What I think is really neat is the reason why Glinda picks on Elphaba isn’t because of her skin colour being green at all, but because Madam Morrible chose her over her.
She makes a pretence about it being about her skin colour because she doesn’t want it to reflect on her perceived failure at being special to Shiz enough that the Wizard would take the time to notice her the way he does with Elphaba for her magic abilities - and then as soon as they’re best friends - Glinda immediately just gives up that whole rouse and is just like: “actually, she deserves it over me” because - in her own way - Glinda feels outcast too and she compensates for it by being the most popular. But through their friendship, she learns to accept herself just as much as she learns to accept Elphaba. She learns to accept being no one special. Un-extraordinary. But instead a real support system to someone that is what she will never ever be.
She’s humbled by her experiences with Elphaba.
And it makes her a very beautiful person too. That’s the reason why her magic grows beyond her capacity for it.
Her magic is in healing, in supporting - in loving. But in order for her to reach this potential, she had to look beyond and outside of herself. Outside of her bubble.
In a sense: she can do so much for “the little people”when she doesn’t see herself as being above them.
What makes Glinda the Good is not her popularity or her vanity - but her need to relate to others for other’s sake. When her unconditional love for them is as bright and blinding as her physical beauty. This is her power.
In that scene where she tells Elphaba that she is beautiful just as she is, she glows in reflection too.
It’s because for seemingly the first time - she’s put inner beauty above outer beauty. It’s very attractive.
Elphaba teaches Glinda - without realizing it I have to add - that beauty is not skin deep. Beauty is within.
Glinda only becomes such a powerful force for Good because she’s learned to accept in herself what she once believed was not just as much as she has others.
Putting herself on the same level propelled her higher. It’s not because she already had that high position in her society. Likewise it’s not because anyone else was below her. She had to earn the right to be that high up by understanding what it took for someone to fall down.
That’s the overall message of WICKED.
It’s not about being Good or Evil.
But what it takes to get there.
And what is lost from it.
That’s why I love that it’s not a success story. It’s not supposed to be. It’s supposed to be a representation and reflection of hardship and failure and weakness.
But within that - how the attempt is still very notable when things are sent to try us, defame us, oppress us.
Stories like that are hard to come by because success/victory is just far more appealing and entertaining than the opposite is. But I’ve never been interested in what was appealing or entertaining. Only in what educates.
thinking about how the best case scenario that elphaba can imagine in the wizard and i is that finally someone will come along who will be able to change everything about her. even in her wildest dreams, she views that as her best option.
and then.
along comes galinda. who - after spending an entire night attempting to give her a makeover - settles on: ‘actually, you’re perfect just the way you are. i wouldn’t change a thing. except maybe to tuck a little piece of myself in with you, just there.’
and i just think that’s neat.

An Aries Moon doesn’t typically desire to have children due to their strong sense of independence and fast-paced nature. When it comes to their emotions, Aries Moons are not the most patient—they don’t like to dwell on feelings or spend much time processing them. They’re also not naturally inclined toward self-compassion, often being hard on themselves.
Because of this, an Aries Moon may feel they would struggle with the emotional demands of parenting. They might worry about being too tough on a child or failing to provide the kind of emotional support a child needs. As a result, an Aries Moon doesn’t usually see parenthood as a natural fit for their personality.
However, there are exceptions. Aries Moons are ruled by Mars, which governs passion and intimacy. When deeply in love, an Aries Moon may feel inspired to have children, especially since their Mars-driven energy often leads them to seek physical closeness and intimacy frequently. In such cases, if they believe their partner would be a good parent or that their partner balances their own emotional tendencies, they may decide to start a family.
Interestingly, Aries Moons are not naturally drawn to the nurturing, emotional aspects of motherhood. However, Aries Moon men may be more open to fatherhood. The idea of leading a family and taking on a protective, leadership role aligns with the fiery and ambitious energy of this placement. This makes fatherhood more appealing to them than the emotionally intensive aspects of parenting.
☾𝒯𝒶𝓊𝓇𝓊𝓈 ℳℴℴ𝓃
A Taurus Moon typically has a strong desire to become a parent, largely because they are natural nurturers who enjoy giving and caring for others. This nurturing energy often seeks an outlet, and the most traditional vessel for that is raising children. Taurus Moons, especially women, are often drawn to the idea of parenthood for this reason.
The energy of Taurus is ruled by practicality, which means many Taurus Moons view having children as a natural extension of a relationship or a fulfilling part of building a family. They may also see raising children as an opportunity to nurture and guide them into becoming healthy, well-rounded adults, or to provide experiences they themselves may not have had growing up.
Taurus Moons are especially likely to want children when they are in love. They enjoy the idea of extending the love they share with their partner to a child, creating balance and harmony within the relationship. For them, the connection between parenthood and love is deeply fulfilling.
In addition, Taurus Moons are drawn to parenthood when they feel stable. This stability doesn’t necessarily mean being wealthy or having every aspect of life figured out. Instead, it’s about being in a comfortable, steady routine where they are financially secure and content with their day-to-day life. Taurus Moons thrive when they are preoccupied with meaningful tasks, and raising a child fits perfectly into their desire for purpose and responsibility.
Men with a Taurus Moon also have a nurturing side and are likely to want children. They often see parenthood as a natural step in a serious relationship, thinking, “She could be the mother of my child.” Taurus Moon men are drawn to the essence of family and enjoy the grounding, fulfilling experience of building a close-knit unit of their own. The idea of having a family brings them a deep sense of stability and belonging.
☾𝒢ℯ𝓂𝒾𝓃𝒾 ℳℴℴ𝓃
Gemini Moons have a 50-50 split when it comes to wanting to be parents. Some Gemini Moons are not interested in parenthood at all, primarily because they value their freedom and love living in the moment. They enjoy the ability to be spontaneous and on the go, and they don’t want to feel confined by the responsibilities of parenting. For these individuals, the idea of having children just doesn’t align with their desire for independence and restlessness.
However, there are also Gemini Moons who find parenthood incredibly intriguing. They are curious about the process of raising a child and are fascinated by how their child will turn out. These individuals often see parenting as a unique experience and are interested in approaching it in an unconventional way. They may want to channel their own personalities into their parenting style, aiming to be unique or “out-of-the-box” parents. For these Gemini Moons, the idea of parenthood becomes appealing due to their curiosity and the desire to explore this new and exciting role.
☾𝒞𝒶𝓃𝒸ℯ𝓇 ℳℴℴ𝓃
Cancer Moons usually want to be parents because they are natural homebodies who love the comfort of their homes. They take pleasure in creating a beautiful and cozy environment and enjoy spending time there. Children often spark their interest because Cancer Moons are inherently nurturing. They have a deep desire to care for and nurture something, and children represent a traditional way to channel that nurturing energy. Many Cancer Moons also want to connect emotionally with their children, especially if they had their own emotions dismissed growing up or didn’t feel they were treated in the way they desired. For these individuals, parenthood is an opportunity to reinvent parenting and be the kind of parent who not only nurtures a child with practical support but also offers emotional care, protection, and a strong presence. They aim to listen to, connect with, and truly show up for their child.
However, some Cancer Moons may choose not to have children, especially if they feel emotionally unstable. Because Cancer Moons are highly emotional beings, if they believe their emotions are too unbalanced to provide the stability a child needs, they may decide against parenthood. A Cancer Moon desires to be a great parent, and if they feel their emotional state is not conducive to that, they will hesitate to bring a child into the world.
Both Cancer Moon men and women generally want to be parents, as they crave the deep emotional connection with their children. The presence of children and the idea of having a family often make Cancer Moons feel more complete and fulfilled.
