drew some of my fav ody designs! wasnt originally meant to be also replicating the styles but thats sort of just how my brain works. except i didnt copy the lineart styles of anyone here so its DEFINITELY a bit uncanny for a couple of these (LOOKING AT YOU QINNY IM SO SORRY) but whatever

WITH A GUN. gfrdfvb vfrdedrf #i am a very normal non anxiety having person i swear guys #worst thing i did here was have odys hands very visible for the qinny one. because i didnt realize the way they draw hands is very realisti #BUT THEIR WHOLE STYLE HAS REALLY REALISTIC ANATOMY I SHOULVE KNOWN #irunakis style is SO fun to draw in bc its a lot like some of my older art so its very familiar yk yk i wasnt worrying too much about makin #-things accurate. but i think that accidentally made me too comfortable and so i ended up straying a bit too much #i think a lot of irunaki and qinnys styles specifically is in the lineart. so me using my normal style of lines makes them less recognizabl #anyways. neals odysseus i have shit talked in private (its a good design it just feels uncanny w/ jorges voice to me) but hes really-#-interesting to draw. i wanna do style studies on neal their characters have a very. idk animated feels like the wrong word but like.#something like animated. feeling to them. theyre very distinct in shape i wanna do studies thats it #bigidiotenergy i found this morning while FINALLY looking at cloudysseus art and instantly fell in love w their design #i need to ruffle his hair. hes so silly. absolutely incredible design. but GOD was the style a nightmare #it was too late id already comitted to trying to replicate the styles. but ohhh my god its so far from my own it was so hard #theres so much detail in places i dont normally put any at all #and its like. WAUGH its scary i need to do anatomy studies in general maybe #uhh havent commented on the gigi one. he was really easy to draw though lol. weirdly enough gigis style was close enough to my current one-#-that i didnt have any trouble whatsoever? and i think its the most accurate too but only because of the lineart styles being similar lol #ALSO NOT TO PLAY FAVORITES BUT FOOP ODYSSEUS IS MY FAVORITE #I LOVE HIMMM I LOVE HIS SILLY SHAPES HE LOOKS LIKE A WEIRD CAT KINDA. man, you ever realize you needed to correct a small character detail to make it more accurate and then it peeves you off a lil 💀💀💀

#specifically I just swapped around the eye colors for my splatoon agent 4's heterochromia because APPARENTLY #red is pretty dark when grayscaled . and the reason i wanted to grayscale it in the first place was for whenever #i do a colorless doodle of them (grayscale values are fun)- but now 'm teased over the bday art i made of him cuz its inaccurate #ngl been beefin with his eyecolor a while but 'm just gonna try to stick with what i got- cant go changin it all willy nilly cuz it'll also #affect his brothers' appearances . i think a red and gray eye tho is a nifty color combo but then that makes me beef with hair design .#still not sure how im really gonna go about coloring splatoon OCs' hair cuz i like colored tips but also i tend to like #making it game accurate?? i think i just need to suck it up and do what i want forever (do colored tips even if theyre a lil harder)#i mention colored tips cuz originally they were a light blue . but i dont want TOO many different colors (i already have #yellow/red/gray on him so blue might be much) :( and like I could maybe just change the gray eye to blue but then???#it'll make his brother have the wrong eye color in the trans roblox drawing :( plus theres kind of a reason i made an eye red and the other #something plain (the contrast in colored appearance wise . plus my agent 4 is hella self conscious abt his looks) so its not #like i can really change it . augh im at a loss on what to do !! mm might just make it so that the colored tips go darker #rather than colored. good news: i have a pattern that'll work well enough for this, and im not so invested in the outcome to make major changes.

tossing veycer there for scale and also because hes important to their fucked up sibling dynamic. but i think sheala would make u go insane analyzing.

sheala has a LOT of depth and theres a lot of politics involved (one day i think i will have to make a heres volfoss' politics in a silly slideshow or something bc there is so much.) so i will do my best to explain why i think you would like her :)

first off. she is very good at hiding her tragedy and well um. theres not a better example of this than on the ikuaipe route (shes part of the ikuaipe army, which is like one of the 3 major countries in volfoss). to simplify it as much as i can, there is a war going on bc asdenia (one of the other big 3 countries) refuses to export rare metals to ikuaipe, who use them to make drugs. there is no reason explained for WHY they stopped this but thats all u really need to know about the war bc its complicated and they get into a lot of stuff w the drugs (specifically on like. how withdrawal is handled and how restricting supply from people isn't immediately going to fix their issues etc, its handled very well) in detail in game but. sheala's older brother is veycer who is the head of the army (he fucking sucks. i hope he dies soooo bad but he is also written with depth and like. kind of even tho he DOES some over the top evil stuff [like well. the incident im about to get into lol], he still is given enough character that he's fleshed out properly. all of the "villains" are but thats besides the point.) plays a very big part in well. why sheala would make you go make so many character studies on her.

