HALLOWEEN DAY 26: It’s a Halloween party right? - Multi!Muse x Fem!Reader
Pairing: Multimuse x Fem!Reader
Warning: Mentions of basically bullying, cursing, killing, a little graphic but nothing crazy.
Type: Blurb
Request: N/A
Word count: N/A
Prompt: Tiny blurbs of what I think the muses would act when you’re at a Halloween party with them and someone makes fun of your costume!
Notes: Why did anyone stop wearing costumes I hate this new era were in. Grow up. Wear a costume.
Jason Voorhees: Immediately killing. No doubts about that, I take Jason to be a somewhat naive character but he absolutely knows what it’s like to have someone laugh at you. Whether it’s a crude joke or a twisted sense of humor, he can put two and two together, so the party definitely goes from zero to a hundred. I don’t think he would give the other a second to correct themselves or analyze the situation, instead it’s immediate kill, ask questions later. If you ran away crying, it’s overkill and Jason would never give parties a second chance, sorry.
Michael Myers: I think if he understood it, it may take him a while, they have to be obnoxious about it. If they’re laughing and throwing stuff at you, immediately Michael springs into action. There’s so many people who dress like him anyway, there are doubts that he’s even the real thing but some the smarter of the bunch know better than to join in and make a run for it before they get caught in the crosshairs. When everyone is pinned to the walls with kitchen knives and whatever he can find, then the place gets set ablaze, it’s not like he wanted to be there in the first place.
Tiffany Valentine: Picks up on it before you do and when she does she’s coming up with the most embarrassing way to be found dead. She’s trying to be a better person, she really is but why are they laughing at you? Maybe she can give everyone else who gets their hands on the crime scene photos something to laugh about. I don’t think she would give them a second to apologize or make up for it, she’s already had their death made up in her mind. They really fucked with the wrong person.
Billy Loomis: Laughs louder but with empty eyes, these group of kids just signed their death sentence. If you’re sobbing, the more tears you shed, the more blood they will. If you’re only uncomfortable, they’re still dying, maybe not as gory but he’s still taking his time. He gets away with it too, with the help of Stu. “Come on, Stu’s parties are way better than this” he’d kiss your forehead, not caring if there’s glitter sprinkled all over him.
Stu Macher: Kind of grinning, looking at both you and whoever the hell is trying to insult your costume. “Well I think it’s really cool.” He’d say, acting nothing but stupid with a big grin. I think he would have less restraint than Billy though, he’d start getting the strays one by one, coming around acting completely clueless as to what was happening. He’s a little smug with how well he covers up what’s real blood and what’s part of the decorations. Be careful pissing off Stu, you would’ve thought people would know that by now.
Leatherface: Poor baby he would be so confused at first, the groups of people would have to literally be laughing and you’d have to have a visceral reaction to their mean words. As soon as he puts two and two together, its head empty only wants to see their guts across the room. He’s especially violent because he knows what it’s like to be made fun of by his family and by the victims. It’s not a good feeling and he would do anything to make it go away when it came to you.
Patrick Bateman: There would be light chuckles, all the way up until he notices that they’re talking about you. A pressed smile would make itself present across his face, sniffing his drink before setting it down. Swiping his tongue across his perfect front teeth, mouth closed and sticking a fist in his pocket. You insisted to dress up for the silly Halloween party, he was hesitant about allowing you, but you did look stunning in designer clothes as a tacky costume. Patrick would absolutely pull a Stu and lead the others away from the pack, one by one around the building before unleashing the most amount of rage. Spitting and yelling, blood of his victims splattered across his delightful face. “Not the fucking face you fucking fuck.” He’d groan out wiping as much as he could off with his sleeve and trying to slick back his hair as much as possible before moving to the next person.
Harley Quinn: “Whatddaya mean by that?” There would be no hesitation for Harley to have the group try to correct themselves, depending on their reactions would directly affect if and how’d they die. If they would show no remorse, Harleys face would turn into a wide smile, staring blankly at them before shrugging her shoulders then shooting them point blank in the face, one by one. If there was some kind of remorse, Harley would be judge, jury and executioner about it. “Sorry about the blood on yer costume cupcake, maybe Ivy has somethin’ for that! If not her, then maybe kitty Kat.” Nobody makes fun of her baby, if they did, then she’d make sure they wouldn’t laugh about anything ever again.
Poison Ivy: With a raised eyebrow, Pamela would know exactly whether or not how they meant it and if she didn’t, they’re wrong, it’s exactly how Pamela viewed it. You were so excited to wear a costume, Ivy even helped you get it together, you were absolutely over the moon and now, some people who thought they were too good to dress up for Halloween were laughing in front of you both. Similar to Harley, she is judge, jury and executioner. While her methods would be a little more sophisticated, they still inflict the most amount of pain. She always carried something for moments like this, where one’s blood would turn against them, making them feel like there’s venom slowly invading their veins. Maybe a prick, maybe some powder, maybe a kiss, who really would see it coming. Either way, nobody laughs at her baby.
Billy Hargrove: Would stop what he’s doing immediately to look at whoever or whatever group was laughing at you, there would be a moment of silence offered to them to get themselves together. Not many chose to laugh or keep up the act and those who did would get a real beating full of pent up rage. So what if you wanted to wear a costume, so what if you were the only one. That was the point of it no? A halloween party? These people were going to be damn near unconscious by the time he’s done with them.
Steve Harrington: All fun and games until you’re crying. “You guys take it too far!” If you ran out of the room, Steve is chasing after you immediately to console you. You’re drunk, he’s drunk, you’re both a mess but you’re crying and as a great boyfriend, he’s trying to console you. “This party’s lame anyway, let’s get out of here” he’d kiss your forehead, if you’re still pouting he’s more than happy to sit down with you. “I think you’re the prettiest fairy in the whole world. And other worlds too.” He’d wipe the tears off your face, getting a warm towel to help. “Come on. You’re so beautiful, you look amazing, everyone’s costume is a jackass I guess. But I thought we were supposed to be something different for Halloween” he’d roll his eyes, still drunkenly trying to clean you up. He’s such a catch.
Steve Rogers: Concerned eyebrows active. “Hey what did you just say” suddenly no one wants to repeat themselves and if you know anything about captain America is that he absolutely hates bullies. “It’s a Halloween party no?” Suddenly he’s heated, facing the group completely while you make yourself small behind him. Everyone’s on edge enough to try to break it up. He wasn’t surprised they’d be backtracking, but he still doesn’t accept that behavior. “Apologize” “Steve- no it’s okay.” “No. It’s not okay. Apologize” even if they did, god forbid he caught them alone while you weren’t there. “He must’ve felt left out and added some fake blood to his face to fit in.”
Bucky Barnes: Similar to Steve, he’s going to stand up for you, especially when he can tell if it really got to you. All he thinks about was about how excited you were pulling your costume together and now you were crying or about to start crying and hugging yourself wanting more than anything to go home. Bucky has a way shorter temper than Steve though and he doesn’t care if it’s in front of anyone, they’re going to apologize to you without him having to ask. After sorting that out, he’s babying you after all of this.
Loki Laufeyson: Immediately killing them, even if he’s trying to reform his ways, he still can’t stand the thought of someone else’s words humiliating you. If he doesn’t have the patience to outwit them, he’s absolutely going to kill them. You’re his baby and he will always stand up for you, he’s just a little rusty around his methods. “If you ask me, you’re the most beautiful most elegant vampiress in the universes and I’ve been to many” Loki has such a way to always make you feel like the most beautiful and important creature, if it wasn’t his words, you had a hard time believing anyone else. He worships you more than anyone on this list so it’s hard to let anyone make you feel inferior.
Cloud Strife: He doesn’t get it for a moment, not until you’re upset. When he realizes you’re upset, he follows you out. He’s not the best at comforting but when he sees you upset, he’s all over you. “You look beautiful.” He admires you, after all it’s only Clouds picky opinion that you care about. He rather spend the holiday with you instead, he’s not really much of a party guy. Cloud would absolutely wipe your tears, sit in the grass with you, walk around the town all while complimenting your costume every chance he got.
Sebastian Michaelis: Maybe not immediately killing them, but absolutely torturing them, all with a smile. If there are appearances to be made, he waits until he can find them alone. He understood every crude remark, every joke, even when they thought they could get away with it with sly comments. “You appear to be the most stunning character here Lady Y/N.” That’s enough to make you blush, after all he only has eyes for you. He encouraged you to dress up, he wasn’t lying when he said you looked gorgeous. For anyone to have the nerve to make fun of you, it would be a death wish.
Spencer Reid: He would absolutely outwit them, nobody can really keep up with his charm. He didn’t really acknowledge the joke at first, until it hit him. Both of you would be dressed up and he’s more than ready to stand up for you especially. Spencer vents to you all the time about people who think they’re too good to dress up in a costume for a Halloween party. He doesn’t need to get physical with them, but let’s say if they really crossed a line then he’ll pull some strings at the BAU.
Bruce Wayne: So what if you were the only one wearing a costume, similar to Spencer, he can absolutely outwit them. Everyone wants to please Bruce and it only takes him staring at the ones who are laughing with a straight face. The elites around him would want his validation so bad that they would also stop laughing immediately. “I don’t get it. Who are you again? New money?” Hit them where it hurts. “The dress is Hermes, fortunately they had it expedited last minute. We had a few options to sort through. Looks like a dream nevertheless.” But it was never the dress that made you look godly, it was Bruce’s love.
Jason Todd: Immediately getting violent “what the fuck did you just say” and you better hope he misheard them. It’s scary to see Jason get this worked up, but it was for you. Before you know it he’s got another guy hung up against the wall or dragged across the table by the collar of their shirt. He would comfort you afterwards, treating you to whatever you want. “You know you’re the prettiest baby at the party.” If anything they’re better off making fun of you instead of making crude comments about wanting to see what you look like under the costume, I think Jason would have to be locked up in Arkham after that if that were to happen. He’s still pulling strings with the batfam to teach them a lesson.

Hello! I love your stories. Could I request a Drabble about Wrecker being a body guard for a Princess trope? She likes him but he doesn’t think she does. And if it fits “Can you lock the door please?” From your prompt list. Thanks!
Hello friend! I'm so so so sorry that it's taken so long for me to get this out to you! I've been sitting on this for probably about a year now. So sorry! Also... it turned into a full-blown 12 page fic instead of a drabble. Hope you enjoy!!!! 😂❤️🫂

The Princess and the Wrecking Ball
Wrecker x Princess!Reader
Warnings: Loss due to wartime, small mention of blood. Mostly just some cute hurt/comfort 🥰
--------------------------------------------------
"Really Hunter?" complained Wrecker, "A princess?"
Hunter frowned and nodded. "Yes. Just for a few days." He looked around at the others for confirmation and they simply nodded.
"Why do you seem to be the only one that has a problem with this?" Hunter gestured to his brother with thinly veiled frustration. He'd never seen Wrecker this adverse to a mission before. Even when it required rappelling from treacherous heights.
"Because last time he met a princess he fell head over heels for her and she hated his guts." Crosshair spoke evenly as he sat on his bunk, cleaning his rifle.
Hunter frowned, looking back at Wrecker. "Is that what this is about?"
Wrecker looked down, shrugging nervously. He rubbed the back of his head. "I just don't like Princesses, okay? They think they're all that and then they look at you with those pretty eyes and you think you've got a chance, and you think they really like you and then they realize that you're a clone and call you a stupid, ugly mistake."
The group was silent.
Hunter cleared his throat, "Well, you don't have to get along with her. We're just supposed to transport her safely back to her uncle on Coruscant."
Wrecker crossed his arms, frowning, "Why do we gotta do it?"
"She's in danger, Wrecker." Echo explained, "and it's a favor for Senator Amidala."
"Why can't she do it?"
"She's a senator. She can't exactly sneak into Separatist territory."
"Besides," Hunter added, "The princess' uncle has offered us a lot of money to get her safely to him."
Crosshair looked up. "You mean, we're actually getting paid this time?"
"But - " protested Wrecker.
Hunter looked at him sharply. "We're going to get that princess and you're going to treat it just like another mission. That's an order. Got it?"
Wrecker groaned, "Yeah Sarge, I got it."
"Good. I don't want to hear another word about it from you."
"Do I at least get to blow something up?"
"We'll see."
Wrecker grumbled under his breath. Hunter narrowed his eyes at him but didn't say anything else.
"Well..." Tech spoke up, "Now that that's settled, I'm making a list of everything we need to requisition."
Tech held the datapad out to Echo. He looked over the list.
"I can't think of anything else."
"What about the princess?" Wrecker asked suddenly.
Crosshair sighed, "Here we go again..."
"Hey! I'm just tryin' to be helpful!"
Hunter closed his eyes, "What about her, Wrecker."
"Well uh.... Won't she need things too?"
Tech looked up, "I have included rations for an extra passenger on the way back. That will not be an issue."
Wrecker shifted awkwardly. "Yeah but... What about... women things?"
Crosshair choked on his caf.
Tech blinked, “What women things?”
Wrecker shrugged, “I saw some ad on Coruscant for it once. I don’t remember what it’s called. Think it happens like on a full moon or something, every couple rotations?"
Tech lowered the datapad in his hand to stare at his brother. “She is a woman, Wrecker... not a werewolf."
Hunter closed his eyes again and sighed, rubbing at his temples. Some days he wondered how exactly it was that they'd made it as commandos this long.
"I'm gonna go ahead and veto that one. I think it would be a little weird for a group of elite soldiers to have uh... women things.... on the ship."
Wrecker grumbled, "I was just trying to be helpful."
Crosshair nudged his shin with the butt of his rifle. "Lighten up, Wreck. We are literally getting paid to play taxi for a pretty princess. We could do this in our sleep." He chuckled, "Actually I'm pretty sure I have done something like this in my sleep."
Tech rolled his eyes. "Don't be an ass, Crosshair."
"At least I can get a woman's attention if I wanted to," he goaded.
Tech scoffed, "For your information, I have had several females ask for my com frequency."
"That's enough!" Hunter placed his hand firmly on the table. "Seriously guys? You're acting like a bunch of shiny regs. This is a mission. We're going to act like professionals."
"Have we ever really been professional?" quipped Tech.
Hunter sighed, "Let me rephrase that. We're going to do this just like we've done any other extraction. We get in, grab the target, get out. Got it?"
A chorus of "yes, sir"s announced the end of the discussion.
---
The smooth finish of the once beautiful wood floor felt cold on your cheek as you hid beneath the bed.
"Run! Run and don't look back!" Your mother's terrified voice echoed in your ears, and then the click of the lock as she pushed you into the back hall. Then the shrill scream she'd let out as the droids dragged her away. You'd only run when you heard the blaster fire.
One shot. Thud.
Your father and brother crying out in anguish.
Two shots. Thud. Thud.
Silence. Then voices - modulated and mechanical. Cold and calculating.
"Find the girl."
"Roger Roger."
You felt the dust creep up around your fingers, digging under your nails as you felt along the floor. It floated into your nose and down your throat, tickling and irritating. You suppressed a heavy sneeze that popped your ears, making you aware of every tiny noise. The metallic, icy fear that gripped your chest twisted every noise into something mechanical and violent.
It has to be here somewhere.
There.
Your fingers found purchase on a small, metal surface. The biometric lock whirred to life as you pressed your fingers to the surface.
A hatch hissed open revealing a small room in the wall beside the bed. You crawled out from under the bed, dusting off your pants. It felt naked, being out in the open like this. Dangerous. Vulnerable.
Deftly, you climbed into the hidden room and the hatch hissed closed behind you, locking you in. A dim light illuminated a small room. An emergency com device sat on a stool in the corner and a blaster hung on the wall. A ladder along the back wall led upwards. You had been here enough times with your father that you knew it led to the rooftop. But this time, it wasn't a drill and this time, you were alone.
You dialed the frequency.
A trooper sporting a red and white helmet appeared on the screen. Though you couldn't see his face, he seemed bored.
"This is a secure channel. You shouldn't have this number."
"I..." your voice left your lungs as barely a whisper.
"What's that?" He sounded annoyed now. A knot formed in the back of your throat.
"Speak clearly, please."
"I need to speak to my uncle." The words came out forced and choked.
"Look ma'am, this is a secure channel for GAR personnel only."
Someone said something in the background and the trooper turned, "...nothing, Sir. Just some civvie with the wrong number." He paused, listening to whoever was in the room with him. "...yeah she's trying to call her uncle or something. I'll handle it."
The screen shifted and suddenly instead of the trooper your uncle's face appeared.
"I... I need help." It took everything you had left in you not to burst into tears as you told him what happened. How the droid army came. How your father refused them. How they killed his family first and then him. How you ran and hid.
"Okay," Came his soft reply. "Okay. Keep the door locked and stay where you are. I'll send someone to come for you."
----
The message had come in only a matter of hours and now you waited, lying flat on the roof, for the ship to come carry you away.
Smoke rose in columns. You could smell the fires and tried not to think about the screaming. The people - your people - were dying and there you were, hiding away. Waiting for a rescue that the common citizen would have no hope of. Their choice was to surrender or die. They would die here.
Suddenly shouts rang out just below. "Hey! You! Stop!" The cold, whiny voice of a foot soldier. There was a scrambling of hurried footsteps as whoever they were chasing ran and tripped. You peered over the edge of the building.
"Hey! Where'd you go?" The battledroid sounded confused. Whoever it was chasing hid well.
You watched the figure slowly crawl, inching his way along the entrance to a garbage chute. There were only two ways for him to crawl. A dead end or the garbage chute. The droid seemed to suddenly notice this as well.
"Ha. Ha. You have nowhere to hide now."
He looked young - only a child. Maybe 12 or 13. He looked terrified.
Gritting your teeth, you made a decision you hoped you wouldn't regret.
"Hey!" You shouted. Both the boy and the droid looked up. "You leave him alone!"
"Look, it's the princess!"
"Wait, she's not supposed to be here!"
Kriff. There are more of them.
"I'll take care of her."
Both turned their blasters towards you. The boy was gone but now you'd given up your position.
Kriff. Now I'm dead.
You squeezed your eyes shut, ready for the inevitable blast that would carry you back into the arms of your family.
---
The blast came louder than you'd expected - more painful too. Your head throbbed fiercely and ears rang loud enough to muffle the sounds of yelling and blaster fire. The ragged edges of the wall lay rough and cold as your fingers found purchase on its stones, gripping tightly to shakily pull yourself to your feet. Something wet and warm trickled down your forehead, stinging your eye. You hissed as your fingers found the small cut above your eyebrow, fingers coming away red and slick.
Someone was shouting.
"Princess! Princess!"
This can't be happening. This can't be real.
"Princess!"
That voice again, loud and deep - shredding through the thudding of your pulse and the ringing shock in your head.
A pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around you, yanking you from the ground where you stood.
Panic sprang from every pore in your body as you struggled against that impossible grip.
"Hey! Calm down! You're safe! I got ya!"
He was running. The world seemed to flow by as if you were watching it through someone else's eyes.
Smoke drifted through the sky. Fires burned hot and buildings lay broken and crumbled. The only thing that felt real were the strong arms of the man carrying you from the carnage. Away from everything you'd ever known.
---
Your eyes never left the burning horizon of your home until the vast blur of hyperspace wrenched it away. It was only then you found yourself taking a breath, gasping as if you'd forgotten how to breathe.
"Are you okay?" A figure knelt beside you, slowly drawing your gaze to him. Long, dark hair hung over a dirty red bandana. "My name's Hunter. That's Crosshair, Tech, and Echo." He pointed out each of his brothers, "and that's Wrecker. He's the one who brought you back here."
You looked up at him. The large man looked as if he wanted to say something but stopped.
Hunter got up to join his brothers, leaving you to sit alone on the bunk.
You winced, bringing a hand up to your forehead as the cut stung with the stale air of the ship. Wrecker's look of feigned indifference suddenly morphed to one of concern as he peered through the short passageway of the ship.
"Hey she's bleeding!"
Wrecker immediately grabbed the medscanner, turning towards you - then paused.
He glanced away, the urgent need to make sure you were okay, suddenly transformed into an anxious uncertainty. He rubbed the back of his head in a nervous gesture.
"Here you do it!" he grunted before violently shoving the device at Tech who fumbled it a nanosecond before deftly catching it with sturdy fingers.
Tech frowned, "You are perfectly capable of taking the scan yourself." He sighed as Wrecker averted his eyes. "...but I will take over from here if that is what you want."
"Thanks Tech... I - I just don't wanna make 'er uncomfortable, ya know... in case she's scared of me on account of how I'm... Ehh, you know..."
Tech raised an eyebrow. "I do not think that is a problem, but I'm sure she would appreciate your consideration."
---
Wrecker sat glumly on the floor, leaning against Gonky, watching as Tech headed back up to the cockpit. His eyes slowly lingered back to you as you sat on the edge of the bunk.
"See, she's staring!" whispered Wrecker, leaning over to Crosshair, "I don't think she likes me."
Crosshair shook his head. "She's just in shock. Her family was practically killed in front of her. She's scared."
You could hear them whisper, glancing over at the way you sat stiffly on the bunk he'd sat you on.
Wrecker, he said his name was. An apt name for his profession. Yet, contrary to the tales that Tech had regaled to you, Wrecker seemed to simmer to a calm around you - like any sudden movement might scare you away. The concern was nice, but unnecessary.
He'd seemed so passionate when he'd jumped to save you from that blast.
"Hold on!" he'd boomed. "I've got you!" And you believed him.
Wrecker - the calm within the storm, until he became the storm itself. That was a nice thought.
Lifting your feet onto the bunk, you curled into the thin mattress. You wouldn't sleep. You couldn't. If you closed your eyes, those sounds would haunt you again.
"Run!"
Screaming.
"No!"
Blaster fire.
Thud.
Thud.
Thud.
No sleep would come tonight if you could help it - but the heavy fluttering of your exhausted eyelids soon proved to be more than you could fight.
---
"She woke up screaming."
The words, supposed to be a whisper, echoed dimly from the cockpit into the bunk where you lay - not quite asleep, but not awake either.
"We all heard it, Wreck." Came the somber reply from their leader.
"Yeah." A moment of silence. "Think one of us should talk to her?"
"Maybe."
"Tech, you do it! You're good at knowing stuff."
"I am unsure if I would be a suitable candidate for a conversation on such a delicate matter. I can offer solutions to improve her sleep but I do not think that is the issue here. Perhaps Echo should be the one to talk to her?"
"I don't know..."
Another moment of uneasy silence.
"Aw, come on guys" Wrecker's loud voice complained.
"Shhhhhh!" Chorused his brothers.
"Oh. Sorry!" His whisper wasn't much quieter.
"Wrecker's right," Hunter spoke. "Someone should talk to her."
"Wrecker, you should do it." Offered Echo.
"Me!? Why? I'm no good at stuff like that!"
"Hmm.... Echo may be right. She does seem to have an emotional connection to you, Wrecker. More so than to us."
"Wha.... whaddya mean?"
"He means she likes you, Wrecker." His brother smacked him on the shoulder.
"Hey! She does not!"
Crosshair smirked, "Oh she definitely does."
Wrecker fervently shook his head, "Does not!"
"Does to! In fact, I heard her last night in the fresher." Crosshair's grin widened, "She was all 'oh Wrecker, ohhh'" he mimicked the sound of your voice in jest.
Wrecker froze. "She did not! Yer just making that up!" He glanced at Hunter. If anyone had heard anything it would've been him. Hunter glared at Crosshair, who sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Okay, fine. I made that up. But..." he poked his brother in the gut with a boney finger. "I still think she likes you."
Wrecker frowned, rubbing a hand on the back of his bald head. He still looked unsure.
"Just get in there!" Crosshair kicked the back of his knee, causing him to stumble forward a few feet towards your bunk.
---
Wrecker sat awkwardly for a moment. He licked his lips. You blinked up at him, sleep still clouding your eyes in a confused daze.
He took a breath. He could do this.
It took you a few moments to fully wake, and another few to realize that Wrecker was sitting on his bunk, staring at you. A rush of heat stirred butterflies through your stomach - a feeling that had become all too familiar since being aboard this ship.
Wrecker looked nervous.
You blinked at him, tilting your head. He was still staring. "Uhh... Can I help you with something, Wrecker?"
"You dream bad." He blurted out.
Huh? A look of confusion crossed your face as a look of horror overtook his own.
"No! I mean.... I mean..." He shouted.
You jumped, startled.
He cleared his throat, looking mortified. "I mean... Ya... You..." he stuttered miserably. "Ya had a bad dream and I was just wonderin' if you were okay." He looked down, "That's all." He gulped. Great, he blew it. "I'll uh... I'll leave ya alone now."
He turned towards the cockpit, face red with embarrassment.
"Wait..." Your voice called out from behind him. "Wrecker wait...."
He paused.
"I... I think it was really sweet of you to come see if I was okay."
He heard you shift on the bunk, sitting up to swing your legs over the side.
"I... I'm sorry if I woke you up."
You sounded sad and Wrecker felt his heart crack. He turned back around, sitting down on his bunk again, facing you.
"Nah, I was already up." He chuckled, that explosive grin reappeared across his face. "Besides, it's pretty impossible to wake me up. Just ask Tech. One time him 'n Crosshair made a bet to see what they could do to make me wake up."
You giggled, the icy fear that gripped your chest began to warm. "What ended up waking you up?" You asked, genuinely curious. "Who won the bet?"
Wrecker grinned. "Crosshair did. He put a tooka treat in my ear and left the ship open. It was when we landed on Lotho Minor. There's lots of tookas around there."
You giggled, imagining a sleeping Wrecker surrounded by an army of tiny mewing tookas.
He was silent again and you felt those angry claw sneak their way around you again, freezing through your veins. Wrecker must have noticed, his smile faded.
"Didja wanna talk about it? Or..." he trailed off.
You shivered and leaned into him. Without thinking, he put his arm around you, pulling you closer - keeping you warm.
"I... It's just a lot to process." You said softly. "I just keep remembering. I keep hearing them die."
Wrecker didn't say anything. He took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. You shouldn't have to see somethin' like that. Yer a princess. Yer supposed to go ta parties and drink those fancy juice things and eat those tiny sandwiches."
You sighed, "It's not all just parties and fancy stuff all the time, you know."
Wrecker sat up, looking at you. "It's not!?"
"No," you chuckled. "Sometimes it's sitting in on a really boring meeting. Sometimes it's learning how to fire a blaster in case you have to defend yourself."
"Whoa..."
You smiled sadly, "Lots of people don't like me when they hear I'm a princess. I think they think, that I think I'm better than them or something."
"That's a lot of thinkin'" Wrecker replied, not meeting your eyes. You chuckled.
It was silent again.
Wrecker cleared his throat, “I uhh… I think I know what you mean.”
You looked at him quizzically.
“A lotta people - “ Wrecker started, then paused. “Well, most people actually. They think I’m stupid just because I’m big and kinda slow with words and stuff.”
You frowned. “But aren’t you the demolition expert? You blow stuff up, right?”
Wrecker grinned at that, momentarily forgetting the awkward seriousness of the conversation before. “You bet I do!”
His smile was contagious and you found it inflicting its endearing passion across your own face. “Well then you can’t be dumb, silly!” you teased. “Don’t you have to be super smart to learn to build and disable all those explosives?”
Wrecker paused, “I dunno…”
You cut him off. “And not to mention the chemistry and physics and numbers it takes to do what you do so well!”
Wrecker shifted brushing his hand against your leg. You froze, suddenly realizing exactly how close you were to him - how his arm draped warmly around your back. The unexpected contact seemed to leave you breathless.
What was this?
Your skin seemed to burn where he'd touched you. You looked up at him.
This mountain of a man had saved you without even ever having met you before. He'd charged right into blaster fire, scooping you up as though you weighed nothing and he did it all with a smile on his face. You let out a shaky breath, shivering as he shifted and brushed against you once more.
Immediately, Wrecker jumped to his feet, realizing his mistake.
"I... I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare ya or... or touch ya... I..." He stuttered, "I... I'm such a..."
You looked up at him wide-eyed. "Wait! Wrecker stop!"
He paused, looking down miserably.
Now it was your turn to blush, "I... I didn't mind it." You said quietly, looking down at your feet.
He still looked unsure.
"I like being around you, Wrecker. You make me feel safe."
He looked down to where you patted the spot on the bunk beside you.
"You sure?" He asked tentatively.
You nodded, "I'm sure."
"You wanna know something funny?" He asked, voice uncharacteristically quiet as he sat again.
"What?" You smiled, leaning towards him.
"I thought you weren't going to like me... Just like you thought we weren't gonna like you."
"Of course I like you, Wrecker! And I'm really glad you were the one to find me."

