How’d they react to you wearing their clothes one day…
Dick lives for moments like these.
He loves just how domestic it makes everything feel.
He smiles widely upon seeing you wearing his clothes that you swore if he smiled anymore the he already was his face would split in two.
‘What’re you smiling about so early in the morning.’ You’d ask and Dick -acting as though this was something he had been waiting to be asked- stood up from the bed and walked over to you to rest his forehead against yours, all the while pulling you in close by the waist. ‘Why shouldn’t I be smiling when the first thing I see this morning is you wearing something of mine?’ He asks rhetorically. ‘If anything this should be the only appropriate way to wake up to in the morning.’
Dick wasn’t lying when he said this as he honestly hopes that he’d get to wake up to you wearing his clothes more often than not.
Seeing you dressed in his clothes made his heart swell the desire to see you clothed in only his shirts and sweats, he’ll even modify them to better suit you. The takeaway to all this was that seeing you in his clothes unlocked a part of his brain that made him feel boastful, proud even at the fact that it was his clothes that you were wearing and nobody else’s.
It made him feel a little cocky that you were willing to wear his clothes as a not so bold statement as to show that you were taken.
Dick would wholeheartedly do the same thing if you had any clothing that he could fit into and would claim a proportion of your clothes for himself. And if you were to ever confront him about it, he’ll only put his hands on his hips whilst proclaiming that both of yours and his clothes were now to be called ‘our clothes.’
Jaime loves, loves, loves it to an embarrassing amount.
Khaji-Da would make a snide comment on how his dopamine and serotonin levels were through the roof solely because you were finally, finally wearing his hoodie after many days of pestering on his end.
Khaki-Da: Jaime Reyes, you are currently experiencing an arousal-
Jaime: don’t. Don’t ruin this for me Khaji-Da, you don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this day.
Khaji-Da: …you’re hopeless Jaime Reyes.
Jaime would defiantly make an entire album dedicated to you wearing his hoodie, just so he had something to look back on such a special day fondly, and show off to his friends whilst bragging about how cute and hot you looked; much to his friends annoyance.
Jaime would gladly give up all his possessions just to see you in his clothes a lot more, so much so that it may become an issue later on with how obsessed he is with seeing you in his clothes. His clothes are now your clothes. End of discussion, he will not hear otherwise just take his clothes like you took his heart.
Khaji-Da calls him dramatic bc of this…
Jaime takes full offence to this claim because god forbid he hyped up his beloved and show his appreciation for how good you look in his clothes.
Bruce thinks that you’re trying to tell him something by doing so. He’s not been in relationships long enough to understand just how gratifying seeing his partner wearing something of his.
Are your clothes uncomfortable? The wrong size?
Is the material of the clothing making your skin crawl and itch? Irritating you to insanity?
However he will not ignore the warm feeling he gets within his chest up seeing you wear one of his shirts. It was as though seeing you wear something of his satisfied an itch he didn’t know he ever had, but he wouldn’t mind you wearing his clothes more often.
But still he was a little confused as to why you out of everything of his that you could’ve chose to wear, why was it that you always went for the ones that he was certain he had worn not even twenty minutes ago, more especially the over worn black shirt with the obvious signs of wear and tear.
He doesn’t mind getting you some better quality clothes but when you still continue to wear his clothes afterwards, he gradually starts to piece together why that maybe, and when he does come to the conclusion that it was in due to how his clothes made you feel closer to him when he’s away…
He internally melts and intentionally takes his shirt off in places in the manor where he knows you frequent, before then leaving the room and waits for you to take the bait like you always do, and feels himself swell just that little bit with pride and joy when he sees you as if he didn’t just orchestrate the whole thing. 💀
If you were to ever confront him about how fabricated it all seemed, he’ll deny it on all fronts and claim that he’s being a little messier than usual.
You don’t believe this for a second but don’t want him to stop putting random articles of clothing out for you to wear because it’s the cutest thing he’s ever done. And so a silent mutual agreement was reached between the two of you.
Jason has read a lot of romantic novels in preparation for this day.
He always wondered what it would be like to experience seeing the love of his life wearing his clothes specifically.
So upon seeing you wear his clothes made him feel things that he long thought himself incapable of feeling after coming back from the dead; He even becomes much more touchy-feely because of it!
He’s never seen a sight more beautiful than you standing in the kitchen wearing his red hoodie as you make him and yourself a drink.
Jason thought he died again and went to heaven this time. He has you to thank for that because nothing can ever top the heavenly image of you in his red hoodie, looking as though you’ve just woken up, but still looking ethereal and happy nonetheless.
All this makes his cuteness aggression towards you flare up as all he does for the entirely of the day is hold onto you tightly from behind, burring his head deep into your neck, as his hands find yours within the pouch of the hoodie and holds onto them.
‘You’re awfully affectionate this morning.’ You’d joke, loving the powerfull feeling of having this six foot something man practically clinging onto you.
‘You just look so fucking gorgeous in my hoodie and you expect me not to want to touch you?’ Jason replied, tightening his grip with no plans of letting go anytime soon, and you weren’t about to start complaining anytime soon.

