There are a fight between the wen remnant because of land and WWX has to resolbe it as sect leader. WWX and LWJ adopt Wen Yuan formally like they ask granny wen for permission to adopt Wen Yuan and there are some ceremony to solidify the adoption. LWJ get drunk and stole a goat (?). It involve a goat but i dont remember if it was LWJ or JWY who stole a goat. WQ has a student. 2. hello! I’m looking for a modern wangxian fic where wwx and lwj are high school (?) lovers but then lan qiren (who is also the director of the school I think) finds out about their relationship and sends lwj to the Lan school London. And then there’s a time skip and lwj ends up working at the school and the school system gets hacked so they engage the tech company that wwx started to fix the problem. And then they get back together - please help me!

4. hi there are some fics that are continuously bouncing around in my head so some help in finding them would be very much appreciated and if my memory serves me correct all these stories were one shots

A) all I remember is that WY was a phoenix captured by the wens and LZ meets him during his capture and falls in love around this time, also not very sure if WY had healing powers or his tears turned to peals because he heals LZ and that LZ tells him to cry just because WY feels like crying

B) the story starts of with WY and LZ on a date arranged by all of their friends and other memories of it include NHS telling WY that LZ had made a separate group without him to warn them from ever repeating what they did WY also went out with LQY in (idk) high school and with WQ but they broke up because WQ had to focus on med school and didn't want to do Long distance and that WY seems to know that LZ is in love with him and LZ cries after telling WY that he's happy being his friend along with ending on the note where WY and LZ confirm that they are officially friends to every one else

C) this one revolves around WY being a sacrifice and LZ is guardian till his death but they fall in love I think WY was to be sacrificed on his 20 some birthday also the way the sacrifice was interpreted wrongly by the sects and in it WY and LZ also sleep together before WY is ultimately sacrificed but it was a happy ending that's all I remember I apologize if the descriptions are too vague but I read them a good while back and thank you so much for your help

5. hi there! for the next fic finder — im pretty... sure... this is a jiang yanli-centric fic? but a lot of the POV was also madame yu. i remember that cangse sanren survived (this is not time charm). cssr, madame yu, and,, another woman who i forgot (possibly lwj's mother?) get into a relationship, and they raise the children together. im pretty sure jfm also dies alongside wcz (unless im mixing up two fics). either way, theres a scene where someone sneaks in the wives rm n mdme yu kicks their ass // (i'm the yzy/cssr/madame lan anon) i know for *sure* now that im mixing up two fics, but same ot3. it's not sami's sail away sweet sister. the character pov was yzy annd she was a lot more unsure about the whole thing bc she was painfully aware what she's like.

For the most recent fic finder #5 is absolutely Sail Away Sweet Sister. It's in Chapter 3, 2/3 of the way through. It may be conflated with another one, though, as that particular section is in Madame Lan POV (her name is Tang Lijuan). Sami tells stories in multi-POV though, so there are other sections from Yu Ziyuan's POV relating the incident.

6. Okay so, looking for a fic where lwj or wwx accidentally summon incubus/succubus wwx or lwj. (I can't remember who was the sex demon or who was the human but it is a wangxian fic)

So, the succubus needs food and it is, unsurprisingly, cum. As in they have to literally eat cum to survive. So the human lets the demon feed from him. The human is followed by this succubus/incubus everywhere he goes to including his university.

The human loves feeding the sex demon and even lets him feed in the uni bathroom during breaks.

Does a fic like this exist? Does it ring any bell?

Wei Wuxian helps in the background, including saving the Dafan Wen. Lan Wangji demands Wei Wuxian as part of the treaty/alliance with with other clans post winning the war. Wei wuxian thinks he is a war prize/prisoner, but he is treated really well by the Gusu Lan for his efforts in the war.

Transient lore overview

Figured at this point I have enough separate OC verses, let alone actual OCs themselves that its worthwhile to make big overview pages that describe all of their settings, characters, themes, connections, etc.

Transient is a OCverse i've been working on for a few years now ft. Sulu, Function, Felis, Splish, and Alpha in a fantasy space setting. In my head the intended format is an episodic cartoon comedy series, akin to things like regular show, futurama, adventure time, etc with no overarching ""plot"" per se, just following characters as they interact and develop.

Sulu:

Sulu is the main character, he travels throughout sea-space solving problems and helping people however he can. He is very competent and gives things his all until a problem is solved.

He spends a large portion of his time alone, but he frequently links up from his friends Felis and Splish when the need arises. He has a warm, comforting, friendly personality but doesn't often stick around long enough to form deeper bonds. Hes akin to a benevolent trader joes staffer that gives you a soothing sense of ease as he guides you where to the munster cheese is stocked, but like two ships passing never again will your two paths meet.