Drabble!!!!! I hate the heat
They trudged back to the ship, weary and sweaty. Wrecker's groans of how tired he was had faded into something more quiet, more subdued.
Tech began to feel similar, the stifled heat worse with his helmet still firmly on his head. The others had long since shed as much of their armour as they could, sweat rolling down their faces.
Even Echo complained about the warmth.
Once the cool recycled air of the Marauder hit them, they breathed a breath of relief, until Hunter remembered why they had to backtrack, and whirled around on their recently saved brother, Crosshair.
Tech winced, feeling the argument rising, and he glanced to Omega, who pressed herself into his damp leg, clinging to the sweaty material.
He cleared his throat. "Come along, Miss Omega," Tech encouraged, voice oddly stilted. "I need to check the hull for damage."
The young girl nodded, following her brother outside. He grabbed his toolbox on the way, and took his time once he returned to the blazing sunlight.
He felt sluggish as he examined the hull, forgetting himself and his company as his head began to bother him, a piercing pain ringing just at the front of his forehead.
His hands fumbled, the tool he thought he had a good grip on slipping from his sweat slicked palm, falling with a dull thump to the grass.
Omega watched it, then looked cautiously up at her brother. "Tech?" She called.
His usual quick response was delayed, and he looked over too quickly. He had to swallow a wave of world spinning nausea, feeling his stomach churn and throat close.
His head began to pound, brain telling him something, but he couldn't understand it.
He must have been staring, because Omega called for him again. "Yes?" He replied, voice oddly stuffed and sounding too loud to his own ear.
His sister hesitated. "You were just.. staring," She looked worried. "For a few minutes– are you okay? Should I go get Hunter?"
Hunter, who was still yelling at Crosshair even though the beatings of the sun was more severe than their enemies? No- no, their older brother was far too busy to deal with Tech's simple staring problem—
"Tech?" Omega's voice was louder. "You're not listening to me- I'm going to get someone."
He opened his mouth to tell her no, stay put, I am fine—
He blinked heavily once, twice, and found his knees buckling under the harsh heat of the day.
"Tech?!" Omega's voice was faraway, concerning but the blissful numbness he felt was a lovely contrast from the horrid churn of his gut or the swirl of vomit lodged at the base of his throat.
He heard another full thump as his helmeted head collided roughly with the forest floor, but nothing more as his eyes drifted shut.

I Won’t Hate You
By KyberCrystals94
Read here on Ao3!
Whumptober 2023|Day 8|Prompt 8: “I’ve got soul, but I’m not a soldier.”
Rating: G
Words: 667
Summary: Crosshair finds out his siblings did not heed his warning.
Crosshair wakes in a cell. Not in a lab. Not strapped to a medical cot. The relief he feels is stunted and aching. He wishes they would just kill him, but he can’t quite stamp down the primal need to survive. So, he releases a shaky breath and tries to sit up.
“Here,” a child’s voice says, and small hands latch around his arm, futilely attempting to help him upright.
Crosshair reacts violently, scrambling from the sudden presence, tearing his arm away from their grip. His spine presses into the wall, and he stares into the startled expression of the clone girl.
“What are you doing here?” he rasps, trying to recover what little dignity he can gather. It isn’t much, and he can see by the pity in her empathetic eyes that she realizes she terrified him.
“Sorry,” Omega says, “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
Crosshair almost denies it, but there’s no point. Not while his body is trembling with adrenaline, not while his lungs are ejecting shallow, shaky gasps.
Omega picks up a canteen, holding it out to him. “Here,” she says gently.
Crosshair takes it but does not drink. He grips the container in his hands, focusing on the cool metal against his clammy palms. He can’t look Omega in the eye. “You didn’t answer my question,” he growls.
“Hmm?” Omega tips her head.
“Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. What. Are. You. Doing. Here.”
Omega glares at him. “I was captured.”
“Did they not get my message?” Crosshair asks, venom still dripping from his tone.
“We did,” Omega replies, pointedly changing the pronoun to include herself. “But we decided to try and save you.”
Crosshair ignores the sharp, unnamed emotion that twists in his gut. “And how did that work out?”
“How do you think?” Omega bites back.
Crosshair sneers, “They must’ve lost their touch…to let you get captured so easily.”
Omega does not rise to the bait, regarding him shrewdly. “I know what you’re trying to do, and it won’t work. I won’t hate you, Crosshair.”
Crosshair is stunned for a moment, staring down at the blond girl who stares back steadily with familiar, copper brown eyes. Eyes he has seen a million times, but only a few times that mattered. Hers matches those of the few, able to meet his hard gaze without flickering away. Hers are curious like Tech’s, kind like Wrecker’s, wise like Echo’s, and soft like Hunter’s. Perhaps sharp, like his. And then there’s something of her own, a gentle hope that hasn’t been stained by the cruelty of the galaxy.
Crosshair sees all of this, but turns away, moving to focus on the cold floor of the cell. “You should,” he says, but the venom has leaked out.
“Why?” Omega asks.
“You know why,” Crosshair mutters, gripping the canteen. He wants to throw it, just to expel some of the tension building in his aching muscles. But he doesn’t. He doesn’t want to scare her. Doesn’t want her to think he’s mad at her.
Out the corner of his eye, he sees Omega moving to climb up on the cot next to him, sitting against the same cold wall, her shoulder brushing his arm. Crosshair stiffens but doesn’t move away. “I know,” Omega says, her voice soft with the lilting of her accent, “that it wasn’t your fault. I know you are still our brother. I know that you tried to warn us. I know you tried.” Omega slowly lets her head rest against his shoulder, giving him a moment to react. He doesn’t, so she leans her weight against him. “I know our brothers love you and miss you.”
The nameless emotion snakes around his heart. “Are they coming for us?” Crosshair whispers.
“Of course, they are,” Omega says with guileless confidence.
“And then what?”
Omega is quiet for a moment, and Crosshair wonders if she’ll answer him. Then her voice comes, hushed words. “We’ll go home,” she says.

Hi, I love your work! I was wondering if you could please do a kind of part 2 to the Crosshair breeding kink where he comes back to find her pregnant, if you’re comfortable with that? Thanks!
< Part 1 | Part 3 >
Author's Note: I actually had some random ideas floating around in my mind palace for this sort of thing, so you came by at the perfect time. Time to expand on this idea! I really struggled at the end and I'm not totally pleased with it but I hope you enjoy none the less.
Relationships: Crosshair/Fem!Reader
Warnings: Actual pregnancy, Morning sickness, Tokophobia warning (trying to get hit by people's blacklist just in case they don't like this sort of thing), Feels, Fluff, Too fluffy for crosshair? maybe but eh lets have fun
It's been over a month now, since he broke into your apartment. You've gotten a few days here and there together in-between since, but now has been the longest gap.
It must be a rough one, as you've barely heard a word from him since he was sent off this time.
A lack of communication from him while he's deployed isn't unusual, nor unexpected. Sometimes he's too far away, sometimes they have strict orders for all comm equipment to stay off; Sometimes he just isn't in the mood. But either way, you know things are hectic out there.
Though sometimes you'll get one single message, just enough to know he's ok. It helps soothe your nerves, and Crosshair is a creature of habit; He hates breaking the system you've had for awhile now.
But even if you knew what you signed up for with this, you still wish he was here.
Especially right now as you standing staring in the bathroom mirror, glossing over that you look so much more tired than usual before looking down at the countertop.
Seven different tests lay out on your bathroom counter, all telling you the exact same thing. Your calendar tells you the same answer, but in a more subtle way. No matter how many more ways you try to frame it, the picture is always going to come out looking the same.
You're pregnant.
You hold a fruit in your hand, still cold to the touch and take a bite. It's crisp and tart, frigid against your teeth. It's been the only thing you've been able to eat all day, without throwing it up a short while later.
Every single thing you do points to the exact same conclusion, no matter how much it twists your gut. Or maybe it's your condition twisting your gut; Perhaps both. You take another bite of the fruit in your hand, and leave the refresher to go sit down on your bed. It's an overbearing silence, staring at the ground about a meter ahead of your feet as your lips purse tight.
You're not nearly as shocked by the revelation as you thought you might've been. Or as off put. The idea has never been out of the question, and it wasn't as if you and Crosshair had exactly been playing it safe.
Speaking of him... You wonder what he's going to think about all of this.
You know he likes you, said that he loves you in almost every meaning of the word; But does it include this? It's never been off the table for you, whenever you thought about your future.
You know it wouldn't be easy. The throws of the fury from Separatist aligned planets are still taxing on the clones, and it likely will be for a long while. This war won't end instantly, at least not traditionally.
You left all that garbage on the counter, and with a soft sigh you slide off the bed and go to throw it all away. Gathering them up, you throw them in the trash; They fulfilled their purpose, gave you the answer you needed.
You hope Crosshair comes back to you soon.
Crosshair's eyes glance towards a shockingly bright neon sign he passes on the way to your apartment, and sees the current time towards the bottom.
04:45.
Even if it's the technically the dead of night, Coruscant is always bustling, just a little less than usual. He isn't a stranger to taking respite in ungodly hours, though now more often with you than being completely alone.
You'd given him the code to your place because of it, so he could enter no matter what time of night he managed to steal for himself. You'll surely be asleep, so he'll have to be quiet. Not too much so, he'd rather you not think he's breaking in again. It was amusing in hindsight, but he isn't eager to have you pointing a blaster at him again.
No one is around in the hall to see him punch the code in and hear the soft hiss of your door slide open, before he slips inside and closes it behind him.
It seems he won't need to be quiet this time around however, as he sees you still awake curled up on your couch with a few different snacks and an array of other things, tight in a blanket. Almost all the lights are off, but there's still a soft glow to the room.
"Sick?" He says, as you've already turned towards him when the door opened.
"Cross!"
You stumble and fight the blanket to escape and rush over to him, it still around your shoulders as you hug him. He stiffens; A habit that he's yet to break. But when his body finally relaxes just a bit, you look up at him as his hand shifts around the handle of his rifle case. He'll never let it leave his sight. His face is largely the same neutral expression, but you can see by the way that his eyes are darting across your face that he seems almost confused. At your actions, more than likely.
"You spammed my datapad." You nod.
"And Tech's." Guilty.
"I, had something to tell you." You've been waiting for days now since you'd found it, sitting in limbo overthinking. You feel nauseous, and it's hard to tell if it's nerves or the morning sickness. It's more than likely both, which doesn't help matters in the slightest.
"That important?" He says walking towards your bedroom, following you past the door. Sitting down on the edge of the bed you look up and over at him, giving a good look over.
Even if he's a good and hiding his emotions, you can tell that he is beat; The dark circles under his eyes are more intense and you can see the exhaustion in his eyes. He sits his rifle case on the ground at the end of your bed but still in sight.
Crosshair prides himself on his patience when it comes to his ability to stake out a target; But it's still gnawing at him seeing you trying to figure out what to say or how to say it.
"I," You stop for a moment, adjusting the blanket around your body. It's so cold tonight, though it's partly caused by you opening the windows for some fresh air.
"I'm pregnant, Cross."
You've seen a lot of emotions subtly cross his face over all the time you've known him, but his genuine surprise is a new one. It's still subtle, but the way his lips just barely pull apart and his eyes widen cue you in. But he doesn't say anything. You can tell he's thinking, and you want to know what it is.
"Say something?" You purse your lips, feeling your tight throat. "I know it's, probably not what you wanted to hear after coming back but-" Crosshair lets out a soft 'tch'.
"What; You think I'd just bail?" You look up at Crosshair, tensing. Part of you almost wants to get a bit angry at his tone, but you're too tired for it.
"I didn't know. You're... Not exactly an open book, Cross." You make a vague gesture towards the side of your head.
“And there’s a lot going on up here. I've barely eaten anything in days, and when I dropped my hair tie this morning I cried for almost half an hour.” You notice his eyebrows raise, and he seems displeased at what you've said.
"Days?" You nod.
"Just some fruit I had lying around. Everything else is just disgusting." That explains the compete mess of food across your beside table; Trying to find something to eat. When he asks if there's something you want, you look up at him and shake your head.
You can tell he's thinking, but is keeping it all locked inside his head. You hate that he does it, but you'll pry it all out of him in the morning. There's still so much more that needs answering but five in the morning isn't the time for it.
And more than anything, you just want to hold onto him now that you have him back in arms reach again.
"Nah. I can't eat anymore today. Don't feel like it." He jerks his head forward, in the direction of the bed you're sitting on.
"Get in. It's too fucking late to be awake." He puts his helmet down, before taking off his armor piece by piece going upward. Every part gets laid out meticulously in front of his rifle case, and it's all in sight no matter where in the room he goes. When he's finished and only in his body glove, you're under the blankets and quietly watching him. he changes from it and into a few casual clothes he has stored in your closet; That are far more comfortable than his GAR approved blacks.
Afterwards he slip in beside you, and assumes the same way you always sleep together; With him pulling your back against his chest, his chin on the top of your head. If you don't start in this position, you'll always end up this way by the morning. It feels particularly nice right now, to be able to touch him; Have him right here. You missed him, and Crosshair is far too clingy to not feel at least marginally the same.
But he's more quiet than usual, and you can only equate it with him still thinking. Tomorrow you'll have an actual conversation about this. No one should be talking this emotionally when they haven't slept and the sun is about to rise.
The gentle sounds of air taxis speeding through the skyway outside make a gentle hum, along with the sound of the climate controls you'd cranked down to almost freezing thanks to the nausea making you feel so hot. Crosshair is a massive heat leech, so he's surely not enjoying how cold you've made the room. At least he has your heated body to keep him comfortable.
But as time passes and the sky is just starting to brighten, you feel him adjust a bit, and it wakes you up from that foggy space between awake and asleep. Your eyes stay closed, but you can feel his chest against your back move, before the arm that was wrapped around your ribs gently pulls away and moves to your belly instead. He's at least somewhat awake, despite being so tired.
He must think you're asleep. You can feel the way his hand drifts all the way down from your ribs, down to right below your belly button, then up again. It's a conscious motion, one that he keeps silently doing.
You're only guess is that he's feeling for something that can't be felt quite yet, or imaging what it will be like when it is.
The soft motion makes your gut churn a little bit less about his thoughts, deciding to get some more well needed sleep as your legs tangle with his own.

