Gojo

I feel like Gojo would think you were joking at first, and wouldn’t believe you until you got frustrated and he finally realized you were being for real. He would have mixed emotions. On one hand, he was excited to have a big family and a house full of laughter and love. On the other hand, he was afraid, because more babies meant more defenseless mini-people for him to protect.

He had only known that he was going to be a father of quadruplets a few minutes ago, but he already knew that it would destroy him if he ever lost one of them. That he would gladly give his life for them. And then there was the matter of you. He already knew that childbirth was difficult for women, but quadruplets?? Childbirth was something that even he couldn’t protect you from and that terrified him. 

After a serious discussion in which he made sure you were okay with the added risks and you continuously reassured him that this was what you wanted, he settled down and began imagining a future for your family. Until he realized that he would have to share your love with four little gremlins who would surely take after their clingy father. Then it suddenly seemed less appealing.

Yuta

He would be in shock. Because he put- wait how many??? babies in you. There was no way he heard you right. There was no way that you were pregnant with quadruplets. Because, wait, he didn't sign up for this! Yeah, he wanted tons of kids, but four babies at a time was a lot. And the strain it would have on your body was concerning as well. 

After he stopped opening and closing his mouth as he gaped at you, he managed to organize his thoughts. First he wanted to make sure you even wanted that many kids because, well, it wouldn’t be easy to give birth to or take care of that many. Once you had reassured him that you were, in fact, sure that you wanted to go through with the pregnancy and that you were prepared for whatever the future held for your not-so-little family he took a moment to process his own emotions.

At first he was conflicted. Sure he was excited, but he held his own private reservations. What if something went wrong during labor? What if he wasn’t cut out to be the parent of one kid, let alone four. But as the months sped by and your stomach grew, the anticipation grew, until one day he let go of any and all trepidation and allowed himself to be optimistic.

He also bought tons of matching onesies for the whole family.

Nanami

Ever the responsible adult and caring husband, first he sat you down and had a serious discussion about the pros and cons of having quadruplets, and whether or not the risks were worth it. Deep down he was thrilled, but he wanted to make sure the two of you were on the same page and understood what continuing meant.

Once the two of you had established you were going to see this through, and it was something the two of you wanted his planning would begin. First came the research. He thoroughly educated himself on everything regarding pregnancy, learning everything he needed to do to ensure your comfort and the healthy birth of his children.

Expect a special diet plan that fulfills the needs of you and your unborn children in the healthiest way possible, essential oil massages, weekly check-ups starting your second trimester, vitamin gummies and more.

He also would begin saving up because raising four children would be expensive. Would for sure have a whole financial plan set up and college savings accounts set up for each of his children within a week of his learning.

Megumi

Honestly, he wouldn’t have super strong feelings about it. He wanted to be a dad, but he didn’t care if it was one, four, or one hundred. He just wanted to have kids with you, and beyond that as long as you were happy he was too. 

So when you told him, his only response was asking you what you thought about it. When you told him you were excited, he was excited too. He had wanted to build his own family for as long as he could remember, and you were helping him reach his dream. What more could he ask for? The only other thing that mattered to him was that his children had siblings. As a kid he had resented Tsumiki, but as an adult he couldn’t imagine the loneliness he would have experienced growing up without her. So yeah. If you were happy, and his children would have siblings so they would never have to walk through life alone, he was content.

There was nothing more he wanted in life than your love and a family with you.

Itadori

Kids!!! He had wanted a ton of kids, so this was perfect! You were happy with it, so even better! He sees it as a four-in-one deal, and is over the moon. His golden retriever personality becomes even worse when you’re pregnant. Like, this man is at your side 24/7.

Watcher Thoughts

Spoilers for everything!

This is a shortened version of a much longer essay where I jotted down all my thoughts about the campaign. This is still pretty long, but hopefully it’s digestible enough.

Gameplay

Loved the initial twist. Was disappointed that we'd have another repeat with the siblings for a second. I love them but after eight campaigns, I was ready for something new. I'm not put off about not having another iterator (yet? I’m not counting Prince) either. It would have been neat, but exploring different stuff instead is good.

Got stuck a couple times, as I didn't understand what I was supposed to do to progress. I had fun exploring the regions, but exploring the majority of the first three with no idea of what to do next was frustrating. It wasn't even about story progression either - I just wanted to see more regions! But region and creature discovery felt very rewarding at least.

Portal placements were pretty wack and regions felt disconnected - you've probably heard it all already at this point. Some improvements like portal markers on the map will help (I'm certain that they'll either add it officially, or someone will make a mod). I avoided playing any region mods before this to keep things fresh, so I have zero context for any of these places. They're certainly very pretty at least.

Story

Although I would have preferred something different, I respect that the devs wanted to explore new and frankly wild routes. If it were me, I probably would have done a rare working transit system or something. Keep things grounded, group the new regions by theming so that you can at least connect them to each other. (Like Badlands + Rusted Wrecks + Torrid Desert.) I would have liked exploring ideas like scavenger societies or new biome lore instead of... rift walking through time and space madness. But I can't deny it was fun!

I really enjoyed Spinning Top (the echo), I think they’re very funny. I’m not bothered by them being able to move around - Two Sprouts, Twelve Brackets kinda imply they can too, at least enough to watch the tunnels of Subterranean. Maybe it depends on the echo too.

The decision to make a proper, repeated character out of an echo was interesting. Though I’m on the fence about the demystification of echoes and ascension. I do like Spinny’s arc and their story, and it gave me strong feelings to see them finally choose to move forward. I liked what they had to say, in terms of more lore for the ancients, their own character, and also in their final scene. 

Being tethered to the world by the sorrow of realizing you weren't loved in the way you should have been loved. Craving a warmth you can see but never feel again. The concept of peace after long-lived suffering. Able to move on because you had someone at your side, someone who cared enough to keep coming back to you, even if it was just a silent, peeping little creature. It resonated with me.

The purpose of the ending confused me at first. I thought Watcher playing with the toys was an example of their personality, maybe - distant, relatively unaffected by the events that just unfolded. And maybe that’s still true, but the emphasis on the spinning top in the campaign select screen… I’m not sure what yet, but playing with the echo’s namesake, their former beloved toys… there was something there.

I feel weird about Watcher being able to influence the world physically. I thought the point of echoes was that they were ghosts unable to interact with the physical plane. Only able to provide a bit of enlightenment for slugcat with their presence - stuck between one world and the next. Unless it’s all a dream (a trope I dislike and partially assign to Saint anyways), or Watcher is not quite an echo, in which case… hm.

Personally I'm tired of the rot, and I preferred it as a relatable and contained disease, rather than a sentient force that can corrupt worlds across time (and dimensions/timelines?). What they did with it was interesting, at least. You can explain it being Like That™ as a different strain of rot from Pebbles’, or it being because Watcher is a separate continuity. But it’s not about the explanation for me - it’s about the themes.

I enjoyed Prince as a character - I like the way they look, move and speak. But I didn’t get as attached as I could have due to my lukewarm feelings about rot stuff and Watcher’s rift powers in this DLC. Though, due to this campaign, I don’t know if I’ll keep headcanoning voidspawn as a lesser consequence (than echoes) of not being ready for ascension. The "stinging idiots" seem very intent on getting Watcher/echoes to finish crossing over into the next realm.

