My humanized version of SCP 682 holds the face claim of Bayek from AC Origins. I REALLY resonate with the possibility that SCP 682 was once hailed as Ammit. He's pretty tall (around 6'3) with skin the color of warm chestnut! I honestly,,, did not see SCP 682 as a skinny White man,,,, and this is no disrespect to the artist at all - their depiction is valid but clashes directly with mine. He's got locs that fall around shoulder length. He's got scales all over his body!! Greens, golden browns, y'know he was a lizard to begin with. He is COVERED in eyes. They're kinda like gemstones on his body. He's muscular! I feel like,,,, he's also got scars from everything the Foundation has tried to do to him as well.

SO, you're 682's mate? How fascinating. Don't know how you managed that but he's really protective of you and the children the two of you have.

He's a very attentive partner but weirdly emotionally,,,, not present?

In some ways, he views you more as an "object" than an actual partner but you do know he loves you... in his own way.

He's not the worst partner? He's just,,, he's kind of a lizard most of the time so. Y'know.

If you guys are having kids through the biological route, he gets REALLY protective of you. He also starts to speak a bit more! Usually, he speaks in grunts and nods or shakes his head.

But you physically holding and carrying his children? His pups?? That'll be a big thing for him.

If you're having kids through the adoption route, he's pretty on the ball with that too. It doesn't matter that they're not biologically his, he has claimed them as his pups as much as he has claimed you as his mate. He will protect the family the two of you have made, blood or not.

Though I admit he's a bit more protective towards adopted children than biological children, as he can't guarantee the adopted children (who are anomalies) can protect themselves so young like bio children would be able to.

Hell the two of you (if you are afab and willing) would most likely have a mix of bio and adopted children because lord knows he wants a big brood with you.

There isn't anything he wouldn't do for you.

The kind of love he has for you is a bit odd? It's not transactional but it's not sweet and lovey dovey either. This also applies to the children the two of you have.

He teaches the children the two of you have with deep respect to who they are and fosters a physical growth and strength in them. He wants them to be able to survive and thrive when the two of you are not present.

He listens to the way you speak to them and finds joy in that.

He will always call you the "mother/father" of his children alongside him.

Doesn't like when Foundation staff tries to talk to you. He has to be present.

Does not trust anyone else but the two of you with your children.

The softest you'll ever see him is playfighting with your children!

She's also afraid of men because she was surrounded by failing relationships with bad examples of harsh husbands including her own biological father who verbally abused her and her mother during her childhood. She also has severe social anxiety as well.

-Your foster family was absolutely massive, more than twenty members, and made up from the heroes of humanity’s past and literal gods.

-You were very skittish around them, even now after a year of being with them, you avoided large gatherings unless if you were right by the door, able to slip away at a moment’s notice, and you were only willing to spend time with the women, Brunnhilde, Goll, and the other Valkyries, Eve, Aphrodite, Kali, Parvati, and Durga.

-Some of your father and big brother figures, as they called themselves that were rather jealous, seeing you sitting with and actually socializing with the women, and when any of them would try to approach you would get tense and quiet.

-You were very hesitant in large groups, even at school, having only one or two friends, both girls, who were very supportive and gentle with you and never berated you and wouldn’t let anyone else bully you.

-Your family noticed your longing looks when you would peek out into the backyard, seeing all of them having fun, you wanted to join them so badly, but if any of them would say anything to you, inviting you out, you would duck back inside.

-You had a hard time voicing your opinions and wants as well, just willing to take what’s been given to you, if any of the girls took you out shopping you would wear the outfits they would pick out with no arguments, even if you didn’t like it.

-The day you invited Eve to your therapy session was a breakthrough moment, as she was able to learn why you were so skittish.

-Turns out your biological dad was very abusive to both you and your mother, screaming, hitting, and mentally abusing the both of you until he up and left. Then when your mom started dating, all the men she brought home were similar to your dad, abusive, just not physically.

-You were taken from your mother after you ran from her and her newest boyfriend, who told her that he would only stay if he could have you too, and both were arrested, and you never cared to see either of them again.

-You gave Eve permission to tell the others, after your therapy session and after she took you to boba, telling you to get whatever flavor you wanted, and you had another breakthrough, finally voicing a want, albeit small.

-You hid under your bed when you got home, afraid of their reactions as you heard many of them shouting in anger downstairs. You were so terrified you were going to be treated badly again by these men, despite them being nothing but nice to you this past year.

-After a few hours you finally went downstairs, feeling kind of hungry but also on edge, as nobody had come up to see you, mainly because Eve told them not to, so you wouldn’t get overwhelmed.

-You rounded a corner and bumped into the chest of (father/brother figure) and your breath hitched, taking a step back in fear.

-Adam and Eve- Immediately his arms wrapped around you, holding you close as you froze, eyes wide in fear before tears were quick to well. You couldn’t remember the last time you had a hug so warm, so full of love. Your arms trembled as they slowly lifted, stunning everyone behind Adam, and wrapped around his torso, hugging him back as the first sob ripped from your lips, sagging into his embrace. He just hugged you tighter, stroking your hair gently, lowering you to your knees as he could feel your whole body shaking, not wanting you to fall and hurt yourself. Eve came over and hugged you from behind, resting her head on top of your own, helping her husband calm you down, a smile on her face as she knew you were on the road to recovery.

-Hades- His hand reached out and cupped your face, “You okay?” he was gentle, thumb brushing across your blanched cheek as your breath stuttered slightly, freezing in place. His eyes narrowed, seeing how scared you actually were before he took a step closer, his hand smoothing along the back of your head and the other encircling your shoulders, hugging you close to him. You froze, a soft gasp escaping you as you felt no pain, only warmth and comfort; your eyes slowly closed from the feeling, it felt so nice, so safe. He felt you relax, only slightly, but it was a win in not only his book, but your whole family’s book, seeing you accepting the embrace.

-Buddha- Seeing your fear, against his better judgement, he quickly embraced you, holding you close, not able to stand you looking at him in fear any longer. Your eyes went wide before immediately softening and filling with tears, a soft sniffle leaving you. He was so warm, his arms felt huge around you and it made you feel like he was blocking everything out with his embrace, all your fears and emotions. He flinched only slightly when he felt your arms moving to go as far around his torso as possible, hugging him back as the smallest content sigh managed to escape your lips as you closed your eyes.

