My mother got me some noise canceling headphones a week ago. As time has passed I've become more sensitive to noise, I'm at a point where I can't stand my own computer's noise for too long and I need to focus on a video or music to ignore it.

I also found out that I write a lot more and better in complete silence, so the canceling headphones are wonderful for me.

Only cons

I constantly hear my own heartbeat.

When I take them off the sounds I was canceling becomes even more overwhelming, so I have to take them off in a room I know is going to be quiet to let my ears adjust to hearing again.