It seems like they want to portray the void as a force, to which the rot is the antithesis of. Prince spoke of wanting all life to go on forever, never lost - and then a force opposing its own. And it seems like that force may have won. I suppose all things must return to the cycle, or come to an end, eventually…

You can hear a single whispering iterator voice as you walk up to Prince’s puppet for the last time. That voice disappears after the karma flowers take over. Patches of them now bloom across all the regions. But the rot continues to spread! So hm I dunno what’s up with that.

Since they're adding more content later, I feel like they'll probably be character-centric threads too. Spinning Top and the Prince are probably two chapters in a broader anthology. I wonder where they’ll go from here. (Maybe a way I can unrot my save file? Haha.)

Regions

The art direction is great in my opinion. Some regions that stuck out to me:

Badlands (minus the locusts, they should really not see you while you’re invisible). The vibes are immaculate.

Torrid Desert. I usually find desert maps boring, but the sand dunes were a refreshing break from geometric tiling. In general, I really like breaks from the tile-based geometry. The first time I saw a scavenger templar/disciple (don’t remember which one) was a neat moment. I find the implications of those guys existing quite interesting.

Shrouded/Stormy Coast. Something about the warehouse crates and hanging platforms really tickled my fancy. I think the scale of it all, as well as the color provided from the crates, contributed to it feeling so good to me.

Desolate Tract: Conversely to the wavy desert dunes, this place being so flat, not boring due to the uniqueness of that, and backdropped by the wind tunnel really made me curious about this place. I hope they fix the bug that makes your FPS tank here though.

Outer Rim: Rife with secrets, both left and right. The desert portion reminded me of Kingdom Hearts' Keyblade Graveyard. Against all odds the scavengers continue to survive, and like in Torrid Desert they have strange, powered garb. Void-infused clothing? It’s interesting.

Ancient Urban: Even if I'll argue about ancient scaling forever, the actual presentation of this place was amazing. I was eating it all up and now I really want to get around designing my ancient OCs. You think it was named this as a nod to the popularized fandom term? Haha. 

Unfortunate Development: The dead coral corpse of Pebbles 2 electric boogaloo. The void worm is weird and all (is it rot-corrupted or just a faceless facsimile the rot created?), but I enjoyed the environment more. The background was a tesseract-like frame that stretched on seemingly forever. That was what really spooked me.

Brightness and contrast adjusted for viewing ease. Where is your head?

What are Starcatchers? They look iterator-like. Maybe it’s an alternate dimension thing, just as Signal Spires has the pyramid concept art iterators in the background? They could be structures that aren’t iterators, a different build type of them, or an alternate timeline, I guess. Starcatchers probably perform a function related to their name, regardless.

I remember before this DLC, some people interpreted iterator bricks as cylinders instead.

In the files Outer Rim also has a curving sky and a placeholder background where the earth is crumbling at the edge. And it’s literally called Outer Rim. Could also be a floating landmass, or sinking into the void sea, if you wanted to try out some other explanation. But I think that flat planet Rain World theory has some more evidence with this one. (I don’t think I can use flat planet RW for my space-involved AU but it is still interesting)

At the edge of the world...?

Someone (I think it was a reddit comment, I've been brain blasted with so much Watcher stuff that it's all starting to mix together) pointed out that spreading rot in the past doesn’t influence their future versions, so alternate dimensions aren’t out of the question. (Unless all regions are separate places - I wasn’t sure if places like Stormy Coast vs. Shrouded Coast were supposed to be the same or not. Or if the karma flowers kill the rot in the past, only for it to crop up again in the future and die again, but that seems overly convoluted.)

Time and space riftwalking shenanigans were already a lot - timelines/alt dimensions feel like quite a step further. In this case you are not following just the one “thread,” as Spinny puts it.

Final Thoughts

Initially I had a poorer reaction to Watcher's story, but some of it was defensiveness over the tone and headcanons I had come to like about RW and DP. After a few days of it settling in, I find myself warming up to Watcher more. I may have liked something different more, but I can enjoy and appreciate Watcher for what it is. 

If people can differentiate the canons of the DLCs (...it might be a little easier than vanilla vs. DP, because Watcher is so fantastical), I think I can have a fun time with both. 

Speaking of headcanons, giant ancients are pretty inconsistent with a lot of the environmental clues about ancient size, even the new regions within the DLC itself. I’ll post some stuff about it with screenshots and drawings later. 

Here's a couple of them...

I think literal hand puppet iterators are a good reminder that an iterator is more than its puppet. I can really imagine them as a giant machine waving a cute toy on a stick, a form more palatable for their audience. (Although that does make Moon being stuck in the PoV of one feel a little weirder too.) It emphasizes the way ancients likely thought of them as well. The concept is just neat.

However, I don't know if I would have fixated on iterators so hard without seeing puppets as more of a proper body. The superstructure is fantastic - but the puppet avatar makes it easier to identify with them as people and characters. The puppet being completely toylike rather than closer to a body-like vessel makes that a little more difficult. 

For a lot of stuff I’ve already written, especially interactions between ancient and iterator OCs, the size discrepancy is too much. So I just won’t adhere to giant ancients or tiny everything else hahaha

In general I mostly see myself using the snippets of ancient lore, region stuff, new creatures. If possible, I'd like to see what secrets can be uncovered about the new regions. 

I’m not interested in using stuff like the sentient rot when it comes to the continuities I more deeply engage with. My opinions may continue to evolve over time, we’ll see. But these are my thoughts after a few days of processing.

I also mentioned this before in DMs, but I want to point something out.

Wukong gave Macaque a peach popsicle after the fight with Azure. At this point into their relationship, they're only jsut to the point of beginning to reconcile, not quite trusting each other yet, but the first thing Wukong does is give Macaque a peach flavored treat. Is this because he's just extending an olive branch? Did he somehow get his hands on more immortal peaches and made modern treats out of them to make it so they last longer for his friend who needs to regularly invest them to manage his chronic sickness? A little bit of both?

Wukong 100% planted a divine peach tree or two on FFM from whatever pits he had left over.

I *love* the idea that when Wukong realised his bestie-turned-rival was alive again, he started thinking of ways to add the Peaches of Immortality to modern day snacks/sweets so Mac wouldn't have to wait potentially months or even centuries for a new dose.

In the lore; the special Life-Extending Peach trees in the Celestial Realm supposedly only fruit every 3,000 years (300 celestial years?), and two other variants that take 6,000 (makes you light as air and youthful) and 9,000 (super boosted first variant) years respectively. This is why so much of the harvest is converted into Peach Wine that the immortals can sup on throughout the orchard's fallow season. And why the Peach Banquet is so important to the Queen Mother. There *is* a possibility that there are other sections of the royal orchard that were planted at different times to make the waits a little shorter tho. Irl peach trees take about 3-4 years to grow to fruiting sizes, so the Immortal Peaches could take a few hundred years to sprout anything on Earth - unless someone crossbred them with local peach trees to shorten the amount of time needed.