☾ℒℯℴ ℳℴℴ𝓃
A Leo Moon will definitely want to have a family, as Leo is all about close-knit connections and feeling validated by those around them. For many Leo Moons, parenthood is a highly validating experience. It allows them to feel a sense of accomplishment, particularly if they didn’t succeed in certain areas of life. They often see having a child as an opportunity to support and nurture that child’s growth, helping them succeed, bloom, and feel creative. Leo Moons are naturally inclined toward parenthood because they want to guide their children to achieve greatness.
However, there is a small percentage of Leo Moons who may struggle with parenthood. Leo Moons can sometimes crave being the center of attention and might feel that a child will divert attention away from them or their relationship with a partner. In these cases, they might delay having children to fully enjoy their time with their partner or focus on themselves. They may fear that having a child without having these experiences first could lead them to preoccupy themselves with personal desires, rather than being fully present and supportive for their child.
Overall, though, Leo Moons do desire to have children. They view parenthood as a positive and fulfilling experience. Given that the Sun, their ruling planet, represents fatherhood, many Leo Moon men especially see fatherhood as a significant and rewarding part of life.
☾𝒱𝒾𝓇𝑔ℴ ℳℴℴ𝓃
A Virgo Moon typically doesn’t want to have children, and the reason is that Virgo Moons are not necessarily focused on service within the family context. They tend to be more service-oriented in their work, school, or other responsibilities. Unlike Cancer Moons, who are naturally nurturing and motherly towards children and family, Virgo Moons are more likely to show up and perform at a job or take on responsibilities. They are humble, adaptable, and willing to compromise in those areas, as they are a mutable sign.
However, when it comes to their personal lives, Virgo Moons are more introverted and detached at times, as they tend to be very analytical rather than emotionally engaged. A Virgo Moon would typically only want to become a parent if they were in a stable relationship and felt prepared for children. For a Virgo Moon, having the necessary stability in their life is essential before they would consider having a child.
Virgo Moons are also likely to become parents even if they don’t initially want to, simply because they are adaptable. If their partner wants children, they may be the type to go along with it, especially since they can have self-sacrificial tendencies and are generally inclined to be of service to others. However, they don’t naturally yearn for children. They are more preoccupied with their routines and don’t feel a strong urge to become parents on their own.
That said, if they’re in a good relationship and feel that having children is the next step, they will likely have children. But Virgo Moons are not typically drawn to parenthood as a natural desire.
☾ℒ𝒾𝒷𝓇𝒶 ℳℴℴ𝓃
Libra Moons are likely to want to be parents, and the reason is that they often see their children as friends. Libra Moons are very social beings, and in this placement, they are even more social because emotionally, they like to talk about their feelings and seek harmony in their relationships. Even if a Libra Moon initially didn’t want children, their verbal nature and desire for harmony would likely lead them to go along with the idea. If they feel that having children would bring harmony to their relationship or life, they would be open to the idea.
Additionally, because Libra is a cardinal sign, they are more likely to take the initiative and express a desire to have children. With Libra being ruled by Venus, which is associated with relationships, Libra Moons often feel more at peace when they’re in a relationship than when they’re single. This constant seeking of connection may lead them to want children, as they idealize the concept of family. Even if they were initially against having children, they might eventually decide to have one, as they crave the peace and balance that a family could bring.
Furthermore, Libra Moons are ruled by Venusian energy, which is centered around love, beauty, and giving. This energy makes them feel fulfilled when they can nurture and give to others. A Libra Moon might feel that having a child is a way to channel this nurturing energy and offer love and care in a way that aligns with their desire to give and nurture those they love.
☾𝒮𝒸ℴ𝓇𝓅𝒾ℴ ℳℴℴ𝓃
A Scorpio Moon can be a bit tricky when it comes to wanting children. Many Scorpio Moons may not feel ready for parenthood because they carry a lot of unresolved trauma and deep, intense emotions. Their life experiences tend to be very intense, and some may feel apprehensive about having children. There’s often a fear surrounding parenthood, especially given the vulnerability involved in pregnancy and childbirth. For many, the thought of holding a child and the emotional and physical shifts that come with parenting can feel daunting.
Scorpio Moons already deal with emotional imbalances, such as depression, sadness, and heavy emotions. As a result, some may be afraid of experiencing postpartum depression or the emotional changes that come with becoming a parent. There may be a fear of not being able to show up for their child in the way they want to, given their emotional complexity. For some Scorpio Moons, the idea of having a child might lead them to consider alternatives like surrogacy or IVF, as they might not want to carry the child themselves due to these fears.
However, there are also Scorpio Moons who are deeply passionate about having children. These individuals may feel that they haven’t experienced true love in their lives and see a child as a source of unconditional love, something they feel they’ve been missing in their own relationships. For them, having a child may fill a void and provide the deep connection they long for. So, for Scorpio Moons, it’s really a 50/50 situation—some may want children, while others may be more hesitant or fearful.
☾𝒮𝒶𝑔𝒾𝓉𝓉𝒶𝓇𝒾𝓊𝓈 ℳℴℴ𝓃
I would say that Sagittarius Moons are also very 50-50 when it comes to having children. For some Sagittarius Moons, they are so on the go, always engaged in new adventures, interests, and traveling, that the idea of having children doesn’t really cross their minds. They are constantly stimulated by new experiences, and for some of them, the thought of having a child feels limiting to their freedom. They may even think that if they were to get someone pregnant, they wouldn’t stick around for the pregnancy because they’re focused on their own pursuits. For Sagittarius Moon men, they might prefer doing their own thing, while for women, some may feel like motherhood would be too restrictive, as they crave the freedom to enjoy life and travel.
However, there’s another side to Sagittarius Moons that really embraces the idea of having children. Some see themselves as children at heart and get excited around kids. They enjoy being around children, having fun with them, and often think of parenthood as a fun adventure rather than something serious or deep. For these Sagittarius Moons, having a child doesn’t require a deep commitment or a stable relationship with someone. They may not even feel the need to be married or have a traditional family setup, as they view having children as a source of joy and a new, exciting chapter in their lives. They see children as a blessing and an opportunity for more happiness and adventure, and they want to experience it.
☾𝒞𝒶𝓅𝓇𝒾𝒸ℴ𝓇𝓃 ℳℴℴ𝓃
With Capricorn Moons, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. While many Capricorn Moons may not desire to be parents, a significant number of them do. Here’s why: Some Capricorn Moons can be very dark, deep, and reserved. They carry a lot of wounds and trauma, and they often feel emotionally restrained. For these individuals, the idea of having children may not appeal to them at all—it can seem like just another responsibility to take on, which doesn’t excite them. They may prefer to dedicate their lives to themselves, even if it seems selfish, rather than take on the responsibility of raising a child.
However, for other Capricorn Moons, the desire to have children is tied to their drive for accomplishment. These individuals often seek a sense of fulfillment in life, and for some, part of that fulfillment comes from having a family. For them, having children aligns with their vision of a successful, traditional life. They may feel like they haven’t fully accomplished what they set out to do if they don’t have children. It’s not so much that having children is their main goal, but more that it’s an integral part of their overall life goals. For these Capricorn Moons, becoming a parent is something they may feel compelled to do in order to feel that they’ve truly achieved the life they desire.
☾ 𝒜𝓆𝓊𝒶𝓇𝒾𝓊𝓈 ℳℴℴ𝓃
Aquarius Moons typically want children when they feel surrounded by a supportive community. This is when they are most likely to desire parenthood, as Aquarians are independent but also enjoy being part of groups and communities. While it may not always be about family, they feel that a child can bring blessings to their environment. Aquarius Moons often see the bigger picture, thinking about how having a child could impact not just themselves, but others, such as making their parents grandparents or their siblings uncles or aunts. This sense of community and connection can inspire them to want children.
