i actually didn’t find that it went too fast in terms of their relationship because it felt like so much had already sort of happened between them if that makes sense? so so so much was said through their facial expressions, like it was insane how much actually? i also felt like the paris sex scene added so much to their relationship because it just felt so ridiculously intimate and i felt the shift into something so much more serious between them

i wished we got a few more scenes (idk why but i wanted david and alex to meet lmao)

again the addition of miguel was something i got? didn’t like it but got it because i think the book leak idea was a little too complex or would have taken too much time to build up (aka too much time away from alex and henry). he was just a bit of a creep lmao

i definitely feels like it will be appreciated and understood so much more by people who have read the book. the idea of them both loving each other before we saw them at the wedding was felt within the book a lot more. the way alex had a photo of henry when he was younger and henry was so taken by alex back then was never said?

i also … don’t shoot me but … didn’t really miss june that much? like nora was fine but even if june was there i feel like she would have had the exact same vibe as nora. basically a sound board for alex in regards to henry but they didn’t delve into their family history or had their parents divorced which again … i kind of get? it feels like they were interested in alex and henry’s relationship more so than the building blocks to their individual personalities and they definitely sacrificed elements of complexity on alex’s part especially

the scene in the book where alex rings henry and just complains about his family is such a little turning point for them and would have been lovely to see in the film but like i said … i kind of get it

henry and alex were perfectly cast in my eyes. henry was so endearing and charming and complex and they nailed all of that and alex was loud and passionate and unapologetically himself

Okay, I just saw your other ask about leshley/eagleone and felt like I had to get in on this because ever since RE4Make came out, I've been going crazy over this ship. I have always found it cute in RE4 OG, but now it's driving me crazy. I cannot understand how many people miss the many implications that Leon is trying to flirt during certain parts of the game. Like seriously, come on, pals, he's being so awkward, trying to sound cool and give compliments that end up sounding weirder than he intended. And I don't know if it's just me that noticed this, but I find it funny how Leon talks to Ashley in certain moments like it's the easiest thing to do; then, in other parts, he really has no clue how to speak to her. Does that not scream attraction to anyone?

i'm with you on this one. i don't know how people miss EVERYTHING about them. like they don't even go "oh?" at times when they're playing. it probably depends on the mindset you have when you're playing. if you're hyperfocused on the action, maybe you'll miss it. idk. on social media, there are two broad types of people who have negative reactions when it comes to leon/ashley:

1. aeon shippers (mostly, can be other shippers as well, but they're mostly chill because they themselves get forced into a corner by aeon stans) who think it threatens their ship

2. people who are fiercely anti-romance when it comes to whatever media they consume and consider it to be dumb and actively making a good piece of media worse (because in their eyes, romance is a lowly preoccupation to have)

and both groups are super bitter for no reason lmaoooo. you might have noticed a tendency in media discourse recently on social media that is very anti-romance - a few weeks ago, it became a whole thing on twitter because of the bear (the tv show) and the ship between sydney and carmy, to the point where even official media outlets started talking about it. romance is considered dumb. everything that contains romance is essentially a bad soap opera. blah blah blah we're all too smart for that. there's a very strong, almost puritanical anti-sex sentiment going around at the moment as well, and i wish it was just some isolated issue within fandoms overpopulated by young teens, but people lost their minds over two sex scenes in oppenheimer for god's sake. and if i had the time and willpower and knowledge, i'd turn this into a discussion about how that ties into humans being obsessed with moving away from every single instinct that they have, but well.

i also agree with the second part of your ask, about leon's attitude towards ashley. tbh, leon can't flirt for shit: most of the time, he's awkward (RE2R, the fence scene with claire: i can never tell if he's attempting to flirt, or if he's just awkward because there's a cute girl right in front of him) or even downright unfunny (was he trying to flirt with jill in death island? was he trying to lighten the mood? idk man leon is a bit of a whore so). he tries to flirt all the time: we got shen may in infinite darkness, ada, etc. we know he isn't smooth.