Also! Hilarious thing I discovered while looking up peaches; the specific trees Wukong is assigned to as an Peach Orchard Attendant are called "Pan Tao/Coiled Peaches" aka "Doughnut/Saturn Peaches"! My fave variant! Ironically in chinese mythos "Saturn" is an earthquake star god - A Stone/Earth Monkey to look after the Earth God's Peaches.

Wukong seems like the sort of guy to plan way ahead when it comes to his fave fruit. Even as a little monkey I could see him eating a Peach of Immortality and deciding to plant the pit or graft a few sticks onto a FFM tree so those on earth could enjoy them. The grafting (basically Frankenstein-ing a divine peach fruiting branch onto a normal peach tree) in particular would produce a tree with hybrid fruit!

The hybrid fruit could act like a "lower dosage" for Macaque's condition, and still treat him albeit requiring more frequent consumption.

And with Wukong's special interest in medicine and herbalism; why stop there?

He could use the little islands around the archipelago for breeding new variants of peaches and other prunus fruits he can graft on to. He'd be more interested in the medicinal/healing properties than the "makes you live for hundreds of years" part, so he could accidentally make an entirely new breed of Peach that massively boosts physical health/treat rare illnesses, but also be safe for anyone not wanting the burden of living so long.

In Wukong's mind, if he could no longer treat Macaque, then he would help treat he entire world to the medicinal properties once exclusive to the Celestials.

Note: in the events of the AU, Heaven def finds out. Mostly because Wukong accidentally info-dumps during his appointments/check-ins with Lao Tzu + Nezha finds one of the FFM orchards during his bodyguard duty of the monkeys.

Xiwangmu is willing to let the peach theft be bygones IF... Wukong gives her a sapling or two for her personal orchard. The variants he's managed to cultivate are super tasty after all, and Lao Tzu wants one for his own medicinal research.

(We ended up calling them Vitality Peaches in the dms. XD)

Wukong wouldn't stop at making wine from his peach orchard; he'd make jams, desserts, canned peaches, dehydrated jellies, dried peach crisps, persipan/marizpan from the kernels, vitamin gummies, and ofc Popsicles from the juices and pulp. The Brotherhood could have eaten entire dishes made with the stuff and not realised it!

So when he confirms that Macaque is back home for good? He busting out the modern treats. He remembers Macaque not caring for the texture of ripe peaches, so a nice cooling popsicle is an easy thing to pack for the beach party without making it obvious that Wukong wants Mac to start having some again.

If Macaque learns that the peach and plum products he's been eating are in fact medicinal, Wukong can easily bluff and say the shadow monkey's immune system is 1300 years out of date and that he'd rather not have Macaque get super-sick from a modern sniffle.

Macaque secretly thinks the concern is sweet, but he really doesn't like being tricked into taking medicine. Just ask him next time okay Peaches?

Macaque will eventually figure out his condition from some digging around and his own summons to the Underworld to review his Draft Scroll. And he will be pissed that Wukong didn't tell him. Then he will hug him.

sorry if this is too personal but what was your starting point for manifesting your desired body and how long did it take you to see results? im feeling discouraged again bc i feel like i havent seen any changes, but ive also been affirming and persisting

hii my luv ♡, I apologize for the late reply. Your question is not too personal don’t worry, I would be happy to answer it.

☆ — The main thing is I kind of just wanted to look different (?) I never really had any problems with my body, however I did want to look better and was honestly really bored. It took me a while to get body results because I used to OBSESS over results, and when I would start seeing the results I would lose them after a while 😭. I would spend my entire day listening to body subs constantly no stop for hours. With time I started realizing I just have to relax and stop looking for results after only listening once. At the time I would also affirm a lot but that didn’t help all that much.

The biggest advice I can give you is :

— ★ try focusing on your self concept for about a week. I know people are always telling you to do so but it’s really important especially when you’re having any type of “blockage”.

— ☆ for about a week listen to “reprogramming your subconscious mind” affirmations videos overnight, and during the day focus on your body playlist. Try shorten it down if you think it might be too long.

When I first started manifesting my body (even till now ) I only listen to Jessica Heslop on YouTube, but there are many different people that make those types of videos. I would recommend THIS video to help with any limiting beliefs.

—★ try doing fun challenges! When I did the 3dolc x Roe challenge it was during the time when I was struggling getting results but it worked even though I had many doubts. For my 🍒 I got my results in less than a week. For other parts like my hips it took longer but maybe a month or two. Please keep in mind that I am still working and manifesting my ideal body but the results I’ve been getting so far are great.

Alright, let's talk about some details from the TOH pitch bible;

A lot of the stuff is what we've already seen and/or in line with the show. What's interesting is that King WAS a former King of Demons at one point, and we would've had an episode where he runs into his old gang and chooses Luz and Eda over them. It makes me wonder if he even had a connection to the Titan in earlier drafts, if he wasn't recognized as one back in the day because he just wasn't big enough, etc. Eda makes a deal to help remove the collar, which IS the source of King's woes, placed by a 'mysterious wizard', I wouldn't be surprised if it was Obron AKA Proto-Belos.

What gets me is that Tibbles originally started off as a friend to the protagonists, while Bump was an antagonist! Coupled with Tibbles being re-elected as mayor after Bump is deposed for corruption. I like the detail of Bump being a parasite controlling a body from the head, because it carried over into his final design with Frewin, and before we got confirmation Frewin was a separate entity, I loved the joke theory that the imp on Bump's head was the REAL Bump!!! Seems that was always the implied story of the design, I love it. Tibbles being the demon fan of human stuff would eventually become Gus instead, so this is technically Proto-Gus too…?

Interesting how Bump and Tibbles' alignments switch completely with one another, and it makes sense that with Lilith no longer the principal in the final draft, it goes to Bump, who ends up being really chill and a subversion in his own right! Interesting, but I do prefer the final Bump we got, and that's fine by me, because when the concepts aren't as interesting as the final product, it means we got the best possible version.

I've already discussed Obron and William in a separate post, and Pupa is someone we've been told about in a previous livestream. Lilith would've been both head of all covens (and not just the Emperor's Coven) AND principal at the same time, and she seems much more of a jerk to Eda in general; She has no qualms with cursing Eda because of a direct order from Obron.

Apparently the curse would've been an AGING spell, which settles my questions on how it would've been portrayed in earlier drafts! This goes along with Eda's older look. Likewise, there would've been a subplot of Eda considering Luz's sacrifice as a way to restore her youth, which likely goes hand in hand with Obron's orders to bring Luz to her, etc. The 'Bloom of Eternal Youth' quest, which Eda and Lilith go through together as their sisterly relationship is explored, feels like a carryover from this past idea.

I think I prefer the final draft; I like that the curse isn't just aging Eda, but also takes away her magic, makes her turn into a beast, etc. I like Lilith being a lot more complicated in her relationship with Eda, instead of just hating her and cursing her without hesitation. The redefining of the curse makes it less about age, and more a chronic illness metaphor, and I like how Eda in the final draft is upfront about having to learn to live with it, deal with it, on her own terms. She isn't trying to find a cure (although Lilith being promised one by Obron feels like a carryover of Eda's moral dilemma with Luz), and that adds another nice dimension to her conflict with Lilith, as well as Gwen. It's pretty frank in its own right about normalizing disability, and those who play an antagonistic role (however brief) are the real weirdoes for making such a fuss about it.

