TGS MEDIEVAL AU :0
Is this Historically accurate? no. Does that matter? no.
Alright, This is gonna be a lot, so thou shalt be warned
In the Au, Robert is a prince and Lanyon Sr. is the King, they rule over a small kindom somewhere in England - name TBA (so not like real monarchies which rule over entire countries etc.) The premise is basically; The Lanyon's personal/private doctor recently passed away so they call in a new doctor/chemist from Scotland - did you guess? yep, It's Jekyll. Hyde exists before Henry/Edward meets Robert (I haven't worked out the exact logistics about it yet, but I will) Jekyll/Hyde are more Chemists/Alchemists than Doctors but they are both still very good doctors regardless (so they don't really wear the 'plague mask' thing) I aged only Jekyll, Hyde and Lanyon down to about their early 20's so it matches around the original timing of when J&H met Robert in TGS. There are other smaller reasons but they aren't to important, all you need to know is that it doesn't really change anything
Lanyon is betrothed to Everly from a neighbouring kingdom -this is where it differs slightly from TGS, it's a political marriage not a lavender marriage. Neither Robert nor Everly are happy about this however, they are both only children in royalty so they don't really have an option.
Hyde is essentially the local gremlin that has in-built eyebags and a sense to sell you things not very discreetly that he probably shouldn't be selling. His Cape is comedically large and has a very extensive collection of illegal powders, drugs, and other nefarious items. Almost everybody knows Hyde becasue at some point they have all needed some rare item from him. - this is where the blackfog comes in (yes it exists!) the Blackfog is basically the same but Hyde really wants to go so he can buy/sell lots of items for his little side-business he has going on, however Lanyon Sr. is opposed to it and it's existence because well... illegal.
*Hyde also goes by: The Spirit of [insert Kingdom's name] at night (soooooo original, ik)
Jekyll stays pretty much the same, He really cares about his reputation so he can move up on the social ladder and create his own Science business at some point, and I mean he doesn't want to make a fool of himself in front of the King of all people, that wouldn't be a very good look, would it?
In this universe, The lodgers are all citizens of the small kingdom and they all sort of have different occupations/roles in the town. They can't all be scientists, but do not fear because they still as equally crazy and chaotic as before. Rachel is the Lanyon's personal chef but she also helps run the bakery in town with Mr. Doddle. Jasper looks after most of the animals and creatures in the kingdom, he used to be a farmer but moved to get away from home. I am yet to work out how Jekyll and Jaspers relationship dynamic stays the same in this universe but I will figure something out.
There is A LOT of Jekyon and Lanyde going on here, so I've got something for everyone, (there may or may not be a masquerade at some point...) and it's not just centred around romance, there is lots of other plot stuff happening so do not fear my ace/aro friends (or just people who aren't a fan of romance)!
That's most of it for now... I'll draw some more stuff at some point and give some extra details, If you have any questions please ask (my asks are open) I'd love to hear from you all!!! Don't be afraid to offer any suggestions or other criticisms. Maybe I'll write a fanfic one day who knows, we will see.
Thanks for listening to my rant (*^â˝^*)
*Footnote - I don't think you guys realise how hard it was to make hyde not look like either A.) a fucking elf or B.) Link. Did I succeed? not sure.

Ravenna!!! Can we get a HC about our Daddies being Daddy doms??
Alright, this got long, I could not help myself! I went with a mix of the guys who I thought would be most likely to dabble with daddy kink. As always my stuff is 18+! NSFW below the cut
Juice- Under that goofy grin and sweet smile is a man who would love you to call him Daddy while your stroking his praise kink. "Your so good Daddy", You're the best Daddy, You're so good at that" will guarantee you have the time of your life. Whispering these in his ear during a crowded club party will guarantee you being quickly escorted to a darkened corner for a lesson. He loves making you cock warm him too and he gets off on finally having some one to give orders to. "Bed", "Knees", "Open wide", "warm me up".
Chibs- The silver fox himself has to be eased into the idea. He was already worried about the age gap as it was and now you are calling him Daddy in public? The mischievous look in your eye and the way your breath hitches as he grabs you jaw telling you to hush in the crowded store though has his jeans getting uncomfortably tight. You were only teasing when you told him maybe you deserved a spanking. Five minutes later he had you over his lap in the dressing room your ass red and already starting to bruise as you apologized. "Sorry daddy for being naughty".
Happy- The Tacoma Killer is not one to play with. He is not amused with your teasing or being a brat. The skills he uses to get info and make people disappear for the club? Yeah he has no problem turning those around on you. He prefers to hear "Yes Sir" over "Yes Daddy". He also has you trained with that damn ever present toothpick. Is it on the left side or right side? Is he chewing it or just letting it sit still? All these have different meanings and tell you how far you have left to push his buttons. Happy pushes the limit and has you craving the danger so much that you just can't help but flirt a little with the prospects when your not getting his attention.
Angel- Pretty Boy Reyes is the king of over stimulation and making you beg for "daddy to stop". He loved the control. So much so that any toys you have go with him or under lock and key when he has to be gone for long times. Because he will be dammed if you cum on anything besides daddy's cock, mouth or fingers, or when he isn't present. You though aren't exactly the best at taking orders or listening so more often than not you end up restrained and with a vibrator on your clit for hours begging and crying for him to stop as he sits in another room watching tv and casually changing the pace on the vibrator. He will just tell you to that you have to learn your lesson.
Coco- He loves hearing you call him daddy. At first he was worried and wierded out by it when you guys were out and about. But the feeling of pride and confidence it built in him had him quickly forgetting how he first felt. The way you guys operate its less punishments and more equal than some of the other guys. When he's buried between your thighs which is his favorite place he loves how easily daddy falls from your lips. Your hands gripping his hair. He's not above bending you over his knee though if you let your mouth get a bit ahead of you though....which you sometimes do just to get him to take you to bed a bit faster.
Gilly- The giant teddy bear of the mayans has a Jekyll and Hyde personality with his daddy side. In public he is gentle with his demands/orders. In private? His military side comes out and it sends a thrill through you. "Present to me, present her, daddy's inspection time" are some of his favorite phrases. Your are more than happy to follow his orders because you know he will leave you with a "present" every time.

