Danny is tired and annoyed. On one hand, his parents took the whole ‘so I might be slightly dead’ pretty well! Which is good! On the other, they decided to send him and his sisters to their uncle while they take care of the Guys in White and refurbish the house to be, well, him safe. Which meant a ridiculously long flight all the way to New Jersey. 

A flight he was pretty sure happened to be illegal what with the fact that neither of them were asked for their IDs or anything despite having them with them. Hm. Y’know he’s not going to question it, he’s getting a nap the moment they get to Uncle Harvey’s.

Danny wasn't the first to be contaminated with ectoplasm. Jazz was.

Thus contant angst and some gore. Viewer be advised.

Born and raised as a fenton without miraculously being effected by ecto while Jack and Maddie wear hazmut suits most the time up to her teen years would take a miracle.

Jazz knew she was effected by ectoplasm since she was a little girl, taking care of danny as a toddler and trying to make sure her brother doesn't eat the glowing green liquid in the freeze.

She didn't want him to get sick like she did... making sure the gadgets stay out of his line of sight.

He was innocent and too young to notice how ne-neglect her parents were being over their obsession of ghosts.

She was infected enough to see the tiny fading blobs flying around but never mentioned to her parents again after last time, and her parent stay in the basement for almost a week and half that time and missing Danny's birthday again.

Jazz was smart though, reading about psychology books far higher in intelligence then her age, and knew enough about the inventions that Jack made gave her an idea..

A terrible but brilliant idea to bring this family together, so danny could have the best childhood memories then hers..

She began sabotage some of their works to jam and malfunction, making some of their work papers as proof seem crazy to be denied so they actually spent time with her and danny as a Family and it was working well enough for years,....

Until the ghost portal work that day..

Then the ghosts coming out of it causing havoc which renew her parents obsession back from the very grave she has surely made they were buried...

Then finding her brother.. her sweet little brother had died and came back due to her sabotaging the portal with the turn on button being inside...

Something inside her crack a bit.

Helping him and distracting her parents was going well enough. Stealing the ecto shot to help her brother heal from the battles of facing the ghosts, red hunter, GIW and her parents. This was all her fault that she knew deep within..

Until Danny (her sweet little brother that she raise, care for, love)went missing during the middle of his sick day with no ghosts being out today when she decide to go get chicken soup from the store..

She should've seen it sooner when she came back and seen Danny's bed empty with spot mixed of ectoplasm and blood, dropping the chicken soup package from the store ..

Their parents loved them that she knew as she grabbed the fenton creep bat..

But she knew since she was a little girl..

Opening the basement door quietly, slowly and walking down the stairs without making a noise.

That they love their work more.

Her eyes burned with burning fierce firey green glow of pure rage and determination as she creep slowly aiming, as she swung the fenton creep hard on the back of Jack's head with a sickeningly crack, then next quickly hitting Maddie hard in the face as she knew they both won't listen to reason..

She know that would only buy her enough time consider Jack was a hard head, but maddie was out for good measurement. Taking the keys to the ecto shackles.

She know that if she were to cry, she will not stop crying if she did. Unshackling Danny's limbs, and pressing the off button on the ecto Ghost muzzle.

Checking to see if he lost any limbs or organs.. thankfully none yet...

"It's going to hurt, but we are leaving together.. ok danny?" She said with a watery tone looking into her brother's tear soaked red eyes, grabbing the ecto fishing string and a needle, giving Danny's a metal piece of material to bite on, onceshe pressed the freshly Y incision as she began to resew. Giving him a couple of Ecto-Dejecto to speed up the healing. (Pretending it was just a gash in her mind instead of seeing her brother's heart beating with a marble sized core buzzing leaking ectoplasmic mixed blood)

Once she sewed the wound up, rushing to put danny in the back of her car, getting the secretly duffle bags containing the things, New IDs, money, passports needed including a USB of the fenton portal and inventions blueprints in case anything happened(it did, it happen oh god..), rush back to the basment, press the button she had hidden in the lab to delete everything about all the information about the ghost portal and ghost files, the immediate lockdown everything including the portal in 5 minutes then self destruction meltdown minutes afterward.. afterall she did help made the lockdown, putting her own special password(She always make sure to had to backup plan to a backup plan..)

By the time she got to her car, and started driving at speed that would've gave her a police ticket, she didn't stop even when she saw the glowing ectoplasmic forced field emerged covering only the fenton house..

