One of many frustrating things about finance professionals is the gender bias in their treatment.

I work with construction trades and builders and MANLY MACHO MEN and am frequently the only woman in the room, or - in more progressive teams, maybe one of 10-30% - and none of those butch mothers *ever* treat me with as much gender bias as, say, my actual higly educated tax accountant or my actual gay financial planner or the fucking fucking fucking bank, who can SEE that I am the earner and yet persistently put everything in my husband's name despite what we ask them to do.