However, many Aquarius Moons may not want children because they tend to live somewhat erratic lives. Their emotional state can be unpredictable, which makes them hesitant about the consistency and stability required in parenthood. They value their freedom and may not want to feel tied down to the responsibilities of being a parent.
For the Aquarius Moon individuals who do decide to become parents, their approach is often unconventional. Their parenting style might be unique, and they may be somewhat disciplinary, as Aquarius is a fixed sign ruled by Saturn and Uranus. These placements can make them more rigid, but also prone to sudden shifts in behavior or unpredictability. Aquarius Moon men may be more likely to embrace parenthood than women, as women with this placement can come across as strict or cold, influenced by Saturn’s restrictive energy. However, the unpredictable nature of Uranus can lead to sudden changes in their parenting style, making it challenging to maintain consistency.
☾𝒫𝒾𝓈𝒸ℯ𝓈 ℳℴℴ𝓃
Pisces Moons are likely to want to be parents because they have an abundance of unconditional love to give. They seek a place where this love can be expressed, and they often feel that the innocence of a child is most deserving of their compassion, empathy, and care. Pisces Moons are deeply sensitive beings, and they tend to want to connect with their children on a profound level, getting into their children’s minds and hearts. For many Pisces Moons, the desire to be a parent feels like a natural extension of their loving, giving nature.
However, for some Pisces Moons, especially those who have experienced significant struggles, such as being escapist, dealing with addiction, or struggling with practicality in life, the desire to be a parent may not emerge. If a Pisces Moon is in a state where they feel lost, neglected, or stuck in a cycle of despair, they may not want children. In these cases, they might recognize that they cannot offer the stability or care a child needs, and the idea of neglecting a child would weigh heavily on their conscience. While Pisces Moons naturally have a strong inclination toward parenthood, when they are in a difficult space, it can make it hard for them to desire or pursue that outcome.

Californication
Summary: You and your best friends dad commit sin on family vacay.
Pairing: no-outbreak! Joel Miller x Fem!Reader ’Cara’
Wc: about 3k
Warnings: The age gap is girthyyyy (Joel is 40-something, reader is 18), dirty themes, smut, read at your own risk, inappropriate jokes.
Notes: It’s my first fanfic posted on this account so please be nice, also english is not my first language so sorry for any typos, also you decided to read this so don’t complain about the age cap, it’s legal guys…
The sky is bleeding shades of gold and orange over the navy blue early morning shade, only a couple of stars still visible from the night before. You shift in your bed uncomfortably, not having been able to sleep almost the entire night, mostly due to pure excitement. Luckily, your alarm sounds, and you get up to turn it off. 7:01, you manage to make out as your eyes adjust to the morning hue. You gather your honey-blonde hair and tie it up, so it's out of your face. As you retrieve your phone from charging on your bedside table, you see 4 new messages from Sarah, your best friend since grade school, right when you moved to the suburbs from New York.
You love Sarah, you have from the very first moment you met her. When you had just moved to a new house, and you felt all blue until you saw a beautiful blonde girl about your age in the yard next to yours-- wearing denim overalls with flowers on them, reading a book and eating a strawberry popsicle. She saw you looking through the window, and yelled to ask you whether you wanted a popsicle too. Sarah was an angel-- unfortunately, you were the fucking devil, especially when it came to Sarah's father.
Joel Miller-- You had begun to notice his appeal in the seventh grade, right around the time you started feeling things while watching that one scene in titanic. When you happened to scrape your knee outside Sarah's house and Joel had to patch you up. He lifted you onto their bathroom counter and placed a hello kitty band-aid on your knee, while looking up at you with his dark brown, captivating eyes and giving your knee a kiss. He told you that you were such a good girl for being so brave. You, being a horny 13-year-old, thought about that for months. He was your sexual awakening.
And now you're 18, still not able to look at him without your face growing hot, and your knees nearly giving out, going on spring vacation to Palm springs with your parents, Sarah, and Joel.
“Cara, are you up? We're leaving in two hours, with or without you!”
You hear your mom's perky voice yell from downstairs, she can be quite dramatic. But you wouldn't change her for anything.
“Yeah, mom!”
You quickly gather yourself and make a mental note to not think absolutely anything dirty about Joel 'sex god' Miller while on vacation. You answer Sarah's anxiously worded texts about what to pack for the vacation, and whether she can wear a bikini or will your mom think it's too whorish. The thing you love about Sarah is how much she thinks about stuff, she knows your mom loves her, and still, she's worried. You tell Sarah not to worry, and that you'd already packed, because you can think ahead too. You move onto picking an outfit for the trip.
It has to be something cute, but not too cute so my parents don't get suspicious-- but Joel has to like it.
You think to yourself, and then go on to curse yourself for thinking about Joel, and what he might like. You need to get yourself together. He's like 40, not to mention your best friend's father. You settle on some classic Levi's 501 shorts and a white Brandy Melville long sleeve, because the morning dew can cause a chilliness in the air. You decide on no makeup, and to wear your hair down, unstyled. You hurriedly grab the last of your things, phone charger, bikini-- a book.
Furthermore, you grab a Red Bull from the fridge quickly before you make it down to the driveway. Sarah's already sitting in the backseat of your moms gray sedan, and Joel's loading up their stuff. You feel weak as you see Joel, he's wearing a black t shirt that shows off his sweat glazed biceps and that damn cross necklace hanging around his neck. God-- there's something in you melting right now, and it is not from the heat outside.
“Hey darlin', need any help with that?”
Joel asks, in his low voice, smooth like whiskey, topped with the most charming southern drawl imaginable.
“Uhm, yeah! Thanks, Mr. Miller.”
You smile at him as you hand over your suitcase, trying to paint your face with an attractive smile, it is probably coming off as shy and adolescent if anything. Joel smiles back, the kind of smile that could stop traffic, and he pats you on your lower back, his hand lingering there for a second too long to be considered innocent. Even after he lets go, the heat of his big hand lingers there.
“It's no problem, a pretty lil' girl like you shouldn't be doin' heavy lifting, go on sit down, Sarah's in the car already.”
You go in the car, ready to blame the heat for your fiery crimson cheeks if it comes up. You hug Sarah excitedly and your parents carry the rest of the stuff to the car. You almost choke on your Red Bull as you see Joel opening the back door and motioning you to sit in the middle so he can fit in the back. Reluctantly, you move to the middle seat, as close to Sarah as possible, so you don't accidentally brush up against her smoke show of a father and go even more red than you knew to be humanly possible.
---------
After a long 5-hour drive of sitting next to Joel as still as you could, avoiding sliding closer to him during bumps in the road, and trying not to look at the slight bulge in his shorts. You were exhausted. You were so aroused and embarrassed, you feared that in the span of 5 hours Joel had noticed your horniness, had thought it was super gross, and had somehow telepathically told your parents about it. You were pulled out of your thoughts as the car came to a stop in front of a gorgeous white beach villa and Joel patted your thigh.
“Finally here, bet you're dyin' to stretch those legs, huh?”
He fucking knew. And now you needed to find the nearest hole in the ground and bury yourself in it. You just let out an awkward laugh as he got out of the car, and tried to console yourself.
He doesn't know anything, you are being paranoid.
You and Sarah managed to get out of the car, and you almost dropped your phone when you saw it.
“There's a huge fucking pool!”
You yelled in utter shock and excitement.
“Watch your mouth, young lady!”
Your dad yelled from behind the car. You and Sarah just laughed as you ran inside the villa, the tile floor freezing in contrast to the scorching hot air, you ran to the biggest bedroom and claimed it for you and Sarah. There was a huge king-sized bed laying in the middle of the room with expensive looking white sheets, and pillow mints set on the pillows.
