♡ when your bump gets big enough, you start using it as a table! when he first sees you using your bump as a table for cups of water or bowls of fruit he literally cannot stop laughing, he thinks it’s the funniest ( but also the cutest ) thing ever, he takes so many pictures of different objects being balanced on your bump but eventually he starts using it as a table for bowls too - popcorn bowl for movie night? balanced on your bump, shared between you two

“ it’s very useful actually, cute too… like you, meine liebe” ( he’ll absolutely start using it as a table more than you do )

୨୧ when your cravings start, you think you got lucky with not so weird ones; banana slices with chocolate spread, chocolate spread with sprinkles on toast, strawberries coated with chocolate! nico was also a big fan of these cravings

♡ he builds a tree swing in your back garden for when the baby is older and your hormones have you sobbing about how cute it is in his arms for way too long… he almost starts to regret building it because he just hates to see you cry

୨୧ when your water breaks, he’s asleep… you shake him awake and all that talk about him being so prepared for when it happens goes right down the drain and he is all over the place, running around the house like a headless chicken trying to find all the stuff before driving you to the hospital ( his f1 past came in very handy there )

♡ when you’re giving birth, he’s the biggest hype man! did you nearly break both of his hands and tell him you hate him? yes! does he mind? not at all! he just keeps kissing your forehead and making sure you know how much he loves you and how he’s so proud of you

୨୧ the birth is long and gruelling… but nico practically never left the room, only ever leaving to get you more water and ice chips and call your family!

♡ eventually, with the worst pain you’ve ever felt in your entire life and a whole lot of pushing, you give birth and it’s a girl! nico immediately burst into tears the second he saw her

“ i’m so happy and you’re laughing at me! for crying at the sight of our child! ” ( you weren’t laughing AT him… okay, you were… )

୨୧ the tiny girl is placed on your chest and has the rosiest cheeks you’ve ever seen! and so the name pops into your head right away…

“ rosie rosberg, yeah, she looks like a rosie ” ( he would later say she smelled like a rose too, he loved that newborn smell )

♡ the little rabbit nickname only came to be because when he held her for the first time in the hospital, he kissed her on the nose and it twitched like a little rabbit, his little rabbit

୨୧ everyone thinks it YOU who dresses rosie up like a doll / princess but it’s actually nico! he absolutely loves buying her new dresses and little tiny shoes <3

♡ whenever he’s abroad for an event that you and rosie can’t come to for whatever reason, he’ll always go into the city and go to cute boutique’s for new handmade dresses and shoes for her!

୨୧ speaking of whenever he’s away, he hates leaving you two… you used to be able to go with him but because of rosie being a newborn / toddler it’s just easier and less stressful for you to stay at home with her! he facetimes you at least five times a day, needing to see his two girls

♡ when he gets home, you pick him up from the airport with rosie and he nearly cries everytime! he gives you a kiss and a hug before moving over to his little rabbit and just SMOTHERS her in kisses, telling her in a mix of german and finnish how much he missed her

“ i missed you so much my little rabbit, we must go home and cuddle with mummy, yes? ” ( he also can’t wait to get home and show you all of the new clothes he bought her and some jewellery for you, of course )

୨୧ her first word is “ papa ” almost immediately followed up with “ mama ” nico nearly screamed out of happiness… but held it in, picked her up and started planting kisses on her cheeks and praising her instead! you’re not upset at all, you know how much of a daddy’s girl she is <3

♡ not too long after, she takes her first steps! nico, being the hype man he is, was cheering her on from behind while you sat across from her and gesture towards you! he was very protectively holding two hands just barely away from her hips, just in case she fell… the second she makes it all the way over to you by herself ( with nico’s hands by her sides ) you’re both immediately showering her with praise and kisses while she giggles

୨୧ along comes her first birthday! he doesn’t want to spoil her too much but… well, one look at her chubby, rosie cheeks and it just kind of happens! you try to tell him off but when he shows you the stuff he got her you can’t help but coo at how cute it all is and hey, you’ll keep it all for any future babies ( cough cough, little ladybug )

♡ the birthday party is small, taking place in your back garden, only close friends and family in attendance! nico hardly sets rosie down the entire day, everyone coming up and cooing over her while nico kisses her head and fixes the bows her hair <3

୨୧ eventually the day is over, baby rosie has had more than enough cake ( which got all over her dress and the frosting covered her rosie cheeks, only causing more cooing from people ) nico puts her to sleep in her room and when you two are in bed together, he just can’t stop telling you how happy he is… he was already so happy with just you but now you AND rosie? he’s at peace… you share a lot of kisses and whispered words of adoration towards each other before falling asleep cuddled up

♡ you guys take her on so many countryside walks and outings… nico rarely putting her down to walk, he just adores holding his little girl… he points out every rabbit you guys see to her

“ look rosie! a little rabbit, like you, but you’re my little rabbit ”

୨୧ time skip a couple years, rosie is 5 and it’s time for her to start primary school… nico is NOT excited…

♡ the night before her first day, you watch him in bed as he lays on his back staring at the ceiling…

“ i just don’t get it meine liebe… she could fit in one of my arms just yesterday… how is she starting primary school already? this isn’t right… ”

୨୧ safe to say he just cannot believe how big his baby is already :( he thinks time is going too fast and you spend the night comforting him and telling him that no, you cannot homeschool her!

