❗️ANXIFEAR MINI FIC FROM MY NEW COLLEGE AU ❗️

So I got 6 hours of sleep last night because of this idea so APPRECIATE WHAT YA GETTING XD /j

This AU is still in the works, but all the info in this post is set information, send me your ideas in the comments or in asks, I'd be more then happy to hear them! ^^

Warning for one f bomb I guess xD

It's the beginning of a new semester, Fear's a young college teacher in the mathematics faculty. He's been working there for about 3 years. Anxiety is a new teacher and this is her first semester teaching, she's a history teacher in the human science department.

Fear is just finishing up a lecture, when Anxiety barges in holding her material, her coffee and her notes. Her glasses are tilted and her hair's clipped up in it's usual messy style. When she looks up, she sees a full classroom of adults and a startled Fred looking straight at her.

Oh my bad, forgot to mention their human names hehe. Fear is Frederick Fitzgerald, because it's silly but trying to be serious, like him, and Anxiety is Anna-lee Tyson, just cuz I like how that sounds lol. Back to my narration,

She scrambles with her things and apologizes profusely to Mr. Fitzgerald. He urges her not to worry as he was just giving his ending speech and he dismisses the class. Anna awkwardly says goodbye to the students as they are leaving, while Fred starts packing his things. She approaches the front desk and sets her things down. They start up some small talk.

At this point, Fred has seen Anna around campus. He's found her little quirks fascinating; how she always carries too much in her arms, how she presses too hard on her PC's keys, how she supplements her coffee with energy drinks. It makes his stomach twist in a way that's farmiliar to him, but he denies putting any feelings forward to keep things professional. Anna rarely pays attention to her surroundings, she stays in her head much of the time, so this is her first time meeting him.

"I'm sorry again for the interruption," she repeats herself.

"Oh there's no need to apologize, Miss?"

"Tyson, Anna-Lee Tyson," she started to organize her supplies.

"Charmed, Frederick Fitzgerald. I've been interrupted by far worse. Students, other staff, KIDS EVEN!" He continued putting away his personal items.

"Kids?!"

"Yes, sadly, some single parents have to bring their children to class from lack of available childcare."

"Ugh, childcare should be more accessible to single parent students," she protested.

Fred shock his head in agreement.

"... Do you have any children M. Fitzgerald?"

He was taken aback by this question. Fred is a little ashamed he doesn't have kids at his age. He thinks if he had a partner by now, he probably would have-

Seeing his awkward reaction, she takes back the question:

"I'm sorry, you don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable, I-"

Fred laughs it off, "No no, it's OK but... do I look that old to you?"

"No! I mean- of course not!" She assured him, although it seemed more as if she was reassuring herself.

And he laughs some more, "You would probably guess correctly to be frank."

"... Are you daring me to guess your age?"

"Yes, go on," he smiled, amused, and leaned on the desk.

So she tries to guess: "... 40?"

Fred jerked back and put his hand to his chest dramatically.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" She apologized once more, shaking her hands nervously.

He chuckles, "No, you weren't too far off! I'm 37."

"Oh! OK, I got close!"

"Ya! May I try guessing your age?"

"Sure, go ahead," she smiled.

To this, he leans back on the desk and strikes a thinking pose dramatically, guessing 25 in a flirtatious manner.

She giggles, "You're kind M. Fitzgerald, but seriously though."

"Ok ok... 32?"

"Oh, so close, I'm 34!"

"Darn!" He says and they both laugh.

He looks at her laugh, it almost turns into a squeak. Something about her makes him feel like he could talk to her for hours and she'd listen. Her nose scrunches and it makes her round glasses tilt upwards; he pushes his own glasses up.

"And I love your smile..." he whispered under his breath mindlessly.

"Hm?"

"Oh hm, it was very nice meeting you Ms. Tyson!" He held out his hand to her, quickly responding to avoid suspicion.

"It was!" She agreed, shaking his hand firmly.

After an awkwardly long handshake, which she didn't register as such, he finished packing his things and headed out, wishing her a great start of the semester. She returned the gratitude. Leaving the lecture hall, he held his hand up to his face to hide the glow he felt on his cheeks.