I’ve been having some Thoughts™️ about the weird meta paradox of gerri kellman’s sexuality. as basically The Older Woman on the executive floor she’s trying as much as is possible to blend in with her male colleagues while also not being perceived to be doing so. muted colours and understated makeup. a competent filing cabinet. her husband is dead and her daughters are nameless. she was sexual once but that’s out of sight out of mind and now it’s just the work. it must be a relief in some ways to become finally unfuckable because you’re over 40. she can finally be taken seriously, but only if she toes the line between being too female and not female enough. trying but not too hard. desirable in the past tense only. an honorary man but still in a skirt. and while the men around her can fuck their much younger assistants and get sports massages and run a sex trafficking ring on a cruise ship, she is the job and only the job and that keeps her safe. for a bit anyway.
the irony of gerri saving the company from the full legal extent of a sex scandal by dating someone from the DOJ??? like i’ll never be over it. even filing cabinets have to flatter and please and fuck when called upon. i genuinely don’t believe any of the other execs could have swung it because they’re not women. she dated laurie (generally unseen unless framed from another man’s possessive perspective) to save the men from going to jail for covering up rape allegations. the irony is delicious. and even though she did that, she’s discarded once she’s framed sexually. Dick Pic Gate was out of her control and yet when confronted with any element of gerri’s sexuality (even her PASSIVE sexuality, even after using it to save his company), logan dismisses her as weak or impractical or failing or whatever other excuse he uses to justify his disgust.
i would argue that roman’s interest in gerri is not in spite of but BECAUSE of her asexual framing. it’s a challenge that he’s never going to win which is ideal for his impotency issues; he can push and push and get the thrill out of it, out of the fucked up power dynamic, but he knows he’ll never have to actually fuck her. it’s all hypothetical: down a phone, through a door, half-joking, covered in sensible skirt suits. gerri’s deliberate lack of sexualizing is counterintuitively a turn-on for roman. and i bet the game of chicken they play is freeing for her too because the fact that she has to be professional and cannot be sensual is part of the fun of it. “roman is weird about gerri”. “it’s fucking disgusting”. not because of their family history, or their professional positions, but because she’s old. because the absence of her sexuality is enough of a presence to be off-putting. shiv patronising her about it as a power play is so weird because she’s talking to her simultaneously like a child and like an old woman, and gerri, agency-less, just has to keep reassuring her “i can cope”.
BUT it’s worse than that because it’s so meta. Because gerri is hot. her actor is attractive and like roman, many people watching find her sexless, no-nonsense framing to be titillating. me included. what if roman likes gerri not because of oedipal issues but just because she’s hot and god forbid we find a woman over 50 hot? but whether or not gerri is hot in the context of the show shouldn’t be a big deal, she should have been able to escape this by now!!! she’s in her 60s she’s a widow she’s tired stop sexualizing her!!! but don’t NOT sexualize her either because that’s problematic too and old women can be hot and old women shouldn’t have to be hot and suddenly i’m making gerri do what waystar does and exist as something sexual and non-sexual at the same time. she has a huge plotline in which she’s essentially a sex object. whether or not gerri is fuckable is talked about as much in the show with mildly-disgusted fascination as it is in the real world!!! she can’t win she’s hot she’s old she’s sexually framed she’s deliberately trying not to be she wants sex she doesn’t want sex she’s covering sex with sex and she’s telling roman to leave her alone so she can just do her damn job because she knows that this is what will bring her down!!! sex scandals historically don’t get men fired but an unsolicited dick pic knocks gerri off her podium in logan’s head forever. even now i’m talking about it at such length because i’ve given it so much thought!!! she’s the only woman in the old guard and she’s one of the most sexualized characters in succession. but only as a joke. in the abstract. never actually. because that would be weird. right?
#i would like to point out that none of this is within gerri’s control#it’s like the only thing about herself that isn’t in her control#and that’s how she is sexualised#ironic when romangerri came from j and keiran lmao#succession#sorry long post#succession meta#gerri kellman#romangerri#kinda?#roman x gerri#gerroman#gerriroman#j smith cameron

𝐓𝐎𝐗𝐈𝐂!𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒/𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏.
-> synopsis: some toxic things he may do as the leader of the Aretas Cartel.
-> warnings: manipulation: mention of toxic relationships, mention of degradation, mention of throwing things, mention of unstable relationships, slight mention of dumbification (I do not glorify these things.)
authors note: please reblog and like if you enjoyed this! please request down below as well. This has obviously been exaggerated and fabricated for entertainment, i’ve taken his character to a more “toxic” angle. I do not agree that his character is wholly like this or WILL do this.
[🕷️] 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
-> he would definitely not answer your texts until late at night. You could message him good morning and he would either:
respond with a dry text or not text you back until 6 hours have passed and he finally has free time.
-> i don’t think he does it to you on purpose but his life is so fast paced that he doesn’t really have time to really engage with your “useless” texts. He has much bigger things to concentrate on which is running the cartel and carrying out hits, there are plenty more girls out there who want him.
-> if you ever called him out on this, he would definitely twist it back on you and explain his lifestyle or just simply ghost you again until he’s bored or misses you.
-> he’s definitely a “you chose me knowing what i do” type of person.
-> god forbid if you ever ghost him over text though. He’s definitely popping up at your house and questioning you, initially speaking in an accusatory tone before eventually apologising (kind of), about his distant behaviour.
-> however, i don’t think he means to ghost you for as long as he does. He genuinely gets caught up in his work and is one to blow up when engaging with confrontation which is why he tends to ghost you as a way to not lose you.
-> because what would you rather want him to do? hurt your feelings in an argument? because trust me, you don’t want to argue with him.
[🕷️] 𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒:
-> 100% reactive.
-> He would go from 0 to 100 in a second depending on what you say. Ever mention his family and it’s over.
-> he was literally manipulated by his mother and has daddy issues. definitely not good if you mention them.
-> he would insult every single inch of you, degrading you to the point of where you have no self confidence left.
-> i also think, he may have a tendency to become violent if he really goes off the edge. It may be hard for him to get to that point, (you would really have to piss him off) but he may punch things or throw things while screaming at you in order to scare you.
-> this would be very common and not out of the ordinary as he has saw his own mother brutally die in front of him, violently fighting his dad also.
-> the words he would call you would be so hurtful they would make you think deep into the night when going sleep.
-> the attack on your character, you look, body shape and personality would have you questioning your whole identity and would make you succumb to his insults. Maybe causing you to change the way you act or look just to please him.
-> you’re definitely the one apologising first after an argument.
[🕷️] 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
-> “to handle or control something in a skilful manner.”