♡ in the morning, he’s still pretty solemn but puts on a brave face for his girl and helps her get dressed into her outfit then comes downstairs to help pack her lunch with you

୨୧ he puts an extra fruit snacks packet in for her with a post-it note attached simply reading “ my little rabbit, papa loves you more than the whole wide world, be good ” ( you see it and tear up a little )

♡ when you drive her to school, he takes a few seconds to breathe before getting out and helping her climb out of the car, he nearly burst into tears when she says “ i don’t need your help papa! i’m a big girl now ” you did too… you both give her a big hug and lots of kisses before sending her into her first class

୨୧ he doesn’t say a word on the drive home, you ask him if he’s okay when you’re parked up outside the house and he just crumbles

♡ you needed to give him LOTS of kisses that day and reassure him that she’s still his little rabbit

♡ he practically speeds to the primary school and you both wait outside the car for her to come out… when she does, she runs right to her papa

୨୧ according to her teacher, she had a bit of a meltdown and wanted to see her papa but it’s normal for children to do so they didn’t call you guys

♡ nico is mad as fuck while you try to calm him down and tell him it’s fine

୨୧ it IS fine, she got over it very quickly when she was given crayons and paper by the teacher to draw her papa a picture

♡ he framed the picture, as he does with basically everything she ever draws him <3 you guys have a whole wall in the dining room made up of all her drawings, he always shows it off to guests

୨୧ over the next couple of months he’s still pretty sad about how his little rabbit really is growing up and there’s nothing he can do about it :(

♡ you always assure him that he’ll always be her papa and she’ll never not love him so much but you can tell he misses the days where he could hold her in one arm and cuddle her for hours

୨୧ so you knew he’d be pretty excited when you told him you were pregnant again! this new baby wouldn’t replace his little rabbit, of course not, but you knew he’d be over the moon to be able to experience all of those newborn things again

Sun Wukong Height:

Here’s my PERSONAL take on Monkey King Height for some universes. I was going to wait for the figures for BMW to be released but they take FOREVER. And we were talking about it in my server so here goes!

****GAME SPOILERS BELOW****

(IN FEET.INCHES)

BMW is decently tall - 5.8-5.11 - genuinely appears about average human height in the game.

JTTW Shorter depending 3-4ft ish give or take (I think pretty short though)

Monkey King Reborn - Shortish 5-5.5 he is almost average person height I think here as Master is fairly tall (almost as tall as Wujing) & Comparing Wujing next to a village human then Wujing next to Wukong, Wukong give or take is the same height as a human. Also, Pigsy is just shy of Masters height and Wukong is almost the same height as Pigsy but a liiiittle but shorter. (This was annoying because both Wukong and Pigsy slouch almost the entire movie and there are a LOT of angles and visual trickery with background and foreground stuff. I even tried comparing to doors but it’s inconsistent.)

Nezha Reborn - Tall 5.8-5.11

I think PERSONALLY, he’d be tall in BMW specially. I know in JTTW he’s fairly small - they saw him more as a monkey at the time right? So somewhere between an actual monkey and probably short adult human 3-4ft something? Where as modern times we see him as “anthropomorphic” but human leaning. So it makes sense for us to scale him up and change some features. He is a “demon” after all as well. *Plus I’m bias on the idea that I want him at least human sized - idc if he’s a short king or a tall king necessarily.*

ANYWAY! *see under the cut*

In BMW we see at the beginning Wukong is shorter than Erlang (not as big of a difference during cut scenes though) during the first fight of the game, but in some clips I was watching recently (modded game lol) the Broken Shell of Wukong stands at the same height ish as Erlang. So while I was already fairly certain this was a “design” choice by the devs to make it easier to see the broken shell when you fight him, this confirms it for me too. Broken shell is MUCH taller than DO during the battle.

When in cut scenes during that fight they are the same height, build, etc:

Basically what I was getting at is this, it’s clear bosses are scaled up in the game to make them easier to see as well as make them more intimidating to the player (which I think is pretty universally understood). So in a way, it’s deceptive of actual height. Untrustworthy.

So, let’s factor this instead: Wukong is an anthropomorphic monkey. Let’s say he’s between 5’ and 5’11 give or take to give him some wiggle room.

Erlang, isn’t a regular “human” by any means so him being taller than average makes sense. The other demons? Same thing. Especially creatures that are actually bigger than a monkey - like a tiger. Some other creatures we see SHOULDNT be that big though. For example insect demons. Yet they are when they should be smaller than Wukong if you’re going by “scale up based on a specific average”.

So again, deception. Height doesn’t follow natural normal rules for everyone (magic). Yes sizes can change based on certain lore & magic things and Wukong can adjust his size as to be bigger or smaller.

I don’t think Wukong is super tall or anything by any means though, that’s why I said give or take in the “head canon” estimate earlier. He’s basically a compact power house - think like how ants can lift 10-50 times their body weight. He’s agile and lithe with muscles designed to be swift and quick, he’s a monkey so he’s all energetic. Hes not meant to be a body builder (like some *Tiger 👀*……YES he is strong as fuck - this isn’t about his abilities. *Also I’m not saying any of you dudes that aren’t 6ft aren’t ‘tall’ but I’m 5.5 and “tall” to me is 6ft and up.*

Anyway, I’m getting at that Destined One is a near carbon copy of Wukong and no matter how you SEE the ending of BMW be it DO just gains Wukongs memory or Wukong is made whole again and absorbs DO and takes his memories of his short life/journey for the artifacts - the two Monkeys are the same height.

So Monkey is fairly tall also based on in game things like surroundings etc. Hes not tiny. The game devs have deceived us throughout the game regarding height in several ways since it’s not consistent.

(Funny side note, if you add an inch or two to DO and feel they are separate beings - Wukong being offended by that would kill me with laughter and be hilarious - or if they are the same and Wukong realizes it after he “awakens”)

So basically, imagine him as tall as you want 🤣 I HC as mentioned above give or take for a specific AU I make. No joke depending on what AU I have I make him as tall or short as I need. So no one is wrong, okay?

Last note: this is before figures come out (yes there was the one but idk its actual metrics and while it can help to figure out size it won’t necessarily be an end game as everything surrounding bmw and height is genuinely inconsistent as hell.