“I could get used to this.”
You exclaimed, joking with a certain sense of indifference, as you unwrapped the pillow-mint. Sarah only laughed and said something about her dad, before he appeared in the doorway with our bags.
“Speak of the devil.”
Sarah said.
“You were talkin' 'bout me?”
Joel asked, a smug smile on his face, as he set our bags down with ease. The veins in his forearms prominent as his muscles bulged. He was strong, like-- incredibly strong, those bags weighed a lot, and he lifted them with not as much as a grunt. His rich dark brown hair fell over his eyes and he pulled it back with his hands, revealing some gray salt and pepper hairs underneath.
“Yeah, Cara was saying how embarrassing you were in the car.”
Sarah said nonchalantly, rolling her eyes and smiling at you. You were horrified. First of all, you were already terrified of Joel and now the fact that he probably thought you disliked him.
“I didn't say that! I-”
You defended yourself frantically, until Joel interrupted you.
“Sure you didn't, you lil' troublemaker. Your dad 'oughta teach you a lesson about respectin' adults.”
He joked. You couldn't say anything back, just stare at him as he turned to leave the room.
“Gosh, my dad's embarrassing.”
Sarah complained.
“No he's fine.”
You said quietly. Joel's jokes sounded like normal jokes to everyone else, but if you were a horny 18-year-old avid dirty book reader, his jokes always had a dirty undertone to them. Like that one time he suggested he bend you over and spank you for stealing some of his beers with Sarah. His words always had an effect on you, and sometimes you felt like he was doing it on purpose. Although every time he joked, you tried to hide behind your shy, enigmatic personality and not reveal that you had just gotten hornier than ever.
You had all settled in by the time the sun was starting to set, your parents had gone out for a walk and Sarah wanted to go scout the surrounding area for shops and things to do. So you were alone at the villa-- with Joel. You hadn't dared to leave your room yet, but your stomach was begging you to go get food already, and you had no other choice. So you gathered your courage and went into the kitchen, Joel was nowhere to be seen. You opened up the fridge to see a tuna sandwich, and came to the conclusion that it was probably for the road trip, and you could eat it now. So you took a bite, and felt someone's eyes on you, you turned around to see Joel wearing only his swimming trunks, hair soaking wet, and his abs glistening, as he dried them with a white towel.
“So... now the naughty girl is stealin' sandwiches too, huh?”
He accused you playfully, while dragging the towel across his body lazily, as if trying to torture you.
“What? I- I didn't know this was yours-”
You were quick to defend yourself.
“Relax, Cara.”
He said, a sly smile painting his beautiful face. The way your name rolled off his tongue felt like a direct attack to the tough exterior you were trying to keep up around him, and it went straight to your core.
“I'm jus' jokin' with you, you're always so tense around me, why is that?”
He asked, his voice remaining velvety smooth.
“Uhm... no, I'm not.”
You tried to sound convincing, you didn't. The way you fidgeted with your shirt hem and always slightly lowered your head when you spoke to him, suggested that you were genuinely afraid of him. But you weren't, just head over heels in lust. Wrongful lust.
“You jus' seem nervous is all... is everything all right?”
He asked as he walked slowly closer, like a predatory cat, he was a tall man, well over 6 foot. As he got closer, he started to tower over you in an intimidating but undeniably attractive manner. His build was strong, he looked like a man who could throw you across the room and not break a sweat.
“I'm not nervous.”
You lied. He looked at you knowingly, like a teacher who had just caught you cheating and was about to embarrass you in front of the entire classroom. He brought his big rugged hand to your forehead and made a caressing motion, you were confused until he held his hand to the light and confronted you.
“You're sweatin', and it ain't even that hot in here, you're also red as a beet.”
He smiled, having caught you in a lie. You were about to say something, but he stopped you.
“You know, lyin's not nice-- only bad girls lie.”
“What are you, my father?”
You clapped back, soon to realize that was a mistake. Because he placed his hand on your chin gently, but in a way that was meant to intimidate you, and forced you to look straight in his dark, scary eyes.
“No, and you're damn lucky I ain't, cause I'd sure as hell punish you for lyin' to me, make you respect your daddy.”
Your eyes widened in shock, and you could feel the familiar redness rising to your cheeks. He dropped your chin and laughed a hearty laugh.
"Listen, kiddo, I'm jus' messin' with ya.”
“Oh!”
You let out a breath you hadn't realized you'd been holding and tried to shake off your dirty thoughts.
He didn't say anything sexual, you are just a weird ass dirty minded virgin.
“And I'd work on hidin' your emotions better. Gettin' all worked up by your best friend's father callin' himself daddy-- you are one sick puppy.”
His crude words should have disgusted you, you should've felt gross or violated or something, but you didn't. All your feelings were overpowered by one. Complete intoxicating arousal, purely from his words. You didn't have a lot of time to gather yourself when you heard the door and saw Sarah walking inside with something in her hands.
“What do you have?”
You asked, curious. Sarah held the items up, and you could make out two bagels and two diet cokes. You smiled like you had just seen a million dollars.
“I love you so much!”
You screamed as you ran for the bagels.
“I thought you'd probably be starving, I found this cute ass little café down the road.”
You took the bagels and headed to your room. Feeling extremely guilty about what had happened with her dad just moments prior, how could he just say something so-- vigorous out of nowhere, and now you had to pretend it didn't happen. You placed the bagels on the bed and changed your denim shorts into your comfortable pink Hollister mini shorts, you took out your MacBook and scrolled endlessly, trying to find something for you both to watch.
“Can we watch The Kardashians?”
You asked Sarah, she just nodded a quick yeah and bit into her bagel. You watched the show until it was very late, the sun had set completely, and the only sound throughout the house was the quiet hum of an air conditioner. Sarah was half asleep, you had almost forgotten about the whole thing with his dad already.
It's fine, you were just reading too much into it, he didn't mean anything by it.
You were way too in your thoughts to go to sleep, so you decided that a little midnight swim could do you good. You changed into a tan Burberry bikini and retrieved a white towel from your closet, and made your way to the massive pool. The air felt warm, the night had brought a cold breeze, but the heat of the day still lingered in the air, almost like a memory. The water was warm, it was sitting there day after day in the heat, so it had gathered some of it. You could easily just go all the way in, it felt heavenly-- After having swam a couple of laps you lifted your head out of the pool. You almost drowned when you saw Joel, crouched by the side of the pool, staring at you and smiling.
“Fuck! You scared me!”
You screamed at him. Coughing out some water you had accidentally swallowed when you saw him.
“Sorry... was jus' enjoyin' the view.”
He said, smugly. You decided that if he wanted to play games, you would play along. You splashed him with water so his sweatpants and white tee got soaking wet, and smiled at him-- challenging him.
“Whoa! Kitty's got claws... But you ain't a brave girl.”
“Why's that?”
You asked, swimming closer to him and holding onto the border of the pool, inches from him. The light of the moon reflected on you from the water. The air smelled like smoke, brittlebush, and chlorine.
I probably look fucking ethereal right now.
You thought to yourself, feeling confident, trying your best to give Joel 'fuck me' eyes, something you'd learned while reading one of your grotesque books.
“You know I can't come in that pool, you're hidin' out 'cause you know you shouldn't challenge me.”
If there was ever a time to be courageous, this was it. You lifted yourself out of the pool slowly, Joel observed you with a slight sparkle in his eye. You got out of the pool and slowly walked over to your towel to dry yourself off. Joel laughed a low, hearty laugh.
“I guess I was wrong.”
He said, holding his hands up in defeat.
“So, what are you doing up this late?”
You asked him, party curious, partly trying to relieve the tension.
“Oh, well darlin' if I told you I'd be considered a dirty, bad man. Let's jus' say I couldn't sleep.”
