Helloo!
Could I ask for a nsfw gym!killua? A way I could imagine it would be that they’re both already dating but there’s this one time that reader specifically asks Killua to teach her on her form and how to train properly but then it slowly turns intimate.
Thank youuu <3🙈💗

Killua is 20 here!!! This is a nsfw one shot w y/n & 𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐏!𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐀!
also the person who asked for this request didn't specify if they wanted a one shot or a headcanon, but i logically concluded that it was a request for a one shot. in any case, i really hope you like it ♡ and please, i don't want any arguments in the comments. Just move on if you don't like this! (*´▽`*) (please)
Tumblr media
You've been dating Killua for a year now. Over the past year, you’ve been intimate enough times that it has started to feel boring due to the routine. It's not as exciting as it was during your first time together.
Yes, the first time is unique and special, and comparing that initial experience to those that followed is foolish.
But you still remember the sensation of that first time: his hands moving over your body as if staying still wasn't an option, his mouth passionately kissing every possible spot, those sweet and dirty words at the same time, the knot in your stomach slowly unraveling with each powerful thrust, those moans sounding like the most wonderful melody, the praises, your own cries of pleasure, and the feeling of becoming one with the man of your life, the man you have always loved.
Oh my God, you would do anything to relive those sensations. You definitely need to spice up your sex life.
You’ve been thinking for a few days now about things that could help you break out of this routine, something new and exciting.
“Hey, Killua!”
A high-pitched male voice broke the silence and interrupted your thoughts.
“Yes, Gon?”
“Pamu is forcing me to go on a date with her tonight, so you’ll have to go to the gym by yourself this time.”
“Alright, I see. It’s not a problem, but be careful with that crazy girl-”
“No, you won’t go alone! I want to come with you!”
The two young adults looked at you in astonishment. Given all the times they both tried to drag you to their probably very boring gym sessions, you can understand their surprise at your sudden motivation. However, it seemed to delight Killua, who was the one most insistent on having you accompany him. Even though, after you declined their offers so many times, he had stopped asking.
But today, you have the best motivation: having sex in public. That’s the perfect way to spice up your sex life!
“Great! We’ll go in three hours, late enough that the fewest people possible will see you embarrass yourself trying to lift weights that are too heavy for you…”
You arrive in front of the gym. On the way, he asked you many questions about your sudden motivation. But of course, you made sure not to reveal anything.
Once inside the gym, he takes your hand, and you run to a completely empty room. There’s nothing but a few workout machines and some dim lighting that creates a subdued atmosphere.
He starts explaining your workout plan, even teasingly saying, “I’m going to do everything to exhaust you”… My God, he has no idea how much.
“Alright, tell me why you wanted to accompany me today? I’m curious.”
“Nothing, I just want to get in shape. Also, I’d like to learn how to fight. Can you help me?”
“Of course. I’ll focus on you today. Now, stay right where you are.”
He comes up behind you and positions your body a certain way for an exercise (who cares about the name). You are now bent over with your knees slightly bent. Feeling Killua’s hands on you, even in a (for now) non-sexual context, gets you so excited and wet that you start blushing and smiling foolishly while rubbing your legs together a bit for relief. Suddenly, you feel a pair of eyes on you and look in Killua’s direction, seeing him as red as a tomato. He averts his gaze and places one hand on your back and the other almost on your butt to make you bend over more. “Damn, I’m almost certain he figured it out.”
It’s tough being with someone so smart.
He moves his hands a bit, and finally places them on your waist, turning you towards him and softly kissing your cheek. This gesture triggers something in you, and you don’t hesitate to take matters into your own hands by pushing him against the wall and starting to kiss him more sensually. After all, he has definitely understood your intentions, right? So you might as well go for it as you desire.
Killua was initially surprised, but you had already started, so why would he stop you?
“No. I’m on top,” he said.
He pressed your shoulders down to make you sit and quickly removed his pants with a sly grin, revealing his cock. Blinded by excitement, you didn’t take long before taking his enormous cock into your mouth, sucking it slowly while looking up at him almost innocently into his beautiful blue eyes. Your mouth couldn’t physically accommodate his entire length, so you had to use your hands to cover the parts your mouth couldn’t reach. He grabbed your head and pushed it down to fit more of his cock into your tight little throat. “Fuck… yeah, just like that, take it all.”
He thrust his cock harder and deeper until you started to gag, tears welling up in your eyes. Damn, it was so exhilarating, and the fact that someone could catch you at any moment made you even wetter. You sucked him for a few more minutes before his penis trembled and something semi-liquid exploded inside your mouth.
He lays you down, spreads your thighs, and teases you with his cock, rubbing it everywhere—your clit, your vagina, your thighs…
Then, he slowly enters you, feeling your vagina tighten and pulse around his cock. “You’re so tight.”
He starts moving slowly, sending shivers down your spine, trying to keep his cool and not fuck you as hard as he wants to. Considering his size, even though your vagina is used to it, he doesn’t want to go too fast and risk hurting you. He wants you to take your time to adjust.
Little by little, as the sound of his balls slapping gets louder, he picks up the pace until your moans and pleas fill the room. His cock pumps harder and harder inside you, and the sensation of your vagina sucking his cock is the best feeling you’ve ever known.
You can’t breathe, talk, or do anything but scream his name, barely able to think straight. You look down, and the sight of his cock makes you even wetter than you thought possible. You almost cry out from the sheer pleasure of his enormous cock.
“Oh my God, you’re so tight…” “Good girl. Take it all… argh.”
Suddenly, you feel his finger alternating between rubbing and making small circles on your clit, gently at first, but with each thrust, Killua focuses more intensely on it. “Arghh, I’m going to cum, fuck me harder, my love, fuck me harder!!!” Your legs begin to tremble as you feel him moving even faster inside you, indicating he’s close too.
It’s been a long twenty minutes of him pounding into you, keeping you helpless beneath him. You feel his cock hitting the depths of your vagina, almost seeing a bulge in your lower abdomen. You feel your walls convulsing, your orgasm building up—it’s too much for you. “Oh fuck, y/n, it feels so good… I’m going to cum—” You feel one final, harder thrust, his cock twitching inside you, and you start to feel his white-hot cum filling you up.
Tumblr media
“What? Is that why you wanted to go to the gym? To have sex in a public place?”
“Wait, you didn’t understand? You saw me blushing and smiling, and then you fucked me…”
“You started it, I just followed your lead…”

Tumblr media
Characters: Gon Freecs, Killua Zoldyck Type: Crack?, Headcanons, Gn!reader
omg turning off anon rqs was a total accident im so sorry you guys 😭 and by main 2 im assuming you mean for hxh
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Gon Freecs
you put this poor boy under so much stress with your bad luck 😭😭😭
your constant dying is so traumatizing to him, especially since no one remembers your previous deaths so it's like the first time every time
i think Gon would have good hearing considering he fishes and hunts and stuff so he has no issue understanding you
"mfnfffnnnhhnfnffnm" "they said they want chicken wings"
as far as you being poor he can kind of relate to you because he wasn't exactly the richest person back on Whale Island
but geez he didn't think it could ever get THAT bad
he offers to help you any way he can, often inviting you to have dinner with him and the others/Aunt Mito
Killua Zoldyck
No matter how hard he tries he literally can never understand what you're saying, even when everyone else seems to
"hrrmgngfffnrrnnffmf" "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING"
every time you die he's so confused
like how does it even happen why are you always dying in ridiculous ways
his reaction to you being poor is probably like "haha L"
and if you have bad parents he can sympathize bc his family isn't great either
but also it's normalized to him so he's not much help
he probably asks you stupid questions
"you're poor? What the hell do you do for fun?" "If you're poor why do your parents keep having kids?"
you can't even answer that last one, it makes no sense to you either

Killua x Mika x Gon x Love Triangle - I want your love .
Tumblr media
Gon was infatuated with his best friend, Mika. She was everything to him...her kindness to him, her beauty, her voice, her strength, her greed, it was almost an obsession.
..but there was a problem. Mika loved Killua...and it was clear that Killua felt the same way. He was very jealous even though Killua was his best friend...Gon was now with Mika in the tree house. Gon had never asked her to help him restore it.
“Oh, the place is full of dust,”
Mika complains as she wipes the window.
Gon watched her wipe away the dust with her soft hands. His mind wandered as he thought of Killua with her. His jealousy grew inside as he remembered how her eyes sparkled when she saw him. He was consumed by his obsession, and it ate at him like a cancer.
"Would she choose me?"
He thought to himself as she continued cleaning.
"Yes, it's been abandoned and dilapidated for years,"
Gon explains.
"But... could I ask a favor of you, Mika? I don't think I can restore this tree house alone... I couldn't ask Killua for help, so..."
He trails off, a blush forming on his cheeks.
Mika looks away from the window, her emerald eyes locking onto Gon's. He could swear she was also blushing, but it could just be the light..
. "Of course I'll help! Anything for you, Gon."
Mika was a wonderful girl, and Gon knew it. But she was in love with his best friend, Killua. Every time Gon was with her, he wanted to yell at her and ask,
"What does Killua have that I don't?"
So he just stayed quiet, and continued to help her with the tree house. But then today, she asked him to meet with her in the tree house. He didn't know why, he knew he shouldn't have gone, but there was a small part of him that hoped she would say she love him instead of Killua.
“Mmm, it is beautiful and it overlooks the sea. Whale Island is very beautiful,”
says Mika.
"Hmm,"
says Gon, scratching his chin.
"I never really had time to enjoy it... with all the training and everything."
Gon smiles at Mika’s compliment about their home. He also couldn’t help but notice her beautiful eyes, sparkling in the sunlight. It felt like the air was thick with tension.
"The fresh air, the peacefulness, the beautiful ocean... it feels like nothing could ever go wrong here."
He sighs, then looks towards Mika.
"Mika... I have to admit, when I invited you here today, it wasn't just to restore the tree house."
Mika stopped dusting, sensing that Gon had something important to say. She looked at Gon, her eyes widening slightly.
"What is it ?"
Gon takes a deep breath and looks down at the wooden floor.
"I uh... I don't know how to say this, Mika. It's just that... I uh..."
He trails off once again, visibly nervous.
After a couple seconds, he looks back up, locking eyes with her once more as he speaks.
"... I think I'm in love with you. It's been this way for a while now."
Gon's heart was pounding in his chest as he tried to find the words to say.
"Mika, I.."
His face was burning with embarrassment as he shifted his gaze to the ground, trying to find the confidence to say what he needed to.
"I...I love you, "He says again He quickly glances back up at her, his eyes filled with sincerity and pleading.
"I know you love Killua, and I know what I'm asking, but... could you love me back?"
He waits anxiously, his heart racing.
“Gon, stop joking,hhhhh ”
Mika says, laughing. She thought it was one of Gon’s usual jokes
Gon's embarrassment and anxiety instantly changed into frustration and anger.
"That's your answer?"
, he snapped, stepping closer to Mika.
"I've loved you for years, and this is the best you can do... laugh it off?!"
He leans in to confront her, his face mere inches from hers.
