To say you were friends with the Morales twins was an understatement, you guys were unbelievably close, you were always with one or both of them, from the moment you guys were seen playing together by your parents in the playground when you were little to now.

Slowly but surely, you had gotten a lot little closer to milo, something about him being so mysterious had reeled you in, don't get it wrong you were still close with miles, milo just tended stay on your mind. I mean why wouldn't he be? he looked like he was sculpted by gods and blessed by Aphrodite.

As time grew miles started acting weird, he would cancel on your hangouts, abruptly leave during randoms times, wouldn't answer his phone and more. You had started to hate when he would do this without an explanation but at the same time you are thankful for it happening, because of him ditching you (and milo) you were able to get closer to the other brother, getting to know him on more than a friend level

he was always more reserved but with getting to know him more you were able to open up that hard exterior. With the hangout without his brother, he started to look at you in a different way. One day he had gave you a letter telling you to meet him at the rooftop of his apartment, when you got there laid Milo with flowers in his hand asking you to be his girlfriend.

That was two years ago.

you both had agreed to keep the relationship a secret until you decided you were ready to share the big news. "Mi vida?? are you listening??" Milo asked waving his hand in your face. "huh??" you gave him a questioning look. He rolled his eyes before smiling and pulling you closer to him. You had suddenly remembered where you were, the rooftop, where you and Milo go for privacy.

"I said.." he continued, grabbing your chin and making you face him. "Miles is catching onto us" he added. you pulled away from him "What?! How?" you questioned, He pulled down his hoodie showing you a kiss mark that you left on his neck, you pulled you hand to your mouth from shock. How could you be so careless?

"Why haven't you wiped it off?" you asked him quietly. "Because I like it ma, you could mark me more if you would like, sé que te gusta" he fixed his hoodie while smirking at you. "Shut up" you say smacking his chest, suddenly the door to the rooftop was open, you scoot a little bit farther from milo as you looked to see who was at the door. Miles. "Wassup yall" he said walking up to you both. "Hey man" you smile to yourself slightly relieved.

"Yo you wouldn't believe what i saw the other day, Milo had a big ass kiss mark on his neck, damn near looked like he was attacked by something." Miles exclaimed dramatically. "Nigga shut up" Milo huffed. "oh? this is true?" you asked Milo playing dumb, milo rolled his eyes at you but couldn't even hold back his smile. "Literally look at him cheesin mad hard" You and miles began to laugh. "So big bro when am I gonna meet this girl?" Miles asked putting his arm around Milos shoulder.

"You aint" milo replied taking his others halfs arm off of his shoulder. "bro, WHY? stop tryna be mysterious cuz your not that guy" miles folded his arms, "you must be confused, because i am HIM" miles replied.

you stood there with the most puzzled look on your face. "whatever" you said walking away from their nonsense. As you had opened the door to the Morales home, Ms. Morales greeted you. "Hey dear, where are the boys?" she asked while she was cleaning the table.

"On the rooftop arguing about who knows what" you replied, rubbing your temples as if you had a headache. she sighed before making her way over to you and wrapping you in her arms. "Youre the only one who keeps me sane" she said patting your head and you giggled at her "There not THAT bad" you said before letting go, she gave you a knowing look before you laughed again.

"I'm gonna be in the boy's room if you need me" you turned and walking away hearing an "okay dear" behind you. You walked in the room sitting on Milos bed scrolling through your phone for a couple of minutes before hearing someone one come in. "mi amor" miles sighed before flopping on top of you. "Ugh Milos get OFF!" you groaned as the man was crushing your windpipe. "Missed you ma, you didn't miss me?" he asked while peppering your face with kissed.

"How could i not miss my big baby?" your fake pout at him while he rolls his eyes, getting off of you, before you could say anything Milos lips were on yours with his hand cupping your cheek, you squeal from shock but nonetheless kiss him back with the same passion, now having your hands around him arms before pulling apart. As you open your eyes you see that Milos eyes are wide open from shock, you turn to see what he is looking at only to see his family staring back at you.

