Gage for the ask me anything! If you don’t do DLC characters then Nick Valentine please and Butch from FO3❤️
Thank you for requests! Another Anon sent me an ask with 2/3 of the characters and with Old Long Fellow so I'll post that soon for them. In the meanwhile, please enjoy. CW for Butch: Child abuse. Triggering content below the cut.
Nick Valentine
Ever since he was a young boy he's had a knack for investigating.
First got into introduction to it was family game night, where they had one of those fake investigation game thingies. He got it pretty fast, much to his families dismay. They got some more, and he only got better.
Started to watch detective and crime shows and movies and he'd often pick up on the culprit quickly. Listened to true crime radio shows too.
When he was 16, his neighbour hired to him to investigate if her husband was cheating on him. He found out and got photo evidence. The husband was cheating and he got paid handsomely for finding out.
Frequently corresponds with DiMA, exchanging letters and parcels. He tries to visit at least once a year. DiMA still tries to convince him to stay.
One time while they were staying, DiMA found one of those investigation games. A whole bunch of Synthes and DiMA tried to figure it out, Nick sat there watching and helping whenever he could. He ending up bringing it back to the Commonwealth with him.
Pre-War Nick was pretty close with Jennifer's nephew, becoming an uncle figure. There bond only got got stronger after Jenny got murdered. Nick and Little Shaun now share this bond.
His internal fans speed up and get really loud when he's flustered of caught of guard. If it's really quiet and you get up nice and close you could almost hear a mechanical heartbeat.
Porter Gage
I haven't played or watched too much on Nuka-world, so forgive me if I have anything off.
Gouged out his own eye. He was dared to prove his courage, loyalty and balls.
His brother is Red-eye. They were both adopted into the same raider family. They also have sister and another younger brother who were birthed into the ranks. The Sister and brother died in one of the raids, but Red Eye and Gage made it to Nuka World.
Doesn't like the taste of Nuka-Cola, drinking it so much as made him miserable. He's so tired of using it to marinade meat. He's so tired of the same fizzy texture. He's so tired of the taste, the colour, everything.
Tends to help out with agriculture and farming considering his roots.
Is debating betraying the SoSu considering their status with the Minutemen, dissatisfied at the recent information. He's also planning a full scale invasion of the Commonwealth.
He also wanted Nuka World too himself as well, so he has Red-Eye spy on SoSu.
Butch DeLoria
Content Warnings for Child Abuse the cut.
His dad ran off to Vegas. Growing up his mother would warn him about gambling, Chems and alcohol. Also bares a striking resemblance to his father, his mother resents him for it.
When he was a young child, he'd often ""run away"" from their room and ask to sleep for the night. He'd end up frequently having sleep overs with other kids and spend more time at theirs than his'.
Was really hoping to get a mechanic on the G.O.A.T and absolutely hated being a barber at first. However, he really like doing his hair and got really good it, so he excelled in his training much to his dismay.
Opened his own barber shop in Rivet City and people from all over, and I mean all over come to see him and to get a haircut. His skills are insane.
Listens to a lot of Elvis and can do a few of his dance moves.
Big comic book nerd despite bullying a lot of kids in the vault about comics. He's a grognak kinda guy I reckon.
Helps MacCready out too and knew him as a kid. He often visits little Duncan and brings him lollies, sweets, sodas and comics. He'll read Duncan the letters MacCready sends him in silly voices to get him to laugh.
Big ol' softie, wants a wife and to settle down in a family but his past experiences and absent father makes him second guess himself. He has a dog though.
He got counselling from James to deal with his trauma. Also apologised to the LW and Amata too.
Happy to leave the vault and never come back!
Continued below cut
He'd run to the guards and overseer and tell them about everything, most of the guards wanted to help him and would let him stay around them. They did everything in their power to get him help.
but when the overseer confronted his mother about she denied everything and said that he was lying.
He was not. Could you hear it.

I hate to do this to you but can we get some Ahzrukhal (fo3) Head cannons, he’s my least favorite ghoul and yet Im currently reading to the end of his Ao3 tag, which is my personal hell but I have mixed feelings about it
I mean, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I didn't at least think about what it would be like the first time I walked into the Ninth Circle and sized him up. I'm also not gonna pretend like I haven't been in that AO3 tag. Some of this is fairly dark, but I feel like that just falls under "typical of canon".
Ahzrukhal (Fallout 3) Headcanons
SFW
Genuinely one of the slimiest, most underhanded people you'll ever meet. Not only will he fuck you over the second he needs to in order to benefit himself, he actively searches for opportunities to fuck over others. He's absurdly embittered by multiple lifetimes worth of mild slights and disappointments, a true whiny and entitled piece of shit. If he existed in the year 2024, he'd be a basement-dwelling incel.
He's definitely pre-war. There's no way this sniveling miser hasn't been around screwing people and being a rat with a loogie problem for quite a while now.
Charon was absolutely correct in killing him before the two of you leave. If he'd been allowed to live, he'd have sent someone after you to steal the contract, or kill you and bring Charon back to him. I suspect he's done this before, and that's why 1. he's so eager to offer to sell the contract to you, and 2. Charon is so quick to kill him when he has the chance. At least, I think that's part of the latter.
He's a bit fatter than the average ghoul, and I wonder if some ghouls have the ability to better retain body fat long term while others are prone to wasting away into skin and bones, as per the design of the ferals.
NSFW
The "Uncle Ahzrukhal" thing is exactly what you think it would be. The man is big into ageplay and incest roleplay, usually combined. If you won't do the ageplay stuff, whatever, but he'll do whatever he needs to do to get you to do the incest stuff for him. He'll beg, he'll grovel, he'll pay you extra.
Speaking of which, he would definitley enjoy a sort of "antagonistic sugar daddy" dynamic if you were amenable to it (or desperate enough to need it). Knowing that you don't necessarily want to spend time with him makes him all the more eager to get you to do so, even if you act like you hate it the whole time.
Actually quite big into degredation, moreso receiving than giving, just with the huge caveat that there are (rather quite a few) things you just aren't allowed to say to him. Really, he mostly likes to be told how perverted he is, how gross his proclivities are, what a disgusting old man he is...but he wants you to tell him that pretty much exclusively while he's actively fucking you or eating you out. It's the idea that you really do find him that disgusting, and yet, for whatever reason (almost always because he has something over you or is paying you) you're giving him access to your body.
If he has you over a barrel enough, he won't hesitate to use you to settle his debts, or even full-on pimp you out if you piss him off enough. He doesn't like to share, but he wants to teach you a lesson more than he doesn't want to share his toys. The guys he gives you to might even make him seem a little better by comparison. Make you show a little more gratitude. Why would he have a problem with that?