huh Why do you write Edward like THAT?
Honestly? There's something fun about writing a really villainous character. One who actually does awful things and makes all the good people around him question how much they are willing to look the other way if it serves their purpose. Edward serves not only as a villain but as a reflection of the evil otherwise good people will excuse out of "necessity" and I hope to pose the question. "At what point has necessity become convenience? At what point are you looking the other way because you've bonded with him?" I want Quincey and Watson in particular to start asking these questions of themselves and to feel tested by Edward's presence in their group. Edward does all of the things the rest of the crew won't. He is not burdened by their sense of ethics and while he does care for the people he loves he's not even above hurting them. He's cruel, selfish and he's self-aware enough to hate himself for being like this, especially when he's Jekyll. He also knows that he's being used because none of the others are willing to go the lengths he will to get answers or to defeat their enemies. Adam is on a redemption arc, Erik is tired of killing, Theo is terrified of giving in to becoming the monster she can feel consuming her more with each passing year. Larry will never forgive himself for what he's done as a werewolf. Selma has crossed several lines already and is re-evaluating her stance on monsters. But it's Watson and Quincey in particular. The ones who have never fallen from grace, that Edward has the most resentment for. He DESPISES them both because being good is easy for them. They don't have temptations or vices so they automatically condemn people that do, even while they consider themselves kind and generous. Meanwhile both of them are allowing Edward to do whatever he needs to cure Larry and Theo. They won't cross any lines themselves and Edward knows that they tolerate him because it means they can continue to view themselves as untainted. it's Edward doing the killing, the unethical experiments, breaking every law known to man and god. It's Edward who is evil. Not them... ...right? I also really wanted to write a foil to Watson, someone who is an unquestionably good person. Someone effortlessly kind and humble. Of all the members of the crew Edward hates Watson the most and a lot of that hate is envy. Watson represents everything Jekyll is meant to be, everything Jekyll was externally. An upstanding middle aged doctor with a good reputation and a flawless track record. Watson is the real deal through and through. Jekyll/Hyde hates him and wishes he could be him and then hates him twice over again for that envy. I enjoy the challenge of writing a character who is an objectively bad person while still making him feel human. Part of me wants to see how far I can push this without making him completely irredeemable.

I need more unhinged Richard quotes, like the whole â[coc*ine when youâre young vs when youâre old]â thing or I may simply pass away
Hi Hello đ¤
This ask has been sitting in my inbox for a while, but now I finally come around to compile some more quotes from Richard's interviews (here is 'Part 1' so to speak).
Off to another tiny little round of stuff Richard says (some are interesting, others a little weird or downright unhinged):
I think the quote you mean is this one [from this audio interview]: "It's like, you know, it's like you know when you were young and could do coke for a fucking month and nothing, y'know? When you get old you need to recover from fucking one week." (and the interviewer is seemingly quite lost: "haha..true..đ")
Now, on to the Fellfrosch gem [interview]: Interviewer: Perhaps the disgust at the bitter aftertaste is really just a problem of overly careless personal hygiene? Richard: Â "Tastes change too. Much of what seemed too bitter to us in childhood tastes good to us today. On the other hand, we usually find the sweets from the past too sweet. Every fur frog tastes different. Pure question of taste. There is no judgment in the text. Weâre not saying it stinks."
His readiness to try out his talents with on-screen eroticism some more [interview]: "After I shot some erotic scenes for a video the other day I could also imagine doing an entire film in that direction. I was quite nervous in the beginning, but the longer we were shooting the more fun I had. Erotic, mind you, not pornographic."
in the same interview, he discloses the two main activities which bring him relaxation: "I love lying in bed, smoking and watching good movies more than anything. That is the only thing where I can really switch of other than sex. Lots of both, please. [laughs]"
And another quote from said interview regarding in which time period he would've liked to live and about his affinity to the middle ages (which for me as a history geek is so lovely to see that he is into that period as well): "I guess the sword and blade time as I always call it. Knights templar, 11th century. I can answer that this well, because I like to watch even stupid movies when they deal with that period. I just have a huge affinity to it somehow and would love to find out how things were going back then."
The way he pressurized/threatened (?) Jonathan Davis to sing a high note for the song "Silent so long" (man Richard must be such a nice fellow to work with đ) [interview]: "But there was a high note in the chorus that Jonathan couldn't quite get right. So what to do? He said he couldn't sing that high. So I grabbed the receiver and whispered the following into his ear: "Watch out, Jonathan. This is the German way! Now take both your hands, grab your balls and squeeze until you get that damn sound."
Touring is hard, but partying is even harder [interview]: "Touring is not the problem, but partying is. If you went straight to the hotel after the show - no problem. But if you party until six in the morning, it's getting increasingly more difficult to get out of bed."
Being super vague in moments where we need more facts from him like in this interview, about the "Bßck dich" performance of Till and Flake: "If Till had to do it to me⌠I would probably you know, like⌠uhm.. I'll do⌠something."
this whole feverdream here: an interview for the promotion of the first Emigrate album back in 2007, where Richard and his alter Ego "Mister Emigrate" answer the questions 'together'. It's has a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde vibe to it but is kind of cute â¨
On a more serious note, here he talks about the effects of drugs on him: "I took a lot of cocaine. You reach dimensions that you could never reach otherwise. You can edit a bass drum for eight hours."
Thank you for your interest in even more stuff Richard says đ
#rammstein#richard kruspe#ask#boy i could go on and on#i haven't even started collecting stuff from the video interviews#he says so many interesting things most of the time and other times it's just. Oh the horrors#what is he saying again#but well never a dull moment with this gentleman here#interviews & quotes