mmmmm right now im just thinking about hanging around LA with @zee-has-commitment-issues and @youngroyalsrewatch bc its probably my best memory from 2024 ;;;;

other than that, i was remembering silly stories from when my siblings and i were younger earlier today though a lot of those i remember as stories, not as actual memories :')

though..... here's one i love: when we were younger (i was maybe like... 11 or 12?) two of my sisters and i were watching Vampire Knight on a tiny TV in the room i shared with one of the sisters. and i was on the top bunk of the bed while they were on the bottom bunk. i had... i don't remember exactly, but some piece of trash that i wanted to throw away. the bunk didn't have a railing (by our choice, lmao, we COULD have had one, thankfully i never fell off while sleeping) so i just tried to lean off the edge to drop the trash in the trash can below. i hooked a foot on my mattress and LEANED. and then fell, bc the mattress suddenly bent. thankfully there was another mattress on the floor courtesy of sleepover rights, and i landed on that, but my sisters report that i looked like a rag doll, like i had completely given up the moment i started falling. but i was laying on the floor dazed as FUCK and my sisters were dying of laughter sdkfhsdjfh

it wasn't scary or upsetting then, it was just as funny then as it is to me now, thankfully skdfhshf but it's a memory i think about often when thinking about dumb shit my siblings and i have done :')))

and for the my choice im going with: ⛅- what is your morning routine?

i dont have one on the weekends bc it depends heavily on what im doing that day BUT! on workdays:

wake up from 5-5:10am (i have an alarm set for both times bc i like to have the extra 10min to relax before i actually NEED to get up! or to sleep for a few extra minutes cus it takes away the "5 more min" feelings)

get dressed for work

start my coffee (often includes washing my coffee cup from the day before)

bathroom

feed my cats

prepare my coffee (sugar, creamer, sometimes caramel flavor)

NEWLY ADDED: make a smoothie

gather my snacks + drinks for work, put them in my lunch bag

grab keys, wallet, put on shoes, grab lunch bag etc,

leave for work

by that point it is usually somewhere between 5:20-5:30am! which gives me plenty of time to get to work and get clocked in by 6am :) and then ofc the rest of the morning is just spent doing my job :'D

I have had a lot of privilege to have traveled a bit (within the US) as a kid, but when I was 23(ish?) I went on an almost 2 month long roadtrip around the US and across all of Canada. I’ve got to experience some really really awesome places!!!

The first place we ended up was Orlando bc this was not long after the Pulse nightclub shooting had occurred. We wanted to pay our respects. This wasn’t ‘fun’ but meant a lot to me.

I’m disabled so there was a lot I couldn’t do (even tho I was semi ambulatory at the time) But the things I was able to do were fantastic. Snoqualmie Falls in Washington (the state) and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. So many waterfalls can only be hiked to. I’m so thankful for this one! It was COMPLETELY wheelchair accessible!

I just loved driving in literally any of the mountain ranges, through west Canada is the most beautiful to me. (Yes their mountains probably have a name, I’m dumb now and can’t remember. lol) out of all of Canada I enjoyed Vancouver the most! Feels like my home city. The way it’s big but sprawled out a bit.

There was this cool city like an hour away from Seattle that is set up like a traditional (looking, at least) Bavarian village!! It was a lot of fun! My friend (and travel mate) seemed relieved to be getting food closer to what they’re used to (They’re German! If you see this, hi Milo!)

I actually kinda really enjoyed LA? There’s just SO many things to do. At the time we went to an exhibit called Body Worlds and it was downright the coolest museum in the world! It’s real human bodies who have donated their body to be preserved through Plastination. Basically there’s not much gore at all, it’s a type of plastic used to preserve things like vessels and nerves! There is some skin and organs, but again, not gory! No blood at all! Just so so fascinating!!

okay here is what I have to offer (pt 1) (totally not projecting anything)