Fuuuuuuck- he doesn't swear much, but this time called for it; she had a strong affect on him and he was going to have a difficult time trying to hide it for the rest of the semester-

part!1: Prologue

Content Warning!: Angst, Fluff?, gn!reader, unhealthy obsessions, graphic depictions of violence (rarely), trauma, spoilers!, (Some of the lore here is accurate cuz i did my research😡) Note: The reader is part of the high cloud quintet- and is also a long life species. So they are vulnerable to mara- but Bailu helps in keeping it suppressed. They still have some amount of control on themselves.

When the high cloud quintet broke apart years ago, you isolated yourself away from people- only ever paying attention to the new found creation made by Dan Feng: Bailu. She was so clever, so smart and so much like him. It seemed as if he had pulled a part of his loving personality and inserted it all into her.

Nevertheless, you adored her. She was like your own child, a sibling, a friend, a companion. She had won the hearts of many people, being a healer that is- but. There will always be those who never let of the past. She was still a sin committed by Dan Feng, a being who shouldn't exist.

You often visited the statue of the once honored Vidhyadara Prince at Scalegorge Waterscape, where the Dragon palace was located. You would place flower, bouquets- even certain trinkets at the edge of the statue, and pray for his wellbeing. For you wondered, no- you knew he was alive. He was somewhere out there, and he would return for you someday.

It was an unhealthy obsession of yours, letting yourself completely depend upon the thought that Dan Feng will come back for you. He hadn't been killed- he had just been banished. And despite knowing that his memories had been wiped out after rebirth- your reason for living was purely based on the fact that he was alive.

Bailu had told you so many times, let go of him. Even if he does come back he wouldn't have a clue of what's going on, let alone be allowed to enter the loufu. However much you tried- you always returned to him. No- not him, but his memory. You sobbed lonely into the nights, often being comforted by Bailu herself.

Jing Yuan had become general, he had attempted to visit you- comfort you, assure you that not all is lost. He used to be your best friend, the one you could always rely on after Dan Feng when thinsg went wrong. But you detested him now, you wouldn't speak to him or look at him. It was all his fault- his his his.

"Will you not pull so hard-?!" Bailu asked with a pout, you were so absorbed in your thoughts that you completely forgot about brushing bailu's hair. "I'm sorry.." You mumbled with a gentle smile, your grip on her hair softened and you brushed it with love. "Hehe, you bimbo/himbo!" She giggled as she looked up at you. You giggled in return. "Stay still, unless you wanna end up looking like a lion."

Yes, your life could have been called stable. But it lacked what you most desired, your deepest- most wanted desires. They weren't dark- but they were impossible. And you would spend your entire life waiting for them to be fulfilled.

Hi, Canas lesbian here! Her gentle demeanor, scholarly tendencies, and general lack of self preservation in pursuit of forbidden arcane might has bewitched me. If she was a masc presenting lesbian I'd totally be her research assistant so that when she asks me to retrieve some tomes for her, I'd roll up in a skirt that's way too short and a top that's way too low cut and hand over the books and be like "Here are those tomes you asked for, hehe ^_^" and she'd look up and see my outfit and her face would get red and she'd stammer out a thank you but then get right back to work because the pursuit of knowledge is neverending. 🌸Do you have any basic headcanons? (Age, Sexuality, Etc.) —

Xilonen is in her mid to late 20s. Cis lesbian, she/her. I imagine her to be quite tall as jaguars are rather big. AND, she would be a jaguar/ocelot mix because she is one despite what hoyo says ! I have a little family headcanon, too. I don't have a better way of explaining it in anything other than real world-ish terms. I hc that she has a mother of Aztec decent who Xilonen gets her name & ocelot features from And a Jaguar father who indigenous from the Brazilian amazon ! I'm going to redesign her nightsoul patterns to reflect the body & face markings of said cultures once I've done adequate research ! Design-wise… she is very different. 😭 ochre toned skin & curly dirty blonde hair that fades into a warm honey. And the strange braid in her hair, I think, was meant to be a "tererê". A sort of hair braid people usually get done at beaches in Brazil ! She braids beads & puka shells into it, too. Hazel eyes ! Green eyed genshin characters scare me. She layers lots of gold jewellery. I'll stop now, I could go on & on.