To be continued.

What’s your preferred way of portraying lycanthropy and werewolves in your works & media?
For me I love having lycanthropy being like a chronic illness. Having it be a serious, but manageable condition that werewolves must deal with in their daily lives. The symptoms and transformation causing them a lot of inconvenience/ stress/ and if ill managed serious risk to their health and those around them. But it’s not a death sentence or condemnation, a werewolf can live a safe and fulfilling life as long as they manage their lycanthropy properly.
As for their wolf form, I like my werewolves more akin to a dangerous wild animal rather then a bloodthirsty murder machine. Their wolf form can be hazardous but isn’t beyond reproach, attacks being avoidable as long as the werewolf isn’t antagonized or threatened. And one of the big things I like to focus on is that a unrestrained werewolf is a bigger risk to themselves then to others, as in their animalistic state their prone to getting into dangerous situations like getting hit by cars or shot by Hunter or law enforcement.
For me it depends entirely on the kind of story I'm telling!
I like your approach, I think it would work particularly well in an urban fantasy setting that isn't too dark, but still grounded in realism.
For my generally lighthearted fiction, I usually prefer writing werewolfism as something genetic that people are born with, that is neither a curse nor an infection that can be passed on. This allows me to dive into ways to manage living as a werewolf without all the fear and tragedy:
Like parents advising kids on clothes that are good to wear around the full moon.
And werewolf families having pack instincts that include humans.
Or human parents adopting a dog to keep their werewolf kid company.
While I do sometimes write werewolves that can transform at any time at will (because it's funny) I do think that weakens the werewolf-ness of it all a bit. Loss of control and animal instincts are a big part of the appeal of werewolves for me and shifting because of the moon (or because of strong emotions) belongs to that. But how the transformation works and how in control they are once in wolf form, again depends on the type of story I'm telling:
So I might write a werewolf that can be taken by surprise by their transformation and end up locked in their apartment, looks fully animal, but does retain human intelligence.
Or a werewolf who has trouble changing back to human form if they get a little too lost in the wolf part while the moon is out.
Or a werewolf who gets progressively hairier and more wolflike the closer it gets to the full moon. (I'm very fond of this concept, because I get to have my wolfish human and my majestic fully transformed animal.)
Or a werewolf that starts shifting just a little when she gets a little too distracted by her girlfriend because emotions and instincts get tangled up.
But all my werewolves are generally mostly non-violent (unless provoked) and not murderous, even if their animal instincts tend to take over from the humans side sometimes. While I appreciate that a complete loss of control and (threat of) violence is a big part of werewolves for many people, it's just not something I enjoy writing. I also think that side of werewolf stories fit better with the "lycanthropy as a violent infection or curse" concept.
And the only time I've written a werewolf that was infected and considers the transformation a curse was for a fanfic, because my friend and I needed an excuse for copious angst and hurt/comfort that could slowly be turned into self-acceptance and happiness~

Yeah no I don't agree at all. I supported her and Harris's campaign was still pretty bad. Pandered to conservatives while alienating leftists who might have actually voted for her. In fact, I'd say the well has been poisoned with her symbolizing a broken status quo even worse than it was for Hillary. Like I still think there was foul play with the voting machines but the fact is even if the race was closer than the news made it look, 50-50 is still too close for comfort.
The democracy is over. It was over before 2024. I still think people who can't be bothered to vote are jackasses because I mean what harm does it do, but liberal capitalist democracy is dead and Trump killed it.
If progressives want to get back on top, we're going to have to pivot hard to a socialist platform.
We need someone who talks like Bernie but younger.
Someone charismatic with mass appeal. Because at this point campaigning and governing are two completely separate skill sets and it's hard to find someone who can do both. I think we're going to see more and more successful demagogues coming out of the entertainment sector in the next few decades. It might be time to accept that puppet regimes are just how things get done these days.
Preferably a woman of color.
Just taking a shot in the dark, Jessica Williams maybe? She's over 35. The Daily Show's been waning in popularity, but it's still one of the deeper benches we've got as far as household names. Americans are dumb and they want an "outsider" (read: celebrity) more than they want someone who has experience. It gives them the illusion of a fresh start.
I just know running Kamala again would be a bad idea. Or at least she'd need a radically different platform. And I mean "promising to execute Dick Cheney instead of seeking his endorsement" different.
You know nobody can predict the movement of the tides but I do think that if she is willing to run in 2028 Kamala Harris has a pretty good shot at winning. Because apart from the types who would blame the Democratic party if an asteroid hit the Earth nobody seems to think it was her fault that she lost and if there's one thing about the American public it's that they are terminally irrepressibly nostalgic and they might associate her with the good days of 2020 to 2024 you know once those days are allowed to be good again because I am also pretty confident that it is going to get worse than it has been since about 2022 over the next couple of years. Just a hunch. But I could be wrong. I've been wrong before I thought she was going to win well I thought she had a pretty decent shot at winning.

Lucy internalized misogyny thoughts
Brought out by the first person narration
Very appealing to a target audience of young girls but shitty to read as an adult
POST FUCKING CANCELLED I LOVE YOU FOREVER HOLLY AND LUCY FRIENDSHIP
I absolutely adore the way in which Lucy truly comes to appreciate the ways Holly is different from her - once she begins to recognize the value Holly has she's able to stop pushing against her and that let's her recognize that, more than being a valuable team member, Holly and Lucy's differences actually make them a particularly strong pair.
By the end of the series it's moved past even a grudging respect, those two are friends!
And I love that this friendship develops BEFORE Holly makes it clear to Lucy that she was never a threat to her relationship with Lockwood - instead that's something that gets revealed to Lucy BECAUSE they've become friends. To some extent their clash was about him, but they really become friends despite him and his dumbassery.
Lucy still has her moments of internalized misogyny (that's life) but the book depicts that really fundamental experience of being 'not like other girls' and then learning that other girls kinda rule in their own way. Which feels so incredibly REAL as a former not like other girls girly. I actually think the Holly and Lucy arc is a really great depiction of female friendship, especially at their age.
#i had some mutual friends with the Popular Girlies TM in hs and ended up spending my free periods with them#and i was like YO WAS ANYONE GONNA TELL ME THESE GIRLS ARE SO NICE?#they were all absolute sweethearts and Im really glad i ended up getting to spend time with them!#my very own group of Hollys <3#not yr#lockwood and co#lucy carlyle#holly munro#found the start of this in my drafts. alas.

Ok I need to word vomit about show Lucy Carlyle as opposed to book Lucy Carlyle. Specifically her wardrobe. Here's a masterpost about the character descriptions in the books, but here's the long and short of it. In the books, Lucy has 3 described outfits:
1. skirt, leggings, padded parka (44) 2. pink and yellow nightie (145) 3. coat, roll-neck sweater, short dark skirt, leggings (169)
Granted, this appears to be just the first book so things may change with her wardrobe later in the series. (Personally I consider her wardrobe in the books to be a symptom of 'adult man writes teenage girl protaganist' syndrome) But in the show there are some notable changes I noticed that I 𝓪𝓭𝓸𝓻𝓮.
Firstly: Her pants. First, pants! She's actually wearing pants to jobs instead of leggings. Considering how much physical activity is required, it never made sense to me that she wore leggings and a skirt to hauntings. The fabric of leggins is too thin so they wouldn't be very warm. Second, a skirt? Lucy is a very practical character, it makes no sense that she would wear something that could get caught on something or grabbed.
But in the show?
Tactical pants.