so like a couple months into this whole situationship flirty friends-to-lovers thing brock and reader have going on he notices she starts to seem a little… off? she’s tired and not as chatty or funny as usual, never wants to come out with the group for drinks or even really make small talk with anyone etc etc and he’s in his head like is it me?? did I do something?? and maybe he makes a comment to her closest friend at the office that like hey… has she seemed weird to you lately?? and the friend is like yeah this happens every once in a while it’s just mental health stuff she deals with she’ll get through it but it kills brock to think of you going through something like that alone, he realizes he wants to be there for you not just when you’re making him laugh so hard he can’t breathe, and smiling that pretty smile at the dumb note he left on your desk, he wants to be there all the fucking time no matter what. so the next friday when you again turn everyone down for drinks and head home he’s just like, no, I’m going to Do Something. so he texts you (and maybe y’all have done this a few times but haven’t in a while bc … depression) and is like “hey wanna have a movie night tonight?? I can bring food over or come pick you up and we can grab something on the way back to mine?” and she’s like a little caught off guard bc she hasn’t really been much fun lately and was worried maybe she was losing him but she was too caught up in her depression/anxiety to really do something about it but she tells him to come over and he does and brings so much food and way more snacks than are required for one night because “hey I didn’t know what you’d want!” and they watch some cheesy rom com or something and slowly snuggle towards each other on the couch until she is like fully on his lap and she’s like “hey um, thank you for doing this, I’m sorry I’ve been a little distant lately” and he’s like “it’s no problem, I wanted to, (friends name) told me maybe something was up and I thought I could maybe make you feel a little better at least for one night” and she thinks she could kiss him and cry at the same time but they are not There yet so she opts to place a kiss on his like jaw/cheek and is like “you really didn’t have to do all this but it means a lot to me, thank you” and he just shrugs and says “I like doing things for you” and kisses the top of her head and at this point her heart is BEATING out of her chest and she pretends to check the time on her phone and is like “hey it’s getting kinda late, (it’s like 9:30 but if she doesn’t ask now she never will) do you wanna stay here tonight maybe?” and hes like I would love to but I can’t leave coolie and milo alone for the night, wanna come sleep at mine? and he’s like you can bring your dog and they can all have a sleepover too and she’s like oh we’re having sleepovers now? are we 12 year old girls? and hes like it was your suggestion missy and she’s like good point let me pack a bag and the whole drive to his place she’s giddy like she is a 12 year old girl going to a sleepover and she’s been to his place before but she’s never slept there let alone done All of This so when she goes to get out of the car she’s like wait oh my god what if he just feels bad for me what if he’s just doing all of this because (friend) told him I was depressed and he feels like he can’t say no but as if on cue he just goes “don’t move” and comes around to her door and opens it for her with a cheesy smile on his face and it makes her laugh and god he loves her laugh and then grabs her bag from where its sitting at her feet and holds his hands out to take her dog so she can get up (I’m imagining its like a fairly small dog that can chill on her lap, active enough to hike and whatever but not as big as brock’s dogs) and he hands her back the dog and takes her bag and leads her to the elevator and while they walk down the hall to his place she’s like “thank you for doing this, you really didn’t have to but I like spending time with you” and hes like “you think we’re having a sleepover because I don’t?”

pt 2:

and she giggles at his use of the word sleepover again and goes “I guess not” and he opens the door and milo and coolie come running up to them and he’s like “plus I knew they’d be excited to see you too” and she’s like “they’re probably more excited to see (her dogs name)” and hes like fine maybe a little of that too and then is like brb and goes to put her bag in his room and when he comes back he’s like “wine??” and how could she say no to that and they’re drinking and giggling and talking about their lives and her feet end up in his lap (this is a maroon by taylor swift reference obv) and his hand is on her knee and his thumb is rubbing back and forth and the lamp behind her is making her look like she has a halo and he sets his wine glass down and puts his other hand on her waist (does that make sense I can’t tell) and she’s like Oh it’s never been There before and and he goes (in his shy adorable suddenly nervous little way) “um hey?” and she quirks her head like “yeah?” and he says “can I kiss you?” and she bites back a smile and nods and he thumbs her bottom lip out from between her teeth and pulls her face towards his and kisses her so softly and kind of without thinking her hands are in his hair and neither of them wants to come up for air because god is this everything and she swears she doesn’t mean to but she tugs on his hair a little bit and she feels the hand that was on her knee come underneath her other one to pull her legs apart a little and she takes that as her cue to swing her leg over and straddle him which based on the situation she can now feel in his crotch area was in fact the right move but she has to break their lips apart to do it and she takes the opportunity to take in his messy hair and flushed cheeks and the smile that’s plastered across his face before he’s pulling her back in by her hips because how could he stop kissing her and they makeout a few minutes longer before they are pulled from their moment by the sound of barking and brock is too focused on the way her body feels pressed against his like this to care but she pulls away with a confused face before she looks around to see coolie at the door wanting to be let out to pee and turns back to brock who’s also now realized what’s going on and is letting out a dramatic groan and she throws her head back with a laugh at his theatrics before meeting his eyes and saying “we should probably do something about that” and he doesn’t miss the way she says “we” like it’s their place and their responsibility to let the dogs out before bed and he’s like “I guess we should yeah” and pats her thigh gently before helping her off of him and standing up and she starts to gather the wine glasses and figure out how to shut the tv off and he’s like “don’t do all that I can do it in the morning” and she protests like “well I will at least help you in the morning” and he’s like fine fine now put this on it’s cold out and takes his hoodie off and hands it to her and she’s like “won’t you be cold then” and he honestly had not considered it because he wasn’t really thinking about himself right now and he gets this cheeky smile on his face and goes “guess you’ll have to keep me warm then” and she just laughs and rolls her eyes again and their moment is once again interrupted by dogs barking, this time all three are getting impatient by the door and he’s like “yeah yeah we’re coming” and she slips the hoodie on and follows him outside and tries not to get too lost in the fantasy of this, him and her and the dogs, maybe a few kids later if she really wants to get ahead of herself, being the rest of her life