I don’t know if this was asked before, but maybe reactions of the companions seeing a real life alien spacecraft and said alien? It always bothered me that they never said anything when you discover the ship
Thank you and also I enjoy reading your blog!
Fo3 Companions Reactions To Seeing An Alien/Alien Spacecraft
➼ Word Count » 0.9k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ Genre » Platonic/Romantic ➼ A/N » I'm assuming this was meant for the fo3 companions cuz I remember feeling so cheated when they just watched Lone get kidnapped and never mentioned anything about it
Charon takes his gun out the second he spots the UFO on the other side of the hill and gets noticeably more tense the closer you both get. He'll hold his arm out, silently telling you to stay back as he inspects it closer. He won't have much to say about it, only giving you a few grunts in response if you ask him any questions. Charon hates everything about it. It's too much of a mystery for it to be safe, and tries to shoo you back the way you came from. He panics when the strange blue light covers your form and takes you upward into the spacecraft. He tries to shoot the aliens the moment he spots one wandering around. He doesn't trust them at all and will gladly massacre the whole ship if it means the two of you will end up surviving.
Clover doesn't believe in aliens or understand the hype surrounding them, so when she sees the spacecraft for the first time, she's not all that impressed. If anything, she's bored and will want to go home. Especially when she sees one of the aliens for the first time. She thinks they look disgusting and would want to wipe them out as soon as possible.
Star Paladin Cross finds the UFO to be a technological marvel and would want to take in as much information as she can to take back to the Brotherhood. She'll be slightly distracted with the crashed ship to immediately notice you being taken, but once she looks over and realizes what's happening, she'll take out her gun and start shooting (although she'd prefer it be within range for her to just bash it with her sledgehammer). She'll see the aliens as abominations and will want to slaughter them all the moment she's given the opportunity. The aliens, however, find her robotic body to be fascinating and will try to keep her for further studies.
Jericho thinks it's stupid and will opt to just kick at the crashed spaceship. Who finds these things interesting, anyway? He freaks out a bit when you begin to be abducted as he feels as if it was his fault you got taken. Unlike the others, he won't try and attack the aliens immediately. Instead, he pretends they aren't there and tries to find a button or something to get you guys off and back into the Capital Wasteland. He still thinks the whole thing is stupid, and the entire interaction would make him hate aliens all the more.
Butch is arguably the most excited out of everyone on this list. Ever since he left the vault he's been hoping you both would run into something like this. He'll ramble on and on about all the comics he used to read back in 101, and hey, did you ever read those? 'Cause they were the most exciting thing that ever happened to the vault. He's talking so much that he hardly notices you being sucked up into the sky, but he quickly grabs onto you when he notices you leaving the ground. He fanboys so hard over the aliens, opting to ignore every bad thing about them and instead focusing on how accurate the comics had gotten them. He'd be heartbroken if you had to kill them but definitely prefers to be on the ground than in space. He'll never stop telling others about the incident. He's so amazed at the world outside the vault, and it only serves to inflate his adventurous side more.
Fawkes finds the crash site intriguing as it's full of technology he'd only ever seen in science fiction novels. He makes a point to stick close to you as he's almost certain this entire place is bound to be dangerous, and he's proven right when you're both abducted. He's very polite to the aliens throughout it all, however, being locked in the glass enclosure reminds him all too much of his time in Vault 87. He doesn't like it on the ship all too much and gathers as many resources and weapons as he can to break you and all the others out of the ship. If he could avoid it, he'd prefer not to kill any of the aliens as he believes they were only curious and hadn't meant any real harm, but if he had no other choice, he wouldn't lose any sleep mowing them down with his minigun.
When RL-3 hears the word 'alien' he thinks of immigrants, so when you come across the alien spacecraft and get kidnapped, he considers it an act of terrorism, or at the very least, a hostage situation. He'll command the creatures to unhand the both of you immediately and if they don't comply, he'll have the full US military on them for false imprisonment. They don't listen, of course, not understanding a word either of you say, and carry on with their research. He'll hold a very negative impression of aliens and anything extraterrestrial afterward.
Dogmeat will cluelessly sniff around the broken-down ship, not fully understanding what it is exactly. He'll then watch you get taken up into the sky with perked-up ears and a slight tilt of his head. The aliens aren't that interested in dogs so they leave him right there and that's where he'll wait until you manage to come back.