The fabric is visibly thick and stiff, a lot like paramedic uniforms. (I'm most familiar with those so there might be better examples) Look at the thick waist, good for possibly having multiple belts or just the way the rapier hangs. I don't see any belt loops but that could be for quick belt release just in case. And the double zip-closed pockets are amazing for keeping gear secure and easily accessible, even if Lucy doesn't seem to be using them. She's probably wearing specifically tactical agent pants. God I love her pants so much, I need a pair.
Second: The jacket. In the books a padded parka or her coat are all very practical choices. But I understand costume designers want their main female character in more appealing-looking clothing or multiple outfits in important scenes for marketing purposes. And I LOVE the bomber jacket.
Firstly, it looks like insulated leather and the blue bits are wool. This is perfect because that gives her a fashionable but practical and warm jacket. The jacket being warm is important because of how often there are temperature drops on jobs, so she needs something to keep her warm. The leather makes it more durable so things thrown by visitors have less of a chance of hitting her. Wool is water repellent and leather is waterproof which in my brain means that ectoplasm wouldn't seep into the fibers and would mean it would have a harder time getting to her skin. Normally I don't like a cropped jacket BUT with how her rapier and other gear sits on her body, a cropped jacket makes all her stuff more easily accessible.
A few smaller details but I love how she has a thick, durable leather belt that would actually be good for holding all her gear. I also really like how she's wearing a knit sweater. Again, she needs to be warm on jobs and it was smart to layer underneath so you can still see the amazing jacket.
I love how the costume designers for the show actually took Lucy's personality into account when making her wardrobe. She has a short temper, she's no-nonsense. So they made her the most practically dressed for her job. It's incredible.

I really like the idea that steven proposing to connie was a parallel to rose wanting to have a half-gem/half-human child. steven was unwell and wanted to disappear into a fusion (stevonnie), which is pretty much what rose did bc steven is sort of a fusion of rose and greg (although what rose did was more extreme of course). rebecca has alluded to it before:
In the room, we really had to sit down and say, “Well, what? What does Steven want for his future?” It was a bit of a puzzle as much for us as it is for him as a character, but in the end, we all thought, well, he’s gonna want to get married. That would definitely be his dream—he loves weddings and he loves love.
But also, we were just looking at the state he was in, and we knew that with Connie having so much figured out and with Steven not really spending that time to figure out what he wants, that disappearing into their relationship would be really appealing to Steven. A lot of his behavior in Future is not unlike his mother’s behavior before him.
io9: He’s like Pink that way.
Sugar: He is, but again, he’s being himself."
—Rebecca Sugar Opens Up About How Healing from Trauma Shaped Steven Universe Future
now what I dislike is when people try to make rose's decision about ship wars. "oh so rose chose greg over pearl" rose commiting suicide isn't the same thing as choosing greg. the crystal gems and greg were left behind and she loved all of them. she did love greg very much but having steven wasn't something rose did "for greg" or because "she loved greg more than anyone else". she was an unwell person and her support system (both greg and the gems) failed her.

SWTOR: Sith Inquisitor OC Headcanons
Hi everyone! This is the third time I've completed the Sith Inquisitor storyline and the first time I've running the DLC KOTFE/KOTET. So, in order to save and maybe share my vision of my character in the game, I have compiled a list of headcanons :Р
Noted: i'm not a native speaker of english and all this headcannons runs only in my mind, so don't take them too seriously pls
Spoiler alert under the cut (and a few screenshots from a game too)
Sith Inqusitor OC Headcanons
Meet Ha'leth Kallig, Darth Nox, Alliance Commander and so go on. The Sith on dark side, but making a bunch of "light" choices just becouse they profitable (and she's reasonable)
Woman sith inquisitor (oh i love so much her voice ❤)
So... i imagine she's much older, than in canon. Like if all story classes starts mid Cold War between Republic and Empire, i think my version have a seat in a dark council in the mid of war (near 3670, 11 years after Sith returns Korriban) Yes, its breaks the timeline, but she is old pretty lady in my head, and i can't change this
I can't create the proper version in game (a lot because its no long flat hairstyles) so i have a few pictures
Fashion lady 💅 Usually wears a long dress with slits, mid-thigh boots, mid-shoulder gloves and a cape. Sometimes changes to something close to a "hakama" (if you've watched the Ahsoka series - Morgan Elsbeth wears something similar). Maybe someday I'll draw all of this
Had a purple sword during acolyte, serving Zash and hunting Thanaton, now she has white (cos of her "balance")
I guess she really cares about her crew, even if she is on a dark side. Alliance included
Continues to search for Force Ghosts, there is no reason why the Sith Lord would not do this after defeating Thanaton "SI to Valkorion: - I always hoped to add your spirit to my collection Valcorion: - I would say the same"
Space stand up comedian, jokes on everything, black humor and sarcastic
DiFfErentLy RaTioNal, "Hippity Hoppity, this ghost is now my property" (c) - during the original storyline
Ice cream lover, of course
Chill guy vibes sometimes
I think it was a long time since she became a member of the Dark Council and before the Eternal Empire attacked. And all this time the pyramid of ancient knowledge was under her control and I think she learned a lot about the philosophy of the Sith, ancient techniques, etc.
Yes, in my story she is the leader of the Alliance, despite the fact that other forse-user characters (Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Sith Warrior) in my headcanons also take part in it
I think she is definitely chaotic but rational in managing the alliance. I haven't reached the end of the story yet, but in my mind she is the perfect candidate for the Eternal Throne.
She is not human anymore. Not after the Rakata machine changed her. I think sometimes she would appeal to this in her dialogues with other characters. In my head - this is another reason why she at 60+ looks at most 30
Did I not say? At the time of the events of KOTFE she should be somewhere around 63))
Definitely likes big machines)) (i'd like to think that exposes for Darth Malgus too 🤣)
Definitely likes ancient stories, artifacts and history.
"Oh dear", "Sweetheart" and any other embarrassing appeal for literally everyone
Flirts with everything that moves (and what doesn't move, she moves and flirts with) (Ah, i can't wait to return of Malgus further on in the plot, because flirting with him is something she would definitely do in every interaction)
Return to Dromund Cass to be shot down in Empress Acina's shuttle and crash into the jungle: "Ah, at least the Sith Empire hasn't changed too much in my absence"
Well, according to canon, all four force-user characters are the most powerful force-users in the galaxy. But considering that Valkorion is sitting in the Commander's head + her additional "ghosts of the Sith Lords on the wire" make her, if not the strongest, then at least the most dangerous of them by the end of the story
As I said before - all headcanons are just part of the story in my head that i want to share cos sith inqusutor is my favorite story) I think I'll definitely post a couple more heads up about her or heads up about other SWTOR characters later (at least when I finish the story) I also plan to sketch a couple of moments, because I really want to

Some thoughts on love, changing the world, co-dependency and commander Caitlyn
I watched this youtube video, “Understanding Vi”. I think it makes a pretty good case for why Vi falls for Caitlyn and what the appeal, the draw of the relationship is for her.
youtube
Looking at some of the other vids on the channel, I got the impression that there is focus a bit on ships that would actually be working and healthy in a real life way, couples whose personalities and goals and stage in life are a good match.
It made me look at CaitVi a bit under that light, and also what Amanda might have been thinking when she forged them.
I’m personally a big subscriber to the whole “shipping something doesn’t mean that the characters are perfect or that the relationship is perfect just that you think there’s a good story there”. And I vibe with that a lot. I can want to see characters interacting or just what the interactions would tell me about a character I like, even if I think the relationships might end in breakup or death and murder eventually. At the same time, not everybody ships like that or ships like that all the time.
It can be a particular type of comfort ship to look at your ship and just feel like things will be alright for them. That no matter what happens they’ll support each other and they’ll still be together when they are old and gray. And for that you do have to write the characters as just being very stable with each other.