Confession: I used to be one of those antis who hated the Roguneto age difference and saw Gambit as the "correct" love interest. But then I got older and stopped thinking about things in black and white, I realized that Rogue doesn't give a shit since her two adopted moms also have an age difference. I think a lot of Rogue "fans" project their thoughts and desires onto Rogue instead of accepting some of the less stereotypical sweet "Southern Belle" image they like to compartmentalize her into (one reason why 80s Rogue is superior to 90s Rogue is she's a subversion of the stereotype instead playing it straight like the more palatable to general audiences 90s version of the character). Looking back, I like how the "I can't touch a man" problem was sorta resolved with Roguneto in AoA, so instead Rogue's character focus in that universe is being a team leader and going apeshit to protect her son instead of angsting over Remy and how she can't have sex with him.

First off I think that regardless of context concepts like the "correct" love interest are never good. I think that's just become more and more obvious over the years as fandom has become more toxic and more people feel comfortable calling you shit like an abuser for liking a "problematic" or hero/villain kinda ship. The ships are fictional, the people aren't. Who gives a fuck if people ship milo from atlantis and yzma from the emperor's new groove (yes this is a real ship i've seen) it's not my problem. Neither of us will gain or lose brownie points with a god or whatever because we shipped the right ship. Not an attack on you just my Thoughts because that's a common issue now in fandom that I know I certainly didn't see it at these scales when I was a teen.

It never occurred to me before how the age gap between Mystique and Irene would effect her perspective but that’s such a good and interesting point! We’re not clear on even when Mystique was born or how old she really was when she met Irene and we know Irene is like easily 100 when she dies. She and Mystique met in the late 1800s — even if you keep her dying in the 80s and don’t fudge around the timeline at all for the current date 1880 to 1980 is a century. Rogue was raised by geriatric lesbians. Idk WHAT this means for her psychologically or in how her love map got formed but it’s a Thing lol. I think the big takeaway really from being raised by mystiny is really that she expects a certain level of partner care and maturity and in syncness. Say what you want about Irene and Mystique as people but they’re absolutely an in love and loving couple. They’re totally in sync and have complete faith in each other, they’re each other’s rocks. Which ofc is why Mystique went so off the rails when Irene died.

There’s definitely a lot to be said about her expecting/needing/wanting a certain amount of maturity in her partner as a result of being raised by two older women in a very established relationship. Barring the dudes who’re born in test tubes (Longshot and Joesph) basically all her love interests are older than her by some amount. Even Remy is at least a few years older than her no matter how you pace out his life.

I tend to think worrying about age gaps in a society/world or whatever like comics is dumb when everyone in question is legal. Half of them are like 50+ by now (the 05 were teens in the 60s technically, xavier fought in the KOREAN WAR, etc), some are aliens, some are gods, some people got stuck in a time loop for like 2 years, some people where in another dimension for a while, etc etc etc. It’s more trouble than it’s worth to get up in arms about it when you’re not talking about adult/minor pairings. Magneto is like, 100 now sure. He’s also been de-aged like, twice, once that I remember to the point of being a fucking toddler again. This is automatically so fucking wild and impossible to map to anything real world you’re just gonna hurt yourself trying to comprehend the ramifications of that catastrophic life change on even how the fuck he STILL REMEMBERS HIS PREVIOUS LIFE AS AN ADULT AFTER THAT let alone his future relationships with anyone lol.

