Pelswick really is one of the craziest cartoons to come out of Canada because it's just this super unhinged show that balances slice-of-life plots with some really cartoony moments and goes into borderline black comedy territory sometimes and then the official canon as posted on Nelvana's website confirms that Pelswick's mom, Marilyn, died in the same car accident that rendered him paraplegic when he was around ten years old and his guardian angel, Mr. Jimmy, started showing up after the accident presumably because now Pelswick didn't have a lot of adult sounding boards (with his dad being busy with his younger siblings who would've been four and an infant respectively and Gram-Gram being...Gram-Gram) and like...

Hello, just a heads up! Sayuri is ranked as a Special Grade. Thus, she is crazily overpowered with broken abilities. This is a run down to show the extent of her prowl && how she has grown over time along with Tsukuyomi's own strength.

Marksmanship: A pastime that Sayuri once practiced during her days at Tokyo Tech, Kyūdō, remains one of her most beloved skills. While it’s a rarity to witness her in battle dawning a longbow, she still maintains this practice in order to lessen her stress, thus keeping perfect balance. There are ever growing rumors that she has practiced with firearms in the past, something she refutes && will not elaborate on further.

Master weaponry: like most Kobayashi women, Sayuri’s prowl && knowledge on cursed tools is second to none. The clan prides itself on an ever growing cache of relics from bygone eras, believing in the game of finders keepers, whoever possesses the weapon shall die with it. Most, if not all of the women have a preference, for Sayuri who seeks to hide herself amongst all, she will take on the usage of blades && in several cases, swords.

Mixed martial arts: specializes primarily in take down tactics, grappling, along with pressure point fighting. Excellent in her skills, Sayuri’s body is defined as a weapon in itself due to the ironclad resistance && unbreakable exterior she holds. Honed from a young age, it is her greatest pride && assist. Hence the moniker, the God Hand Sorcerer as she seeks to transcend the limitations of the human form. This is highly inspired by Toji’s Heavenly Restriction as many view him with contempt or disdain; Sayuri has always seen the former Zen’in son as the perfection of the idealistic form.

Plastic Love: created from all that was sweet, innocent, brimming with the first love of girlhood. From the depths of her heart, she wished to share in something wondrous to grant her friends succor during combat. Through the method of understanding the flow of cursed energy, Sayuri can amplify her ‘dance partner’s’ critical rate. The true reasoning for Plastic Love is to assist with the usage of Black Flash, amplifying by 5 percent when one does not harmonize, if her partner chooses to do so, their cursed energy output will rise by 10 percent. If she dances alone, Sayuri herself can exhilarate her cursed energy by a duration of 7 percent.

Domain Expansion Throne Of Heavenly Judgement; the Celestial Crown of the Universe: Only seen once during the Culling Game, otherwise, it is not depicted nor is information known about her Domain Expansion except she managed to grasp it rather early in life. What is known often dispels rumors that it is wondrous as it is frightening, bright, vivid && brimming with an infernian fury.

Tsukuyomi abilities

Multi-dimensional pocket/weapon cache      Capable of using an unknown method to hide his weaponry, in the midst of battle, Sayuri can activate it to pull out various cursed tools. There is a joke between the two. There are a few junk items ranging from cute plushies to snacks, they take nothing seriously.

Naginata/lance/spear mastery: Tsukuyomi preferred his combat to be on a further end of the spectrum. Relying heavily on the usage of magic && long range items. His beloved lance was known solely as the Feast Slayer, granting him the ironic even sardonic title, Lord of the Feast after the slaying of Ukemochi. In his stead, during the events of the Culling Game, his crown would be passed onto Sayuri as she would be ruled as Lady of the Feast && inherit his prized naginata. Tsukuyomi loved this lance so much, that it is often depicted as a third limb that he navigated with ease, by doing so, Sayuri would rename it as the Bringer of the New Dawn stripping away the chains that bound them. Now, they would walk separately as two entities that marveled in each other’s glory, Tsukuyomi’s lance is categorized as a special grade cursed tool, sought after by many even the Kobayashi clan could not detect its locations. From withering bones, the God Spoke, one shall lay claim to all that was mine. The cryptic words he spoke only to his vessel depicted that in death, Tsukuyomi assured none could obtain what was his from greed, they must be granted it by his blessing.