Gunna yap about Gabriel seeing as his character sheet is done
(I haven't finished FO3, pretty much just got James back to Project Purity, so this is likely to change as stuff progresses and I learn more about what's going on)
If anyone wants to know anything about him lemme know 👉👈
General content warning for discussions of shitty mental health and trauma
(Loosey Goosey type summary at the end if you don't wanna read all that)
He's a MAJOR daddy's boy- he didn't get along with a lot of the other kids in the Vault so spent a lot of his time growing up hanging out with his dad, watching him work, learning things about medicine and helping organise all the tools.
When James left the Vault Gabe was DEVISTATED. He couldn't help but feel abandoned- Why would his dad leave? Was he not a good son? Did he do something wrong?
Then all the immediate fallout made him kinda resent his dad for a spell- (general how could he leave and be okay letting me deal with all that? Not that James knew the overseer was gunna utterly flip his shit ofc)
Once out of the Vault he learned pretty quickly that he cannot aim for shit, he just can't get the hang of guns and instead had to rely on a baseball bat and his fists. Begin a sheltered kid then suddenly up close a personal with all this violence took a major toll on his already shaky mental health.
When he reached Megaton he felt immediately out of place- he was unfamiliar with the social customs, he was naive and clueless about basically everything. He defaulted to Overly Polite in order to compensate but this came off (at least at first) to a lot of the settlers as him having a holier than thou attitude and as a result he wasn't well liked for a while.
He also struggles with the transactional nature of the wasteland (I help you, you help me), and got really frustrated that nobody would help him unless he but himself in danger. They KNEW he was inexperienced, frightened and confused and still demanded he go out into the wastes anyway.
He still goes out of his way to help people- giving up his own meager supplies for those in need, putting himself in danger time and time again, choosing to be kind where he can. He wants to be liked, he wants to be accepted and he wants to make the wasteland a kinder place than he found it. He puts the emotional and physical needs of others before his own (he's got a bit of a Martyr complex)
This feelings of abandonment with his dad, his feelings about being put in danger and not helped kinda manifested into a lot of anger and resentment. Hes MAD, at the world, hes made at his dad and hes mad at himself for being a terrible son and a terrible person. He takes that out on enemies in combat, and gets pretty damn good a punching thing but hates how relived the violence makes him despite his general dislike of such things.
He doesn't enjoy it though- all the blood and the fighting makes him feel like a monster. That he's commiting unspeakable sins and even if he finds his father Hes going to be so disgusted by the things he's done that he'll abandon Gabe AGAIN. It's something that haunts Gabe for a while, and he never quite gets over it, but he keeps looking for his dad, becuase James is all he has, despite his own fears of rejection and distain.
When he gets to Tranquility Lane and Braun's asking him to do all those shitty things to people in order to get his dad back- Gabe does it. No questions. He's come all this way, done all these horrible things- he swallows his revulsion, accepts this is how it is, and does whatever it takes to get his dad back. His actions at tranquility Lane deffo haunt him- he was selfish, he hurt people becuase he wanted his dad back so badly.
When he is FINALLY reunited with James he's kinda shocked that his dad doesn't hate him- He thought his dad would just be able to TELL that he's done bad things, that he's been selfish and cruel to get here but his dad seem oblivious to it. He kinda keeps himself away at first, afraid James is going to find out what hes done and hate him for it. There's still a lot of resentment about being left alone, even after Gabriel learns of project purity and that makes him feel so much worse. (Overall though Gabe is just so HAPPY to have is dad back and is finally able to relax a bit and start to process all the shit he's been through)
His dad left to go save lives, believing that Gabriel would be safe and relatively happy in the Vault, and Gabe hates himself for being so wishing his father had just stayed and left the people of the wasteland to suffer.
In summary- Gabriel's a Daddy's boy with a deeply unstable sense of self that hinges on his, often wildly incorrect, assumptions about how people perceive him. His perception of his own morality is massively incongruous with his actions. He's got abandonment issues, a martyr complex and is deeply angry at the wasteland, his dad and himself.
#sheesh i be yapping#anyway i always start my ocs off mentally in the PITS so they can get worse then grow and become fundamentally better and more stable#im all about growth and recovery baby#also if theres any typos no there isnt this is a stream of consciousness type post and my brain is wonderful and perfect#fo3#lone wanderer#oc: Gabriel#character yapping#James is a good dad just Gabriel had a very squewed perception of things and is actively experiencing the worst horrors he's ever seen#and his whole life and understanding of the world has been SHATTERED#anyway I love him i cant wait to see how he grows and matures