so one thing that really sticks out in RE4R is his tone with ashley, in two specific instances (maybe more): the one i mentioned in my previous ask, when he says "i can catch you", and when he sees ashley asleep on the bed in chapter 13 (and calls out to her). these are two very intense and high-stress situations where he kind of reverts back to RE2R leon (nick does a great job at conveying the difference in maturity in leon's voice in both games). he's very distressed. why does that matter? because fucking shouting ashley's name when there are two enemies 10 meters away (we know that, he doesn't, but the island is riddled with ganados, so why would he even try?) is the stupidest decision a special agent could make. and yet he does it anyway. there are other instances of leon being in a similar situation, yet he still retains that deeper tone of his - see his first encounter with krauser in chapter 11.

and it's not just because he's doing his job, which is what one of my friends argued, because you don't go around flirting with the person you're tasked to rescue for shits and giggles. not to mention, that's the president's daughter. if he was just doing his job, he'd stick to the plan, be stoic and get her home and that's it. that's what's required of him. implying that the first daughter is hot as fuck and that he doesn't usually enjoy his regular missions nearly as much as he does when he's with her isn't part of his job description. there's a difference between being a decent guy and not treating her like cargo, and overtly flirting with her.

i think he's also very awkward with her at first because he's toeing the line between what's acceptable and what isn't, so he can figure out if there is grounds for flirting and it's not wholly unwanted on ashley's part. then you get that pep talk in the castle, which is when they really start to get comfortable with each other and when he attempts some physical contact that isn't just 100% necessary. she reacts well, which explains why he takes it further in chapter 9. he spends the rest of the game painfully distressed and by chapter 16, they're all over each other (jetski + taking her hand to run to the elevator - leon, the girl is smart, she knows how to run and follow you).

leon has a crush. plain and simple. he doesn't know how to deal with it, except for the few times when he does and the flirting is technically reciprocated. idk how people can't notice the plain signs of attraction, even in a generation that is as recluse and introverted as mine tends to be, but they're very obvious once you start paying attention.

omfggggg paige I just saw that you watched scream 6!!!!! i’m really glad to hear that you liked it!!!! i really enjoyed it too (i’ve seen it twice now actually).

SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR SCREAM 6 NOW SO FOR ANYONE WHO HASNT SEEN IT YET KEEP SCROLLING:

I really liked the beginning and end scenes the most. At first I was like “Damn. That’s new” when I thought they just straight up revealed the new killer but it was even better tbh. That whole “Who gives a fuck about movies?!” line too was just soooo good. Perfectly delivered (as usual).

And I like Sam’s character even more now. I thought she was cool in Scream 5 and the whole “daughter of a serial killer” concept is interesting but what makes it better is her clearly being a bit.....“unhinged” as well, so to speak (honestly got chills when she was in the costume and they played the ghostface theme when she appeared behind Bailey). I also liked that this movie paralleled Scream 2 a bit (Scream 1 & 2 are my favorites but this one is close).

My only complaints were 1.) ethan being a killer. I felt it was too obvious....plus I like cute, dorky characters so I felt a little betrayed ngl. 2.) Ghostface definitely should’ve had the shotgun more. Cause let’s be real, ghostface coming at you with a knife isn’t actually THAT terrifying esp considering how is always easily beat up (Gale literally used a book to hit him at one point 😭). Ghostface with a shotgun though??? Pretty terrifying tbh. And finally 3.) I was salty that the only one from the “friend group” that died was (of course) the asian girl.....as a fellow asian girl it just made me a bit salty lmaoooo (the death scene itself though was very well done and brutal too).

And imo ghostface may not really be the “scariest” horror movie villain/killer/slasher, but to me he is definitely one of the most ICONIC.