Domain Expansion The Reigning Glory of the Eternal Moon A illusive lunar palace, Sayuri has spoken that she was once in the mirror from where the deity of the Moon was born. He spoke of his ascension into Godhood as one of many, in many forms he has lived && died, but in this realm all was his to conqueror && rule. She cannot explain the mechanisms but has elaborated it is an illusion && the place where Tsukuyomi fell after his death. Where he gazes upon the stars && seeks to rejoin his siblings once more in their embrace. It is where they created their pact under the pretense, if the small girl could delight him, he would grant her favor && remain benevolent in slumber. At the start of their union, the two were symbolically entwined as twins, thus creating a theory that Tsukuyomi suffers from his memories becoming distorted through the passage of time. After Sayuri’s ascension through the events of Shibuya, where she remained in a stupor during healing, they would meet once more in Tsukuyomi’s domain; honoring the vows of their pact && becoming celestial siblings - two halves that could make one another whole.

Kobayashi attributes

Miyako Odori tier one (Past Arc only)

     Cosmetic alteration, Kobayashi girls that show promise in this area are granted passage into becoming ‘no face women’ the highest honor in their lineage. To be a no face woman is to one day know they shall excel in the practice of assassination. Small attributes begin to change, from their lip size, nose, to the length of their hair (floor length hair is considered chic within the family, a throwback to the days of the Heian Era, particularly favored amongst the elders) && lashes. Sayuri chose to augment her eye color during the Past Arc. Happily, she would demonstrate to her friends a hue of jade green that glowed like the stars, cosmic, brimming with a milky depth that almost caused her pupil to vanish. 

Miyako Odori tier two (Perfect Preparation / Culling Game) Requiem of the Festered Promises:

      After the tremendous loss in Shibuya, Sayuri discards most of her personal skills for those of her family line, believing that she no longer has claim to her own desires. Thus, she tosses all aside seeking comfort in the promising future she had shown as a kunoichi. By doing so, she has grasped the full extent of Miyako Odori. Unleashing the final tier that is designated to candidates that have excelled in their training && vowed to uphold the time honored tradition of assassination.

     The Kobayashi women were few && in between when it came to the art of expelling curses, they have always hunted their own kin, holding themselves in high regard that the impurity within this world is sometimes those who are sworn to protect. They believe that they are harbingers of equilibrium, blood that is shed is done so solely out of desperation to gain peace. Unlike others of their own kin, they do not hide from being cursed instead reveling in it, knowing the extent of their monstrous deeds && how they are the only ones to embrace it. Naturally, there are laws to abide by, though the Kobayashi Clan has always sought a way in through the usage of stealing faces.

     From wives, lovers, handmaidens, or even a maid, they have stolen the visage to contort the truth && end a target’s life. Some assassins spend the moment from birth till death seeking their goal, by the Culling Game, Sayuri can easily change her face. The usage of RCT grants them this gift, miraculously, this also places them as strong sorcerers within Kyoto who cannot be categorized due to their disdain for outsiders. No Face Women are commonly known as Daughters of Willows && Flowers or The Beauty in Violet;  referring to their moniker of a Wisteria tree that has withstood in their estate since the conception of the clan.

Yokai Blood (descendant of Hone-Onna) As a child of a cursed woman, Sayuri belongs to the branch of Hone-Onna’s descendants, they are known to slowly be dying out. Within the Kobayashi Clan, there are many secular groups of yokai women, the most beloved are children of Yuki-Onna or Jorogumo, while the most feared are those of Nure-Onna. It is common to see characteristics of each decadent in pale light. There are no daughters of Tamamo-no-Mae, the Kobayashi’s seek to once more lay claim to her, not out of power but the desperation that she must return home rightfully with them. In a sanctum of violet; one will see visuals of the strange beings in silk metamorphosing into monstrous figures from whom they delight in, laughing joyfully, all that is beauty becomes rot.

i know a lot of people who have this logic behind the scenes, and i get it tbh. we all have different life experiences and expectations. my old roommate was fucking her lifelong best friend and had been since they were kids, she didn't consider it cheating; the problem became when she decided to lie about it to her partner even though they were poly and lying was their boundary of what counted as cheating.

honestly we need a much healthier attitude toward sexuality as a society than we have. this kind of stuff isn't normal or acceptable for some people, but not everyone shares the same values and different people just grow into complex relational situations naturally. in my roommate's case, the two of them had gone through a deeply traumatic childhood together and considered themselves two sides of the same soul.... i don't think there's anything anyone who wasn't there can really criticize about that UNTIL they both decided not to be honest about it with their future partners. even then, our society doesn't provide room for the weirder bonds and that's a problem that contributed to the "cheating" situation.

this kind of stuff, the complex messy human interactions and strange formations of love, is why i'm a relationship anarchist. i love my husband more than anything; i genuinely believe he's my soulmate, but that doesn't mean that some weird shit we don't have a cultural perspective to account for ahead of time won't come up. so we've had many discussions about the difference between my unpredictable passions, his in-the-moment decisionmaking, and lasting bond we have. more specifically, how we know we're both complex people going in and those complexities are a part of our love and only contribute to our compatibility rather than being future risks of conflict.