-Odin- His hand was massive, but so gentle as he cupped your face, checking your nose that was just a bit red, making sure that you didn’t hurt yourself, “Are you all right?” you knew his voice was deep and powerful, hearing it often when he would yell at Loki or Odin or anyone else acting up, but it was so soft, so gentle with you. Your eyes were wide in fear, but softened just slightly as his thumb rubbed your cheek gently. Your gaze shifted from him, looking a bit shy before you gave a small nod. His hand lifted and ruffled your hair gently, surprising you on how gentle he was with you before telling you to go the kitchen to get food which you nodded, giving a shadow of a smile.

-Poseidon- He was silent and still, looking just a bit like you, like a deer in headlights, which was rather amusing to see, some laughter rising behind him before he was quick to regain his composure, looking only a bit embarrassed before he lifted a hand to the top of your head, patting affectionately, “Dinner is in the kitchen, make sure you eat to keep healthy.” You nodded softly, looking still a bit nervous, but his touch was gentle and his words, at least while speaking to you, was gentle, because he turned to yell at Loki who was teasing, him, Poseidon looking a bit embarrassed.

-Loki- He immediately hid the sword he was holding behind his back, “Y/N~ fancy seeing you here- oh this- this is nothing!” your eyes had gone to the sword in slight confusion before giving you a bright grin, trying to play it off. Odin then shouted from the living, “Loki get back here! You’re not going to do anything against Y/N’s – oh, hello Y/N.” you looked between the two of them, confused before more appeared, fighting to get the sword from Loki, and from their arguing, you learned that he wanted to go and deal with your parents and all the men who did you wrong. You had to admit it was rather funny to see Loki fighting against the rest of your family until he made a good argument that you might feel safer if they were all dealt with. You were shocked by his words as he looked at you and you shook your head, silently telling him no and he instantly gave up, coming over to hug you, pouting only slightly, but you sighed softly in relief, not wanting him to hurt others for you.

I often see people describe Spider as a neglected child. Do you think that is totally accurate? Would Norm and the other scientists have set rules and boundaries? If Lo’ak and Spider did something stupid together would Jake punish both of them? What would a scene like this look like?

I don't think Spider was PHYSICALLY neglected, as in the adults always made sure he had food, water, medical care, and a safe place to sleep. But was Spider EMOTIONALLY neglected? Yes, I think so. The High Ground comics don't go into much detail about Spider's relationship with the people who raised him, the McCoskers, but what little we do see is nothing like the love and care Jake and Neytiri have for their children. I definitely don't think McCosker ever abused him, and I'm sure the other humans would've stepped in if he ever physically neglected him, but I one hundred percent believe the McCoskers emotionally neglected Spider. When Jake decided to move the Omaticaya and the allied humans to High Camp, Spider was packed and ready to go, and he didn't seem to care about never seeing his foster family again. Same with McCosker. McCosker was annoyed with him for trying to run away with Kiri, but he didn't really seem to care that Spider would prefer to live with the Na'vi and loyal humans over his foster family. If a kid is willing to leave behind the people who raised him for 14ish years without even saying goodbye, there is clearly something wrong with the relationship between the kid and the family. That emotional connection, knowing that there's an adult who loves you and would help you if you were in danger, just wasn't there for Spider like all the other child characters have.

(it seriously kills me that every time another child character was in danger, there was an adult rushing to rescue them concerned about their wellbeing, but when Spider was in danger, the only ones who did anything about it were A. the other child characters, which didn't end well :( and B. the war criminal who needed a 3-hour movie to realize he actually does care about his son)

As for the scientists, I'm sure they cared about Spider and made an effort to teach him things (I headcanon that Norm is the one who taught him to read and write and other basic human stuff while the Sully kids taught Spider the Na'vi stuff) but at the end of the day, they weren't his guardians and weren't responsible for raising him, teaching him rules, and disciplining him. That would fall to McCosker, and as far as I can tell with McCosker, it looks like he just gave up on raising Spider and lets him do whatever he wants as long as he comes home to sleep at night. We could speculate that maybe McCosker was a better parent when Spider was younger, but based off of how one of Spider's earliest appearances in the movie is him running around in the jungle with unkempt, matted hair and his only adult supervision there because he was with the Sully kids, we can guess that McCosker wasn't always that invested in raising Spider.

When it comes to discipline, I don't think Jake would feel like it's appropriate for him to discipline Spider and would prefer to leave it to McCosker. That's what he did in the comics when the boys were in trouble for exploring the battlefield. Jake makes it clear in both the comic and the movie that he does NOT view himself as a parental figure to Spider, and thus he's not responsible for disciplining him when he fucks up.

I'm very curious to see if Jake's relationship to Spider is different in A3. Since Spider went through literal torture to keep High Camp safe and ran back into a battlefield with zero hesitation to help Jake find Kiri and Tuk, I wonder if Jake will decide to properly look after Spider instead of just letting him hang out with his kids. I've seen some folks say Jake's "a son for a son" line is meant to symbolize Spider's adoption into the Sully family, but I don't think an adoption should happen until A. the Sullies know Spider saved Quaritch and they resolve that situation, and B. Spider and Neytiri resolve their issues.

Whatever ends up happening, I just want Spider to have the same love and protection that all the other child characters have. All children deserve to have a parent who loves and protects them, even if they have made some pretty big mistakes like saving Quaritch. If Jake can be forgiven for helping Q plan Hometree 9/11, Spider can absolutely be forgiven for only sparing his life when all his other actions opposed him.

For your modern au what if spider had something like Respiratory impairment, because he has to where that mask to breathe

Okay this is super interesting! I don't actually know enough about respiratory impairments to probably make accurate calls about this, but knowing that Spider is shown to be very athletic and strong, if I had to give him any respiratory impairment in the modern AU, I think it would be asthma.

So his inhaler would be his lifeline like his exopack is. I also don't know how the logistics of healthcare work for kids in the foster system, but I would posit that it's not that great? (I'll have to do more research into that if I decide to write a full blown post about this, but for now I'll give a short answer).

Spider's asthma irks him a lot. I think he would view it as just one more deterrent to anyone adopting him. People already tend to go for younger kids, but I'd imagine most people don't tend to go for kids with chronic health issues either as that's an additional expense to the great one of having a kid in the first place. So it bothers him a lot. I think he would get into sports and anything athletic even more so to prove that he is okay and not limited by that. Does end up with some pretty severe asthma attacks here and there though and I think only really stops pushing himself quite so hard when Kiri and Neteyam scold him for it after a particularly bad one where they legit had to rush him to the hospital. I don't think Lo'ak would scold him cause he's not the type, and honestly it probably happened while they were doing some dumb shit together, but he's incredibly shaken by it.