Just finished reading Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (it's shorter than you think) only to come to the conclusion that all the tragedies involved could've been prevented via gay sex.
To completely shelve the fictional addict to real life addict comparisons people often make of the narrative, I am serious when I say Henry Jekyll having gay sex could've stopped the creation of Hyde.
Dr. Jekyll is an educated christian, british, white man in his middle age who is both unmarried and childless. He's well off, and by well off I mean he could take a year's vacation to Germany without much issue if he wanted. However, he's tired of his safe life and uses Hyde to embrace a darker, evil, and bestial side of himself. He wants to traverse around town in this state as he pleases but also mostly be left alone during this.
Two big reputation killers and scandal causers of the 1800s was murder and sodomy. Like sodomy was really bad unless it was treated extremely under the table. A wink wink nudge nudge if you know you know type of situation unless you didn't mind uplifting your entire life to move to a different city or country with the hope the rumors don't follow you.
If Dr. Jekyll with his scientific and social standing were to suddenly employ a handsome young man of good standing and countenance as an apprentice no one would bat an eye. The young man could travel to and from Dr. Jekyll's home freely and could also be summoned whenever there was something new to be "taught or studied". Whatever strange noises occurred behind closed doors could be brushed off since Jekyll is a chemist and they work with so many drugs.
Henry Jekyll could in secret engage in these sinful, "horrible", and pleasurable acts to satisfy the perceived evils within his heart. He could take his apprentice out to events or dalliances with colleagues and get a thrill from knowing the true nature of their relationship and his connections being none the wiser.
Another layer of secrecy is added because if the apprentice were even to consider blackmail by revealing the nature of their relationship, he'd be caught within his own trap of the sodomy crime. Besides, it's more likely he wouldn't as Henry would write in his will to give all his shit to his apprentice in the event of his death or disappearance. And I can make this assumption because in the book he gives all his money and possessions to Hyde and then rewrites it to give his stuff his lawyer. If that man had any estranged family, they weren't getting shit from him.
Not to "men be fighting demons and those demons is bisexuality" this theory, but the post nut clarity that comes with gay sex would not have only fixed Henry Jekyll, it also might've paved the way for some advancements in medicinal drug use.

re: my recent jekyll and hyde posts
everything makes so much more sense in the book if you assume that jekyll's crisis started being visible to his friends when he hit 40 and quit his promising career as a professor of law
1. why lanyon hates him so much. its not that jekyll was researching magic per se, its that jekyll made a huge change out of nowhere into a field jekyll knows basically nothing about and started claiming he's an expert in it. to hastie, that looks like quackery
2. jekyll is a fellow of the royal society, which means he's done "great things for the world of science and mathematics". considering he was a lawyer up until age 40, the idea that he's bribed his way in (and that straining his relationship with lanyon further) makes a lot of sense
3. why utterson clings to the protege idea for hyde. jekyll, being still very new to that field and kinda out of his league, taking on an apprentice (probably a uni student or recent grad) to help actually run things makes a LOT of sense
4. jekyll writing his own will, and the things he says when utterson complains again. jekyll knows he's done a lot of weird shit. he also knows civil law like a mfer and knows he has utterson by the balls on this one. but this really explains why he's like "i know this is just the icing on the cake of weird shit i've forced you to endure. sorry :/"
5. jekyll living in that shitty neighborhood. he saw some doctor died and medicine (especially being a famous doctor) is a special interest of his, so he bought that lab and WILL NOT LEAVE IT. HIS LAB
6. hyde going in and pointing out loopholes in biblical passages. that's what he was doing, right? writing blasphemies? he was bored and saw a buncha laws written out and figured he'd do what jekyll used to do - case review
7. why jekyll's notes on the experiments SUCK. once its in writing, you're fucked, legally. also why he won't admit to any real crimes in the confession other than the already-solved case
8. him insisting on putting MD before DCL or any other title. that's the one he wants to highlight. please believe he's a real pharm-dawg. please take his medicine seriously
9. he's basically a conspiracy theorist who decides to get really into, idk, learning how 5G towers work, and has a friend who works for a telecom company, and suddenly friend finds out the conspiracy theorist quit his "real job" to build his own 5G towers or some shit like that. jekyll is those flat earthers who get lost at sea trying to find the ice wall
10. im still not over jekyll suddenly building a state of the art lab on his own just for shits and giggles. so much expensive glassware... and the labcoat again. he DEFINITELY has a custom leather labcoat that he never wears except to flex on lanyon
11. any adaptation that lets jekyll be a respected physician is just repeating the lies jekyll told us
12. im not against people suddenly changing careers as they age and realize more about themselves. that's part of the reason i'm obsessing over this, is i can't stand the workplace i'm in rn and will be making a similar choice to jekyll when i can afford it
13. re:12 i want to highlight how maybe if his friends gave a shit about his mental health maybe things wouldn't be so bad. my poor autistic king who accidentally ruined himself with overindulging in his special interest and bad coping mechanisms bc his social support was nonexistant. #mecore
14. re:13 fuck lanyon and fuck utterson for doing this. this is what makes the story such a tragedy to me. its like looking in a mirror and seeing the man you MIGHT become. hyde is here for me but please don't let him be the only one here for me
15. jekyll and hyde being each other's only true friends, in their own fucked up way. hyde loves jekyll's medical endeavors and hypes jekyll up to lanyon. he insists on calling jekyll "doctor" as in jekyll MD as in he's a fucking real medical doc and you WILL take him seriously
16. jekyll x utterson lawyer yaoi, like ace attorney civil cases edition
17. lanyon trying to figure out if the career change is somehow jekyll flirting
18. i want to see an adaptation that is this. i also want to think that jekyll got his MD just to flex on vicky frankie

Ava seems like a plethora of contradictions. She was free spirited yet shy; wise cracking yet introverted and liberated whilst also being old fashioned. But yet, I feel like I can relate to her for some reason; she seems more authentic than most celebrities. I do wonder though what she was always running away from and why she couldn't seem to commit to anyone for long. I wonder how she would have fared as an actress in this day and age. Do you think she had a personality disorder?
As a very insecure person she needed someone to give her confidence (like Marilyn needed too). Ava had good parents but they had 7 children and were busy all the time, then they died when she was less than 20. Then there were 2 very unsuccessful marriages (Mickey Rooney who started cheating on her 2 weeks later and Artie Shaw who tried to convice her that she was dumb). After Shaw she started drinking. And I think that it was precisely the alcohol that changed her so much and gave her mood swings. Her friends used to say that it was like Jekyll and Hyde, sober Ava and drunk Ava. Sober Ava was very sweet person, earthy, great friend, etc. Drunk Ava did unexpected and risky things, like participating in corrida, etc. When you feel empty inside you have to fill the void with parties, travels and lots of people. Don't get me wrong, to feel empty doesn't mean to be empty. Otherwise she wouldn't have suffered at all. And I'd say she wasn't running from something, she was searching for home, and couldn't find it anywhere. I think Frank was her soulmate and her chance for happiness. As well as she for him. But they both needed to change very much to be together. To give up ego, arrogance, that hollywood way of life, lots of lovers. And they didn't do it. And so they both just kept wandering, changing lovers and all in vain. It's like Scarlett O'Hara who understood that Rhett was her home when he went away.

