new winter bedsheets omfg 😍

my bedroom is still essentially unheated as they haven’t yet come to fix the cracks in the wall in the adjacent sun porch, and we’re about to go into the usual january long stint of subfreezing temps, so i acquired cotton flannel bedsheets in the post-christmas sales

please understand that i am a fussy percale or renforcé only person. breathability is everything. sateen, the luxury choice for the sensory normie (the weave where you get all the high thread count discourse), is literally too hot for me. i’ve never even fucking considered flannel before

well. it does what it says on the tin. this is the coziest i have ever been. these are whole new hitherto unimagined heights of coziness. utter toasty victory. i have old man winter suspended in full shibari in my bedroom, he can come when i say he can come and not before

details for the record: this is redbest biber duvet sets with erwin müller house brand feinbiber bottom sheet and extra pillowcase, all of it 100% cotton. five stars. no notes. i think this spannbettlaken is even the dread but ubiquitous jersey, which is every fucking bottom sheet in this country and is the bane of my life in german bedsheets, wtf is wrong with you people, but i literally don’t care, whatever is done to make flannel flannel means no nasty hand feel like with most jersey. and i’ve come across bad hand feel cotton flannel before so this was not a given? idk what makes feinbiber fein but it’s officially good

the drawback is that i can’t get out of bed. the rush of cold air when i pull back the duvet (two duvets actually) is such a stark contrast with the warmth underneath that i get the bends and nope the fuck out. send help i’m stuck
