About Natlan...

So, the Natlan trailer is out and honestly… I'm disappointed.

I waited 3 years to see my culture represented but these character designs tell me nothing about pre-Hispanic culture or Latam culture as a whole and it's heartbreaking because the map and soundtrack are lovely.

Also, it's sad that some other Latinos are just like "there are white Latinos too." "At least we're getting represented." It's almost like they don't know their own culture. Seriously, do they think that just because a character is named "Citlali" (star in Náhuatl), that's enough?

Also this doesn't feel like genshin at all, why does nations like liyue, inazuma or fontaine have beautiful designs and are inspired on 1 or 2 countries while Natlan is based in TWO CONTINENTS is just like if hoyoverse said "Africa and Latam? Let's mix them together, they are both tropical continents after all"

And it makes me sad because i was planning on doing 2 OCs for natlan both dark skined and based on mexica/aztec and maya culture but seeing those hoyeverse designs… My OCs wouldn't fit their "aesthetic" and i refuse to see my culture used as an "aesthetic" once again from foreigners that don't even care to know and respect it.

Buddie things which are canon in the show:

•Eddie is the only one who isn't annoyed by clipboard Buck.

• Eddie loves listening to Buck rant about random information.

•Eddie was the only one who was interested in Buck's newfound math powers after he got hit by the lightning.

•Buck was the only one who cried when Eddie got shot.

•Eddie was the only one seen crying after Buck got hit by the lightning.

•Buck saved Eddie from the shooter.

•Eddie brought Buck back to life by pumping his heart.

•Eddie only entrusts Buck with his son..not even his own girlfriend or family.

•Eddie knew about Maddie's plan to keep Buck occupied after he came back from the hospital but he was the only one who wasn't on her list. Because he knew that was what not Buck wanted.

•Buck runs to Eddie after Chimney punches him.. not Bobby, not Hen when he usually shares everything with them. He knew he wanted someone he could trust at that moment, as he was hurt by a very close friend, so he went to Eddie.

•Christopher runs away to Buck when he's upset with Eddie. Not to Eddie's Abuela or Tia, but Buck.

•Christopher also calls Buck when Eddie is having a breakdown. Again, not his family, but Buck.

people saying "well Silco wouldn't have HAD to know Vi and Powder as kids" are creating even more plot holes and that's so funny to me

mostly cause Vi was around 10 to 12 during the day of ash and what, with the new context the Vander/Silco fall out wasn't till after that attack.

That said, up until then there is nothing that can make us assume Felicia/Vander/Silco had a fall out (especially not cause of how they made Silco react to her death?) meaning it would be incredibly weird had he NOT known the kids.

but then Vi should have recognized him and she DOESN'T. she literally, in episode three, tells Mylo and Claggor that she had no idea who it was that killed Benzo and took Vander. Again, Vi was around 10 to 12, that tells us that the day of ash was only around 4 to 2 years ago in act 1 of season 1. No one forgets someone who should, by all logic, be this integrated in ones life in the span of that time. I can give you Powder, since she was around 4 to 6, not Vi though.

god the fucking writers really didn't think this through at all.

Had they JUST made the fall out between Vander and Silco BEFORE the day of ash it wouldn't even be too bad because then we could logically assume Vi was maybe too young to remember but??? yeah no. also Silco not recognizing Vi with this context, I don't even wanna THINK about that