The Persona 5 Post-Mortem, Part One: What I Didn't Like 8C
I have reread my entire P5 liveblog to refresh my memory of everything that happened in the game, and I've been trying to think about how I feel about P5R and, frankly, whether I like the game. Which is a very basic question, I think, but one I am deeply struggling with, so obviously it's not actually that simple, huh.
The answer I am tentatively settling on is: I think the third semester saves P5R from being an Actually Bad game.
I think that Persona 5 Vanilla is actually… a 5 out of 10 at best, and in my heart it's lower than that. But Royal does so much intense heavy lifting, it alone, separate from the rest of the game and the original campaign, is an 8 out of 10.
That is an enormous discrepancy that I've really never dealt with in a video game before. I think the last game I played that I truly disliked to my bones was Fallout 4. FO4 remains the only game I've ever played were I genuinely and truly wanted a refund of not just my money but my time, the hours I spent in that meaningless, vapid fucking world. Even FO3 gave me some joy of exploration, for fuck's sake.
P5R is not as bad as FO4, but the main campaign is to me an enormous disappointment that…. if I had not been in the throes of a depressive slump and thus needing something to hyperfocus on, I don't know if I would have finished the game. My frequent references to Yusuke saving me from turning off the game were not exaggeration in the least.
So, I think there are two major problems with this game. And I understand that when I did my post-mortem on P4G, I started with my likes and then went to dislikes, but I think for P5R it's correct to reverse that, because my negative feelings far outweigh the positive.
I guess point one is obvious: I think the cast of this game is bad.
I refuse to sugar-coat it. The cast of P5 is just bad, with a few mild exceptions. Even the characters that I like, I enjoy them comparatively to the ones I hate. And I have never hated someone in a Persona game before, not even Joker Mode Yosuke.
The entire cast of this game is much, much flatter than you would expect from a game that is trying so desperately to be stylish and loud and garish. P5R is maximalist to its fucking core. The fusions are executions, item creation is an electric chair, the menus are nightmares of high contrast and bouncing shapes, everything is LOUD LOUD LOUD 24/7 in this game to the point that I, a person I think is fairly skilled at video games and played P4G on Normal and breezed through it, had to lower the difficulty of the game to fucking have fun, because I felt so inundated with stimulus, I was struggling to play the fucking game.
That maximalist spirit just vanishes in the characters, and it's so fucking jarring. All style, no substance.
When I was trying to figure out my thoughts on the characters, the thing I kept coming back to was that P5 has too many main characters in the party. And weirdly, I think I'm right! P3 has seven party members (excluding beloved Koromaru, eight if you count Shinjiro who is in the party for a month). P4 only has seven.
Persona 5 Royal has nine, and I think part of the problem is that to fit all of these characters into the party and the story and to keep the MSQ scene moving at a decent pace, everyone suffers for it and gets flattened. Even the vibrancy of Yusuke vanishes from the game in the final third, where all his interesting tics and quirks are phased out until he's just a guy here to say his lines to move things along. Almost everyone suffers from this, where they are focal points during their introduction arc, and then they just lose all their shine as the story moves on.
This didn't happen in P3 and P4. That's not rose-tinted glasses talking; I JUST played both of those games starting in December. P3 is my true love but P4 is a tremendous example of how the characters continued to be themselves in every scene, even after their introductory chapters ended.
So the poison at the heart of P5R is that the characters are both not as three-dimensional to start with (and there are only a few I would even consider three-dimensional), and from the moment their respective Palaces end, they're on a half life.
This literally might be why I like Haru best, because she's introduced so late in the game that she didn't lose her voice yet by the endgame.
This is all of course at odds with the fact that only a few characters are really good. Futaba probably deserves the most accolades for being clear and present in every scene and always maintaining her uniqueness. Morgana as well, seeing as his arc lasts the entire game and is one of the central mysteries. And Akechi, without whom I think the entire game might have actually failed? Without the complexity and unnerving energy from Akechi, this cast could not sustain the runtime of the game.
AND ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT, it does not help that I actively disliked two of my party members. Makoto has by far the worse introduction of any character in any game I have played and the way the game just did not understand or contend with what she did, the stalking and blackmail and endangering everyone, soured her so completely for me that she never once got party time. I never used her.
But even she was a relief next to fucking Ryuji. Ryuji, the token best friend character who turned into The Teammate Everyone Hates for me. He was a mean, emotionally dense, disrespectful and dehumanizing asshole for the entire fucking game. And I am used to the Best Friend Guy who messes up and grows over the course of the game (see: Junpei and Yosuke) but with Ryuji there is no growth, there is barely acknowledgement of how cruel he is. And the fact he never actually apologized to Morgana for his bullshit in the middle of the game lost me completely on him. Ryuji made me as the player on the other side of the screen uncomfortable. That's…. wild, tbh.
So we have a cast where I can barely stand two characters, I'm ambivalent on three, one I regularly forgot she existed, and three I liked a lot.
That's a fucking mess, y'all. For a Persona game, which is a premium Hangout Game, where so much of the point is the characters? That's a huge problem.
The other games in this franchise like Shin Megami Tensei tend to have characters that are flatter and more allegorical in nature, but that's okay because the focus is on the themes and the writing of the world.
Which leads directly to the other problem with Persona 5.
The writing. On several metrics, the writing is Bad.
On the first point, the fact that this game has an 80 hour runtime if you are lucky, and that's just the vanilla MSQ. It feels like an 80 hour runtime. I felt every goddamn minute of how long this game is.
Structure is the problem here, in my opinion, and it goes hand in hand with the character issue. Just as this game has too many characters, it has too many set-pieces and arcs. To justify Makoto's presence in the game, there is a long, superfluous arc with Kaneshiro that should have just been cut entirely. Kaneshiro is about 10 hours that could just be snipped out of the game with nothing lost thematically or narratively.
And even more that P4 and DEFINITELY more than P3, the game will essentially…. repeat scenes.
As someone who did this entire liveblog with screencaps, I cannot tell you how many times I thought I missed capping a specific line or moment only to find out that it was in a nearly-identical scene a little bit earlier. Sometimes there were three different scenes that conveyed no new information, just restated what the characters knew, and that's just ridiculous. That's truly just too much.
On top of that, this game just gives the player way too much time. I didn't fill out every SLink in this game, but that's because I actively chose not to out of disinterest in a few of them. If I wanted to, I think I could have done every one without a guide. I spun my wheels for OVER TWENTY IN-GAME DAYS MULTIPLE TIMES. The pacing is a nightmare.
Another point I mentioned a lot was the technical quality of the writing.
This game is so over-produced, so maximalist, has so many small details, but the actual script as written for the game feels like it was done under crunch. Like, extreme crunch. Original FF7-style crunch.
It's hard to explain what this means, but in P4G, the script was lovingly crafted word by word and everything was incredibly naturalistic and conversational. There was never a moment when I had to refer to the log and reread anything, no point where a conversation lost me.
In P5R, this happened regularly. Awkward phrasings, responses that didn't make sense, repetitive sentence structure, and weird conversational pivots that did actually force me to go back and reread to understand what was being said.
Localizing a game of this scope and budget is a herculean task, and I know the game's English release was delayed. It just was not enough time. I would guess that this game needed at least another month or two to cook, but more than anything, the localization process should have been started a year before it was. The localization needed to be happening concurrently with the final year of development for a text this fucking dense.
It is so weird to see the extreme polish of the presentation of this game and then to just read the text aloud and go "wait, what" numerous times in a single playthrough.
(also this barely feels like its worth mentioning with the other issues but the lack of translation of the textures was unacceptably bad. I had to get a JPN-speaking friend to translate some things for me, and I really genuinely feel like missing out on some of this shit diminished the context of the game. Maruki's place is the most egregious offender but its everywhere.)
And finally, the last writing complaint is that until the Third Semester, this game has nothing to say. The Persona 5 Vanilla version of this game is……. meaningless but masquerading as thoughtful and rebellious.
Which is frankly hugely disappointing because this game does start strong with Joker and the repeated motif of imprisonment and betrayal. In just the first hour, Joker is beat up in an interrogation room, he's falsely accused of assault, his probation officer tells him he deserved it for stepping out of line, and every figure of authority from the principal to the teachers to his fellow students treat him like a murderer. It was a potent start to a game.
And in the end, Yaldaboath is just repeating the same fucking shit that Izanami did in P4G. People? More like SHEEPLE, amiright? People care more about being entertained than the TRUTH, and they want to be shadows/imprisoned.
Blah blah fucking blah. Persona needs to come up with something new to say because this was NOT it, chief, and was just disappointing given the strong start with Joker. I think this game's Big Theme can confidently be boiled down to "phones are like prisons," and its infuriating.
So much superfluous text and so little to say.
Until the Third Semester, anyway.
Next post will be about the things I liked, I promise.