"I'm... I'm not joking,"
he whispers, his voice breaking.
"I love you, Mika. I've loved you for years. I would do anything for you."
His hands curl into fists as he attempts to hold back tears.
"I couldn't stand the thought of never telling you... of never having the chance to be together. So that's why I invited you here today."
" and all the things I gave you and did for you didn't matter, did they? You will regret this the next time you come to me with your problems or crying when Killua breaks your heart."
Mika was silent for a moment, trying to figure out if he was serious or not. Finally, she spoke, her voice soft.
"Gon, you...you know I have strong feelings for Killua. I've had strong feelings for Killua, ever since we were kids."
Gon lets out a small sigh, his expression softening. He knew what Mika was talking about, but there was one small shred of hope in his mind that maybe the feelings he held for Mika went both ways.
"Yes, I know that, and I've tried to get over it,"
Gon admits quietly.
"But I can't stop these feelings. And I know it's probably selfish, but I want to be with you. To protect you, care for you, and be around you every second of the day."
Gon scoffs and pushes past Mika, his temper taking control.
"Obviously I do. You've rubbed it in my face the entire time,"
he grumbles, turning his back on her.
"If you had any consideration for my feelings, you would have cut contact with Killua a long time ago. But no, you just used me to get closer to him."
The bitterness was evident in his words, despite his back being turned away from Mika.
“Gon, look into my eyes now,”
Mika says seriously
With a sigh, Gon closes his eyes and turns back to face her. He looks directly into the beautiful emerald eyes that had captured his heart so many years ago.
"What do you want, Mika?"
“But you were the one who helped me get closer to Killua. I saw you happy that Killua and I were together. What’s the matter now? You’re not happy with us.”
She explains as she approaches him.
"Yes... I was happy for you at first," Gon admits, his heart rate decreasing a smidge.
"But your relationship has made me a third wheel. I'm never included, yet I'm the one helping you and Killua whenever you have problems."
"It's like I'm an afterthought to you. I don't like that."
" I mean How can you be this ignorant?!"
"I put my feelings aside, and acted happy for you, for Killua... because I love you!"
He glances away for a moment before locking his eyes with Mika again.
"But deep down inside, I was always jealous... always wishing that I could be there in Killua's place"
He swallows a lump in his throat, trying to hold back his emotions
Mika leans closer to Gon as a smile spreads across her face. She places her hand on his cheek and gently pulls him towards her.
"Gon, you know that Killua is all I have, just like you, but you are my best friend "
She whispered, her eyes locked on his.
Gon's shock and anger slowly dissipate as she moves closer, replaced with something else entirely. He looks down at Mika with love shining in his eyes, and reaches down to cup her face.
"Mika, I love you more than anything in the world,"
he whispers.
"I may have said otherwise out of bitterness, but deep down, I always knew we belonged together."
He reaches out, resting his forehead against Mika's, the sound of waves crashing in the background. She was everything to him. She was his home.
"No, Gon, you're just my friend...."
Mika was trying to explain to him, but Gon still insisted on his opinion.
Gon's face turned to pure rage at her response.
"Are you serious?!"
he yelled, stepping away and turning his back to face the ocean.
"A friend? *Friends* don't look at eachother the way I look at you! *Friends* don't care so much about the other!"
He clenches his fists and scoffs, trying to hold back tears.
"Friends... that's why I did everything for you, right? That's why I put on a fake smile when you and Killua would be together..."
"It's just because you're a good friend. Gon. You just gave up your love for your friend Killua. Isn't that what you want for Killua to be happy?"
Mika replies.
Gon shakes his head and leans onto the railing, his body trembling.
"*I want to be happy too,*"
he mumbles, his voice filled with emotion.
"I want to be with you, Mika... not watch you with him."
Sitting there against the railing, he tries to hide his face.
"I just can't understand, I've always done everything for you, and now you can't even consider me? I've always had your back, and all of this... it means nothing?"
Gon whirls around and faces Mika, pure fury in his eyes.
"Stop trying to twist my words, Mika. I want you to be happy above everything else. But you don't seem to understand what I've put up with for all these years... how much I loved you."
Gon is seething with anger, but he swallows his pride and tries to calm himself down.
"I... I thought that you might be able to return my feelings, even if just a bit. I was delusional, sure, but... I had to say something."
Gon closes his eyes and turns to face the sea again.
“Gon,”
Mika held his cheek and wiped away his tears.
Gon looks at Mika, trying to hold back more tears.
"Mika, I don't want to be friends anymore,"
he whispers.
"I can't watch you be with Killua anymore... I can't do this."
"So please... please consider my feelings this one time... I'm always there for you, and never get anything in return..."
Gon's throat catches as he tries to speak past the lump in his throat.
"Why do you put me in this difficult situation? You know that I care about you, but you are just making me choose between you and Killua,"
Mika says as she looks at the sea.
"I don't want you to choose,"
Gon says softly.
"I know that you care about me, and I know that Killua is the love of your life. But..."
He trails off, biting his lip as he remembers the feelings of jealousy and hurt he has always felt around Killua.
"Mika, I always tried to put my pride aside and be there for you. I always put your feelings before mine... and you just rejected my confession... do you know how much pain that causes me?"
Gon's eyes are pleading as he looks at Mika, his voice shaking.
"Isn't that what I've been doing for years by keeping my feelings hidden... watching you and Killua instead of pursuing what I want?"
"I know it's selfish to ask this of you..."
His words are cut off as he chokes back more tears, his eyes red and puffy.
"But please, Mika... consider the way I feel. Just once."
Burying his face in her chest was his habit when he was sad.
Mika had calmed him down in the past when they were together before they met Killua in the hunter exam.
Gon quickly wraps his arms around Mika's waist, burying his face in her chest and letting out a long sigh. She was home.
He had always been comfortable when he had done this in the past, but now there was more to it than comfort. This was love.
He reaches a hand up to play with Mika's hair as he takes in the scent of her perfume.
Gon nuzzles up to Mika, burying his face underneath her chin and trying to find comfort from his heartbreak. After a moment of trying to calm himself, he speaks again, his voice muffled by her shirt.
"Mika, please... I've always cared deeply for you,"
he whispers.
"I couldn't bear it if my feelings went unrequited. Could you... could you try to view me the way I see you? I don't want you to choose between me and Killua... but I can't keep living this lie."
“Gon, I can’t love you back when I’m already dating Killua.”
Her waist tightens as soon as she mentions Killua.
Gon pulls back to face Mika again, his face full of anger and grief at her response.
"I... know,"
he whispers.
"But why did you keep me around... knowing how I felt about you? We were together long before you and Killua."
Gon sighs and looks away to face the ocean once again, fighting back tears.
"The truth is... I just can't bear to watch you and Killua together. I've tried to put my feelings aside, but I can't ignore them any longer. It hurts too much."
Gon could remember the feelings of envy, anger, and despair that would fill him every time she would be with Killua.
The little kisses she would give him, the way she would put on a smile for him despite the conflicts they have had.
He remembered how he would try to put these feelings aside for her, trying to convince himself that this is what she wanted. But the truth was, Gon only loved Mika. He always had
Gon looks at Mika with a sad smile, her love for Killua apparent in every word and action. His eyes fall to the floor, remembering the countless times he watched her being comforted by Killua after they had a fight.
"I understand, Mika."
Gon's voice is soft and somber.
"Killua has always been the one to make you smile. He has a way with you. You always tell me about all of the great things he says that make you feel loved."
He looks at her again, his voice even quieter than before.
"I just wish I could do the same."
Gon's mind is suddenly filled with an image of Mika and Killua together, her hugging him and kissing him.
His grip tightens around his fist as he remembers all the times she and Killua were together, while Gon was always just the third wheel.
"Do you even remember when we were together?"
Gon asks softly, trying to keep from yelling.
"I treated you differently... I listened to you, and made sure every moment we spent together was special. But you just forget that, when you're with Killua."
“No, Gon,I will not forget ...”
but Gon interrupted her.
"Then why can't you return my feelings?"
Gon whispers.
"I treated you the way you *deserve* to be treated, Mika. So why can't I have your love? What did Killua do that I didn't, or couldn't?"
Gon's voice is full of pain and heartbreak, despite trying his best to keep control.
"Just... tell me what I did wrong, Mika. Why am I never good enough for you?"
Gon's heart breaks at Mika's words. Her description of Killua matches his memory perfectly -
he was the embodiment of perfection, the most beautiful person in the world. Gon could never compare to that, with his simple face and average features.
Gon's voice is filled with self-doubt as he recalls all of Killua's amazing qualities.
"Killua just has so many things I don't..."
he whispers.
"He's more intelligent than me, stronger than me, and just... more masculine."
Gon hangs his head and sighs, ashamed by his thoughts.
"I... I couldn't ever be like Killua, even if I tried,"
he says softly.
"I'm just an average boy, Mika. I'll never be good enough for you."
"What the hell are you saying, Gon, you're also very handsome,"
Mika says, but Gon won't believe her.
It was impossible for Gon to believe her, not when he could see the love in her eyes when she looks at Killua. Mika must be blinded by love for her to even consider saying such a thing.
Gon shakes his head and sighs, trying to stay calm despite the anger that was building up within him.
"Fine, I might be handsome... but not as much as Killua, am I right?"
He glances at Mika, waiting for a response.
"No, you and Killua are very handsome. You will find a girl. She will love you as much as I love Killua,"
Mika said while stroking his hair. Gon did not like the idea of loving another girl other than Mika.
Gon's temper rises when Mika speaks about him finding another girl, and he quickly turns away with a frustrated smirk. "Another girl... yes, just what I want to hear from the person who rejected me a moment ago."
Gon's expression fills with despair as he contemplates his future.
"I don't want another girl, just like I never wanted anyone except for you. But... if you're forcing my hand, I guess I have no choice but to move on..."
"Yes, this is it. If you forget, you will find the girl who will love you."
Gon's expression turns to pure anger at Mika's words. He didn't want to forget her... he would always remember this moment, and the heartbreak he felt.
"And you and Killua think I can just move on and forget about everything so easily?"
Gon shouts. He steps closer to Mika with fury in his eyes.
"Fine. I'll move on from you. You'll see how wrong you are, when you realize that you meant the world to me."
“Gon, calm down.”
But Gon lifted her from the ground with his arms.
Gon's arms wrap around Mika with force, lifting her off the ground and holding her close to him. He grits his teeth and leans down to stare at her face, trying to make her listen to him.
"No, I won't calm down,"
he says quietly.
"After everything I've done for you... I can't believe you would just throw me to the side and sa 'Just move on.' It's not that simple, Mika."
"I can't love you....I love Killua...more than anything in the world. Gon...you know this. You see me when I look at him. I can see myself dying for him."
Mika replies angrily.
Gon's grip tightens around Mika upon hearing her response. He couldn't deny the truth... she would go through literal hell for Killua. It never mattered how he treated Mika, yet she always ran back to him.
Gon's mind flashes to memories of Killua being nothing but cruel and manipulative, while Mika sat in the rain crying her eyes out. Yet she still loved him. This just couldn't be right.
