So I wrote a post (or rather, comment) on YT about my aromantic headcanons for Marcos but I don’t feel like restating them rn. Anyway. Aro Marcos brainrot.

I imagined a scenario where Venus ended up in a casual chat with him (somehow). She’s lovingly talking about Yuri and about love in general…and absolutely nothing is resonating with Marcos, who is getting increasingly bored. Like he doesn’t already know who everyone is into already; he doesn’t need the gory details. He has nowhere to go at the moment though so he decides to entertain the conversation and earnestly ask Venus about her crush(es).

Venus starts to pick up on this. His inquiries and responses sound distinctly genuine this time in contrast to his usual sarcastic, mocking tone.

“How do you even know when you have a crush?”

“Oh that’s easy. It’s a feeling, but a strong one…(she goes on for a while)…like a big dumb bitch but you get better at these things as you mature 💅 But it’s kinda different for everyone. A friend of mine looks like he’s sick…sicker when he’s into someone. You just start feeling and acting different around them, but you can’t help it y’know?”

It’s a much better explanation than what others have given in the past (as expected of Venus, The Romance Guru) but again. Nothing was resonating with Mercury, which means for Venus, The Romance Guru, that this was a Catastrophe. Then she comes to a shocking realization.

“Marcos, are you telling me you’ve NEVER been in love? Not even a tiny little crush?”

I am SO glad you asked (also, funny, everyone only asks about them. I don't mind)

1. So, imo, Bartylus only realized their alternate attraction for one another after falling in love. Barty is arospec so he struggled to feel the difference, meaning he thought he was in love with Evan and Regulus at the same time?? Complicated times for his poor heart. They did, however, figure out the drama, but they didn't really give each other labels. When they started dating Ev and James, they did warn of their bond and that it could get in the way of a "normal relationship". Evan, being their best friend, already knew and accepted it, but James had a bit of a hard time coming around. He did end up accepting that Barty was not too bad of a guy, so, as long as Reg and James had their alone time, he didn't mind. (Also James kinda really understands the appeal of Barty. He's hot, come on!) The boyfies really like seeing their lover happy, and it reassures them that, even if they had a falling out, Bartylus would still be there for one another. Friendship is so much more withstanding than romance, after all.

2. For Reg and Barty, their qpr doesn't really change how they used to approach their friendship before. They allow themselves to be touchy (hands around the waist, fingers under their shirts), intimate (showers together, sleeping in the same bed and cuddling), a bit romantic (they like kissing. It makes Regulus happy and Barty has a bit of an oral fixation, so having someone's lips on his makes it a good day). To Regulus, his approach to the whole relationship is completely similar to James. To an untrained eye, there is absolutely no difference between how he treats James and Barty. Barty, on the other hand...

3. Well, Barty and Evan fuck. Which is something he doesn't do with Regulus. Barty had tried, once, to initiate sex with Regulus, but it had made Reg way too uncomfortable, so it didn't happen. Rosekiller are very intense compared to Bartylus.

4. They do! James feels very conscious about not appearing as Regulus' lover. Regulus had to reassure him, of course, that it wasn't the same, even if it's not visible. Because it is different, you see? Barty is a friend. Kissing him feels like a friend - it's light, and funny, and they can do it and go back to gossiping. It doesn't mean anything at all. But when James and Regulus kiss, it means 'I want to spend my life with you and see you everywhere. I see you in the flowers in my garden and the ripples in the water, in the freckles of the sky and the roughness of the stone. I want, for every last moment of my life, to keep having you by my side for me to see how beautiful you are.' .Jegulus doesn't have sex, because Reg is sex neutral to negative and it makes him uncomfortable, but he can indulge James with some freaky action from time to time, which he's never do with Barty. Mostly, it's James asking Regulus to give him an appropriate amount of boyfriend time and going out together. It's the same way on Evan's part, since he usually third wheels for the two on their friend dates, and he likes to have some alone time to snog Barty in a dark alley, you know? Mostly, the boundaries they have are things Bartylus wouldn't be comfortable doing anyway. (Also Regulus is so obviously smitten for James it's not even funny)