This is the last I'm going to say about the Fallout show:
I think, generally speaking, the show is... fine. It's an ok tv show. The story is very unoriginal for the franchise but it's ok written. The dialogue is fine, the set design is cool and very accurate for Fo4, and the humor and general vibe is very much in line with the games.
If you've never played them, played only Fo3, Fo4 and Fo76, or played more of them but don't particularly care about the lore, you'll probably enjoy the show. I already assumed that it was going to be mainly based on Fo4 and follow Bethesda's worldbuilding and outlook on the Wasteland, so I'm not surprised it looks like the story happened 50 years after the bombs fell instead of >200 and everyone is still living like dirty gremlins in trash heaps. Bethesda doesn't like the post-post-apocalypse vibes so we were never going to get any of that. I am - obviously - annoyed that they decided to go the route of razing the West Coast to the ground so they can plant the BoS there, but I am not surprised. Like I said before, I think they wanted to get rid of most rebuilt society in the Wasteland so they can keep it post-apocalyptic and make more games in the area without dealing with much Fo2 and FNV lore. I am annoyed and feeling a little insulted they chose to off the NCR off screen in a timeline that makes no sense, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Overall I think if you don't mind the show being basically a sequel to Fo4 and don't really care about other worldbuilding it's an ok series to watch. I don't care much for it but I get why people would like it. I just wish they didn't hate the post-post-apocalyptic genre so much. To me, rebuilding society and trying to strive for something better was a big part of what made Fallout interesting, and I don't see much sense in the world forever being stuck in a permanent state of desolation.
Anyway that's my 2 cents, I guess. The show is ok, but I didn't enjoy it.

how about 6, 23 and 30? :0 not sure if any of these need to be game specific, but if so then NV please ^v^
Sounds good! Thanks for the ask! 😁
And it's only a little specific lol, but I ended up kinda answering for all of them 😅
6. If you could have one creature as a companion, what would it be?
Ohhhhh, this is so difficult 😩 the obvious answer is deathclaw, I think, and that would be a spectacular companion, don't get me wrong, but... I also really like the pseudo-dog types. I'd love to have a mutant hound, or in NV's case, a night stalker would be very cool... but also brahmin and bighorners would be interesting too 🤔 ahh, I'm too indecisive for this, they're all too good!
Really, they just need to expand to more than humanoids and Dogmeat/Rex... and robots... Ok, so they have a decent variety, but I want more aminals, dangit.
23. Which SPECIAL stat do you tend to make the highest?
It's generally either charisma (usually in FO4's case) or intelligence, but I'd like to do a lucky character sometime in the future, since that seems very fun to explore.
30. 3 things you’d like to see in the next fallout game?
This is a great question, and already partially answered above! But I'm gonna go over it again.
First, I'd like to see a bigger commitment to character development with the companions/npcs. As much as we all complain about the writing in FO4 (and for good reason), Bethany Esda really has shown growth in the way the companions have become more individualized characters with interesting backstories from FO3-FO4. But obviously there was still a lack of development and closure for a lot of these characters, a lot of tragic backstories they have in common *cough cough dead wife *cough and an overall lack of depth and care for the female characters (Clover, Cait, Curie, Cass, Cross why do all of their names start with C? and somewhat for Piper and Veronica as well.) And I do tend to play Fallout not for the combat/gameplay as much, but more for the story and character connections and the interesting environment; so I'd call for more companion quests and unique characters that really ground you in the world and help you to form emotional connections with them, and, in turn, become more invested in the game, story, and world as a whole.
Second, this is really just a critique for FO4, but please bring back the proper elements of roleplaying! Don't give our characters a whole ass backstory that's difficult to stray from or build off of if you want to stay true to cannon with your OCs. Also, for the love of god, bring back the dialogue options that aren't just one word gists of the whole actual line. I can't tell y'all the amount of times I went back in a save for saying something wrong 😩 Like.... I wanted to be sarcastic in a funny way, not be an asshole to Nick, geeze.
And last is that one I said earlier, where it'd be interesting to have different creature companions, but also, just more variety in general with the companions. Give us more female characters, more companions from different factions (Legion, Great Khans, Fiends, The Kings, Enclave, etc.), and more characters that are canonically trans, or have a specific sexuality/romantic preference instead of blanketing everyone as bi to be available to any kind of OC (which is awesome for some, but also, I'd like to see further commitment to diversity), which also means I'd like to see different races and ethnicities depicted as well.
ANYWAY, that was pretty long-winded, and just sort of word-vomited out, but hopefully it all makes sense.
There's definitely quite a few things I would want to see changed for future games, but also, I don't want to completely drag the ones I've played, since, clearly, they've had an enormous impact on my life. But I'm a true believer that most of us who enjoy these games, yet still want to see them change, want that because of how much we care about these games and we only want to see them improve more and more.

