Might write a fic where Dick from a different universe accidentally universe-jumps and runs into Jason, who's still the younger brother he's on pretty great terms with, and tries to discreetly puzzle out how his Jason becomes Red Hood while trying get back and Jason plays along, nearly totally convinced that this isn't the Dick he knows, especially once he dials Bludhaven, but it's immensely funny convincing this far more trusting and close version of his brother that in this world, Bruce has gone evil and Jason's one of the only people working to stop him.

me knowing logically that immersion will provide more long term gains for language learning vs 5 new vocab flashcards and some grammar exercises go brrrrrrrrr

#i'm trying to create a structured plan w timelines for learning biblical languages (gonna start with greek and go from there)#idk i've just always learned languages in a very traditional way and i always default to it instead of trusting the immersion process #i just downloaded 2 apps on my phone so i could compare their biblical/koine greek courses before catching myself cus i said i wouldn't #ah yes apps only an infamously amazing way to learn languages to a high level #ig i have resistance to adapting popular immersion methods to dead languages and the thought of doing all that adjusting is making me want #to reach for The Apps like an ipad baby #“all listening to low level videos and no reading until x level” my brother in christ this is the new testament #i forgor that other immersion methods that are not dreaming spanish exist so i'm gonna research refold to see how that translates to dead #languages and will report back ig #the siren call of the language learning apps though!!#right back to research #edit: also these immersion methods focus on speaking as the end goal which i obvs won't be doing.........so yeah idk #ellis exclaims #langblr

My phone seems to crash a lot sometimes. I mean, I know my phone is old. But i can't help but feel nervous when i have to consider that it could be dying or something. Because i don't want to deal with that. I've had this phone for years, and I've allowed myself to grow attached to it. Considering that getting a new phone would possibly mean losing my bookmarks, possibly needing to sign in to tumblr again on that phone, getting all my old apps back, etc. it's not a nice thought. I don't want to deal with losing my phone. I think I would hate that. So it's a very unpleasant feeling, dealing with and thinking about all of this.

NEW PHONE CASE ARRIVED TODAY!!!! I can FINALLY go back to having the same one I've had since approximately uhhh 2015? 2016??? I didn't have it for my last phone because the place I order cases from doesn't offer them for the Pixel 6a, and I haven't found anywhere else reliable that custom prints heavy duty cases that I like.

BUT!!!!! I got a Pixel 8 Pro this week, and they do make them for it, so here I am!!! WE ARE SO BACK!!!

Watching the lefthand side of my phone screen steadily fill with more neon lines that are probably the result of the cracked screen

#it was just 1 neon pink one but now theres a few more and it's making me nervous #I'm intent on using this phone until it BRICKS i do not want a new one 😭#i can still use everything fine there's just some bright ass neon lines on the side now #they do brighten and dim a little when i adjust the brightness but not by much #and i swear on my life they change color to white and just aren't there at all sometimes #they're visible when i tap the sleep mode screen to see the time too ksjfkf how much longer can i chill with this..#shai speaks