Female Noah headcannons part 3:

There's a running gag where the rest of the OG cast + sierra just assumes Neha has internalised homophobia. They all believe she's a feminine gay man who's either in denial or doesn't trust them about it, they have debates about it. She's straight and she tells them this repeatedly with no further information and intentionally vague cause honestly, she finds the entire thing hilarious. "Yeah, our friend Jeremy told us that he's gay and we were super supportive of him" "what do you think noah?" "that's nice I guess, don't know why you're asking me though, I'm straight not homophobic, Katie" or like "we all saw you staring at Alejandro's ...as...sets string bean you're not that slick" "okay.. and? I've already told you that I'm only attracted to the opposite sex Leshawna, idk what else you want from me"

Speaking of Alejandro, Neha falls big time without even realising it at first. She starts off wanting to see behind his mask (only seeing little bits previously like when he snickered at her comments), purposefully prodding him in London cause she was bored with Izzy gone and he seemed like a fun puzzle to solve -plus it's not like she's not going to get her job back so she's not that bothered if she gets eliminated. She sees the glare he gives her and immediately decides that she needs to see more of what he's really like, further cemented when he basically gloated about getting her booted. Cause if he's that smug then clearly he has something backing it up and despite knowing he had a hand in previous eliminations, she still doesn't know enough about it to say for certain. The first thing she does after getting to the hotel is binge the previous episodes almost religiously. And she notices how flat show Alejandro is compared to confessional Alejandro. Like, he's cunning, ruthless, intelligent, sarcastic, a bit dorky at times and not to mention how much hotter he becomes when he's not putting on an act. Of course she rants about this to Izzy and Eva. Izzy teases her for having a crush on him and Eva calls her a simp. She begins to deny it then stops, thinks it over a couple of moments and immediately stares deadpan at the two of them and just replies with "I'm going to marry that man". Cue team escope shenanigans on how to seduce a guy who might match their crazy

Attractive people have no effect on Neha, all of her family are considered to be far above average attractiveness and they're all unique about it, not carbon copies, so she just considers it normal. Like she sees Justin who everyone is thirsting over and thinks 'ew he's actually kinda ugly' -she's definitely attracted to intelligence. Because of this she's a bit blind to what counts as physically attractive to most people.

Alejandro doesn't originally get along with her brothers, they're a bit too protective of her and just see him as another pretty face so they don't accept him as part of the family. It isn't until they're having an evening with the families and José says something unsavoury and horrible to Neha that causes Alejandro to go completely off it at him do they start to like him. Almost immediately they start calling him little brother and including him in their plans and trips. They mainly bond over bullying José.

Neha's mother is a retired opera singer who basically required all of her children to take singing lessons since they could talk. It's cause of this that Neha knows how to control her vocal chords enough to do vocal impressions of people (which was going to be her talent when she originally signed up to total drama). This also means that she's able to continue to do a more masculine voice throughout the seasons without hurting her vocal chords. Something she's incredibly grateful for (cause as if she's going to use her skills to actually sing on that forsaken show). Her Auntie (on her mother's side) is a fashion designer who makes clothes for the family, she originally started with making Neha's mother's dresses for concerts. She literally cried when Neha showed her what she was wearing on TD.

YAP ALERT! Bc I have so much to talk about her!!! (Also I’m glad you like the Star Carrier concept because YES, to me it just felt right and thinking about a more whiny Starscream it’s funny to think about!!)

Okay so LETS BEGIN!

1.- Her names are both a mix of Human + Cybertronian names. Bee suggested the human name (it was TC’s idea*) and Starscream suggested the Cybertronian name, because no way in hell his sparkling is going to be name after something the “fleshings” invented. They had a full debate on how to name her and it took them months before deciding that both names are okay.

[Ironically Starscream calls her Rory and Bee calls her Soo]

2. She can be considered a very spoiled child, she basically gets all what she wants if she asks, their parents give her everything but she doesn’t act like spoiled child, she’s actually a very sweet bot once you gain her confidence! Spoiled sweet if you want to name it

3. She’s a Sire’s girl. After the war and Bee trying to play the diplomat (again) he just realized it wasn’t really for him, too much pressure and basically became the cybertronian equivalent of stay home dad, while Starscream (after getting his body back) with tons of effort and trial, became a judge inside the Supreme Justice Court in the New Cybertron.

She grew up mostly with Bee, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t love her carrier just as much.

4. Aurora absolutely loves Windblade and Windblade absolutely loves her.

I hc that Bee and Wind see each other as siblings, so that’s her fav auntie, because by Primus, she has a lot of aunts and uncles (courtesy of Bee’s friendly personality). And from the Elite trine, she likes to hang out with TC more, she likes to hear what his new script going and also stories of Marissa and Buster and wishes she met them.

5. One of my fav details about her. Her eyes. Probably you notice but Aurora is basically the carbon copy of Bee, everything about her is just like looking at a femme Bee BUT her eyes are completely different. She got her eyes from Star, it presented as a manifestation of Starscream’s true form, almost like a sign of “you were able to become your true self”.

And of course, Starscream loves her eyes. And it’s more deep than just vanity and seeing himself somewhere in her. He’s happy she had the opportunity to be who she was intended to do, something that was took away from him.

6. She is the equivalent of a 18-19 year old in Cybertronian years.

7. She never got to met Optimus nor Megatron. She did hear about them and the war (I mean of course Bee and Star are basically veterans) she knows more about Optimus and she constantly has a dream where she meets him. Bee tells her he’s probably visiting her, that’s something Optimus will do.

Megatron is a more mysterious topic for her, she knows him by the stories others tells her but she hears almost nothing about him from Starscream. He tells her is better to leave it that way, Megatron’s memory doesn’t deserve to remain hunting him or his family. (Tho that doesn’t stop Star from still making fun of Megatron )

8. (this is more a Starscream fact inside this universe but it’s still related to Aurora) Starscream had a hard time trying to find a way to show her affection towards her without fucking it up. When he discovered they were having a sparkling he was nonchalant at first but as soon as he started to actually feel Aurora’s spark growing inside him something in him changed. He started to panic, so oddly of him, but he realized he doesn’t know how to be a parent and properly show affection.

