I fell asleep last night before 10 (maybe like 9:30???) and slept until 5:30! I was amazed. We had Christmas at my cousins yesterday (my mom’s side) so it was a long ride to NJ and back.
Gavin officially knows now that the Santa who comes to parties/the mall etc is not real (he loudly yelled, that’s Papa!!!! And I had to explain he needs to pretend he is real for the sake of the little kids/you’re part of the magic now etc etc lol) but he says he knows Santa on Christmas morning IS real because “you’re too cheap to buy me these kind of things” 😂.
#my cousin is the definition of a beige mom#her tree has no ornaments#instead it is covered in pinecones 😅#she had barely any toys#no blankets or play mat for her baby to lay on and play#like she laid the baby on her hard floor#zero photographs of her kids on the walls#I know everyone’s got their aesthetic but it was kind of sad how unlivable her house looked

like sorry to talk about caroline calloway in 2023 but i will never stop thinking about her painting her rental floor white. like i get it i will have an Ambitious idea and simply start doing it with no thought process too and i’m not sure if she was in active addiction at the time but that might have been a factor. and even like if she had Just painted the floor white i wouldn’t care everything is temporary etc and idc about landlords but. the thing that continues to tickle me is how. instead of picking her clothes up off the floor. she simply painted Around them
like. this will never not entertain me. just chuck that stuff on a couch for a couple days!!!!

do you ever not dream for extended amounts of time then the one time you do dream it’s really fucking vivid
#bc i barely dream but i just had the most fucking vivid dream of my life dude#so i was in this old woman i don’t knows house and it was modernly decorated she had carpet beige walls etc#she also had white and pink tulle hang drying from her ceiling like halfway down on the whole second floor#i couldn’t get to her top floor either i was literally restricted to the first and second floor#anyways so i go really slowly to her room since i couldn’t move fast and her room is normal it has a bed; typical grandmother stuff#i go to leave and i notice she has this closet where it’s like a reading nook?#it’s insanely dark inside the closet; you could tell it was shallow but no light was getting in at all. in front of the entrance there was#a curtain of green plush bats hung upside down instead of a door; in the style of those baby plushes. in front of them also was a sign that#read “your child is reading upside down!” at taht point i could make out small details and a lot of things like a wood chair were hung upsi#upside down.#she was also communicating with me through tumblr but not directly to me; vaguely about me with her two teenage daughters#it was odd and really vivid and the second dream i’ve had like that except last time there was no pink and white tulle drying everywhere#sodaramblestoomuch#if you read all that thank you i feel sorry for you

ripped up the gross 25 y/o carpet in my bedroom at my parents house over the weekend bc I just wanted it gone but this has become A Project
#i wont get real floors for awhile lol so i ordered a big rug.#and now im inclined to like. get a new quilt for my bed and paint my walls green.#i will buy a quilt next time i get paid. itll be at least another two weeks before i can find time to paint my walls.#my buddies are spending the first night they visit at my house bc they wont get here till late so im going to have be like.#hi this is my room. sorry that i have plywood floors.#please ignore the horrific colour palette combination im in the process of changing it.#my room is currently a pale beige-pink colour which i still like but i think its time for something new.#txt