Previously on BnHA: Deku was all “[powers up like whoa because it’s time to end the fight]”, and he saved Overhaul from getting not-shot, and then smashed up Nagant’s arm with the power of his new rechargeable super knees. Nagant was all “yoooo this kid is crazy strong whaaaat, it’s like he’s some kind of protagonist or something.” Deku was all “I AM A PROTAGONIST, ACTUALLY, DO YOU WANT TO JOIN FORCES AND FIGHT BAD GUYS WITH ME?” Nagant was all “ah shit why the hell no -- ” and then AFO was all “SURPRISE” and everyone was all “?!?!?!” and AFO was all “TIME TO EXPLODE NOW” and made Nagant explode because he’s an absolute fucking dick. And then Hawks showed up, because Horikoshi just wanted to stuff as many plot points as humanly possible into a single chapter I guess.

Today on BnHA: Hawks is all “good job giving motivational shounen redemption speeches Deku but I’ll take it from here” and screams very earnestly right in Nagant’s face until she finally wakes up. I am once again reading the Bean version because I think it was actually the best out of all three translations last week. and that is surprisingly including Viz’s. “faux” is not nearly as entertaining as “knockoff”, and also I have literally no idea why Caleb thought Deku was saying the Third’s lines lol

So I read the books a while ago and I was absolutely in love with them and then I heard the series was coming out and I was so fucking excited bro u have no clue. I was out of town when it came out and the second I got home I immediately watched it. I nearly cried like thirty times and half the time I was just kicking my feet in the air and giggling like a maniac.

When Nick came out to his mum I nearly cried because he was so nervous to tell her and I wanted to just wrap him up in a hug and I'm so glad she did. His entire journey of realising he was bisexual and coming to terms with it was weirdly personal to me and the scene where he was taking the "am i gay" quizzes made me cry. The look on his face when he was typing it up and the way he was so hesitant to even write the words, and then when he got his results the tears in his eyes I- just oh my goddjfjfjc. I love Kit (Nick's actor) sm because he managed to portray the panic and fear so well, when he was with his (douchebag) friends and his (amazing) mum. I literally cheered when he punched Harry in the face it was incredible. He should have thrown Ben in the trash, where he belongs, instead of just out the door. We stan bisexual himbos in this house and that is Exactly what Nick is I just skdjdjjdjfjf. He's so protective of Charlie but so respectful of him too and I love him so much oh my goddd 😭

Ok so I wrote like a giant paragraph on Charlie but apparently it didn't save to my drafts which is fuckin annoying. Anyway I just adore him and how soft he is and how even though he's soft he’s also a bitch and I love that for him. ““No”?!” Diane, Ban, King, and you screamed.

“You didn’t just meet me,” Gowther said. He walked up to Elizabeth, looking down at her. “We already met in Ordan. And also, you were acquainted with us as a child.”

Elizabeth’s eyes widened. “Eh?”

“Lucky, you got to see Gowther first,” you said, crossing your arms across your chest. Ban had you sleep while he, King, and Meliodas went to go find Gowther. You were slightly bummed that you weren’t able to help, but you were glad that you were finally able to get some rest. You cackled when Ban told you his reactions to Gowther’s unexpected appearance.

“Now that you mention it, she was always around the king,” Ban said, scratching the back of his head. “A little wisp of a kid.” You stifled a laugh as you lightly swatted Ban’s arm.

“I don’t remember that,” Diane said, laughing nervously. 

King floated next to Gowther. “Addressing Her Highness like that - a bit rude, maybe?”

“I stand corrected - princess,” Gowther said.

“Um... Then... Have I met Sir Meliodas before, too, by any chance?” Elizabeth asked, a faint blush on her cheeks.

“Well, yeah,” Meliodas said, walking towards you.

“Sir Meliodas,” Elizabeth exclaimed.

“So anyway, Gowther,” Meliodas said. “What’s your answer?”

“I’ll agree to it,” Gowther replied. “It was the king who named me to the Seven Deadly Sins. If it’s a request from his daughter, I have no reason to decline. Also, knowing Y/N, she would probably be very disappointed if I did not go, so that’s another reason why I will stay.”

“Yay,” you said, wrapping your arms around Gowther’s waist, to which he responded by lightly patting your head.