Sure, he does show affection towards Bee, but that’s because Bee made it easier for him. Bee was a full formed bot. But this little sparkling was something new, something HE DID and for the first time he tried his best to not self sabotage himself ever again.

Aside of Bee, Windblade helped him a lot to process his feelings and he started to stand her, just a little.

[*Aurora’s name]: Thundercracker being the one with the idea of Aurora’s names is an understatement.

It was more like: Bee went to TC to ask him for advice because he couldn’t decide a name. TC was just nodding while writing his new script and Bee ranted in the background, he nodded at every statement of Bee, not really paying attention.

And accidentally he blurted aloud the name of Aurora while also coming out for the name of his new co-protagonist and Bee absolutely loved it and basically stormed off from TC’s home. He was so confused.

Like a lot of people I sometimes ponder what my favorite characters might look like if they were allowed to grow older. I've been seeing a lot of good designs for older Soren specifically so of course I got to thinkin' about my own take!

Some notes on design process under the cut cause I think we should all share our thought process once in a while:

So, for this I didn't want to just want to go with "Soren, exactly the same but older". My thought was "if I was actually in charge of designing for a fire emblem game, one that takes place in a future Tellius perhaps and featuring this character as a guest (a la Tiki or the Awakening trio, which they should keep doing BTW) how would I go about doing that".

You have to think of course, about what the character is actually doing and what their role is. It seems pretty likely that after RD Soren is either traveling the world with Ike or wandering around (probably the former) so "traveler" was the theme. As far as the overall shape and the outer layer especially it seemed obvious to reference the dragons, who are also travelers:

I don't want to just straight up copy the look of the robes though for a couple of reasons. 1) that's boring and the idea here is for an updated visual style 2) I wanted to combine different elements to evoke a feeling of mixing cultures. I figure if this scenario takes place say, 80 years in the future or something, fashions will have moved forward and perhaps you would see elements of beorc and laguz fashions mixed together. Especially for Soren given what he is. So I went with an inner layer that looks more Victorian puffy sleeves (which you don't actually see a lot of in PoR or RD since the characters favor more stiff looking tunics, but they are there and I figured its the future and maybe Crimea has entered its puffy shirt era) with the outer layer looking more like what the dragons wear. 3) Staying with robes seems kind of stagnant. I imagine that a much older Soren who's lived a good life along side his love has probably chilled out a little bit. A little bit. 4) I think having more leg visible gives a more adult silhouette.

The other consideration is the hairstyle. As much as I love Soren being a carbon copy of Rajaion, it wouldn't be the most interesting design choice if I was the character designer of a game to just copy a past design 1 for 1. So I decided to just lengthen his hair a little bit and give it a look like its been blown around in the wind. Soren is the windy guy and I'm assuming he would be more chill here so why not let it be loose and free? This also helps avoid him just looking like Sephiran cause I see that a lot too lol.

Yes I also changed the shape of his brand. I've always been fascinated by the fact that it changed shape between games. I know it was likely just a design oversight but what if it changed because he isn't an adult yet and it changes more as he ages?

Lastly there's the why. Why would your fav show up as a guest character? What would he even do?? Well I think Soren could be really fun actually if we assume he went with Ike and that Ike kept Ragnell with him. I'm picturing a situation where Ike has lived out his natural life and died, leaving Soren to return to Tellius alone in order to tell Mist's family what happened (cause Ike just left without telling anyone anything lol), and to return Ragnell to them. Instead some conflict breaks out, you know how it is, and the more chilled out Soren is convinced to bestow the sword onto the new starry-eyed lord who reminds him of his beloved.

Oh yeah. I can see it now.

Next thing he knows, you’re leaving. He’d noticed something had been a little.. off about you, you’d been emotional, more quick to outbursts or tears, but he just assumed it was your period, as your cramps were pretty bad.

He didn’t think it’d come to this, to you leaving him. Leaving all of them. He watched you hug Soap and Gaz goodbye, he watched you shake Simon’s hand, and he watched you nod in his direction. He also watched the way your eyes changed when you looked at him. Your pupils grew, your eyes displaying all the love you had for him, but written on your face was purely guilt and shame.

As the time went on, he didn’t think he’d see you again. Ever. He found himself trapped in his work, rarely leaving his office to get food and water or go to sleep. He knew he looked like shit. It was obvious, with his beard growing out, the dark bags beneath his eyes and his hollowed cheeks. He looked like a ghost, frankly. So, the boys decided to get him out. They wanted to take him out for a day in the town, where he wasn’t allowed to work or do anything but have fun. So here he was, waiting for a coffee at a little cafe when he watched you walk in holding a baby. You were pregnant? As he stared, he noticed the baby girl looked so much like him. Her deep blue eyes, a fluffy head of brown hair, just a little carbon copy of him.

You took your baby out to grab a coffee and maybe get her a little treat. You were so focused on your task and your babbling little girl, you didn’t notice the large group of very built men. As you walked to the other side of the counter to wait for your coffee and the muffin you ordered for you and your baby, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned with a smile, expecting a compliment, but as you looked up you were met with the father of your baby. Captain John Price.

“C-captain?” You stuttered, confused and surprised. He looked terrible, sunken eyes and hollow cheeks, out of instinct you reached your hand up and touched his cheek gently.

“Can we speak outside, love?” He asks, and god he sounds horrible too. You nod, walking out with him. He leads you into the alley and leans against the wall, hand over his face. “Is it..” He begins.

“Yes,” You answer quickly. rocking your baby gently.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I didn’t want you to get in trouble, if anyone found out what we were doing.”