Ciaradh is in her early 20s. Nonbinary lesbian, they/she. Quite tall, too ! But not as tall as Xilonen. I've finally settled on making her a wolf, though I think that I'll change the animal for trivial things if I want to. She is very feminine & sharply dressed. Their wardrobe is my own, monochromatic, black & white, just like my own. Chronically ill, so she can't do much but sit & look pretty combat wise.

🌼Is there an official confession scene between the two of them? —

They both sort of just knew where their relationship lay. No words needed. First kisses & such came very naturally, like they had been doing them for years already.

🍀 Do You have any other scenes in mind? Angsty, Tender, Funny, Etc. —

I think that Ciaradh finding out about Xilonen's bouts of recklessness that has resulted in her having to be saved would upset her greatly. Tears falling type of rage. 😭 So deeply offended that she would ever dare throw something precious as her life away on a whim. "what happens when there's no one there to save you ?" etc.

She knows that she does not act that way out of pride or sheer lack of sense, that Xilonen is only trying to what is best for her people. But it wouldn't hurt Ciaradh any less. Despite her seemingly aloof nature, she is very sensitive about Xilonen. They'd kiss n make up, though.

I have lots of thoughts about Xilo cooking for Ciaradh when she's weak, too. :> Helping her in general. Helping her eat, letting her use use her side as a support when her legs are worn. She's an excellent support.

Asking me if I collect anything is like opening Pandora's box. I collect EVERYTHING! I answered this question before here, but I am never lacking collections to talk about. For you, here is my beloved Smiths record collection which I have gathered from my parents collection from the 80s, back when, y'know, The Smiths still existed(I'M SO JEALOUS GRR), and others from my own searching and people's gifts to me. you got it 🫡 warning in advance for banter + snf crit but this is all from the perspective of a fan i’m not hating just to hate. and under the cut cause this is everything i’ve been holding in it’s Long

imo the problems with banter boil down to 1) a lack of direction, and 2) that it honestly seems like nobody but karl even gives a shit about it. it doesn’t even need to be a particularly inspired idea to work, just coasting off their dynamic would be fine (i don’t think karl/sap/george is a great combo for this format but that’s not to say it can’t ever work, i’ve enjoyed them in past episodes) but they still need to go into sessions with like…. an idea of what to do. it’s evident in both individual episodes— losing track of the topic ten minutes in, aimless conversations, starting and stopping stories, etc— and the podcast as a whole— celebrity guests seem picked at random with minimal research done, their chris episode that had a chance of being topical didn’t come out until after the general public lost interest, and doing THREE reboots because they keep losing steam after putting out two episodes is just ridiculous (though they’ve been better about that recently, credit where it’s due). their new set actually looks great, i like it a lot, but it doesn’t make their fundamental problems better. and all that would be more excusable if i got the sense that banter was really a passion project for them, but like i said yesterday i just…. don’t think that it is 😭 i do feel like karl genuinely wants to make it work and tries hard. but snf seem like they just said yes because it’s easy for them and they’ve got literally nothing else going on, and at least imo it shows

three guys in their twenties making a mid podcast isn’t the worst thing in the world (in fact it’s healthy for them. enriches their environment) but the reason everyone is so bitter towards it is because it’s ALL we get these days, save for a stream for two every couple weeks. it’s true that banter doesn’t Actually stop them from doing anything else, if they wanted to make content they would make it, but when we hear that group streams have been canceled and snf fly to north carolina a day later that’s still what it feels like! and, maybe most maddeningly, they seem to be under the impression that most of their audience Likes the podcast?? that’s the only explanation i can think of for the hubris of booking a big venue in a low-traffic state just before vidcon with no guests but austin ever announced and the most half assed promotion i’ve ever seen (see my point about not caring). i don’t like them blaming the venue for the cancellation either, i call bs on them being “difficult to work with” and it was almost certainly because of low ticket sales. like honestly, genuinely, did none of you see this coming? it’s incredibly out of touch and even though i like all three of them i can’t help but feel bitter thinking about how the only content we can expect from content creators is something they don’t seem passionate about yet continue to ignore that their audience very resoundingly Does Not Want It