Ep. 12 "Juggernaut" Review
This episode was certainly fast paced. I wished it was a teensy bit longer because I want more of my boys. That being said, the juggernaut sequences were absolutely fantastic. Everything from Hunter's crazy maneuvers to the TK troopers actually being competent were phenomenal. I loved seeing the crazy ride that our boys took as they raced against the Empire's forces and the lack of road. It reminded me of the tank chase in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Thankfully, both Indy and the Batch make it out (thank you Phee).
Also, shoutout to that one Steve Blum voice cameo for random imperial. He's awesome.
As usual, spoilers below
My discord friend and I both theorized that Rampart would return as a prisoner with information and boy, were we right. I'm just gonna say it, Rampart is hot with the scruffy look. Yes, I still hate his guts and he's still an ahole. But I have a thing for the scruffy look. This is because James Norrington was one of my crushes in Pirates of the Caribbean. I don't make the rules, ok?
Ngl, it was cool to see him return. Prison hasn't been kind to him, but it's clear he hasn't changed one bit. He might give up info out of spite, but his views on others he perceives as lesser haven't changed. I wasn't surprised when he had no clue what an Ugnaught was nor when he referred to Crosshair by his number. Unlike Kallus or Cross, who both learned from their mistakes (and obviously had honor), Rampart remains greedy. Although he offers information, he could sell the Batch out in exchange for freedom. We'll see how well that goes. Crosshair was right to be wary.
Side note: seeing Rampart being thrown around like luggage when he was stunned was hilarious. He deserved it though.
Speaking of Cross, his snark was golden. You tell them Cross. Snark aside, Crosshair is not ok. Even mentioning Tantiss is a trigger for him. He doesn't want to go back nor think about anything related to the place. But we all know he will because Omega needs him. She saved his life and he loves her dearly. But I'm glad Hunter and Wrecker didn't hold it against him. Although, I wished we got more dialogue on that whole situation. At least both of his brothers know that Cross didn't hand her over willingly or what not. And Cross trusts that Omega's choice wasn't without reason. Also, Cross' theme kicks in after his hand starts trembling and he needs a hug. He's been through so much.
The interaction with Phee was also really sweet. Crosshair finally got to hear the iconic "Brown Eyes." And the fact that Tech clearly talked about Crosshair in a positive light to Phee makes my heart melt. Tech doesn't know how much Crosshair has changed, but that love he had for him never went away. I am in tears. I also have no doubt that Tech would be impressed with Phee's stealthy drop off of the boys.
Something else I enjoyed was seeing the brothers work together like to good ol' days. It really reminded me of the earlier seasons and CW and just how much I missed it. Season 3 has been so heavy and dark that moments like these make me happy. Cross and Wrecker using battle plans while Hunter drives was so much fun to watch.
And then there's Hemlock. I can't wait for him to fall off Tantiss and die. He's so creepy and gross. I cringe whenever I see his stupid face. The way he showed Omega the children and was like "this is your new home" just made me want to hate him more.
And Emerie! She feels so trapped between her duties and affection for Omega. But she will choose a side in the end and I have a feeling it'll be Omega. My theory is that Omega will encourage her to help her and the children escape. Emerie will provide assistance and probably be killed by Hemlock.
someone please tell me how Echo is doing off screen. I love you sweet Echo; just stay off screen and you'll be safe. but also come back bc i miss your presence
Anyways, that's all for now. We're in the endgame now fellas. 3 more episodes. I will post some theories. Until next time, take care!

Shadows of various sizes periodically approached the door to Crosshair’s Pabu hut for the last week.
The small shadow with the strong knock was Omega inviting him to meditate with her.
The large shadow with an aggressive knock was Wrecker begging him to go deep sea fishing.
The quiet shadow with an impatient, rapid knock was Hunter threatening to break the door down if Crosshair didn’t come out and eat something.
Crosshair had plenty of rations. He wasn’t going anywhere.
Through the thick, mud walls, Crosshair could hear the calm ocean waves. Through the parchment taped over the windows he could still see the relentlessly cheerful sunshine. There was no hiding from the scents of mouth-watering barbecue and sweet summer blossoms.
Pabu was undeniably a paradise.
And Crosshair didn’t deserve any part of it.
Days went by.
Weeks.
The same three shadows approached and left with various threats and pleas and plates of food that drew only the attention of ants.
Crosshair remained unmoved.
Until one day…
Crosshair was curled up on the floor in the darkest corner of the room, fingers digging into the scar on his scalp, reliving the past few years obsessively.
“Aim for the kid.”
“I’ve made my choice.”
“You…you could have saved him…”
Hunter’s voice came through the door like the low growl of an injured bear. Resentful and broken.
“I called Cad Bane.”
Those four words pulled Crosshair upright and he hissed at a stray beam of light blinding him through a crack in the shrouded window. He retreated further into the shadows, heart pounded, lungs seizing.
“Did you hear me?”
“H-how?,” Crosshair rasped. “Only Tech knew the frequency.”
Hunter’s heightened senses would pick up the sound when no one else in the galaxy could.
“And Tech gave it to me. He wanted a back-up in case…” Hunter’s voice cracked. “Anyway, all he gave me was the frequency and said it was from the bounty hunter who trained you when we were kids. He left out the important detail that I’d be calling the damn bounty hunter who kidnapped Omega and kriffing shot me.” Hunter paused for a moment, then added. “I did this for you.”
“You…had no right.”
“You didn’t leave me with any choice, Crosshair,” Hunter continued. “Truth is, I don’t know what you need or how to help you. Maybe you’ll open the door for him. Maybe you won’t. In any case…he’s coming.”
Crosshair snarled at the door, but the shadow was already gone.
Cad Bane…
He hadn't thought of the bounty hunter in years.
He couldn't bear to.
Bane had promised they'd see each other again, but as Crosshair grew older, he became more and more entrenched in the Clone Army, in Clone Force 99. He had joined the Establishment Bane hated and what was worse, Crosshair was enjoying it. Bane would’ve been disappointed.
By the time Crosshair joined the Empire, he was convinced he'd ever see Bane again. Maybe Bane would’ve been disappointed in Crosshair joining the Republic, but the Empire? He couldn’t bear to think of the resentment. Not from him.
Crosshair thought of Bane now and all he could see was a child-like, awestruck vision of a legendary Duros with a confident sneer and glowing red eyes that saw right through Crosshair's fears…and found potential in him.
Crosshair felt his heart break all over again.
“Listen, kiddo, people like you n’ me are survivors. We’re too damn stubborn to let this galaxy swallow us whole. Just keep your head up, keep those boots moving forward, and follow your gut n’ your gut alone. Got it?”
And look where my “gut” got me, Crosshair thought, drawing his knees to his chest.
He hated how much Bane’s opinion mattered to him. He hated Bane seeing him like this, a rotting husk in a paradise island, an untreated stump for a shooting hand, and an Imperial service record staining his past.
Crosshair thought about sending a comm to Bane. Tell him not to come. Tell him he was fine and it was a mistake.
“Tech…what if I never see him again?” Crosshair asked, tears streaming down his face as he watched the Justifier leave Kamino forever.
“If you don’t, you will still have the combat skills he gave you, and apparently those toothpicks. What’s their purpose?”
For the first time in weeks, Crosshair took a shower. He cleaned his hut of ration wrappers and empty beer bottles. He managed to choke down half a protein bar before his stomach began to churn from nerves. With his remaining hand, he dragged the chairs and the dresser away from the entrance of his hut.
Then he returned to the dark corner of his room, curled up, and waited, listening to the gentle hush of ocean waves until…
Thud, clink, thud, clink, thud, clink.
Those spurred boots were unmistakable.
Crosshair’s heart lurched.
He was a cadet again, filled with boyish excitement, newly augmented rifle in hand ready to face whatever Bane threw at him!
And then he was an Imperial deserter again, filled with dread and despair, alone in a cell knowing he deserves everything Hemlock threw at him.
A bony knuckle rapped hard against the wooden door.
Fear froze the words in Crosshair’s throat.
The door creaked open. An imposing figure filled the doorway, the harsh sunlight turning the bounty hunter’s form into a dramatic silhouette. Those glowing red eyes turned into narrow slits as he scanned the room, until he was looking right at Crosshair.
Rows of jagged teeth and fangs gleamed as Cad Bane sneered.
“Well, ain’t this a cheery reunion,” Bane drawled, entering the hut. “Howdy, kid.”
Time hadn’t changed Bane a bit, still tall and willowy, long duster and wide-brim hat. A clever smirk and a cool ease that Crosshair used to feel when he was still part of Clone Force 99. And he had felt confident because Bane had given him that confidence.
“I’m not a child,” Crosshair mumbled, drawing his knees up tighter, hand clutching the side of his head as his fingers pressed punishingly against the mangled scar.
“Aintcha though? Been that long time n’ I’m still a helluva lot older than you.”
Bane walked around the hut casually like he was touring a Coruscant museum, picking up clay bowls and examining the handcrafted furnishing that came with the home.
“So you got yourself your own little slice o’ paradise here, uh? Place where any self-respectin’ soldier would wanna retire.”
Bane leaned against the wall across from Crosshair, crossing his ankles and folding his arms. “Except I ain’t seein’ ya out there on a boat in a Niamos shirt. You’re in here, like some kinda prisoner.”
Crosshair recoiled at the word.
Prisoner…isn’t it what I deserve?
“Go away,” Crosshair snarled.
“Nah,” Bane said, slipping a toothpick between his fangs. “I’m stayin’. I’m paid for the day.”
Crosshair glanced up. “He paid you?”
“That’s between me n’ my client.” Bane sneered. It was the same sneer Crosshair used to antagonize the Regs. “He’s a real shit liar, by the way. Didn’t take much to figure out this was his request, not yours. What’s his name again?”
“Hunter.”
“Hunter…right. He tells me ya haven’t left this lil shack in weeks n’ won’t talk to nobody.”
“So he hired you to get me to speak? Fine, I’m speaking. You can leave, now.”
“Like I said,” Bane said. “I’m paid up for the day.”
Maybe it should’ve angered Crosshair that Hunter had to pay Bane to show up, but he felt relief. Bane was a bounty hunter and Pabu was in the middle of nowhere. A long way to come for an ex-Imperial he once spent a summer training three lifetimes ago.
“So…did big brother tell ya about how we met?” Bane asked.
“You shot him and kidnapped Omega.”
Bane snorted. “Kidnap? That’s a lil dramatic. I was hired to collect a bounty, so I did. Hunter got in my way.” The toothpick wiggled in Bane’s fangs. “Does it rankle ya?”
“You were on a job. You’re also not the only one in this room who's tried to kill him.”
Bane’s brow ridge raised with interest. “No kiddin’? Your brother’s a real forgivin’ type, huh?”
Crosshair shrugged.
“Well, I figured you’d give my frequency to at least one of your brothers, but I’m surprised it wasn’t that lil’un with the goggles. Tech, right?”
Crosshair tried to shoot Bane with his signature deadly glare, but the tears blurring his eyes washed away the venom. “Tech’s gone.”
The toothpick in Bane’s mouth lowered, as if wilting. “Aw, hell, kiddo…”
“I ain't callin' ya Misfire. You're 'Kid'.”
“I like…Kiddo, too.”
Crosshair pushed the memory away. He didn’t deserve sympathy. He didn’t deserve to feel…comforted.
“It was my fault,” Crosshair snarled. “They tried to save me from a prison I deserved to be in. They should’ve left me to rot. ”
Bane tilted his head. “How’d ya figure that’s your fault? You weren’t exactly there to force their hand. You were in prison, they came to spring ya. Seems simple enough to me.”
“It’s not simple,” Crosshair hissed. “None of this is simple. None of it makes sense. ”
Bane let out an incredulous laugh. “Make sense ? When the fuck does life ever make sense, kid? Tryin’ to figure this galaxy out is like tryin’ to understand a chargin’ mudhorn. The galaxy don’t care about ‘the why’, it’ll gore ya either way.”
Crosshair didn’t know what to say.
He looked down at the half-eaten protein bar beside him, listening to Bane’s spurs clink as he crossed the room to sit on the floor beside him.
They didn’t talk for a long time. Bane stretched out his long legs, one spurred ankle hooked over the other.
Crosshair gradually unfurling, his equally long legs stretching out. He pulled a toothpick from his pouch and popped it into his mouth.
Bane tilted his head. “You still got my pouch.”
Crosshair took the leather pouch off his belt. “This is the real reason you came here, huh?”
Bane sneered, taking the pouch and flipping it open revealing the mythosaur skull branded on the inside. “It’s a nice pouch.”
“Jango gave it to you.”
“He sure did.” Bane’s drawl felt longer, and Crosshair wondered if there was a painful memory to it.
“What was he to you?”
Bane snickered. “Ohhh, so now you’re all bold with the questions, huh? How long have you been waiting to ask that one?”
“Since I met you,” Crosshair said, dryly.
Bane went quiet. He was quiet for so long Crosshair was sure he’d never get an answer to that burning question.
“Jango was the center of my whole damn galaxy,” Bane said, his tone low and graveled. “I was an orphan, stuck in some kraytshit indentured servitude on Duros just to survive. He saved me. He toughened me up, taught me to fight, and showed me the galaxy. He carved me into a merc that was his equal, and hell I know I surpassed him in more ways than one, and technically speaking I’m older than him, but he was always my boss. I respected him too much to feel superior.
“...And he broke my fuckin’ heart when he left for Kamino. He dropped me like I was nothing and I resented him for a long time for it.” Bane sighed. “Satisfied?”
Crosshair studied Bane for a moment. “So he was a brother to you?”
"No..." Bane shifted uncomfortably. “It’s…more…complicated than that.”
“Were you in love with him?”
Bane shot Crosshair a dangerous look. "I ain't talkin' about that."
Crosshair put his hands up. He had his answer. “Roger that.”
Bane handed the pouch back to Crosshair. “Keep it.”
“Jango gave it to you ,” Crosshair insisted.
“And I’m givin’ it to you,” Bane said, stubbornly, shoving the pouch back into Crosshair’s hands.
Crosshair looked at the pouch for a moment before clipping it to his belt. “I’m sorry about Jango.”
Bane sighed. “Yeah…me too. Were you there on Geonosis?”
Crosshair nodded. “My brothers and I were there, but not in the arena. I didn’t see it happen, just heard about it later. I know it was quick.”
“Thanks, kid. I’m sorry about Tech.”
Crosshair let out a sigh too similar to his former mentor. “Me too.”
“I gotta ask,” Bane said. “Why didn’t ya comm me when ya got arrested? Prison breaks are a damn hobby of mine.”
“I didn’t think you’d come.”
“Kraytshit. I told you if things fell to shit I’d come getcha. It don’t take a genius to figure out things went real wrong after the war ended.”
“It did, but not for me.” Crosshair’s heart sank. “Bane…I joined the Empire.”
Bane paused.
Then snorted a laugh. “Yeah, no shit. You don’t think I wander an Empire-infected galaxy without a few eyes on the inside? CT-9904, the last deviant clone in the Empire. A real star of the show until ya killed a lieutenant on Barton IV. I figured they executed ya after that.”
“You’re…not angry.”
“‘ Course I'm angry. Ya joined the Establishment you fuckin’ di'kut .”
Crosshair huffed a laugh. Quiet as the laugh was, it was a sound he hadn’t made in years.
It felt…not terrible.
“But you ain’t the only di’kut here,” Bane added.
“What do you mean?”
“Let’s just say it all started with a lucrative anti-Jedi contract durin’ the Clone Wars that trapped me in an Imperial contract the moment the Republic fell. I was deliverin’ holocrons n’ Force-sensitive kids to some crazy rich geezer only to find out I was workin’ for the damn Emperor himself. By the time I figured out whose credits I was takin’ it was too late. Not that I was exactly protestin’ it. I made a lot of credits.”
“I didn't join the Empire voluntarily either…not at first,” Crosshair rubbed his scarred head. “By the time I removed the inhibitor chip, I stayed with Empire because I thought it was the right thing to do. I gave my loyalty to them and they threw it away.”
“Some things don’t change, huh?” Bane nudged Crosshair with his shoulder. “Ya always did have a bent sense of loyalty.”
Crosshair cracked a smile. “Worked out for you. I saved your ass during that fight with Skatter.”
“Ohhh, I don’t remember it like that, ” Bane drawled with a sideways grin. “Think I was puttin’ up a real good fight n’ you were runnin’ around like a headless tip-yip.”
“Would you have come? Even after I joined the Empire?”
“Gave ya my word, Crosshair. It ain’t somethin’ I give lightly. I would’ve found a way to getcha outta there.”
Some of the broken pieces in Crosshair’s chest began to mend, and he took a deep, healing breath. “I almost comm’d you the day you left. Hell, I almost comm’d you before you took off from the landing platform. Tech talked me out of it.”
“I could comm him right now,” Crosshair said, clutching his communication device and Bane’s chit in his shaky hands. “Maybe I can convince him to take all of us.”
Tech tugged uncomfortably at his new goggle straps. “Even if he did take us all, Crosshair, have you considered the ramifications?”
“The what?”
“The consequences.”
Crosshair couldn't think of a downside, but he tried. “I guess…Hunter would be pissed if we left Kamino. I think he likes being a soldier.”
“I mean consequences for Cad Bane. He would be stealing four assets that are Kamino property. We, our squad specifically, are a top secret project. Kamino would stop at nothing to get us back. And they have access to the best bounty hunter in the galaxy.”
“Cad Bane is the best bounty Hunter in the galaxy,” Crosshair argued.
“If that were the case, we would be clones of him, instead.”
“Nuh uh, because Bane would never work here. He says…uh…Fuck the…it…shit…Tech, what's a word for a big…place that starts with an E.”
“Edifice,” Tech said confidently.
“Fuck the Edifice,” Crosshair said, though it didn’t sound right. Frustrated tears blur his vision. “I just miss him. I want us all to be together.”
“I know, but it wouldn't be as you imagine. We would be fugitives. They wouldn't give bounties to a hunter with a price on his head, would they?”
“I don't want to ruin his life.”
“Maybe when we're adults and deployed in whatever war they have in store for us, you can contact him.”
“That’s so long from now. Do you think he'll remember me?”
“Crosshair, it is impossible to forget you. To quote your own terrible lexicon: ‘You are fucking wizard’.”
“I tried to buy ya, son.”
“What? What do you mean?”
Bane’s toothpick moved from one side of his lips to the other with a faint click. “I told Jango to name a price for you n’ your brothers.”
Crosshair’s toothpick fell from mouth onto his lap. “All of us?”
“The whole litter.”
It was like a door had cracked open allowing Crosshair a view of the life healmost had. A life of a free bounty hunter away from the Republic and the Empire. He and his brothers would’ve honed their skills with Bane to train them. They’d take bounties they wanted instead of following orders blindly. The five of them would’ve been unstoppable. And rich , though credits never interested Crosshair.
And the fabools would’ve loved Wrecker.
They would’ve been happy.
Crosshair would’ve been happy.
But that door slammed shut long before Crosshair knew it existed.
Crosshair drifted his gaze up to the ceiling, letting tired tears fall uncaringly down his cheeks. “Fuck Jango,” he said.
“My sentiment exactly,” Bane said, dryly. “But, it wasn’t his decision. Hell, maybe if it was he’d let me take y’all away. Save ya a whole lotta heartache after that war.”
“Did you know about what they did to us?” Crosshair asked. “The inhibitor chips?”
Bane tilted his hat back, gazing up at that ceiling too. “Not in time for it to matter. In the end, everyone connected to that cloning project were just pieces in the biggest dejarik board in history. You n’ your brothers were caught right in the middle. If I’d known about the chips, I would’ve just stolen you right then and there. How did Tech talk you outta calling me?”
“We would have ruined your life. You’d be on the run with four top secret projects. No one would give you work if you had a bounty on your head.”
“Aw, shit, kiddo…That ain’t how it works. You know how many bounty hunters have prices on their heads? The guild don’t matter so long as it don’t interfere with their contracts. Besides, Kamino would’ve wanted it kept real quiet. Maybe Jango would’ve come himself, but there was a chance he wouldn’t. Guess we’ll never know.”
“Oh.”
“Hey.” Bane elbowed Crosshair hard in the ribs. “Don’t you mope over it. What’s done is done, no use regrettin’ any of it.”
Crosshair hissed and squirmed away. “I’m not.
“Good,” Bane said, suddenly hopping to his feet. “Now get your shit together, we’re gettin’ outta here.”
Crosshair blinked dumbly up at the bounty hunter. “What?”
Bane flicked his toothpick away. “You need to reset n’ you ain’t doin’ it here in this island paradise. You need a distraction and fabools need feedin’.”
“You still have that ranch?”
Bane snorted. “Hasn’t been that long, kiddo. Fabools live a long time n’ they never forget a face that gives ‘em food.” He extended a hand to Crosshair. “So, you comin’ or not?”
***
“What do you mean you’re leaving?” Hunter asked, arms folded standing in front of the Justifier ’s ramp as if a stern look would stop Crosshair from boarding.
And…well…Crosshair did pause. “I need to clear my head, Hunter.”
“But you’ll come back, right?” Omega asked. She stood beside Hunter, hands clutched, her tone closer to Crosshair’s the day Bane left him on Kamino. “This isn’t forever?”
“It isn’t,” Crosshair said, he tried to think of something reassuring to say. Hunter was better at this that he ever was. What would Hunter do.
Oh…
Crosshair knelt down and before he could extend his arms, Omega lunged towards him, clutching his neck tightly. This time Crosshair didn’t freeze like he did on that rainy bridge on Mount Tantiss. This time Crosshair hugged back without hesitation.
“Be back before you know it, kiddo.”
Hunter sighed. “Alright, take care of yourself.”
Crosshair started to walk past him, but Hunter grabbed his arm pulled him into a rough hug.
Crosshair snorted a laugh. “Couldn’t let me go without a hug?”
“Yeah, yeah, shut up,” Hunter released Crosshair. “You do whatever you need to do to sort yourself out. We’ll be here when you’re ready to come back.”
Crosshair nodded. “Whatever you paid Bane to get him here, I’ll pay you back.”
Hunter cocked an eyebrow. “He…didn’t ask for payment.”
“C’mon, kiddo,” Bane called, suddenly appearing at the top of the ramp. “Let’s ship out.”
Crosshair stuck a toothpick between his teeth and headed up the ramp.
The Justifier felt a lot smaller than it did on his first trip. Smelled cleaner too. He went to the four chairs in the common area, finding them not as alien as he once had. Aurra Sing’s chair was completely new, her carved up seat replaced. Crosshair guessed Bane and her must have had a falling out. Bossk’s chair though…
… No…it’s still my chair, Crosshair thought, running a finger over his name carefully carved into the back of the chair. “You kept my name,” Crosshair sneered through the emotions welling in his chest. “How touching .”
“Ain’t it though?” Bane sneered back.
“I thought Bossk would have carved this out by now.”
“Oh, he tried to. I told him if he so much as scratched it, I’d toss him out the airlock. That’s your chair too. Always will be.” Bane patted Crosshair on the back and started to head up the ladder.
“Bane?”
Bane paused on the first ladder rung.
There was a lot Crosshair wanted to say. A lot more that maybe didn’t need saying.
A ‘thank you’ felt hollow. A ‘sorry’ felt…well Bane hated apologies.
“Know any good prosthesis guys?”
“We’ll make a pitstop at Tatooine. Got a guy that can give ya five fingers, a scomp, hell a flamethrower if that's your style now. Comes in all colors too.”
“Just a hand. In black.”
Bane nodded and, as he climbed up the ladder, he mumbled something before disappearing into the cockpit.
It sounded like “Missed ya, kiddo.”
“I missed you, too,” he said to the empty common area.
And with that Crosshair settled into his chair, curling up as best he could with his long form, and soon felt the pull of hyperspace take him back to where he needed to be.