“I wouldn’ ‘ave cared, bunny. You know this.”

“It’s- it’s whatever..” You say softly, rocking your baby gently, looking at her instead of price.

“What’s ‘er name?”

“Evangeline.” You answer, rubbing her head gently as she whined and babbled.

“Can.. Can I.. Hold ‘er?” He asks nervously, biting his bottom lip as he looks down at you and your baby- no, his baby, in your arms. He watches you slowly place his baby in his arms, adjusting his arms to support her tiny body and little head properly. He’d always been a man of little emotion, but all the tears he’d drowned in whiskey decided to come up now. You didn’t even quite realize he was crying until you heard him sniffle, looking up and seeing tears streaming down his face as his lips shook. He gently rubs Evangeline’s cheek with his thumb, feeling her soft, perfect skin beneath his rough, calloused finger.

“You’re a natural,” You whisper, placing your hand on his arm. He nods, letting out a small sob and squeezing his eyes shut.

This great, strong man, one who’d seen the horrors of war, death, blood and gore, the man who’d forgotten how to flinch even with a gun at his head, was sobbing over his baby. The one he never even knew existed until now. He was filled with regret and guilt. He couldn’t be there to support you while you were pregnant, to help you take care of the baby, to support you whenever life got too much, to make sure you could afford anything you needed, it hurt. He was supposed to be there for you, but he’d been too much of a pussy to ever try.

So here he stands, holding his baby girl for the first time, sobbing as he admires her. His baby. His little girl. His.

•So he makes sure you can defend yourself, even though you don’t want to become a hero

•Also it gives him the chance to kick your ass when you hide his stuff

•When your brother got into UA, you were really proud of him, but of course you wouldn’t tell him that, he’s an annoying piece of shit, even if you do look up to him a bit

•When he won the sports festival, you were always proud to tell people yes when they asked if he was your brother, it was also a bit awkward when they added something like, “he’s a bit of an asshole isn’t he?” and you could never really deny that

•You saw the change in him during his first year at UA, and it made you even more proud of him, he became kinder, maybe even a bit more patient and above all he repaired his relationship with Midoriya

•You did give him a tearful earful everytime he ended up in the hospital though

•He also grew to kind of regret how much of an asshole he had been to you in the past few years, and he actually apologized to you much before he did to Midoriya

I have a movie rant and I NEED to get it out.

I really need to talk about the third installment to HTTYD. YUP. HTTYD the hidden world

i know this is pretty weird compared my other content and movie/show rants. But I REALLY need to talk about this.

I saw the hidden world when it came out. I thought it was pretty good when I first saw it. But it felt off even the first time through. The thing that made me realize it's mistakes, it was TOOTHLESS- Toothless in the first movie was so fun to watch. He reminded me of a cat, and it was beautifully fun. But in the hidden world? He felt stiff, and- square? I had a hard time enjoying watching him.

Look see what I mean-

In the first film, toothless is primarily triangles, giving him that sleek, interesting look. But by in the 3??? Hes more rectangles.

I HATE THIS. and also- in the first film, toothless is a DARK BLUE- in the 3rd, he's a black color! It's just- ugh.

I love character design, we know this. And I'm not saying I'm perfect at it, BUT THIS???? HUH??

And according to what I read, toothless in the first one was inspired by cats. But in the third, he's inspired by DOGS??? H U H???

And they gave the cat like characteristics to the light fury

OH GOD THE LIGHT FURY.

I've never liked her. She felt so out of place. Her design felt like it was missing things that dragons, ESPECIALLY DRAGONS WHO WERE TRAPPED BY TRAPPERS. she is such a fucking sexist character I hate her.

I mean in the art book they even say they wanted her to have this alluring lady character look. I hate it.

Also look at her design compared to the first movie toothless.

It feels like the light fury is a carbon copy of toothless in the first film.

Also I hate the costumes in the third film they feel like toys *sweats in I literally have action figures so I would know*

Now, my next rant. The comedy.

I will be honest, it made me laugh. Ironically, and more from nostalgia. The humor was so bad. Only two jokes made me laugh. The one in the beginning from toughnut where he says 'no running on deck' that got a chuckle from me. And the second one I don't remember.

One of the running jokes between Valka and snotlout is really creepy and weird. I also hate snotlouts joke of him saying 'who died and made you chief-' and yes, I know he was called out for it, BUT IN THE FIRST TWO FILMS HE WAS NEVER THIS INCONSIDERATE!!

They did my bro dirty. I mena hell, snotlout was someone who looked up to stoak. Who cried at his funeral. It's so out of character. Same thing with everyone else.

I hate this so much.

Oh let's talk about how toxic Light fury and toothless are. Toothless was turned into a horny mess!! And light fury, is just a pleasure tool!! I hate it! Toothless used to be a interesting character with a personality. We don't see any real bonding between toothless and the light fury either! Light fury only has 15 minutes of screen time.

I'm so tired of this movie.

building sets is pretty fun, coming up with the designs is the best part! the pain comes from actually doing the math parts (how heavy my flown stuff can be, the thickness of the wood, what kind of wood, how I'm securing it etc) and because my math is so crap i spend excessively long on it oops. I'm not the one in charge generally, i just build whatever designs they throw my way haha.

the company im with is amateur and we're mostly doing it for the passion! so don't expect much, as for plays I've peformed in, I've done the-scottish-traitor-i-will-not-name, A Christmas Carol, and a few other smaller ones for kids lol. the ones I've helped out in (for stage managing, lighting, etc) are The 39 Steps, Aladdin, Pride and Prejudice, Beauty and The Beast, Jekyll & Hyde etc. i use my weekends to work on them when I'm not yelling at my computer or at the gym!