and that brings me to snf’s careers right now as a whole. i don’t have as much to say as i did yesterday cause this anon summed it up so well but it really feels like between dream not micromanaging them anymore, minecraft content in general getting lower views and more creatively burned out, and not being separately stuck inside forced to do Something to stave off the boredom, they just don’t know what to do anymore, so they do nothing (or make seven-minute mr beast videos). dream isn’t the content machine he used to be either but at least with his projects like usmp (🕊) and drusic i can feel like he’s busy with projects he loves and there will be something tangible for me in the future, so i’m more willing to wait and see. and using tommy as another example, he’s done a great job branching out into other avenues and preserving his audience when what he was doing got tired. there’s no reason snf Can’t, they just haven’t. and when i hear about things like them scolding dream for promising us things i’m like ?!? fair i guess, i’d rather not expect anything and not be disappointed, but it’s only not happening because you guys aren’t making it happen. are you really SO busy that you can’t carve out three hours in an afternoon to cook something on stream? (in fairness that could be said about all three) or do you just not want to, and expect your audience to stick around indefinitely like it’s 2020?

l'aiha likes to do a lot of subtle or indirect things, as even when they're married, she and y'shtola tend to be fairly independent outside of having similar research ambitions! l'aiha will bring her a drink or small lunch when she's busy/distracted, and leave her notes regarding y'shtola's current project that l'aiha had thoughts or ideas about.

one thing in particular l'aiha did was go back to the first to retrieve y'shtola's real heartstone (as detailed in the rak'tika msq)! it's mentioned that tataru remakes everyone's shb clothes after they return to the source, so i headcanon that while she made a beautiful replica of y'shtola's heartstone, it lacks the sentimental value of the original.

it's also fragiler, and l'aiha learns how important it is to y'shtola when it accidentally drops and breaks. so l'aiha goes back to the first, checks up on the night's blessed, and asks for the original stone as well as any other items 'master matoya' particularly cherished.

if you discovered a new kind of vegetable like one that had never been discovered before science has NEVER seen anything like this vegetable.... what would you do with the vegetable...

well first how many samples do we have? first thing i'd do is plant the vegetable in the best most comfortable and rich soil ever to make sure it grows again and give it moderate amounts of water and sun to ensure it grows some more so i can harvest more of this vegetable.

then i do a poison test! i taste the leaves and the vegetable, touch them and rub a tiny amount on my lips to check if i have any negative side effects. i check for bitter or awful tastes. i wait for 15 minutes, then proceed with another taste with a small bit of the plant, and wait another few hours. i keep testing until i realize that there are no poisonous substances.

i still prepare one sample to send to a lab, but for now i want to do my discoveries on my own. :3

in the meantime, i'll try to note down everything i can about the vegetable. i'll doodle it, get its general shape, write my impressions, my thoughts on it while observing it. then i'll start doing a general more detail illustration of the plant's anatomy from the outside and in cross sections, noting down each region and how they smell, what they feel like, amounts of water, etc etc...

i lack the biological knowledge or vernacular to correctly note down each part of the plant's anatomy so i'll just keep the plant illustration intact and as detailed as i can. then i take a bunch of really detailed pictures and videos of the plant and vegetable from all sides, and watch how it grows.

after that i wanna try a litmus test and check the ph level of the plant... i'd probably get a litmus paper or smth.

now that i've done enough researches on the vegetables, it's time to cook it if it's not poisonous :3

first, after cleaning it thoroughly in water, i'll try tasting it raw no cuts, and see how it pairs with salt and then sugar, separately. after this, i'll dice it and tr to sauté it and taste it as is. based on how it tastes, i'll see if i'd rather pair it with a spicy sauce or a milder sauce. if it's a tiny bit bitter or chewy then i'll go for spicy, but if it has a more earthy flavor then i'll add more spices.

i'll also try to eat it in a soup, and also just cooked raw in the oven. i wanna see the panel of different tastes this plant can offer me. can i also make a tea out of it? out of its leaves and whatnot? i'll get the residual bits of the vegetable i cut off, put them all in the oven and cook them until they are fully dry, then pummel them into a fine powder to make either seasoning spices out of this vegetable, or powder for tea.