VI, VIII, XVIII, XXV, & XXVIII for Nora & Al?
VI. The Witch-and-Sister Why might a stranger seek them out, and what is asked of them? Do they give it?
✪ Nora being the general of the Minutemen means a lot of people are usually asking a lot of her often. Usually to clear out hostiles or provide support with supplies or to mediate some issue with governance that they can't sort between themselves. She's fine with doing this, it's her job after all and she enjoys helping people, she just has to balance when she can get out to each of them among all the other requests.
✝ Alberta usually goes wandering and finds places and people to help out themself, so if someone's come looking for Al they're either from the Brotherhood or Abolitionists/Railroad. They haven't had a ton of close contact with working with the Brotherhood since the events of Fo3 and becoming a Sentinel, prefering doing their own thing and avoiding the mess that happened when Lyons died, but they usually leave her alone so Al would see what they wanted if called. They never turn down the Abolitionists/Railroad.
VIII. The Lionsmith What is the cruelest thing they’ve done that they do not regret?
I... actually can't think of anything for either of them right now. I'm sure they have/will do some pretty horrible things and probably be able to justify them, but I can't call any to mind rn and it might be spoilers if I did anyway. Sorry for the non-answer.
XVIII. The Sister-and-Witch Who is the closest person to them? How far would they go to protect them?
✪ Nora: Her companions. It's hard to chose any one of them. Since losing Nate and Shaun they've become a new family to her and she'd go to pretty extreme lengths to not lose that again.
✝ Alberta: Similarly, some of their travelling companions, like Butch, Charon, Fawkes, and Cross.
They'd both go to pretty far extremes to protect their closest people, as they both have issues with previous family and loss, and often put the wellbeing of those people above their own.
XXV. The Crowned Growth What do they find the most repulsive in the world around them? What are they disgusted with about themselves?
✪ Nora: The ease at which people like raiders and gunners take advantage of and ruin other peoples lives for their own gain. Likewise, how easy she finds it to kill people in the moment. She doesn't even know how many lives she's ended but the count is high and weighs on her. Won't stop her from doing the right thing though.
On yet another similar note; how bad she could realistically have become herself if given the wrong introduction to the wasteland and certain groups, like if the Institute had taken her along with her son she'd likely have worked with them for his sake.
✝ Alberta: Like Nora, they hate people who shit on and take advantage of others, but especially those who live in cozy settlements or the like and still aren't satisfied with what they have. Greed on top of cruelty.
Al isn't often too introspective, because if they think about themselves too much they really hate themselves, but an easy one is how their impulsivity and fear of commitment can hurt people they care about.
XXVIII. The Mare-in-the-Tree Describe them at their most dangerous.
✪ Nora: Nukes. Weird chemicals that don't just border into but leap right into the depths of supernatural fuckery. Access to high tech devices. The ability to play nice, infiltrate, and turn your own machinations against you. Nora isn't winning any fist fights but she can out think and out act most opponents. She's also very good at making friends of all kinds, so don't expect her to be alone. Getting Nora in this state usually means you've been identified as a direct threat to her friends and family.
✝ Alberta might not have as much direct access to artillery but is fully willing to go out blowing you the fuck up anyway. Will fight dirty. Like a feral animal. Good luck using technology to stop her, she'll be in and out of the system and hardware in no time. If you've really pissed them off they won't stop until you're less than dirt beneath their boot. No rest, no mercy.

PRIDE MONTH AND ONLY TWO PEOPLE FOLLOW THIS BLOG TIME TO POST ABOUT MY OCs INTO THE VOID
I have a plethora of LGBTQ+ OCs. In fact all of my OCs are queer in some way. I wanna post about it.
FALLOUT OCs -
Happy (FO4) (She/Her) - Bisexual. It helps with being a smooth-talking charismatic tank.
Binni Odapo (FONV) (They/Him) - Bisexual as fuck, Trans (FtM). Lady Killer and Confirmed Bachelor were some of the first perks they got. Don't ask me the logistics of being trans in the Mojave. They just are.
Cherry Cola (FO3) (He/Him) - Gay. This guy loves men almost as much as he loves being a hater. I wish Confirmed Bachelor was an option in the game.
Honorable Mentions for Non-Player Character OCs -
Morg (She/Her) - Aromantic, Pansexual. Rhyled (He/Him) - Panromantic, Demisexual. Morley (He/Him) - Pansexual, Trans (FtM).
SKYRIM OCs -
Jasper Dwale (Main Playthrough) (Any/All) - Pansexual, Agender. I suppose Apagender would be more accurate, as she doesn't care how people see her nor what gender label would be accurate. Too busy stealing and adventuring to worry about such things.
Socks Ashwood (Altruistic Playthrough) (He/Him) - Demiromantic, Asexual. Being demiromantic works out, as he's generally too busy slaying evil and being a devout champion of Meridia to concentrate on romance. But when you travel with someone for a while they do start looking pretty kissable.
Li Ashwood (Vampire Playthrough) (They/Them) - Bisexual, Nonbinary. They may be trying their best to be evil, but that doesn't mean they didn't make time for considering what labels are accurate to their experience.
Dak Je (He/Him) - Homosexual. Though intelligence attracts him most of all. Vilkas stole his heart pretty quickly.
Thorn (She/Her) - Pansexual, Trans (MtF). She liked women so much she became one. I like to imagine magic makes physically presenting however you want pretty easy in Skyrim.
Honorable Mentions for Modded Player OCs -
Adonis Swift-Foot (He/They/She) - Adonian is the most accurate term for him. Adonis finds that he enjoys all aspects of every gender, but prefers men romantically. Lasagna the Friend (She/They) - Lesbian. Kissing women, making friends, and going on adventures (in whatever order) is her forte.
BG3 OCs -
Ogz V (He/They) - Pansexual, Trans (FtM). Kissing people, breaking things, the Ogz business.
(more to come)
Anyways Happy Pride!!!

THANK YOU
Games are meant to be enjoyed
A "real fan" isn't someone who digs at every little piece of info canon and non just to point stuff out and insists everyone shares the same opinion as them. A real fan is someone who genuinely finds joy in the content and wants to know more out of love, and will be happy to help anyone else wanting to get more into it.
Not saying fans can't or shouldn't be critical of other entries. But when they start giving people crap for enjoying the unproblematic thing they find issue with, that's not a real fan, that's someone actively wanting to nitpick and put people down.
I've only ever been able to play Fo4 and Fo3 due to money issues all my life and those being given as gifts, and they hold a place in my heart. MacCready is a character I've grown attached to, he's even my icon pic. They hold a special place for me, and Fo4 is my comfort game.
I don't really care if someone dislikes or even hates these games or this specific character. I do have an issue though when someone insults me as a human being for my own preferences differentiating from their own, like we humans are supposed to have. Over a video game.
It takes more effort and time to shit on other peoples opinions than it is to be just happy with your own. Not to mention that being too angry, especially for too long, can do actual harm to you. So if not out of respect that your fellow humans likes a game you don't like, then for yourself. if you love your game so much, spend time playing that instead of shortening your lifespan so that you can't play it anymore.
I gotta say this. While Fallout 4 does have the weakest writing out of all the Fallout games, you can still acknowledge it has great characters like Valentine/Hancock/MacCready/etc and the game is fun to play in general. If you think anyone who enjoys the game/its characters is a "fake fan" or "newgen" I'm gonna take my boot off and beat you with it
Sometimes people just wanna dick around in a game and not have every moment they scratch their ass affect the storyline and that's FINE!!! Chill out. Not every Fallout fans has to be praising 2 or New Vegas constantly just to enjoy other games