"Why not me? Why can't I be the one you love the most?"
Gon's voice is soft, but his expression gives away the intensity of his feelings.
"You know that Killua doesn't mean anything when he fights with me. He tells me he's sorry when he calms down,"
Mika explains to him.
Gon is at a loss for words. He knew that Killua always came back to Mika, apologizing every time he hurt her... but in all this time, Gon hadn't even received a single apology.
He had always known that Killua was Mika's main love interest, but this was different. She was choosing Killua over him, despite all the times he had treated her poorly.
Gon was always there for Mika, trying his best to understand her feelings and care for her heart. Yet she always put Killua above him. What did Killua have that Gon didn't?
"That's no excuse, Mika, if he ever truly loved you he wouldn't need to be told to apologize,"
Gon counters. He can understand some arguments here and there with their significant other... but if Killua can only
"love"
Mika when he needs to say sorry after being cruel to her... that's not real love.
Gon lets his arms fall to his sides, releasing Mika as he realizes he's just grasping at straws.
"It doesn't matter. What matters is that you can't love me the way I love you. And that's just the harsh reality."
"What do you want, for example, if I date you and Killua at the same time? Don't make me laugh,"
Mika replies.
Gon chuckles and shakes his head at Mika's response, as if her question is ridiculous.
"Of course not. But I don't like that Killua's the only one who can break through your walls, and you only love and appreciate him."
Gon scoffs and rolls his eyes.
"You have such double standards. Killua can be cruel to you, but he always apologizes afterward so it's fine... meanwhile, if I do the slightest thing that displeases you you never give me the opportunity to make it up. It isn't fair."
Gon draws closer to her, his eyes locked solely on Mika's lips. He wants nothing more than to kiss away all of her troubles, to take away all the pain she feels towards Killua and show her what true love feels like.
He can't believe how unfair the situation is, that Killua can hurt Mika and still get away happily, while Gon gives everything to help her and gets nothing in return.
As his thumb gently caresses Mika's lips, Gon feels his heart begin to ache from the love he wants to give her.
Gon moves in close, trying desperately to get back Mika's attention. His thumb gently rests on her soft, red lips as he looks into her eyes.
"Mika, you drive me crazy,"
he whispers, his eyes full of emotion.
“No, Gon, don’t even think about kissing me.”
She moves his hands away from her lips
Gon's jaw tightens at her response, making it clear that he wants to kiss her despite her rejection.
"Why not?"
He asks softly.
"Why is Killua the only one who can give you kisses and make you feel special?"
Mika was so obsessed with Killua that no one else even came before her thoughts of him... Gon never stood a chance, and that hurts.
“No gon don’t”
she looks away.
At that moment, Gon's emotions take over, and his lips find Mika's. He kisses her, not forcefully, but passionately.
His need to show her his affection and love overpowers any sense of fear about the consequences of his act of love, and Gon refuses to back down as he holds Mika in his arms, pouring everything he feels into the kiss.
His heart beat faster and his chest began to ache, but in that moment, it was all worth it for Gon. He wanted Mika to feel the love he held so deeply for her.
Mika broke the kiss and looked at him angrily,
“Gon, how could you do this?”
she hit his shoulder hard.
Gon flinches as Mika hits his shoulder, but after a moment he turns to face her, his gaze fixed on her face, despite her anger. Gon's eyes fill with tears as the weight of Mika's pain and anger hits his heart.
"If I can't show you my love through my words, I guess I had to do it through my actions,"
Gon whispers.
"I couldn't bear the thought of never sharing a moment like that with you."
He reaches out to touch her face, brushing away a tear that he saw running down her cheek.
“You really don’t understand me being as stubborn as before.”
She covers her face with her hands and sighs,
“I don’t know what to tell you now.”
She looks at him.
"I understand that I can't force you to accept my feelings, but... please just try to see things from my perspective," Gon says gently. I feel as if I'm second to Killua, and that you could never love me like you love him."
"This has nothing to do with being stubborn... it's about how much I love you, Mika. Can't you understand that?"
Gon touches her face again, wiping away another tear.
Gon smiles sadly at Mika, his eyes still full of tears.
"Do you love me at all?"
he asks softly, his voice breaking as he fights to hold back his emotion.
"Even if just a tiny bit, please... do you love me?"
Gon looks away from her, too afraid to see her answer. If she rejected him again, the pain would be too great.
Gon tries his best to ignore Mika's reluctance. She's always been so stubborn, even when they were together, so he isn't going to take any "no" from her now.
"I don't need you to say anything, Mika,"
Gon whispers, taking a step closer to her.
"All I want is for you to be my love. I've given you your time, and now I'm asking for mine."
He caresses her cheek and then her hair, his touch gentle and soft.
"I know that I can give you so much more joy than Killua does."
When Mika was about to refuse, as usual, Gon grabbed her mouth with his hands in anger and sadness
This time, Gon's emotions take control completely. He grabs Mika by her cheeks and holds her in place, preventing her from moving or speaking. He is tired of chasing after her... tired of trying to put his feelings aside for her happiness.
With tears in his eyes, he brings his face up close to Mika's.
"No more playing hard to get,"
Gon whispers.
"I am not going to lose you to someone who treats you so unfairly."
The words may be a little harsh, but in that moment, Gon wants nothing more than to kiss Mika and never see her with Killua again.
Mika hits his hands lightly as a sign that he should let her go, but he refuses.
Gon tightens his hold on Mika, trying to force her to accept.
"I'm not going to hear *no* anymore. I have already given everything you wanted for your relationship with Killua, it's about time I got what I want. But if you'd rather be with a jerk like Killua instead of me, then that's your choice."
Gon's grip on Mika's face tightens, and his eyes narrow with fury. He's done putting Mika's feelings above his own... it's time that Gon stopped being the scapegoat and got the girl.
"I've always treated you with love and respect,"
Gon says, his voice quivering.
"I should be the one that gets to love you... not Killua..."
He stops himself before finishing the sentence, suddenly feeling guilty for wanting to say such things. But it's too late. His actions have already changed their relationship.
Gon's grip tightens as he continues to hold Mika in place, not wanting to let her go.
"Stop trying to fight it,"
he whispers.
"I have always loved you, Mika, far deeper than anyone else ever could. You can't deny that... you know that to be true."
There is fire in his heart and tears in his eyes. Gon is so close to Mika, he feels her eyes locked onto him as he stares at her mouth.
"I want to kiss you right now, Mika... so I won't let you escape."
"I am not going to listen to your 'no's anymore,"
Gon whispers
. "My only choice now is to force you to accept my feelings, because I will not lose you to Killua."
He presses his lips forcefully to Mika's own, not allowing her a moment to speak or resist. Gon needs her to accept his love, and he refuses to be held back by her stubbornness for a moment longer.
Gon holds Mika strongly in his grip, refusing to let her escape. He pulls them closer together, until they are inches apart. Gon's mind is filled with the desire to kiss Mika, and he feels his breath catching in his throat as he stares into her eyes.
"I've wanted to do this for so long,"
Gon whispers.
"I never wanted to kiss anyone but you."
With one swift motion, Gon pulls Mika close and brings their lips together in a fiery and passionate kiss. He feels their bodies brushing against one another and hears her breath quicken.
Gon pushes Mika up against a wall, not allowing her to move as he forces his lips to hers. He wants to make his point heard, while making up for all the kisses he missed out on as they were together.
There was something about kissing Mika that filled him with joy and love, something he had never felt with any other person.
He didn't want to lose her, or let her go... he was finally done letting Killua come between the two of them.
Mika heard Killua's voice downstairs...oh coming upstairs...Mika broke the kiss and was pleading with Gon,
"Gon, please, Killua is coming. He will see us like this, please."
Gon looks up at Mika with a panicked expression, his lips still touching hers as he tries to decide what to do.
"Killua... he doesn't deserve you,"
Gon whispers.
"You're all that I want, but if he comes in here I won't be able to keep you here with me."
At this point, Gon was willing to do anything to keep Mika from running to Killua's arms again. He would never forgive himself, but he knew this was his last chance to win Mika's heart once and for all.
She pushes him away from her and runs downstairs until she finds Killua. She goes and hugs him tightly,
"Killua, I'm back,"
Mika says as she buries her face in his neck.
Gon looks to see Mika running down the stairs, going straight to Killua. He could not help but feel heartbreak in that moment, but he could not bring himself to interrupt them. He takes one last look at the two, their arms wrapped around each other, before making his way downstairs as well.
Gon would never admit it, but he felt like a fool compared to Killua. He could never break Mika's walls the way Killua always could, so he felt helpless against their love. It was not fair... but Gon knew he had done everything that he could.
"Killua, where have you been? You're too late,"
Mika says, trying to be normal.
Killua looks up at Mika and gives her a small smile.
"I'm sorry, I had some business to attend to."
Gon just stands quietly, not wanting to disturb the moment between the two. Once again, he saw how easy it was for Killua to get Mika to forgive him and melt into his embrace. Even after all that Killua has done to her, he always came out on top.
Gon could not hate Killua... he only hated that he stood no chance against his affection.
Killua looks at Mika, noticing that she is shaking quite a bit.
"Mika, you're shaking. Are you okay?"
Gon turns to leave the room, trying not to overstep his bounds. He wants to give the two of them some time alone, but cannot help but feel jealousy once again.
"I'm going to go get some air,"
Gon mumbles softly, before quickly exiting the room and closing the door behind him.
After Mika saw that Gon was gone, she started crying hard in Killua's arms.
Killua holds onto Mika tightly as he hears her begin to cry. He is both surprised and concerned, as it's not often that he has seen Mika cry.
"What's wrong, Mika?"
Killua asks gently, rocking her back and forth. He looks back at the closed door with a curious expression on his face.
"Did Gon do something to make you cry?"
Mika stays silent and shakes her head no
Killua looks at Mika, his face filled with concern, but she denies his question with a shake of her head. Killua's eyes go back to the door, realizing that Gon must have done something.
"Was it Gon?"
Killua asks again as his arms wrap more securely around Mika. He wanted nothing more to help her in some way.
He may be annoyed with Gon, but he still cared deeply for Mika and wanted to make sure that her heartbreak wouldn't lead her to do something drastic.
"No, no, it wasn't just him. Let's go now. We've been on Whale Island for a long time... Let's go now, please."
She begs him as she hugs him tighter.
Killua's expression shifts after hearing Mika's response. He could tell that there was more to the story, yet Mika wouldn't tell him what exactly happened. She just wanted to go... and that's the last thing Killua wanted to do.
"No, Mika, what's wrong?"
He asks again, refusing to let her move an inch from his side.
"You need to tell me. I won't let you run away without an explanation."
Killua became serious this time as he held her cheeks to look at him
“I told you nothing. You know that sometimes I cry for no reason,”
she laughed hugely.
Killua keeps a firm grasp on Mika's cheeks, holding his gaze on her face. He wants to know what's going on, yet Mika continues to deny it. She tries to brush off her crying with laughter, but Killua can tell that it's more than just that.
"Mika, I'm not letting you leave with that excuse."