A rambling thought about “Plan 99” and Omega
Here’s the thing about “Plan 99” that kind of wigs me out—besides all the other things, anyway. I actually really like it as an episode. I think it’s good. It’s painful, but it succeeds at exactly what it was trying to do. It just so happens, however, that what it was trying to do—as far as I can tell, anyway—was put us, the audience in the same emotional headspace as a thirteen-ish year old kid who’s lost everything over the space of a few hours(1). Not even a few hours; Omega was unconscious for a good chunk of the real time that passed after the cable car crash, so aside from her trip and arrival at Mount Tantiss, Omega loses pretty much everything over the course of what probably feels like twenty minutes.
And that means we’re right there with her as she goes from finally maybe having a place to call home, having people to rely on outside the batch, having a friend her own age, having these great established relationships with her brothers and a place for them to be safe, and thinking that finally—finally!—they’re going to get Crosshair back and they’re all going to be a family again, having everything looking up for once, to where “Plan 99” takes us. To the Omega and the team losing their one lead on Crosshair, to losing Tech, to losing Wrecker, Echo, and Hunter, too—the last time Omega saw them, Hemlock had Hunter and Wrecker and was going to get Echo, and then send them all back to Eriadu to be questioned by Tarkin, and Omega knows what that means—to having her fear of ending up an experiment in a tube go from being a distant nightmare to a very real, very immediate possibility. She’s not even allowed to talk to Nala Se, who’s at least a familiar face(2).
The only consolation Omega gets is being reunited with Crosshair, with whom Omega doesn’t really have a relationship, but who’s still her brother despite everything and who would definitely understand what Omega’s going through better than anyone else. Except he’s unconscious and strapped to a table, and Omega doesn’t know what was done to him but she knows it was bad, and there’s a fear of losing him, too. And the only real consolation we get as viewers is seeing Hunter and Wrecker escape, and knowing that they and Echo weren’t taken to Eriadu and are coming for Omega instead—but they’re all gutted and bereft and they have no clue where to even start. So we’re right there with Omega, and right there with Hunter, too, as their worlds fall even further apart.
I’ve said before that I think The Bad Batch is, at heart, the story of a family of veterans trying to find a way to live and a way home, wherever home is, in a galaxy that’s fallen apart and turned into something monstrous around them. And I still think that’s true, but it’s also the story of a little girl finding her family, and who wants to protect her baby brothers. Because, yes, they’re her dads/big brothers/uncles all at once, but there’s a part of Omega that never stopped seeing them as those babies in their tubes. And so, yes, I think we’re going to see Hunter, Wrecker, and Echo enter their John Wick eras trying to get Omega back, but if Omega thinks there’s a chance they’re lost, if she really thinks Tech is lost? If she thinks there’s a chance Crosshair might be the only one left? She’s going to be extra protective of him(3), and if she gets the slightest hope the others are out there, she’s going to go ham trying to get the rest of them back.
1. And without the additional context of whatever season three brings, it maybe succeeds too well. Not maybe—until we get that additional context, it does succeed too well. So I get why there are people who hate it, or who can never watch it again. It hurts, and it’s a little too much like real life grief.
2. Sidebar, but I’m admittedly ambivalent about the timing of the Emerie reveal. I actually don’t mind it, but I feel like it would have been stronger to have left it at “You might know me better than you think,” without the “sisters” line. I don’t dislike it, but I do feel about the same way about it as I did about the Nala Se scene at the very end of “Kamino Lost.” It’s fine on its own, but the imagery of the previous scene—Crosshair watching the marauder fly away, leaving him again, the last clone—the last being—left alive on Kamino, that I would have preferred leaving it there and putting the Nala Se scene (and that specific Emerie line) as an after credits scene or something.
3. I will be seated for Crossdad, but I’ll be extra seated for overprotective older sister Omega.
#the bad batch#omega bad batch#I hope she finds all her brothers#and then gets to light hemlock on fire

The Werewolves Of The Canadian Wilderness
Chapter Two
A/N: This fic was written by myself and diamondstariv, but from now on she will no longer be apart of it or my blog. This fic is no longer hers, only the first few chapters. Just a warning, don’t go checking her blog. She’s decided to delete everything, so there’s no point. All our collabs will be here.
Hunter tastes the warm blood in his mouth as he bites into the fleshy neck of the buck, which kicks around and writhes on the snow littered ground. He waits until the life drains from its eyes to let go, dropping it to the ground. “Great job, Hunter!!” Wrecker yells as he runs up to Hunter, followed by Crosshair and Echo. Crosshair and Wrecker are each carrying their own bucks, making Hunter smile.
“Three should be enough for now, we’ll come back out tomorrow.” They nod. “Yeah, I have a night shift in a few hours at work.” Echo growls, and Hunter then frowns. “Before we go home, we should… We should bury Omega’s mother.” Everyone's ears press back, but they nod. “Of course, let’s go.” Echo says solemnly, as Crosshair sighs. “We don’t even know her name, we have nothing to say about her.” He growls angrily, hating that the humans caused this.
They all run, and see the pitch black fur, covered in a light sprinkling of snow. The storm thankfully kept any animals from eating her, as Wrecker starts digging a hole in the ground beside her. Crosshair then walks over and gently lifts her up, setting her in the hole. Hunter tears up, seeing that she still has her baby bump, she died so soon. It’s not right, she hardly even got to know her child. Never even got to see Omega open her eyes.
They all contribute to burying her, gently setting the dirt over top of her. Once it’s filled, Echo sits back as Wrecker frowns. “Should we say something?” He asks, and they all frown, then Hunter steps forward. “We hope that wherever you are, you’re in a good place now. And we are so sorry that you never got to care for your daughter like you should have.” Hunter says softly, ears pressed back, then Crosshair steps forward a bit. “We promise to take our best care of little Omega, and make sure humans never touch her. She is under our protection now, and we will never let anyone hurt her.” Crosshair promises, as the others smile at him.
“Yeah, what they said. Omega is safe with us, so please rest peacefully.” Wrecker adds, and Echo smiles. “We will bring her to visit you when she’s older, I promise.” Echo promises her, as they all bow their heads for a moment of silence. Once it’s over, they grab the bucks and head their way back to the cabin, but only after marking her resting place with a rock.

The others walk in to see Tech feeding Omega, the tiny pup bundled into a blanket. They put the bucks into the utility room, connected to the kitchen, where Hunter skins the buck with his hunting knife and Tech guts and chop it up. He does that since he doesn’t have a proper job. So he’ll bag up the guts and chunks of meat up to be frozen, ready for the winter. Tech isn’t one for killing though.
Yes, you may think that werewolves are mindless, evil killing machines, but they’re not. It’s all down to the personal preference of the werewolf. And if they are in a pack, like the Bad Batch, some of them may want to opt out. So in this case, it’s Tech. He is okay with them already being dead and dealing with the corpse, but he hates having to kill.
Even though it’s completely natural, Tech actually found it embarrassing, he was so nervous and thought he was going to be abandoned by his brothers because of it. They were so supportive though, telling him that he does not have to hunt. That’s when Tech said that he would prepare the meat, but have Hunter skin the buck first.
Echo sits down next to Tech, removing his prosthetic legs, since they irritate him sometimes. So when he’s in the comfort of his own home, he’ll take them off and relax without having pieces of metal attached to him all of the time. Hunter, Crosshair and Wrecker walk back into the large, open room of the cabin, filling the air with the divine, ambrosial smell of sweet blood. The three of them lick themselves as clean as they can, not wanting to waste any of the fresh, delicious blood from the buck.
“Tech, we’re just going to clean ourselves off in the lake. We’ll be back in a bit.” Hunter lets him know, walking back out and heading to the lake, running into it and splashing around, making sure to get the rest of the blood out and any dirt from when they were tackling the buck. Tech and Echo chuckle contently, hearing their brothers outside in the lake playing around and having fun. Omega lets out a burp, bringing Tech’s attention back to her, so he smiles as he puts the bottle down and burps her.
After a moment, her burping intensifies as she pukes all over Tech’s chest. Echo’s eyes widen, grabbing one of the blankets and wiping her mouth gently, while he leans on Tech’s shoulder for support so he doesn’t fall. Omega whimpers and cries, making Tech frown “Oh dear, Darling. There there, it’s alright. Shh, youre okay.” His voice is soft and comforting.
Omega starts to calm down a bit, only letting out small whimpers. Tech turns to Echo. “Maybe you should shift to human and give her a bath, and I’ll go and clean up in the river?” Tech suggests, and Echo nods. He quickly pulls his legs on and runs to another room, shifting back to human before running back in and taking Omega in one arm, she’s a bit heavy, but he manages.
“Aww, do you need a bath, sweetheart?” Echo asks, using a soft voice as he watches Tech run outside. He then walks to the kitchen, grabbing a small tub and holding it under his right arm as he then walks upstairs. He makes a mental note to buy a baby bath in town tonight for Omega. Echo sets the little tub in their bathtub, setting Omega on the carpet as he gently turns the water on, doing his best to get a nice temperature for her.
She whines at the loss of his heat, making Echo look down. “Shh, it’s alright. I’m right here, sweetheart.” Echo soothes her, turning the water off once the little tub is half full. He checks the water, dipping his elbow in and humming when he feels that the water is perfect. He smiles and picks Omega up, taking her diaper off and gently setting her in the tub.
She lets out a whine, not liking the water at all, it makes Echo chuckle. “Don’t worry, it won’t be for long.” It only takes a few minutes to get the vomit out of her fur, and he pulls her out, wrapping her up in a fluffy towel.
“There, all clean.” He whispers, pressing a soft kiss to her nose. Echo stands up and leaves the washroom, walking downstairs and back to the living room. He immediately sees that everyone is back inside, still in their werewolf forms, Tech is probably cleaning the deer, getting all the guts out.
“Wrecker, your turn to cuddle her.” Echo informs him, and Wrecker nods, curling around the blankets as Echo sets Omega down in the middle. Wrecker chuckles as he gently dries her off, then he grabs a diaper. He struggles with it, making Hunter chuckle. “Want me to do it?” He asks, and Wrecker nods sheepishly. Hunter takes the diaper and puts it on her expertly, making Wrecker jealous “Show off.” Wrecker grumbles, making the others laugh playfully. Hunter places a hand on his shoulder “Don't worry, I'll teach you sometime, then you'll be a diaper changer expert too.”
“Alright!” Wrecker pumps a fist in the air enthusiastically, making his voice so it's just above normal talking, but not loud enough to cause the pup to wail. Tech then walks back in, drying his hands off as he smiles. “What’s all the excitement about?”
“Wrecker can’t wait to learn how to change a diaper.” Hunter tells him, then Tech chuckles. “What’s so funny?” Wrecker asks, raising an eyebrow. It then occurs to Hunter too, making him laugh. “What??” Wrecker asks again, a little louder.
“Well, just prepare for a lot of mess. You’re not going to like it,” Tech tells Wrecker, patting his back and chuckling to himself. “I had to deal with a pretty messy one last night.” Wrecker looks a little worried now. “Uh, how messy?”
“Do you remember that time we made a cake last year, and it exploded in the oven? Just picture that, along with a much worse smell.” Wrecker nods, taking a moment to realise what he means, making him begin to have second thoughts, going “Eww!” Which makes everyone laugh.
Hunter then pipes up “I’m an expert, because I remember how many messes you guys would make.” Hunter holds back laughter the best he can, picturing memories of them as toddlers, remembering when Wrecker would jump up and run around butt naked whenever Hunter was changing his.
It was only them and their mother for three years. They lost their father when Hunter was only seven years old, he died in a car accident. Well, that’s what they were told. Hunter found out three years later that their mother had murdered him, so he ran away with his brothers.
They ran across the plainlands, through dense forests and even swam through freezing rivers. Thank god for their fur, because they would have frozen to death. Now here they are, living a safe, happy life out here in the wilderness.
They’ve come so far from where they began. They started off with living in a cave not too far away, then they built their own cabin after some time, gathering up money and resources. It’s the perfect place to be raising a kid, not outside in the snow, since it seemed that Omega’s mother had no place to stay, so Omega may not have even survived the winter.
Hunter is pulled out of his thoughts when Omega starts to whine, and he pulls her close as she shivers. She starts trying to suckle again, making Hunter sigh and Tech chuckle. “Looks like Miss Omega needs another bottle.” Tech stands up, leaving to go get one warmed up. Hunter gently holds Omega, then he looks up to see Crosshair staring at Omega. “Want to hold her?”
Crosshair’s ears press back. “She might cry.” He tells Hunter, but Hunter shakes his head, handing Omega to Crosshair. “She won’t.” Crosshair takes her, gently cradling the pup in his arms and against his chest. She tries to suckle, making Crosshair chuckle.
Then Tech runs back in, smiling when he sees the sight and handing Crosshair the bottle. “Here. I’ve added some blood from the buck in it, so it’ll fill her up a little more than the other feeds did.” Crosshair takes it, bringing it to Omega’s nose and allowing her to smell the milk. As soon as she smells the milk, she starts whimpering and whining, moving up towards it. Crosshair gently pops the nub in her mouth, and she starts to drink. This time though, she drinks it more quickly and hungrily, due to the fresh blood in it.
Everyone smiles, watching their youngest brother with the pup. It’s so sweet, making it even more worth it to raise Omega. She drinks the milk, hitting her little clawed hands against the bottle. Hunter smiles, petting her head from where he sits beside Crosshair. “Such a hungry little thing.” He chuckles, making everyone smile.
“Yeah, we’ll need to go get more supplies soon.” Tech suggests, and everyone nods, Crosshair and Echo look at eachother. “We can grab a few things, since I have to drive Echo to work.” Tech nods. “Good, I’ll make a list.” He runs out, just as Omega finishes her bottle and Crosshair gently burps her. Watching their brother doing that is the weirdest thing, but it warms everyone's hearts.

