I truly believe Will Wood is an incredible musician and songwriter and is one of the top lyricists in the last decade both in and outside of the genres that he chooses to play in with absolutely zero irony. I also believe that you can only fully understand that if you’ve either had a pet die before listening to his music or you have a history of drug abuse and mental health crises. Or you’re trans.

#this may sound like a snooty post where I’m just upholding my own favorite music as the best #but honestly it’s in response to a lot of fans I’ve seen be really self critical?#like yeah haha I listen to bad music #and I also have been known to joke about my own weird taste #but here’s the thing! from a technical level! his music! goes hard! it is experimental and that is GOOD #and lyrically listen I listen to a lot of music #I’m even familiar with top forty stuff and while yes the content of his songs is very niche #the lyricism is so genuinely clever and playful and ugh god #ok anyway. sorry #listened to Will wood again #and also this post is about the fact that I first I didn’t get it.#and then I went to a really low point. and suddenly I got it #ok it cracked me open like a fucking egg #music #text #personal #kinda

My worst Broadway hot take is that the 2005 CGI animated movie Hoodwinked would make a good stage musical, actually

#I think about hoodwinked more than I probably should but In my defense it was on Cartoon Network a LOT growing up #Anyway like it has a couple of songs baked in to begin with #But also the structure lends itself to a chorus line- or cats-like musical #In that you can have each character get a song and sing about what their deal is #At least two (red and the woodsman) already have some but you can also write new ones if ya want #Top of the woods is a great villain song #It’s cool and I think a mystery musical could be fun #You could play with the music a lot I think #Like there’s this bit in the movie abt how while red’s singing she bikes pst other characters #I just imagine a snippet of her song passing by in the background during some other scene #It has potential!!#…Someone like just followed me and I hope this is the first post of mine they see

Love posting my Spotify receipts for the month bc you can always tell when I’ve had smth big to write for one of my classes bc the one Jash song (Dream (Outro from Calamity)) will make the receipt. I did not end up a Jashinator but I do like having a song I can rely on to make me write things.

I need four hours of build daily to keep me occupied (tired). it does actually do me wonders.#I’m so big and strong now. idk how big you are my lovely mutuals but I could lift the smaller ones I reckon.#right now I could pick up (not for long) anyone around or under 150 pounds. also preferably not super taller than me but I think it’d work.#it’s a start! I should start lifting. makes me feel big and strong. fingers crossed but it looks like i'm starting to stabilize. i had a relatively normal day yesterday, and while i still had more drastic mood swings than i would have at baseline, i wasn't overly manic and i also didn't feel suicidal when going to bed so i was able to fall asleep pretty quickly and without music at full volume in my headphones. i woke up naturally this morning around 8am instead of 4am or sleeping until someone wakes me up to tell me it's already noon and i feel pretty rested and able to focus. i'm almost caught up on my quantitative reasoning homework assignments and i'll be back up to being ahead of the class content wise.

i see my psychiatrist in a week so i'm going to keep monitoring it and let the new dosage adjust to my system but maybe, just maybe, my bipolar 1 is starting to recede!

#knock on wood and all that stuff #but it's the first day in two months where i just feel like a normal person #i really hope im over the hump on this one #spending two and a half months in fight or flight has absolutely destroyed my nervous system and general body functioning #it has made my chronic pain so bad i feel weak i can't eat solid foods properly like im wasting away because my body can't handle #such rapid changes all the time #but i feel okay today #i also have an idea for my next tattoo that i'll get in a few months once i move out #ive been really attached to the song summertime by my chemical romance through this whole crisis #and theres a line that says 'you can write this on your arm'#and im gonna take that literally #and get 'in the dark' on one arm and 'out of harm' on the other near my elbows #gerard way stopped me from kms many times and its a crime i dont have an mcr tattoo yet tbh #ive wanted one for so long #but now i know exactly what i want #its such a clear image in my mind #anyway im done rambling #ghost.txt #suicidal ideation #<- i mentioned it so im tagging