I think after that, both Kiri and Neteyam would basically beg their father to somehow get them inhalers they can carry around in case Spider ever needs it and he either doesn't have his in the moment or it runs out. Again, I don't know how the logistics of that would work, but let's just imagine it works out.

Lo'ak for his part does a shit ton of research on what to do in case of such attacks until he feels actually useful and prepared were Spider to have an attack again. He'd probably start being more careful with Spider, just being more attention to his breathing whenever they're out and about and doing something physical.

I'd be intrigued about Neytiri's reaction to Spider's condition is in this AU. I mean I think in this AU Neytiri wouldn't have as much violent trauma that colors her experience towards Spider, but there's probably still something there that makes her hold him at arms' length. But she is definitely a healer in some way even in this AU so I think she'd take care of him if she noticed he was having a hard time. She'd probably be a bit gruff about it, just unceremoniously tugging him behind her without explanation, sitting him down and rubbing some poultice or something she's made across his chest and whatnot. These are probably some of the only soft moments he has with Neytiri, and despite hating feeling weak or being seen as such, I think he would really enjoy these moments.

Those are all my thoughts on this for now, but it was fun to think about! Thanks for the ask and sorry I only got to it now

Chapter Twenty-six

(Human AU)

Sophie and Keefe met in the children's hospital when they were little. Because of how long they were confined to the four walls of the hospital, they became very close during their stay.

As the years pass, they wind up being in the same classroom together due to their physical conditions. This makes their bond deepen.

But are they able to handle when life gets tough, throwing problems and complications their way?

"Where's your parents?" Keefe asked, plopping on the edge of the bed next to Sophie.

"Visiting Jolie," she murmured. "She would have been twenty today."

"Oh...," he whispered. "How are they holding up?"

"They're taking it a bit harder this year. I asked if they wanted me to come, and they said it'd be best if I stayed home this time."

She scooted over on the bed to make room for him. He slid his legs under the covers next to her.

"That makes sense." He reached over to grab one of the extra books on the nightstand. "How are you doing with it?"

She shrugged. "I'm ok. I never even got a chance to meet her before she died."

"Yeah, but... is it ever hard knowing you could've had a sister."

"I do have a sister," she insisted. "I just think think of her has my guardian angel."

Keefe smiled. "I like that." He let her snuggle into his arms before asking, "How did they end up adopting you, anyway."

"They had actually ended up signing up for fostering before Jolie died. So when they got a call that I needed somewhere to go, they didn't have the heart to turn me down. I stayed with them for a few months, and they ended up fully adopting me."

"Do you know anything about your biological parents?"

"I know my bio mother gave me up because my bio father had died before giving birth. Other than that, I don't."

The two of them sat with each other reading. Sophie moved her head out of the crook of his neck to say, "What exactly... are we, right now?" Cause we're not just friends anymore, but we've... never established anything."

"Well... I wouldn't mind being together," he eventually spoke. "What do you want?"

"I wouldn't mind it either. I'd just have to ask my parents if we'd be allowed to." She fiddled with her fingers. "What about you? What will your parents say about it."

He snorted. "Cute that you think they could care less about my love life."

Sophie's face fell. "Oh. Alright then."

They went back to reading their books for the time being. After a few hours of reading and talking later, there was silent shuffling in the kitchen. Her parents were home.

"Hey, Keefe," Sophie murmured. "I don't mean to kick you out or anything, but it might be best if you head home for today."

Keefe nodded. "I understand."

They walked out to the living room. Grady and Edaline were putting their things away. They waved the two kid and went to the couch.

Sophie said goodbye to Keefe, then went to join her parents. Grady strangled her in a hug. There was a little sniffle. "We love you, kiddo."

"I love you too," she whispered back.

A few more sniffles and a sob from Edaline. They held onto her like a lifeline for an hour or two. When it was time to make dinner, she joined her mom in the kitchen.

As they sat down to eat, Sophie had to ask, "Am I... allowed to date?"

Grady seemed surprised with the question. Edaline had a soft grin hidden on her face.

"Umm," he pondered. "I don't know. You're still pretty young."

Edaline elbowed him. "Well, don't you think it depends on who it is, dear."

"I suppose," he admitted. "Are you just curious, or is there someone particular?"

Sophie looked down at her plate and nodded."

Grady raised his eyebrows. "Oh. Well. Who is it? Do we know him?"

Sophie nodded again. She picked at her food. "It's Keefe."

Edaline let slip a little giggle. Grady turned to her. "Do you know something I don't?"

Edaline shoved another piece of food in her mouth. "I didn't say anything." To Sophie, she said, "For the record, I am perfectly fine with it."

Grady lowered his voice to a hush. "I don't know, Eda. They're in eighth grade."

"Didn't you just say it depends on who it is?" She asked. "They've known each other forever."

"I know. That's the issue. I don't want her to get her heart broken."

"Honey." She reached up to cup his face. "It's Keefe. Do you really think he'd hurt her?"

He sighed in defeat. "I guess not." He turned back to his daughter. "I... suppose that it's ok."

Sophie smiled. "Thank you."

"Of course. Just... be responsible, ok? "

"We will," she promised.

After dinner, when she was in bed, she texted Keefe.

'My parents said it's ok!'

'Great! Now, I can officially say, will you be my girlfriend?"

Sophie couldn't help giggling.

'Yes. Yes, I will.'

'Alright, Foster, goodnight. See you at school tomorrow.'

OKAY HERE’S MY OC LORE

because apparently it’s relevant now?-

Let’s start in early November with gangle blog.

I, new to tumblr and not wanting to try and get in on something I had assumed had been going on for a long time and didn’t want to seem like an intruder, made the least intrusive character possible. This was also about the time where the “canon character” blogs were having some issues with the oc blogs, due to Tiger.

So I made Easton West.

He’s just a guy on lunch break who found the circus’s computer and can’t really do anything but interact via Developer console. No angst, just a guy who likes sandwiches. He befriended Gangle pretty quick. I also had him show up occasionally on Sun blog, iirc. He’s shy, he has no friends, but he cares a lot for people and always wants the best for those he cares for. He’s pretty “sunshine child”, but can be serious and assertive.

Then Gangle’s Ferris wheel/hammer anon plot started. And Jax DIED. And Easton was trying to save Jax and barely failed, and Gangle was in danger and soidjeieidjdie it was a messsssssss

Easton augments the computer with more monitors and PC’s and such, so he can actually affect things.

