#deltarune#asks#drawings#asgore#spade#king of spades#spade king#asgore dreemurr#spadesgore#technically#king spade#no one asked but i want to elaborate#asgore describes colours in pairs not just because it might be the only colour theory he knows#but because thats also how he generally just sees. people and their traits#as if everything needs something to compliment#hence why he feels so out of place and useless to himself when hes not married/in a relationship#the way he describes yellow and purple are a good way to describe him and toriel in undertale#royal colours that are tied to hope but they only shine when theyre constracted against the grim tragedy that shaped them#with blue and orange it kind of describes sans and papyrus especially with how their comedic timing works#like when youre alone with sans in mtt resort the tone is a LOT more somber - colder#but when papyrus is by himself hes all jumpy and shit and he hardly seems as down to earth as he does with sans around#and red and green imo are the most important in analysing asgore specifically bc his weapon is red#but his shirt colour in post pacifist and deltarune is pink - literally a softer version of the cruelty we KNOW hes capable of#he describes it as just sort of -fitting- with the greenery he surrounds himself with and i think that mostly has to do with what he WANTS#all the plants and the greenery are ALIVE but almost toxic. meanwhile someone else most prominantly associated with red is rudy#the guys whole gimmick is having a bright red nose#its like asgore surrounds himself with the colour that would compliment the person he wants#or literally wearing their colours a la him and toriel having the same shade of blue on in undertale#and spade? hes just emo. he likes black because its a lack of colour - a lack of light#the reason he works as a good parallel to asgore in this sense is because he breaks asgores dychotamy and forces his own

I asked for a razor for my birthday on account of my lustrous manly facial hair (ratstache wispy neckbeard and the horrifying beginnings of a goatee) and my dad bought me the same model as him and then told me that he was glad he did because when he was buying it he saw a bunch of videos on their website and realized he'd be using the wrong attachment for the past decade. In hindsight a lot of my dad's reluctance to include me in manly rights of passage is probably because his own dad left at 13 and he never had them himself, though gender roles do certainly play a part.
#Like he does do more Man Things with my little brother but I'm not missing out on much + a lot of it is shit he never did as a kid himself#Anyway. Masculinity is so fake lmao I think part of my dad's Deal is that he has a bit of a complex himself#He thinks of himself as like very enlightened and comfortable in his masculinity because he wears pink shirts to work sometimes#But he also gets incredibly defensive over my own masculine expression and over me wanting or not wanting to do Man Things#And generally just has some obvious (albeit very common) insecurity in that regard#But i think me being trans and my brother being uhhh a sensitive lad (I think he's gay but. He's 12 + Prime directive)#Probably made him a bit aware of his own hangups in that regard. He seems to think of me and my generation as very Gender Enlightened#which like we are but he seemed surprised to hear about all the horrible shit people said/did to me in k-12 wrt gender

once again thinkin about revisiting the idea of putting together a satyr ren faire outfit now that I know how to sew and make props and stuff, and while it will inevitably be nyssa inspired now that I have a specific satyr oc to draw inspiration from, it can't be a full cosplay of her specifically cause she's an herbivore and when I go to the ren faire eating a turkey leg is half the point
#not that avoiding any use of leather in my outfit wouldn't also be kind of an interesting challenge to me tbqh#on the other hand I have these leather belt pouches and by god I'm gonna use em the ONE PLACE I can#but perhaps... I will be more inclined to design the wardrobe around the color pink than I ever would have been otherwise 😌🌸#I went as a satyr in like 2009 and it was Just Okay#although.... I thought that one analysis of the wheeler sibs relationship with their dad would be the end of it but my brain is yelling at me telling me to make another post about how Nancy, Mike, and Karen are shown to continue that trend of idealization and then devaluation. Esp Mike repeatedly calling El a "superhero". Or Karen attempting to use a teenager for sex and it just so happened he looked like the guy in her erotica.
#nancy is harder... i guess with her steve represented normalcy. a world where she could just ignore what happened to barbara#also her 'oliver twist routine' comment to jonathan. she admits he was right later but its never addressed how she stomped all over#his struggles in that way#and it all tied back to the roses man#holly spends the whole season in white-pink+roses#however in the earthquake scene shes wearing completely white. the urn no longer has the flower designs on it. karen is wearing a grid (?)#then afterward shes back with ted in the den with roses again (? too far to tell but i think)#nancy having roses in the first wheeler photo but in the second shes wearing a plain white (? beige?) shirt#the clay urn looking thing in mikes room but where all the flower design would be on the main urn there are *holes*#oh brother the cycle of projecting an ideal image of something you desperately want on a person and then devaluing them when they dont#fulfill it#itts lllike....... everything about the wheelers makes sense now i hate it this is so awful 🤠😎#rosegate

this is my standard disclaimer that i have never posted a fic on ao3* and for however much i say “au” i truly mean that it’s a universe that lives in my head & i am absolutely delighted to tell you all about, all the time <3 if it helps i ALSO got me so invested in the heddy & stammer tailor au
ok now that the author’s note is out of the way here’s some notes about the not!fic heddy & stammer tailor au:
stammer as the tailor from gent’s playbook, very reserved, quiet, with an excellent eye for details (honestly the evidence i have for his style sense is just that he’s best friends with pk subban so it has to be there somewhere if only by proxy irl) is hired by victor hedman, star of the tampa bay lightning who is every other tailor’s nightmare to dress (huge, opinionated, fashionable)
heddy is decently well-known throughout the league for being very well-dressed & becomes quietly well known for also being one of his new tailor’s favorite loyal customers [heddy has the nicest fabrics. he has his suits the first day a new collection drops & e v e r y o n e is jealous]
stammer’s business booms after heddy takes a chance on him as his first big client & promotes him, heddy sees him grow in popularity & get more clients
heddy also moonlights as a model for stammer’s suits on instagram, initially to help him grow his business because then he won’t have to pay for a model and then because he’s over there all the time anyway because they’re dating (that’s why the model’s face is never in the pictures)
there’s not really a plot to this besides the vague idea of a plot where stammer makes heddy his lucky suit that he wins the cup in & sews a special little tag into the lining of his jacket that says i love you
because love sometimes is picking out the perfect right color pocket square to match your husband’s beautiful suit that you fitted like a kiss to the curves of his huge body
& also sometimes love is making your beautiful husband who makes you beautiful clothing enjoy nice things for himself once in a while, like the fancy watch you bought him or the nice suit you custom-ordered for him (from him) just so you could take it off of him