It’s been two weeks since they found Omega, and since then, she’s settled in really well. The Bad Batch have planned on baby things she will need, so Tech is working on hand making a wooden baby crib, Wrecker is busy hunting for more Buck for them and smaller creatures for Omega when she starts teething, since werewolves like to chew on pieces of meat. Crosshair is out and about in town, looking for baby toys and books, while he waits for Echo to finish his shift at work.
Hunter on the other hand decided to take a nap with Omega, to keep her safe and company, hugging her with one arm. That’s when he hears her crying. They’ve become accumulated to her crying, knowing that it’s either that she wants a bottle or needs her diaper changing. Hunter rubs the sleep from his eyes with his free hand, allowing him to see clearly and open his eyes, staring at the ceiling. “What’s the matter, Pup, hey?” He coos, but when he turns his head to look at her, he’s met with an unexpected surprise.
He can’t lie, he panicked for a moment, for some reason he can’t explain, but he just gets the biggest smile on his face. His eyes meet with hers. She’s opened her eyes! “Hey, Pup. Hi.” Hunter is overjoyed, her soft brown eyes meet with his yellow ones, making her coo and reach out to his face, patting her hand against his cheek.
Hunter thinks to himself, trying to figure out why she has brown eyes and not yellow like theirs. He’s brought out of his thoughts though when he remembers why he got woke up, hearing her whimpers start again. “Ah, yes right. You hungry, Pup?” As an answer, Omega suckles on him again. He lets out a small chuckle “Dinner it is.”
He stands up from the sea of blankets in the lounge, bundling her up in a blanket and walks to the kitchen, grabbing an already prepared bottle. He warms it up and then walks outside to the front porch of the house, holding Omega close to keep her warm.
Sitting down, Hunter makes sure Omega is cradled comfortably against him before feeding her. Once he’s happy, he brings the bottle to her mouth and smiles when she drinks the milk and blood concoction. They have been bringing Omega outdoors every now and then, more and more regularly as time goes by, to allow her body to become accumulated to the colder temperatures, so when she’s older, she won’t have a literal shock to her system.
Hunter see’s that the moon is starting to rise, making him frown. “Oh no.” He whispers, seeing that his brothers aren’t back yet. But just then the truck arrives, squealing to a stop as Crosshair and Echo rip the door open and jump out, ripping their clothes off, and in Echo’s case, his prosthetics.
They then kneel on the ground, starting to shift from the full moon. That’s one of the only things about them the humans did not make up, they are forced to transform and stay in their wolf forms during full moon’s. It sucks.
They both let out growls and groans, as they grow larger, fur covering their forms, it’s only a few seconds and they’re done, Crosshair picking Echo up and carrying him up to the porch, setting him down. “Sorry we’re late, Echo was kept late at work.” Crosshair explains, and Echo nods apologetically. Hunter smiles. “It’s alright, as long as you guys got back in time.”
Crosshair smiles, running in and grabbing Echo’s legs, bringing them back. He hands them to him, watching his older brother place them on before standing. “That is so much better.” Echo groans happily, making Hunter smile.
Crosshair then smiles, looking over at Omega, he comes closer. “Aww, someone got hun-- Holy Shit!!” Echo slaps Crosshair’s arm as Omega starts wailing. “Cross!” He scolds.
“Sorry. Sorry, but her eyes are open.” Echo freezes as he moves closer to Hunter, who has a beaming smile. Both Echo and Crosshair get their own large smiles. “Woah, you’re right! Hello there, Omega.” Echo coos, as Crosshair chuckles, but then he frowns. “Brown eyes? But she’s in her werewolf form, shouldn’t they be yellow?”
Hunter shrugs “I’m not sure. She could be defective like us--” “Please don’t say that.” Hunter looks at Crosshair, completely forgetting in the moment what that word means to him. That was the last thing that their mother had shouted at them...
You defects won’t last a day out there!! I hope you just drop dead! You all deserve it!!
Hunter flinches and shudders at the almost forgotten memory “Sorry, Cross. Maybe Omega’s just different, like us.” Hunter explains, looking into her eyes which are teary now. He smiles and gently wipes away her tears with a finger. Omega then reaches up her hand and curls it around his finger.
It’s an adorable sight that warms all of their hearts, and there’s an even bigger heart that is currently running down the path towards them. Wrecker bolts towards them on all fours, kicking up the snow as he runs, a smaller Buck in his mouth and smaller animals tied on a string over his shoulder and around his chest. He skids to a halt just in front of them, dropping the buck on the ground from his mouth and standing up, taking off the string of smaller creatures and placing them on top of the buck.
“Heya, guys!” He smiles, but his smile becomes even wider when his eyes meet with two soft brown ones staring up at him. He refrains himself from yelling, not wanting to scare Omega, who’s still being fed. “She’s opened her eyes?? That’s amazing, when?” Hunter nods, noticing that Omega has finished her bottle, so he burps her. “It was about ten minutes ago, so quite recent. Echo and Crosshair have only just got back too.”
“I know, I heard the car from a mile away. Sounded like you were driving pretty fast, Cross. Echo held back at work again?” Crosshair nods, letting out a small growl that makes Omega flinch, but not cry, now she knows what is making the sound. “Yeah, they did.” They all look at Echo, who’s rubbing at his stub.
“Echo, you shouldn’t keep working there if they hold you back but don’t pay you extra. It’s not right, neither is it fair. Especially when it’s on days like these.” Hunter explains to him, a sad look on his face when he hears Echo sigh. “At least my one manager gives me a bit of extra pay, he’s nice. I know it’s not the best, but what other choice do I have? I can hardly work like you guys can, since I’m not as able.”
They all let out a whine, hating that Echo feels like this. It’s one of the reasons why they hate humans for hating them. When they are human, everything is fine, but if they talk shit about werewolves, it really pisses them off. “You could take art up. I can go on some extra hunting jobs until you get the hang of it?” Crosshair offers, and Echo perks up briefly, before whimpering nervously “No, no no. I can’t make you do that--”
“You aren’t making me do anything. It’ll be better for you. Us as well.” Crosshair carries on, then Wrecker interjects. “Yeah, we worry about you, Echo.” Echo’s tail wags, happy that they are there for him and care about him so much, even if he isn’t physically whole. “Thanks guys. Hey, maybe we should go and see Tech.” Everyone nods in agreement.
“Great idea.” Hunter lets out a rumble of content, making Omega snuggle into him as they all walk around the side of the cabin to the shed that they built. It’s the perfect size for a human, but not for a werewolf. They have another, more werewolf sized one. Hunter crouches down and walks in, as the others peek from the doorway, they all see Tech slumped over the table, still in werewolf form and completely passed out. They all snicker, this isn't the first time this has happened. He’s hunched over plans for Omega’s crib.
Hunter gently hands Omega to Crosshair, then moves closer to Tech, shaking his shoulders. “Tech, you fell asleep again.” Hunter says softly, and Tech yawns. He blinks his eyes open. “Hunter? I’m up, I’m up.” Tech goes to stand up, making Hunter and everyone realize he must have fallen asleep while still human.
“Tech! Wait, don’t--” But it’s too late, as Tech hits the roof with a loud thump, making him yelp and crouch down. “Ow ow ow ow.” He whimpers, rubbing his head and growling.
“You okay?” Hunter asks, and Tech nods. “Yeah, forgot it was a full moon.” He says, rubbing his head as both him and Hunter exit the shed. Tech stretches as soon as he gets out there, and Hunter laughs as he takes Omega from Crosshair.
“Someone wants to see you, Tech.” Hunter says, and Tech looks at him with confusion. “What? For one, she can’t see me--” Tech freezes when Omega is set in his arms, and he sees the big, brown eyes staring at him.
“She opened her eyes? When did that happen?!!” He asks, and Hunter chuckles. “Only a little bit before the moon rose.” Tech gets the biggest smile, just like the others did. Then he looks down at Omega. “Well, looks like you finally get to see us, Miss Omega.” Tech coos, and Omega coos back, hitting his arm with her little clawed hands.
Everyone awws at her, then Wrecker starts jumping a bit. “Let's howl at the moon now!!” He says excitedly, making everyone stare at the moon and get antsy. “Won’t it scare Omega?” Crosshair asks, but Hunter shrugs. “She wasn’t scared when you growled, because she can see who’s making it now. If she does get scared, we stop.” Hunter offers, and they all nod. Tech hands Omega back to Hunter, knowing how much his older brother loves to hold her.
They walk to the edge of the small lake outside their cabin, Hunter holding Omega close as they all stand tall, taking in a big, deep breath as they all howl at the moon, loud and strong. After a few moments, they stop to breathe, but before they can howl again-- “Awoooo!”
They all freeze and look at Omega, who lets out the loudest howl she can muster, but it ends up sounding squeaky. Their hearts warm and they smile widely before howling again, this time Omega joining. The night air is filled with their howls, letting the whole forest know that they aren’t afraid to hide who they are whenever they are safe and alone with the company of each other, able to be free and proud to be werewolves, the so-called monsters that humans think that they are.
Once they finish, they sigh in content, letting out a deep rumble from their chests. Omega then yawns and closes her eyes, falling asleep. “Aww, someone's tired.” Wrecker coos, and then Omega shivers a bit, making everyone frown. “We should get her inside now, she’s been outside for a while.” Hunter lets them know, making everyone nod and head inside.
Hunter waits for a little bit, seeing that Omega has opened her eyes again, mesmerized by the bright lights in the sky and the glow of the moon, reaching up towards them. Hunter chuckles and whispers to her “Those are stars, Pup. We’ll come back and see them tomorrow, I promise that they’ll still be there.” Omega’s eyes droop again and close, her head falling against Hunter’s chest as she drifts off to sleep.
Hunter smiles and carries her into the cabin, and to her little pile of blankets. His brothers are all sitting on the floor, and smile when they see the sleeping baby. “You know, if anyone asked us two weeks ago if we’d ever take care of a pup, I’m pretty sure we all would say no.” Hunter whispers, making everyone chuckle. “Yeah, look at us now. We have a baby. A baby who’s a girl.” Wrecker laughs out, making everyone chuckle. “Yeah, wouldn’t change it, tho. The only way I would change it, is to have her mother survive.” Echo says, and Hunter frowns. “Yeah, I’m sure we’d all change that.”

Hunter and everyone lazes with Omega, the little Pup being so aware of her surroundings now. They are all still in their werewolf forms, this being how it always is after a full moon. It’s nice for them to stay transformed afterwards.
The only time they turn human right after a full moon is when one has to work. But that's usually Echo, and he thankfully only had a morning shift, so Crosshair and him transformed as soon as they got back, not even coming into the living room until they were wolves.
Omega coos, as Crosshair changes her diaper. This one, was unfortunately a messy one, making them all cover their noses. “Uh, how does such a little thing make such a stink?!!” Wrecker asks, and Hunter chuckles. “You were much worse, believe me.”
Everyone laughs at that, as Crosshair finishes, throwing the diaper out. “Ah, all clean, Squirt.” He coos, making Omega make her own tiny cooing noise, hitting his nose as he nuzzles her little stomach. Hunter smiles softly, as Crosshair lays her down and curls around her.
She yawns and falls asleep, but they all know she’s due for a bottle in about an hour, so this nap won’t last for long. Crosshair smiles as he lays beside her, petting the tiny Pup’s head. He frowns. “She hasn’t gotten much bigger?” He says with confusion, making Tech hum. “Well, she’s only two weeks old. And premature, who knows how long it’ll take her to grow.” Crosshair nods, worry leaving his features.
Hunter stretches out a bit, laying on his back. “Nice to be able to have a day of being a werewolf.” He hums, and Wrecker laughs loudly. “Yeah, Omega gets that every day.” They all laugh, laying down and just relaxing.