She didn't stop when she left the Amity Park border line.. She didn't stop when the loud ear piercing boom echoing.. she just drove to the only person in one place that would help her..

Her distant cousin twiced removed Edward Nashton whom live in Gotham.

The Red Hood turned toward her so fast, he hissed as he felt a sharp pain in his side. Oh right. He’d been shot. Twice.

“Touch that.” Jazz finished quietly. She strode over to his bedside and sat down, revealing a first aid bag. She waited until he nodded his consent to check his bandages and started to change them.

Shit that hurt. Her touch was light but a bullet wound was still a bullet wound. In an attempt to keep his mind off of what she was doing, he asked about the object.

“What is it?” She looked up. He nodded his head toward the… whatever it was. He could have sworn it had a faint green glow around it now.

“Oh that.” She resumed her work while she spoke. “It’s highly contaminated. One touch and your food will come alive and attack you for days until it wears off.”

Ooookay. Not what he expected to hear. And she was so nonchalant about it.

“Really?!” He asked incredulously.

“No!” She finished wrapping his side with new bandages and moved on to his arm.

“I just don’t want you to touch it.” She said with a mischevious smile, then resumed her work.

He chuckled at that, then winced at the pain.

“Careful. Don’t tear the stitches I put in. I won’t do it again.”

So you know how in Ninjago whenever one of the ninja would get a love interest, they would just immediately fall in love at the first sight of said love interest? Well when it comes to Cole and Geo, I like to think that it was the other way around. Instead of Cole immediately falling in love with Geo the second he sees him, I fully believe that it was Geo who was just immediately smitten at the first sight of Cole, and then Cole developed feelings for Geo over time.

the "akechi's body count is in the hundreds!" stuff bothers me SO much not bc people hate him for it (skill issue!) but bc it's so... clearly fucking wrong??

if you want to see massive overthinking it's under the cut but tl;dr his max # of targets is 150, and we already know psychotic breakdowns are more frequent than mental shutdowns.

The thieves clear 8 palaces in 9 months. There's also 33 possible mementos rq's, pushing the thieves total # of targets to 41. I'll round palace rate to 1 per month. Mementos rq rate is ~4 per month, although this is obviously going to vary. Add 1 to this and you get 5 (for simplicity's sake).

Akechi claims that the mental shutdowns + psychotic breakdowns happen at a similar rate to changes of hearts. Who knows if he's including the minor changes from mementos when he makes this statement (or if he's even being honest). This is a weird as fuck statement (especially to the guy he suspects of leading the phantom thieves?????). We'll include Mementos for now, though.

That puts Akechi's max # of targets at 150. However, unlike the thieves, Akechi has two entirely different tools he uses.

Psychotic breakdowns do not directly kill anyone. Mental shutdowns usually kill someone, but there are cases where people survive (see: Ohya's partner). I'm currently trying to track all in-game mentions of psychotic breakdowns. Interestingly, they do seem to coincide with palaces.

Psychotic breakdowns are overwhelmingly more common than mental shutdowns. Of the incidents mentioned by npcs and on tv, I'm at Futaba's palace and they've all been psychotic breakdowns.

In-game, there's only 5 mental shutdowns directly mentioned. Wakaba, Okumura, Ohya's partner (who survived, and is in a coma), Kobayakawa, and the SIU Director. I think it's sort of vaguely mentioned that Okumura ordered mental shutdowns on some rival CEOs, but I'm not at that point in-story so I can't confirm. Plus, the localization does mix up shutdowns and breakdowns at a few points.

I'm assuming he has access to Mementos, but if he doesn't I think it's nigh-impossible for him to have over 30 targets.

I do think it's pretty unlikely that he has the max possible targets. Shido says that Okumura was making too many requests and drawing attention they didn't want. It's also mentioned that Akechi goes into palaces for surveillance and information gathering (he gets info so he and Shido are able to blackmail the SIU Director, and appears to have been monitoring Madarame + Kaneshiro for similar reasons).

Obviously it's entirely impossible to prove how this is divided up, but I think it's reasonable to assume something like this:

Mental shutdowns are the rarest, reserved for taking out people who pose a major risk to Shido, and possibly as a request from people very close to him.