[speaking of which, maybe that’s just the Zaundads shipper in me, I have seen quite a bit of hot CaitVi art of course and quite a bit of CaitVi if they met as kids, but are there any good arts of them growing old together/spending their life together? I know League means they will forever be frozen like that, but I think for a bit them with the first traces of gray hair could be lovely, especially if as part of a chain of arts with them also being younger]
I think CaitVi can work like that, two people who genuinely like each other, who want to make it work and who overall have enough self discipline that they can make it work despite any conflicts that might rise up.
Looking at the plot, I do feel like CaitVi got shafted a little bit in season 2, for my tastes, my priorities, because if you look around, it feels like with most of the other ships they have a measurable effect on the plot. Zaundad reuniting is the reason why the AU is like that according to the writer’s statements, Ekko stops Jinx’s suicide attempt, Jayce talks Viktor down from destroying the world, timetravel Viktor is the reason that Jayce became interested in magic.
And no, I’m not saying that CaitVi has no effect on the plot. In season 1 it is very clear, Caitlyn is Vi’s “bridge” to Piltover, their connection is why Vi and Caitlyn are standing in front of the council trying to make a case for Zaun, their connection is also the reason for a lot of conflict and misunderstandings between Vi and Jinx.
And even in season 2, her love for Cait is clearly the reason why Vi joins up with the enforcers or why she lets herself be handed over to Ambessa.
But now we get to the actual meat of what I want to talk about. I know there are a lot of jokes about “Vi calls Cait cupcake and fascism leaves Cait’s body”. And here it goes: I don’t think that that’s true because Cait was pretty half-hearted about fascism anyway.
And this is not to say Caitlyn is not to blame for the things she did as Commander Caitlyn or before. Heck, especially if you knew on some level that it was wrong makes it extra questionable in its own way. But that’s just genuinely how I read Caitlyn as a character. From her point of view there two big candidates for “for love” decisions:
turning on Ambessa
letting Jinx go
But both of these to me seem like they are in general alignment with what Caitlyn is feeling in this situation anyway. Which doesn’t mean that Vi isn’t a factor in the mix of Caitlyn’s motivations. But that she isn’t the only one and that I can picture worlds where Caitlyn makes roughly the same choices even if Vi wasn’t around.
Caitlyn doesn’t fight to become commander. It gets offered to her without any pushing on her side, it basically falls into her lap. We skip forward in time and she is already doubting that it’s a great idea in her scene with Maddie. I feel like her doubts grow in the scene with Singed. IMO Caitlyn was (1) never that gung-ho for commandering from an ideological point of view, she was willing to do it and ignore her own doubts for the big goal of “catching Jinx”. And yes maybe she was curious about Ambessa. (2) she was already out with half a foot when she meets Vi again and Vi gives her the opportunity to jump ship.
Similarly, letting Jinx go, I feel like Caitlyn understands that she needs to let go of her hate. That’s what her scene with Jinx is about. Maybe in a world without Vi Caitlyn wouldn’t have been able to bring herself to the point of actively letting Jinx go/unleashing her on the world again even as she understands that she needs to let go of Jinx/her hate for Jinx. But I think she at least heavily would have thought about it.
I think from a ship point of view? You want your ship to be powerful, you want it to have a ripple effect on the plot, you want it to shape the world. But from a relationship point of view? It’s probably better and saner if the people involved are put together enough that they can fix themselves before hooking up and are not co-dependent on each other for not going evil or not offing themselves.
From a relationship point of view, it’s probably better that Caitlyn doesn’t need Vi to develop doubts about Ambessa and that Vi doesn’t need Caitlyn to pull her out of her self destructive spiral from the beginning of s2a2. Because if they have the strength to pull themselves out of their dark places it makes them more ready to have a healthy and sane relationship and choose each other because this is what they want.
There’s a romantic appeal to co-dependent characters who absolutely need each other, but from a relationship POV? It’s probably better to … not be like that. That Vi and Cait do have things in their lives and parts of their personality they want to explore before they return to each other.
(that said, I do hope CaitVi fandom is full of “Commander Cait can’t live without Vi and decides to sneak into Zaun to watch Vi fight undercover, after having seen the posters, or just having heard the reputation, or runs into her accidentally while doing a raid on the club. Because while from an intellectual point of view I totally get why it’s probably better that Vi pulls herself out of her hole, for my shipper tastes, yeah I totally want Cait to see Vi at her lowest and it gals me that in canon Jinx is sneaking into Vi’s fights to check on her and not Cait)

Wijdan Jawaher (@wejdan21) and her family from Gaza desperately need your help. Do not ignore them and do NOT scroll pass.
They are a family of five who urgently need to get the basic necessities to survive in Gaza.
Wijdan is a mother with 5 children; Baraa, Mahmoud, Suhaib, Layan, and Hanan. She lost her husband, as he was captured by the IOF during displacement. So now she raises her kids alone.
Because of the Zionist occupation, they have lost their livelihood, and their home was destroyed.
They have to face the bitter cold because their tent is so frail and therefore cannot shield them from weather conditions. Wijdan has told me that her children are practically shivering from how terribly cold it is, that her children are being put through hunger—starving and craving for food. But, devastatingly, she doesn’t have the money to buy them food. She needs donations to afford the costly food prices in Gaza so that she can feed her children.
Please, help them out in any way that you can. Reblog, share, and donate. Every donation, regardless of the amount, means everything. It means helping a family survive. It means helping those in need. Every contribution is important and you can make an outstanding difference. Even if it’s just a little bit that you can give, you can still make an everlasting impact.
As of Wednesday Jan 8, €2,591/€10k has been raised.

Rosalie Hale having a crush on you
*-*-*
- Honestly ? You would not understand she had a crush on you at first, not at all. Not with the way she was staring- no, glaring your way.
- It would be worst if you were a man, due to obvious reasons, but all together, as long as you're human you win a blondie glaring at you.
- You didn't understand why she was glaring at you. It was obvious that your silly little would be unrequired. Rosalie is, by any standard, the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world, of course she wouldn't be interested in you ! But did she have to look at you like that ? Were you this ugly you grossed her out..?
- Well you are 100% wrong, lovely ! If she is staring at you with tightly squinted eyes like she's ready to scold you for existing, is because she is confused out of her mind.
- Why are you so pretty ? No, she met 'pretty' humans, but none of them caught her attention like you did. Rosalie would stand by her siblings in the parking lot just trying to figure out why the f*ck she couldn't stop looking at you.
- She's not as dramatic as her brothers as to leave the goddamn country because of you, she is proud of her self control. Because at first that what she ended up believing : it was only your blood that appealed to her.
- For a few weeks it was enough of a reason for her. You didn't know if you should be thankful or disappointed to not have her gaze lingering down your figure but at least you didn't feel as body conscious.
- Rosalie would walk pass you in the hallway, in the cafetaria, just prove herself that she was perfectly in control. That what she felt toward you was just basic hunter instincts, which she was above of.
- But was it basic instinct when she felt a surge of protectiness spread through her chest when she caught a glimpse of werewolf leaning a bit too close to you for her liking.
- God was it hard to hold herself back. She tried to reason herself, that you were no one for her, she didn't even bother to know you're name. However, the simple thought that this vile beast might learn your name before was just plain offensive. She deserved to know.
- So, in her incredible elegance she strolled directly to stand next you and you swore you were hallucinating. You turned your attention from the young man and faced her.
- "Do.. do you need something..?" You winced at your own stutter.
- For just a second, she just stays there, taken aback by your scent. Rosalie always made sure to stay away from you, like you were the grinch or something. Anyway, she never had caught even a whiff of your smell. And thank god she didn't because otherwise she would have been whipped months ago.
- You looked so.. innocent, in a way. So confused, so surprised. Like a deer meeting face to face with a mountain lion. But the predator is so deeply wounded, guarded in a way no one could even close.