anyways dear god. politics explained and hatred for veycer being put in there in advance. sheala goes on a mission (where shes a commander, so has a decent amount of responsibility there, and more specifically is leading the rear of the troops, veycer is leading the front) and gets ambushed pretty bad. to the point that when shalvas (who you would also love. but it would take me like 3x as long to get into his diseases. i promise youd love him tho, hes the silly protagonist) arrives, theres just one soldier left of her unit bc the rest of them were killed, and that soldier dies shortly after. sheala is facing one of the four heroes (who basically are some of the strongest characters in the world, and are sworn to remain neutral (they are not by the point of the war, so one of them is fighting on the side of asdenia. its a lot of politics im so sorry) and a BIG amount of very tough enemies on her own when shalvas arrives. shes dealing with a ton of guilt about the entire team she was leading dying (which honestly like. she couldnt do much about bc of how strong the guy thats part of the 4 heroes is) and is completely determined to stay, even if it costs her her life. she's someone thats very loyal and very stubborn and this is not so great for her. thankfully, shalvas is able to persuade her by basically saying hey. if you died it would cause more trouble for veycer than if you lived. thats the ONLY way she would go back despite being in pretty bad shape and being completely willing to let her life go there.

on the way back, shalvas clearly is having the very awkward moment of ok. she is clearly upset and i do not know how to make it better (he is like. very very blatantly written as autism to me, so he communicates in a way thats very awkward a lot of the time, or just is silent. which is honestly very cool of him), so after Sheala apologizes for everything to him, he tells her that she can always fight the hero again (because yk. she didnt die lol) and then IMMEDIATELY denies it when she asks if hes comforting him. their dynamic is really nice because its just like two weird as fuck guys trying to be friends.

which um. well you see. veycer sucks so bad. and he is incredibly mad at how badly sheala fucked up with letting her troop get killed (guy that loves to get so mad soooo much of the time for no good reason other than its fun for him). and hes having a little moment of its fun to do drastic punishment and despite another army officer (who youll def see a lot if you play, his name is auveon. hes friends w sheala) begging him to not do it, he orders sheala's execution. (and when i tell you i felt like i was going to puke reading this for the first time, i do mean it. this is the 2nd route ive done, so id already seen a lot of her and liked her a lot, and ofc the more ive interacted w her in this (and the last route) ive cared a lot more about her. so it was like oh ok. we are suffering). veycer basically is just like well um. she fucked up BAD and she cant get any leniency for that. yeah even if she IS my sister, people would see me as a weak commander if i gave her a lesser punishment so um lol. all of the soldiers are pleading with him to not do it and auveon asks if sheala wants to plead her case and um. well she says "I will follow Your Excellency’s orders. I am prepared to give up this life at any time if I am told to die." like. what is your DEAL.

she is fine eventually tho, just got demoted and veycer had the fucking nerve to be like omg i loveee my family thank you shalvas for protecting her. which is then like ok. did she know he wasnt really going to do it. or is he just lying to shalvas for fun. its insane to me they have such a fucking weird dynamic bc sheala worries about veycer a lot and then veycer is like um. ok i kill you with rocks and hammers. but i promise i love you.

ANYWAYS. some of the other things i really like about sheala. she has a quick temper and will NOT hesitate to call someone out on BS (this gets her in trouble a lot but shes very capable. when i fought her in the first route it was the worst fight of the game bc she is THAT strong) but she is also very kind as a person. she and turi-marrya (shes a water maiden but is also genuinely so fucking cool and i could go insane over her. easily.) in both routes ive played, despite being on opposing sides are very kind to each other and very polite (both of them having a lot of respect for the other, given some events in the game.) i think just like the way that she is facing a lot of tragedy (mainly due to VEYCER.) and yet is still brave enough to keep going but also does have a lot of moments where the grief does hit her and she is clearly struggling to deal with it. i think youd love her.

neeko is still our online persona. really she's just us when we dont know who we are, like the blind eternities from the MTG world. we prefer to be called by the name of whoeveres fronting tho, being called neeko and referring to the body as neeko was causing lots of disconnect i think. still love the lizard, will keep her forever. need to make a squishy bouncy vtuber model to stream with of her. shes the only visage we could really settle on. she's kind of an OC at this point lol....