Killua's eyes soften for a moment as he searches for a way to help her.
"You wouldn't be this serious if there was nothing wrong."
Killua keeps his eyes fixed on Mika despite her pleas to leave. He knows that she's hiding something, and refuses to just let her go off and cry alone somewhere.
"Don't lie to me,"
Killua says forcefully.
"Yes, you might randomly cry sometimes, but I know there's a specific reason for this time. So please, just tell me."
Killua's grasp on Mika's cheeks doesn't relax one bit, showing how serious he is about getting the truth out of her.
Mika had to lie, not wanting to ruin Killua and Gon's friendship .
"It's just that I'm on my period and my stomach hurts. That's all. You know it hurts a little,"
Mika says shyly.
Killua's expression changes from one of anger to surprise after hearing Mika's response. He blinks his eyes, as if trying to confirm what he heard.
"Oh, that's... that's it?"
He lets his arms drop to his sides and lets go of her cheeks.
"Well, you could've just told me."
He chuckles silently, shaking his head in disbelief as Mika tried to fool him.
"Come on then, let's get you back to your room. Maybe you can take a rest if your stomach isn't feeling good."
He starts walking out of the room, waiting for Mika to follow.
Killua's eyes light up when Mika grabs his hand, and he smiles down at her. He gives her small fingers a light squeeze before starting to walk out of the room with her by his side.
"I suppose I was a bit too overprotective earlier, huh?"
he jokes softly, his smile still present, but his tone more serious than usual.
Killua leads Mika down the hallway and towards his room, where he opens the door and lets her walk in first. He wanted to make sure that everything was alright with her before he headed to his own room.
“Killua, I want you to sleep with me tonight...I don’t want to sleep alone,”
Mika says, holding his hands tightly. He and Mika usually slept together, but since they were at Aunt Mito's house, it was embarrassing
Killua's face flushes as his mind races at the request. While he knew Mika enjoyed it when they slept in the same bed, he never realized that she was actually afraid of sleeping alone.
Killua takes a deep breath and nods his head.
"Of course,"
he replies, closing the door before turning back to look at her.
"Do you want me to lay down next to you, or do you want to cuddle while we sleep?"
Killua asks softly, his blush still present.
She extends her hand to him as if she wants to hug him.
Killua sees Mika extending her hand, and is tempted to pick her up and carry her to bed like the princess that she was. However, he decides to show a bit of restraint this time.
Instead, Killua walks closer to Mika, slowly wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace. He lays his head on her shoulder and nuzzles his face into her hair, loving the feeling of her warmth.
"I'm here, Mika,"
he whispers.
"We can cuddle and go to sleep together."
She buries her face in his neck,
"Killua, despite everything that's happening, I know that I love you...you're everything to me."
Mika says.
Killua smiles at Mika's words, his arms still wrapped around her tightly.
His heart begins to fill with joy at the thought of being the one who Mika loves.
He knew that he loved her, but to hear those words come from Mika's mouth directly makes him feel like the luckiest person in the world.
"I love you too,"
Killua replies softly. He brings his lips close to Mika's ear, his breath warm as he speaks.
"And nothing will ever change that."
He wraps his arms around Mika's body once more, letting her rest in his embrace as the two of them lay on the bed.
He can tell that she's tired, and wants her to get a good night's sleep, especially after feeling sick.

Hoi! First of all I saw all your HxH stuff and I loved it! I was wondering if I can request a Killua x Reader x Gon headcanons where the reader is like Anya Forger from Spy x Family, and also makes the same faces he does? You don't have to write about it if you don't want to, thanks ❤️
Killua and Gon being friends with a reader who is like Anya (Spyxfamily)
Tumblr media
Genre: fluff
Pairing: Platonic! Killua x reader x Gon
Warning(s): -
Ahoi, anon! I'm glad you like my work, and thank you for the request! I wasn't sure if you had meant being like Anya only personality wise or everything wise so I just made it everything wise, I hope that doesn't bother you!
Tumblr media
You're an interesting one, indeed.
When the three of you first met, Killua almost immediately noticed how you knew everything that was about to come out of his mouth, and it didn't take him long before he found out about your telepathic abilities.
As for Gon... Well, let's just say he's not the brightest when it comes to figuring things out.
"Wow, (Y/n)! It's like you can read my mind!" -Gon
"ohhhh you think so...? *Nervous laughter*" -You
You're always the one to warn them if something is about to go wrong or somebody is trailing after the three of you.
You're not smart, not Gon level smart, but still not smart, which annoys Killua but he puts up with it either way 'cause you're "a useful asset" (ulternative meaning: his friend)
You can still fend for yourself! Just not in the smartest of ways.
Sometimes (Often times) you jump into dangerous situations because of your high moral compass, despite the fact you are completely powerless and standing before a whole gang of men with guns loaded in either hand. Gon takes your action as a free encouragement ticket to do the same, now the two of you (dumbasses) are trying to talk murderers out of robbing a bank,
Killua, being the sane one, is always the one to grab the two of you and throw you over his shoulder or under his arm and bolt away, while simultaneously screaming every insult he could think of,
Remember that scene where Killua was running away from Palm with Gon tucked under his arm? Yeah, something like that but with you added to the equation, and it happens like once each month,
Killua is like a sleep deprived parent who has two kids who constantly need to be strapped to leashes.
Gon and Killua shuffle away from you when you make that unique face of yours, it looks like you're smiling but at the same time planning a murder, it freaks them out...!
You do that face whenever someone's getting on your nerve and you don't want to get heated or show your frustration.
It annoys Killua how you get excited over things that are... Not supposed to be exciting, for instance, you're about to face off an extremely strong and ruthless nen user, but for some odd reason, you're smiling like an idoit, your body shaking with excitement. That also goes for the time the three of you were following some members of the phantom troupe, and you were all giddy and excited. And killua just stares at you like... '??????'. Gon is as confused as Killua, but less judgemental, he just accepts it. 'to each their own'
Since they know you get overwhelmed in crowded areas or in areas with lots of conflict, they try their best to avoid places with large crowds for your sake.
Killua and gon always tell you things telepathically, and if they're mad at eachother and are giving ecahother the silent treatment, you're going to be the one to have to listen to them as they angrily rant about the other in their heads. You have to either wait until they forgive eachother (which usually doesn't take long) or help them make amends to get a break from their endless complaining.

Analysis of Kite's conflicting moralities, relationship with death, and the toll reincarnation may take on one's psyche
So, today I decided to compile all the thoughts I have had about Kite's interesting worldview since the first time I saw him into one post, mostly for my own sake, really. If you're familiar with the few posts I've made, you know it's gonna be a mess, but hopefully a comprehensible mess.
A heads up, this is going to be spoiler-heavy, and very much deal with subjects of death and dying as a whole. Also, some of these conclusions are drawn from my own experiences and close brushes with death, I'm not going to go into much detail but it might get personal and definitely dark. I'm not even sure if I can call this a meta-analysis, and I'm obviously no expert, so mayhaps take all of this with a grain of salt.
Been getting into drawing lately, and during the more simple and mindless part of the painstaking process of dotting every single star in this, I let my thoughts wander through the latest part of the fic I'm writing, and I got a better grasp on what exactly made Kite such an elusive character to me.
I'm not quite sure why I got so attached to Kite. Perhaps it was the air of tragedy surrounding him, how despite his sordid past he remained still open and gentle even if outlined by a healthy dose of cynicism.
But sometimes, I think it's the fact that he is so paradoxical. He's brave, yet fears death to such a degree that creates a whole Nen ability around it, is a pacifist yet will not hesitate to spill blood for his own sake or someone else's. Despite the many ultimatums and warnings of 'I will not protect you', he gave his arm and then his life to save Gon and Killua. He approaches each hunt and battle with a clear plan of action in mind, but his Hatsu takes the form of a roulette that gives him random weapons which are never what he wants, but what he seems to need for that exact situation, which he cannot dispel without using. When he draws a weapon, the decision is locked in and his or his opponent's fate is sealed. That's why each time he dubbs his weapon a bad roll. Every time he has to gamble, he sees himself as having run out of luck. When it comes to having to choose between himself and somebody else...well, there had never been a choice. In fact his aversion to using it may feed into its sheer power that we, unfortunately, saw too little of.
Let's go over his very first appearance when he saves Gon from the mother Foxbear.
It's not hard to see the strain searching for Ging has put on him; he's rash, prone to anger and punching a child for daring to get into trouble. In his mind, he's failing at his most important task, has not yet earned the right to call himself a hunter despite being in possession of his very own hunter license.
After killing the mother Foxbear and raging about having done so, he says this interesting line:
Tumblr media
So yes, he finds killing for any reason rather irksome as most would do, yet I think something deeper caused him to absolutely lose it in this scene:
He had not been aware of Gon's identity, and despite being an animal lover and a naturalist, he made a choice to save the human instead of allowing nature to run its course. In fact, he says: 'No beast that harms a human must be allowed to live.'
How does one weight one life against another? How is the worth of it determined? The value of life... an impossible choice he's faced with and a choice which he seems to regret to some degree.
The Foxbear cub.
Tumblr media
Here, he's speaking from experience, a tangible loss he has felt himself, and a hard and bitter life he does not want to impose on the cub.
His backstory is exclusive to the 2011 anime adaptation but there are hints alluding to it in the manga, for example, the fact that he does not seem to know his birthplace, or:
Tumblr media
The choice of words is chilling.
Reading between the lines, one could draw the conclusion that he is an orphan. Something supporting this hypothesis is how he visibly deflates after Gon tells him his parents have (presumably) died.
So we see he is willing to go against his own moral code of not killing as to not doom another living being to the life he led, a lonely, hopeless existence that could barely be called one. He saw it best to put down the cub rather than leave it to die a painful, slow death.
The reason Kite himself isn't as cynical and cold-hearted as one would be after witnessing cruelty in its rawest form is those small crumbs of human kindness which he may have found in Ging.
It was not only a chance at an honorable life being Ging's apprentice gave him, but it also 'saved' him from being broken and twisted into what he hated and worst of all, death.
If we take that one minute of backstory as canon to his character-which I find myself inclined to do- these quirks of his make much more sense. He lived on the run. He lived on the knife's edge between giving up or pushing forwards. He lived as so a wrong move could be the difference between survival and the end.
Between rock and a hard place creates a mentality of black and white, absolute good or extreme evil, this or that. Except in reality, it's much harder than that. Deciding who to save and who to strike down is a heavy burden to bear.
It's almost easy to see how struggling to keep surviving could lend itself to a crippling fear of death and subsequently developing a Nen ability which once more goes against his own moral code in order to give himself a second chance...yet something about it strikes me as unlikely when I look at it this way.
Living life knowing it could end at any moment has the opposite effect, at least for me it did. One comes to accept that it is fleeting and while not eager to let it go, when death eventually and inevitably does come, there is no fighting it.
Especially when there is no hope that tomorrow will be a better day than this one.