Could you do a Fo4 version of the "sitting in their lap" post? The Fo3 one was soooo cute!!
*for those that didn’t see the fallout 3 version of this, here’s the full title/prompt
Fallout 4 - Crushing!Companions + select NPC react to f!Sole sitting in their lap
MacCready:
“Oh, hey you.” A goofy grin spread over his face as he looks up at Sole completely enamored.
Hancock:
“Yeah, this is your seat, Sunshine.” He chuckles as he puts his hands on Sole’s hips and brings her closer to him.
Cait:
“Well alright, lassie. I don’ know what’s gotten into ‘ye, but m’not complainin’.” She grins as she hugs Sole’s waist from behind tightly.
Piper:
“Oh, well okay, Blue. Make yourself comfortable I guess.” She’s taken aback at first, but quickly warms up to it and keeps one hand placed on Sole’s thigh.
Nick:
“My legs won’t tire, so you can stay here all day if you wanted, doll.” He’s quick-witted to in turn make Sole flustered as she had originally intended for him.
Preston:
“Comfy, General?” He smiles up to Sole and hesitantly hugs her from behind.
Danse:
“I-Is this really appropriate, Solider?” He makes no attempt to move Sole even if it’s deemed an inappropriate action, instead turning into a blushing mess and looking up at her with a doe-eyed expression.
Maxson:
“You can’t- uh, you just- um, what are you doing here?” He has no issue with Sole’s actions whatsoever, so long as she’s not toying with him. He’ll want to make sure that she has feelings for him as well so long as she’s perched on her Elder’s lap.
Curie:
“This is a form of affection, no? I will sit in your lap next.” She proclaims the action quickly, much to Sole’s amazement. She would allow Sole to stay there for as long as she wanted, just as long as Curie could do the same later on.
Deacon:
“I knew you always wanted a piece of me.” He winks at Sole and places one hand on her hip, bouncing his knees to urge her closer into his chest.
Desdemona:
“Okay, you can stay there for a little bit but I will have to get back to work eventually.” She gives an excuse, pretending she’s not enjoying it as much as she really does.
Glory:
“Oh hey.” She grins up at Sole and relaxes more into her own seat, pulling Sole back with her.
Tinker Tom:
“Why- uh, well, it’s nice to see you too.” He blushes deeply, but smiles up at Sole and allows her to stay perched on his lap for as long as she pleases.
Magnolia:
“Hey doll, aren’t you just looking lovely today.” She wraps her arms around Sole’s waist from behind and nuzzles her face into her.
Sturges:
“Comfortable ‘nough for ya?” He chuckles as places one hand on Sole’s thigh, the other holding her back as he pulls her in closer.
X6-88:
“What are you doing?” He freezes but makes no attempt to stop her. Not like he really wants to either, he’s just a bit awkward with new affection.
Gage:
“Yeah, sure, take what’s yours, Boss.” He grins as he ultimately submits himself to be her personal seat without complaints. He relaxes and only hopes that she’ll cuddle further into him at her own will.
Mason:
“The throne does it for ya, huh?” He smirks as his Pack eyes the Overboss sitting atop of his lap on his throne. He pulls her closer to him with urgency and revels in the moment.
Mags Black:
“Sure, make yourself comfortable.” At first she’s taken aback, but decides she doesn’t mind the affection. She hugs Sole from behind and allows her to sit there for as long as she pleases.
Nisha:
“Okay, only for a bit. Don’t get too comfortable.” She pretends she doesn’t like it, but by the very, very faint blush on her cheeks, Sole knows that she secretly loves it.
William Black:
“Well aren’t you just sweet today, Boss.” He grins as holds Sole’s hips in place as he looks up at her lovingly.

The years are getting to her, and she’s looking for one last mission before she retires. Recruit location: The Citadel.

Dogmeat - Dax | Tuchanka: Forlorn Varren. A varren who just lost his krogan master in a clan war. Ferociously loyal, and can be tamed by a little love and pyjak meat. Recruitment location: Tuchanka

Bonus: My Lone Wanderer as a squadmate: Persephone “Percy” Zhou - Fera’Zael nar Vayyam | Dossier: Wandering Scientist. She is a young quarian scientist whose father was accused of treason and exiled by the Vayyam’s captain while she is on Pilgrimage. She wants to know what happened to him, but she’s stuck in Omega after incurring a debt in Afterlife. Recruitment location: Omega.
Author’s Notes: See below.
Oh boy this was fun to write and research!
Naming Butch was a little difficult, but him being a young Vault Dweller who wanted to explore the outside (who, according to Doc Mitchell, have weaker immune systems due to the sterile environment of the vaults) drew an almost perfect parallel to a young quarian who’s excited to leave the Flotilla for his Pilgrimage, so I endured the research. I can totally see quarian!Butch freaking the hell out the first time he experiences a suit rupture, complaining that places outside the Flotilla smells so bad that he has to replace his filters often. and accidentally consuming levo food.
Charon’s contract could easily be analogous to the Compact, and his name was easy to adapt into Drell (Feron, Kolyat, Rakhana). Plus, Thane’s last name Krios is from Greek mythology, and so is Kharon, the alternate spelling for Charon’s name, so it’s basically a no-brainer at this point. It also helps that there’s a bar in Omega called Afterlife, which can act as a parallel to Fallout’s Underworld/Ninth Circle. Additionally, Charon wears dark leather armor anyway. He’ll probably look good in drell clothing.
Fawkes reminded me of Wrex in his own way, being an exile among their kind (though Wrex evolves past that and leads clan Urdnot). Add Fawkes’ nigh-indestructible nature and bloodlust, plus the Super Mutant’s sterility that could parallel the krogans’ sterility from the genophage, and being a badass krogan would be a good fit with him.
I don’t have much to say on the other humanoid companions because I’m not as invested in them emotionally as those three, but I did my best to make sure their counterparts stayed true to the essence of their characters! (I lost all creativity on RL-3 though. Sigh.) The easiest ones to do are probably Charon’s and Butch’s counterparts.
I think I’ll draw them after I finish my current comic project or in-between inking pages. Who knows? Maybe these counterparts might evolve into characters of their own one day! I hope you guys enjoyed this!