I've been cast as Noel (I'm awfully masculine so they decided it was fine lol) for Ride The Cyclone which I'm not sure you know. His song (Noel's Lament, you can search it up) is pretty fun, I'm more concerned about the costume... you don't strike me as a theatre kid, though i might be wrong! What kind of music do you listen to dear?

i suppose it's only fair i share three fun facts of my own! 1) i wake up at 5am religiously every single day, and regardless of what time i sleep at my body wakes me up anyways. I'm also the kind that can't fall back asleep once I've opened my eyes so... lol. i usually get a workout in and shower/rot a bit before i headout for classes. if I'm really tired, the latest I've woken up is 8am lol. it's why I've never understood the "fucked-so-good-woke-up-12-hours-later" thing, but that could also be chalked up to my virgin ass oops.

2) i can speak 4 (working towards a fifth) languages, english is actually my third language which is why I'm so scared to post my own work! so I'll stay in the anonymity of my worm field thank you very much. won't share what the rest are because they'd reveal what ethnicity i am, and how am i supposed to be cool and mysterious and nonchalant if people know who i am... hope that's alright <3

3) not really interesting but I'm actually pan! men are great and there are plenty cool ones, it's just really hard for me to find them attractive after they hurl like 10 different slurs at someone or they're just. yeah. no hate to them and i have no preference (which is awfully telling of me, truly, because how do i have literally all avenues and yet remain unable to score a single one smh) and also women are very very very hot. I'm scared to talk to them irl or online which is why I'm anonymous 99% of the time 😅

I'll be honest, i don't think there's much value to be found in 'rank-the-favorites' discussions. like the honest answer is 'it depends' and i just don't think it's productive. I do think that in most cases wrt relationships with bruce, dick is always going to come out on top. as i've said those two are just on a whole other level. they Know Each Other in a way that no one else will even come close to. I don't think it's controversial to posit that actually raising dick from childhood adds a layer to the relationship bruce has with him that really can't be replicated with anyone else. like...jason was with him for 2-3ish years as a tweenager, cass and tim were adopted in their mid teens. meanwhile bruce was effectively dick's parent from age 8 onwards.

I also think the timing is something that would be almost impossible to replicate. dick entered the picture very early into bruce's years as batman. bruce was the one solid thing in dick's life after his parents died. they were literally each other's crutches through all that emotional turmoil and became, for better or for worse, extremely codependent. all that to say, dick and bruce's relationship is just so crazy insane that pretty much nothing compares. he just has the advantage. you can't recreate the mind bogglingly deep connection 25 yo bruce had with 8yo dick grayson it just can't be done.

on the other hand, cass also has something with bruce that can't be replicated by anyone else: she is Exactly Fucking Like Him. she is his carbon copy. they Get each other's rock-solid convictions & moral code sooo deeply. fandom tends to use this as evidence to point towards cass being the favorite child, but like as greta mysterycitrus has eloquently said in the past, she is exactly like him (derogatory). bruce obviously loves cass deeply, that is his daughter, but I don't think having that relationship with her is always easy for him. her existence points out some uncomfortable truths about himself that he doesn't always want to confront. I mean... if you were to meet yourself as a seventeen year old it would probably be weird as FUCK lol. I especially think the fact that cass has killed someone really fucks with his head and forces him to reevaluate his own morals/worldview.

and like...I don't think he always treats cass fairly. we see it over and over again in bg 2000. he thinks he knows what's best for her because he sees himself in her, but the things he thinks are best for himself are Not Healthy to say the least. he intentionally keeps himself at a distance because he initially did not want that close, father-daughter relationship with her: it was strictly batman and batgirl. and he thought that's what she wanted/needed. but being so singlemindedly driven to a cause with no boundaries or normal life is not exactly the best way to go for a teenager. so I think those two had a lot to figure out when the dust settled.

I have much fewer thoughts about jason, tim and damian simply because they are not my blorbos like dick and cass are lmfao. i do think tim deserves a whole lot of credit for stepping in to save bruce and helping when bruce was at his lowest. like. that was obviously NOT easy lol. bruce and tim are interesting because bruce held himself back from being a father to tim for so long, when jack was still in the picture. but when it comes to a head and tim gets adopted, it's just...natural? like there was nothing else that could have happened there? I am honest to god not the biggest tim fan and have not read enough of his comics to talk intelligently on him any more than that lol. but I do know bruce loves him very very much and would be lost without him<3

jason....jason. I mean what is there to say lmfao. if your dead teenager turned up and started mass murdering what would you do. I think it's pretty obvious to say that losing jason was soul-crushing for bruce and permanently changed him as a person; we see those aftereffects in his relationships to people like tim, steph, and cass. jason will never stop being his son, and bruce will never stop loving him. but things will never be the same again. I don't think jason's actions post-resurrection will ever be justifiable or forgivable to bruce. like even if jason woke up one day like 'suddenly i'm cured of being a villain' I don't think he would be welcomed back with open arms or anything. jason is a murderer. he has killed like a fuckton of people in cold blood. that is something that will never be okay with bruce. grappling with loving your son versus your son being a murderer which is antithetical to everything you have spent decades building...that's rough buddy. is that controversial? idk i spend as little time as possible thinking about jason todd

I think it hurts bruce to look at damian sometimes because he just can't stop seeing talia. I think he loves damian deeply but it isn't always easy. that whole timing of final crisis was just so messy that they didn't get off to a super smooth start and had to do a lot of work rebuilding that relationship. I think damian has to reconcile his childhood hero worship of bruce with the actual very flawed man which isn't easy. it has been a LONG ass time since i've read damian's comics so that's about all I got.

IN CONCLUSION! This is very long and I absolutely did not answer your question sorry. but these are kind of my cliffnotes thoughts on each of the wayne kids' relationships with bruce.