I think you’re very right about that. When you sit down and read Rogue’s comics through all at once the difference between her in the 80s and her in the 90s is wild and not in a good way. All the edges get knocked off of her, her morals become simplified, they gloss over her tense relations with the rest of the X-Men even more than they did before. She was created with the kind of character design slogan “the girl from the wrong side of the river” and it very much seems like few people remember that when writing or drawing her and I know why that is to some extent — stripping away her “problematic” nature (remember, Rogue DID stalk and attempt to murder Dazzler and did some other fucked up shit), stressing her more mainstream insecurities, removing her heavy metal/punk/butch interests and making her more in line with a 90s pinup girl in looks makes her more appealing and fuckable to the mainstream predominately male audience of comics. Alt girls are niche. She only got to get her tat sleeve and be a motorcycle mechanic and sing rock songs and be really wild again when Claremont takes her over again in X-Treme X-Men in 2001 and it really does feel like a breath of fresh air. She’s rough and coarse and rude again. She and Storm are at each other’s throats at times. She’s angry and she’s reckless and she’s funny and she’s you know That Bitch.

“Okay but characters change and grow, they kind of have to, and just because their creator intended them to be one way doesn’t mean they have to stay that way,” some will say and this is true! If we kept to the letter of the character creator’s intentions Cable would be boring as fuck and Shatterstar wouldn’t be pansexual. But here’s the thing—

Both of those Liefeldian monstrosities still to this day have maintained their “character slogan”, their Vibe, their Flavor if you will.

Cable is still a super douche with mega guns and 80 pouches who loves shooting things and is Edgy. He’s just better written now and has more depth. Shatterstar is still an American Gladiator made into a Real Gladiator clone boy thing who loves carnage and communes thru media lingo. He just sucks dick now. And is better written.

Note how this is not what happened with Rogue. Consider how LITTLE of her time in the 90s was say, about her conflicted feelings about her Still Evil Mom or her trouble really making friends in the X-Men because of personality differences or you know HOW HER POWER SUCKS THE SOUL OUTTA THEM or her love of mechanics or any of the other things that really only seem to crop up when it’s Claremont or someone taking notes from his characterization at the wheel. Her Character Vibe is “girl from the wrong side of the river joins a different paramilitary group for better healthcare”. THAT’S LITERALLY WHO ROGUE IS. THAT’S WHY SHE JOINED THE X-MEN. There’s absolutely room for growth here but that growth does not mean she has to stop having a mullet, or stop wearing studded belts, or stop being the other lovable unwashed mongrel in the house next to Logan.

But Possum Girl is not fuckable to most men so they don’t wanna write it and they don’t wanna see it and very few girls wanna see it because they can’t project themselves onto that. Also, misogyny— internalized or otherwise. Girls aren’t allowed to be ratty, loud, coarse, butch, aggressive etc etc etc. Rogue’s name is FUCKING ROGUE she’s NOT A SOUTHERN SWEETHEART that literally DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF HER.

Cable gets to keep his stupid fucking pouches and his grimdark 90s patina but Rogue’s gotta have BIG 90S BAYWATCH HAIR and wear DAISY DUKES LIKE THAT ISN’T FUCKING VICIOUS ENDANGERMENT OF EVERYONE’S LIVES all so she can be the sexy southern gal and spend the majority of the 90s hemming and hawing over the practical logistics of hopping on Remy’s dick as though that man doesn’t have enough working general sex and BDSM knowledge to tackle the logistical end of a hookup with her and instead of trying to WORK WITH HER ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES just kinda fucking pressures her like a 10yo boy demanding a kiss from his crush for a while there before someone fucking LET HIM HAVE BETTER WRITING. 80s Rogue (and a lot of 00s Rogue) Imo are the superior Rogues because she’s an alternative girl. We have PLENTY of more mainstream girls in the X-Men but we don’t have any really who are ratty and mentally unstable and metal/punk and cause issues and don’t always sync up totally with X-Men “philosophy” and who’re Really Okay with committing Lots Of Violence and who are like, AGGRESSIVELY not perfect.

Why they chose to live in fucking nowhere Mississippi and what their financial situation is and just— whatever the fucking deal with Mystiny while they raised Rogue aside — Rogue is created as a mentally ill at risk runaway youth living in a foster/adoptive home and is heavily coded as poor/white trash. Like, I get very baffled by what the fuck is going with her early childhood with Mystiny (there’s a LOT of conflicting info) but i tend to assume they're living middle-classish since you know Mystique got that $$$. But Rogue absolutely at least coded as a lower class rough and tumble girl in the 80s and that’s like….. actually very important????????? That’s huge????????? Especially since the X-Men are the Disenfranchised Minorities with Superpowers wonder show.