“All right,” Meliodas said, smiling cheekily. “Now that there are six of us here, how about we drink to celebrate?”

Ban turned to Meliodas, a child-like grin on his face. “All right,” he yelled, throwing his arms up like an excited child, making you cackle.

"Cheers," Diane said, lifting her barrel of alcohol up.

"Ch-Cheers," King said, blushing slightly.

"I'm not gonna lose to you, Captain," Ban exclaimed, already sounding drunk.

"You're so gonna eat those words," Meliodas said, grinning at him.

You laughed at them, a smile on your face. "Ban! If you get wasted, I'm the one who has to pay the consequences, dammit!" The three of you laughed at your statement, Ban slamming his hand on the table.

Elizabeth gave Gowther a place of food. Suddenly, Gowther heard loud munching noises behind him. "Detecting bizarreness," Gowther said, turning around. He tilted his head as he saw Hawk eating away at his bowl of scraps.

"Hey, Gowther," Hawk said, mouth full of scraps. "I'm Sir Hawk, Captain of the Scraps Disposal! Hey, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me anything!"

Gowther stared at Hawk. "Why would a pig be speaking in the human tongue?" Gowther asked.

"No idea," Hawk said.

Gowther tilted his head. "Why are you eating scraps?"

"'Cause they're tasty," Hawk exclaimed.

"That's all," Gowther said, turning to look at his food.

"That's it already?!" Hawk said. "Isn't there anything else you wanna ask me?"

Gowther stared at the scene in front of him: Diane and Elizabeth laughing as King gazed fondly at Diane, Ban poking fun at you while you were yelling at him for drinking too much.

"'I'm so moved. I never thought I'd be reunited with the others.'" Meliodas threw his arm around Gowther's shoulders. "Isn't that about what you were thinking?" He said, smiling.

"None of us is from the same species," Gowther stated, looking at all of you.

"That's it?" Meliodas asked.

"It is," Gowther replied.

Meliodas laughed. "Now that you mention it, I guess you're right." The blonde smiled as he watched Diane and King laughed together, faint blushes on their cheeks, while you and Ban bickered, Ban's cheeks flushed from alcohol and yours from Ban's constant remarks and teasing. Meliodas looked and smiled as Elizabeth sat with Hawk contentedly, Hawk eating away at his scraps.

It feels good to be surrounded by friends.

Look I’m tired of all this ‘my children won’t be safe’ line getting repeated. Look mate, murder of royal infants and children was not exactly a common occurence, even in cases of deposition. The Princes in the Tower are an exception to this but a very infamous case for that reason. Child murder was extremely taboo. In situations like this with an infant kid, no one is going to bother murdering the babies and taking their thrones, the lords will just vie for power and make themselves de facto rulers and oust the queen. It’s not a question of safety but a question of holding power. Stop giving all women characters perma mummy brains.

You know what? Ruairi is a decent actor. When he says ‘so you admit it? you lost the child because you tried to be a man?” the actor conveys Henry’s troubled mind, lowkey scare towards Catherine and bewilderment all in one. The way his eyes do not move but just widen emotionlessly also gives this sense that he is being manipulated (which I guess they are going for with Wolsey). Catherine calling them ordinary children... she just keeps striking me as more and more classist. Like ok, I know every royal was... but still, I thought she was meant to see Lina as a friend and equal despite her race and status. To add the race element, this kind of rubs me the wrong way.

But despite the title of this post (what hasn’t been said) I will reiterate that 16th century and Medieval people’s problem wasn’t that they were ashamed of their grief and didn’t cry. In fact, crying was somewhat more socially acceptable then than it even is now! Even manly men like Arthur were written as crying in literature such as Malory’s Morte d’Arthur. Obviously you couldn’t go overboard, but in truth crying was indeed often too performative rather than hidden too much behind doors.