This is about the point where I threw my inhibitions out the window and gave Easton depression. This will come up later, and it became very severe over time. So tw for that.

At this point, Easton is friends with both Gangle and Sun, but due to the Ferris wheel stuff, he actually probably ended up befriending sun more.

Time for a new character. Easton mentions a coworker of his, after Sun tells him that he needs help running this thing. Sun tells him to find her, and thus we are introduced to Northa South.

Northa, like Easton, is shy and has no friends. She’s kind of a doormat, and doesn’t have a family because the foster system sucks and thus BAM childhood of inconsistency and physical…uh…ab—e. Not fun.

They hit it off instantly, and have a very sweet dynamic of “oh my gosh you’re amazing and I will give you all the affection”. While Easton is somewhat more protective, they’re pretty much on equal footing dynamic-wise.

Yes, they fall in love and start dating.

Before that, though, we introduce Dusk. Basically, Sun checks the heck out at one point and Easton saves everyone by bringing her back, but it’s a glitchy mess. Due to this, post-northa, they make a “backup plan” just in case the sun leaves. Northa being a graphic designer and Easton a coder, they can accomplish much more together than they would apart, and it shows with Dusk.

Dusk is the backup plan, a third celestial. She is summoned when Sun leaves again, and is just a sweetheart. Buuuut people don’t really like her because she accidentally adopts Sun’s tiny paper crane (who is named BlueJay now) and is…just…not Sun.

Easton and Northa attempt to help her, and are some of the best friends she has.

…And then Gangle dies.

…And thus the angst begins anew!

Northa and Easton kind of…crack from stress. Northa puts on the headset. Easton follows suit, but leaves behind a few things, including creating Dusk’s domain and the “Encyclopedia Poetica Circo”, a comprehensive and updating collection of files, functions, mechanics, character sheets, art, code, staff files, etc. for the circus and the company he worked for.

So, who are these two now? The Lord and Lady of Compass Manor, in Dusk’s domain. Dusk’s domain functions as an alternate, dream-esque dimension where logic runs on “what makes sense for the character/emotions?” (Ex: when someone is depressed, oftentimes it will begin to rain.) Each area runs on symbolism (Ex: Northeast’s area is symbolic of and thus will evoke the associated feelings of their innocent, genuine love.)

Dusk is very grieved. Sun shows up, drama, and meets a girl from Candleton named Alpenglow, who symbolizes the excitement of adventure. Uuunfortunately, after snapping at the amnesiac Lord and Lady, she leaves Alpen in the depression forest (“the Depths”) to die by accident, which traumatizes the already abandonment-issues-ridden child. Alpen is saved by Dusk and Sigil, who seem to be friends now, although Dusk had to magically lobotomize Insanity first. They end up on better terms later.

Sun calls up Easton’s ex, Lattia Tudor, and her business partner/best friend, Lonn Gitud. They’re here now.

Alpen quickly befriends and is adopted by Silhou, although Sun also still kinda adopted her it’s complex Sun and Silhou haven’t had the interaction where they deal with that yet

sun is missing, Dusk and sigil are looking for her.

…You’re probably realizing that there’s a character or two that I haven’t mentioned.

Meet Kit.

Kit is an 16 year old inter dimensional magical girl and one of two bits of madoka crossover we’ve had.

Kit started out as a five second joke character named Tea Anon, who had a conversation with a semi-dead Hammer in the void about tea.

Tea anon was SUPPOSED to just be my sona wearing anon glasses, thus why our personalities are somewhat similar, but she ended up as her own character with her own angst and motivations over time.

Tea anon ends up as Hammer’s…like, only friend. Also, Origami gets roped into this. They’re a team! Awwww…. Sure hope nothing goes wrong here.

they fight Kirsten, aka H.N. Elly, a witch from canon, who ends up being one of Tea’s old teammates. They end on good terms.

Hammer eventually…gets very very intoxicated, and Ori disappears. So Tea is on her own.

She witches out. And takes off the anon glasses, and thus her disguise as Tea anon. Her name is Kitsune and she wished to save those she loved, but failed. Her old teammates are witches or dead, her new teammates are gone, awww frick.

She and hammer have an emotional conversation, where Kit says she believes he is a good person, genuinely, because he cares about changing. She extends him a handshake. He does not shake her hand.

He proposes to chaos, and Kit as the eldritch horror she is crashes the wedding against her will, the grief-hungry witch side wanting to cause as much horror as possible. Generally, the inhuman monster is called Aite, the Odd Fox Witch.

hammer gets Kit back by the power of hugs and friendship. Awww.

General Notes

May I introduce to you my headcanons for Duke and Danny

Let’s start with Danny cause he changed the most [kinda]

The Fentons are a mixed Filipino-Cuban family [Maddie-Jack] b/c I wanted to [I am not Filipino or Cuban so if I mess up somewhere please tell me!] Jazz, Danny and Maddie all grew up learning and speaking Tagalog

Maddie and Alicia are Filipino-American & 3rd gen immigrants, their family name is Palad

Alicia’s farm was something their aunt had owned then later left to Alicia since her kids didn’t want it

Jack’s mom Olivia nee Castro was Cuban and his dad Rupert Fenton was white [that’s the Fenton-Nightingale side]

Danny is transmasc and has been presenting as such for awhile now

As like a general assumption, the Fentons aren't Horrible vivisect their child kind of parents in most of my AUs, they just aren't perfect half the time

Now onto Duke!

Duke is Nigerian, with both Elaine and Gnomon being centuries old for the most part [depends on AU but before Europeans started their bullshit]

Duke speaks an old dialect of Hausa that Elaine and Gnomon had grown up with and one he grew speaking it along with English

His adopted Dad Doug Thomas is Black, and he has an Aunt and Uncle Tracy & Alvin Jackson who live and in Bludhaven

Duke’s cousin [who’s cannon] Jay Jackson is a decade or so older than Duke and his legal guardian after his parents couldn’t do so

Duke still lives with the Wayne’s sometimes [they were his foster family until Jay could get custody] just jumping between each

The We Are Robin gang are still together but no longer as a group of vigilantes but as friends

I call them The Flock and they each have their own bird nicknames, Izzy|Fieldfare, Riki|-Galerinda, Dax|Alaemon, Andre|Blackbird, Dracy-Joanna “DJ”|Sparrow

They had another member Troy|Warbler he died during the Robin Wars when he was trying to defuse a bomb, it was rigged to blow anyway

Danny does this thing where he just stares at Duke for prolonged periods of time

Duke thought he’d be bothered by it but he actually likes it alot, for Danny to just look at him like he’s his only light

Danny’s always had dysphoria around his body, especially after he started to become more ghostly

Duke always thought he was beautiful and would tell him as such, he loved to watch Danny blush like a fool at his words

I’ve always thought of Danny as a romantic, he’s the type of person to do anything for his partner

He thrives off of physical affection and word of affirmation

Duke is also kinda romantic but he finds it difficult to do physical things, when he truly loves a person he holds them alot, taking their hand, hugging them, things like that

He loves to get things from people he loves, and acts of service

“Do you want me to drive you to school?” Jake asked, handing Jamie her water bottle and backpack. “Skip the bus.”