Peeta Mellark is an integral member of the four D12 victors. He is literally the sunset on the reaping! How is this not clear? I’ve never wanted to report people for bad literary analysis more and I’m only half joking. It has forced me to commit a cardinal sin: analyze in anger!

1. Him being chosen by absolute accident is the point. Not only does he represent every single other tribute who simply gets chosen because they live in a messed up country but he represents how even with some odds being in your favor (older siblings, merchant family, being white, being popular, etc.) you are still very likely to be victimized by the oppressive structure of Panem.

2. When Haymitch says, “But she was smarter than me, or luckier” - the luck is all the people around Katniss who created the circumstances for her to lead a successful revolution (her father teaching her to hunt, the arena having woods, Rue healing her with leaves, Thresh not killing her, Haymitch consistently giving her support, her mother teaching her aspects of medicine, on and on and on) and Peeta is the number one, most important part of her luck in the first book. She has someone in the games actively putting her life before his… are you kidding? There is legitimately no better luck than that.

3. Even if we take Katniss out of it, Peeta is so impactful as a victor because most of his scenes would not be cut/doctored. What’s there to edit out? Instead, the viewers get a full view of him loving a girl so selflessly, using trickery and strategy instead of violence, keeping himself alive through art, joking on literal death’s door, and sharing so much of himself with the audience it becomes harder for them not to see him as a real human boy. How rare do you think that is for the games? Haymitch and LGB are caricatures of themselves in the games, playing roles that flatten them down. Even Katniss becomes one dimensional on screen without Peeta (and Rue, of course). It is also heavily implied that he does not kill anyone during the games (in a straightforward way) and even if you count Cato or the girl from 8 or even foxface, it’s never him hunting them or seeking out a kill - again how rare do you think that is to see on screen for Games viewers?

4. I didn’t think this needed to be said but: Katniss dies without Peeta in the first games. a) she goes for the bow and dies in the bloodbath; b) she is hunted and killed by Careers; c) she is killed by game makers because there’s no love story angle to keep them from just burning her entirely; d) she dies from tracker jacker stings or Cato because Peeta doesn’t defend her or tell her to run… I could go on…

5. But even if she does win and wins alone - the victory means as much (I would argue less than) any other rebellious victor winning, certainly less than Haymitch’s win. The biggest rebellion for their games is that two of them win! This is legit the only thing that distinguishes them from any other sympathetic, kind child who would have won the games. Like if Haymitch or Finnick or Wiress winning isn’t jarring enough for the Games to end… why do you think Katniss killing Peeta and winning solo would be? It would not.

6. And finally, I cannot stress this enough: There is no peaceful end to the rebellion or the trilogy without Peeta. “Peeta’s a whiz with fires” (HG) for a reason! Collins, over and over, shows us how fire can get out of control and destroy even those who are innocent and who you love (Gale, Beete, Peeta’s family, Haymitch’s family). If everyone really burns, there’s no one to clean the ashes. The reason not everyone burns is because of people like Peeta who can coax the flames in a way that is nurturing and consistent. I mean…. “Peeta fashioned some kind of incubator” is such an obvious detail. Those goslings don’t hatch without Peeta, life does not go on in peace and joy without Peeta.

It is no coincidence that when Maysilee says Lenore Dove got the “jump on us all” (in being a rebel), she is referring to LD using orange paint to make protest art!

We must stop pushing Peeta Mellark out of the narrative! He is literally the sunset on the reaping!