I cannot in all fairness believe it. This was actually decent. I’ve given up on historical accuracy long ago so by this point I’m focusing more on how it stands as as drama. I mean, TWQ was also a flop when it came to grasping the complex issues of that era but why do I feel compelled to rewatch it every year? Because it had atmosphere when it came to acting, music, certain aesthetics (though the costumes let me down often). It felt adequately gothic and dark, yet bright and jewel-lish when it had to be, sometimes both at the same time. Some one-liners were also memorable etc...

So far TSP 2 did not have any of this. Everything felt way too off and anachronistic. But not even consistently anachronistic. The music was also often very meh (though I just noted the absence of the spanish stringy theme that kept playing in season 1 - I guess I understand why), the dialogue very clichéd (‘alright lads let’s throw in the words: king, crown, power, fight, battle + other buzzwords and we have ourselves Shakespeare’) and so on... but I saw a change in this episode and I couldn’t initially point out what it was.

Upon rewatch, I identified some of the improvements (noted above) but above all: The producer was different! Boy does it show. Unfortunately, I think she is only for this one episode which really sucks. Come back! There is more chemistry between the couples, less predictable interactions, pervy Compton, cinnamonroll Douglas, better music, more scenic shots (e.g Douglas and Margaret in church) e.t.c. I hope it will match the rest of the STARZ productions in getting better towards the end.

Look it’s no masterpiece. But I’ll give credit where it’s due because at least this time it didn’t leave me feeling wanting and unsatisfied (if that makes sense).

So, now that my finals are officially over, I am going to proceed to have a drink or two or three and rewatch Eclipse. Here’s (soberly) what I remembered from the film prior to starting this account (since starting this account, posts re:Eclipse have reminded me of things I’m not going to include in this introduction): 

1. Bella is basically playing tic-tac-toe with Edward and Jacob and her feelings for them. She can’t make up her mind. When I watched it the first time, my dad was in the living room half paying attention to it and said she was very selfish. 

2. Edward tries to control Bella, but it’s “out of genuine concern for her”.

3. Jacob tries to control Bella, but it’s “out of genuine concern for her”.

4. Both fight for her affection and even though she’s engaged to Edward, she won’t let go of Jacob.

5. When the newborn army shows up, Bella cuts her arm with a rock.

6. There’s awkward tension in the tent.

This episode aired when I was just first getting into the show, so I was seeing a TON of posts about it while I was still watching season 2 or something. And I remember dreading getting to this one because all I knew was everyone was screaming about cringe and constipation pills. I get secondhand embarrassment really badly lol, so I was lowkey dying first time I watched this. I think I’ll handle it better this time around though lol

this isn’t related to this ep - but do people skip the intro?? i love the intro. whenever netflix asks me if i wanna skip an intro i feel a little offended lol. i wanna jam out a bit in excitement before i watch the show im hyped about, thanks.

OKAY, tons of set up for later episodes in this one, which is really cool. this episode is a great precursor for all the new lore we end up getting in Feast which is great. And a bit more of Marinette beginning to worry about Adrien’s relationship with Kagami, which definitely plays a part in a bunch of episodes later in the season. It’s becoming more and more clear to me that the episodes are slowly getting to be less episodic and have more connections and themes throughout each episode, and watching in (what seems to be) the intended order is already so satisfying!!

honestly? i actually think they presented anthony’s trauma better in the series than in the book.

i get the whole “Anthony simply couldn’t imagine ever surpassing his father in any way, even in years” thing, but the obsession with the certainty of never getting to be that specific age wasn’t really... i don’t wanna say realistic, because it is a very real response that people can have, but it wasn’t very relatable. it’s the kind of thing that sounds silly to an outsider, like, say, someone  in a high-stress situation suddenly begging you to save (a woman with the same name as) your dead mother and triggering your ptsd