Jamie stood from the small bench in the hallway, her shoes neatly tied, and she accepted the items from Jake.

She shook her head. “Caro is taking me,” she told him with a broad smile on her face. “She’s dropping Dalia off, and they offered to take me. I already told Jas.”

Jake grinned. “Before or after her coffee?”

Jamie snorted. “After,” she said incredulously. “I don’t have a death wish.”

Jake laughed. Even though Jas’ morning moods had evened out significantly since she left the Navy, it was still best not to speak to her before her first hit of caffeine set in.

At the sound of a car horn, he opened his arms, offering Jamie a hug. She stepped right into his embrace, leaning her head on his shoulder. 

It had been five years since Jake and Jas first started fostering Jamie, and four since they adopted her. The physical affection happened slowly, but now, at 13, she gave it freely and willingly.

The horn sounded again, and Jake let go of Jamie. He brushed a loose coil of her dark hair behind her ear, but it bounced back to its original position. “Be good, kid.”

She opened the door and revealed Caro’s car parked on the street, Dalia hanging out of the passenger side window, waving at her friend and honorary uncle.

Jamie sped down the driveway. “See you later, Dad,” she shouted at him, climbing into the backseat and closing the car door.

Jake barely registered the car driving away or the front door hitting his back as it swung and tried to close.

Jamie had called him dad.

It was the first time he’d heard her say it, and his heart pounded in his chest. He had accepted, been okay with the fact that Jamie would likely never call him anything but his name. Jake wasn’t her biological father, just as Jas wasn’t her biological mother.

He sucked in a deep breath and headed back inside the house, where he still had half an hour before he needed to leave for base.

He was in a daze as he picked up the phone and called Jas, unsure if she could even answer in the middle of her shift.

“What’s up?” She asked when she picked up on the fifth ring.

“Jamie called me dad.”

The sound of rustling papers stopped, and the line went quiet. Jake heard Jas’ breathing, but not much else.

“What?”

“She called me dad,” he repeated. “Jamie called me dad.”

Jas snorted, a sound dangerously similar to that of their daughter. “You sure?”

“Yes,” he told her firmly. “Caro probably heard it, too.”

He didn’t know how he expected Jas to react, but it definitely wasn’t her laughter carrying through the phone. He’d known her for almost ten years, and they’d been married for six. He should have been able to read her by now, but he couldn’t. She surprised him at every turn, even a decade into their relationship.

Her laughter eventually died down. “It was probably a one time thing,” she said. “Don’t get your hopes up.”

Jake knew she was right. The chances of Jamie calling him dad again were slim, but he couldn’t help the tentative hope that surged at the thought of her being comfortable enough to see him as her father in more than just a legal sense.

“Just wait,” he warned, a smile creeping onto his features. “One of these days, she’ll call you mom, and we’ll have a very different conversation.”

“Keep telling yourself that.”

“You’re infuriating, Doc.”

She chuckled on the other end of the line, and Jake could picture her beautiful features as she did. “You’re one to talk, Seresin.”

A week later, Jasmine Lane burst into tears when Jamie called her mom for the first time.

Wild Kratts Headcanons: Aviva and Zach Part 2

These head canons are more family related. Part 1 is right here.

I don't know how many of you watched a show called 'Growing Up Creepie' when you were young, but i recently found out Aviva and the main character have the same voice actor (Athena Karkanis) so her headcanons are slightly inspired by that show.

Anyway lets get into it

Aviva was adopted by two loving parents at a young age

She was one of the many children her parents fostered or adopted

Her mom is a physical therapist

Her dad is a science teacher

She has two older adopted siblings

I can't decide if they would be two brothers or a brother and sister but they are about 4-6 years older than her

She has lots of cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, etc

Her dad’s side is afro latino. He and her grandmother made sure she learned spanish

Her mothers side is Asian

She is very close with her grandmother as well

She and her siblings spent summer at her grandmother’s house all the time growing up

She was homeschooled until middle school age

Her parents sent her to science camp so she could develop friendships with people her age with similar interests

Obviously that's where her and Zach met

Zach grew up with his biological mother and father

He is an only child

His family is pretty small in general tho

It's just him, his parents, his grandparents, and maybe one or two cousins, one of those cousins being Paisley Paver

He doesn't see his extended family often, they usually just send him money for special occasions instead of actually coming to see him

He’s closer to his mom than his dad, hence why he’s always shouting “mommy!” in the show when he gets scared

His parents owned the tech company that Zach now owns

He was close with Martin and Chris as kids and thought of them as his brothers when they were young (before they fell out too lol)

He was very spoiled since he was the only child and his parents are very rich

Low key wanted a sibling but also didn't like the thought of having to share stuff with them

Though his parent bought him anything he wanted they weren't there emotionally for him as they should have been

They love him and everything but they only show their affection to him when he does something to impress them

His parents were away on business a lot so his nannies were basically his parents

I think they would kinda give the same vibes as the Blossoms from the show 'Riverdale'

Zach’s parents didn't know who Aviva was until they were in high school

They were constantly berating him for not having any friends and he accidentally brought her up

He regrets telling them about her tho because they constantly compare her to him

Probably said some nasty comments about her being adopted too

Aviva’s parents know who Zach is, they know him very well actually

Sometimes when Zach’s parents were away he would stay at Aviva’s house

He lived in a huge and dark mansion and it got lonely sometimes, especially being a young child by himself

They fed him, gave him a place to sleep when he needed it, and treated him as if he were their child

Aviva’s siblings loved having him around

Him and Aviva would stay up all night playing and swapping invention ideas

Zach low key wanted Aviva’s parents to adopt him

He also never told his parents that he was staying over at her house

Hey, I saw that ask you answered about how Custody would change if Spider had been taken out of the country and put in witness protection program and I wanted to take it a step further.