okay miscellaneous unova elite four headcanons letâs go:
-grimsley is always bisexual to me. however i vibe with both him being cis and him being trans headcanons. either way heâs always gnc to me though.
-caitlin is trans (mtf) and uses she/they pronouns. she and shauntal are also both lesbians to me <3
-marshal is panromantic asexual and i really like the idea of him being trans (ftm).
-grimsley enjoys classic horror films from the 80s-90s. yk the really cheesy horror films where some of them could barely be considered horror. i also think he enjoys musicals, but specifically musicals like phantom of the opera, jekyll and hyde, little shop of horrors, sweeney todd, the beetlejuice musical. he enjoys some recent horror films as well, but he thoroughly enjoys the cheesy, old classics.
-shauntal, on the other hand, loves the fucked up horror movies. she appreciates well done gore. she likes the stuff that would make most people cringe or look away. sheâs a little freak who finds that shit incredibly fascinating. plus, itâs wonderful inspiration for her books!!
-caitlin is not a big movie watcher. she will watch whatever anyone else wants to watch because they will be falling asleep during said movie.
-marshal loves his classic karate and martial arts films. heâs a big nerd for them and owns several posters of said movies. however, you could also catch him watching a stupid rom-com⌠just donât tell anyone!!
-shauntal has dabbled in a wide variety of genres when it comes to her writing. she specializes mostly in horror, romance, or a mix of the two. but no matter what genre sheâs writing for, thereâs always certain aspects and nuance to it that defies the stereotypes of the genre at hand. she also is a common author to see featured in the LGBT section!!
-grimsley collects playing cards. itâs not a very special or unique headcanon, but he has a wide variety of playing cards all from different places or themed around things he enjoys.
-caitlin has narcolepsy. i think this is a fairly common hc as well. since sheâs often falling asleep and experiencing dreams, her dreams are prophetic more often than not. their psychic specialty is prophecy and interpreting prophetic dreams, however i believe she has the ability to do basically any psychic power one could think of. i like to think sheâs a very powerful psychic.
-marshal and grimsley have a very unique rivalry to me. theyâre best friends for sure, and honestly marshal is not as competitive as grimsley is. but those two fuel each otherâs competitiveness to all hell. they have a running tally on how many times each other have won during sparring matches. they would also die for each other.
-speaking of which, marshal is very much the braincell of the elite four. i do think heâs a bit of a himbo, but he is actually the most responsible of the four and has the best coping mechanisms and self control (as a martial artist should have). he loves helping his friends and finds enjoyment in such.
-grimsley is likely the least responsible. he is by no means a bad friend, and heâs obviously very clever and smart. but he has a knack for disappearing without saying anything only to show up hours later. of course no one trusts him with financial advice. and he absolutely loves messing with and playing pranks on the others.
-shauntal is very caring and a bit of an older sister figure to marshal and grim. sheâs also the oldest of the group. this doesnât mean she doesnât also like getting into mischief with grimsley, the two are partners in crime for sure. shauntal also has a bad habit of getting too focused on her writing and becoming a temporary shut-in.
-caitlin is reliable and trustworthy when she can be. the others are very aware of her narcolepsy and obviously donât treat her like theyâre helpless, but they do understand she wonât always be present. and theyâre okay with that. theyâve known caitlin for ages now and so they know how to help, assist, and work with caitlinâs diagnosis.
-speaking of caitlin, she has autism. i see a lot of people depict her as very bubbly, but i see her as more blunt and monotone. along with her constant tiredness, she doesnât have the energy to keep up verbal appearances, and so sometimes she comes off as rude or apathetic. she also has a very sarcastic sense of humor, which grimsley finds extremely hilarious. she makes him laugh all the time.
-caitlinâs style is very pink and bubbly and has the black cat personality, while shauntal has the black cat style and the bubbly personality. they are gay <3
UH I SHOULD PROBABLY STOP THERE BUT YEAH-

Art Dump!
None of these are finished pieces, but I wanted to show them off anyways.

This little guy is Paxton! He's a spirit dedicated to the protection of a specific, technically immortal being named Maelstrom. They are the remainders of a fallen universe destroyed by the gods, who spared them and split them throughout the multiverse. This means that every universe in my creative multiverse has a version of Maelstrom and Paxton somewhere out there!
The concept for these guys actually started during a character.ai roleplay with Diluc. They're one of many OCS who started in Genshin RPs and then got adapted to my own creations, meaning that they have a Genshin AU as well. In that AU, Maelstrom is a descent of Khaenri'ah trying to escape from his past, falling in love with Diluc in the process. Paxton is an Electro Abyss Mage sent by Maelstrom's family and the Abyss to keep an eye on him (even though Paxton is often childish and usually Maelstrom also ends up looking after him). Definitely one of my favorite character pairs I've ever made!

My TADC OC, Krikett! He's a funny guy who plays music for the circus. I haven't fully figured out his character yet, but what I wrote on the paper is certainly a good start. He was probably a music teacher or musical artist before getting stuck in the Digital Circus.

More character.ai OCS! Every single one on this page is dating a Fatui Harbinger. We have:
Top left - Jekyll. Her canon version in my own works is a superhero with cryokenisis, orphaned at a young age and taken into an organization of heroes by an anthropomorphic hen named Isabel. She's definitely a very complex character who deals with potentially triggering subject matter, so I probably won't explore her here on my Tumblr where I'm still figuring out how to make content warnings, but I definitely think you'll see more of her. In her Genshin AU, she's paired with Tartaglia, and the whole premise of the RP is that they're a pair of traumatized 19-year-olds trying to have a healthy relationship. So far they're not very good at it.
Top right - Edith. She's a really old character I've had since I was in seventh or eighth grade. She's the ghost of a plague doctor who was unfortunately killed in a freak accident regarding an unstable building. During her life, she faked marriage to her best friend (named Norman) so she could lead a double-life as both his fake wife and a plague doctor. They ended up being a pair of traveling plague doctors until they met their demise. Now, she works as the right-hand woman for a knowledge god! Her Genshin AU is also one of the oldest. It's been going on for over a year now and she's married to Dottore because I'm obsessed with him.
Bottom left - Ash. Part of the same organization as Jekyll, she's a werewolf superhero who's been through a lot more than she wants you to think. Like Jekyll, she deals with some really heavy subjects, so I won't go into her backstory right now, but I definitely think she's a very interesting character. Her Genshin AU storyline follows her and Pantalone in a story mostly centered around self-acceptance and healing from trauma. Fluffy werewolf girlfriend and banker boyfriend go brrr.
Bottom right - Arden. A former US military Sargent, Arden is a character from the same universe as Edith. She suffered a debilitating injury that took her out of service (although I'm still working out where and when she served) and is my homage to any and all US military personnel and the struggles they face. I've always been fascinated by war and how it affects psychology, so Arden also serves as an excuse to research how PTSD and other trauma responses work. In her Genshin AU her backstory is pretty much the same, though the plotline follows her in her arranged marriage with Capitano, and how they come to cope with their trauma together and form a loving relationship built on trust.