Sulu as a character is very dedicated and compassionate, and is genuinely motivated in helping others. That being said, there is a deeper layer to his unwavering dedication. Its a two-pronged coping strategy and distraction from his own struggles. He often ignores any ill that happens to him as a result of obsessively working and puts off addressing his own problems to an extremely problematic degree. His struggles with depression and self neglect end up devolving into the primary conflict.

Function:

Function is the closest thing to an antagonist the series has. Function is an entity originally from the realm of pure math that got wedged in what he refers to as "the meat world" (ie the physical world). By nature his intent is to increase disorder without bound. He's still adjusting to being stuck in the physical world and doesnt always understand the harm he's causing by driving chaos into systems. Although most of the time he is still uncomfortable in having a physical form, he adores thematics and getting attention from others. He has an expressive, energetic, rambunctious personality.

At first he poses a serious risk as a genuinely harmful figure in a cotton-candy marshmallow world, and Sulu has to frequently neutralize his actions. This causes a comical nemesis-esc relationship between the two, but in time as he adjusts and copes with his situation he settles down more into a goofy, campy 90's anime rival archetype and the two form a more genuine bond. He becomes great friends with Alpha, forming a "chaos crew" as the two largely goof around and make the most of things. He has a significantly hard time processing emotional turmoil as he's still trying to wrap his head around basic day-to-day functioning, let alone complicated interpersonal conflicts.

Alpha, Felis, Splish:

The other core cast consists of Felis, Splish the fish, and Alpha.

Felis is Sulu's current best friend, as they spend the most time together and work in tandem often. Felis is genuinely an out-of-place-astronaut, as all the other denizens are aquatic creatures. Felis has a classic goofy cat-like personality, they like to be entertained and pal around, but can struggle with serious matters and completing long-form tasks.

Splish is a space safety ranger and works hard to keep everyone safe and happy and within the rules. He employs Sulu's help on the very frequent occasion when he is out of his depth. He doesn't really comprehend serious matters at all, as he belongs squarely to the "marshmallow head" class of sea-space critters. (Felis is capable of processing serious things, but often elects to not engage)

Alpha is a character from Sulu's past, in particular his former closest friend. She and Sulu were incredibly close in their teens and early 20s, but she eventually lost contact as he splintered off and isolated. Alpha gets frustrated with his lack of care towards his own health and functioning, especially how it affects others around him, seeing it as not taking proper responsibility for himself. She clicks with Function not just because they both have very similar bombastic personalities, but also because she admires how dedicated Function is to adjusting to his new circumstances and improve himself. She is wickedly driven, she loves new experiences and exciting things and is overall incredibly active, but can be somewhat introverted. sort of a "i want to do cool things, but only with the 2 people i have allowed into my inner circle". Holds grudges like the dickens.

Setting:

The setting itself is supposed to be a fusion between underwater and space, there are lots of fish, whales, coral formations etc scattered throughout open space. The various planets act more reefs, collecting lots of life and activity. From afar things look more like ""space"" with planets, stars, galaxies, etc, but the actual deinzens tend to resemble either fish or cartoony space aliens. The overall palette is very bright, colorful, and pastel tones to reflect the cheery, cotton-candy environment.

Concept:

Most of the types of problems Sulu, Felis and Splish work on are lighthearted or comical in nature, such as chauffeuring constellations around, babysitting in a stellar nursery, fishing for asteroids, a mediating in a break up between a binary star system, trying to fix the cowlic generated by the hairy ball theorem, cleaning up a milk spill in a galaxy, a magnetar that keeps demagnetizing people's credit cards, things spontaneously gaining more degrees of non-trivial rotational symmetry, neutron star bowling, and other sorts of whimsical space/math problems.

Every so often something more serious pops up, like a quasar posing a legitimate threat or instability in the laws of physics such as a power on a spatial dependence term flickering back and forth, but 90% of the time its cartoony situations, a la regular show. Another equally descriptive statement would be "Cyberchase but with 30-40yr old queer anime people."

Elephant in the room, Sulu is indeed intended to be an outlet/projection/expression of my own struggles with depression and how severe depressive episodes get entangled with my work and social life, but on a more surface level I also enjoy working on this thing because 1) i like drawing fish, 2) i love using vivid colors, and 3) I love being obnoxious about math and physics jokes while stuck in the throes of a physics phd myself.

Dear Domestic Dragon Trust,

I’m an autistic adult considering getting my first service dragon. Before I make the commitment, though, I have a question about their care that I’d like to ask to ensure I’m equipped to provide them with a healthy and happy life.