2. if they’d focused more on this aspect, painting edwina as someone who sees getting married as a duty as much as kate does finding her a husband, instead of making her all moon-eyed at anthony, it could’ve been SO interesting, and charithra could DEFINITELY deliver it

make her the member of the family whom everyone tries to protect but who knows there’s something wrong going on and is trying her best to help out in the best way she can with as little information as she has. keep the way she was in the book, clearly unsuited for anthony, clearly uninterested in him, but resigning herself to marry him because he’s the objectively good choice and she knows she needs to do this (the same way he sees the whole thing!!!!! the parallels!!!!!). explore more on her feelings for a scholar with no title and not much money, but with whom she shares common interests and truly gets along, just like anthony and kate

edwina in the books is living such a parallel story to anthony’s, and they had the perfect opportunity to explore this but missed it in favour of making her a romantic rival to her sister - something the book was extremely clear about her never having been. they’re such clear narrative mirrors, and to explore this would’ve been so interesting because it ties into gender roles and how marriage was a duty to both men and women but each went about it so differently! anthony needs to marry to sire an heir and pass on the title, which is his duty to his family as a man, and edwina needs to marry to stop being a financial burden and become a connection to well-respected people, which is her duty to her family as a woman!! so they both put up with it, because they have to!!!!

(and the show even added that thing about edwina being able to inherit something if she married someone titled, so why the fuck did they leave out her canonically not-titled eventual-husband from the books???????? a much better source of drama than a tired ass love triangle between siblings, get that shit out of my sight)

ok... the bee scene

i maintain that i like what they’ve done with it. it still represents a pivot point in the story, and one that still has enough emotional and narrative weight to deserve the connection to edmund that the bee provides (what makes them realise they’re growing feelings for each other, instead of what makes them get married) - not to mention it’s beautifully shot.

what i dislike about it is what it represents: how much they’ve extended their getting-together period. a scene that was supposed to get them married happens an entire episode before anthony proposes to someone else. also, the scene in the book that makes them realise they’re attracted to each other (the one in anthony’s office with kate under the table and their first kiss) is my favourite one in the entire book (besides the pall-mall, obviously), so i’m bitter

Bad Apple Wars Review

{SPOILERS}

This was the very first otome game I played and it sent my heart to the moon. The characters were oh so cute and the stories are wonderful. But after switching from the action-packed game of Danganronpa to an otome, I thought I would get bored lol. 

When I started it, I had no idea how to play otome games but I just went with the flow and I went through the Higa route first. I thought it was interesting that he died almost the same way that Paris (that’s what I named the girl lmao) died, but on his side was to save somebody else. I actually cried when he graduated but I was really glad when Paris and Higa saw each other in the real world. There was that extra CG after the epilogue but I was so confused on how to get it.. but I realized I went to Alma first on the map in the beginning hahaha. I figured how to get to each route of each person after studying the map just a lil more (colors are so important man). I remember looking at the soul touch tutorial and screaming when it said that clothes would disappear like wHY. But I guess it fits the mood hehe. 

The next person I went through was Satoru. I decided to alternate between the good and bad sides. I just thought of him as a sweet, stubborn cinnamon roll. He was very adorable. I was glad when he finally started to sense the world he was in and what happened to him and such. Just a cute lil bub. I name the girl in this one Atlanta.

Next was Alma. It’s funny when I first heard his voice, I immediately knew who the voice actor was. Sakurai Takahiro voices so many of my favorite characters in anime hehe. I used the default name for the girl in this route because he was the leader. His background story just crushed my heart. I wanted to give him all the hugs :(( but his enDING THO. I LITERALLY SCREAMED. I just found it realllly cute that he was the one who saved Rinka’s life in the real world. And I really love his black hair lmaooo. just the thought of them getting married made my heart go doki doki.

Next, I went through White Masks route. I was really excited to see his story because I knew very little of him. I named the girl London this time. I found his story to be the most tragic. It’s just so sad :(( When he pushed London away because he thought her life would be ruined if he was around made me all the more sad. His soul touches were really difficult and I was frantically searching for the right spots. When I was going through Gas Mask-sensei’s arc I was shaking a whole lot because I was so scared about what was gonna happen. I’m glad that they got to meet each other in the end :)) I was really surprised to see that they saw each other? in the real world first. He saw her walking across the street and was worried about ruining her life. Then the accident happened and I got confused after that scene. That was the last thing he saw right? After running away from the accident, I’m assuming he died somehow.. I’m not to sure how he died...