- But you didn't even want to get close, you didn't even know what she wanted. Neither did she. And the way you turned to her... she almost flinched back. Who are you, little deer, scaring so much ?
- And the way the question fell from her lips, the mix of the wariness and craving startled the both of you. "What's your name ?"
- From the moment you introduced yourself, she could never leave your side. Like immediatly glued to your hip.
- It was such a radical change you almost got dizzy and for a moment you thought you were dreaming.
- She cut herself from her family, not in a toxic way, more like a college student focusing on her studies. Rosalie gave you all of her time and attention. It was usual for her, especially for someone loving the spot lights the way she does.
- But... she felt like you deserved it.
- The first meals with her would be rather quiet. You didn't know what to say, how to say it. She was... beautiful, intimatingly so. So, Rosalie had to take the lead. Gentle questions, simple in a way to coax you into opening up to her.
- She seemed... softened. And it soothed you. It showed Rosalie as more human. It was strange for the both of you, for various reasons.
- You made her feel so good. She had longued to be human for so long, and here you are, quirky and awkward. You made her smile, you made her laugh, you made her protective.
- So protective. If you're a woman, even more so. Any men coming near you seemed to any bad attention, she would wrap a arm around your waist and immediatly lead you away.
- It was so little gestures that made you blush, that gave you even the smallest hope she liked you back.
- The way she would open the doors for you, reajust the clothes you were trying out or the way her hands lingered on your back as she zipped your dress up.
- And god the way she would work on your own car. She had smiled so smugly when she offered her help, and even more so when she got up, covered in slight soot.
- All those moments spent together meant the world to her. She loved your smile, she loved the way you were so human, so unaware of the danger lurking. Your fragility terrified her and rightfuly so.
- She never looked as beautiful as she does now, and you couldn't the slight rubbing of your thighs together as you watched her work.
- The time she fell truly for you was the time she played piano for you. She was not nearly as good as her brother. Actually, the reason she started to learn that instrument was to compete with her brother. But she wasn't as good, so when the melody got complex, the notes started to get crooked.
- It was a big step for her, showing you her flaws, sort of. The music didn't come out quite right, not as pretty as you thought it would come out from a majestic instrument. But you simply leaned your head on her shoulder, listening innocently, enjoying everything she is. Rosalie promised to herself you will never need anything, that nothing would ever hurt you.
- You had the odd hobby to walk through the forest, and the deepest parts too ! Rosalie had followed you around, without your knowledge (she is Edward's sister after all).
- And one day, the thought she dreaded the most occured. She had fallen a bit late and struggled to find you. And when she did, her frozen blood started to boil in her veins.
- Here you were cornered by a mountain lion, panting and stepping back as slowly as you could.
- No... you were her little deer. You were her lovely. No one. No, no one will take her piece of heaven away.

My god your tags about people thinking anders actions are bad because he killed innocents is something that's been on my mind lately. Because like, Anders spent 7 years in Kirkwall, seeing atrocity after atrocity, unable to do anything (he couldn't help Karl, or any other tranquil, the mage underground got busted) so when he finally decides enough is enough people NOW have a problem, but not with how mages are treated.
It reminds me of how like, when an IRL opressed group decides to use violence against their oppressers and people are quick to denounce them, without realizing that for many, violence is their LAST option bc they've tried EVERYTHING. And thats what it was for Anders. Meredith was just waiting for an excuse to annul the circle, and given Hawke discovered the blood mages, she would have done so regardless.
Yes! And he did try. He tried to appeal to those in charge, tried to gather evidence of the Templars' wrongdoings and take it to the proper authorities, he tried to educate the people on what was happening and why it was wrong, he tried to focus on saving individual people both by helping them escape and by healing those who needed it. He did everything right, for seven years, and nothing got better. It got worse! Anders has been shouting at people for years that people are suffering and dying every day and no one cared until the people dying were the ones in the Chantry explosion.
And yes, exactly! That's why the Anders stuff makes me so angry, because exactly, it's exactly the same IRL. People try to do things the "right way" and are dismissed and ignored, so they escalate things because they're desperate or dying and then they're denounced and told they should have done things the "right way".
#also yeah Meredith was 100% going to annul the circle one way or another#even if the blood mages thing hadn't been enough she would have found another excuse#anders was right#going back to my roots on this blog between the anders rants and that hashtag lol

"Oh yeah. Cycling, pilates, HIIT— that's high intensity interval training—, dance fitness, kickboxing, the list goes on," Aquata explained. She didn't love group classes, because she could get a bit weird and competitive and it was hardly productive to anyone. And the motivational speeches from the instructors tended to annoy Aquata. But she saw the appeal. "I can get you a schedule if you're interested. Some people really like them."
And Aquata didn't think there was anything wrong with that. Being a trainer had opened Aquata's eyes to how many different ways there were to move your body, and how different approaches worked for different people. Even if she, personally, thought cycling was an exercise in torture.
"Anyway, let's keep going. I'll bring you over to the locker rooms, but there are probably people getting changed in there, so you can go in there on your own later," Aquata said. "You can keep your stuff in there if you want, you've just got to bring your own lock if you want one. Or don't. I don't think we have a locker room thief problem or anything. But we're not responsible for lost or stolen items."

taash said "they were doing it" and people ran with the interpretation of an npc that doesn't know solas or the history of the elvhenan even when bellara interjected and said, no, that's not right. that's not how it was for the elvhenan. they formed bonds before they had physical bodies. and people ran to doompost or create weird anti-solavellan shit even though mythal & solas refer to each other as old friends and when she releases him there is no tenderness or love in it. it is the act of unchaining a dog from his post, the stepping down of a general. but to each their own ig.
#let the record show i think love was there. do I personally perceive it as romantic / sexual? no.#mythal's perception of love & care is warped in and of itself#i think they loved each other. but she loved what she could take from him and what he could give in terms of service#not because she was romantically into him#also i wish we knew more about her & elgar'nan. her regret prison form says she holds no love for him anymore#and it makes me wonder when that love soured. was it when she was blighted? before that? was that love also born of duty and companionship?#this is the last post i'm gonna make ab this i think#bc i believe people are too caught up in the modern western ideas of love as thing we give solely to our romantic partners#and we literally have a character go ”our perception is warped bc of the age we live in” and some of you are still being purposefully obtuse#and i think trick saying it's up to interpretation is basically admitting EA had them dumb down the game anyway#if everything ab the rise and fall of the evanuris in game#was condensed to five 2min cutscenes it says enough that whatever the writers wanted#was swiftly cut down by corporate dept. basically saying it's in the fans' court now#also bc it's an easy cop out around new players & non solasmancers who are indifferent ab him / dislike him#as a way to appeal thru a more sympathetic lense of look!! he loved and was led astray#not to mention the clear justinia / leliana parallels#and leliana gets angry if you imply she was romantically involved / in love w justinia#and the romance descr when you remake your inq saying the dread wolf could not predict what it would mean to fall IN LOVE#implying he had never fallen in love before or at the very least experienced a romantic love#also him saying drinking from the well would make you a slave and he gets really upset#yet ive seen takes of ”hes doing this for her cus he dgaf ab lavellan” ?? he got mythal killed when he told her ab the blight#whatever feelings of admiration he had for her have rotted. he is literally burdened by his mistakes and his choice in joining her#i feel like if i were a spirit bound and twisted into a weapon i would need my creator to tell me i am Free. i would need that closure#like when cole says its not abuse to bind him if he asks and solas said thats not always true???#if you perceive her interaction w him in vg third act as#anything more than the way justinia released leliana in inq then im sorry maybe youre just obtuse#solavellan#mythal#dragon age meta