Frequent near-death experiences numb one's fear in a way, even if it drives them to take precautions that render it unlikely to happen again and results in c-PTSD, but still, it does. It sparks a certain nihilistic view of 'if it all can end so easily, then what's the point of it all?'
Unless there are things to live for, a sure promise of a better future, and Ging gave Kite that. When he faced the threat of losing his second chance at life:
Tumblr media
Really, what else could lead someone to develop the ability of 'the hell I'm going to die like this'?
I think a separate event, an even more brutal near-death experience that almost cost him his life as the hunter he so strived to be set him off to develop the secret roll of Crazy Slots, what I call Roll No.0, Ars moriendi. Unlike other weapons, it cannot come up in random and is directly summoned by him, or better said, summon by his overwhelming will to keep going and hopelessness of fighting a losing battle. I don't believe roll No.3 was the weapon that allowed him to reincarnate. I've named that one Wand of Fortune, a sort of armor instead of an offensive weapon since I find it hard to believe Kite, a Conjurer, would not focus on defences as well, and I will go into both mechanisms of these weapons hopefully in his backstory.
Tumblr media
Despite knowing this battle to be a pointless one and being acutely aware of his soon to be demise, he did not immediately draw Ars moriendi, no, he stayed back and fought for the sake of the boys, kept Neferpitou occupied until they could reach safety. We can see evidence of this in the aftermath of the battle that seemed to have gone on until dawn, a torn apart landscape only signaling a fraction of the devastation that was Kite's power unleashed. It still wasn't enough.
In the anime sub I watched, when Gon apologizes to Ging about Kite's death, Ging said a sentence that infuriated me, because it belittled the utter suffering of the NGL trio.
"He would not die in your place." (No screenshot, sorry)
And I remember practically shouting at the screen, screaming 'how could you possibly say that? Of course he did. He absolutely did die in their place. How could you not know your own apprentice? Why-'
It was only last night that it hit me why Ging would say that.
Once upon a time, maybe Kite would not have given his life for anybody under any circumstances, even if he had a way out of it all. He would still need to die to come back to life.
His Thanatophobia could be attributed to the (possibly untreated) PTSD of the near-death experience in his later life, being so certain of dying that finding himself alive afterwards drove him to never want to go through that again. He quieted his fear by creating a sort of a loophole, that even if he lost the battle he would remain. Ging remembered that, but as evidence shows, something changed. Maybe he healed a bit, perhaps growing up dulled his fear to a certain degree, but eventually when it came down to his life or another's, he didn't choose himself.
Now, I can hear you saying 'but he didn't die, so what are you going on about??' And so I reply: Yes, he is alive, but he did die. He experienced that painful, horrible moment of staring death in the eyes and thinking 'This is it, this is the end', went through the actual process of having his soul removed from his body. And that moment stretches into infinity, ten lifetimes condensed into the mere seconds before oblivion.
Dying isn't so hard if one stays dead.
It's not so easy to open one's eyes and find oneself alive again after that, no matter how much that is the heart's desire. It's difficult, nigh-impossible to reconcile with life and walk amongst the living when everything had been so final, when death had been accepted to its fullest.
So Kite awakens, the twin of Meruem and back from the dead, his mind and identity both intact and fractured. In that he is Kite is no mistaking, yet he is not the same gentle pacifist whose first reaction upon sensing a monster's aura was to shield two kids from it at the cost of his arm.
I don't think many of you are familiar with Zoroastrian ideology, but Togashi is known for loving his religious imagery, and it's not only Christianism he derives inspiration from (evidence of which can be seen all over Kite's character and resurrection).
In Zurvanism-a branch of Zoroastrianism- there is talk of the twin spirits: Ahura Mazda -epitome of all that is good- and Ahriman -epitome of all that is evil-, the parent god Zurvin decides that the firstborn may rule in order to bring "heaven, hell, and everything in between."
Upon becoming aware of this fact, Ahriman forcibly tears through the womb to emerge first. Sounding familiar yet?
Zurvan relents to this turn of events only on one condition: Ahriman is given kingship for 9000 years, and then Ahura Mazda may rule for eternity.
Meruem ruled for 40 days, his death leaving the throne vacant for ant Kite, wearing a dead girl's face and seeming to be brewing some nefarious plan. No more is there any sign of that unrelenting pacifism and the sanctity of life he held so high, losing his own may have only served to show him how meaningless the pain and suffering he went through had been, dying only to be reborn as a member of the species that killed him. It may be that he has no desire to rule over the remaining Chimera ants or create an army of his own-
Yet I dread to think what a broken mind possessing limitless power might do to the world.
And that's it. If you made it this far, thank you for reading! If you found it interesting, stay tuned, as I think a lot and I will make it your problem.

⋯✰⋯
Chapter 2–
You knew that if anyone outside of this car saw you right now, you might just pass away. To put it simply: You were sitting on Killua's lap.
All because Kite's truck only fit seven people.
The way this predicament came about would have been comical if it weren't for your burning embarrassment. Unfortunately, you could remember very clearly how it all unfolded:
"Hmm, it seems that there aren't enough seats for all eight of us, so one person will have to squish in," Kite said, opening the car door to check the seats.
"Who's the smallest one here?" Gon asked. All seven pairs of eyes turned to look at you.
Great. The benefits of never having had your growth spurt.
Killua was the one to open his mouth, snickering, "Obviously it's Y/N. She's like a midget!"
"Killua, you are literally an entire 2 ½ feet shorter than Kite over there," you defended yourself.
From a distance, you had guessed Kite was around 6'3. Once you got a closer look at him, you discovered that he towered over you like a skyscraper. Your curiosity got the best of you and naturally, you had asked him what his height was. The man was a whopping 7 foot 10.
"It's okay Y/N, you can squish with me," Gon offered.
Killua shook his head. "No way. Squishing will just make everyone uncomfortable. It's better if only one person suffers. Y/N, you can sit on my lap."
He had left no room for argument. Sighing, you knew that even if you tried, you had no say in this anymore. You would just have to suck it up for the next 4 hours.
Now you were here, sitting on him, worrying about whether you were cutting the circulation off to his legs or not. Or perhaps you were too bony and it was hurting him.
You could feel his warm breath on your neck, and it sent goosebumps across your entire body. This was beyond awkward.
"Stop it," Killua muttered, right in your ear.
Oh, you'd done it now, hadn't you? Killua was gonna push you off onto Gon instead.
"Stop what?"
"You're so stiff, just...relax," he paused, "I don't mind sitting this way."
Hearing his voice so close to you sent butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
Maybe this was okay.
You untensed, trying to adjust yourself to a more comfortable position, but the bumpy car ride wasn't making it very easy. Kite ran over a rock, and without a seatbelt it sent you jerking upwards. Thanks to his fast reflexes, Killua gripped your waist, holding you tightly to his body.
"The seatbelt won't reach over the both of us, but this'll keep you from flying."
"Heh, thanks Killua. I think we should reach the beach in a bit..." you said, hoping that the thought of it being over soon might offer him some relief.
It doesn't matter who it is, being this close to someone could send anyone into a frenzy. You were hyper-aware of every one of his fingers grasping onto your waist. He wasn't lying. He was keeping you right there.
You'd just have to stop thinking about it, you told yourself. Or else you'd go crazy.
Trying to relax back into Killua like he had asked, you let your mind wander to the reason you were driving in the first place. The day before, the three of you had decided to stick with Kite and help him investigate the Chimera ants. The beach you were headed to now is supposed to have a clue about where the ant queen is located, so you could bring an end to the destruction before it starts. During the car ride, you had learned they were a truly deadly species. One bite of an innocent passerby, and they had the means to bring the entire human race to extinction.
You felt like something was starting. And your intuition was rarely wrong.
Gazing at Gon who had been talking with Kite for a while now, you noticed how his eyes crinkle into little smiles whenever he talks. You knew that having Kite around, his father's best friend, surely excited him to the bone. Gon was just oozing with optimism, without even trying. You could tell that just by being himself, he was keeping the spirits up of all eight in the group, not allowing any room for doubt or fear to creep into anyone's minds.
At that moment, you swore that whatever happened, you would be there to protect Gon and Killua. Even if it costs you everything.
Hopefully, this wasn't one of your friends' last few moments of tranquility. But if it was, you were determined to spend it well.
Resting your head against Killua, you hoped that he wouldn't mind if you indulged in this for just a moment. You were tired, having not gotten much rest since completing Greed Island and meeting Kite.
It didn't take much time for you to fall asleep to the rise and fall of Killua's steady breathing and his sweet vanilla scent. If you'd been awake, you might have even heard his heartbeat racing beneath you.
⋯✰⋯
You had finally reached the beach.
Killua had nudged you awake once you'd gotten there. You remembered how his blue eyes stared back at you as he poked your face, calling you an idiot for falling asleep, and you chuckled.
There was one thing you were clueless about; Killua had made sure not to move even once the whole rest of the car ride. He was nervous that he might disturb your peacefully sleeping form.
You were still pretty groggy as you looked out at the sea, the bright sun reflecting on the ocean's surface. You wanted to wiggle your toes in the sand, but you were there for a reason. To find anything that might lead to the Queen.
You searched in bushes, behind rocks, under seashells, and even used your nen to sift through as much sand as you could. So far, the group had ruled out the forest and deemed it difficult to know if the ant even ended up on the same island. That's when they decided to release the hellhound. Well- it wasn't a hellhound. It was the little dog you played with yesterday. Along with Gon.
Gon was following behind the dog on all floors, sniffing the ground as he went.
"He can do that?" You asked no one in particular.
"His nose is as sharp as a dog's," Killua responded, watching Gon with an amused look in his eye.
A couple minutes went by with no luck. The only thing the dog had found was a tree to pee on. It looked like the ant wasn't going to be on this island, though Kite had an idea.
"It may have washed ashore somewhere else. Which direction do the currents flow here?" Kite asked the two that had brought us down to the beach. One was short with brown skin and grey hair that sprouted up like hay, while the other had large glasses and two front teeth poking out from his mouth.
"The direction is reversed between day and night. And it also changes with the seasons. I've even heard it's different on certain days. So it'll be tough to pinpoint a location..." said Chipmunk Teeth. That's what you'd call him, since you hadn't gotten his name.
So basically, no one had any idea on how to find the Chimera Ant Queen.
"Continuing to search blindly is pointless. We should return to YorkNew and see if we can find any new leads there."
You heard the group around you agreeing with Kite. He and his friends began walking back to the truck already, but you stayed put. You would catch up to them later.
The ocean reminded you of your home. You thought you should say goodbye to it first.
Ripples of water lapped gently at your feet. You always had a connection with nature. Having lived in a small village located in the middle of a jungle most of your life, the earth had become your dearest friend. One of your earliest memories was from exploring the coves back at home. You stretched out your arm across the water, and watched the liquid softly rise to your hand as you called it.
That's why you chose this nen ability. It tied you to the elements. When you fought with it, together you were one body.
"Y/N, come on! Kite's threatening to leave without you," Gon waved you over. Taking one last look at the sea, you turned away.
The sun was already setting by the time you left for the city.
⋯✰⋯
Going back to YorkNew was the right decision. Now you all knew where to look.