opinions on. fack it. all da fo4 companions.
Ough
Its been dhsjjf a few years since I touched f4 and still haven't finished it so I straight up had to look up the list
I have over 120+ hours in that game and I still haven't met nick valentine properly
Preston Garvey: 10/10
The most perfect man!!! My 120 hours of game play have been lovingly traveling and building settlements with my husband preston Garvey.
I love him very very much and the way the Fandom and game treated him was a fucking crime. The fact that everyone reduced him to that one meme sucks because then NO ONE talked about his very nice in depth character thats really compelling and sweet. Then the game itself should known better than to make your fucking companion the minuteman quest giver! Or at least change how it worked! Or just give to a minuteman at the castle so you would have a reason to go there after the quest
Not to mention how fucking scummy the nuka cola dlc is to him with making him one of the biggest victims to what you have to do to play that dlc
Hancock: 9/10
Big fan I think he's very very funny and also my husband. Its very fun to have mods that let me travel with both him and preston. They don't psychically talk to each other but their general comments are very funny to hear next to each other.
But hancock a good man I care him and his whole like outlook and deal.
Sometimes I feel his story is a lil idk I think there's more personal shit we could do with him. But again its been a few years so I maybe im misremembering
Cait: 6/10
Iv never traveled with cait myself and she's probably one of the companions i know the least about
But from what I do know
Shes my daughter and love to fight and I love that
BuT iv heard some like mixed opinions on how caits drug addiction is written and yeah iv heard mostly its kinda not great!
But I care her shes my daughter a solid 7/10!
Codsworth: 4.5/10
truely no offence to codsworth, but i really just dont care djgh about him. like no reaL strong opinions. and this comes from me! someone who had a bIG robot interest!
i think codsworth is my friend but more or less just kinda blends into the background for me so much i forget he’s a companion
Curie: 4/10
i also havent traveled or even met curie this is based again on what i know from reading about her
but man fallout 4 sure said were gonna have some real fun robots in the mechanist DLC but all the main story robots are gonna be just not that good
and curie, man i really really dont like her becoming a totally human looking synth. idk her whole deal with doing that but djksg i hate it become i like robot not human skin waman.
curie seems like she could be a friend but just weird tiddy boob robot horny
Paladin Danse: 3/10
i rEALLY dont get the hype on Danse. i SEE where danse can be a lot more interesting but its not actually there as far as i know. again iv met danse but didnt travel with him because i didnt care about BOS stuff but i know with f4 you kinda have to do that
the other half of danse stans i see just think he’s hot buT LIKE he loOKS like the generic fallout 4 man model! there cuter men in fo4 Danse just looks like the base player character when you start the game. he looks like sturges and every other man
i do not care about him
i care more about the rest of the BOS if they were written how I wanted them to be written
Deacon: 6/10
iv never met or traveled with deacon, he is probably one of the companions i know the least about in Fo4
he seems fine, i realLY dont have a feel for his character to give a solid opinion beyond im glad he seems like a goober and like a good person. aND his disguise shit is a very fun game mechanic i do love that and wish id known about it sooner i went so many places he apparently is without knowing he does that
Dogmeat: 10/10
thats a good boy!
Maccready: 8/10
i havent traveled with maccready but im an avid Fo3 lover so i know his deal p well. i love him that is mY SON
i kill for Fo4 to have more intertwining Fo3 characters for a lot of reasons but im happy Maccready is there he is my terrible son who is grounded grounded grounded
as far as i can tell tho like his character seems so contained to Fo4 and almost feels like they dont want any Fo3 characters who were put in Fo4 to ?? like acKNowledge the Fo3 events?? its so weird to me
Piper Wright: 4/10
this is probably a huge unpopular opinion but i sdjkgh dont care for piper. she seems like a good person and everything but i think she is kinda a lot to deal with sjkgh. she just kinda isnt in my wheel house of like characters i enjoy!
also i literally have no idea what her companion quest is beyond how weirdly interested she is in the player character. i couldnt guess what her companion quest is to save my life, i havent traveled with her but i also like feel iv heard NO one talk about her goals and only that shit she mentions having done sounds p neat, wish i could be there
Strong: 6/10
not bad, i like strong he is my friend. but also i very much see the big issues that come with the bad super mutant writing
and i was spoiled with Fawkes and Lily i just love them so much and it just feels like Strong took the most obvious and boring route with a super mutant companion
X6: 6/10
have not met or traveled with X6 and i have heard a loT of like differing opinions on him
i like him! i think he seems sweet and i like the potential he could be
but he isnt! his character story and writing is just bad because the institute writing is so bad
Ada: 10/10
I LOVE YOU MISS ADA! underrated companion. i know she is a dlc companion but i actually like the mechanist DLC and ada is a sweetheart she is my friend
Porter Gage: 1/10
listen, i havent played nuka world and really dont have full interest in it so im limited to fan interpretations of gage and what i know from the wiki and ect
but he seems like?? a shit head?? like just another raider bastard? like not even a complex multi dimensional raider with opinions, he just seems to be a raider? idk what im missing but i dont get the hype and why i see more art of him drawn than of preston garvey :///
and im not gonna do longfellow because im gonna be real cheif, no idea. i couldnt even start to know shit about him

Just bought and am installing fo3. I play on console and cannot mod. Do not anticipate Enjoying it but I’ll enjoy my idealized fantasy of what it could have been and putting way too much effort into character building and mentally rewriting the game as I go.
i know this isnt what you want to hear but i cannot endorse playing a bethesda game on a console under absolutely any circumstances
except 76 i guess because it’s an mmo so we’re fucked on pc too
anyway i know you wont have much fun but i hope you derive some kind of nourishment from it
the graphic design stuff and landscapes r the best in the series so soak that in