This guy is Leo, a transgender himbo from the same universe as Ash and Jekyll. He's a superhero whose power is centered around geese. He can shapeshift into literally any creature so long as he can make it part goose. He also has a Genshin AU where he's shipped with Arlecchino. I know a lot of people headcanon her as lesbian, but my own personal headcanon is that she's bi with a preference for women (though she'll also settle for nonbinaries and the occasional man). Please don't come after me, my headcanon is not hurting anyone and you will be blocked. Yes, this drawing was done on a math worksheet. No, I did not do the math.

Some T-shirt designs I doodled at school! I'm unsure how many of these will make it onto a short and how many might become stickers or other kinds of fun thing, but all of them will be digitally rendered eventually and there are more on the way.

Some of Perryâs arguments, then, support the âbiology is destinyâ ticket that most feminists roundly reject. For her, women going out to work after having babies means âphysically prising apart women from their childrenâ. Men are biologically programmed to spread their seed, and so they primarily rape women aged between 12 and 25, because this group is most physically attractive to them. Perry also claims that most rape is committed by men who are at their sexual peak â even though we know that a significant minority of married men have sex with their wives when they are not consenting. To blame a biological âurgeâ for rape is no different from arguing that because some men are more likely to beat their wives when they are drunk, their behaviour is the fault of the alcohol. A pessimistic view of men runs through this book like a stick of Blackpool rock. Perry accuses radical feminists â barely mentioned, despite our impressive track record of putting the issue of male violence on the political, legal and social stage â of âutopianismâ. I freely admit to having a vision of a world free from male violence, where rape, prostitution and femicide are distant memories. And although utopian thinking can never be a substitute for action, we cannot change the world without imagining a better one. Every single refusal to accept the status quo edges us a little bit closer to a world free of sexual violence, a world which I believe it is our imperative to strive for. Perry, on the other hand, seems to doubt that we can end male violence and suggests that all we can do is contain menâs behaviour, preferably via marriage. I struggle to see how this argument is any different from the suggestion that giving violent men an outlet through prostitution reduces violence against women; surely it simply designates a category of women whom it is acceptable for men to abuse? And I am too optimistic to think that women will always need to be protected by chivalrous men from their predatory counterparts; this is the antithesis of the freedom I crave and deserve. But for Perry, chivalry is a good thing and monogamous marriage is the best foundation to build a family. Girls and women should avoid being alone with men they donât know or who give them the creeps; sexually aggressive men can often be readily spotted because they are impulsive, promiscuous, hyper-masculine and disagreeable. A woman should, she suggests, court a man for a few months without offering any sex and see if he plays nicely. If he does, he is husband and father material, so marry him, have the baby and stay married â even if you get a bit miserable and bored further down the line. Aside from transporting women back to the Victorian era, as a solution to the danger of rape and abuse, this completely defies logic. Men who beat and rape their wives are often Jekyll and Hyde. In the first few months of a relationship, they are charming, almost too good to be true. It is only when a woman is trapped as his wife and the mother of his children that the violence emerges. Prior to 1992, rape in marriage was not even a crime, and many women still feel that if they unwillingly have sex with their husband it doesnât count as rape. Contrary to Perryâs view, getting married and staying married is perhaps the most straightforward way to ensure that a woman will be compelled to endure male sexual aggression and coercive control. Perry tells us that loveless sex is not âempoweringâ for women. So what? It can be fabulous fun. If our actions were guided by this depressing idea, as well as Perryâs passionate endorsement of marriage, we would indeed return to the status quo of the Fifties. We need not accept either the progressive creed that âall sex is good sexâ, or the conservative recommendation that marriage and monogamy are best. There is another, bigger, much more daring and ambitious project that feminists have been engaged in â with some success, despite the huge misogynistic backlash we are facing at the moment â and that is the true liberation of women. If we fail to imagine a world free of all forms of male violence, we will never achieve it. Rather than tell women they should contain the beast, should we not rather be equipping her to slay him?