-> after how he was emotionally manipulated by his mother, who set him up to train for his whole life, to kill a man he thought betrayed her but in actuality was his father would mess him up DIFFERENTLY.
-> he WOULD not let that happen again.
-> he would have some manipulative tendencies that would’ve stemmed from his mother where he was switch a situation back on you,
-> For Example:
-> Let’s say you saw him flirting with a girl at a party you two were both at. If you brought it up to him afterwards he would automatically flip it on you suggesting that: “You’re too insecure,” “He doesn’t have time for this”, “This conversation is pointless”, or even “Can he not live a life outside his dangerous work?”
-> You’re not winning an argument with him.
-> by the end of this relationship, your mind is definitely just focused on him. the emotional manipulation taking a toll on you to the point where he can do no wrong.
-> he would 100% love that, his woman who is just a complete supporter, doesn’t question him and he can use her for his own use? great.
-> however, he would definitely get bored of this and dump you to move onto the next. wanting more of a challenge.
-> he only wanted the self-satisfaction of manipulating you so he could forget how he was easily manipulated.

hey could i get jealousy headcanons for aemond please! angst/comfort if that’s okay!🫶🏻
Jealous Aemond Targaryen Would Include:
Pairing: Aemond x f!reader
Word count: 542
Warnings: jealousy, insecurity
Masterlist here
It doesn’t take much to make Aemond jealous
As a proper prince he has learned how to hide it
Or so he claims
However, his glares are so icy it could cut valerian steel when he sees another man try court you
Before your betrothment he would just watch with daggers in his eyes when you met suitors
During balls and dances he’d glare across the room as the men danced with you
He’d barely last two dances before insisting you dance
And of course, once you begin dancing with Aemond he just keeps insisting on one more dance
“Just one more,”
Till he makes sure you’re too tired to dance with anyone else
Any man who he thinks is trying too hard for your attention he’ll invite to train with him
They all assume this is a nice gesture until their pinned to the ground with a dagger to their neck
Aemond grows a reputation at court for his dagger skills
But also, rumours begin to fly about your relationship
When you confront him as to why he’s scaring off all your suitors he just scoffs
Until that is you drag him off to his chambers to yell at him
He tries to pretend it’s not true, but he can’t stand seeing you upset
“I just can’t stand watching those men throw themselves at you,”
“Why don’t you want me to be happy?”
“I want you to be happy with me!”
You soon learn Aemond shoves all his emotions down until they explode
When you got betrothed, his jealousy slowly lessened
However, you figured this was because now all the men at court were afraid of Aemond
So, this meant it was the foreign lords who suffered Aemond’s wrath
If it was a small lord or a lordlings son or gods forbid one of their servants, he would have no issue dragging you away
Occasionally even threatening a lord’s son who was trying too hard for your attention
You always tried to calm him down but once he was angry it was hard to stop
However, if it was a higher lord, someone his mother would scold him for threatening, he would become extremely petty
“Lord Baratheon must’ve just been hilarious today,”
“Sorry isn’t Martell your new dance partner?”
“Don’t mind me I’m just your husband,”
These are the comments which make you drag him to his chamber to yell at him
“Why can’t you trust me?”
“I do trust you just not them,”
He would barely be able to meet your eyes as he said a soft “I’m sorry”
And Aemond hated apologising, so it made all your anger melt away
“I only love you,”
“I just don’t know how you could love me,”
“I don’t know how you can’t” you’d tell him holding him by his face
Aemond would try work on his jealousy
Eventually he would become more secure in his relationship after working on himself
However, no matter what the second someone touched you, even a kiss on the hand, he was ready to start war
And gods help Aegon if he tried anything
He tried to flirt with you when he was drunk one time and Aemond punched him square in the nose with no regrets

OKAY IM BACK SO
yandere scara or like overly obsessive and possessive scara who does literally everything in his power to keep you with him because god forbid he loses you too w/ his issues; he resorts to guilt tripping you, gaslighting you, etc etc. eventually, he isolates you after scaring off your friends and reader tries confronting him abt it but he’s having non of that crap (why am i asking for this)
as always; you don’t have to do this if you’re not comfortable with it
(i’m the anon that asked for the fic where reader confronts scara)
bitter lie
possessive/yandere scaramouche x reader
part 1/2
sypnosis: with you and scaramouche’s upcoming streaming career you grow tired of his lingering eyes and attention towards other girls in the field
“i’ll never get over you.” scaramouche’s muffled voice was in your ear. your laugh echoed through scaramouche’s screens as he had your stream open while he was streaming your current “online date.”. the chat gushed from his words, emojis spammed and thousands of more messages coming through.
at the time it was a sweet sentiment, a small reminder of his affection for you. now you wished he hadn’t meant it.
the breakup wasn’t a huge shock to you, or so you believed. scaramouche was completely blindsided when you told him you no longer felt a spark between you two. sure, he had been streaming with other girls after you told him you weren’t okay with it. so what if he commented under every streamers instagram pics that competed with you to stay on top? it was okay!
you’d never forget the anger in his voice that night.
“YOU FUCKING HYPOCRITE.” his voice boomed through his mic as his hands slammed on his desk. “me? a hypocrite? i never streamed with any other guys like you did!”
“you fucking hung out with that guy, alone. i’m not stupid. i saw your match logs. i know you were duoed.”
“it’s not my fault he doesn’t want to meet any of my friends, scara! i told you beforehand that i was going to hangout with him after you went to bed.” you shot back. scaramouche was referring to alhaitham. alhaitham almost never got on a game with you as he was too busy with his other streamer friends, but you two went far back to before the both of you started streaming. he wasn’t interested in meeting anymore of your friends after he had a nasty interaction with your ex boyfriend, and you respected that.
“but i’m not just a fucking friend (y/n).” he seethed. you scoffed, this was a side you had never seen of scaramouche.