“i want to remember this night” was your go-to excuse. it was sweet and believable, plus you could always pretend to drink a bit right? 

anyway now at two and a half years old, april is in ross’ lap, playing with his hands. more specifically, playing with the ring on his finger. she’s not an older sister yet, well she won’t be for another two months, so for now you have your little baby girl moving around inside you and your other tiny girl, sat babbling away.

“do you like my ring, bub?” he asks when she tries to take it off his fingers the second time. she nods, focused on her task. well, of course, she likes the ring. It’s shiny and that’s all there is to it.

that makes her giggle, tiny hands pressed to her mouth as she looks at ross and then at you. blame the pregnancy hormones but it makes you tear up. she is a carbon copy of him; the same dimples on both their faces as he grins down at her. and you can’t wait to see who this baby is going to take after. 

you take ross’ hand in yours, holding it tightly as you smile at april. “you know why i gave your dad the ring?”

BACKGROUND

julian, along with his twin sister, was born in palo alto, california. his father, dan koenig, was a software engineer for apple while his mother, nina roth, was a former hollywood a-lister who was known for being a scream queen in the 80s and 90s. she retired from the limelight when the twins were born and opted to start a health and wellness business (in a similar font as gwyneth paltrow's goop).

very smart kid. like, mensa-level smart. however his parents didn't want him to get in over his head so he still went to a regular, albeit private school. adversely, because he knew he was smarter than everybody else, this sort of gave him a superiority complex and made it difficult for him to get along with other kids.

his best friend growing up was his twin sister, whom he affectionately called ellie (though, to everybody else, she was nora). while they were inseparable, they were also almost complete opposites. ellie was a lot more likable and sociable and often brought julian with her to gatherings and events, much to julian's (and ellie's friends) disdain.

julian was pretty much a carbon copy of his father and was admittedly much closer to him than he was to his mother. nina wasn't as motherly as she made herself out to be in her interviews with entertainment tonight and people magazine and, in fact, missed the spotlight and the glamor that came with her previous life much more than she'd care to admit. dan, however, preferred to keep a quieter, simpler life. that, and his tendency to be married more to his work than to his wife led to their divorce when the twins were in their sophomore year of high school. julian chose to stay with his dad in palo alto, which meant that ellie did, too.

his then-boyfriend got him into adderall and coke in their junior year to stay awake and alert and busy busy busy. these habits worsened in college, especially when he didn't get into stanford (shocker!) which was the one school he applied for as he was so confident he would get in, but apart from his grades and a 1450 SAT score, nothing really made him stand out. with no other backups, his mother pulled some strings at her alma mater in her hometown in minnesota (where she was a regular donor) which was where he and his sister ended up going to.

majored in computer engineering in college where he met jamie novak. jamie was the first friend he made and was one of the very few people he liked hanging out with.

he dated harper chen in their freshman year and broke up mid-sophomore year due to julian's substance abuse and the fact that he just wasn't making enough time for her. however, they remained good friends after.

jamie and julian had a big fight when julian found out that jamie and eleanore hooked up while jamie was dating isa. julian knew how his sister felt about jamie and was afraid that jamie was only playing with eleanore's feelings and confronted him about it, threatening to tell isa if he didn't leave his sister alone. jamie, however, counter-threatened that if he did that, he would tell everyone about julian's own dirty little secret, which was that julian was sleeping with one of his (married) professors, who had introduced him to ketamine to manage his high levels of anxiety. both of them decided to call it a stalemate and wouldn't speak for a couple of months.

that is, until eleanore told julian that jamie and a bunch of other people were going down to stillwater to celebrate the end of the final exams and that he should try to talk to jamie and make up. hesitant at first, julian ended up making the trip and arrived on the last day for the sole purpose of talking to jamie and nothing else. julian found jamie at his cabin where they talked, but to this day julian wouldn't tell anyone, not even his sister, what they talked about. some heard yelling, some saw jamie storming out of the cabin with julian coming out minutes later heading the other direction. later that night, jamie would meet his tragic demise at the lake.

julian was a lot more withdrawn after that, reverting to his old high school ways of keeping to himself, and kept very few people in his circle, which included his sister and harper. he suffered a public nervous breakdown on campus on his last semester where he was a very strong candidate for summa cum laude and end up dropping out. his father brought him back to california where he entered rehab for the first time, returning twice more for the next couple of years.

his father insisted he stay close, so he got a place of his own in palo alto while working as a freelance software engineer, primarily in cyber security. he hasn't been in contact with anyone from college in the past eight years, except of course for harper, who sometimes comes to visit him. he was four months unemployed and two weeks on his third stay in rehab when he received news of harper's untimely passing. opting out of the program early, he traveled back to minnesota to honor harper's last wish and confront old, haunted memories.

obsessed with doing crossword puzzles and always keeps a small pocket-sized collection with him at all times.

loves watching movies, which was one of the very few things he got from his mother. he particularly enjoys the horror-slasher ones as well as the lynchian or cronenbergian variety but also appreciates sci-fi and drama.

he was hospitalized in his sophomore year of high school after staying awake for 72 hours straight and consuming mostly energy drinks while reviewing for the SATs, hoping to get early admission to stanford. he was discharged from the hospital the same day as his exam and took it anyway despite remembering almost nothing of what he'd studied, and ended up with a low score. he retook the SATs again the following year and got a 1450.

played chess competitively in high school and has even played in international invitational tournaments.

his dating history isn't very long nor complicated. his first relationship was with dustin wells on his junior year of high school, who gave him his first taste of drugs since his brother was a dealer. the relationship ended not with a bang, but with a fizzle right before they graduated, the reason simply being that dustin was going to attend college abroad and neither thought they were going to make it long-distance. only his sister knew about dustin. his next relationship was with harper chen in their freshman year of college, ending amicably early in their sophomore year. then, very briefly, there was kayla simon, a phd student and beauty queen whom julian met at a lab in LA where she was an intern and he was doing an ocular on their security system. they dated for five months before breaking up when kayla became a finalist for miss universe. and then, finally, noah kelley, a visual artist whom julian met at an art show. they've been together for four years and currently have put their relationship 'on pause' after julian rejected noah's proposal.