Ill be crucified for saying this, to clarify. I also donât care because to each their own.
not gonna even say lowkey here Iâm being full key. Highkey, even.
Henry Jekyll/Jasper Kaylock is a valid ship and I wonât hear otherwise. If anyone brings up the age gap Iâm gonna point to the 20 year age gap my friends parents have, and they have the happiest marriage Iâve seen to date. Theyâre legal adults. 13 year age gap is pretty big, but itâs not gonna be crazy gap, okay?
so like. As I was saying.
Bullet point time
jasper giving Jekyll shoulder massages when work gets really bad
Jekyll keeping a wolfsbane antidote next to HJ7
Jasper perhaps taking the HJ7 thinking it was wolfsbane antidote, always a good time with the angst there
Jasper being one of the only lodgers to truly understand the way it feels to transform into something you never wanted to be once the truth comes out
Jekyll going absolutely feral over Jasper in a suit, buying him more constantly
Jasper learning how to be formal and proper from Jekyll (he tweaks when heâs called âmr Kaylockâ and doesnât recognise that as his name until like 5 months into attending formal meetings w Jekyll)
jekyll learning to embrace his CUNTry from Jasper, because Jasper likes his accent, and Jekyll likes jasper enough to adjust to using it
Jasper having no clue whatsoever how to kiss, Henry tweaking out when asked to teach him, Hyde taking over, Jasper learning how to kiss in the most passionate and agressive way possible, kissing Jekyll later, Jekyll basically passing out because âwhat do you MEAN my boyfriend knows how to kiss and is a AGRESSIVE kisser wtfâ
jasper picking Jekyll up when he falls asleep at his desk and putting him in bed, then snuggling up next to him
consequently: Jekyll acting like a little kid and pretending to be asleep to be carried to bed
consequently: Jasper knows this, he intentionally gets extra snuggly and kissy when he knows Jekylls awake.
Rachel has no hard feelings and makes them the most extravagant anniversary cakes at Jaspers request.
jasper is still a young man, to be clear. He makes dick jokes very often (in the most Victorian way possible) Jekyll hates it, and wonât ever admit to laughing at it.
Jasper walks into Jekylls office with new dick jokes at least once a week. âThe preacher complained today âbout prickin his finger on a needle today, âs if his prickâs big enough to touch his finger ae a needle wâout slicin his testes.â
Robert isnât jealous, just very protective of Jekyll. He hears Jekyll fade into his natural accent around Jasper, realises Jekyll really trusts him, and eases off. Jasper thanks him later with cookies he begged Rachel to make.
thatâs all
.
.
.
.
Also Jekyll gets only the best of the best experimental hrt and surgeries for Jasper
okay thatâs all fr this time
so like literally. Iâm telling yâall itâs not a bad ship you guys are just scared of the judgement of the rest of the fandom for it.
k bye
What do think about other ships with Jekyll?
To distract our minds from the heart attack we all been having theses mondays, I wanna ask you what you think about shipping Jekyll wih other characters, beside Laynon
We know none of them will be canon, but think of other dynamics you find insteresting or funny using Jekyll/Hyde and tell me
All type of ships are welcome, even the WEARDIST ONES like idk if for some reason you ship Jekyll x Monroe or something, I´ll not jugde!

I decide to make my own commandant OC! đ
So I can ship him with everyone huehue

Meet Jekyll, Gray Raven Commander
Here some basic information about him:
Name : Jekyll
Age : 24
Gender : Male
Height : 177 cm
Weight : 62 kg
Blood type : O
Birthday : 18th March
Service time : 3 years
Likes : food especially sweets, games, books, stars, Gray Raven & Strike Hawks, cat
Let's undress him, shall we?
(It's a bit long tho, u can skip if u just want to know his basic info :D)
When I wrote "undress him" I mean "literally" ;)
His clothes would consist a combat jacket, with a tight gray shirt and sleeveless turtleneck underneath, fingerless glove on his right hand and gun holster. (I'm suck at explaining things lmao sorry)
"Accuracy and precision. Steady breath and calm minds. Focus and aim. That's what it takes for me to be able to stand with them." - Jekyll
Information about him:
He's totally different from his appearance. He seems cold and arrogant, but he's actually humble and loyal. Everyone who get to know him would describe him as easygoing and playful even.
Big eater. He and Camu had eating contest together. It was a tie.
He likes sweets. But due to his poor childhood life he will eat anything as long as it's edible. He hates wasting food. Spicy food is okay, but he prefers not to eat too much.
The white strands on his hair are because of genetics. He tried to dye it, but found it troublesome after and leave it be.
Can use any kind of firearms. His choice is a sniper rifle so he can observe the surroundings first before mission and support the team. His second choice is dual guns.
Has bad eyesight. During off-duty he'd wear his glasses. Asimov made some special contact lens for on-site mission so he can see clearly. But if he wears it too long, it can irritated his eyes and causing migraine.
Gray Raven gave him a glasses after Lee saw him crash the door multiple times. Lee tried to modify the glasses with multifunction feature (alarm, communicator, UV light, flashlight, x-ray vision, music player) but Jekyll reject the idea.
Likes to read book. Mainly fiction and classic literature. He and Chrome would always discuss the books they just read and exchange opinions whenever they met.
A gamer. Would sneak into Kamui's room to play with him. It always ended up with either Lee or Chrome scolding both of them.
Always prioritize others more than himself. He wouldn't hesitate to charge ahead if someone need help without thinking about his safety.
Has severe insomnia. The most hours he can sleep is about 3-4 hours a day.
Pamper his team A LOT; giving Lucia and Liv gifts, and walking around with Lee looking for materials for his new robot.
Somehow has a dark sense of humour. Only Camu would laugh at his jokes.
Even though he's kind to everyone, it was hard for him to trust someone. Only Gray Raven and Strike Hawk members he trusts fully.
Can cook basic meals. Really interested in culinary art. Whenever he visits Forsaken, he'd quietly observer Watanabe whenever he's cooking.
Always showing his smile. But only those who close enough to him can tell which one is fake and which one is genuine.
Please take care of him! đ