Hunter smiles as he gets dressed, it’s been about two days since Omega’s opened her eyes, and everything’s been great. He finishes getting dressed, and walks downstairs. Tech is cuddling with Omega this time. So the rest of them are human. Wrecker, Echo and Crosshair are still sleeping. Hunter walks to the living room to see his Omega.
But when she sees him, she shakes and starts wailing, pressing her face into Tech’s chest. Hunter gets a confused look. “What’s wrong with her, Tech?” Hunter walks forward and crouches down, going to pick her up, but when Omega turns back around and sees Hunter go to pick her up, she nips his hand, and scratches him. Hunter lets out a whine, one that he’s made while around Omega.
It’s at that moment that Omega’s wails turn to sniffles, her ears perking up a little. Hunter seethes in slight pain from the scratches, but when the pain passes and the scratches start to heal themselves, he looks at her, seeing her expression is no longer one of fear now, but more confusion. It’s quiet for a few moments, but then Tech realises-- “She must have been scared and didn’t know who you are, and it seems like she is still confused and unsure.”
Hunter feels bad for scaring Omega, but then he uses the gentle voice that he’s been using in front of her for the past couple of weeks. “Hey, Pup. It’s alright, don’t be afraid.” Omega is still not sure about him. Tech hums “Maybe you should transform in front of her.”
Hunter’s eyes widen. “It might scare her being this young.” Hunter whimpers a little, but then Tech sighs “I know, but I don’t see any other logical solution to this situation, because if you walk out and transform and walk back in your wolf form, then she’ll think that your human form is just a stranger. So seeing you transform will make her realise that you are the same person.”
It does make sense, Hunter sighs in defeat, standing up and walking away, Omega watching with curious eyes. Hunter pulls off his shirt and his bandana too, placing them on the couch. Next, he changes his pants for a pair of the already ripped ones in the box. He concentrates and starts transforming immediately, sighing when he feels it start. He keeps his groans and growls to a minimum, knowing that this is Omega’s first time seeing them transform.
He sees Omega watching him with wide eyes, also letting out a whimper and a whine here and there, but Tech rubs her back soothingly. Hunter’s bones crack and rearrange, fur growing all over his body as he gets bigger, his pants tearing. His face elongates into a snout and his tail grows long and fluffy. He huffs once it’s finished, standing in the familiar wolf form that Omega has seen him in for the past two days.
Omega’s expression is almost unreadable, so Hunter speaks softly and coos “See, it’s still me. I promise, Pup, I’m still me when I’m like that.” After a moment, Omega whines and reaches out to him, making tiny grabby motions. Tech smiles when Hunter walks over “See? She recognises you.”
Hunter smiles and gently takes her into his arms, holding her close. “Yeah, I’m so happy about that.” He says, nuzzling Omega and making her laugh.
Suddenly Crosshair, Wrecker and Echo walk in. Crosshair smiles and walks over. “Hey, Squirt.” He says groggily, but they all wake up immediately when she starts wailing.
“Omega, what’s wrong, Sweetheart?” Echo asks, but she continues to cry. Crosshair walks over and tries to pick her up from Hunter’s arms, but she nips at him, making Crosshair pull his hand away. “Is she afraid of us?” Wrecker asks, noticing that she’s trying to hide. Hunter sighs. “She’s never seen us as humans before, so she doesn’t understand that we’re the same.” Crosshair gets a confused look.
“But we’ve been human around her before?” He questions, but Tech pops up. “Yes, before she opened her eyes. And since she’s opened her eyes, it was a full moon, and we’ve all stayed in our werewolf forms. Except you and Echo, but you two have transformed before coming anywhere near Omega’s line of sight.”
“Oh, so she thinks we’re strangers.” Wrecker ponders, and Tech nods. “Yes, also you do smell the same, so that may also be confusing her. Since in her mind, your scent belongs to three werewolves, not three humans.” Echo nods. “That makes so much sense, a sweetheart.” He coos, but Omega just cries. Wrecker goes to walk closer, but she lets out a small, squeaky growl.
“Aww.” Wrecker coos, but he gets a sad look. Hunter frowns at them. “I had to transform to show her that I’m… well, me. I’m thinking we transform for a few moments, but then transform back to human? To maybe seal the deal, and prove that it’s us.” They all nod.
“That makes sense, then Tech can just transform to human.” Echo suggests, and Tech nods. Echo, Crosshair and Wrecker all take their shirts off, grabbing their ripped pants from the box near the door, quickly changing and walking back in. Echo pulls off his legs, sitting on the ground since he won’t be in that form for long.
“Alright, this won’t scare the Squirt?” Crosshair asks, and Hunter nods. “She was a bit, but she didn’t seem scared. More upset, she probably thought it caused me a lot of pain, and not just discomfort.” They all nod.
“Alright, here we go, Kid!” Wrecker softly tells her, enthusiasm evident in his voice, she whimpers a bit, making their hearts break. They then close their eyes and start to shift, sighing in relief. Crosshair opens his now yellow eyes, looking to Omega who has a confused look, as they all try to keep their growls and groans in a bit more, not wanting to scare her too much.
Echo growls a bit, fur covering his body as his bones crack. His body grows bigger, arm growing longer, as his teeth grow sharper. His mouth elongates, becoming a snout. Wrecker smiles happily, as his legs crack and bend, becoming haunches. It doesn’t feel as nice for them, since they were all wanting to be in their human forms, but anything for Omega.
It ends with them growing a bit bigger, and tails growing from their backsides, but Crosshair and Wrecker stretch out a bit. Omega coos at them now, making them smile. “There, so should we turn human now?” Wrecker asks, and Hunter nods. He hands Omega to Tech. “How about we go first, then Tech goes? Since someone has to hold Omega?”
They all nod and then step back, closing their eyes in concentration before they feel themselves change back. Omega whimpers, reaching out her hands to them, struggling in Tech’s hold. Tech presses his ears back as he hushes her. “Shh, it’s okay. There there, they’re okay.” Omega looks up at him with teary eyes as her lip quivering a little, looking at him as if she can understand, because she stops wriggling around but still whines, her eyes looking in the direction of everyone transforming.
Their bodies start to crack and snap back into place, their fur, teeth and claws retracting as their ears become less pointy and their eyes become less wolf-like, returning to their usual honey brown appearance. Their tails grow shorter and shorter until they become nothing, their legs and arms now human as they shrink down to their normal human selves. The transformation finishes and Hunter ties his bandana around his head. None of them bother getting dressed for now, since they usually don’t put their clothes on straight away, they’ll just walk around in their torn pants and even sleep in them.
Omega is still whimpering in Tech’s arms, but she no longer seems scared. Hunter takes a few experimental steps forward, not wanting Omega to feel scared again. Instead of the timid reaction he expected, she throws her hands out infront of her, as if she needs him. Tech chuckles sweetly, this time letting Omega move to the direction she wants to go. In this instance, that would be Hunter “Looks like she wants you, Hunter.”
Hunter smiles and walks a little quicker, stopping right in front of Tech and Omega. She pulls retreats back into Tech, thinking for a moment with a timid look on her face, almost as if she is having second thoughts. But then she reaches out again with a whine, letting Hunter know that she wants him to pick her up.
Hunter reaches out to her and takes her from Tech, cradling her gently in his arms, holding her close to his chest. He kisses the top of her head, making her let out a small noise of content, nuzzling into his face. Tech stands up with a smile and transforms next, becoming more and more human, then only half a minute later, he’s fully human.
Crosshair walks over and pets her head. “Glad that’s taken care of, I do not like her being scared of us.” He grumbles. Seeing Omega afraid of him had really, really hurt. Omega coos, hitting his face with her hand. Crosshair smiles a rare smile, sighing with relief. “Omega!” Wrecker runs over, making Omega coo. Echo follows Wrecker, chuckling softly as he looks at the little pup.
“You are such a Sweety. I’ll have to see you later. Cross, I gotta work.” Crosshair nods as both him and Echo run to get dressed into regular clothes, as Tech walks over to see Omega, the Pup whimpers until she smells him, then coos.
Echo and Crosshair run out the door, jumping into the truck. Crosshair starts it up, driving down the road. He turns and looks to Echo. “Have you eaten today?” He asks, knowing how his oldest brother is. He has a habit of starving himself at some points, part of his trauma. Echo frowns. “No, I haven’t.” Crosshair sighs softly. “Let’s pick you up something from Tim Hortons, alright? Just a breakfast wrap and smoothie?” He suggests, and Echo nods. “Alright, thanks Cross.”
Crosshair smiles. “No thanks necessary. We take care of eachother, no matter what.” Tim Hortons is right on the edge of town, next to the gas station, so they get there in only a few minutes, pulling the truck into the drivethru and winds down his window, looking at the menu while he waits for--
“Hi, welcome to Tim Hortons, what can I get for you?” The employee asks through the speaker. Crosshair rests an arm on the car door. “Hi, just a bacon and sausage breakfast wrap and a smoothie.”
“Yep. Okay, what flavour and size smoothie will that be, sir?” Crosshair looks at Echo for an answer, then Echo smiles “My favourite, please.” Crosshair nods and smiles, looking back at the speaker. “Strawberry and Banana, also make it a large.”
“Is that everything for you?” The employee checks, then Crosshair looks over at Echo who nods timidly. “Yeah, that’s everything.” Crosshair replies.
“That’s great, just drive on round and make your payment there.” The employee tells Crosshair. “Thanks.” He replies, driving around the building to the payment and collection window.
The employee has a kind smile on her face as Crosshair pulls up, reaching for his wallet. “That’ll be $13.” She says, Crosshair handing over the money in exact amount. The food soon arrives and is handed over to him. “Have a good day, sir.”
“Thanks.” Crosshair takes it and places the wrap in his lap as he places the staw in the smoothie before handing it to Echo, who takes it and drinks some of it as Crosshair drives into a space in the parking lot. He parks the car and takes the wrap off of his lap, holding it to Echo. “Here ya go. It’s nice ‘n’ warm.
Crosshair frowns when he notices that Echo pretends to not see or hear him, sipping his smoothie as he looks out of the window. Crosshair sighs a little, not in anger, but in sadness “You need to eat, Echo.” Still no reply…
“...Has someone said something to you?” Crosshair asks, seeing the way Echo flinches at the question. “Maybe.” Echo mumbles as he sips more of his smoothie. Crosshair bristles a bit, growling. “What did they say?” Echo shakes his head. “Nothing, it’s fine.”
Crosshair knows it’s not fine, not at all. But he sighs, knowing that Echo won't tell him anything now. “Eat. Please, Echo.” Echo sighs, placing his drink between his legs. He takes the wrap from Crosshair, ripping the top half of cardboard off and taking a small bite. Crosshair smiles, checking the time to see that they still have twenty minutes until Echo’s shift. He always leaves early, just in case Echo needs food.
He takes small bites from his wrap, humming at the taste. “Hey, you think we could con Hunter into getting a pizza for dinner?” Crosshair jokes, making Echo chuckle. “Isn’t it me who you usually con?”
Crosshair chuckles. “Yeah, you got me. Can we get one?” He asks hopefully, making Echo laugh. “This is one of the few times you actually sound nineteen, Crossy. And not older.” Crosshair shakes his head. “Can we?” He asks again, and Echo sighs. “You know I can’t say no to you. Of course we can, it’ll be a surprise for the others.” Echo winks, then looks down with a surprise look to see half his wrap gone.
He takes the rest out, eating it quickly. Crosshair smiles. “Yeah, definitely.” He then frowns. “You know you can tell us when someones saying things to you, right? Just because you’re the oldest, doesn’t mean you need to hide these things from us.” Crosshair tells him, his voice going much softer than usual.
Echo has taken care of them for a long time, ever since they found him and nursed him back to health. Crosshair was ten back then, and Echo helped raise him and his brothers ever since. Echo sighs. “It’s fine, Crossy. I only have ten minutes to get to work, can we please go?” Crosshair lets out a sigh, but nods. “Of course, can’t have you late.” He starts the truck, pulling out of the parking lot. Echo sips at his smoothie as they drive, and Crosshair keeps an eye on him.
He pulls up in front of the blockbuster, three minutes to spare. Echo smiles. “Thanks, Cross. Here, you can finish off my smoothie.” Echo hands him the half full drink, hopping out of the truck and running into the store after the door closes.
Crosshair stares at the cup with worry in his eyes, this is Echo’s favourite drink. He almost always finishes it, this isn’t right. He drives away, promising himself that he’ll speak to the manager when he gets back later, so as not to let Echo know. He just wants his brother to be watched over, not trusting these damned humans.
He drives to a local pub, one he usually stays at. Not to drink, but to talk, and see if he hears anything about Omega’s mother… or perhaps her unknown father. He also would love a game of darts about now, or pool.

Crosshair had gone shopping for supplies earlier in the day, so he took a trip back home before heading back out to town to pick Echo up from work. He works five hour shifts Monday to Thursday, so his job isn’t too hard on him but he still gets paid enough.
Usually his manager is kind and pays Echo more, knowing that he needs the extra help and support. Echo is usually stubborn about being helped out, since he wants to feel independent, but when it comes to being paid or having some sort of service done for him, he’ll take it with gratitude.
Crosshair drives down the road and approaches the blockbuster, but what he sees makes his blood absolutely boil. Echo is on the floor, surrounded by some teens, about a year younger than Crosshair. They laugh and spit on Echo, making Echo grimace in disgust and cry.
One of the teens is holding his leg, teasing Echo with it by pretending to give it back, but quickly ripping it away when Echo reaches for it. Echo’s face has some dirt there and is riddled with bruises, not healing. Echo’s healing hasn’t worked very well after what the humans poisoned him with. Which makes his brothers even more protective of him.
Crosshair has never swerved into a parking lot and parked the car up so fast in his life, jumping out and running over to where his older brother is on the floor and trying to crawl away, tears streaming down his face. One of the teens is about to kick him when Crosshair pushes him back. “I’d give that back and fuck off if I were you.” Crosshair warns through gritted teeth, standing over Echo protectively.
The teens cower back slightly at Crosshair’s tone, but the oldest doesn’t seem to back down, instead walking towards him “Oh yeah? What you gonna do about it, old man--?” In a split second, Crosshair’s fist is thrown at the teens face, making the teen stumble back and clutch at his nose, his eyes watering “Shit! He broke my nose!”
Crosshair glares at them “Now...Give me his leg back and fuck the hell off. Ya hear me?” The other teen holding the leg is panicking and doesn’t want to go anywhere near Crosshair, so he tosses it into a garbage can.
At that moment, one of Echo’s managers bursts out of the store, brushing some of his ginger hair from his face. The other one had already gone home early, as usual. “What’s going on?” He asks, eyes wide, when he sees Echo on the floor, a group of teenagers and Echo’s leg in a garbage can. He sees red when he glares at the teens. “Leave, now! Don’t come here ever again, you hear me?!”
The teenager with the broken nose and blood on his face glares at Crosshair and then they all run off. Crosshair is absolutely fuming, trying so hard right now not to transform, but then the sound of whimpering and sobbing draws his attention away from the retreating degenerates.
“Echo…” Crosshair says as he kneels on the ground and pulls Echo up and into him, wiping away his tears and being careful of the bruises there. Echo sobs and hides his face in his arm, making Crosshair feel so angry and so sad that they’ve broken Echo to pieces. “Those bastards. I swear, I’ll kill ‘em.”
Crosshair feels someone tap his shoulder, making him whip his head around, seeing Echo’s manager crouch down, holding Echo’s leg out to him. This must be the nice manager he’s heard about. “Here, it isn’t too dirty. Luckily it just landed on some boxes.” He hands it to Crosshair, who takes it and immediately attaches it to Echo. The manager sees something in Crosshair’s eyes, was that...a flash of yellow?
“Why don’t you come into my office? I have a first aid kit, so we can patch him up.” Echo’s manager offers, his blue eyes full of sadness that his favourite employee has gotten into such a state. Crosshair is struggling to process anything, but he nods “Please.”
The manager sees the sharper teeth when Crosshair talks, but says nothing of it as he helps Echo up along with Crosshair, each putting an arm over their shoulder, Crosshair on Echo’s right, since he knows how sensitive Echo is about others touching his stub.
As they go into the store, the manager closes the shop, flipping the sign from open to closed, to make sure no customers will enter. They walk through the empty store and into the back where the office is located. It’s a pretty decent size, though it’s only big enough for a desk, some cabinets and a sofa, in which they lay Echo on.
Once Echo’s in a comfortable position, Crosshair sits down on a seat nearby, interlocking his fingers and placing his elbows on his knees, leaning over as his leg bounces. The manager eyes Crosshair as he walks to the white first box on the wall and brings it back over to Echo, kneeling down and taking out an antibacterial wipe.
Being careful of the bruises, he wipes the dirt off of Echo’s face gently, frowning at the sight of Echo’s weak and sobbing form and Crosshair sitting hunched over on the chair. “Can you take off the beanie? Just so I can check for bruising, or a head wound?” Echo shakes his head rapidly, making the manager frown. “Please? You know me, I won’t make fun or anything. I just want to help.” He sees the younger brother tense up a bit, but Echo sighs and nods. He takes the beanie off.
The manager frowns with worry when he sees the patchy hair, a few bald spots here and there, but smiles. “Hm, no damage. That’s good. You can put it back on now.” Echo nods, pulling the beanie back on. The manager then turns to his brother, smiling. “I don’t think I’ve introduced myself yet, I’m Obi Wan.”
Crosshair hums, groaning a bit. “I’m Crosshair, Echo’s youngest brother.” Obi Wan smiles. “Well, it’s very nice to meet you, are you okay?” Crosshair nods, still looking down. “Yeah, can you give us a bit alone? Please?” Obi Wan nods, walking out. Echo looks at Crosshair, frowning. “You okay?” He asks softly, but Crosshair shakes his head.
“I’m going to transform.” Echo goes pale, even paler than usual. “Crossy, no. You gotta hold it back.” Crosshair starts pulling his shirts off, then his boots in preparation.Crosshair looks up, bright yellow eyes looking in fear.
“I’ve been holding it back Echo, since I saw ya getting beat up. I can’t anymore.” He whines a bit, making Echo growl and look to the door. Crosshair’s right, he won’t be able to hold it any longer.
He’s going to hurt himself if he does. “Alright. Alright, just… we need… no.” He panics, not knowing what to do. He needs to protect his baby brother, but how. He knows Obi Wan is nice, but what will he do when he finds out about them?
Crosshair lets out a yell, falling to the ground and groaning. Echo’s heart breaks, knowing how painful a transformation is after holding it in, especially when your body forces it. Echo jumps off the couch and limps over to Crosshair, holding him close. “Shh, it’s alright. I’m here, It’s alright.” Echo whispers softly, holding Crosshair close, shoving his face into his chest to muffle his baby brother's screams.
He holds him close as Crosshair’s bones crack, bending and rearranging. Crosshair growls into Echo’s chest, as fur grows all over his body, and his face starts to elongate. He continues to grow bigger and bigger, dwarfing Echo as a large fluffy tail grows from his backside, and his legs crack and form haunches.
It’s finally finished, Crosshair fully transformed and sporting grey fur, claws and sharp teeth. He whimpers and whines, pulling Echo into his lap and holding him like a lifeline. The painful transformations are always bad for Crosshair, causing him to be extra scared and cuddly.
“What the fuck is going on?!” Obi Wan yells, neither Echo or Crosshair saw him come in. He’s holding up a pair of scissors, pointing them menacingly at Crosshair. Crosshair whimpers a bit, burying his face into Echo’s chest. He hates humans seeing him, it always hurts when they fear him, and call him a monster, it hurts every one of the werewolves.
Obi Wan gets a confused look, not understanding what the hell is going on. Echo holds his hand up in surrender “Don't, Obi Wan, please.” He begs, tears in his eyes, thinking that Obi Wan is going to kill them. Obi Wan blinks a few times, not sure if he's seeing things or what. He holds the scissors in his hand, but not pointing them at Crosshair with such menace. “Is that...Crosshair? H-He's a…? Shit.” Obi Wan's voice wavers, he feels fear and falls back against his desk, covering his mouth with one hand.
“Don't hurt him, he's only young.” Echo whimpers, wrapping his arm around Crosshair. Obi Wan is speechless, not sure about what to do or say. After a few moments, he finds the courage to talk “Won't he hurt me?” The question makes Crosshair whine, nuzzling into Echo to hide his face, chewing vigorously on his hand.
Echo pulls Crosshair impossibly closer, letting out a sad sigh “We are just misunderstood, all because we look scary. But really, we are who we are on the inside. We are like you humans, some of us are good and some of us are bad. We are good. The only thing you humans got right about us was that we are forced to transform whenever there’s a full moon.”
Obi Wan is shocked to the core, looking at the scissors in his hand and then back at Crosshair, who's shaking. Obi Wan then throws the scissors across the floor away from him. Crosshair's ears flick back at the sound, making him peep out to see that Obi Wan is no longer armed. Crosshair still stays hidden though. Echo notices that Crosshair's hand is bleeding from where he's been biting on his hand, so Echo gently moves his hand away, shaking his head “No no, don't do that, please.” Crosshair reluctantly does so, the teeth marks are obvious, but they start to heal.
Obi Wan stares in shock and disbelief, but what Echo was saying seems to be true, since Crosshair has been a shaking and whimpering mess in Echo's arms for the past minute. Obi Wan takes in a deep, quick breath “Echo...You were saying we a lot, so you’re a werewolf too?” Obi Wan asks. Echo nods, looking nervously at him. Obi Wan sighs shakily. “Now it makes sense why you always left early on full moon nights, sorry for that werewolf joke a few weeks ago.” Obi Wan apologizes softly, feeling a bit bad.
“I've known you for three long years now and I've never even known that you were a werewolf. It's strange to think about that really.” Obi Wan runs a hand through his hair, seeing how Echo looks at him with a nervous look and stays quiet. Obi Wan is full of guilt “I'm not going to hurt you. After all, you said that you are you, right? So why would I want to hurt my friends?” Echo looks at Crosshair with a small smile “True.” Echo says, Crosshair looking at Obi Wan a little more, not as afraid now.
Obi Wan then looks towards Crosshair, grimacing a bit. “I’m so sorry for threatening you, do you need some bandages for your hand?” Obi Wan asks softly, and Crosshair nods. “Y-Yeah, please. I’m sorry for transforming in your office, I’m only nineteen, and still have a hard time controlling my emotions. Sorry again.” Obi Wan smiles. “It’s alright.”
He walks over to the first aid kit, grabbing a few bandages. He walks back over, eyeing Echo. “Do you mind if I do it? Echo may have a troubling time.” Crosshair nods, and Obi Wan gets to work, gently grabbing Crosshair’s hand after he sits beside him, wrapping it up. “Hmm, soft.” He hums, making Echo chuckle.
“You’re taking this better than I thought.” Obi Wan smiles. “I can understand that, I’m still sorry for threatening your brother--” “It’s alright, you walked into your office to see a giant wolf. That would scare me too.” Crosshair tells him grumpily, making Obi Wan smile.
“I see why I’ve never met your brothers, Echo. And why you five are so reclusive.” Echo nods. “Yeah, I wanted you to meet them. But we just don’t talk to people much, and we kind of get nervous around humans.” Obi Wan nods in understanding.
“I understand, I’m sure you’ve almost been hurt by us before.” Echo frowns, looking at the ground. “Echo… humans did that to his legs and arm. The story he told you about the car accident was a lie.”Crosshair tells him, making Obi Wan’s eyes widen.
“We… A human did that! That is the most disgusting, absurd thing I’ve ever heard!! When was this!!” Obi Wan asks, making Echo sigh. “I was sixteen, they also poisoned me and killed my mother. The only reason I survived was because my now brother’s found me and saved me.” Obi Wan feels like he wants to be sick, Crosshair raises an eyebrow. “I thought all humans hate us, you’re different though. I like you.” Crosshair grumbles, making Echo’s eyes widen. “Woah, Crosshair never likes humans. You made a good impression on him.”
Obi Wan smiles, but then Echo chuckles nervously. “Um, mind driving us home? I can’t drive and Crosshair… he needs to hide in the back.” Obi Wan nods. “Of course I can, I’m sure your brothers are worried.” Echo’s eyes widen, as he checks his phone and flinches. “Yeah, ten missed calls from Hunter. We better get going.” Obi Wan nods, watching Echo grab Crosshair’s shirts. Obi Wan peeks out the door.
“The coast is clear.” He calls, as Echo and Crosshair peek out. They then run to the truck, quickly hiding Crosshair under the tarp. Obi Wan locks up the store, then hops in the front seat, finding the keys still in the ignition from Crosshair’s hasty jump out earlier. He waits for Echo to jump in, then he turns the car on and starts driving away, as Echo directs him to their home.