The Bat Queen would've had more of a recurring role based on the description, which saddens me; I always got the vibe she was planned for more, but between all of the other stuff the show had to juggle, plus the shortening, she ended up getting shafted despite being one of the earlier characters. Sashley, Pasha, and Bruno are also interesting, with Pasha in particular giving me freaking Philip Wittebane vibes with his grossness, beard, and anti-demon attitude; He even starts off as a potential friend to Luz because fellow human, only for his true bigotry to show. Makes me wonder if Philip ended up incorporating Pasha, we also have bodily transformation because of consuming magical stuff... P-names.

(Also, I like how in the drawing of typical Demon Realm denizens, I can see an eye demon who resembles a past drawing of Dana's!!!)

Eda was actually a late bloomer, which creates a parallel with Luz in one way, and their relationship is referred to as sisterly (in the final draft it’s explicitly maternal). So Eda wouldn't have been the talented youth, in fact things may have switched between her and Lilith; Lilith's disdain may have partially come from Eda not being as innately talented as her.

Luz and Amity's dynamic seems like it would've had Amity retain a lot of her more stand-offish, pragmatic personality even as a friend with Luz, and this would've come up more; So basically, she'd remain more like S1 Amity. That, or this part of their relationship would've lasted longer, and then we would've seen character development as Amity unlearns a lot of the issues her parents passed on. I also wonder if the Willow who cameos in the pilot was originally supposed to just be an extra separate from ‘Paulina’, but then they combined the two together.

The themes are exactly as I expected, glad to see they're still there, nothing changed! Luz becoming a witch and defying all odds to do so, putting in real work and passion. Celebrating individuality amidst conformity, plus Luz trying to impose her own fictional tropes onto the world, only to have to put that aside... Just like Wing it like Witches. It seems Amity would've had more involvement with Luz's journey to become a witch, though we still do have a carryover of that disconnect with her rant near the end of Covention.

I love the Demon Realm being situated BELOW the Human Realm, way to be subtle about being Hell you guys lol... Apparently portals to the human world are a lot rarer to find and use, which makes me wonder if the pilot's 'dimension port' doesn't have access to the human world; Meaning Amity is Luz's only way back, so her improved relationship with her is linked to getting back home. There's a gag about the Knee having service with the human world, but I can see how that didn't make the cut, for dramatic purposes; It seems like the premise for a S1 episode or at least a B-plot. Would Luz have struggled to communicate with Camila through this, or would her search for wi-fi be for mundane reasons?

Apparently Luz's magic would've required a lot more steps to complete, and I see why the show simplified things down to just glyphs. I wonder if there was always going to be the connection of glyphs as a gift from the Titan, or if the Titan and her story was going to be less intertwined in the overall narrative. There also don't seem to be nine main covens, just the many, many covens, some of which are pretty ridiculous, and Covention's sub-covens seem a callback to that.

Luz's first spell would've been levitation, and THEN she would've infiltrated Hexside, with Amity being a lot subtler about exposing Luz, though in the final draft she does figure that out as the way to go in I was a Teenage Abomination. Yeah, I prefer Light being her original spell, feels so much more symbolic and personal, etc. I wonder if the Titan is even as much of a character in early drafts, and if there's still the whole connection/relationship with the land and learning to respect it aspect. Some of these hypothetical episodes push the idea of Amity as a more episodic, typical popular kid antagonist, though in the final draft, the show goes through her character development and explores Amity's romantic relationship with Luz and its complications.

It seems the idea of the Mirror Ghost was split into Adegast and Vee, with Adegast being the one who offers the easier narrative for Luz to believe in about becoming a witch (only to be a fraud who uses uncanny puppets), and Vee being a doppelganger whom Luz communicates through with mirrors. Interesting how Yesterday's Lie was born from this. We saw the test animation from Spencer Wan for TOH, so I guess we know what Luz's puppet-doppelganger is called! And we can safely call her Proto-Vee. I wonder if she also would've been a sympathetic character, I always thought she reminded me of Lake from Infinity Train (and speculated her to be as such since Enchanting Grom Fright), and now the similarities are even MORE apparent!

Alas, The Good Witch Azura, or 'The Unassuming Princess' seems like it'd have been a lot less dear to Luz's heart, as the pilot also reflects; In the end, it turns out the author is just Eda's ex using her adventures as basis, and including private information. I remember when I once speculated that Raine, before we saw their face, would've been just like this as the author of Azura... Again, I think I prefer Azura as being a lot less mean-spirited in the final draft, and instead a celebration of who Luz is as a person, her relationship with fantasy and fiction, etc. We also would've had a Luz birthday party, the Quincenera we've been hoping for since S1...! In the final draft (and episode) we still get that Human-Demon Realm disconnect, though by that point, Luz is much more attuned and chill with the isles.

There’s definitely more of an episodic, sitcom feel to this pitch bible, especially when you compare Proto-Yesterday’s Lie to its final version. Makes sense, Dana is pitching this to Disney executives, though her statement on Understanding Willow feeling truly like her show makes me wonder if she always intended to push TOH in that more serious, emotional route we got.

Dragons:TNR Jörmungandr redesign (rework?) concept

(Also I know that my design pushes beyond limits of TNR animation in more than one way but here I just had fun lol)

I feel like he is not intimidating enough in original. He is very small for an "Apex predator of all dragons" (and let's remember that TNR has Giants Realm so-). I expected him to slide way longer when he was escaping his prison. He also had a lot of troubles with catching dragons (it was honestly sad to watch) And yes, as far as I know snakes are expecionally challenging to rig and animate and TNR doesn't have movie-level budget, but c'mon. It's The Final Boss. (*I think that in concept art he actually is longer so perhaps they shortened him to make animation easier (and cheaper??) considering mad speed seasons were coming out)

Sidenote - that poor danger noodle had so little of any kind of build up. It's really sad. And the first time we see him live he: did shitty jumpscare (build up was actually decent imo, but sound effect and bad animation humbled it), had short, off-screen fight with Sky Torcher after which he didn't even kill him (though he did at least leave some nasty scars and broke Torchie's tooth), and then fucked away. For me it was very underhelming.

Coming back to the design. I really don't like his colors. He got wings but to compensate I decided that he's not a good flier. In my mind he is an ambush hunter. And I know that THE Jörmungandr, the spawn of Loki from the myths, did not have wings, and this is pretty consistent as far as I know, but it is not THE Jörmungandr, so yeah

He is in some way mix between King Cobra, Moray Eel and sea snakes (Yellow-Lipped Sea Krait mostly). I changed his hood to be more similar in construction to a king cobra. In short, it is a bit of loose skin and ribs with the ability to move. In my design, the tips of some of the ribs poke through the skin. Now I don't think TNR would be able to animate it (But i'm not very familiar with 3D animation, especially for shows) so in show he probably would just have hood always flared. His head and sail are inspired by mooray eel because they are dope and I love them. I feel that aspects of sea snakes have died in design - they have a paddle at the end of the tail, but this has already been included in the OG design, so I don't feel the need to talk about it. However, like Sea Krait, Jörmungandr is semi-aquatic. He is much slower on land than in the water, but the difference is not as great as with Sea Krait.