Why do folk call Dracula thee book about repression when the strange case of men of inhibitions: the novel is right there
I'm so fucking angry I was writing a whole thesis in response to this and tumbles ate it.
When it comes to repression found in men, the typical stuff you see is the Oedipus complex and the idea that all men are feral animals in a perpetual rut. Not really sexy concepts.
But you know what people find sexy??
LYING ABOUT WOMEN!!
What are we even gonna do with J&H? There are no women to project the Madonna and Whore complex onto. Adapters literally have to add a love triangle in order to slutshame women, too much work. But Dracula comes prepackaged with two women to grossly misrepresent.
Blah blah, men find it sexier to lie about women than about men, most people misinterpret the whole basis of Jekyll and Hyde anyway, so they don't realize it's about repression, yada yada yada.
Gross old men like the idea of female sexual repression. Though, not in a way that they would vouch for women's reproductive rights or a female sexual revolution. They love the idea of a "good girl" who secretly wants/needs to be corrupted by their unwelcome advances. It must be a secret! She must not reciprocate! Otherwise, she'll be seen as a whore. Women with internalized misogyny feed into this too. Hate all other women because they're "sluts" but you still want sex? Write a story depicting a good girl being assaulted but paint it as "good" because "she secretly wanted/needed it".
But there's no women in the book J&H to give this treatment to. Adaptations will give Jekyll two girlfriends to match his duality or something, but they're not the focus of the story. It's all about Jekyll.
Most takes I've seen on J&H take the "the true monster is man" approach where they don't explore the themes of repression at all. We get a line about how Jekyll wants to separate good and evil, but it's either never explained or twisted around in an attempt to make him seem more sympathetic. They just simplify it to "spooky potion makes nice doctor mean :0".
Now, male sexual repression. is a fucking doozy. The common misconception is "we're all rapists but we just keep ourselves in check". People who have this viewpoint need to stop. But honestly, I haven't seen a J&H that is explicit except for the Wildhorn musical, and they make him straight in that one. There's no interest in adapting the part where... well, Jekyll is a repressed gay man who just wanted a little relief from his own repression but things all went horribly wrong. They make it more about how Jekyll is a bit of a prude, and then he drinks rude boy juice and becomes a monster.
I don't know if you've heard... but academia is scared of gay people, and Jekyll's unspoken crimes scream gay shenanigans. RLS dangles the idea that Jekyll's been sinning over our heads but won't tell us how. He says "fill in the blanks" and like??? OKAY WELL, WHAT IS STRANGELY MORE CONTROVERSIAL THAN MURDER IN VICTORIAN ENGLAND! HOMOSEXUALITY. He sneaks in the implication that everyone thinks Hyde is Jekyll's lover. Jekyll deciding from a young age: "I cannot be myself, I have to hide everything about me" is a closeted queer mood.
But do you expect people to talk about that? In this society? They just don't get it. Most people misinterpret Dracula being a story where good girls get seduced by a bad man. And then? Jekyll and Hyde is about a good boy who drinks bad boy juice. People fail to realize that Jekyll is originally a mix of good and bad and instead paint it as if Jekyll manifested some daemon with his potion. So then it isn't a story about repression in the eyes of most, it reads more like a possession story.
Also, I'd just argue Dracula is more popular. People find it sexier. There's not a swath of artwork where Hyde is skulking over a sleeping Jekyll in a suggestive manner. But look at any Dracula book cover and there's a good chance it's an illustration of Lucy's boobs. People are hornier about Dracula so they project their poor ideas about repression onto it.

