Hi if you ever find yourself in a relationship saying anything along the lines of "well I can't leave cause I would never be able to find something better than this because I'm trans/fat/aging/antisocial/unlucky" I beg of you to run. Please. You can find and build better but in order to do that you have to take the first step out the door. You do not have to endure abuse, mistreatment, or just plain incompatibility for the sake of a fraction of happiness. You don't.

What does it mean to be proship? And why are so many people suddenly against it?

Being proship means that you support stuff such as incest (such as siblings, parent-child and step-siblings), pedophilia, abusive relationship and other ship dynamics that most people are against, simply because "it's fictional". Proshippers also go by anti-anti in some cases, or both at the same time.

People are against proshipping because they find shipping nasty stuff like that under the veil of it being fiction rightfully disgusting, hence why they ask proshippers to not interact with their posts. They aren't exclusive to a single community, and are rather widespread across fandom spaces. Some people simply don't want these kinds of people to interact with their posts, but some do anyways despite them asking not for them to interact with their content.

There are also people neutral to being proship or an anti. Some people may be uncomfortable about them interacting with their posts because of this, but it really depends on person to person.

(This post isn't meant to be the exact meaning of these kinds of people, just a simple explanation of who they are for people who don't know about proshipping and why people are against it.)

Take a stand with the ACLU and fight back against the Trump Administration and protect your rights as American Citizens.

I just signed a bunch of petitions and sent several emails to my state's Reps and Senators via the ACLU's Take Action tab. (I've also donated to them twice!) I'm now encouraging everyone who sees this to reblog and do the same.