#we like her being our online persona because shes moe empathy shapeshifter #which is what we are but it was confusing #she was like a grand illusion spell of various kinds #it was a performance but it was all we had since we kinda were missing a center #but since madoka reintegrated and tomori unmasked herself we've felt better #we always have tomori shes our center #bpd solved...?/half-joking(?)#its a half joke because it was just tomoris #natsukis and nymph still got the war to fight #tomori is kinda our host i guess but we dont like thinking about ourselves like that #“center self” is more accurate #like shes not the main fronter but she's the one that we do stuff for our civilight #we've always wanted to be known as the system that loves neeko #hence neeko-system #works better as an art blog i think #this one is just too personal and haphazard which we thought was congruent with neeko but its a little different #the art being personal and haphazard makes sense for her #our art still has the narrative of neeko exploring nevermore. since shes like our internal puppet for finding new things #but if we need to be a person (most of the time) shes not good to have out #like yeah i know someone else wrote her.. but also no they didnt :)#neeko refers to us but it would kinda be like calling a dog 'dog'#sometimes that dog is dogmode but has names otherwise #saying 'neeko' is our name made it too confusing since she's not always around. we just kinda pretended it targeted us because it was the #best way to refer to us since who else would be 'neeko' be referring too. but we have since gained the confidence to say our name #or tell people to ask who's fronting. we were too scared since we only had our shitty family that treated us like one person #all the requests were tailored as if talking to one person 'you know who you are' hahah no #whihc is why we came up with 'neeko' but the illusion was that we had one name #like i could go get her but she wouldn't be much help -> suffering silently. pretending we were her because at least we might get love #WRONG !!! you always deserve love #something something stage persona....

Realized that I may have accidentally made the staliens planet have an axial tilt of around 90° (begins rapidly losing realism points)

#rat rambles #oc posting #eternal gales #I was thinking abt the main two regions that Ive developed the seasons of and realized hm.#one region that has super extreme seasons that go from searing heat to fridgid cold #and another that doesnt varry much seasonally and also spends most of the year in a constant state of twilight #there sure is an axial tilt that has those traits and is also hypothetically wildly inhospitable to most life #as I've said before I dont care abt making the staliens and their planet hyper realistic (as becomes clear within seconds of scrutiny)#but I do like fucking around with this sorta stuff so this is both a cool thing to realize and a sort of miserable thing to realize #mostly because I have No idea where that leaves the temperature situation in the region the main cast come from #they logistically are likely by the equator and Im sure I can find a bunch of ppl who've talked abt the logistics of what that region would #look like on this sort of planet from a climate perspective so I might look into that at some point #again my main concern is temurature as while Ive always imagined the area is on the cooler end its never been intended to be proper cold #mainly because as Ive said before I imagine they live in a swampy region #and Im not a swamp expert but I imagine they mostly are around in more humid areas #and cold and humid arent exactly best buddies #ofc I can just pull shit out of my ass to make the area warmer need be I just like whining #but yeah this is pretty important for me to at least have a vague understanding of so when I eventually make a world map its not just #complete nonsense and also so I can more accurately build the different cultures across different regions #now to be fair the surface environment wont actually be very important to a lot of herds but its important to Me ok

As upsetting as it was for me to learn that Cid and Vincent aren't party members in rebirth, and not even guests like Red was, I'm actually pretty glad about it now. I'm 63% of the way through the game and still have to leave the Gongaga Region, do Cosmo Canyon, and then get to Nibelheim and make it to the room Vincent is in in the mansion before he even so much as exists basically. That actually does leave very little of the game left to even use him if he were a full party member, let alone Cid who should be joining a whole region later. I think I would be much happier to have them for what could be considered longer at the start of part 3 rather than getting them two-thirds into rebirth and not having much time to enjoy them to their fullest. Plus it means even more time to let Square cook with Vincent's transformations.

#also considering how you dont meet yuffie until actuallu getting to junon and she doesnt JOIN until after costa del sol #AND cait didnt join until leaving corel prison. it would make sense that cid and vincent wouldnt officially join until a bit after when they #would in the original #which would mean even less time to use them if they were playable #however on the other hand i do think it might diminish the hike up mount nibel where the boss there is designed to fuck you over if you use #vincent without knowing about its element beforehand #i feel like as a constant vincent user in the og thats a vital experience that should be included in that part but i guess thats only #if you actually get and/or use vincent in the og. but idk. idk how the scene will go in rebirth since im obviously not there yet #for all i know maybe we do see vincent transform. i have no idea how involved he gets since i think i remember an interview saying #cid and vincent will show up for vital moments???#idk if thats accurate. could mean they act in independantly doing their own thing or they maybe its wrong and they travel with you #but obviously just dont engage in combat #idk idk im scared now. i want them to be there the whole time!!! i dont want them to miss moments!!!!