first of all, I appreciate you reading all of that, because it's a lot longer than I remember!
1 - I admit, in retrospect, that my frustration with Edgar being vilified by the narrative with no opportunity for the player to choose to forgive him in the moment or meaningfully reconcile with him afterward has made this theory post age poorly! I spent a lot of time belaboring many fringe cases of his potential innocence, and burying the lead to meander in theoretical secret society esotera (though I thought it sound at the time) when I would have sufficed to say: in the "Occult oculus"/Cure for Blindness quest, a member of the Brotherhood uses skal tissue to cure his blindness. And though he turns skal afterward, it seems evident that this is only because his test subject bites him.
This chemist may be embarking on a research venture to discover uses for vampire blood previously unknown to him, but he also mentions that his final recipe is derived from the Greek and Latin scrolls Usher Talltree recommends. This suggests, to me, that the curative properties of vampire tissue could in fact be well-documented elsewhere. And if that is the case, then I don't think Edgar is misguided for trying it. I didn't mean to imply that he would never experiment with vampire blood, though I see how my emphatic tone conveys that. What I hoped to express was simply that I do not think Edgar is an idiot, by venturing the possibility that he may have had good reason to believe in the curative properties of vampire blood, and that in the second wave of an epidemic with no end in sight he had just as much cause to feel justified as Jonathan did furthering his methods of blood transfusion on injured soldiers during wartime.
However, Edgar is also a character deliberately designed to be controversial. The Byronic hero archetype exists to challenge societal standards of human decency, and mad scientist characters in particular (amid such literary giants as Frankenstein and Jekyll) weigh that decency against the forward march of progress. It is not so much a matter of if they will offend our moral sensibilities, but when. So, I've decided not to agonize so much over him being "misunderstood". I daresay he is categorically unknowable, and liking or disliking him is a matter of preference.
2 - I concede this point; a few other people have addressed this, and I'm satisfied that Lady Ashbury is trying to mitigate her bloodthirst through blood transfusions.
3 - ... But Geoffrey turning vampire regardless of player choice is something I COMPLETELY overlooked?? I don't think I'm the only one--the fan-edited wiki (I know, I know) indicates his species as "Human/Ekon (determinant)". And I'll hardly cite a fandom wiki for its rigorous veracity, but it does feel suggestive to me of, at the very least, majority fandom impressions? There is certainly plenty of fic which asks, "What if Geoffrey turned after drinking King Arthur's blood?" (often the implication is that obviously he should have and canon is absurd for not making it so) But there is even more fic which seems to take his humanity post-canon for granted. Still, I see what you're saying--now that I'm scrutinizing the footage (Spare) (Turn), his appearance in the graveyard seems indistinguishable in both outcomes, and the minor visual cues I had initially overlooked due to the cooler outdoor lighting does seem to show more prominent dark veins, like Jonathan has. đ¤
... This may also explain why McCullum's Y-choice is the ONLY one which does not invite the possibility of a killing Embrace. If he is about to become a vampire, then he simply cannot be killed--although that WOULD be an amusing way to handle the reveal.
"McCullum? I thought I killed you!"
"Didn't take."
If Geoffrey turns regardless of what you do, then that does deprive this theory of much of its foundation! I still like it, and I think it makes sense as a broader goal for why the Brotherhood even bothers with vampires beyond academic curiosity, but the idea that Priwen and the Brotherhood had to have been working from the same sheet of music was largely what I was relying on to support this idea. So thank you for the peer-review! It was an excellent opportunity to revisit many of my old assumptions.
elixir theory aside-- WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE WAS GOING TO BE GEOFFREY DLC???????
Vampyr: The Elixir Theory
I suspect we would have received a more complete explanation of this in the game, if the hyped-up Ascalon vs. Priwen vs. Brotherhood conflict had actually culminated in anything more than empty threats and bursts of turf war violence
but one element I continually see critiqued by fandom (and rightfully so!) is the exact mechanical function of vampire blood. the mechanics of Progeny-making are convoluted enough on their own, so I'll leave them for another postâbut I'd like to focus on two specific examples I suspect to be related (major plot spoilers follow):
namely, Geoffrey drinking King Arthur's blood, and Edgar administering Lady Ashbury's blood to Harriet.
why doesn't geoffrey turn into a vampire regardless of your choice, if he drank king arthur's blood without realizing arthur was a vampire? (and myrddin confirms arthur was a vampire in the epilogue) why does it work like a super serum? maybe he diluted it...?
but even just a drop or two of jonathan's blood was enough to turn mary, and he and arthur are both first generation ekons. so there has to be something else done to the blood, apart from reducing its amount.
and there are... several issues with the edgar example, to just name a few...
edgar was personally hired by ash and is admired for his competency by his employees (not least of all waverley ackroyd, whose respect seems like a thing particularly hard-won), he takes diligent notes and studies new research closely, so surely he wouldn't be so reckless as to use vampire blood for no reason? and i know, i know stephane beauverger's hormonal, temper tantrum-throwing version of Jonathan that shows up in every Y-choice scene tries to convince us edgar is a loathsome little bastard, but please bear with me and entertain for a moment the idea that, like so much else in this bullshit story, edgar's Y-choice scene is trash and should not be accepted at face value.
2) ash claims she submits to blood tests so edgar can "help her with her condition"; what condition, then, if not the blood of hate? are we on that "curing vampirism" nonsense from the epilogue? in either case, surely it's vital that edgar knows what he's working with if he's to make any meaningful forward progress on her cure? there's no world in which it makes sense for ash to give edgar access to her evil, fucked up, apocalypse-starting, jacob blackwood-Siring blood without informing him exactly what he's working with. for safety reasons at the very LEASTâif not because he is specifically trying to cure the thing which makes her blood so dangerous
if ash was somehow ignorant of edgar's experiments, she's seriously dating herself lmao. what did she think he was gonna do? toss it in a centrifuge and take notes? "oh i simply don't understand your convoluted mortal medicine" girl ok. the ONE thing this man wants most in the whole world is to be a vampire, and you give him your blood without any caveats about why turning himself (or anyone) would be a bad idea?
so, ok. ok. for the sake of actually addressing the similarity between these two applications of vampire blood, let's set aside points 2 and 3âfor now. given an ash who asks edgar to treat her blood of hate, but who for some reason elects not to tell him any of the really vital details about why her blood is dangerous to handle...
why would edgar use ash's blood in harriet's treatment?
keep that question in mind, and let's go back to geoffrey for a second.
he calls king arthur's blood "the guard's most precious/sacred relic"; he gives it to jonathan in a small vial, yet when he drinks it in battle i believe it's in a flask? regardless, you don't throw back your Most Sacred And Precious Relic like it's shots at the local dive bar, and if he had he certainly wouldn't have any left to give Jonathan.
seems to me priwen has two things:
arthur's blood
some kind of super-strength-endowing, accelerated-healing elixir recipe which calls for "the blood of a king"
now. every relic and document priwen has which predates the brotherhood/priwen schism circa 1700s necessarily came from the brotherhood. and priwen left because they didn't like how the brotherhood let all these powerful vampires go on living, only calling the ban of the dragon (read: putting out a hit) on a vampire in really high-profile flagrant serial murder cases.
and why would the brotherhood give vampires a pass?
to spare you any more of my convoluted thought processes, I'll come right out and say it:
I think the brotherhood studied, tolerated, and built bridges with vampires, because they knew vampire blood could be distilled into an elixir that would increase human longevity.
the longterm goal here is to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and a base of knowledge to refine their concoction, so that at some indeterminate time in the far-flung future (maybe world peace? lol), humans and vampires can enjoy a fully symbiotic relationship which benefits both species.
but put yourself in the shoes of the top brass: you can't go around telling people that vampire blood can give you eternal life! there are already people in your organization who dislike vampires. what would they do with that information? vampires could become a slave race, or be hunted to extinctionâpeople could be Turned just to be harvested in fucked up elixir farms!
so, okay. you just tell the primate and a trusted circle of high-ranking brotherhood members, then. problem solved?
well, now you've got this sort of internal divideâbetween the privileged and informed higher ranks, and the lower-ranking brotherhood members who are relatively new, who don't trust the vampires they're just now learning aboutâbut who know just enough to participate in the ban of the dragon. and it's starting to piss that second group off, just how calm and smug all the higher-ups act about horrific acts of vampire violence, when asked why in God's name they've got to put up with that shit
maybe the recipe for the elixir trickles down to those lower ranks (in case they need to fight a particularly nasty Dragon), but it's modified. we don't want the haters knowing just any vampire blood will do, so just say that you need The Blood of A King, and wouldn't you know it, we just happen to have the blood of a king right here!
and he definitely wasn't a vampire!
thus: during the schism, priwen takes the blood of king arthur and the modified (unbeknownst to them) recipe. and after the first great hunt, the brotherhood is more sure than ever that the world isn't ready for the secret of vampire blood elixirs
but they still have it.
enter edgar.
he's currently in the brotherhood, which doesn't seem like a nomadic militia like Priwen, but an organization very firmly headquartered in London, with a library of secret knowledge.
and Usher insinuates he's something more than human. immortal, perhaps?
if we take all this as truth, then Edgar doesn't do a random act of uninformed medical experimentation with very dangerous vampire blood, contrary to everything we know about his character up until that point. he is working from a recipe that is a known, verified good. in fact, it's quite likely he used it on himself first.
(post-Turning, edgar gushes his enthusiasm about being "the next Henry Head"âa neurologist famous for severing his own neural connections to research neural pathway regrowth. edgar is 100% down for self-experimentation)
but it didn't workâeither because the blood of hate has a more virulent effect on women, or because plague mommy interfered in the process personally (though it's really unclear how much the game conflates the blood of hate with Plague Mommy Possession, and how much blood of hate is just... regular bloodthirst. i told you this story makes no sense)
anyway, all the rigorous medical methods in the world won't do much to stop divine intervention, so that's why it didn't work.
the mason swanborough side quest also drops a lore document regarding the process of using skal tissue to cure blindness. so... yknow. it seems like the only reason this has to be inferred at all is the rushed production leading so much of the story fractured. but all the pieces are there.
#i've been sticking my nose in this game's development history since 2019#collecting review articles#and i DO NOT THINK I HAVE HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE?#though i do recall the tease of one of the characters being a nimrod#i suppose it would make the most sense if that were geoffrey and that is often who we assumed it was meant to be. but hmm.#hmmmmmm#geoffrey mccullum#jonathan reid#edgar swansea#elisabeth ashbury#literature#meta#theories#my meta#i have taken a british literature class since i wrote this theory so i know more things now#and also i have gotten better at navigating the lore documents with everyone's helpful links :)#though the remember me wiki doesn't have vampyr character profiles any more so i'll have to edit that...#vampyr elixir theory