“if you go through with this you’ll fucking regret it, (y/n). i promise you that.”
you shook your head. you were set on this decision. you would choose your own happiness this time. “go for it scara. i’m sure it won’t be any worse than how it’s been in our relationship.”
with that you hung up and blocked him on everything. you hadn’t meant for it to go this way. you knew his larger following wouldn’t take this well, not with how flirty he was to his viewers. they worshipped him. and in comparison, your viewers wouldn’t be able to compete with the thousands gap.
going to bed that night felt lighter. like a new start in your life. you knew a part of you would miss scaramouche. his gentle laughs when you two would hangout together off stream, his spaced out but sweet texts. there were some things about him that you would always cherish. but the pain far outweighed the comfort of the good moments. you sighed as your eyes fluttered shut. it would all be better in the morning. this heavy, nauseating feeling.
your hands shook as you read over his tweets. he was making your breakup as public as possible, he was going to ruin your career. you laughed dryly as you tapped some buttons on your screen, pressing the green call button as you held your cold phone against your ear. “pick up, please.” you muttered to yourself before you heard his voice from the other side of the speaker.
“(y/n)? it’s so early.” alhaitham’s gruff voice sounded from your phone speaker.
“haitham? did you see what scara tweeted. i broke up with him last night a-and..” your voice muffled with your sobs. alhaitham never knew of the overprotective way scaramouche would react when you’d be with others, others that weren’t him.
“slow down, (y/n). who cares if he tweets about you? you both have your own audiences it’ll die down. breathe.” alhaitham scrolled on scara’s feed on his side of the phone. reading through the comments of the new hate tweets spewing towards you. this was bad. alhaitham knew it was bad attention for your upcoming streaming career.
“shh. calm down.” alhaitham whispered quiet words of comfort as you broke down over the phone.
alhaitham didn’t know the hell that would plague you for the next two months. how wrong he could be. the false words of comfort that would feel bitter against scaramouche’s torment.

The issue with Moro's wound
Although "Princess Mononoke" is one of my all time favourite animated films, since deep childhood I couldn't understand the one certain aspect. Why Moro was afraid that the Forest Spirit will take away her life instead of healing? And why would the Forest Spirit take her life away instead of healing?
This question bothered me many years not only because Moro is my favourite character in the film (and Adagio of Life and Death sequence still gives me goosebumps even after many years), but also because the movie doesn't give proper explanation, why she is ready to accept her fate and to die. So, despite her hatred toward humans, Moro still saw in Ashitaka the worthy one, who can and will care about San. The theories like "Moro is too old already, what's the point to prolong the life of old suffering animal?" are very weird, if you realize that Moro is 300-year-old wolf goddess. At least, the official artbook states exactly this age.
While Okkoto is 500-year-old boar god.
He is twice older than Moro, so what's the deal? Especially, if Okkoto himself was sure that the Forest Spirit will heal him after really deadly wounds and serious blood loss (not to mention, how the Forest Spirit saved Ashitaka, who already was almost dead).
The poisoned bullet could be removed from Moro's chest, and if San is less experienced in it (I guess), Ashitaka could help her for sure. I doubt that the bullet broke into several fragments, which are stuck in the bones and are located next to the internal organs. Probably it stuck in layers of skin and muscles. So, technically the removing of this bullet and then sewing up the wound are possible. Especially if to remember that Moro got this wound like a day ago or even only couple of hours ago.
So, most likely there's no threat of sepsis, for example. Again, the Forest Spirit saved Ashitaka, who was almost dead due to the bullet wound in the heart.
Near the end of the film the Forest spirit saved and healed both Ashitaka and San from the hatred curse they got during confrontation with demonic Okkoto and Nago earlier.
And if to look closer, you can notice that the deadly blood/body of the decapitated Forest Spirit is very similar to the snake-like worms that were inside of the demonic boars and spreaded the curse, as well as the liquid around the Forest Spirit's head either accelerated the spread of demonic poison through the body or it added another curse itself. And only after the head was returned, the Spirit healed both Ashitaka and San.
Hence the versions like "Moro confronted Okkoto, trying to save San, so she got Okkoto's hatred curse and will become the demon herself or will die, devoured by the curse, so that's why she can not be healed" also are not valid.
I can only assume that Okkoto couldn't be healed, because he fully transformed into the demon and lost his self irrevocably, so the only way was to give him rest in peace. Plus, mentioning Nago, he kinda hinted that becoming the demon is also some kind of tragedy for entire tribe and the one, who became the demon, is lost forever for his family/tribe (in pretty similar way Ashitaka became lost and dead for his tribe after Nago cursed him during confrontation). And the cherry on the top of a cake — according to early sketches, originally the Forest Spirit actually helped to San and her wolf brothers, healing Moro from the poisoned bullet.
He can do this easily, he is the patron of the forest. So, why on Earth would he refuse to heal and save the wolf goddess, who is not only the wise and useful ally, fighter and guardian, who protected him, the forest and its habitants for many centuries, but also she is mother with the three children, who are not adult for now and hence less experienced?
Maybe there was some allegory for cultural aspects of Feudal Japan or symbolism for warrior-emperor relationships (you know, the idea of "I exist only to serve and to protect my king and kingdom to my last breath, it is forbidden to ask my king for help" or whatever, and the line "She is the daughter of the wolf tribe, when the forest dies, so dies she" kinda gives impression of it), but looking at acts of the Forest Spirit near the end of the film, I don't think so. There was a chance to heal Moro at least from the poisoned bullet.

Bitch dont tell me you haven't done a headcanon for our boy naidu!!
𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍 | 𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑨 𝑵𝑨𝑰𝑫𝑼
• General • Romantic [both. sfw and nsfw]
A/n : seriously how did I miss him-
I - GENERAL
he is everything 😭
that was dramatic because so is everything in his life.
the official babysitter of the elites.
anger issues. he was so prone to violent episodes from his childhood.
became calmer over the time.
you know that one person who you befriend for work and then the person refuses to leave you alone at any cost? that's prince and his dynamic.
he is SO DONE with the amount of bullshit decisions the actor makes in a week nevermind a month or god forbid a year.
him and lara share a clint-natasha type of relationship.
he met her under a job. she was blackmailing the son of a politician under desperation and he ended up helping her out instead of beating her up or something and she stuck by him since then.
she is not in love with him she is gay my dudes but she will break your face if you even breathe wrong in his direction.
sirini is more on the big brother side since he was the one to help him grab the hold of things when he started.
always breaking up petty bickering between sirini and lara.
had nightmares for longest time until he developed insomnia. especially of naga coming out of prison to kill him.
now coming to topic that makes like 80% of his personality. the trauma.
was the 'good. sensible. responsible.' kid growing up.
naga just about always left him to deal with brothers, sister and mother.
developed a practical-problem solving thinking very early in his life.
has bad anxiety, self worth issues and depression.
his anxiety/panic attacks are of the worst kind. he hates them.
had one after he confronted naga in tej's studio that night.
can't sleep most of time so he drinks in hopes of passing out. this worked out well until he built a tolerance for alcohol.
his depressive episodes include him sitting in one place and literally getting stuck in his own mind.
he is obsessed with training in gym and getting better at fighting because he will die before he lets anyone die from his family again or let someone harm them in anyway.

Spoiler Free Veilguard Critique
Includes negatives and positives
I think my biggest issues are that the person u play as is not allowed to have any personality or opinions and if u do manage to say something ur companions don't like they don't...confront u about it. in other DA games if u pissed off a companion enough they would leave or you could kick them out.
>you don't get to choose ur companions in this game and other than flirting ur relationships aren't really...relevant to anyone else or to their stories.
>I've only played it once so far, but I dont remember there being much fallout from my decisions other than which city I choose and the final battle.
Honestly I feel like they should have replaced Rook with the Inquisitor - it would have made more sense and been more interesting. But its my understanding that the developers wanted to make the game accessible to new players...which is great. but there is already so many small references to the inquisition that is summarized for new players anyway so just...do it (I genuinely look forward to the fanfiction that make this happen)
other grievances i had:
>World building was inconsistent with previous games and there was absolutely no attempt to address it. sure we had mage wars, and race wars as a focus of previous games but its nbd in northern thedas? ok then.
>if a companion wants to speak to me at a specific location plz for the love of God don't make me have to go to them at the lighthouse to find out they want to speak and then make me go to a different country to speak to them. jfc dude.
>Everything was so specifically paced it got boring at times and I felt like I had no control over anything. they lock off areas you might want to explore unless u have a quest there and sometimes u can only go there during the quest. I may have hated the hinterlands but I enjoyed that I could find myself fighting for my life in bear country when my inquistor wasn't ready for it. Or stumble across a dragon 10 levels above me. God forbid u go anywhere in this game without permission.
>The most meaningful and rpg-style change my character could make was to their appearance. And they don't even have a bed.
on a positive note:
>Solas is still a fascinating character and he is delved into a fair bit in this game. i love that stupid bastard, he's such an idiotic asshole. Also he looks badass imo. A little mangy tho, iykyk.
>Some people found it wasn't very dark? I found it to be very very dark. maybe the fact that the Lighthouse was very unaffected by most things outside of the fade misled ppl? the horrors are many. the blight pustules are disgusting. Idk man I felt the dark fantasy of the whole thing and think it holds up to other games. (although admittedly its effect on characters could have been explored a bit more but I think that's typical of DA games lbr)
>I like the companions, I like the glimpses we get of their relationships with each other. I like the character annotated codex pages. Idk I think they're neat.
>I only played the once and I did it on easy but the skill tree seems pretty cool and expansive? I didnt get to explore it much as my brain can only handle figuring out so much at once. there's a lot of options.
>its goddamned beautiful. all the scenery is top notch. I wish I had a high end gaming pc so I could get the pinnacle of its beauty. but alas I am but a wee ps5 owner.
#long post#review#ig.#veilguard#veilguard critical#dragon age#dragon age the veilguard#dragon age veilguard#veilguard spoilers#i mean. i liked it enough that i cried. twice. i dont cry goddammit#and i have a lot more specific critiques of course. but its whatever#this is just a summary.#i also heard they arent toing to do any dlc. so thats massively disappointing. the ending felt abrupt.

Reminder that when Lily was confronted with the idea of respecting artists and maybe, you know, crediting their work if she was just gonna snipe their art off the internet for her videos without asking, she instead told artists to suck it the fuck up and earn the respect. Earn her respect.
Because Lily doesn’t just naturally respect artists for spending hours or even days creating their own content to share with people online. Because Lily just doesn’t respect people in general.
If somebody had stolen Lily’s scripts or her comics, I don’t doubt for a second she would’ve raised hell over the issue, but god forbid she give another content creator the same damn curtesy of not shamelessly stealing their work.

Can you do yandere Peter Parker with a reader that is Mj sister and he starts to get obsessed with her?
Do you only write headcanons or oneshots too?
Hi Anon, thanks for the request! I write headcanons for the most part. The only time I don't is for my Yandere! Peter Parker series Sick and for my writing events. When it comes to non-event requests, I prefer to write headcanons.
Warnings: Yandere themes, mentions of stalking, stealing, and implications of murder
When Peter first started to like you, even with just the hints of affection that went beyond friendship, he was a bit scared.
MJ is a naturally intimidating person. She's blunt, sarcastic, and when she has an issue with something, she has no problem calling it out.
That combined with her protectiveness over you, Peter has no doubt that she'd shut him down the moment he displayed any romantic interest in you.
Because when it comes to MJ and her sibling, it's that MJ can be quite picky about those who think they have a chance with you. You're her sibling, so of course she's going to make sure the person who's after you isn't an absolute dunderhead.
