im trying to do a case study (not really) on the new names people try to give repliku and my consensus is that People Are Not Very Creative
#robo ramble#like why do all of them have to start with an R or be very derivative or close to Riku. Like Stop.#the whole point is that they dont want to be riku at all.#im not going to act like my name is the best but at least i tried to go for a whole symbolic thing and also it doesnt start with R#that wasnt my first choice for a name either. i really put a lot of thought into it.

THEY FOUND THE WHITE WITCH CATERPILLAR! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!
For context: the white witch is one of the contenders for the largest moth in the world (biggest *wingspan*--loses to the atlas in terms of wing surface area, and loses to the regal for weight). It has a huge range, and the adult is fairly common.
But no one had ever seen a caterpillar. At all. There were only guesses as to what it might look like and what it ate. until this year. These are some of the first images ever taken of it!!