while julian is aloof, he is by no means shy—he can get very loud and opinionated when it comes to matters he cares passionately about like tech and current events, often in a condescending manner.

while most people see him as cold and uncaring, he can also be very sweet, mostly towards his inner inner circle and he's not typically into physical touch unless it's with people he's super comfortable with, like ellie and harper.

his appearance has changed almost drastically from when people last saw him in high school. those who knew him then might not recognize him so easily; they might remember him as a well-groomed and baby-faced kid but he's a lot more unkempt nowadays, with unruly curls and a thick stubble. he's also sporting cuts on his face after getting into a fight with another patient at rehab before leaving for stillwater.

what was once a bright-eyed and hopeful young man has now turned into a pessimistic, nihilistic shell of the kid he used to be. untrusting of those around him and paranoid to a fault, he might even resort to lying and distorting the truth—often to a point where he no longer knows what to believe in—as a means of survival and protecting those he cares about, most especially his sister.

jamie novak , first college friend. like many others, jamie introduced julian to his friend group, though often found himself still not quite fitting in, but they were people, at least, that julian still thought about from time to time and made college feel a little bit less like a distant lonely planet. in his sophomore year, julian found out about jamie hooking up with nora, his twin sister, and threatened to tell isa, jamie's girlfriend about it but jamie was holding on to a secret of julian's himself. both boys cut each other off from their lives until the night of jamie's death at stillwater lake.

harper chen , ex-girlfriend. harper and julian remained good friends even after the breakup, constantly keeping in touch years after college up until harper's death.

nora koenig , twin. other half. lifeline. the one person who has ever really known julian, the real julian.

isa morgan , math tutee. julian tutored isa twice a week for an hour and a half after classes as a favor to jamie, both realizing they had a lot more in common than originally thought and striking a weird, albeit brief friendship. lost touch after jamie's death and especially after college.

willa hoffman , harper's roommate. julian struck a vague form of acquaintanceship with willa for harper's sake. julian felt a sense of protectiveness over the girl, mostly because he thought she was an invertebrate who couldn't stand up for herself for being so spineless.

Evelio got his dreamy, smiling resting face from their mom, but he also has the same exact “scary expression” as Floyd. Like, its uncanny how similar it is … A little unexpected too, since he looks like a male version of their mom.

Marven got their dad’s grin, and pouting face. He also got his laugh funnily enough, hes like a little carbon copy of Floyd even though hes a Mama’s Boy 😭😭 (actually, thats pretty fitting too HAHAHA)

Alora also got their mom’s smiling resting face, but its much more energetic than her mama’s. She did get her dad’s “bored” expression, though. Whenever she gets annoyed she makes the same face as Floyd HAHAHA

Evelio was completely fine. He was always a super calm and neutral, even as a kid. So he didn’t really fuss. He did get a little love letter from a girl from their class on his very first day… Well, hes always been a charmer 😭

If you thought he was bad on his first week of NRC— his first day of school was a nightmare😭 He was crying, kicking, screaming because he did NOT want to be away from his mama so bad, was literally clinging onto Kyra’s leg and crying all the way to the school.. Safe to say he did NOT make a good first impression because he kept trying to fight the teachers 😭

Alora was suuper excited!! Well shes excited about anything new, she got her mama’s curiosity :3. She got up so early in the morning and basically body slammed Floyd awake because she wanted to go right then and there !! At that exact moment !! (It was 5 AM.) Other than that, it went pretty well! 1. What is your s/i's name & pronouns?

Shepherd goes by he/him, as well as any dog related neos you can think of!

2. How similar is your s/i to you? Are they a carbon copy, completely different or a mix of the two?

Shepherd is pretty different compared to me. He's definitely not a carbon copy, but he still has some aspects of me, such as parts of his backstory, his disabilities, etc.

3. Does your s/i have a backstory yet? Or is it still in the works? If it's done can we see it?

I don't have his full backstory written out yet, but I'll make a separate post about that when the time comes.

4. How did your s/i feel when they first met your f/o(s)? How do they feel about them now?

Shepherd first met Simon in college. He was very warm and friendly toward Simon, but he wasn't entirely sure how to feel about him, since Simon was so closed off.

Now, Simon and Shepherd both have a mutual understanding of each other on a deeper level than most. They bonded over their shared experience with depression and anxiety, as well as with being disabled in some way.

5. Do you speak about your s/i in first or third person?

It honestly depends. Sometimes I'll speak about my s/i's in the first person, but most of the time in the third person.

6. Has your s/i undergone any design/story changes since they were first made?

A few! Mostly design changes, but I changed his backstory to better fit in with the story.

7. Give us 3 random facts about your s/i

He has issues walking, so he uses mobility aids. Usually a cane, but if it's bad enough he will use other aids. He's also really sickly, so he's in bed all the time trying to recover from whatever sickness he has at the time. He has some tattoos, and quite a few piercings!

8. Does your s/i have any kind of powers?

Sadly, no.

9. Does your s/i have any hobbies that you don't have?

He likes to sew. He's tried to sew his own clothes, but it takes so much time and he has such a hard time finishing projects that he's decided to never do that again. Instead, he does smaller projects that are much easier to tackle, like repairing clothes or sewing patches on clothes.

10. How many s/i's do you have? Do you use the same s/i for multiple f/os or make completely different ones?

I have so many s/i's, most of which I haven't announced on Tumblr. I use the same s/i for multiple f/os, as long as they're under the same media source. For example, I would use Shepherd for any CoF f/os that I had.

11. Does your s/i have one outfit they're always seen in or multiple?

He has multiple that he's seen in. Usually they're just t-shirts and jeans, but occasionally he'll dress up.