of course, i'll be documenting all of my researches on video because this is priceless data and i control all of it hehe.

after this, if i still have enough vegetables to both send to a laboratory, and to make more dishes out of, i'll make a few dishes that i deem are perfect for this vegetable, and serve them to me myself and i because if it's somehow still poisonous or smth im not giving it to my family... though i doubt it because i would have already died by now.

anyways. i take all of the document material i have, put them all together in a 30mn long video documentary. after which, i send a snippet to a lab and tell them i am renting the video for approximately [I Have Bills to Pay]$ dollars. and if they're interested, i can send them my thoroughly documented video and a sample of the plant for more money, because i have bills to pay and also put a lot of effort in this. of course i am all for sharing information publicly.

except not now because i am in dire need of some money. sorry for being a capitalist.... but i would have probably already posted and sent some bits and pieces of my researches either on here or to various friends. not on twitter. i hate twitter. not on insta either. just here or on discord or whatever.

i'd also listen to a bunch of advice from people as well, just in case.

42. Who has the most self-control? Kyyyyyyyle... I think. very in control of himself until he's pushed to his absolute limits. whereas Eric lacks self-control in many ways- he lacks control in general from the people in his life and that reflects on his own behavior. he's indulgent of his wants and goes to unnecessary lengths to obtain them.

Kyle just happens to get shoved to those limits often enough, so it probably seems like he lacks self-control, especially in regards to Cartman specifically, but I think he's got a good grasp on it.

51. Who overthinks the most? oh, both of them. Kyle canonically has multiple existential crises and Cartman overthinks situations to ludicrous degrees, usually to justify his actions and often because he's paranoid and distrusting of others intentions. they overanalyze each other most of all. I think it's something they would both have to overcome in a relationship. in the beginning I think there are a lot of "is he doing this (nice thing) because we're dating or is he up to something?" type scenarios.

Who would survive the longest in the wild? man, this is a hard one BECAUSE Kyle has probably researched how to survive in the wild. he would know how to start a fire, while Cartman would be whining for someone else to do it. he seems like the kind of guy who could identify poisonous plants and berries. he knows how to use a compass.

but Cartman is willing to go to insane lengths without hesitation for less. he'd drink dirty stream water because he's already dropping the world's nastiest shits so who cares if he gets giardia? he'll eat anything if it means he gets to survive another day. that is to say, if it came down to it, I think Cartman would eat a person and Kyle wouldn't.

if they got stuck in the wilderness together they would immediately turn it into a competition of survival. they'd both make it out alive but they'd emerge from the ordeal as new men... but it's them so they'd probably get lost in a Costco for three hours and walk outside beaten and bloody to Stan and Kenny asking where the hell they've been while they enjoy their $1.50 hot dog/soda combos.

No the hating mainstream things to be “unique” is so eugh honestly like just because somethings mainstream doesn’t mean it’s basic…but exactly I’ve definitely lost the spark with jjk I think it just got too confusing? And I was losing the essence of the story and idk I know geges said before that that they’ve wanted to end jjk earlier but something about the editor saying no…? Also yeah the “jjk has the best female characters” ideation…hmm..it’s def better than the blatantly sexualized ones but at this point it kinda feels like a bare minimum/low standard thing that they ARENT sexualized like in most shounen content that makes people say this (i agree like wtf happened with yuki we barely saw her honestly?? Don’t get me started on tsumiki i was expecting them to take a route where maybe she’d actually wake up and play a more conscious role but what the hell was that)

It’s always Karasu….I think it’s partially also because some manga scenes of him are a little goofy because they give him that smile that almost cuts across his entire face to give him that kinda evil looking smirk….and the anime style kinda striking that awkward balance of maintaining those features but not putting enough detail to go full asshole def makes it a little goofy LOL (but in art they put more effort into like the S2 trailer/teaser visual he looks great with all the shading)

there’s def a lot of areas where there could be more lore (rika’s character page is so odd??) just because of how many characters there are i think!! but i do feel like the story is wrapping up so some things might just be left as questions. or not, who knows!!