Psychotic breakdowns are fairly common, and what most people request Akechi to do. They don't directly kill people, but since it makes people act erratically, deaths are common (and not necessarily the target themselves). It also seems that the requests are more about damaging organizations/businesses, rather than specific people.

Most of his work is gathering intel for Shido. He monitors the shadows of anyone who could be a potential threat or ally, and reports back anything worth mentioning. This is why when Shido begins to get paranoid, he orders Akechi to take out "anyone he finds suspicious." Being involved with intelligence work would also explain why he appears to actually have his supposedly fake detective skills.

There's some other factors here, like if Akechi even needed to clear palaces or if he only needed to find the shadow. There's also the question of if he even had access to Mementos, though I think he must've and it's just a plot hole.

I hold the general opinion that the writers didn't think much about how many people Akechi killed. Personally, I believe they intended for it to be between 12-20 directly, with breakdown casualties being ?????.

It's my opinion/headcanon that his target rate is much lower than generally assumed. I think it's closer to 3/mo, with mental shutdowns only coming in every other month (if that). If he did more than that, it'd actually be kind of insane! We see that he has time to get his schoolwork done, work on cases (mostly faked, but some are real if MM and the cut sem 3 request are considered), be a celebrity, go to the Metaverse, and still have hobbies.

So, my HC math is he's directly killed/mental shutdown'd 15 people. And who fucking knows what the fatality rate on breakdowns is (I AM working on this though.)

i think it's a big point a lot of people misunderstand. lucifer... cares for people, but not in the same way. mazikeen has idolized him since he saved her as a child- usually calls him 'lord lucifer' or something along those lines. she's respectful because of his power. i don't think either of them have actually fallen in love with another.

not that neither of them are capable of love. i think they could, maybe, if the circumstances came for it. for the right being. but it would be so, so hard.

and you'd really have to make me want it. in the show, i couldn't much care for deckerstar. doesn't make sense to me. also, i can't wrap my head around any characters from vertigo being genuinely romantically involved with a cop for an extended period of time. just because they're all incredibly off the walls. but in the case of lucifer, he doesn't need to debate morality. hell, he knows his morals are somewhat askew from what people view as "normal". but that's a note for another day.

anyways, i don't care for this ship, but this being added really shows that lucifer doesn't. care, exactly? like sure, it's nice to have her around. but i don't think he's ever explicitly told her he loved her. and being constantly loyal to him kind of prevented her from coming into her own for a little while. absolutely loved it when in the 2018-2020 run, she ended up basically telling him to fuck off when she was running her own little antique shop. it's nice.

I've seen a few versions of this being "righteous rants", and I-... Hmm... What if we go a little bit further?

Danny knows that if the Justice League had ever gotten involved with the Amity Park situation? It would've been a disaster. They would've sent someone, they would've gotten overshadowed, and the town would've pretty much been razed to the ground.

Like, he would've still appreciated if they'd like... checked in or something? Or at least sent a message to the people of Amity Park about why they were staying the hell away.

But no, they got nothing. Radio-fucking-silence.

Danny isn't going to call the Justice League a bunch of dickheads, because they do seem to be doing good stuff outside of Amity Park. But it's very much a grudging kind of acknowledgment.

Then one of those fuckers tosses his car at one of their villains.

Did the guy need an improvised weapon? Maybe? Could he have used the light-pole right next to it? Absolutely. It would've even had better balance for if 'Superboy' wanted to continue wailing away at him with it.

It would've been a huge chunk of steel that he could've used to keep hitting the villain. But no. No, he had to use Danny's fucking car to throw at the villain.

And then he fucking misses the shot.

So, not only has he destroyed Danny's car for no fucking reason, he's also basically just chucked it through a building also for no fucking reason.

That's the kind of collateral-damage that would've seen Amity Park bring out torches and pitchfork and chase Phantom through the damn streets.

And here? Here it's just another fucking Tuesday.

Danny is-... Danny is just done with it.

No, not in the sense of a shrug and a 'what can you do'-attitude. No, Danny is done with accepting that this is okay. Because it isn't okay. And Danny is going to shove that down these fucker's throats as if it was fucking barbed wire.

This? This is the start of Danny's Villain-Arc. And he's going to make everyone responsible for it suffer.

(At least until Jazz cottons onto what he's doing and sits him down for a long talk about 'appropriate levels of retaliation', but that's probably still months away at this point. And the Justice League will rue the fucking day they crossed him.)