5. Not really? They've always felt that way for one another. Sometimes people would joke that they were a couple and it would disgust them to no end. They've always been affectionate and they like it, that's all.

you asked me ritsu ships so for you i wanna know abt izumi ships: izuleo izunaru izuritsu. and also arashi ships: narumika naruritsu (naruritsumika too if you will) and naruhiyo !!

putting this under a readmore because I wrote a Lot more than expected

izumi ships: izuleo red izuritsu purple izunaru yellow

izuleo I adore ofc they're the most important people to eachother they love eachother so much they've hurt eachother they're silly their interactions are always great their history together.. lionheart checkmate judgement etc.. explodes them. aro4aro 👍

izuritsu I really really like not necessarily in a romantic way because I think they're both some sort of arospec (izumi aro and ritsu demi I think) but anyway I really like their relationship I think my favourite thing is that they're genuinely very similar to eachother irt likee their relationships with mao and makoto which aren't the same but are similar extreme attachment to a childhood friend and obsessing over them in order to block out the bad things etc and so they Get It in a way others don't, but they also have opposing personalities that work well together izumi is quick to get annoyed and more strict whereas ritsu is more laid back they kinda balance eachother out. ritsu is also incredibly perceptive and intelligent with a good grasp of other people and so I think there are times where he knows izumi better than izumi knows himself. ritsus idol story 2 is one of my favs of them interacting and they also have some nice interactions in next door iirc but I can't find the screenshots. in my own personal canon I think they come together after leo leaves school and they get really close in that period of time izumi is at his worst and ritsu isn't great either but like I said they understand eachother in a way few other people would.

izunaru I really like but not romantically they're eachothers oldest friends they've seen the the other at their worst and stuck around regardless and that's so important to me. their interactions in euthanasia are honestly everything to me especially their conversation near the end about how they've never been loved in the way they wanted but even now they're in a popular unit with lots of fans and lots of good friends it's still not enough theyre similar in this regard naru says to izumi about how she's always wanted love but never got it in the way she wanted i.e. not being seen as a girl etc and so she comforts herself by saying she's the one who loves herself most and izumi says he understands and he's the same and he's seen her when she's selfish and arrogant and imperfect and he loves her regardless. well he doesn't actually say he loves her because this is izumi sena we're talking about but that's what he gets across. and he says he's far worse than she's ever been he also didn't get love in the way he wanted (interestingly he phrases this with a food/eating metaphor. talk to me about izumi and his relationship with food it's so. It's so.) And then there's this which is sosososo important

Sexuality Headcanon: Lesbian! I think she knew she was a lesbian before the show but Priya is one of the first girls she's actually had a crush on. She might be arospec. Gender Headcanon: Some flavor of girl. Trans or cis, I do not know. I don't have a solid gender headcanon for her. A ship I have with said character: PRILLIE!!! They genuinely make me so happy and their friendship is everything to me. A BROTP I have with said character: I think her and Damien could be neat pals!!! Generally I want her to have more character interactions outside of Priya. A NOTP I have with said character: I saw her and Ripper together once and I just can't see it. A random headcanon: I think she writes essays for fun! She's made a lot of reports and stuff before and General Opinion over said character: ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS OF THE REBOOT!!! She's sooo wonderful! At first I thought she was kind of annoying but she grew on me episode by episode and by the end I was super attached to what she and Priya had going on! I'm hoping for more things of her in the next season and, as I said before, hopefully more interactions of her with people who aren't Priya.

I actually thought he'd be a finalist until he started doing the whole campaigning to get himself eliminated thing. Him doing something a previous contestant has done while not knowing anything about actual Total Drama was really funny to me. Hoping he'll make it farther next season. Finalist Damien CAN be real!!!