Now look at any 90s comics or 10s-20s comics and show me ANY issue where “white trash” or “raised by Mystique and Destiny” shines through. Didn’t find any did you? Yeah. Thought so. This is why they’re the shittiest eras of Rogue Comics.

Looking back, I like how the "I can't touch a man" problem was sorta resolved with Roguneto in AoA, so instead Rogue's character focus in that universe is being a team leader and going apeshit to protect her son instead of angsting over Remy and how she can't have sex with him.

Part of why I like Roguneto in general is we just generally skip all the gross borderline fetishist talk about how she can’t fuck because she’d kill a dude or whatever. Magneto fucks. He just DOES. You look at him and you go "oh this man FUCKS". We don’t need to spend time on the fucking mechanics of it — in fact to do so seems INSANE. OFC HE FUCKS!!! NEXT QUESTION! Now yes Remy elicits the same kind of response but not the same level. Magneto is 3 grown children levels of fucks. DILF and GDILF fucks levels. This whole drama is completely fucking stupid with MAGNETO as the stage partner. HE’S LIKE 100 YEARS OLD AND HE OWNED A METEORITE. ROGUE HAS FIST-FOUGHT LIKE ALL OF HIS CHILDREN AT LEAST ONCE. WE HAVE OTHER THINGS TO ADDRESS.

After like 20 years of writers being weird little fetishist creeps about how exactly the logistics of Rogue and Remy fuckin would work when like that’s what a gimp suit and condoms are for, it’s refreshing to just not feel the WEIGHT of that forced conflict hanging over a romantic relationship of hers. With romy there’s SUCH a hyper focus by the writers on their sex life half the time not their overall relationship and it’s just weird and gross. Like they fuck, they figure it out and she works thru her fear of touch— can we talk about rogue’s mental instability and how that affects the relationship and remy’s fear of rejection/abandonment now?????????????? THAT'S WHAT I'M ACTUALLY HERE FOR!!!!!! YALL CAN'T SELL ME SMUT SO STOP OBSESSING OVER IT LIKE PRETEENS AND TELL ME ABOUT THEIR MESSY RELATIONSHIP DRAMA!!!!!!

Rogue also tends to just be fucking bonkers more when she’s with Magneto and I like that. She’s less southern belle and more fuck it we ball and it’s refreshing. It’s a nice combo of personalities platonically and/or romantically because Magneto is really an EXCELLENT emotional/mental rock which she needs and Rogue is 10000000% not afraid to call him a lil bitch to his face and he NEEDS people around him to help keep his ego/doom spirals in check.

Their arguments feel more like real conflicts and debates. When they team up it feels more solid and like a partnership. They just feel like there's more weight and oomph in their interactions. Magneto has such a power and gravity to him. He's literally one of the immovable tent poles of the X-Verse. They'll be finding ways to keep him on the field even when he'd be 1,000 in comic years. So by interacting with him it let's her be more of a serious character. She gets to square up unstoppable force to immovable object and really test herself against him while also knowing at the end they're gonna shake and say "good game."

You don't get that with Remy because Remy's not solid like that, he's built to move. He's meant to be flexible. If you take away his flexibility (morally, in personality, in allegiance, in wants, in self-image etc) then he's just not him anymore. But the issue there is Rogue is also malleable — she's literally absorbing other people. That's two rubber people trying to help each other stand. It ain't gonna work and none of the comic writers wanna put in the real effort to MAKE it work. (fic writers ofc, have cracked this code and know how to write romy who can actually work and be compelling even into the modern era)

for me, Remy was a good first love interest for her and I love his character and I still love their dynamic — just now in a more platonic way. Meanwhile Magneto is a better second and potentially endgame relationship for her. He's more where she is in life now and he both gives her someone to depend on when she's going fucking batshit from her powers and also someone to sharpen her claws on who can take it and dish it back.

Manga SPOILER: I SO had the feeling Alice would be bad news and was just playing them. I'm so excited how the events will unfold. If she detests Milo for being "human" and showing emotion she must dislike winter too for treating her well in the past. The way she talked about Winter made it seem like she thinks Winter is gullible for believing her act. Winter has always seemed like the most human part of the moriarty family who only did a job bc she had to. She even gave clues to ron when she kidnapped amamiya to solve the case, despite telling Milo "she'll go all out this time" - if that is winter going all out she's clearly not doing it bc she gets pleasure out of hurting people. She also gave ron the files about the bloody trip case. I for one want to see winter join ron in taking down the moriarty family. Afterall she said she doesn't consider herself part of the family anymore.