Kite had discovered that the possibilities of the Chimera Ant landing in NGL were the highest. Apparently, NGL was a country populated with people who wanted to get away from machine civilization and live in nature.
You loved nature too, but you thought that was a little extreme. There was a reason you had to leave your beloved jungle behind.
"There may very well be a giant swarm of Chimera Ants already hunting humans down. If that's the case, my top priority will be saving them. You must be able to protect yourselves," Kite warned us.
"And if I am the one in trouble, you should escape without me."
At that, Gon and Killua looked unsettled. But backing down now was not an option.
"Got it," you said, breaking the silence and offering a kind nod to Kite, "and until the very last moment, the three of us will have your back."
"Yeah!" The other two boys concurred.
Now, you sat with Gon and Killua on an airship to NGL. The three of you were sitting on a bench, looking out of a window that framed velvet-peach clouds displaying brilliant silver linings.
Gon was reflecting on their last conversation with Kite.
"You said that Ging had a reason for bringing me and Kite together," he rested his arms and head on the window-frame.
Killua broke his sight from the clouds and looked at Gon.
"Yeah, I did."
"You're probably right. I don't know the reason, but I can't give up halfway, no matter what's going on. Otherwise, I'll disappoint Ging... And I'd never be able to forgive myself either. So I won't run away," Gon continued, resolved with his decision.
There was a moment of silence as the three of you let his words sink in.
You admired Gon's determination, but you hated that Ging had a son risking his life just to avoid disappointing a dad he's never met.
"Man, you had this totally serious expression, so I was expecting something big. But it's just business as usual," Killua smiled.
"Huh?" Gon's mouth hung open. "I thought about this a lot, I even ran a bunch of mental simulations! And I liked what Y/N said earlier, about having Kite's back until the very end."
"Think all you want, but you'll still be Gon. If someone said to abandon them, you'd never do it," You lightly punched his shoulder.
He pouted, cradling where you hit him, and you rolled your eyes.
"Drama queen."
Gon chose to ignore that and turned back to Killua. "Then what would you do?'"
"I'm a spontaneous guy, so I'd think about it once the time comes."
"So, you'd run away?" Gon questioned.
"Depends. I can't say until it actually happens."
"Say for instance..."
Killua threw his hands up, beat, "I can't tell you what I'd do in a hypothetical situation!"
"Then, what about you Y/N?"
"Gon!" You whined.
Truth be told, you hadn't thought about what you would do. It depended like Killua said. But you did know one thing...
"I would never leave you two behind. Even if that meant I'd have to die."

You know you'd think Kurapika's temper would have come out of his trauma or something because it's so severe. But I remember in his backstory chapter when those guys called Pairo a slur, cripple, Kurapika was 100% ready to literally kill those people. Like he wasn't just beating them up he said "die" like holy shit. Makes me think that even back then Kurapika wasn't as happy go lucky as Gon. (if we're comparing 12 year old Kurapika to 12 year old Gon).
Ooooh ye Kurapika had a really quick temper even as a kid.
I think there’s still some things to compare him with Gon with as a kid. They both grew up in the wilderness, wanting more, wanting to see the world, admiring Hunters. They get excited when talking about the stuff they love.
Even there, they would both get really angry if you threaten people they love - just looking at how Gon reacted to Illumi after the incident with Killua. And in anger, they don’t exactly think through, Gon was ready to climb the wall of the Zoldyck family and Kurapika….. would lash out.
But I think that’s where the comparaison may stop, at least for them as kid, not mentioning their revenge journeys.
Kurapika is really over-protective and have a high sense of justice. He has shown that since for ever. And I think that might be a result also of growing up in such a sheltered village.
He mentions he used to know all 128 people of his village, he knew them all personally. He was a kid, and it was his whole world. So for him, i think it was clear people would care about each other and like, not be douchebags?
We don’t know much of the Kurta’s culture, but we know this society settled rules to care about each other. In case of danger, they would move out. But also even the Elder mentions when Kurapika talks about how he wants to see the outside world and says “Why don’t i just do what I want then?” and the Elder replies “If that’s what you want to do, then go ahead, but if you break the rule, it’s your family left behind that receives the punishment you know?”
I don’t know how much is a threat  to control a kid who’s ready to run away from home and how much is an actual rule, especially since Kurapika mentions “Leaving the forest is the gravest infraction that can be committed, but no one knows what kind of punishment there is for breaking the rule - No one has ever broken it, after all.” I’d personally say it’s just a threat and that they wouldn’t really hurt anyone, but I guess we can doubt.
Besides we also know that it’s a taboo amoung the Kurta to mention the Non-pureblood Kurta’s eyes. Pairo mentions that he had to press his father to talk about it. It’s a secret, the kids aren’t supposed to know that they would be in danger outside, they shelter their kids so they can feel their emotions frely without feeling like the monsters the legends of the outside world make them out to be.
What we can deduce of that is that therefore the Kurta lives in a really big community that cares for each other, all know each other, have a set of rules, and those rules are set to protect each other.
It explains why Kurapika has such a high sense of justice when it comes to protecting his own in a way. It’s really the community’s lifestyle, always caring about your fellow.
As for Pairo’s disability, adding to that, it’s to remember that… Kurapika feels responsible for it, too. Pairo is his best friend so also Kurapika shares a lot with him, but it’s to remember Pairo’s disability happened because Pairo tried to save Kurapika from falling up the cliff, they fell together, but Kurapika was barely hurt while Pairo got a lifelong disability that the village doesn’t know how to cure.
Pairo never blamed Kurapika for it, even, he calls out Kurapika when Kurapika mentions he wants to find him a doctor, because what Pairo want is Kurapika to be happy.
Also, there’s an understanding between Pairo and Kurapika have this way to talk about his disability too. Early in the story Kurapika asks Pairo if he wants to see the outside world with him, Pairo says that his health would get in the way of that, and Kurapika enthusiastically replies that it doesn’t matter. Because Pairo can do anything he wants. But also later, when they are doing shopping together, Kurapika seems concerned about Pairo having to carry stuff around, and Pairo calls him out for how Kurapika should not overprotect him that much (”Trust your partner a little bit more!!”) and Kurapika apologizes immediatly, which make me think it’s possible Kurapika feels the need sometimes to accomodate to Pairo’s disability and Pairo can calls him out about it to tell him he can handle himself.(there’s a similar scene earlier with Pairo dropping the eyedrops and insisting he wants to do it by himself, but knowing this is when he switched the eyedrops it can be argued it was just so he was sure he could trick everyone).
What I’m trying to come accross there is that, Kurapika cares a lot about Pairo’s well being, but he knows how to keep his limits to not be overcaring. He does everything so Pairo feel like his disability doesn’t stop him from doing anything, even if sometimes he gets worried about it.
Adding to the fact that Kurapika feels responsible and guilty for what happened to Pairo, and knows Pairo doesn’t blame him, so he blames himself even more in secret.
So we can put all of that together. Kurapika’s strong sense of community and justice, his guilt toward Pairo’s disability, how he wants to look after Pairo, all without making Pairo feel less able because of that.
And then a guy come out of nowhere to call Pairo a slur on that direct subject.
All of that together? Of course Kurapika would explode. I’m pretty sure no one in his village would have ever insulted Pairo because of his disability. I’m pretty sure no one called him a burden that clearly, with this much of being mean spirited.
It was a real first for Kurapika. Before those bullies, he always had admiration for the Outside World, believing it couldn’t be that bad, that people didn’t want to actually hurt them like the Elder would be saying. And the lovely people that helped them probably comforted him in that idea.
But them? I don’t think Kurapika ever saw anything like that before. Now also, the bully just kicked Pairo in the leg to make him fall, Kurapika was ready to attack and didn’t only because Pairo said it was an accident. It’s when the bully made it clear he meant it with all kind of mean spirit that Kurapika lost it and wanted to kill them.
How could some people do that?? none of the 128 people in his village would have done that. D-Hunter, Sheila, they wouldn’t have done that. The outside world he learnt about shouldn’t have done that. But there the bully just proved the Bad Side of the Outside World Kurapika was not as much acknowledging.
Honestly Kurapika almost attacked them at different times. Every time those assholes were doing something, he was getting angry, and Pairo was 100% of his impulse control, knowing that the Elder sent them.
When they attacked Pairo, it became personal. Attacking Pairo could only be seen by Kurapika like the worst thing one could have done. And he didn’t think straight anymore and he attacked.
I even wonder if that’s why he asked the bullies if the Elder told them about Pairo’s disability. It’s like for him, you couldn’t have actually insulted Pairo on that for another reason than to directly piss them off, so it had to be part of a bigger plan, not something anyone would say.
I think that’s where the big difference can lay between Kurapika and Gon. They both had a guilt to overcome as a child (Gon with what happened with Kon and Kite, Kurapika with what happened to Pairo), but they grew on such different environment. Hell, Kite reminded Gon that it was his fault that he had to kill Kon’s mom, meanwhile Kurapika, who still felt guilty, kept hearing he wasn’t to blame.
In a way it’s where Gon started to try to fix his mistakes no matter what, and where Kurapika started to try to fix his mistakes all alone since no one else seemed to get it as much as he did.
Again, Kurapika lived in a secluded, sheltered community where everyone knew each other, while Gon lived on an Island with only a couple of people he was used to see a lot, and mostly travellers. Gon could see all kind of people, so in the end he would just think that those who are not a direct harm to him and the people he cares about are just passing by and move on. Kurapika didn’t have this mentality since unlike Whale Island, Kurapika was stuck with the same people, and the same people had to react accordingly to their rules and their respect of each other.
Going to the outside world would have been an entiere new adventure for Kurapika in term of understanding the Outside World’s not as sheltered culture. We never got to see that though, since the Massacre happened and Kurapika’s trauma over come everything.
His cynism or his way to push people away can come from how the massacre made him more bitter, realizing how much people could kill because of greed, but it could also be slightly from his desillusions about the outside world.
I rambled much more than i expected but i love Kurapika’s past chapters a lot and I love to think about the Kurta. I really think that the cultural impact of living a sheltered, closed community who cares all a lot about each other, where no one would have been mean to Pairo because of his disability (concerned, yes, mean? no) is why he couldn’t take people being rude for no reason, for people to make Pairo feel like a burden, like lesser of a being.
And for someone who wasn’t expecting this kind of despicable attitude, no wonder Kurapika overreacted directly.
And Kurapika tends to not really think through when he’s angry. He can sometimes, he can force himself to think, but a lot of time, he doesn’t.
And his sense of justice in general is still there, ofcourse with his quest with the spdiers, but not only. It’s like when he threatened to kill Mitanji in the Prison exam, when he pretented to be a spider, and Kurapika told him he would kill him if he ever did that again. It was again a disrespect, impersonating the horrible people who hurt him and his family that way, but this time Kurapika still managed to calm down enough to keep it as a threat. Maturity i guess?
So ye, as much as they have a lot in common, on this point i’m not surprised Kurapika was… more extreme.
Take care!!!