What if in this AU, there is a "Pandora" but it's an island or jungle region that remained uncolonized and it's still controlled by the indigenous population, basically what I did in Blood is Thicker Than Water. What if, for whatever reason (maybe someone with a grudge against Quaritch pulling strings to screw him over even more) Spider was sent to or near Pandora and was raised alongside the Sully kids. Not as their actual foster kid, but maybe more of a situation where Spider's foster family lived close enough to Pandora's border for Spider to get close to them, or maybe the foster parents are friendly scientists who visit Pandora regularly to study the plantlife there, so that's how Spider gets close. (oh wait, the friendly scientist foster parent thing actually makes more sense, cause you could just say they were Paz's friends and that's why Spider was sent to live with them, despite him being an American and the son of Quaritch). Bonus points if you keep the backstory about Quaritch committing war crimes in Pandora in the past.

How would things have been different if Quaritch had to track him down to a jungle to get him back, a jungle full of people who hate his guts and have been telling Spider how horrible he is since he was little. And in the AU, Spider still has the same calmer personality like in Custody, but he would now have the physical prowess and survival knowledge that canon-Spider has, which could make him a lot harder to capture.

Ooh now we're really getting into BITTWxCustody crossover territory! (Every other day I think about doing collabs/crossovers, I just can't figure out a way it would work in practice.)

I could see Spider's personality being quite different from Custody if he wasn't raised by the McCoskers: he'd be a bit more in tune with BITTW Spider and original movie Spider, especially if he was raised in some kind of Pandora. But given he'd still have had the same 7 initial years upbringing with Q and P then its fair to expect him to still be calmer than both those Spiders as you said.

There would definitely be Home Alone vibes with Spider turning his local environment against the intruders! I would imagine in this case that his foster/adoptive parents and potentially also the Sullys (depending on how close he was) and other residents might resist the intruders. It could get ugly fast as Quaritch and co would come armed with guns and I assume tribes who live in jungle areas irl don't favour/have access to those kinds of weapons. If anything, they'd be used to being isolated and not having to deal with outsiders. So I could picture a lot of people getting harmed or killed if they tried to step between Q and Spider. However, I do also think Spider and company could make it very challenging for Q to locate him and if they were able to radio for help, then it could be a bit of a cat and mouse chase/race against time while the authorities are rushing in. <3

After the last Spellman sibling ask.....I can't help but think that the siblings were parentified in a way.

It's clear the scientists and the omaticaya didn't really look after Spider the way they should have, so the siblings likely ended up playing the role of his caretaker.

Like the siblings had to have spent the majority of their time at Hell's Gate (probably started living there at some point) and the rest of the clan just...didn't stop them? Foster/Adoptive dad or not, Norm seems like a babysitter rather than a parent.

So the siblings raised Spider.

If the siblings are close in age to the recoms, that means the twins couldn't have been older than 5 or 6 during the war, and the little brother was probably like 2. Na'vi kids develop faster than humans, they are fully grown by 15-17, but they were still kids.

Quaritch is probably the first adult (physically he's practically the same age as the twins, but still) to actually care about Spider's wellbeing, and to an extent, theirs as well.

you're so right and the quaritch bit made me think.

like, as soon as he really starts tapping into his dad brain, the more he starts to see the siblings as kids, spiders big siblings, his kids. at first he was glad to let them take over most of spider's up keep, but they broke him away from the RDA, he started to question why these kids were acting as glorified parents to who they consider a brother.

that's when he starts stepping in more.

he climbs up into the trees with them, laying off whoever on shift, and watching spider, watching all of them, sleep. it starts after one of those days where they had to travel back to base and pretend to hate each other for hours, put up Ardmore, then travel all the way back into the woods. he knows the kids could watch spider, but he knows they can and should sleep. so he works his way up the tree, finding one of them barely awake, tinkering with something, fighting to stay up until it was time for shift change. before the kid could even say anything, quaritch was weasling next to them, easing them to lay against his shoulder, and taking spider up into his arms. he had the other two punks curled around him by the time he really settled down. after that, it just becomes normal for the shifts to be split 4 ways, with wuaritch taking the first 1/3 of the night (he never sleeps as much as the kids anyway) and the last 2/3 being split between the siblings. quaritch has also just become a pillow to 4 children (they're kids to him, nothing can change his mind), and he's surprisingly content with that

he not only takes care of spider so the siblings can let down their guard a little, but he takes care of them as well, and they don't really know how to feel about it.

Scike Household scott isnt vaccinated for anything hes actively rabid(from like. fang he has shark rabies) but hes just so unhealthy he lived. medical anomaly. if they remove the rabies he dies. he probably has anthrax poisoning as well. caught from fang of course. nobody from roti is scientifically possible. except brick hes just the normal guy. after the scike breakup mike probably adopted fang. thats their second dog. he got hit by a car when he was a puppy if you say he looks like a shark with legs youre insensitive and should kill yourself i think mike and chase meet once but only cause a Scike Fight To The Death happened in a restaurant he was in. he bet a quarter on mike probably Grave Dog

you're so fucking funny actually. they once tried to vaccinate him and it went. not well (17 dead 182939 injured) he has the shark version of every disease ever. shark tuberculosis, shark tetanus, shark appendicitis. literally everything. he's totally healthy and fine but it's genuinely shocking. biohazard to sea life. brick is the normal guy but that's scarier to everyone else. he isn't that scary but he has somehow been able to withstand being near everyone else which is impressive. physically he's fine but he is the strongest person ever mentally. they can't tell if he's normal or if he's just better at hiding how weird he is. and the fang concept is so funny. hysterical. that's their foster dog. you think it's not a dog? well he thinks you should kill yourself actually. he didn't have to train him to attack gingers he always does that already.

mike and chase meet because the scike fight ended up with them trying to drown eachother on the beach. he goes outside and sees this group of people standing around splashing water and one guy sitting above it and is very confused. he asks what's going on and Scott is under the water. help girl he is floating out to sea. actively being drowned. chase bets the 20 cents and the lint he had in his pocket on mike. lightning is the only person ever betting on Scott because "he keeps losing so surely he's gonna win soon!" (he never wins)