I increased his size - and if he wasn't inprisoned he probably would be about 15-25% longer by now. He's old enough to be a Titan Wing but he isn't normal size - he stopped growing a bit after outgrowing average dragon of his species (let's remember that Red Death is Titan Wing as well!).

*Jörmungandr is longer but Red Death is more massive. Avarage serpents are slightly shorter than Red Death as well.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I didn't overkill it with his size. On the one hand he is large, on the other hand he is mostly long and not that massive. Idk

In addition to the scars, I think Jörmungandr would also be covered with small amounts of moss and other vegetation that started growing on him when he wasn't really active (his cave is very wet/moisty). To survive he spent almost his entire life in a state of brumation, being more active when he sensed meal approaching his reach.

Now, in my mind The Jörmungandr is the name of this particular dragon, not the whole species (Midgard Serpents? IDK), and at the same time he is not a "real" Jörmungandr from the myths. Because words cannot describe how I hate that plot.

I don't know how exactly he got his name but I think it was not because of how big he is, but because of his intelligence and mischievous soul. Again, idk.

Jörmungandr is a tragic dragon. In my version he was not trapped by Hiccup (in my version Hiccup never come back to Hidden World, because c'mon. I don't really like THW but if TNR is continity to that franchise they should follow established canon and not wreck last movie and make it completely insignificant. It loses all it's value if Hiccup, his family and perhaps other vikings, just come back and maybe even lived in the Hidden World anyway! If we have to have human marks and structures, etc. in the Hidden World, I would do it more in the style of “Haddock's Cycle” than “Hiccup and Tom.” Essentially, the creator of these changes is perhaps one of Hiccup's descendants, Tom's ancestors - the "soul of the dragon" that Hiccup and before him his mother had, summoning them to the world of dragons to see "Is it finally time? ”, but it never is, not yet anyway. Idk, I'm trying lol)

I have two concepts: There was once a main entrance to his part of the Dark Realm accompanianed by the waterfalls of magma, but now there's only basalt wall. This would make the closure possible for natural reasons and give Tom an opportunity to show off his geoligical knowledge some more.

Or he was caged in human-build prison, but not by Hiccup. I did that little sketch of how his page in Dragon Book could look in this scenario. Clearly different artstyle than Hiccup's to show that he was not the one to write about this individual (tho in show there's already different styles so--) But at the second thought it can be just illustration for species as whole, so anyway

In both cases, there are ways to enter his personal prison but he is too large to use them. They are still usefull as this is the only way prey will come to his reach. Not many dragons can escape his jaws.

He has spent most of his life in a rather hostile environment to which he was not adapted, which has left scars on his body and psyche. When he's not hunting, he sleeps. Hunger has halted his growth.

Jörmungandr is a damaged, dangerous dragon, the victim of fate and unknown past.

The psychological damage has made him hyper-aggressive, even by the standards of an already aggressive species. I don't think he could ever satiate his hunger either - if he could he would hunt and eat until he consumed everything in range or died of overeating.

For this dragon, it seems too late for a happy ending, unfortunately.

Now about the Midgard Serpents (placeholdern name, I have no idea how to name them) as a whole. Apex Predator may be a bit much, given the existence of dragons like Red Death, Purple Death or Bewilderbeast. However, Midgard Serpents remain one of the dragons that feed almost exclusively on other dragons (and sometimes even other members of their own species - they're cannibalistic), and they're damn good at it. When they feel best in the water, they can follow their prey in the sky or on land. They grow quite large and still are able to take down prey more massive than themselves (mostly thanks to venom and poisonous gas).

I think they are the main predators of 'Deaths and Bewilderbeasts (and other equally large dragons) in the earlier stages of life.

Assistant Manager Kim Hates Idols — Kim Iwol, an exploited office worker, wakes up as the next member of his manager’s daughter’s favorite idol group. I love it because the more you learn about Iwol, the more you realize he’s a Freakk. His pre-transmigration life is so horrible it’s funny, and his System is mean to him too 😭

The Trashy PD Has to Survive as an Idol — Seo Hoyun, an unethical TV producer who “evil edits” idol shows for drama and ratings, transmigrates to a parallel world and needs to debut to return home. I like it because Hoyun is a petty bitch and straight up a bad person <3

Why you should read it:

Chung Myung is a real freak. He's got a bad personality. He's been compared to a rabid shih tzu.

It’s not a power fantasy, and it doesn’t just follow an OP protagonist around. The biggest regret of Chung Myung’s first life was focusing on his own strength instead of ensuring his sect’s survival, so there’s a lot emphasis on the supporting characters’ growth.

It's SO funny. Again, Chung Myung has a personality that makes everyone want to throttle him at all times.

It's touching. This is what I love most about RotMHS, apart from Chung Myung's personality. Given how funny and batshit insane he is, you tend to forget that he watched everyone he loved die in front of him. His grief hits when you've let your guard down and is all the more effective because of it.

It has great prose and some of the best action sequences l've read in a translated novel.

It respects women. Whenever men look down on her, Yu Iseol viciously crushes them. Tang Soso also has a massive girl crush on her because of it. They’re very sweet.

The webtoon is INCREDIBLE. Incredible character design - no two characters look similar, down to the silhouettes. Not everyone is deathly pale, and monolids exist!! The composition, especially for fight scenes, is striking. It also stays very true to the novel. You can tell the artists love it.

Park Moondae is a fascinating character and unreliable narrator. He cares a lot about others even if he thinks he doesn't, and doesn't realize that people care about him too.

Later on, there's an interesting mystery surrounding how and why he's in Park Moondae's body, what happened to the original Moondae, and what happened to his past identity, Ryu Gunwoo.

It has a good webtoon adaptation too!

I see people comparing him to Cale from TCF because they're both schemers, but l disagree. Hoyun is actually a bad person. If being a gaslighting male manipulator was an Olympic sport, he would be the gold medalist. Is he irredeemable though? Probably not...

The fact that his brother remembers him from pre-transmigration is intriguing and unique for this genre.

He's very protective of people he considers his own, which at first was just his brother. It's sweet to see his group members slowly be added to that list.

Since like….you mentioned humans having a shorter lifespan because of a lack of spark in their diet I kinda assumed that 80 years was the max amount of time we could go without one (for average lifespan). So how do you think bulkhead and wheeljack would feel upon finding out that Miko basically needs to eat a spark every so often? Would they even notice that it’s required at first and just think it’s optional for a while? Would they be surprised that she passed the average human lifespan without much issue? If/when they do figure it out, would they just turn a blind eye for their sparkling friend? Do you think other bots/the cons would make comments about her the same way people say things like “your cat will eat you when you die?”

I know Miko would be absolutely thrilled at the longer lifespan, wings, claws etc. This is basically nothing but a bonus for her. But I’m very curious about how everyone else would adapt to it. Do you think more morally dubious transformers would try and “get” a spark so that their friend could live longer?

Let me set down some biology lore for you.

