Ok free writing prompt for anybody, but like I really want to read this as a fic, ok anyway, in the whole realm of superhero/supervillain AUs we’ve got hot guy (hero) and watcher (villain + people call him cute guy to piss him off), people think hot guy is just running around Batman style without any powers, shooting arrows and shit like he do and still manages to the get the job done, what villains are surprised by is how public perception of him is so fuckin high, like man never manages to catch the villains, is the poster boy for the government funded superhero program, generally leaves a ton of collateral damage after an encounter, and every time a villain has an opportunity to kill him they just don’t, so the villains are either individually or collectively trying to figure out why this is the case and intercept/steal or sum a file labeled “project Mr. Goodtimes” that reveals somebody has the power to manipulate people’s feelings into being overwhelmingly positive towards to something or someone, so the villains are all on the lookout for someone who follows hot guy around at every turn to create this positive PR effect, and no one really suspects it to be hot guy , due to the their subconscious being slightly altered by the powers effects like “no it definitely isn’t hot guy himself, he’s just a silly man trying his best, someone is surely manipulating him or helping him in a morally questionable way”, but on one fateful night the watcher manages to get his hands on our hot guy, accidentally knock him out or something realizes what’s really going on, he takes him and hauls him off to his base of operations because he realizes how powerful this tool is, hot guy only has a matter of days before his general effects on the whole city wear off so he must come to some kind of agreement with the watcher, like make the city turn a blind eye to his antics or whatever, not sure what his motivation as a villain is, maybe he’s like the antithesis of scar and needs to feed off of negative emotions or he’ll die, and because of that hot guy is more willing to help, even tho being kidnapped is his perfect opportunity to escape the governments hold on him, to leave the city instead of remaining a pawn for propaganda, he understand what he’s been doing is incredibly wrong and frankly horrifying, he hates himself because of it, so what’s left to lose by helping out the watcher, and obviously the more they get to know each other the more the become intrigued and that’s right this is actually all an unhinged scarian plot, get fucked.