Context to them being together because you know how utterly garbage there relationship is in canon, I’m throwing that away, they get character development and time to think about there actions and not pure hatred to each other and Shadow didn’t kill Infinite’s whole family, they’re alive and well

the only think Shadow did wrong was insult him and damage his face but its been like 2 decades he regrets that alot

Something something like 20 years later and the Phantom Ruby is just found by Shadow and Meg, Infinite reappears when they touch it. He’s kept a secret for the time being because saying that the dude that caused mass destruction that was defeated by the power of friendship is back may cause panic. Also Infinite is now called Zero again, he doesn't want to be Infinite anymore

also they are legally married for legal benefits (also love but its funny to say legal benefits)

Shadow’s “son”

Meg’s Shadow’s adopted/foster son when he found some random child in like a garbage can when he was 3, he is 15 now. The original plan was to keep him until his parents where found but 12 years later that ain’t happening. His attitude is mimicking Shadow’s but not in a cold distant way more of a joking manner, he can be seen as a dick but those who know him  know he’s a cool dude. Howls only friend and at this point he’s basically her cousin/family at this point, they are really close. He’s basically besties with Rouge and sees her as a girlie more then an aunt along with Ruth, they gossip to each other. He’s real close with his dad when it was just him but recently he’s felt like a roommate living with a family.

His biological child

Seven is my favorite fankid I love her so much. She’s Zero and Shadows biological child like she is there blood, she came from a tube. She’s beloved and is sheltered by both her parents so much. In public she is with Shadow and is said to be another foster, since he already has Meg it’s convincing, and Zero is still considered as Infinite, along with if she’s known to be the daughter of 2 feared individuals he will be so hated and feared for that reason so it’s best not to tell. She is considered an obedient and naïve child, she fallows her parents directions and respects when they say no, she doesn’t question anything, and doesn’t really think about it. The extent of her powers are unknown and those who know about her fear she can cause some real damage, right now the most she can do is phase through things like walls and project holograms, gladly she doesn’t show any signs of these powers being unstable but the knowledge she has more potential is feared, she has been given inhibitor rings to try and limit her abilities but for the most part she doesn’t wear them and only does when she’s around the Master Emerald or a chaos emerald. Her age is unknown but she is considered ageless but is still physically a child, at this point she probably around physically 13 but her actual age is like 4 when she got out of the tube.

Backstory time because she’s special - She was an experiment made by Eggman as one of his last projects to leave a lasting mark of fear, no one knows her purpose or why she was made or even if she’ll turn evil or not. As a joke I’m making the thought process behind it being Orbot and Cubot shipping, suggesting it to Eggman, Eggman saying that’s stupid and turning he idea down, Sage saying they’re a couple/the powers they both possess can create a powerful creature, Eggman thinks that’s a great idea and Sage takes all the credit. When she was discovered by Zero and Shadow, Eggman kinda went “yea take them I’ll be back when they’re older” and never came back, Zero was convinced she was one of his family’s kids that where kidnapped or something and eventually it was pronounced she was his kid and the edge lords where like “ok what now”. So they have a kid now and are in constant fear Eggman will come back and steal her.

-Seven considers Meg a brother but Meg doesn’t consider her his sister

- Her friends are kind of just Ruth and Ringer (Sonic’s kid I’m making his stuff next)

-Sometimes she’s confused if she’s a foster or Shadows real daughter because how much he tell people that

From the character solidifying asks for Kimmuriel if you’re into it? 2, 4, 23, 33, 35, 46, 49

2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?

So, this is going to be a two-part conversation about firstly, his relationship with K’yorl, and then I’m gonna roll over into discussing Kimmuriel’s relationship–or lack thereof–with functionally an OC I made that is Kimmuriel’s mother, playing on an old headcanon of mine that a lot of the psionic commoners adopted into the house are descendents of House Masq’il’yr that sought refuge in House Oblodra after it was destroyed (and I do run with this headcanon as if Kimmuriel is one of those descendants).

K’yorl is, as far as I’m aware, not actually Kimmuriel’s mother, but in essence he understands her as his mother and their relationship holds similar parent-child complexities.  I think Kimmuriel hates K’yorl, but sometimes he struggles to really come to terms with the notion that she has, in her own way, profoundly damaged him and his mental health.  It’s kind of a natural throughline of how he feels about House Oblodra as a whole, not helped by the fact that K’yorl clearly favored him above her natural born sons.

As for his biological mother…He doesn’t know her.  That was the stipulation for House Oblodra fostering him, Kimmuriel’s mother could never see or speak to her child again.  She’s part of where he inherited his talent and while she harbors the same raw power as him, she lacks the control–she’s a wilder.  I don’t think Kimmuriel would have any interest in meeting his mother.

4. What type of discipline was your character subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?

Strict, extremely strict.  Kimmuriel was, firstly, not born of K’yorl, though he does have blood from the main family imo.  Secondly, with the hc I run with, his psionics are borne partially from a line of wilders, meaning his psionics could, in K’yorl’s mind, have the propensity for overflowing and causing problems.  Kimmuriel likely doesn’t remember any discipline he underwent particularly fondly.

23. What do they want from a partner? What do they think and feel of sex?

I think Kimmuriel craves understanding above anything else.  He doesn’t want someone who looks down on him or hates him for what he can do, but is willing to understand and respect him.

As for sex, I think Kimmuriel likes it fine, but I don’t think it’s in any sense a priority in his world.

33. Do they drink? Take drugs? What about their health?

I’ve always contended that Kimmuriel rarely drinks, and likely associates strong drugs with childhood punishments.  Things that impair Kimmuriel’s psionics are likely things he tends to avoid.  In the same vein, Kimmuriel likes to keep physically healthy because it aids his ability to control and use his powers.  Psionics require, on some level, an amount of balance and wellness and Kimmuriel likely keeps on top of that as best he can.

35. Do they always rationalize errors? How do they accept disasters and failures?

Kimmuriel definitely rationalizes errors, and I feel he’s fairly calm in the face of disaster and failure, even if he’s screaming internally the whole goddamn time.

46. Is your character tall? Short? What about size? Weight? Posture? How do they feel about their physical body?

Kimmuriel is goddamn tiny.  I headcanon him as being around 4’11”-5’0”, with his weight being fairly solidly on the lower end.  I think there is some muscle definition, but it’s mild and he’s mostly just very thin.  Kimmuriel also has pretty good posture when standing, but that tends to go out the window when he sits (Kimmuriel slouches and likes to lay across couches and armchairs rather than sit properly).  I think Kimmuriel is…just okay with how he looks.

