Sometimes we will write something and it becomes immediately apparent within a few paragraphs that we are the kind of person who reads philosophy textbooks for fun

#we speak #and we dont. know how to edit it out #because in hindsight it is also obvious that we have also based our magic system on esoteric philosophical concepts #anyways if we write something and we've completely lost you within a handful of paragraphs #then it may be bc we spend our spare time reading about a bunch of guys argue about the nature of humanity #and then we're boiling down like half a dozen different conflicting philosophical concepts and making it into a magic system #every time we do this it also makes us significantly harder to talk to if you are an actual person who hasnt been Doing This #and then we have to reread things if we want to quote them because our memory is holey and shared between us and at least one Beast

DISCLAIMER: The discussion below doesn't at all undermine the serious situation at hand.

Last weekend, musician and activist Elena Ríos posted on Twitter that she was sexually assaulted by TH and called him a 'predator'. She also mentioned that 'there are other victims out there' and that we have to 'wait and see'.

Ofc it devasted everyone. It's disappointing so understandably folks are deleting accounts, pulling back artworks, and later on that day, started to delete fics.

It triggered panic in readers. Of course, the fics belong to the writers and they have every right to do what they want with them but if you had an experience getting a fav fic deleted (esp if you lived through LiveJournal/FFN purge) you know what I'm talking about and how soul crushing it is. So people had started to download fics, and writers are coming forward (even before the fic deletes) and saying where they stand and if they are continuing/deleting/taking a break.

On Monday, TH released a statement saying that the allegations are false and 'unsubstantiated' and his lawyer had been looking at this months before Elena's tweets circulated.

as much as it will be good to get The Literally Broken In Half (sort of) tooth fixed tomorrow, i rlly wish they were also fixing The Tooth Dissolving My Jawbone bc it is the one actually hurting lately

Oh and for those who were wondering/cared about my lost suitcase drama.

It's gone. They fucking lost my bag and I am so upset about that you have no idea.

And now I have to send an email in regards to what was in my bag in the hopes that they either refund my ticket or pay me for cost of what was in the bag.

#i mean yeah it had a couple of notebooks that i had been writing fics in and a couple of gel pens #but both of those had only maybe only a couple of pages of new fic each #so its annoying that those are gone but i can live #i'm more upset about losing everything else in there!#my shampoo and conditioner and (completely full) bodywash is all gone #my electric toothbrush (and much cheaper to replace toothpaste and hairbrush)#the little container that my parents had gotten me as a souvenir from mexico that had all my favourite earrings and necklaces in it #that pink floral-y type dress that was my favourite and cost me like $160 #a nice sweater and jeans that i had only bought like 3 months previous #a pair of $70 shoes that i had just *literally* bought like two days beforehand #all my nice underwear and bras #the two $40 shirts I had gotten from a concert i had went to like just the week before #the only non-holey pairs of socks i had #and what is admittedly the funniest thing to lose: two boxes of pads that I had shoved in like an hour before I had to leave #because my period had just started that day #all in all that was probably at least $500 worth of stuff that is just gone now #and all because the bus driver probably wrote the wrong destination on the luggage tag or stored it in the wrong compartment #and just left it in the middle of a gas station parking lot somewhere