But Peter has a hard time not falling for you. The more time he spends with you, the faster and harder he obsesses over you.
And we all know that Peter isn't all that good at hiding what he feels. When around you, he gets all blushy and lovestruck. If questioned about how he acts around you, he also tends to stutter and avoid eye contact.
MJ's not stupid. She'll see that quickly and be rather blunt about confronting him if she finds out anything that's illegal or even weird.
Because let's be real, no decent sister would put up with someone stalking or stealing their sibling's stuff.
While I think Peter could sweet talk and act his way through a lot of people, I think MJ is one person who'd see through it and absolutely not put up with half the stuff Peter does.
While he'd never let her or anyone else know about the more vicious and unsavory things he's done to keep you "safe", MJ would pick up his obsessiveness and not let it slide.
Once Peter realizes that MJ might be catching onto his more. . . unsavory tendencies (stalking, stealing some of your stuff, and god forbid the stuff he's done to scare off people he thought were bad for you), he'll panic, but it's not like he can scare off or even hurt MJ in the way he usually does with people who get in his way.
Peter prioritizes your happiness and well-being. He's lucid enough to realize that removing MJ from your life isn't really an option.
Considering she's your sister, MJ likely won't leave you alone willingly, and any threats to scare her will only make it back to you. However, taking the more drastic option would leave you grief-stricken and miserable, even more so than if it were a friend or potential romantic partner.
So he'd likely just go for covering up what he's done as much as he can once he knows MJ is catching on. Hiding the stuff he's stolen from you better, making sure nobody can see him while stalking you (and likely starting to use cameras and trackers instead), and being on his best behavior while around MJ.
All to avoid losing you and having to resort to staging an accident.
Because Peter truly values MJ as a friend and would love to one day call her his sister-in-law. But he still values having you see him in the best light possible.
And if MJ starts to taint that, Peter will do as much as he possibly can to stop that before it's too late.

Ways Walter O'Brien Says "I love you. " || X GN! Non-genius! Reader!
Walter O'Brien rarely ever says the words "I love you" as he believes love is simply nothing more than a chemical reaction in the brain. But he definitely shows his appreciation for you in many other ways, and you know he loves you without him ever having to say a word.
He does not allow you to call tech support for computer/phone issues. He doesn't care what time of day it is, he demands that you call him so he can solve your problem. And if you can't call him, he wants you to simply show up at the garage. He fixes every one of your tech issues, and will constantly upgrade your things, even if you never asked.
He helps you budget your money. He creates spreadsheets for you and teaches you how to use them properly. Also in a way to help you budget money, he does your taxes for you, every time without fail.
God forbid you ever complain about not being able to afford something around him. If it's something like new shoes, or a video game, or maybe some new clothes, he'll simply just buy them for you. He doesn't care about getting new things for himself. But if for some reason you can't afford something bigger, like any form of bill, he will either give you money or pay it directly for you.
Let's say he finds out you like something like a certain snack or drink. That snack or drink will periodically just show up on your desk. You know it's from Walter, and he doesn't hide that it is, but he doesn't outwardly say it. He makes sure the fridge is stocked with things you like, along with the cupboards.
If Walter finds out you have an interest in a topic, he will take it upon himself to learn everything he can about that topic so he has an excuse to talk to you and see you smile. Sometimes he'll pull all nighters just learning about things you like.
He tracks your phone. When you confront him about it, he just says that he wants to make sure you're safe because of the line of work you're in. What he doesn't tell you is that he wants to make sure you're safe because if something happened to you he'd never forgive himself.
He is not a big fan of movies, but he will watch movies with you, whatever movies you want to watch. And even though he normally predicts exactly what's going to happen, he makes sure he doesn't say those predictions out loud when watching movies with you. He doesn't want to ruin it for you.
When you work late nights he doesn't let you go home if you're tired, but he doesn't make you sleep on the couch. He lets you sleep in his bed while he sleeps on the couch, and he sleeps there with no blanket or pillow.

Could I ask what you think about Raven Branwen as a character and her role in the story?
Raven Branwen was an ideal counterpart antagonist to Yang Xiao Long and should have gone on to be her most direct villain rather than Adam filling that role.
A lot of people get too caught up in discourse about RWBY and end up twisting one of the few things it did reasonably well, which was its treatment of Yang's biological parents, Taiyang (flawed individual who dealt with a lot of shit and as a result fell down on parenting, but seems to have healed and stepped up since) and Raven (cowardly and self-serving bandit who left people who loved her rather than step up at all). I do not think Taiyang is a bad parent, I think Raven most definitely is, and I think Raven was the perfect person to contrast the core of Yang's character (inner strength that drives a person to be loving and warm).
The only real flaw in their confrontation in Volume 5 is that it happens far too soon; Raven deserved to blossom into a complete antagonist and have more than one skirmish with Yang as the person who defies everything she stands for, who indirectly made her who she is.
I have this problem a lot with RWBY stans and even RWBY antis; they do not seem to understand that the point of female characters is not to be good or to be redeemed; the point of female characters is the exact same as the point of male ones, which in the end is just to be interesting. Cinder did not need a tragic backstory and Emerald did not need redemption; both of these aspects of the show were forced, ill-timed, and generally unnecessary as these two characters were more entertaining as straightforward villainesses.
The same goes for Raven. Her cold and shrewd nature with her self-serving personality makes her a much more enjoyable antagonist to watch than the likes of other villains like Jacques or Tyrian or, god forbid, Hazel. Adam may have chopped off Yang's arm, but Adam isn't the one who gave Yang attachment issues, he just worsened them. Raven is the one who had the chance to be a part of a functioning family and had people who needed her, and threw it away. This point is used to contrast her against Qrow many times, so I know the show writers see the general shape of it and could've used it better. Raven is the one who casts a shadow over Yang in the present day and should have continued to hang over her head as an enemy she would one day need to clash against a final time.