49. What about voice? Pitch? Strength? Tempo and rhythm of speech? Pronunciation? Accent?

So I’ve mentioned I do have a VA headcanon for Kimmuriel (Patrick Pedraza).  I think he’s on the lower-end of a tenor, and keeps his voice fairly level.  It’s not monotone, he’s just not showing any particularly strong emotions.  He speaks quietly but firmly, and despite being very good at speaking Common, still has a slight accent when he speaks it.  He also has a light accent when speaking Drow that’s common among psionicists of House Oblodra and House Masq’il’yr where there’s a slight upward accent on certain vowels and they roll their Rs, especially at the end of sentences.  It originated in House Masq’il’yr, formed from how they said Ghaunadaur’s name in Deep Speech, but it flowed into House Oblodra from association.

A few changes if you will, Cherry was originally going to be either Mikey's height or taller than him, nope, she's gonna be shorter that him until she starts growing at age sixteen.

Draxum will try to "fix" his mistake so physically she'll be eight, turning her ten during the movie

A lot of season two is just her finding ways to express herself (still same stuff just small shorts and extras)

I never clarified Casey and her relationship, twins! (Their sisters your honor)

Between Cherry, Casey and Shelldon, the world would end.

Casey is still trying for world domination but will have a nice spot for Cherry to be (after movie, definitely Metro Tower)

After helping defeat the Shredder, Splinter takes Casey home with them

Casey knows about Cherry's actual age and how she feels inferior to her brothers.

Draxum only said negative comments on the rooftop before tossing Leo from the roof.

Leo isn't really upset about the roof thing, he's more upset on Cherry's behalf.

Cherry sorta likes Big Mama, on one hand she's okay sometimes but on the other she's not ok.

Donnie was the one to trust Big Mama in this AU, Cherry was still learning how to do anything.

Cherry is technically on all fours when Leo goes over.

Cherry usually goes to Leo when they're jumping Roof tops

Cherry and Casey are definitely matching Disney to their family

It doesn't actually take long for Casey to be considered a Hamato since they did hang out with her before Shredder.

Brute and Lieutenant actually had a chance to gain Casey back but they decided to plan something

Foot Clan is a cult, that being said, they gain their followers through adoption and Fostering. Also being sold these kids, sometimes feeding their ideals to their own kids.

Cassandra was a Foster kid who ran from the system, later found and taken in by Brute.

She wanted to repay the duo for their care and joined the clan.

SUMMARY

Ken's Younger Sibling (regardless of what Pace says, Haru is the youngest one. Suck my left toe)

Grew up in San Diego with their two older brothers (Sibling WC in LunarCoveHQ please give us an eldest brother thank you)

Left California when they were 17 after leaving their childhood home and running away with their aunt.

Incredibly repressed person. Like truly, doesn't get enough physical affection or even words of affirmation. Truly desperately desires love and closeness and intimacy, but refuses to let anyone in.

Kind of sporty. Loves basketball, playing and watching games. Huge, and I mean HUGE Lakers fan. Enjoys running, and working out also. (Lowkey kind of buff)

Big puzzle nerd. Just loves staying indoors with their three cats, making puzzles, and fighting the cats as they hide pieces under the furniture.

That being said, adopted three (3) cats. Two were a bonded pair, and the youngest one was a "failed" foster who Haru got too attached to. One cat is a Russian Blue named Hoshi, the other bonded cat is a brown and black tabby named Yoshi, and the youngest is a black cat named Mochi (ty pace and pip for names).

Lived in Delaware for like 10+ years, and studied computer engineering. Lived with their aunt until like four years ago (2020). Then moved to Massachusetts and that's when things got real bad for them.

addiction tw // Their aunt is their parent figure. Matsui Sayuri means the absolute world to Haru. They talk often, and Sayuri was actually the first person to have an intervention with Haru when they were struggling with substance abuse. Haru is sober now. For them that looks like not drinking alcohol and not doing hard drugs, they do smoke cigarettes, but are wary about how many per day. They still struggle with their addiction, and will probably be joining a group in town to like have more support. (On a lighter note, their cats love playing with their little chips for being sober).

Struggles with their identity pretty hard, no gender identity or anything like that. They're pretty confident about that, but rather they just feel like they don't know themself, or that what they do know is not good and they don't appreciate it. Haru just feels like a shell of a person most of the time, so they try to find things that feel good for a little bit to cope. Just a mess, the one thing they do know is how much they enjoy working on cars hence their dream of owning an auto shop or becoming a mechanic. Has a TON of cars and a few bikes. Most of their cars are in storage in Massachusetts, but they brought a bike and a car with them to LC.

Knows how to do card tricks, but will not show off to just anyone, so very few people know this. But it's very likely to catch them fidgeting with cards. (Funny tid bit, in honor of growing up in a house of cards, they have a tattoo of three court jesters in reference to their brothers and them and a king and queen in reference to their parents).

Extremely carefree and self centered. Doesn't care about a lot of things, truly an unbothered icon. They will find out about the supernatural for the first time when talking to Ken (after uh years of not seeing him) and they'll be unbothered by it. Truly shrugging things off to cope. They'll panic in private and no one will know about it, thank you very much. You could fool them pretty easy about supernatural stuff, but they aren't asking, they will simmer in ignorance until they join the Coalition (which will be soon).

Has a vast knife collection, and always carried at least two. Doesn't really care about the laws on knives. To be honest, they don't care about a lot of laws. They are mere suggestions, nothing more. (which makes Ken being their older brother quite funny lol)

Please call Haru "Ken's sibling" and watch as their face morphs into utter disgust. For years, their parents compared Haru and their brothers, pitting them against one another, so the mere idea of just their whole being just being "Ken's sibling" is fully triggering.

I would say childhood friends except the Matsui's didn't really have friends? Just the Morrell's and that... crashed and burned. So like, people who Haru knew when they were in California. Their parents were well-off, so they got around.

In that same lane, people Haru has met through their travels? Haru is probably my character who has traveled the most. They have gone to a ton of states, probably went to Toronto, CA at least once, has traveled western Europe extensively, has also been to Japan on multiple occasions.

Flings that have crashed and burned? Haru is probably the last person you'd want to date because they are considerate enough as a partner, but completely lack emotional intelligence, so things just... fall apart so easily. Or flings that will crash and burn. Or flings in general. (Daphne for flings in general)

Honestly, I think forced proximity plots will probably work best because Haru is not going out of their way to talk to people. They didn't come here to make friends.