Humans are supposed to eat a spark within the first twenty years of their lives. It's needed for them to develop properly, if not humans will experience a whole array of problems one of the main ones being their shortened lifespan. Most of the human body's “problems” can be traced back to spark deficiency, like why the appendix explodes or the spine being unable to heal itself. Since the kids have eaten a spark before twenty then this is not an issue. Physically speaking all of their spark needs are met.

Physically speaking.

While humans after metamorphosis are much more superior to their un-evolved form at the end of the day they are still organics, and organics aren't supposed to live thousands of years. If a human doesn't consume a spark after a certain number decades pass they will go insane. Slowly the human will start mentally breaking down, slipping into a state similar to that of rabies. The spark's energy keeps the brain in check, and helps it process all the years that have passed. It will depend on the human’s mental stability and the spark but on average you can assume a human needs to eat a spark every at minimum every 1,000 years or so. However those years are added every time they eat, not just resetting the timer. If the human eats five sparks in one sitting then can wait 5,000 to eat another one.

I doubt Unicron wouldn't go a day without constantly reminding the kids the importance of eating cybertronians. So they are well aware of the need for it, but telling the autobots about it? Hmm not so likely.

People tend to think the autobots would be unaware of their charges’ lifespan but I think it should be the opposite, they should be too aware. They are almost always thinking that these little kids that they absolutely adore are going to die extremely soon. So Bulkhead and Wheeljack almost immediately notice when Miko hasn't been aging. They don't bring it up at first for fear of breaking whatever spell is keeping her young; however, they eventually do talk to her about it. She tries to avoid it at first because she doesn't want to scare them but Miko quickly folds and confesses the truth. Both them are horrified but on some level happy. They get to keep their little eldritch bird for a much longer time and potentially forever.

So yeah they turn a blind eye.

In fact they are probably storing immobilized half dead mechs they had fought/found in random caves like a very disturbing chipmunk.

Hey, I love your fics! I just wanted another perspective on this:

Do you think Foggy and Matt are codependent in any sort of way? (Especially Foggy?)

Hey, friend! I'm glad you've been enjoying my fics! ❤️And I'm so sorry it has taken me so damn long to answer this ask, I've had it on my mind for weeks now, but I've been nonstop sick for months, so trying to sit down and write up an answer with a coherent response has been difficult. I didn't want to just give a brief little response to this question (and we all know I'm always long-winded) because I mean...that's a big topic. I'll give a longer answer beneath the cut on this, but I will say, since we have DDBA out, I will be giving my thoughts with DDBA spoilers below the cut. So do not read below the cut if you don't want spoilers!

My shortened answer to this (solely based on the Netflix and Disney show versions, I haven't read enough of the comics to comment), is that I think yes, they do have a codependent relationship. Foggy with how he pushes away his own needs and comes running to help Matt whenever he needs it, and well...Matt with everything when it comes to Foggy. But I believe it's Matt who is mainly reliant on Fog instead of the other way around. I'll explain more beneath the cut (with DDBA spoilers! this is my last warning 😆).

So in regards to Foggy in particular, I can definitely see it. I mean, they somehow intern at the same place after law school. And maybe it was just luck they got accepted together because of their grades, but I'm guessing they both applied there intentionally wanting to keep being around each other. Then they open a law firm together, and they're always spending all their time together. Besides Karen, we don't often see them spending a lot of time with anyone else as friends--and Karen is BOTH of their friends. Though, Foggy at least eventually has Marci, and Matt, well, I guess he gets Elektra and Frank? If you squint really hard?

Now, when it comes to the law firm, they have differing views. Foggy clearly is the one who wants to take on cases that are going to make them money, but Matt is the one focused on helping people in general--which leads to them not really making money to pay their bills. And Foggy has expressed his thoughts on that in the past, but yet he still follows along with Matt's vision of the firm. Foggy could've easily gone his separate way at least career-wise to better himself, but instead he keeps himself tied with Matt. Even after he learns Matt's big secret and they briefly end the friendship and the firm, they still eventually reopen Nelson & Murdock back up together because Foggy clearly can't just walk away from Matt.

We also see Foggy rushing to help Matt whenever he needs it after he discovers Matt is Daredevil--finding him on the roof in season 2 and making sure he got back to his apartment without being seen, making sure Matt gets medical attention from Claire, bringing him the suit when he goes into Midland Circle, covering for Matt on cases when he's clearly distracted and being a bad business partner. All things that're putting Foggy out or putting him in a bad position, yet he does whatever he needs to anyway for Matt.

There's countless times that Foggy puts his own needs on the backburner to help Matt in the show. So yes, I definitely think you could argue there's a level of codependency there, and I think Foggy excuses it in himself because of Matt's dependency on him. Because of Matt's tragic childhood and fear of abandonment, Foggy seems to feel the need to go above and beyond to not be another person to abandon him. But I think the way they respond to losing each other says the most, and to me really points at Matt being the codependent one in the relationship. I've often seen Foggy as more of just the best friend who's maybe a little codependent, but mostly just a little too empathetic because of their friendship. Matt is the one who absolutely needs Foggy to live and breathe.

When season 3 starts and Matt is believed to be dead, Foggy accepts it. He's grieving, yes, but he moves on and lives his life. We don't see him spiraling or questioning anything like Karen. We don't see his life somehow upended. Instead, Foggy gets a good job at a good law firm and seems to get closer in his relationship with Marci. Whereas in contrast, when Matt loses Foggy in Born Again, he's a mess. On the outside, yes, it seems the same. Matt has a nicer law firm, nicer apartment, steady girlfriend. But he's literally given up half of himself, he carries Foggy's funeral card in his suit coat pocket every day, and he cannot even say Foggy's name. He is a mess inside that he is just barely carefully holding together because he lost the one person he needs. I think it could be argued that he becomes so fixated on being the Matt Foggy wanted him to be to try to cope with the grief and guilt, but also I think he does it as a way to handle the loss of that person Matt relied on to feel whole. It's like his way to still somehow feel connected to Foggy because he still needs him.

I think it becomes very obvious how much Matt needs Foggy in Born Again more than Foggy ever seemed to really need Matt in the same way. Whenever Foggy isn't in Matt's life--even just when they lose the friendship over his secret in the beginning of Daredevil--Matt falls apart entirely while Foggy keeps thriving and living his life. That doesn't mean Foggy isn't grieving and struggling, but honestly, I feel like Foggy doesn't respond in the way I feel like someone would when they lose their "crutch." Matt is the one who uses Foggy as his emotional crutch, I don't get the feeling that it's the other way around.

Those are my thoughts written as briefly as I could get them, hopefully this answered your question a bit and made sense! I'm still getting over yet another illness and I could have probably sat down and written an entire essay more in depth on this, but I was trying to be more straight to the point about how I view their relationship. This already got pretty long, but honestly, there's a lot to analyze when it comes to Matt and Foggy. And I know there's little details I'm missing because I haven't had a full rewatch in a bit, but I was trying to cover what I felt was the most important! But there's clearly an imbalance in the relationship, and I think we all know who is really relying on who in that friendship.

In the Sound Hashira estate, you are busy washing the dishes after dinner, humming to yourself. Unbeknownst to you, Tengen comes up behind you while you are washing and holds your shoulders. You glance at him but seem to be distracted with your own thoughts “Ah my love!” you smile at him glossy-eyed. Tengen chuckles. "Look at me~" He says in a soft tone, then kisses your cheek.