To start of, thanks for replying! I loved hearing your opinion ♡
And for me the Kurapika and Phantom troupe arc is the best one (so far). There was so much going on, we met new characters and we saw Kurapika in a new light.
I never really paid that much thought to it but I can definitely see your point and I have to agree. The representation of society is well made and the cast is so divers which is lovely to see. They're not some cookie-cutter characters. Tho I can't say that I agree with all of their choices but that is to be expected since everybody has a different view of things.
Another thing that bugs me a bit is how Gon and Killua are a bit OP. Yes, we do see them training and they do put a lot of effort into that. But I think it would have been more natural/believable if we saw them train for a longer period of time. Not 1-2 min which equals months for them. I'm not saying that they have to spend the whole episode in just training but if I remember correctly (don't quote me here, I have a foggy memory so I'm probably wrong) they learned how to use Nen (or one of the Four Exercises of Nen. ) in literally one night. While Zushi has trained his whole life and wasn't nearly as close to them. And yeah, I get that it's different for every person since your Nen depends on how strong your aura is and everyone's aura is different but come on....
Has anyone had the same problem or is that just me?
(maybe I think like that because I'm also watching Naruto rn and his training takes usually takes a couple of episodes lol)
Okay besties I need your opinion.
So I'm on episode 77 of Hunter x Hunter (the chimera arc just started). And, don't get me wrong, I can definitely see why so many people like HxH but I personally find it kinda... boring? It's a mediocre anime for me. I've thought about quiting it but I really like some of the characters. They're honestly the only reason why I'm still watching it. Sure, there are some interesting moments that made me want to watch the next episode. But that was unfortunately rare.
So, I'm curious, what makes you like Hunter x Hunter?
(I'm not saying all of this to be rude and I'm sorry if it seems like that. It's just my opinion and I'm genuinely curious to hear yours)

Chapter 3—
"Don't they have anything at least a LITTLE flattering? I get they're like hippie-extremists, but not all of us want to look like a sack of potatoes," you complained, swiping through their clothing racks that screamed no-potential-whatsoever.
You'd finally arrived at NGL headquarters, only for them to make the three of you throw out your phones and clothes. It's like they were still living in the 18th century.
"It's only clothes. Just pick whatever," Killua replied while browsing through the selection, though he looked equally as aggravated and bored. He did have at least some style that he wanted to upkeep.
Gon on the other hand didn't seem to care.
"You think they have anything green?" He wondered out loud.
You pulled out a set of white pants with a blue long sleeves top.
"Hey Killua."
"Yeah?"
You shoved the set into his arms, giving him a bright smile.
"Try this on, I think it would match your eyes well."
"Idiot. The Chimera Ants won't be looking at my eyes when we're fighting them." Pink dusted his cheeks as he looked to the side, avoiding eye contact.
He bought the outfit without even trying it on.
Gon pouted. "Wait, what about me?"
You pulled out two more similar sets. One was a pair of green pants and a white tank top, while the other was burgundy pants with a black top. That one was yours.
"We can all match!" You grinned, relieved you finally found something that wouldn't make you all look like homeless children. "Well, sort of." The sets were still different colors, but they retained the same general style.
"Oh, great idea Y/N! I'll go change into it now," Gon beamed, nearly skipping all the way to the changing room with his brand new green pants. It was about time he put on something different for a change, you inwardly joked.
Killua was already walking back from the stalls when Gon ran past him.
"Wow Killua, look at that drip~" You whistled, checking out his new outfit.
"You're so hopeless," he sighed, bonking the top of your head.
You rubbed where he had hit and stuck out your tongue, pretending to be hurt. It was the truth though, he looked really good in the outfit you had picked out. Peeking at him while he wasn't looking, you discovered that the tight-skinned long sleeves accentuated his arms in a way you'd never noticed before, hugging his lean muscles. You were right about the royal-colored shirt bringing out his pretty blue eyes. And the way his pale skin and white hair contrasted them even looked a little heavenly...
God, what were you thinking? If Killua heard you right now he'd hit you over the head another 20 times over. You looked to the floor, hoping he wouldn't see your growing blush.
After all three of you had changed into your new clothes, the hunt for the Chimera Ants began. Kite was on his own horse, while the rest of you fit on the second one due to your small frames. You were holding onto Gon's torso as he took control of the reins.
He was like a natural, his whole body moving in sync with the horse in strong determination. You trusted him, knowing that wouldn't just let you topple over. You weren't really used to horses, as they weren't typically found roaming around the jungle.
Then there was Killua, who was standing stick-straight on the horse like it was nothing.
"How do you even do that?!" You called out over the sound of galloping hooves.
"Huh, Do what? You mean this?" Killua smirked, doing a handstand.
You couldn't believe him. The boy had no fear at all.
"You're crazy," you stated, turning around to face Killua and leisurely leaning your back against Gon.
You had finally mastered balancing on the horse without having to hold onto him— but you had nowhere as near the skill Killua did.
"Maybe I am, but you love it," he teased, still upside-down. Temptingly enough, his white locks of hair were hanging upside-down too.
Slowly, you leaned forward on the palm of your hands, steadily closing in the distance between you two.
"Sure, I do. You got me there," you cooed, catching him off guard.
"Huh.." He sweatdropped, turning bright red. Killua's balance was starting to wobble.
Then, exploiting his moment of weakness, you tugged on his hair knocking him over.
Satisfied, you rested against Gon again. Thankfully the boy didn't seem to mind.
"Show off," You said, sticking your nose in the air.
"Man, that was so unfair!" Killua whined, sitting back down on the horse and dragging his hands down his face.
You crossed your arms, ready to deliver some witty comeback, when you noticed some bees in the distance that looked like they were carrying something. Squinting your eyes, you saw that they were flying in closer.
"Hey guys, look at that," you pointed out. The horses stopped as one of the bees dropped the paper in Kite's hand.
Help!!
Chimera Ant Nest, Rocky Area
Notify Hunter Association!!
An SOS? And it appeared to be written in blood.
You cast a worried glance at Gon, who looked disturbed.
"It's Ponzu..."
Ponzu...? The name wasn't familiar to you at all. That must be somebody Killua and Gon knew from before you had met them.
The bee fluttered defeatedly around you before making its landing on your ring finger. Kite made the decision to leave the horses, with a message for the Hunter Association.
Even though they ran faster on foot, it didn't take much time until you came across an unsettling scene.
Or, what was left of Ponzu.
Blood soaked the ground. Articles of ripped-up clothing scattered the dirt, and there was not even a bone in sight. The putrid smell of iron overwhelmed your nostrils.
It was fresh blood.
If you had arrived even 15 minutes earlier, maybe Gon and Killua's friend would not have so barbarically killed. You felt sick to your stomach.
'This wasn't done by a human'
"This was done by a Chimera Ant," Kite finished your thought.
The look on Gon's face scared you. Most of the time, Gon was a sweet boy on a journey to find his father. But sometimes, you could spot a festering darkness threatening to take over his very being. You knew he would never tolerate his friends getting hurt, but you couldn't help but wonder if Gon was self-sacrificing, or perhaps selfish?
"I hate to consider the possibility, but it's possible that NGL's underground rulers have already been fed to the queen. What will happen if Chimera Ants are born with their genes..?" Kite trailed off, studying one of the bullet casings in the murder scene.
An unprecedented biohazard never seen before in human history, is what that meant. The worst-case scenario had just happened.
⋯✰⋯
That wasn't the last disturbing scene the four of you came across. In front of you now were three decaying horses, each speared through the stomach by its own tree. They resembled grilled chicken and steak kebabs.
The scent was even worse than the last incident. This time, they were rotting. Killua and you both covered your noses, in an attempt to block out the stench.
"It's like a morning sacrifice," Gon stated.
You remembered what that was. Back at home, sometimes birds would impale their prey on sharp objects like branches. It wasn't a pretty sight, but it was the circle of life. What kind of monster could do this to not just one, but three 1,000 ton horses?
Your question was answered quicker than you had hoped.
"Trash. Those are mine!" The monster in question growled as he stepped foot out of the dense forest.
He looked like an overgrown bunny, with wings of a bird, thick-ass thighs, and seaweed green hair. And as for the vibe he gave off? You could safely assume he was just a stupid man-child.
"Wow. You're ugly," you deadpanned.
"You wanna say that again little brat?" He snarled, making the first move and charging right after you.
You quickly dodged his attack, but not before he came in contact with your arm. That was gonna leave a bruise.
Kite activated his aura, temporarily distracting the bunny-monster. It seemed to have noticed the change in atmosphere.
No way...was it possible? Had it already learned about the power of nen?
"Y/N, Gon, Killua... You three must deal with him yourselves. We'll be encountering more Chimera Ant soldiers like him. I won't be able to help you during combat, so if you can't defeat him, you will have to leave." Kite stepped back from the fight.
You nodded, Gon and Killua mirroring you. The three of you understood what hung in the fate of this fight.
"We told you before Kite, we're pros, not just kids!"
In sync, you all activated your nen together.
"Did you hear that bunny? I'm about to blow off those weird speedos of yours into the next dimension." You raised your hand in front of you, manipulating the wind to blow him away with every step that you advanced.
Killua was already in the air, prepared to test his thunder-bolt. In a flash of blue, dozens of lightning strikes were being zapped into the ant, immobilizing him. Gon's charged punch was enough to send him flying across the sky.
You saw his tail-puff shrink and sparkle in the distance as he was about to disappear, until something fast and unidentifiable swept him away.
Someone had been watching.
"He let his soldier do the fighting so that he could learn our abilities," Kite explained while walking towards the three of you again.
Gon and Killua looked disappointed. You hadn't even gotten a chance to use much of your powers during that fight. If you had finished it off, would that have been enough to prove yourselves?
"Are you coming?"
You looked up at Kite.
"There's no need to feel down, your attacks weren't that bad. You just need experience now. If you wish to become stronger, this is a perfect opportunity... But if you aren't prepared, you won't be able to endure it. Whether we win or lose, hell lies ahead of us." Kite finished off, looking at each one of you in the eye with a resolute stare.
You knew that. Gon and Killua knew that also.
Even so, all three of you were prepared and eager to do whatever it takes to strengthen yourselves and help Kite save NGL.
⋯✰⋯
Kite looked serene as the light of the small campfire lit up his features. He and Gon had caught some fish for dinner earlier, while Killua and you set up camp. Now, you sat brushing arms with Killua, who was sitting next to Gon, who was huddled up close to Kite. The night was quiet, except for the cicadas singing in the trees and the thoughts running through you and your friend's minds.
There was a lot to think about.
Gon and Killua hadn't even been given the time to grieve over the loss of their past acquaintance, before being hit with the hard-hitting truth that the Ants were already evolving at a nightmarish rate. Nobody knew how many had gone missing or even more so been eaten. Yet everyone knew that the death count had already surpassed comprehensible numbers. Most likely, not everybody here would make it out alive.
But, the three of you consistently have proven the odds wrong. You held onto that fact like you held onto your pendant.
It reassured you.
It was obvious that the three of you had become inseparable over the past two years.