Let women be evil please and thank you.

hi! could you possibly share the intercept new report about gay men and their misogyny? i know this isn't really about br politics, and im not even sure if it is in English, but i think it is really important to be shared
I hope it's not too late 😅
-
Gay men and misogyny: no more ignoring this problem
'Don't talk about vaginas around me': for a long time, we ignored the disqualifications of women and the feminine made by gay men. No more.
"If I liked women, I would have become a gynecologist."
"The law of gravity is a crime against women."
“Funny” gay guys, usually white and showing a certain hatred towards females, are a very common social type in contemporary pop culture. The character Felix “Bicha Má” ["Evil Fag"], played by Mateus Solano, from the Brazilian soap opera “Amor à Vida” [Love For Life], is an easy example in Brazilian lands – the sentences that open this text are his. But this sharp-tongued young man who directs much of his bitterness towards women, including friends and relatives, has never only lived on screens: he is a common presence in our daily lives.
"Oh, don't mention a vagina around me, I get all messed up."
"My goodness, this singer was beautiful, but she got old and ugly."
"Get out of here, I don't even like cracks."
I can't say how many times I've heard phrases like that from fellow gay men. For a long time, these ways of disqualifying women – despite the certain discomfort felt by every person who is repeatedly the target of prejudice – were endorsed and reflected by women ourselves. Offenses dressed as “I was just joking” have largely naturalized these forms of disqualification, but the good news is that, in an environment in which feminism has gained ground, what seemed to be just a joke is now named by the right word: misogyny.
This is a delicate subject, since we are talking about people – mostly cisgender gay men – who have been and still are victims of a series of violence, whether at home, at work, on the streets. Perhaps it was precisely this that made us, cisgender or transgender women, leave the discomfort of being made fun of in the background. After all, confronting homophobia in a sexist country like Brazil is no simple task. But if this machismo affects homosexual men, what can we say about its presence in women's daily lives? And what can we also say about the homophobia directed at cis/trans homosexual and bisexual women, especially invisible and also targets of “jokes” by gay men?
“I had a very close gay friend, like a brother. We went out to parties together and often slept in the same bed, at my house or his. Several times, as if he were joking, he said that he was terrified of vaginas, that he was born through a cesarean section so he wouldn't have to go through one. He'd gesture the sign of the Cross and said ‘God forbid’, smiling,” says Adriana Conceição, 47 years old, a telemarketing operator from Recife who, like several other women, took a while to classify the guy's actions with the right word.
Game developer Renata Gomes, also 47 years old, found herself at the center of a virtual outrage after questioning a post by a gay Brazilian film critic living in the United States. In the post, he talked about missing Brazil, since people worked a lot more in the USA. Faced with the possibility of his speech being reductive and stereotypical, he began to treat Renata as “ugly”, “militant”, “frustrated”. Furthermore, several of the critic's friends entered the comments to reiterate the delegitimization of Renata's speech.
Younger people also identify the problem: aware of the issue, Curitiba university student Nicoly Grevetti, aged 24, listened to several people who circulate in LGBTQIA+ spaces about the subject and wrote a text about it. In it, she also identifies how pop and queer cultures, supposedly safer and “modern”, also present misogynistic elements.
One example is the use of the term “fishy”, constantly evoked to define drag queens who closely resemble cisgender women (that is, who have a high degree of “passability”). The expression refers to the smell that these women's vaginas supposedly have. “[Cisgender] women grow up believing that their private parts are disgusting and spend their entire lives using products to reduce their natural odors, which can lead to various diseases. Having female genitalia as something disgusting is so common for this group, that you can find countless reports of women talking about it on the internet,” she wrote. The topic was the subject of discussion in the famous series RuPaul’s Drag Race, generating academic works like this one. Cisgender drag queen Victoria Scone, a former participant in the show, also spoke on the topic.
A few months ago, I experienced a significant episode of this machismo and misogyny that had been attenuated for a long time in relation to gay men. I was in a doctor's office very close to a shopping center in the south of Recife. After the end of the consultation, the dermatologist – homosexual, white, in his late thirties, and anti-Bolsonaro in the last elections – lightly tapped my hand and said: “Okay, now you can go for a walk in the mall.”
Especially on that day, I was rushing to finish presenting a lecture that I would give the following day, online, at the University of Coimbra. Obviously, if I wanted to window shop or spend the afternoon reading celebrity magazines, it wouldn't be a problem (in fact, I love it). The point here was the doctor's obvious intention to fit me into the cliché of the futile and consumerist woman, a sexist and anachronistic way of disqualifying the female gender. Icing on the cake: while I was leaving, the gay boy warned me not to forget to take “the boss” to my next appointment. He was referring to my romantic partner.
If it's feminine, it's smaller
The misogyny present in the practices of part of this population is so evident that it goes beyond the boundaries of gender and occurs between equals: it is common to see it operating even among gay men themselves. Research I carried out in partnership with Professor Ricardo Sabóia, from the Federal University of Pernambuco, analyzed the relationship between body and celebrity on the Grindr app. I was astonished by both the hatred towards what is socially seen as feminine and the extremely high level of normativity, standardization, and even elitism. “'I'm not into effeminate guys” is a constant, as is “I'm not into fat guys”.
In this environment of extremely high value for toned biceps and abs, being masculine – and looking very masculine – is the strongest currency. Thus, men seen as “little women” are disqualified. This is what researcher Carlos Alberto de Carvalho calls “misogynistic heteronormativity”, in which the masculine and masculinities are placed as positive – on the other hand, femininities and the feminine are valued negatively. It is, therefore, an environment of hegemonic masculinity and subaltern masculinities.
