okay but as horrifying as that was to experience its good to know I was right on the money with finn and his sex books. being on the surface was literally the first time in his 150 years of life that he had the chance to explore himself and his romantic/sexual preferences without consequence. for 150 years he was forced to abide by the undersea's VERY STRICT laws by punishment of death. but he can't get in trouble for any undersea laws he violates on the surface -- and even if the oversea had those same laws (they don't) who gives a shit? finn's already a pirate! he breaks the law every day! of course he'd take that opportunity, to FINALLY understand more about himself. to FINALLY understand why he's felt the way he has for so long. of course he would.

Hii I just finished the chapter 7 dlc and decided to write a summary of it for those who might be interested, since who knows if or when it'll be localized ! I've only done the good ending so far though, but this got pretty long as it so I put it in a google doc for easier reading.

You can find it here ! Spoilers for the whole thing obviously, except for the bad ending. (I'll probably add it when I get around to doing it!)

I'll probably take this down if it gets localized or if someone else does a full translation, but I hope this helps someone who might be interested :) it was really fun!

I think my favorite feeling about BG3, which your comics show, is how hilarious it can be, without demeaning or deterring the emotional attachment. The funny bits don't make the sad parts sting any less, or the catharsis any less gratifying. It makes it such a treasure to play and get immersed in, at least in my opinion.

I think one of the most captivating things about this game is that, while the narrative it tells is so big and overwhelming and dark, there are so many charming and funny bits thrown into the game, both in the writing and in all the weird little antics that come with playing a massive video game that can't possibly have all the bugs worked out. But it never feels like it detracts from the experience!

I think it really embodies what playing d&d can be like, and it's wonderful.
