goddammit i think my dentist's office stopped taking my insurance sometime in the last six months. of course they did not tell me. i've already confirmed my appointment and it's within the next 24 hours anyway so now i probably have to either pay the cancellation fee (whatever it is, i can't tell from their website but i assume they have one) or pay out of pocket for a cleaning. i feel like it should not be on me to confirm that they still take my insurance before every appointment, i feel like they should let me know if they've dropped my plan and ask if i still want to come in. that does not seem unreasonable to me. but no now i'm probably out hundreds of dollars for no reason.

One of the most disgusting things that "pro-palestine" people on this site do is saying 'if this happened in Ukraine everyone would be talking about it' and then:

1. The claim about Palestine is usually either false or massively exaggerated

2. That has happened in Ukraine. Every lie/ exaggeration you have told about palestine is true for Ukraine (see claims of a genocide, civilian deaths, killing members of the press etc)

3. No they wouldn't! Reporting of the attack on Ukraine has massively decreased because it isn't considered newsworthy, and especially on social media, you people are all too busy being rabidly antisemitic to care. it’s actually so wild to me that this fairly quirky YA type show gave both of its main characters deaths that can, in one way or another, solidly be considered hate crimes. they were both flat out murdered as a result of being A) gay and effeminate or B) brown (south asian, specifically) and you could argue whether or not those kids thought of it that way in the moment or whatever but the bottom line is that they would not have been in the situations that killed them if they weren’t of their respective minorities. like legitimately that is a ballsy choice for this kind of netflix show, let alone for the two Main Characters, and i respect it big time