Obi Wan sees the cabin, humming a bit. “Looks like a nice place to live.” He tells Echo as they pull up, then three men run out, one with goggles holding something bundled in a blanket. But when the man looks at him, he turns and walks quickly back into the cabin, closing the door behind him. The two other men stay standing, wide-eyed and standing nervously.
The truck pulls up, Wrecker shifts about on his feet nervously while Hunter just stands with his arms crossed, feeling both confused and angry as to why a stranger is sitting in the driver's seat. The truck pulls up and stops on the driveway, the stranger and Echo both getting out and walking over. The stranger looks nervous, but Hunter doesn't let it cross his mind right now “Who is this hu-- stranger, and why was driving the Marauder and not Crosshair? Where is Crosshair, did he get lost again?” Hunter fake laughs, but it sounds genuine.
Get lost is something they say instead of saying transform. Hunter's eyes widen and shakes his head as he sees Crosshair walk up behind the stranger “Um, don't turn around.” Hunter says to the stranger, hiding the alarm in his voice the best he can, but instead of the stranger turning around, Crosshair walks right up behind him. The stranger looks at Crosshair with a smile, but Hunter takes it completely the wrong way.
“Crosshair, no!!!” Hunter growls. There's no time for reaction, because Hunter is lunging at the stranger in an instant, knocking him back and making him slide across the cold, muddy ground.
Obi Wan groans and rubs the back of his head, then the sound of cracking and screaming makes him look back towards the place where he saw the man run at him and push him away with inhuman strength. Obi Wan's eyes widen to see the man transforming into a werewolf. He then runs and pins him down, growling menacingly. “Were you holding Echo captive?!!! To lead you to us and kill us?!!”
He then pulls his clawed hand up, sharp claws tapping the one end of his throat, ready to slit it. Obi Wan whimpers, trying to crawl out of the hold to no avail, but then Crosshair pushes the werewolf off of him, pulling him up and hiding him behind him. “Hunter, stop!” Obi Wan freezes, hearing the name Echo’s spoken about, his oldest, younger brother. He’s also heard the name as one of their best lifeguards in the summer.
“What are you doing?!! He's a human!!!” The wolf, Hunter, yells, but Echo runs over. “He's my manager, Hunter.” Hunter freezes, but then growls “The shitty one?” He asks, and Obi Wan would chuckle if he could from behind Crosshair, but he’s too scared.
Echo shakes his head “No, the nice one. My friend who gives me the extra money. This is Obi Wan.” Echo moves to Crosshair, gently pulling Obi Wan out. Obi Wan shakes a bit, as he sees Hunter looking him over.
“Are you one of the bad werewolves?” Obi Wan asks, making Hunter’s ears press back. “Uh, no. No I’m not. I’m sorry, I was protecting my brothers, I didn’t mean to… well… I’m so sorry.” He says sheepishly, but Obi Wan starts to calm down, letting out a tiny chuckle. “Well, it’s very nice to meet you, Hunter. I’m sorry, your brother had gotten beaten up, but me and Crosshair helped him. Then he transformed and… You probably know the rest.” Hunter nods, frowning and looking at Echo. “We will speak about this later, once Obi Wan leaves.” He tells him, making Echo nod.
Hunter then turns back to Obi Wan. “Well, guess we owe you dinner and an explanation.” Hunter chuckles nervously, and Obi Wan smiles. “Yes, thank you.” Hunter smiles, then Echo looks at Wrecker. “Think you can run and pick up a pizza?” He asks, and Wrecker nods. He runs to the truck and starts it, driving off. Echo picks up his phone to order quickly. Crosshair has an excited look, as Hunter chuckles. “Wrecker should only be about twenty minutes, so let's head inside.”
Obi Wan nods, following Hunter, Crosshair and Echo into the cabin. They walk to the living room, seeing the man with goggles sitting on the couch, a bottle of milk in his hand. Obi Wan looks towards the bundle of blankets, which are pulled to the man's chest even closer, a nervous look in his eyes. Obi Wan smiles kindly “Do you guys have a baby?” He asks, Echo nods and smiles “Yes, her name's Omega, she’s a baby werewolf. The man holding her is Tech.”
Tech still looks nervous, Echo notices “Don't worry, Tech. This is Obi Wan, the nice manager from work.” Obi Wan chuckles “Guess I'm known as the nice manager.” Tech laughs as well, nodding as he brings the bottle to Omega's mouth “Yes, we all despise the other one. It's nice to meet you, Obi Wan.”
Obi Wan smiles at the bundle of blankets, Echo noticing. “Would you like to meet her?” Obi Wan nods, then he walks over and round the back of the sofa, smiling down at the tiny, blonde werewolf in Tech's arms “She's a cutie.” Obi Wan coos, but Omega, who's still feeding, whines a little at the sight of the stranger. Tech rocks her gently “Shh, it's alright, Darling.”
Omega calms down, then Obi Wan looks at Tech “How old is she?” Tech looks at him “She's just over two weeks now. She isn't any of ours though.” Obi Wan nods, but then he's confused about how they have a baby werewolf, but then clicks in his mind. “I see. I guess I was right then. That werewolf that ran through town two weeks ago was pregnant.”
They look at him in shock, Hunter piping up “You saw her?” Obi Wan nods “Yes, I heard all of the townsfolk saying about how she was fat, but that was not what a fat wolf looked like. That fluid, she was ready to give birth then?”
They all have surprised looks, surprised with how much he knows “Yeah, she was-- how do you know so much?” Obi Wan didn't even realise that he was showing off his veterinary skills. “I have a degree in veterinary, but I have never been able to find a job around here to be a vet. I was going to run my own business, but I've noticed that no one really owns pets around here. Sorry, I'm probably boring you all, so where is she? The mother, I mean. Could I meet her?”
They all frown, looking at each other. “She didn’t make it, she bled out.” Tech tells him, making Obi Wan growl. “She went into early labor because of the townspeople chasing her, right? Those assholes.” He growls, making them all like Obi Wan even more. “Yeah, we didn’t even know Omega was there until she whined, we almost left the poor thing to freeze.” Echo explains, making Obi Wan frown. “Well, it’s good you found her.”
“Who wants Pizza!!!” Wrecker yells as he walks in, making Obi Wan chuckle a bit as he walks over. Obi Wan, Echo, Tech and Wrecker all sit on the couch to eat, as the werewolves, Hunter and Crosshair, sit on the floor. Echo runs and grabs them some plates, handing them out before sitting down. Then Wrecker starts handing out pizza.
“So, you’re the nice manager?” Wrecker asks, handing Obi Wan a slice of pizza and he chuckles, nodding. “Yes. Yes I am.” Wrecker gets a huge smile. “You’re the first human to know about us… who hasn’t tried to kill us, I mean. Any questions for this once in a lifetime experience.” Obi Wan nods. “Alright, maybe some true or false. Is it true that a silver bullet will kill you?” He asks, and Echo chuckles. “Pretty much we’re like humans in that aspect, except we heal faster.” Hunter explains.
“Who wouldn’t a silver bullet kill if it hits the right spot?” Tech questions, making Obi Wan nod. “Understandable. Do you guys act wolf-like? Like howling at the moon, or licking as a form of affection?” Echo smiles. “That’s true, we do act more wolf-like, but still human.”
Obi Wan hums “I see. Do other mythical creatures exist?” he asks, taking a bite of his pizza “We only know the existence of vampires, but we aren't very sure of others, such as witches, dragons, fairies, merpeople and a wider range of creatures.” Tech explains as he burps Omega, since she has finished her bottle.
“Interesting, so do vampires sparkle when they go into the sunlight?” Everyone grumbles, Crosshair facepalming “Did you get that idea from Twilight?” Obi Wan looks at him curiously “Yes, why?”
“Those films are so dumb. Everything about them is wrong. Vampires burn when they go into the light, and it's very very painful.” Echo explains, grimacing at the memory of when a vampire attacked them, how it's whole body burned until it was nothing but a pile of bones. “Ah, not very pleasant then.” Obi Wan laughs a little nervously.
Echo nods, then Obi Wan looks to the other werewolves. “You also look very different from movies, much fluffier.” Hunter chuckles. “Yeah, we are pretty fluffy. The ones on tv always have something that looks off about them, they just can’t get us right.” Obi Wan chuckles too. “I honestly like you guys better, now another question, if you bit me would I become a werewolf too?” Echo laughs and shakes his head. “No, for werewolves you need a specific gene. Actually, two humans could have a werewolf child, if they had the right genes, of course.”
Obi Wan hums. “That’s good, so are full moons real too? Since you always seem to rush out during those, Echo?” They all nod. “That’s the only thing you humans seemed to get right about us.” Crosshair grumbles, making Obi Wan smile at him. “That’s very interesting, I’m glad I know about you guys now, I can help Echo get out of the store earlier during full moons.”
Echo’s eyes widen. “You don't have to do that, Obi Wan.” Obi Wan smiles. “It’s alright, I don't mind. You are my friend.” Echo smiles, and then Hunter chuckles. “Yeah, I have to add. So sorry for never meeting you, we just… we get nervous around humans.”
Obi Wan nods at them, smiling kindly “That's completely understandable, us humans don't exactly trust each other either.” He takes a bite of pizza as Hunter agrees with him “That's true, we've heard of the wars between them, how they use guns and explosives to fight and kill. But I guess that all werewolves need is a sharp set of teeth and claws.”
Obi Wan nods, swallowing his mouthful of pizza as he looks at Hunter's claws “Yes, and I guess that they are much more efficient, seeming that you have them at hand. Quite literally at that.” Everyone laughs and continues to eat. “Thank you for trusting me. I know it must've been difficult since I am human.” Obi Wan looks at them all, Tech hums and pipes up “You're welcome. After all, you have helped Echo a lot and we are forever grateful for that.”
Obi Wan smiles, feeling overjoyed that his efforts to help out his friend have definitely paid off. A few minutes later, everyone finishes their pizza and Wrecker collects the boxes and takes them out to the garbage. They all sit around, then Obi Wan hums. “You know, I actually met a werewolf once before.” They all perk up. “Did you?” Echo asks, and Obi Wan nods. “Yeah, it was… my parents were driving me home from the library, and they almost hit it.. no, him. They almost hit him.”
They all frown, and Hunter looks at Obi Wan. “Did you get in an accident?” Obi Wan nods. “Yeah, I remember that my parents… they died, but I was pulled out of the car by the werewolf, then I passed out. When I woke up, the werewolf was gone, and a boy was there. He was the same age and told me that the werewolf had run away right after I passed out. I remember he… he kept me with him for a month and we became… friends. Then I woke up in an orphanage, and my brain must have blocked it out.” Hunter and Everyone looks at each other, this story is familiar, too familiar.
“Well, the brain does funny things when something traumatic happens. It must not have been able to separate the memories so it just blocked everything.” Tech comes to a conclusion, making Obi Wan nod.
He then looks at the time. “Crap, it’s late! I better be heading home.” Wrecker jumps up. “I can drive you home?” Obi Wan shakes his head. “No no, my home isn’t far, so I’ll walk. I’ll see you tomorrow Echo, and hopefully I can visit soon.” Echo nods as Obi Wan walks out the door.
Then he looks to the others. “Did that story sound familiar to you?” Echo asks, his face a little scrunched up in thought. They all nod “Yes, it did.” Crosshair pipes up, the Hunter adds in “It sounded a lot like Cody's story he told us of a human boy he saved.”
“Wait wait wait, that was him? The boy Cody told us about?” Wrecker asks, looking out of the window, watching as Obi Wan rounds the corner and disappears into the night. Tech hums “We should tell Cody.” Everyone looks at each other, then they nod. “Okay, I'll call him in the morning to see if he can come round in the afternoon, once Echo is back from work.” Hunter voices the plan for tomorrow, everyone else nodding in agreement.
“Okay, well I need to get some rest for tomorrow at work, so I'll see you guys in the morning.” Echo gets up, his legs a little shaky. He's overworked himself again, but he refuses to “be weak”. He makes his way up the stairs, Omega coos and then burps when she finishes her bottle. Tech smiles down at her and puts the empty bottle down, bringing her up into a sitting position against his chest, patting her back to burp her. She burps another time before she nuzzles into Tech's shoulder, yawning and feeling sleepy. “Aw, let's get you to bed now, Darling.” Tech runs a hand over her back, earning a sleepy coo from Omega in response.
Tech goes upstairs too, leaving Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair. “I want a cuddle pile tonight with you guys.” Wrecker admits, walking over and snuggling into his brothers as they lie down. Hunter nuzzles his head “Of course, Vod'ika. Sleep well. You too, Crossy.” Crosshair gives a sleepy huff in response, making Hunter smile. They all drift off to sleep.
xxx
Soon enough, it's already the afternoon next day. Echo's shift is almost over, so Wrecker has gone to pick up today and Cody will be on his way to them. Hunter called him this morning, telling him that they needed to talk in person about something important. Hunter paces around the living room, Omega in his arms.
“Shh, it’s alright.” She’s crying, and he had no idea why. It seems to be just one of those times when babies cry, and it’s impossible to calm them. Hunter is in his human form at the moment, holding the pup close to his chest. “Shh, honey, what’s the matter?” He asks rhetorically, as the pup continues to wail. He starts singing softly to her, but even that doesn’t work.
“Come on, Sweetheart. It’s alright, I’m right here. And everyone else will back in a bit. Please stop crying.” He runs a hand through the fur on her head, and she nuzzles up into it. Hunter sighs softly, but then––“ when did you guys get a baby!!?” Hunter startles as he turns to see Cody standing in the doorway to the living room.
“Hey, Cody. Um, yeah. Sorry for not telling you, these past couple of weeks have been hectic. This is Omega.” Hunter starts to explain briefly, Omega crying and nuzzling into Hunter’s chest to hide her face. Cody walks into the room and stands next to Hunter. “Aww, she’s a real cutie,” He coos, frowning when she keeps wailing, then he looks at Hunter. “She one of yours’?”
Hunter shakes his head. “No, can we talk about this when the others get here? Wrecker has gone to pick Echo up from work, Crosshair is hunting and Tech is probably in the shed.” Cody nods, showing a kind smile to Omega when she peeps her face out to look at him, only to hide back into Hunter’s chest. “Of course. Is she alright?”
Hunter shakes his head “I’m not sure, she’s been crying for a while now. I’ve tried everything to calm her down. Feeding her, checking her diaper, Tech checked her temperature to see if she was sick or not. She isn’t, which is good. Oh, I even sang to her as well, but...yeah.” He explains, rubbing Omega’s back soothingly as she cries.
Cody is surprised “Even your singing didn’t help? Aw, she must really be upset.” He coos, reaching out and rubbing the top of her head. Omega flinches, but then she nuzzles shyly into his hand, realising that what the strange man is doing isn’t hurting her, but instead it feels nice and comforting.
“Have you tried rocking her?” Cody asks, making Hunter shake his head and begins to, but his movements are a bit too slow and he wobbles a bit. Cody places a hand on his shoulder. “Would you like me to hold her? You look exhausted, Hunter.” Cody offers, Hunter looking down at Omega then back up “Please, if you don’t mind.” He presses a soft kiss to the top of her head before handing her over to Cody.
Cody takes her gently into his arms, her wailing persists, making him frown and coo “Aww, shh. There there, lil’un, it’s alright.” He rocks her gently, swaying side to side and dancing around the room a little.
It takes a good ten minutes of the little dance, but she eventually stops crying, making Cody and Hunter both smile at each. “I’d also recommend getting her some toys, they might help her when she’s sad like this.” Hunter nods from his spot on the couch. “Yeah, we just… we haven’t had the time, but we’ll pick some up soon. Where did you learn that dancing trick?” He asks, making Cody smile.
“I’ve had lots of brothers, some by birth and some adopted. I know my way around young werewolves, I’ll give you guys all the info about baby werewolves later, I promise.” Hunter nods, smiling as Cody comes and sits down beside him, but Omega starts wailing again. It makes him chuckle and stand back up, starting the dance again.
“WE’RE HOME!!!” Wrecker yells as Hunter sits up to see Wrecker, Obi Wan and Echo. Then he sees Crosshair walking in as well, “The deer is in the backyard.” He says simply, making Hunter nod. “Go get Tech, then we can explain to these two why they are here.” Cody gives a curious look as Hunter gestures to him and the ginger haired man. Why does he look so familiar?
Tech then runs in, and Echo leads Obi Wan to the couch. “Alright, everyone but Cody sit down, since Cody is keeping Omega from crying.” They all nod, and sit down, Obi Wan giving a confused look.
“So this human knows about us?” Cody asks, and they all nod. “Cody, please tell us the story about that human boy you met?” Hunter asks, Cody looks at him and nods. “Well, it was about sixteen years ago when I was running through the woods, chasing after a fox. What I didn’t realise was that it was heading straight for a road. I ran out, not thinking about the cars that could be there, and that’s when I saw headlights coming straight for me.” Cody flinches at the memory, making them all frown.
“I thought that was it for me, but then the car swerved in a split second, avoiding me but hitting a tree instead. The car horn was constantly going, so I ran to the front of it and saw that the man driving was lying with his face turned towards me, his eyes open and lifeless. I opened the door and pushed his head off of the wheel to stop the horn. He was completely still and the woman had a tree branch piercing her chest.” Cody sees the man sat next to Echo looking at him with a shocked and confused look.
Cody carries on though “That’s when I heard crying, so I looked into the back and saw a boy my age just sat there and staring at the woman. I was sure that it could have been his mother. That’s when I pulled him out and tried to calm him down, since he was kicking and screaming, trying to get back to the car, then he passed out.”
Obi Wan is completely frozen, mouth agape. “I then transformed back to human and brought him to a cave. When he woke up I lied and told him the werewolf left, I kept him with me for a whole month and fell in love with him, but then…” Cody pauses, looking at the ginger haired man whose mouth is agape. “I had to return him to the humans, so when he was sleeping I took him to an orphanage and left him there.”
Obi Wan tears up, and when he and Cody lock eyes, he can’t take it anymore and runs out of the house.
“What?” Cody asks, and Hunter sighs. “He’s the boy from the story, Cody... the one you saved.” Cody stands there for a moment, frozen in place and unbelieving, then his eyes widen. “Wait...he...that was-- no, how’s that--” Cody doesn’t know what to think right now, struggling to believe that the man who just ran out of the cabin is the boy he saved.
Echo then pipes up, explaining a little more to Cody “He moved here a little over three years ago and became my other manager at the Blockbuster store I work at.”
Cody can’t believe this. He thought Obi Wan had still been living in the town he dropped him off in, closest to where the accident happened. “I-I...I need to go and talk to him. Can...oh god.” Cody holds his head, everything feeling too much right now. “Can someone take Omega please?” Cody asks frantically, needing to go and run after the man who is apparently Obi Wan.
Once Wrecker takes Omega off of him, he runs out of the cabin and into the snow. It would have been pitch black if not for the half moon and stars. He sniffs out the scent, noticing that he has run into the woods directly ahead of him. Cody goes running, following the scent for about a minute before he sees the man’s form just there in front of him, kneeling on the ground.
Cody slowly walks closer, moving to stand in front of-- “Obi Wan?” Cody asks, kneeling down in front of him.
Obi Wan growls. “You left me!! Why!!? I thought--” He chokes back a sob as tears flow freely down his face, breaking Cody’s heart. “I thought you loved me…”
The heartbreak, the anger. This cannot be faked, this is Obi Wan, this is the young boy, now man, Cody had fallen for all those years ago. The one Cody has loved every day since, the one he had wanted to be his mate. “Obi Wan…” he whines, then he loses control, kneeling down on the ground and ripping his jacket and shirt off, making Obi Wan's eyes widen.
“What--” a large crack interrupts him, making Obi Wan gasp as Cody starts to grow larger, and he watches him go through the transformation, fur growing all over Cody's Body. His ears grow pointy and move to the top of his head, as his mouth elongates and a large, fluffy tail grows from his backside. He now has clawed hands and feet as well.
Cody looks at him, fully transformed. There are tears in his eyes, as he lets out sob after sob and curls up on the ground. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” He chants and whines, hiding his face in his hands. He can’t believe this. This is the boy he had left at an orphanage all those years ago.
Obi Wan sniffles, partially from the freezing cold and from his sobbing that has ceased. This is Cody, the one who saved him and fell in love with him. The one he had shared his first kiss with. He was the werewolf that saved him, he is the werewolf he just yelled at for abandoning him and now he is broken down and a sobbing mess on the floor.
Too lost in thought, Obi Wan has subconsciously been moving closer to Cody, wanting nothing but to comfort him right now. “Cody...I’m...I’m sorry. Don’t apologise, you haven’t done anything wrong--” “I left you! I’m such an idiot, I just thought that you would be safer there. But instead I made you think that I abandoned you!” Cody sobs out, his claws jabbing into his head, almost piercing the skin, making Obi Wan frown. “Stop, Cody, you’re going to hurt yourself.”
Cody shrugs “I deserve it. I was scared that you wouldn’t be safe, I...I wanted to do the right thing for you.” Obi Wan shakes his head “No, no! You don’t deserve this, Cody, not in the slightest. I shouldn't have just assumed, or even said, that you abandoned me. That was wrong of me, I see that now. I still love you, Cody. I love you so fucking much and I don’t want to let you go, or let me go, ever again. You saved me, and that’s something I want to repay you for, I want to do that by spending the rest of our lives together.”
Obi Wan cries again, leaning down and placing his forehead against the backs of Cody’s hands. He then gently holds one of them, sitting up and trying to pull one away. “Please, Cody. don’t hurt yourself.” Obi Wan begs, making Cody finally relax his hands and letting Obi Wan gently pull it away.
Obi Wan gently laces their fingers together, Cody’s hand dwarfing his own by a lot. Cody’s wide eyes look at Obi Wan with so much uncertainty, and fear. But Obi Wan just leans over and gently kisses Cody’s forehead.
“I… I love you too, Obi Wan. More than anything else in this life.” Cody sits up and pulls Obi Wan into his lap, making the ginger man smile and nuzzle into the fur. “You should have told me, I… I think you look very handsome like this, Love.” Cody smiles softly, nuzzling against the top of Obi Wan's head.
Cody’s tail wags at the compliment, blushing under his fur. Obi Wan smiles and chuckles “You like that? Me calling you handsome?” Cody nods and licks the top of Obi Wan’s head. Obi Wan then looks up at him with a slightly confused look, but not a disgusted one. “It’s my way of showing affection, so it’s like a kiss but just in a wolf way.” Cody explains shyly, but Obi Wan nuzzles his fur “Then you can do it as many times as you like, because I love it. I love you, Cody.”
Cody hugs Obi Wan close, licking his hair and wrapping his arms securely around his long lost lover, keeping him safe from the pesky frostbite that threatens to make him cold. Cody then smiles and really just wants to let out how he feels “Obi Wan, I...get if what I’m about to say is uncomfortable, so I totally understand if you’re weirded out or--” “Love, it’s okay. You can tell me your deepest, darkest secret and I would never stop loving you. Okay?” Obi Wan assures him, making Cody wag his tail again. “Thank you. Well, when we were kids, I wanted you to be my mate, but...I wasn’t sure back then if you would still love me if you knew what I was, but now…” Cody trails off, feeling embarrassed.
Obi Wan catches on, feeling surprised that Cody wants him to be his mate “You know now that I still love you, and...you want me to be your mate?” The question is a shot in the dark, but Cody nods, happy that Obi Wan understood, so he nods. Obi Wan cups Cody’s face “Then I’ll be your mate.”
Cody lets out a rumble of content from deep within his chest, basking in the presence of his long, lost lover. Obi Wan buries himself into Cody’s fur, enjoying the comforting warmth. His sniffles die down as he warms up, since Cody is keeping the cold from nipping at his skin, but he still lets out a sneeze. Cody smiles softly, pulling Obi Wan impossibly closer. “Want to go back now? I’m sure the others would have the fireplace going by now, so we’ll go and get cozy. I’ll make you a hot cup of cocoa too if you want?”
Obi Wan hums with content “That sounds wonderful.” He kisses the side of Cody’s snout, his eyes fluttering closed as he snuggles into Cody. He yelps in surprise when Cody repositions him so he’s carried bridal style. Cody gives him a small smile as he picks up his jacket and shirt before carrying Obi Wan back to the cabin.
It takes them a few minutes, but they arrive back. Cody was right, the fire in the lounge is crackling away, emitting a warm glow. Cody walks up the few steps and places Obi Wan down. “I’ll transform out here so I don’t scare the pup.” The pup--? Oh he means Omega. “Okay, no worries at all. I’ll see you in there.” He reaches up to cup Cody’s face for a moment before heading inside.
He’s met with warm, comforting smiles. “Hey, Obi Wan.” They’re speaking quieter than usual. Omega has fallen asleep next to Hunter on the couch, making small cooing sounds as she sleeps peacefully. He walks over and takes a seat on the smaller, empty couch. He takes a small, deep breath and smiles.
“Everything okay now? You seem happier.” Tech observes, Obi Wan nods “Yes, we talked for a little bit, mainly just making up. We’re fine now. Cody had transformed, so he’s just transforming back.”