Last but not least was Shikishima! When I first met up with him I was thinking of what name to give her. I ran out of city names so I just went with Hana since he talked of flowers a lot. I was curious to see his story bc he was more behind the scenes in the other stories. I can’t remember what happened because I skipped a lot of scenes that I already knew of and I was quickly going through dialogue (at the time I also started Collar x Malice and had finished Enomoto’s route. I wanted to finished this game first and then go through Sasazuka’s route). Shikishima’s back story was sad too. I’m assuming he had tuberculosis, since I was thinking of the early 1900′s. I remembered from the Ghibli movie The Wind Rises, that’s what the girl had and she had a hemorrhage, too (is that the correct term???) At the graduation ceremony, I wasn’t sure how they were gonna meet in the end and I kinda felt sad that they didn’t :,( Yeah, she met one of his descendants? but idk I wasn’t really satisfied with the ending. IDK if it’s just me.

Welp there’s my review! I really loved this game and am glad that it’s the first otome that I played. I’d have to say Higa was my favorite route. IDK if it’s because I usually love the first person I interact with or his personality.. probably the latter. I remember like internally screaming when he actually put a shirt on in Naraka’s fashion show lmaoooo I was used to him being shirtless but seeing him in a suit- i could just say i was speechless hAH

- The opening scene for ‘Magic To Do’ and shit. okay. listen. It opens on a black screen with whitehanded gloves coming out and then Tom’s putting a black light on them, and THAT looks awesome. But....moving the screen and the screen itself look like garbage oh my God

- The kid she cast as Pippin. listen. He’s funny and I like him. If you’ll refer back to my in the heights posts, he was Sonny

- ...remember how I also said the kid playing Sonny was very talented but seemingly untrained and thus the weakest link in the main cast

First she’ll sing too quietly, so we’ll turn her mic up....and then she’ll decide to be loud, so we have to turn it down....over....and over....and over...oh my God. And considering her scene partner is SO LOUD like it’s just. Messy.

- Tom decided today, after 8? 9? years of knowing me, to suddenly start calling me “Moll” but when he’s across the room no one can fucking tell if he’s saying “Moll” or “Mom” so we were confused half the night

- There’s been so much staple gun drama for some reason and my mother literally ran into the directors husband at Lowes because of it

- “Imagine going to your Grandma’s house hoping for a fun and meaningful visit but then she just sings for like five minutes then has a group of men carry her away”

- Oh my God,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the scene where Pippin’s like banging everyone in the country

- So what’s SUPPOSED to happen: He has a dance with a bunch of girls, some guys come out and join the mix, the dancers pair off and get into ~~~suggestive~~~ poses until Pippin becomes tired and disgusted and decides Sex Isn’t The Only Reason For Living

- What’s ACTUALLY happening: He’s got this weird dance with like twenty girls, right...And then six boys come out...and line up and they do this lean thing while Pippin’s on his knees (”he’s EXPERIMENTING”) and then the girls have another dance break but it’s just like. random dance moves. Like, I’m NOT game for having a bunch of teenage girls pantomime the fucking kama sutra out here but the dance makes no sense and with the fact there’s only six ensemble boys who do Barely Anything it just reads less as ‘Pippin tires of sex’ and more as ‘Pippin gets chased away by a bunch of lesbians who were sending a lot of mixed signals’ asdfghjk

- All the body parts were thrown onto and taken off the stage by the tiny little kid playing Theo and it shouldn’t have been so funny but it WAS omg

- This cast is NEVER CENTERED onstage and it’s driving me INSANE like there’s always a few stranglers on stage right and it looks so sloppy but my complaints are falling on death ears rip

- The foam sun....took like 20 minutes to hang up

- I can’t type anymore I'm tired and literally still have saw dust on me but anyway: still not considering throwing myself into a fire pit