The global soap opera “Terra e Paixão” [Land & Passion] currently features an illustration that refers to this scenario, with the character Kelvin (actor Diego Martins), an “effeminate” gay man in love with Ramiro (Amaury Lorenzo), the masculine man, self-declared heterosexual, who desires the other person, but still doesn't know how to deal with the situation. What diminishes the power of the first is precisely its proximity to what is considered “womanly”. But, looking at Grindr, even the desirable “brucutu” [Brazilian slang for a brute and rude man] has his limits: issues such as level of education have weight in the app used mostly by gay and bisexual men, where it is common to read “no illiterates”.
The LGBTQIA+ culture, in which rich and middle-class white homosexual men repeatedly appear to discriminate against other peers from the same community, is a central sociological issue for discussing social inequalities not only in Brazil, but throughout the world. “Queer cultural production has helped to reproduce class distinctions based on the hegemony of representations of middle-class gays”, writes Lisa Henderson in the article “I’m not/I'm not into: circulating meanings in the presentation speeches of the Grindr app”, by Rafael Grohmann. In the same text, Juan Marsiaj summarizes: “Such a strategy can lead to the acceptance of a type of gay (white, middle class), seen as a model of citizen-consumer, and a greater marginalization of all other 'debauches' who do not fit this way. In more Brazilian terms: there is a risk of accepting rich gays and further marginalizing poor queers.”
Discrimination on the part of this part of the queer community was evidenced in a historic episode in the 1970s, in super liberal New York. In June 1973, the Christopher Street Liberation Day Rally took place in the city, a demonstration held in favor of the rights of the queer population – which, at that time, as we will see, in fact was basically limited to white, middle-class gay women and men.
But, among the public, was the activist Sylvia Rivera, a transvestite who in 1971 had created the Revolutionary Action of Street Transvestites, STAR. Rivera had been trying to get on stage for some time, but Jean O’Leary, a lesbian white radical feminist, acted to prevent her from participating. A sample of how, many times, cisgender homosexual/bisexual women also enact the same discrimination as homosexual/bisexual men.
When he finally managed to grab the microphone, Rivera took aim at the hundreds of mostly white gay men and women present. Her speech is a synthesis of the violence experienced by queers who are too effeminate, too poor, too black, or too latine.
“I've tried to speak out here all day for your gay brothers and sisters in jail. They write to me every damn week asking for help – and you don't do a damn thing for them. I lost my job and my apartment for gay liberation… and you guys treat me this way?” she screamed.
The anger had yet another weight and meaning: alongside another important name, the transvestite Marsha P. Johnson, Rivera went down in history as one of the first to face police repression at the New York bar Stonewall Inn, on June 28, 1969. The conflict was the trigger for a fundamental civil movement for human rights – so much so that the date ended up becoming what was then called International LGBT+ Pride Day.
The question remained: how could that engaged audience repudiate the person who, at just 18 years old, spoke out against violence that was not directed just at her? How could they recriminate someone who pulled the trigger that would benefit precisely that white homosexual population?
Rivera and Johnson, who lived in a shelter, were profoundly different from the majority of the public who would return to their comfortable homes after the demonstration. Unlike Rivera, the daughter of a Venezuelan mother and a Puerto Rican father, most had not spent nights in jail or suffered police rape. The activist died homeless, alone, without the care she should have received. Marsha P. Johnson, the decorated, made-up, smiling, super queer transvestite, was murdered and her body thrown into a river.
Thinking historically and humanly about both is a central issue in the debate on hatred of “feminine” and other diverse discriminations present among the LGBTQIA+ population. The right-wing has long opened a war against women, and the rise of red pill assholes is just one of the phenomena of this reality. It still includes names like former federal deputy Daniel Silveira, who broke the plaque with Marielle's name alongside Rodrigo Amorim. [Note from the translator: Marielle Franco was a black bisexual favela-born leftist councilwoman who was assassinated by militias.]
But, as it turns out, misogyny is not exclusive to right-wing radicals and conservatives. And if Sylvia and Marsha were on the front line to guarantee the rights of millions of people, without distinction of creeds, race, genders, and degrees of “femininity”, it is worth asking: when will cisgender gay men, mostly white and middle class, join, with emphasis and strength, debates such as the right to abortion, employment, and wages, issues of life and death for the majority of black Brazilian women? When will the majority of this same group take a stand on the thousands of rapes that mainly victimize girls and teenagers? What collectivities, after all, are we talking about? As Jorge Ben would say in the song Zumbi: I want to see. We're here.

Siege and Storm- Chapter 20
There's a lot to unpack in the whole Manly Manfight scene, so I've decided to thematically sort it, keeping the crumbs of pure Malina issues here. I'll leave their post-Zoya kiss confrontation for another post, because that's quite a pile of trash. The stuff below is mostly indirect tells they might not be as perfect for each other as the narrative wants us to believe.
I wonder if Alina were so concerned with fairness, should anyone else stand in Malyen's place.
Also: He doesn't want your help is about 50 % of what's wrong with Malina relationship. HE is the strong one, she's here to cater to his emotional needs. Gods forbid Alina would end a fight he got himself into!
Assuming Malyen is truly THE third amplifier, wouldn't it be funny, if he were claimed by some random Grisha due to his own carelessness?!
And of course Alina's going to blame her own ~careless~ words. As if her man child weren't able to see the difference between his (at least) basic training (and layers and layers of plot armour) and underfed "army" of ragged peasants, armed with sticks and faith.
If this were about ability to fight Grisha, he could've asked Botkin for special lessons- I doubt ~that~ guy lacks skills to share. Or the twins, if he hates everything Little Palace-related so much... but no, it's only about his ego, and the way others see him.
That said, here's another wasted parallel- Alina's helpless worshipers are seen only from afar. There's no fighting we'd see them in. Now, who has similarly untrained believers to work with?! And DOES attempt some basic training at least... wouldn't that be our late Starless Saint?
They held services every sundown, and during the days, they alternated praying and training. They were going into a battle, after all, and though Aleksander did not intend for them to do much fighting, they needed to look like they knew what they were doing.
