rereading the fhsy transcripts and jesus guys kristen really was hedging all her bets on tracker.

like she had the bad kids of course she had the bad kids but at every moment it keeps coming back to her looking for tracker especially in the forest it’s just. idk there are these moments throughout where it’s the boys all together, it’s fig and ayda and adaine, but kristen is so often to the side and it’s her own fault cuz she has staked her whole life to tracker it feels like.

i know people have said it before but it really does ring true that as a cleric over everything else that season kristen was devoting herself to tracker. even in the moments of forgetfulness and fucking up in the relationship there was so much devotion and to go from that to rift between them junior year i just.

tracker was her everything for little while and then… gone. how do you devote yourself to a god that is part of the reason the one person who mattered the most to you left?

being casual and super heterosexual by making a found family army with my girl best friend/the first person who ever understood me,

we make up by fighting for the same cause and she risks everything in order for me to get back to my sister i was searching for, we talk about how we will be together once it all blows over.

and then she’s bleeding out on my lap and im holding her hand so tight that i think we both broke a tiny bone. i see the blood on her face and it brings me home, in that moment we’re both just the terrified kids we were when we first met.

im having thoughts about transfem stevie who kinda realized she liked feminine things while dating nancy. and so sometimes stevie would take interest in nancy's makeup, leading to nancy sometimes doing her makeup or hair. nancy, who had never been in a long-term relationship before this, kinda just assumed this was normal boyfriend and girlfriend things and goes along with it, because "steve probably did this with his previous girlfriends, right?" (She did not do things like that with them, Stevie was just sharing more of herself because she was in love with nancy)

And so when Nancy and Jonathan start dating, Nancy suggests playing with Jonathan's hair, because the makeup part didn't really seem like something Jonathan would enjoy when she thought about it but mussing with her boyfriend's hair seemed perfectly normal. Jonathan, also having never been in a relationship before, also presumes this to be normal, and frankly enjoys when it happens.

meanwhile Stevie's kinda fully coming to the realization around the scoops area of time that "holy fuck, i dont just like girly shit. I am a girl." Then she comes out to Robin after starcourt, who encourages her to lean more into it and helps her begin to transition. And that she should have guessed based on how Stevie told her "at least the girl's uniform is cuter. I'd rock that in a heartbeat." wholehearted and dead serious.

and later on she comes out to most of the group, and mentions having known for a long time that she was a girl. And nancy is like wait how long because it had only been 2 years now since they broke up. and Stevie kinda shrugs and was like "i mean, it was pretty obvious looking back, like with the whole hair and makeup thing that happened while we dated was definitely a sign" to which nancy and jonathan are like "wait the hair thing isn't normal?" and stevie's like "?????? what. no???"

And this is how Jonathan's egg cracks and Nancy realizes she's maybe actually a lesbian?

Rhaenicent is so important to me on many levels, to the point that I feel my identity is incomplete without them. And I know that may sound silly, but Rhaenicent is not only an extremely important part of my lesbian and queer identity, but also being my 2years (and going) special interest that helped me get an autism diagnosis. The ship is my biggest comfort, and whilst my obsession with them has bordered on unhealthy at times and I’ve prioritised thinking about them over assignments or work, the comfort the ship brings me has brought me out of deep depressions and spirals.

So yea if you couldn’t tell already rhaenicent is very important to me!