After you met Gon and Killua at Heaven's Arena, you'd never left each other's side.
Nobody would be going home without the other, because you had all found home within each other.
"Hey, Kite? What was your dad like?" Gon asked.
Kite looked up at the boy, surprised by the sudden question. Turning his eyes to the starry night sky, he exhaled a breath of cold air.
"I didn't know him. He disappeared when I was a child."
Gon hummed, waiting for Kite to continue. He knew that feeling too. It was an icy and empty feeling, not having a father figure in your life to guide you, praise you.
"I have very few memories of him, but they've all muddled together by now. Sometimes I can't tell if they're real or if I've convinced myself they are."
"....I think Ging would thank you."
This brought Kite's attention back to Gon.
"Thank me for what?"
"Well... You've been like a sort of mentor for me ever since we met, back on Whale Island. If it weren't for you, I would never have even become a hunter. Maybe I'm just a kid, but the past month it felt like I.. like I had a dad."
Your heart ached for Gon, who had been searching this whole time for his father in everyone he met and everything he saw. Gently, you placed your hand over his and squeezed it, wishing you could be of more comfort to him. Wishing you could turn back time and bring Ging back to his home, to Gon.
Kite's eyes softened as he looked at the boy, who offered a wobbly smile.
"Ging would be proud of you," he said, ruffling Gon's spiky hair.
That night, the glimmering moonlight had brought out your most vulnerable selves. You felt a honey-like warmth grow inside of you— a new member had just been added to your family. Killua seemed content, happy that his friend was smiling. And Gon's eyes matched the twinkling stars as he looked up to Kite like he was the most wonderful thing.
It was a special night. You knew deep down that you would treasure it, for a long time to come.

Chapter 1 —
⋯✰⋯
"Book."
"Gain!"
Bisky's eyes shined like stars as a smooth blue gemstone appeared in front of her. You could spot tears of hers spring up as she cradled the glittering rock like it was the most precious thing in the world.
"What should I name it? Blue-chan? Planet-chan?" she gushed, bouncing on the balls of her feet. You stifled a laugh, catching a glimpse of Killua's dumbfounded expression. If one thing were true, it's that he does not understand women.
While Gon and Killua endured Bisky's brutal training during Greed Island, you had grown to like her. Despite her being 45 years older than you, you imagined she was the closest thing to what a big sister would be like. Or maybe a mom? You wouldn't know.
Unfortunately, you weren't special enough to escape her unforgiving training either. Bisky knew no mercy. While training their physical bodies, she also trained the trio's nen abilities.
Gon developed his special punch move by using the rock, paper, scissors of Chinese martial arts. Killua learned how to better channel his electricity, though Bisky had looked concerned when he first demonstrated it to her. You couldn't blame her. Killua's ability to withstand electricity only came from years of shock torture, and you noticed how he rarely mentions the fact that he still feels the pain. You caught on to it the night you watched his Heaven's Arena match, remembering his voice floating to the stands.
"𝘐'𝘮 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘐𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘦. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯. 𝘐𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘴."
Your heart clenched for him every time you remember this fact. He has a tendency to hide his pain, in order to not burden his friends.
Then there's you, who Bisky took upon herself to help.
Since the day Wing opened your nen pores and declared you a Manipulator, you practiced your nen with Gon and Killua daily. When the time came to decide your special ability, the answer was as clear to you as a cloudless sky.
𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.
Since then you'd been seen carrying around leather pouches of dirt, water, and vines wherever you went. It was a nice start, but it sure did make your back hurt. And of course, Bisky would not accept that. Ordering you to dump out all of your pouches to the ground, she had you draw out your power from the scattered elements that had begun already mixing with the dirt.
Unsure, you had hesitantly stretched out your arm and tried pulling from the water. It took you a number of tries to get it right. You had squinted long and hard, focusing on extending your nen to the elements around you. To your giddy surprise, small, sparkling droplets of H20 were separating from the glob of inky mud to float just a few inches above your hands. Concentrating harder, the droplets began orbiting one another. They looked like little planets.
Sensing the vines, you were able to control their movements too, even manipulating ones that hadn't originated from your leather pouch.
Bisky's wide smile was all that you needed.
From that day on, you only practiced manipulating whatever was around you. The earth was your ally.
"Well, what will you do once you find Ging?" Bisky's voice snapped you out of a daze.
"Naturally, I'll introduce him to Killua, my best friend in the whole world!"
"What am I, a roach?" You mocked, but couldn't keep a smile from spreading across your face.
Gon's unyielding positivity and bubbly voice was like honey to your ears. No one could ever doubt the adoration he held for his best friend.
"Stupid, cut that out! It's embarrassing," said Killua, turning red as a tomato. He looked away in an attempt to hide his embarrassment, except you were right there to catch his blush.
You flashed a mischievous smile to Killua. "You know, I think an I-Love-You-Too-Gon-I-Also-Think-You're-The-Best would suffice once in a while."
"Shut up."
Killua was as stubborn as ever. You are playfully rolled your eyes before turning your attention back to the rest of the group. Gon was inviting Bisky to come with them and meet Ging, but she had said something about not being interested in men who already have kids.
"If I stay with you any longer, I really will get too attached..." Bisky tried to mask it, but you've always been good at noticing little details. She was going to miss them. And truth be told, you were going to miss her too.
"The hunter world is a small place. We'll all see each other again in no time!" you reassured your friends. "See you later, Bisky."
"Take care, Bisky." Gon said his goodbyes, Killua nodding next to him.
⋯✰⋯
"Accompany on."
"Nigg!"
At that, a bright light enveloped all of them, streaking them through the sky. Every time you did this on Greed Island, you had always shut your eyes tight. You'd never get used to the feeling.
The next thing you knew, the three of you landed in an area thick with white fog. It was slightly chilly, causing you to shiver. A hundred feet in front of you was a tall sakura tree with roots so large they could be mistaken for a magical beast. It had to have been there for at least a couple hundred years. Soft, pink petals drifted in the wind, dancing around you and your friends. As your eyes focused, you noticed a shadowy man reclining on the tree's roots. Could it be Ging?
Before you realized what was happening, the mysterious man turned towards the three of you and opened fire on Gon.
Then, Killua was diving in slow motion and pulling Gon out of the way and the two of them were rolling on the ground holding onto each other. Getting a hold of your senses, you looked down at dozens of bullets that had made holes in the ground and noticed an injured ant lying motionless on the floor. The thing was completely decapitated.
"Now look what you've done, you killed an innocent soul!" you exclaimed to the man, pointing at the poor bug.
"That's not Ging..." Gon whispered.
"What was that all about?! First, you push us down, then you fire at us. Stop messing around!" Killua accused the Not-Ging.
After helping Gon back up, Killua examined the insect too. That is, before it ruthlessly attacked him.
"Oh. It wasn't dead," you stated the obvious.
The man quickly finished off the ant biting Killua's leg with his machine gun before scoffing at you. He took off the black jacket he was wearing, unveiling straight, platinum white hair so long it almost touched the floor. You could get a better look at him now. He was lanky, and the beret he wore casted a shadow over his eyes. If you had to guess, you'd say he's about 6'3. Just who was this man? Had God finally sent an angel to cleanse you from your sins?
"I was being dead serious. If I hadn't opened fire, you would have been attacked. That was no ordinary ant, it was a Chimera Ant."
"A what?"
"An aggressive, carnivorous insect that's been designated Quarantine Level 1. You three didn't realize it, but you were standing right in front of their nest. If I hadn't fired the moment I did, an army of Chimera Ants would have consumed all of you by now," the angel explained.
You gawked at his beautiful long locks, gracefully flying in the wind as he turned to leave.
Gon seemed to have recognized the man, asking something about if he were the one who had saved him back then. Gon told a story about being rescued from a fox bear, though it looked like he had remembered something else because he held his cheek as if he'd just been hit. For the first couple of seconds, the man looked at Gon like he was in denial about the person right in front of him. Then, like it was nothing, he called Gon by his name. And if by a miracle, he also knew Ging.
"My name is Kite. Ging was my master."
You nudged Killua, "Did you hear that?! He knows Gon's dad!" Killua looked just as shocked as you.
The three of you followed Kite to a small campfire as he told them stories about Ging, himself, and his current mission. You were thankful for the heat source, warming your hands against the flame as it was only getting colder as night fell. You cursed yourself for not being like Gon and Killua, who always had their long sleeve layers and could just strip them whenever the weather deemed it necessary. All you were wearing were burgundy shorts, combat boots, and a black t-shirt. And of course, your necklace. You reached your hand and held onto the choker pendent around your neck. It was all you had left of your home. Just holding onto the pink pendent brought you enough comfort to warm you from the inside out again.
The sun was beginning to set by the time you met Kite's friends and the cute dog that had taken a liking to Gon. Your eyes softened as you watched Gon play with the puppy, having found its sweet spot right behind its ear. He caught you staring, and flashed his pearly whites.
"Y/N, come rub his belly! He's so soft!"
Getting up from your spot next to Killua and wiping the dust off your shorts, you traveled to where Gon was now teaching the dog new tricks.
"How are you gonna teach him anything without any dog treats?" you asked, petting the little dog.
"With this!" Gon pulls out a handful of goldfish from his pocket. He tossed one to the pup, who caught it in midair.
You held in a laugh. "Gon, why do you just have goldfish lying around in your pockets like that?"
"You don't always have time to snack when you're training you know.. Plus, It's in a baggy!" He showed you the zip -block bag that was stuffed inside the pocket of his green shorts, bashfully rubbing the back of his neck. This time you couldn't help but let out a laugh.
"Oh I see, as long as it's in a bag, right? Can I see one?"
Gon nodded and put some goldfish in the palm of your hand. Looking for Killua, you spotted him sitting on a log watching as the sun set under the ocean's horizon. He looked so ethereal as the orange light reflected off of him. The light made his fluffy white hair shine, and a slight breeze made delicate strands wisp in the wind like snowflakes. You almost felt bad for disturbing the picturesque scene in front of you.
"Hey, Killua! Come feed this dog Gon's two-year-old musty goldfish with me!"
Yeah, you had ruined the moment.
"It's not two years old! I bought it in Yorknew," he whined.
"But it's musty?"
Killua walked up to the two of you with a questioning look, and you paused your bickering to hold open his hand and transfer the goldfish. The dog barked.
"I'm not sure, animals typically run away once they smell Mike on me," he said, referring to the oversized human-eating guard dog at the Zoldyck estate. Considering it's job was to deter people, you guessed that made sense. Still, you had faith that this innocent pup could show Killua some love. He needed the free therapy.
"Just try it!" Gon pushed.
Killua succumbed to Gon's request, holding the treat out to the tail-wagging puppy. Though, instead of taking the treat, it knocked Killua clean over, licking his face.
"What the heck— Help!" Killua desperately tried wiping the slimy slobber off of his lips.
"I think he's trying to kiss you." You giggled.
Mission accomplished!
"Kite did say that hunters are well-liked by animals. This means you're a great hunter, Killua!" Gon excitedly shared.
Killua offered a small smile. "I haven't passed the test yet, dummy."