hello! could you do 7, 10, and 11 from your 100 followers ask game??
Thank you for the ask!
7. Who is your favourite side character
It would have to be Phee, I love how she was introduced and then developed and I am so mad about how she was shunned in the end. I'm also a massive Tech/Phee shipper so how could I not.
A close second would be Cid, yes I know she's a bitch and I hate her guts. However I think she was an interesting plot device for the Batch because without her a lot of the major plot points would have never occured.
10. What is my favourite Hunter head canon?
I have the head canon that Hunter always sorta filled the Dad role for his brothers. Doesn't matter they are the same age and on a DNA level are the same person he just felt that he filled that role and he did whatever he could for his brothers. The Batcher were really close but it's Hunter that keeps them together. I like to think he cared for them really deeply (more than the Regs do eachother) he fought for them when the Reg bullied them (another hc) he hugged them when he knew they were struggling. He just genuinely put all the effort into looking after his brothers. Which is why he stepped into the fatherly role for Omega so easily.
11. What is my favourite Crosshair head canon?
I think Crosshair has a tick of sometimes or an anxiety stim. Think about his toothpicks. What the fuck is the point of just giving a random character for no reasons toothpicks?! It does make sense. So I think he has some sort of anxiety disorder (how could you not. I mean cmon) And ever since he was little he used to bite his nail when he nervous. The Kaminoans didn't like that he did that but he couldn't break the habit so he began collecting tooth picks from the mess hall to crew on instead.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ASK!!!! I had lots of fun writing these!
If you want to use or even send me an ask from this game then please do

Alright buckle up here's my actual genuine reaction....
First episode:
First of all, I regret asking for more Hemlock, this was fantastically awful, I will not be recovering.
Second of all, that shaved clone has done things to me. Horrible, horrid things that made me actually pause it and look away. It made me physically ill, it was the worst. Great, but the worst.
The passage of time really did fucking get to me BUT HER LITTLE PONYTAIL UGH
crosshair..... I need a moment
EMERIE !!!! CANT STAND HER !!!!!!!!!!! SNITCH ASS BITCH
I literally don't care that she was allowed to keep the doll, btw. I dont give a shit. I hope Emerie dies in a fire.
nala se.... ew............
I think the whole episode was just pure horror, it was so fucking disgusting to watch, idk about you guys but watching the clone who had probably faced the true horror of SCI-FI warfare crying alone in his cell genuinely had me pausing the episode. Really great work there, Jennifer, I will be billing you for my therapy
Crosshair and Omega bonding !!! The little "What's your mission objective" was definitely a tactic he used on his brothers to have them pay attention, I refuse to acknowledge that he's the youngest, he just isn't. That's big brother keeping his little brother(s) on task behaviour.
Everything about Hemlock gave me chills. I love him. I hate him. I hope his guts cover the screen. I am fascinated by him.
I had a sneaking suspicion Emerie was taken under Hemlock's wing, and her undoing will be her endless loyalty to him... they did not have to say it as obviously as that, though. Glad they did.
Crosshair is sick. There is no way you show us all these sick, dying clones then Crosshair and expect us not to figure that out. He's going to die. His shaking is just the first symptom. I am not ready.
I definitely have more smaller notes I will make once I am not sobbing hysterically about it !!!!
Episode two!!:
This is the one that made me cry, actually.
Watching Wrecker and Hunter march in, quiet and covered in countless injuries, made me so sad. I couldnt recognise them. Those aren't my lads.
Wrecker begging hunter not to go because people didn't make it back.... hunter I get you're desperate, but you will NOT survive another brother being killed. I can't bear to watch him tear himself apart and neither can Wrecker.
WEEPED LIKE AN ACTUAL BABY WHEN I SAW THOSE CLONE BABIES.... THEYRE TOO YOUNG.
"99ers???" THERES FUCKING MORE ??????? I want to know the lore behind this line particularly.
Theyre so cute..... they're so CUTE ugh sedate me immediately
THE WAY HUNTER WAS LOST AT THE START BTW WITH THE TECH AND HE WAS GETTING FRUSTRATED AND HE IMMEDIATELY LOOKED TO OMEGAS STUFF AND LET HIS GRIP LOOSEN ON THE DATAPAD HE WSS THINKING OF HIS YOUNGEST TWO SIBLINGS I WILL NEVER FUCKING RECOVER DAVID AND JENNIFER LET THEM BE HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyways that little fucker who was good with tech..... I see you. I love you.
They were so used to letting Tech do his thing.... they immediately moved to cover fire....... for a second they forgot it wasnt him, I'm weak
THE CRATE FROM S1 YOU HORRIBLE BASTARDS WHEN WILL YOU LET ME DIE
wrecker playing with the kids..... laughing with them....... ohh i will not cope when he dies.
Hes going to die, btw. In case you didn't know. I know. I am aware. I am unprepared. I dont want to discuss it.
PABU..... THEYRE GOING TO PABU WHEN I TELL YOU I SOBBED. MY MOTHER HAD TO HOLD ME. I WAS INCONSOLABLE FOR FIFTEEN WHOLE MINUTES!!!!!!
i cannot express my feelings for this episode.
Episode three!!!!!!:
I want that man. Yes, i do mean that masked man we saw for two seconds, I want him.
The Emperor had me actually screaming. I was so hyped. He scares me so bad.
Hemlock!!!!!! Evil !!!!!!!! CUNT !!!!!!!!!!!!
nala se was so obvious about her "Get tf out" speech..... why don't you say it louder, the whole fucking room couldn't hear you
The fucking timer. Chills. CHILLS.
Crosshair and Omega !!!! He was so unserious I love that
....sorry to all the lovers tho, have to say i DIED laughing at his "gUaRdS"
And the SCREAM he scrumpt when the door opened, who allowed that 😭😭 it was so fucking funny whbeisbwiba
They were so messy this entire ep, they're everything to me......
"Of course he did" DO YOU WANT ME TO FUCKING DIE ?!?!?!? WHO FUCKING GAVE YOU THE RIGHT CAUSE IT WASNT FUCKING ME
Crosshairs trigger finger shaking so bad he gave his position away....... that's a major fucking problem, isn't it? That's gonna bite him in the ass.
I want more of Hemlock having a damn tantrum, that was fantastic. Him this season has me in a chokehold. I can't wait to write more of him.
This entire season so far is amazing. I can't wait to watch more, there are so many more points I wanna make, I'm freaked. I'm so happy, I'm still crying, I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Making more coherent thoughts about them soon <3

my thoughts on the TBB season 2 finale
I’ve been more than open about my feelings at this point. I enjoyed the majority of The Summit actually, it’s just Plan 99 that I wish I could erase from my memory forever LOL
you know what, I’ll just go ahead and name everything I did like about these episodes, since I’ve done plenty of complaining already 😝
like I said, I did genuinely like The Summit as an episode. there were a lot of really great moments up until everything started to go wrong (thanks Saw Gerrera, I hate your guts 🙃)
the beginning part on Pabu with Phee. oh. my. GOSH. that was the cutest thing ever. Tech/Phee is officially up there with Kanera and Han/Leia as one of my favorite SW ships 🥰 awkward Tech was SO cute. and relatable 😝
Tech being so adamant about rescuing Crosshair, oh my heart, he misses his brother SO much 😭💙
I have to continue to talk about how freaking happy I am that Echo is back. idk how often he’ll be around in the next season, but I hope the group permanently stays together now. I missed him SO much 🥺
Wrecker was SO funny and sweet in this episode. the part where they’re like “we need to be precise” and they ALL turned to look at Wrecker, OMG that was literally the funniest thing to ever happen in the entire show 🤣👌🏻
Tech Spiderman swinging up to that sensor tower was 👀
Team Sneaky going off to do sneaky things, while Team Chaos handled the homing beacon, LOVE to see it. I was so proud of my baby girl for getting through the hanger, with Wrecker watching her back the entire time 🥰
😳😳😳
seriously why was this episode just one big Rogue One reference LOL
when Tech and Hunter went off, and Tech was like “it could take forever to locate the problem”, and Hunter almost immediately finds the hidden bomb, I love my man so much 😙
that part when Team Sneaky was fighting off Stormtroopers and Hunter used one of the bodies as a human shield, babe please I’m already simping 🥵
as much as I hate droid deaths, Wrecker stepping on the mouse droid and it getting stuck on his foot was so silly 😆
and now for what I enjoyed in the accursed Plan 99...
gonna start off with an obvious one... Hunter sniper shooting down that ship with his little DC-17 blaster in one shot. sir. SIR. IM ALREADY STUPIDLY IN LOVE WITH YOU PLEEEEEASE 😍😍😍🥵🥵🥵
as horrible as it was, from an artistic perspective, Tech’s “death” was an absolute masterpiece. since I already knew that was going to happen and had even watched that moment in a clip on Twitter with the sound off, what really did me in was the music (darn you Kiners 😭💔) and Omega’s reaction. that’s what got me sobbing fr. I can appreciate something from an artistic perspective, even if I don’t like the subject matter 😞
the part where Omega was woozy after the crash mimicked the end of Reunion with Hunter after he’d gotten shot by Cad Bane, and I genuinely loved that 👌🏻
THE WHOLE SCENE WITH HUNTER COMFORTING OMEGA OMFG MY DADGUM HEART. him smiling when she woke up, the softness of his voice, brushing the hair out of her face, putting a hand on her shoulder and then wrapping his arm around her for comfort... and then to top it off, the way he gently brought up the idea of living on Pabu and asking her if that’s what she wanted to do too. I am WEEPING over this man 😭😭😭💙💙💙
as mad as I am at Cid, it was obvious she meant what she said about Tech. and she genuinely felt bad for what she did. I want her to come back in season 3 and do something to make up for doing that. she HAS to 🥺
as much as I hate Hemlock with every fiber of my being... “who knew Clones are so paternal?” WE BEEN KNEW MY DUDE. sorry, but I’m going to relish in every single confirmation that Hunter is Omega’s dad tyvm 😊
I’m terrible, I know, but I genuinely love to see Hunter in a state of despair, so him picking up Tech’s broken goggles with that sad look on his face was *chef’s kiss*
I was very proud of my girl for taking charge and trying to rescue her brothers. proud mama right here 🥺💙
also, again, I’m sorry, but the whump in this episode was very good. I might’ve enjoyed seeing injured Hunter and Wrecker in the hands of Imperials a little too much 😝
the absolute BEST scene in this episode (and one of the best scenes in the show period)? ECHO IN THE WALKER. OMFG. Ham and I SCREAMED. and to top it off? “Echo?” “Gotta be Echo.” THE BEST THE ABSOLUTE BEST THAT EPISODE WAS WORTH WATCHING JUST FOR THAT MOMENT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I once again state that I love seeing Hunter in despair and permanently have that look of pure horror he made while watching the Imperial ship fly away with Omega engrained in my mind forever, thanks 😌 and he had tears in his eyes I SAW IT. STOP SAYING HE DOESN’T CRY PLEASE 😤
last thing I’ll say about Hunter I swear lsdkfjghlgfkd. but uhh, that last part about him saying how they’re gonna find Omega no matter what it takes... my man’s about to enter his Joel Miller phase and go John Wick on the Empire and I HAVE BEEN WANTING THIS FOR SO LONG YES PLEASE GO FRICK THEM UP BABE 😍😍😍
the way Omega was genuinely happy to see Crosshair again... the way she desperately tried to wake him up... ohhhhh next season is going to break me in the best way possible 🥺🥺🥺
that’s everything I think! time to wait impatiently for season 3 now✨
......why tf did I have more positive things to say about Plan 99 than The Summit lolololol
#the bad batch#star wars the bad batch#tbb season 2#it's really amazing how opinions can change after some processing time; just sayin'#also these episodes were genuinely good whump content so I'm holding onto that ROFL#star warz#tbb spoilers

One More Day? [I vaguely know about this one, due to Linkara, and that it's contreversial]
Adapting the Archive
So when I originally wrote that post, I completely forgot that I did, in fact, have an idea for this one... to an extent. It's moreso adapting No Way Home, but considering it does take some elements from that story and its sequel "One Moment in Time," I think it counts.
To start, let's give a brief summary of One More Day-
So, Peter was on Iron Man's side during Civil War, and Tony had him reveal his identity to the public on live TV. But then he realized that Cap was right, and joined his side, making him a public fugitive.
A bunch of other stuff happens, his Aunt gets shot by a bullet that was meant for him, he goes around the world begging all his superhero friends, even some of his villains and a few heroes that hate his guts after Civil War, but none of them can save her. (which makes absolutely no sense considering one of those people is Dr Strange, but whatever)
So he's at his wits end, it all seems hopeless... until the literal Devil shows up and asks him to make a deal. Sell his marriage to him, and he'll make it so that not only would Aunt May live, but his identity would never be revealed. He takes the deal, and then everything reality is reset to a world where Peter and MJ never get married.
If that doesn't sound too bad to you, even though the deal as a whole is basically character assassination for him and MJ, trust me, I left a lot of the worst parts out.
There's a lot going on here, and I'm not touching most of it with a 10 foot pole, but there is one idea I think I can work with here.
Making a deal with the devil.
Yeah, I know I just criticized that, but hear me out-
In this case, the devil would be Yaldabaoth, who does survive the ending of the AU, and the deal wouldn't be to sell his marriage or anything like that, but rather to lend his body.
See, in my AU, Yaldabaoth and his loyal shadows are kinda trapped in the Metaverse, and the only way for them to escape is to get more people to awaken to their Personas from the serum that gives Aaron and his teammates their powers. Doing so creates a link between the two realities, and the more Persona users there are, the stronger the link, and the bigger and badder things that can slip through.
And throughout the storyline, Yaldy is constantly trying to awaken enough people so that he can come over and fuse the two worlds like he does in canon, but while he makes some progress, he never gets enough.
But there is a way he could expedite the process; Possession.
In this AU, shadows and other Metaversal entities can possess people through their dreams, but the connection is broken if they're ever awakened. But another way is if the person is possessed willingly. And because Aaron has such a strong connection to the Metaverse, if Yaldy possessed him, he'd have a much easier time achieving his goals.
So why would Aaron agree to this? Simple. His identity is revealed.
Obviously that would be bad enough, putting all of his friends and loved ones in the crosshairs of all of his enemies, but because his team is so closely tied together, once his identity got out, it wouldn't be long before all of theirs got figured out too.
But he's not an idiot, he wouldn't just agree to this off the bat. He'd be sure to set some rules, as well as give himself a bit of time to actually enjoy having his secret back. What those rules are? Well, I kinda already talked about this idea in this post here-
Last thing I'll say is the aftermath of it, where the team is able to take him down and get Aaron his body back, is something that's a bit of a spoiler for No Way Home, so I'll just put that tidbit right under here.
The idea is that there would be a cost. Nobody makes a deal with the devil, and gets off scot free. So, I think that once Yaldabaoth is defeated, he would use his power one last time, to make everyone forget that Aaron Amamiya even exists.
Yes, I stole this idea straight from NWH, but its so good that I just have to!
Now, I do think that his teammates would be able to remember him eventually, given that they were able to do something similar in the Third Semester. But everyone else would have a much harder time pushing through it. In fact, I'm tempted to say that no one else would be able to remember him... ever. That he'd basically have to start from scratch.
But that does seem a bit cruel, especially when it comes to Sojiro and his Aunt, so maybe not.
Even still, the idea of him having to lose everyone he cares about like that just- MAN, there's so much potential there.