You fully turn to look at him and hold on to his arms. He smirks and leans down “You look even more lovely than usual." He says in a confident tone. You offer a sweet smile “Thank you, it really-" as soon as you saw Suma enter the kitchen, you turned around and began to hurriedly finish washing the plates. He removes his hand with your movement, and walks over to Suma, embracing her for a moment.

They begin whispering to each other, so quietly that you can not even understand what they are being so secretive about. You dry your hands with the dish towel and start to stride out of the kitchen doors while exclaiming, “Alright, dishes done! Gonna prepare for my nightly walk!” You made the mistake of stealing a glance at them, Suma nods “Alright! Stay safe” while Tengen is staring at her.

As you put up your hair, you remember the good days, when it was just you and Tengen, with Makio in the works of being introduced, and he would be the one to introduce these walks, making jokes about how he would protect and serve you on the streets… His large hands grabbing yours as you two “stride with pride” just for fun.

Now, these walks consist of you walking around popular areas of the city with your hands grazing the potted plants and smiling at other locals in your neighborhood. You take your time admiring at a snails pace, as it is the only time you feel at ease.

Arriving back to the estate, you knock on the door and feel uneasy. Hina opens the door and ushered you in, hugging you as you pass by. “You worried me! This walk was longer than yesterdays!” she scolded. You groan playfully, “Sorry mom” you stick your tongue out, “I’ll make it short tomorrow I promise… maybe.” You jog into the living room, where Suma is reading while Makio stands up. You yawn as Makio walks up to you. She whispers “It’s about time we get to sleep in his arms, we have to fight” she pouts. You nod as you grab her hand and go upstairs.

Tengen always lays in bed first, and enjoys us 4 fight for who gets to be closest to him for the night. It used to be really fun, until it wasn’t, and you just fit in whatever spot was left, as you used to take your walks a little later. Tengen noticed the later times, and told you to please either shorten the distance or walk earlier, as he missed your touch. It made your heart swell, and you were a little nervous to be so close to him. It had been about 2 weeks since you were this close in bed.

In your pajamas, you walk into the master bedroom to see Makio to his left. He smiles when he sees you, and you look down shyly. “y/n, finally” You avoid his gaze as you crawl to his side, his strong arms holding your waist as your head lay on his chest. The other wives join, and Tengen does his ritualistic ‘I love you all’ speech that makes everyone chuckle, followed by soft i love you too’s. Eventually everyone is sleeping soundly, except for you. Tengen’s snoring, paired with your over thinking was too much.

You imagine him kissing your forehead saying that you are his brilliant diamond, like he used to say often when it was just you two. Even with Makio and Suma, he would regularly say he loved and appreciated you, but its been a while. All you end up excited about for three times a week is your nanny job for Senjuro, Rengoku Kyojuro’s younger brother, as well as the butterfly mansion girls. You had a knack for bonding with children, and had good home making skills.

Tengen had envisioned and hyped you up about having children of your own the first year you were married, but now it has been 3 years of growing family in the opposite direction. “Was I really the brilliant diamond he cherished, since he felt he needed 3 more?” you thought to yourself. Your head eventually started to hurt, as your mind drifted to what lies ahead tomorrow. At least Tengen was warm…

“So, you’re CT-3937 now?”

The voice is perfectly neutral, but Clarry still has to supress a flinch as she nervously turns to face the vode in blue and gold armour.

“That would be me.”

She has never met the troopers before, but she knows exactly who they are. CT-3936 and CT-3939. Keys and Flick. CT-3937’s batchmates. This is just another one of countless awkward reunions as GAR troopers finally come to check on their Guard batchmates, only to find that the numbers they are looking for no longer belong to the person they left behind.

“How does this work? Do we call you Zip too, or…?”

“No! No.” She shudders. “We reuse the numbers, but the names remain unless absolutely required.”

“Ok. That… makes this easier.” She watches as some of the tension drains out of them, the vod with gold accents stepping forward from their place at their partner’s shoulder.

“In that case, what is your name? We’re Flick and Keys, both he/him, but I guess you already knew that?”

“I’m Clarry, she/they. Originally Claret, for the red,” she gestures at her armour, “but then there was an incident a couple of weeks after I arrived and everyone started calling me Clarion instead.”

“What sort of an incident? If you don’t mind saying.” She blushes.

“It’s kinda embarrassing, but, well. I was in the freshers after my shift, indulging in my water ration before catching the end of latemeal, and the pipe breaks. So I’m standing there in just my skin, being blasted by absolutely freezing water, and swearing up a storm, loud enough-”

“-to be heard in the messhall. I remember Zip telling us about that.”

“Oh! So you’re ‘colder than a Hutt’s hind on Hoth’. The story went around just before the 501st had a pass through Mygeeto, and the phrasing caught on.”

“Really? I can’t believe… Anyway, just as I was winding up, Commander Thorn stuck his head in, complimented me on my diction and use of acoustics, and offered me a place on one of his riot squads. I couldn’t decide whether to be more flattered or mortified! The jokes lasted for weeks, but I decided to keep the nickname even if I mostly end up shortening it.”

Laughter rolls through the little group, and Clarry feels some of her own tension leaving. It is nice to know that she is not entirely new to them, that even gone, Zip is helping to smooth their first meeting.

She watches as the other two look at each other, a twinge of jealousy striking as an entire conversation is held in aborted gestures and flickers of expression. After a brief back and forth, the vod in blue, Keys, turns back to face her. 

“Look. …oh Force this is awkward. But here goes. We knowyou’re not Zip, and you won’t ever be Zip – no-one can truly replace him. But according to all the records you are CT-3937. So that means that technically we’re batchmates. If… if you want to be?”

Clarry thinks about her own batchmates, lost even before CT-9845 ‘died’. She thinks about her inherited comm, with its group chat that she never quite had the heart to block; the way that watching Flick and Keys banter was a balm after a long shift, the way they still addressed the occasional comment to Zip even as she refused to message them in his stead. She thinks about how this is supposed to be a time of new beginnings and celebrating their survival.

“I’d like to try.”

He didn’t care how you felt about him, now there was really no leaving him. He had helped you get rid of a body after you accidentally murdered someone, there’s no coming back after that. You can’t even blame him for it because he made sure he that he left no traces behind, but your dna was under the nails of the attacker, your fingerprints were on the murder weapon that he conveniently forgot to burn, and you were the last one seen with the deceased. If anything, the second you act out of line he’s threatening to expose you to everyone. He’d never actually do it, but he’s very good at making you think he will.

Yandere!Zhongli would simply sigh in frustration. Of course he’s more than willing to help cover up your crime, after all he doesn’t wish to see his beloved rotting away in a cell. He never lets you live it down though, using the haunting memory of it to constantly beat you down mentally.

“Don’t go acting all innocent now, you’ve already killed a man, breaking a vase should feel like nothing to you. You’re a murderer after all.” Zhongli’s smile was pleasant and gentle looking, but his tone was anything but. He stood over you as you knelt on the floor, weeping over his reaction to you breaking a prized vase of his. Of course he had expected you to accidentally break it at some point, having replaced all his original artworks with replicas, but he had still found joy in bringing up your haunting little secret every chance he got.