LORE TIME: first off! Jedi! So I thought a lot about how daemons and Jedi should work. I did end up deciding that Jedi GENERALLY have bird daemons (like the witches in His Dark Material), BUT not always. The Jedi having bird daemons is not a ‘All Force Sensitives Have Daemons Who Settle As Birds’ thing. It wouldn’t make sense in this AU since Force-sensitivity is a spectrum and at what level would someone have ‘enough’ force-sensitivity to have a daemon for certain become a bird? I didn’t like that narrative as much, it felt restrictive. So instead Jedi tend to have bird daemons, but not Force-Sensitives. Like all Jedi are force sensitive ( and have bird daemons) but not all Force-Sensitives are Jedi, make sense? This is because of how the Jedi raise children and teach them to interact with the force. Because of how Jedi are taught to view and use the force, their daemons tend to settle as birds! It’s ‘nurture’ over ‘nature’ thing. Which is why (in this AU at least) the Jedi don’t take in older children to train. Because they’ve already probably learned their own way to interact with the force (different from the Jedi teachings) and therefore will have a non-bird daemon! Hence Anakin having a lion daemon. “But what about Obi-Wan?” (Well since Obi-Wan is one of my favorites I get to spice him up lol). He was originally very Jedi like (daemon wise) but after the whole Jedi Apprentice/Xanantos enslaving him/Melida-Daan war thing, he daemon ended up settling as a Maned Wolf! I imagine he was just about the age where his daemon would settle (usually 13-15, which is the same reason this is the age Jedi initiates are made padawans), so it was a surprise that his daemon so abruptly changed and settled. Most likely the effects of being so abruptly exposed to violence and war right out of being only use to the peace of the Jedi temple his whole life. 

(Extra) The 3rd page of the post! Cody and Obi-Wan’s daemons! Beskar and Kee-Ayt! Even though in my doodles Beskar seems to be very grumpy and even hatful towards Kee-Ayt, DO NOT BE FOOLED. Beskar adores Kee-Ayt. Their relationship just mirrors how I headcanon Cody’s and Obi-Wan’s. Where they will harass and bitch at each other to hell and back. Sounding from the outsider’s POV like two people who hate each other. When in reality these two are joined at the hip and love each other. They just will never admit it because “we have reputations to uphold!’ (Anakin says “what reputation? the reputation that one of you would murder the other if it wasn’t for the fact the GAR would court marshal the other?”) But yeah, Beskar makes fun of Kee-Ayt’s long ass legs. The mini ‘comic’ is about how I imagine that since all the Clones’ daemons are dogs/canines, when they win a battles they have a ‘Victory Call’ where they all howl. Beskar offers for Kee-Ayt to join in, but Maned Wolves can’t howl. They do this thing called a Roar-Bark (look up a video it’s so loud). This is the first time Beskar hears Kee-Ayt roar-bark and it scared the shit out of her.

(Extra Extra) The 4th page of the post! This is mostly doodles of Rex, Anakin and Ashoka’s daemons (Queen, Asieko and Tuex). All three reflect the close relationship that Rex, Anakin and Ahsoka have. Hence Tuex nesting on Queen and Asieko trying to groom Queen (who doesn’t appreciate the rough lion tongue bath she’s getting). (In fact Asieko tries to groom Tuex and Kee-Ayt too, but Tuex is too small and Kee-Ayt just starts biting Asieko bcs she doesn’t appreciate the bath either lol). We also have Tuex dive bombing Asieko (a common occurrence whenever Anakin and Ahsoka bicker). Tuex also does this to literally anyone who slightly annoys him or Ahsoka. And lastly the little doodle of Rex and Queen screaming! Idk if you’ve ever seen videos of Huskies, but oh boy are they loud and dramatic. I think with all the stress and insanity Rex has to deal with leading the 501st, he and Queen often have therapy screaming sessions. They deserve to.

when rafe got married, he swore to himself that he wouldn't be like the most men that lived in figure eight, having affairs with multiple women that were ten, or even twenty years younger than him. he swore that he'd stay loyal, that the only woman he'd have eyes for would be his wife.

and he kept to his promise. he pampered his wife, caroline, in any way possible, keeping her satisfied even when he was busy with work. but out of nowhere, she seemed to be coming home later and later, making excuses that she had bumped into a friend and gone for a drink, or that her work-out session had stretched out.

but one morning after one of her "long work-out sessions", his wife was in the shower while she got a notification on her phone, and even though he tried to, rafe couldn't resist the temptation to check what message his wife had gotten. and that was the final nail on the coffin.

Pop sensation YN's star-studded 21st birthday celebration in London had everything - except her boyfriend. Formula 1 star Carlos Sainz (29) was noticeably absent from the festivities, instead posting Instagram stories of a dinner with friends in Madrid.

Multiple sources tell TMZ that Sainz COMPLETELY FORGOT about his girlfriend's birthday, leading to what insiders describe as a "major relationship crisis."

"He was posting stories and having fun in Madrid while YN was literally crying at her own party," reveals a source close to the singer. "Everyone was asking where he was, and she kept making excuses until she couldn't anymore."

The party, held at an exclusive London venue, was attended by music industry heavyweights and even several F1 drivers, including Sainz's teammate Charles Leclerc and his girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux, making the Ferrari driver's absence even more conspicuous.