Before this chapter, I actually thought that she faked her death (with help), then got her act together and started working even harder for revenge against Milo. It's weird how a two year old is like, "I'm bored! Guess I'll act dumb, since I'm so smart!" Like, bruh! I wonder if she has that thing where she remembers everything since birth (yes, it's an actual thing, but it's super rare)? 🤔

You're right! Oh my gosh, imagine hating people JUST because they're nice to you! 😭 Alice doesn't deserve Winter's love and care!!! Give back all the kindness she gave you!!!! Winter has seriously been all melancholy because she thought you were dead!!! 😭 I wonder how Winter feels about all this???? Does she feel played? Does she feel like a fool? Does she feel hurt? Is she angry? Sad? Happy that Alice is actually alive??? Maybe everything all at once?

ALSO! Milo is like, "Does Winter know?" WHICH IMPLIES THAT WINTER AND ALICE WERE CLOSER THAN THEY WERE WITH THE BROTHERS!!!! Also, when Alice says, "She just thinks of me as her poor little sister." It comes off making it sound like, Winter felt like she HAD to take care of Alice, but I'm not sure if that's true. I'm actually the youngest in my family, so I can't talk from an older sibling point of view, but I honestly just think Winter took care of Alice because she genuinely loved her. And yes, Winter is definitely more human than the others. I've also had the thought that Winter didn't enjoy killing people and she was just doing what she was told (that's where my oneshot of her and Eli came from). I wonder if she didn't see Ron as part of her family, because she didn't want to see another good man turned evil? 🤔

Yeah, I'm excited to see them teaming up, too! Winter would be such a great ally to have, and I've tossed aside my bias with that line. She's got the in's and out's with the Moriarty family, she knows the layout of their home, she's a criminal so she probably can get inside Alice's brain a little better than Ron (but at the same time, Alice was fake her entire life, so who knows with that), and she can disguise herself (and possibly others) in any way she needs to. Dang, Ron and Toto be pulling in an unstoppable team right now.

i think the knife and samuel are key to cracking this stupid fucking plot okay 

1. the knife - if jack had really killed clara with his own knife, why would he leave it at the pond? especially if he is so certain that he will be caught and found guilty? if he had done it, wouldn’t he just return the knife to the block and call it a day? and if he had left the knife behind in a moment of carelessness or emotional turmoil, he had at least a day before they even considered that she had been murdered to go back and get the knife. if there’s no knife, then all the evidence they have is circumstantial (he is not the only butcher in town, nor is he the only person that would have a knife like that) and the case would at least lack the certainty of finding the weapon at the scene of the crime that directly places jack there. to me, it reveals that the person that killed clara has ready access to jack’s shop and meant to frame him. 

2. samuel - if jack had really killed clara, why would he take samuel with him? if he was trying to ‘escape’ a situation he felt trapped in by killing clara, why would he care about samuel? he has grandparents that have the means to care for him and seemed more than willing to raise him. why would he want to continue to be ‘burdened’ by a child that is not his that he likely didn’t want in the first place (all from the perspective of the time-period, of course, the notion that you can’t love a child that isn’t biologically yours is such bs and i hate that mm keeps relying on that idea to tell their stupid stories). i think that watts is going to realize this (causing conflict with milo lmao) and actually appreciate jack’s refusal to leave behind this child when his connection with clara ended, especially when (in my theory) he has concerns for samuel’s safety. 

my theory is that either one of clara’s parents killed her, likely out of rage that she was planning to run away or ask for a divorce (thus why samuel might be in danger in jack’s eyes, bc if they were able to kill their daughter they might be able to hurt their grandson - and i think that jack has done the math in his head about who could have done it and her parents are probably the most likely suspects in his mind) and they framed jack so they could keep samuel, or the neighbour, out of some pseudo-feminist-ish plot where she wanted to make a statement about neglectful husbands or homosexuals marrying women or she was jealous of clara or smthg - listen idk i’m not being paid the big bucks to figure this out 

i just don’t think jack did it and the knife and his ‘stealing’ (which, as i’ve said before, is not stealing because jack is his legal guardian as clara’s husband) of samuel are going to be the things that watts uses to get to the bottom of it (fingers crossed lol bc when has predicting things on this bad mystery show ever gone awry)