Yandere!Raiden would do nothing personally. She’d instruct some of her faithful servants to handle it, keeping you locked inside Tenshukaku with her for a while. She doesn’t bring it up, but you can tell with the way she looks at you, that she’s upset with you.

Another silent meal, another long hour spent awkwardly eating your food as she sat across the table from you staring you down unblinkingly. It wasn’t that she stared at you, it was something you had actually grown rather used to, but the way she stared at you. Like a mother catching their child sneaking desserts before dinner or a father catching his son playing with his tools. That look of sheer disapproval. You didn’t know how much longer you could stand it.

Yandere!Furina is conflicted. On one hand, she doesn’t want her citizens to think she favors you above justice, but on the other, she knows you’ll be deemed guilty and locked up and she simply can’t bear to be without you. So she calls for a private hearing and keeps the case under tight surveillance. Of course, the family of the victim has no idea that the whole trial is fake, has no idea that the way you cry as you're dragged out of the courtroom to an awaiting prison is all an act, one very carefully constructed by Furina and her closest confidant, Neuvillette. 

Furina feigns heartbreak as she watches you get hauled out of the courtroom. She’s decided to overrule your sentencing and punish you herself in your shared home. In the basement of the lavish manor she had a special cell prepared for you, where you would fulfill your shortened sentence. This is so that you understand the severity of your crimes without her having to give up her time with you. Furina doesn’t think you deserve to spend any time behind bars, considering it was an accident, but she’s the Archon of Justice and the family of the deceased demanded something be done.

We have the beta version, the 1st design.

2nd Version, the redesigned: much taller, longer hair, robotic? prosthetic arm, sometimes even with a scruff.

3rd Version: shortened and recoloured hair, red pants, and skeletal prosthetic arm, much more menacing??? — ( formerly to be the design of the WH Behind the Rainbows which took the Bad Ending route, —but was changed to be Dodo’s own project or story out of the WH fandom ).

Dodo had planned for different endings, The True Ending and The Happy Ending, which either one where he remarries Julie and revives Ophelia, his daughter, and in the other ending where he ends up with his Assistant.

And the Bad Ending, where Walden regenerates a skeletal prosthetic arm, loses his memories of the ones he loved, and goes berserk.

YourInternetMom uses the 2nd Design of RF Wally, and has confirmed there is only one canon timeline ending in the revamped which hasn’t been revealed yet. ( out of her Welcome to the Rainbow Factory fanfic of course ).

With slight few changes.

-Confirmed that YourInternetMom’s Walden is autistic.

-Less cat-like behaviours compared to Dodo’s Walden. ( he’s immune to catnip and doesn’t get drunk on milk anymore, but still consists of his occasional purring, toe beans, dilating of pupils, being puffed up during winter season ).

-Canon he doesn’t smoke nor does he like it, and he can’t cook.

Changes in the storyline would be:

-From what I’ve heard, in Dodo’s version, Walden’s mom died from drinking poisoned tea given by him unknowingly, but planned by Wallace.

-In InternetMom’s version, it’s the same concept, but Francine, Walden’s mom, knew about the poison and the deal Wallace had with Harold, to make his son successful in life in exchange for Francine’s. Wallace didn’t know she knew.

-Dodo’s version was Walden and Julieanne falling in love and getting married after adopting Ophelia.

-but in InternetMom’s version; Walden and Julieanne were in an arranged marriage somewhere around 18-20 years old by their parents and didn’t see much of each other as romantic interests, except later on on Julieanne’s part. They got divorced 5 years later. ( I think??? )

-Dodo’s version of Walden losing his arm was from a tree that fell on him when he was 18.

-InternetMom’s version was him losing his arm to a machinery he tried to fix when he was 15, and Barnaby was there to help him out. ( The machinery accident was purposely caused by Harold/ Home ).

-In Dodo’s version, Ophelia’s death was caused by a sudden seizure and Walden found her.

-In InternetMom’s version, Ophelia died by falling into the grinder chasing a butterfly while Walden was preoccupied by late work stuff— but the seizure was kept as a cover-up from Walden of how she actually died. ( The butterfly and the grinder turning on was from Home btw 💀 bro really loves messing with the Darling Family ).

Our story starts about 200 hundred years from now, in the throes of an absolute mess of an intergalactic war between the W (i can never remember the name for them, lmao. they're a letter now) and the Alliance (also shortened from their real name). The W used to be a solar system civilization with a rapidly growing population - and the only way to sustain it was to take invade other planets, other star systems, and absorb them into its empire. This continued on until they'd amassed a good third of the entire galaxy, and a hefty chunk of the other civilizations in the galaxy fought back against their growth (this is the Alliance)

Now, after about a century of expansion and increasing corruption, W had a huge internal conflict because of his absolutely bonkers massive and diverse it was, and the people rose up to overthrow their shitty government and instate a new one. This was all fine and dandy,, except that the W's people encompassed so many star systems that it was damn near impossible to create any sort of political coherence.

With the fall of the W, the Alliance took this opportunity to fill the power vacuum it had left behind (it stopped expanding), qnd essentially tried to take the land back by force. This entire conflict -with people wanting to leave the W, people wanting to stay, and people wanting to split the W into a million pieces and take it for thier own (thanks Alliance) - splintered hundreds of factions off of the Big Two, each with their own agenda

This is where our story really starts (yeah, i know) (It gets worse, don't worry)

Decades after the Fall of the W, the conflict had come to a bloody standstill. The Alliance was sick of this. Everyone was sick of this. The Alliance decided to consult their council of their greatest scientists and 'magic' users (call them the Sorcerers. they're basically the Alliance's secret ace card up their sleeve) and told them "hey, we need you to build a really big, stupidly powerful weapon so we can settle this whole mess."

Naturally, the Sorcerers, who were barely restrained from actually just overthrowing the Alliance and more than a little unhinged, went "sure, why not lmao"

So, they all rolled up their sleeves and collected a bunch of the most ancient objects with still-traceable signatures they could procure from some dingy little planet, which was more of a dumping ground for the Alliance than anything, (Aerth? Oarth? Something like that) and pulled whatever/whoever had the most contact with it the longest time ago, through the time stream.

It didn't matter what, or who came through. What mattered, was that when something was pulled through time like this, it collected residual energy while slipping through the tunnel from one time to the next. The more time between the jump, the more energy (imagine this like... a really glowy rainbow waterslide. the longer the slide, the more soaked you will likely become as you go through it)

... this was more of an art than a science, they had to admit.

They'd only managed to get one of the two initial trials to even work -

(somewhere, a million miles away, a young girl found herself on what seemed to be an abandoned fight jet, floating in the dead of space) (when she found the pilots chair, it was covered in blood)

-and they couldn't even manage to extract the damn energy from the Earth boy they'd caught properly. It refused to listen to them, inextricably intertwined with his soul - whatever that was to them - as it was, and whatever cracks they'd managed to make in the spiritual vessel only manifested in a pair of strange appendages on his back (the wings), and a incredible unstable energy core.

So they figured, as one does, that if they couldn't take the energy out of him to make a weapon, they might as well train him to harness the energy and become the weapon they need