yeah there’s def a cycle of like thing gets popular -> everyone loves it -> it becomes so over saturated that people start hating on it to be different -> it becomes overhated -> in a few years everyone realizes it wasn’t that bad. the biggest problem w the “hating as a trend” is that it takes away from legitimate criticisms of the work, as fans will lump it into general hating for no reason.

besides just analyses being so important for even basic comprehension of the plot, i’ve noticed a lot of the storyline is dependent on random interviews gege has done. like nobara’s death only being confirmed because of an interview years after it was written is RIDICULOUS to me (even though i already thought she was dead tbh but there was enough speculation in the fandom that it obviously wasn’t clear enough in-story). things like interviews and character pages should give you fun additional information that can help you expand on a character (oh rin likes horror games!! karasu is scared of the water!! etc etc) but it shouldn’t be the MAIN source of KEY info on a character. idk i think a lot of people love what jjk could be at this point and not necessarily what it is.

YESS i honestly was not super pleased by the female characters in jjk!! they are cool, and they COULD be well written, but they aren’t. i think in terms of its contemporaries, demon slayer does female characters better than jjk (again, not saying they’re perfect because they aren’t, but, say, shinobu is a stronger character to me than even maki).

jjk is a sunk cost fallacy for me HAHA i’ve been into it for over 2.5 years now so i have to see how it ends but i don’t really care atp what happens 😭 i’m like an unbiased outsider…idk it’s sad i wish i could’ve stayed invested but i only even know leaks are dropping because my social media blows up whenever they do.

💜 The Days When IU Sing Me Lullabies 🌷

If I think of KPOP artists that remind me of my Pandemic Years, one of them is no other than IU (Lee Ji-eun). 🌸During the pandemic, she released the album lilac and it became my favorite album of hers. 💜I do not know why but I remember everything I learned about IU. I really cannot understand but maybe it is simply because she is South Korea’s Little Sister. Naaa.. I am just kidding. My ears like IU’s voice. I cannot argue with my ears. I am not crazy. Hehe… Her voice is really relaxing, and it helps me to be calm, especially every time I am having stress because of work. 🌝

Another reason is, she is an inspiration for my generation. For the Kpop stars I know, IU, Do Kyungsoo, and Kim Seokjin have similarities in my heart. IU was born May 16, 1993, Do Kyungsoo was born January 12, 1993, and Kim Seokjin was born December 4, 1992. My Birthday is April 14, 1992. 🐏From what I see, there are many successful artists younger than IU, DO, and Jin but they still thrive in the industry. The perseverance of IU since she was young, the authenticity of D.O, and the humbleness of Jin, these are the qualities that they should be proud of. They embraced the fire within themselves despite hardships they faced while in a 3rd generation of KPOP.

If they could succeed, I know I can too, regardless of if I only learned what I want to do in my 20s. 🪽

IU was supported by her grandmother with her career. Since they lack financial resources, they even lived in a house infested by cockroaches 🪳. I love hearing about your life :3 but I kinda find it funny because my experience is kinda like the opposite of yours. in high school I never took art because, like you said, I didn't like being forced to do art that isn't on my own terms, and i had a short attention span that wasn't ideal for in depth art research, my parents also told me that I wouldn't be able to handle taking art.

but not taking art in high school meant that it was much more difficult for me to make a portfolio, I didn't have a standard number of works some of my art friends did, and I didn't have the experience taking art would've given me. when it came to choosing a program in uni it also meant that I couldn't take any creative subjects because I was lacking experience and a portfolio. I ended up going into the most creative related subject in business school (kinda a stretch) which is marketing. but classes are also completely different from what I expected. in the first semester I have to take general business courses, like accounting and math (which is a nightmare.) and sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice, yknow? maybe I wouldn't be wondering so much, maybe I wouldn't have to do nasty math :") I guess I got what I wanted but it's just not what I expected haha

anyways haha for skzoos and stuff I buy them from a fan agent! (speaking of pilot skzoos my bbokari came in today :3 he's SOSO tiny he's a lil babie hehe) fan agents are fans who help buy fan products through group orders, so you can just pay them the cost + shipping (shipping will be much cheaper since the cost is split with other fans) it'd still be a bit more expensive than the price stated by jyp but it's a bit more affordable and you do save on the shipping 👍 I hope you'll be able to get your skzoos one day :D
