So, I've been rereading Lucifer and his Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Relationship by @keelywolfe and their sleeping arrangements always get me. Alastor being an aggressive little spoon tickles me every time without fail.

This is how I imagine their night goes whenever they try to start with Alastor as the big spoon. It doesn't last very long before he's back in his preferred position suffocating Lucifer

i like to think jim is DEEP in that cat brain (not because the transporter malfunctioned any differently for him as opposed to bones. but because he is just Like That honestly). bones is the sort of... almost humanly intelligent flavor of cat. except he retains his 24/7 anxiety and jumps three feet every time someone sneezes too suddenly. and jim knocks shit off spock's counter all the fucking time so bones just eats shit all the fucking time lmfao

2-3 months after the war has ended, sonic comes back from a run. it’s nighttime, he’s exhausted, and there’s definitely a little kit he needs to get to bed too. tails hadn’t been sleep much at all after the war ended. even when sonic tucked him in, he’d lie there awake.

he was overworking himself like never before. building and upgrading machinery and gadgets like there was still a threat waiting to attack at any second.

it all worried sonic.

but when he gets to the lab, strangely all the lights are already off. he quietly enters, not wanting to disturb tails if he was already in bed.

he takes a peak into the kit’s room and his eyes soften at the sight.

barely visible through the faint glow of a nightlight he’d made for himself, sonic could tell tails was asleep. actually asleep. he was finally allowing that busy brain of his to rest after 8-9 months of nothing but constant stress. he can’t really see his face, but he can imagine that his features look peaceful for the first time since he watched his big brother “die” by infinite’s hand.

sonic smiles.

his baby brother is finally resting. maybe things were finally looking up for their little family.

A scene from Kaleidoscope a3 ch2 that I thought was funny. The last panel is a bit embellished, though, for +5 Silly.

Actual Scene:

“Hey, I’m talking to you!” Tails fumed and stomped after him. He grabbed the robot’s shoulder, but was easily shrugged off. Frustrated, Tails curled into a ball and jumped on him, giving him a solid bop square on the head. He bounced forward, landing in front of Metal with his arms spread wide. He didn’t hit him very hard, moreso intending to stop him and get his attention rather than cause damage.

Metal’s optics narrowed and he stopped. Tails was fully prepared for him to retaliate in some way, undamaged or not. Instead, the badnik simply pointed to a countdown clock that Tails hadn’t paid attention to up until now. It had about ten minutes left on it. Metal then shoved the box of cereal (or whatever it was) into Tails’ hands. Supposedly because the bowl he gave him moments ago was now strewn across the floor, flung to the side when he launched his attack.

“What, are you saying I have ten minutes to eat this?” Tails threw it over his shoulder like a petulant child. “How about you do something useful instead? Like tell me where my friends are!”