I live with my parents, who are separated, and generally go back and forth between their houses every two weeks or so. Would this be a problem for a dragon, from either a territory/stability or a horde perspective? If so, are there steps that could be taken to mitigate this, or is it a dealbreaker?

I’ve been doing my research, of course, and I’ve read a bit about helping dragons cope with a move, but I haven’t seen this issue addressed specifically. Of course, I would never want to bring a dragon into a situation that would cause them serious or prolonged distress of any sort, and I’m happy to look into alternative possibilities for either my support needs or my schedule of time at each house if my current situation wouldn’t allow a dragon to thrive.

But considering your housing situation we recommend looking into adopting the smallest breed of domesticated dragon: the pocket dragon!

When bonded to a human they tend to spend as much time with them as possible and they love riding in pockets, hand bags, or hoods. Traveling between houses won't be a problem with a pocket dragon, because they will consider you their home.

When it comes to hoards pocket dragons tend to focus on small items and do not need a great many of them to thrive. They do tend to have a particular comfort-hoarding item that they should not be separated from, like a favourite button. But these are usually small enough to carry with you, just like the dragon.

Of course some people require larger dragons as their service animal. A pocket dragon won't be able to physically guide a human, for instance. But if you are looking for an emotional support animal with a talent for enforcing self care, you really cannot do better!

Against the Gendered Nightmare

In the past several years, the question of gender has been taken up again and again by the anarchist milieu. And still few attempts amount to much more than a rehashing of old ideas. Most positions on gender remain within the constraints of one or more of the ideologies that have failed us already, mainly Marxist feminism, a watered down eco-feminism, or some sort of liberal “queer anarchism.” Present in all of these are the same problems we’ve howled against already: identity politics, representation, gender essentialism, reformism, and reproductive futurism. While we have no interest in offering another ideology in this discourse, we imagine that an escape route could be charted by asking the question that few will ask; by setting a course straight to the secret center of gendered life which all the ideological answers take for granted. We are speaking, of course, about Civilization itself.

Such a path of inquiry is not one easily travelled. At every step of the way, stories are obscured and falsified by credentialed deceivers and revolutionary careerists. Those ideas presented as Science are separated from Myth only in that their authors claim to abolish mythology. Anthropology, Psychoanalysis, History, Economics—each faces us as another edifice built to hide a vital secret. At every step, we find more questions than answers. And yet this shadowy journey feels all the more necessary at the present moment. At the same time as technological Civilization is undergoing a renewed assault on the very experience of living beings, the horrors of gendered life continue to be inextricable from that assault. Rape, imprisonment, bashings, separations, dysmorphia, displacement, the labors of sexuality, and all the anxieties of techniques of the self—these daily miseries and plagues are only outpaced by the false solutions which strive to foreclose any possibility of escape; queer economies, cybernetic communities, legal reforms, prescription drugs, abstraction, academia, the utopias of activist soothsayers, and the diffusion of countless subcultures and niche identities—so many apparatuses of capture.

The first issue of Bædan features a rather involved exegesis of Lee Edelman’s book No Future. In it, we attempted to read Edelman against himself; to elaborate his critique of progress and futurity outside of its academic trappings and beyond the limitations of its form. To do so, we explored the traditions of queer revolt to which Edelman’s theory is indebted, particularly the thought of Guy Hocquenghem. Exploring Hocquenghem still proves particularly exciting, because his writing represents some of the earliest queer theory which explicitly rejects Civilization—as well as the families, economies, metaphysics, sexualities and genders which compose it—while also imagining a queer desire which is Civilization’s undoing. That exploration lead us to explore the bodily and spiritual underpinnings of Civilization: domestication, or “the process of the victory of our fathers over our lives; the way in which the social order laid down by the dead continues to haunt the living... the residue of accumulated memories, culture and relationships which have been transmitted to us through the linear progression of time and the fantasy of the Child... this investment of the horrors of the past into our present lives which ensures the perpetuation of civilization.”[1] Our present inquiry begins here.

To explore the conflict of the wildness of queer desire against domestication is to take aim at an enemy who confronts us from the beginning of Time itself. While our efforts in the first issue of this journal were a refusal of the teleology which situated an end to gender at the conclusion of a linear progression of time, we’ll now address the questions of origins which hint toward an outside at the other end of this line. As we’ve denied ourselves the future, we now turn against the past. In this, we abandon any pretensions of certainty or claims to truth. Instead we have only the experiences of those who revolt against the gendered existent, as well as the stories of those whose revolt we’ve inherited. In the spirit of this revolt, we offer these fragments against gender and domestication.

My headcanon in the post-DR3 world

I'm preparing a short manga for Nagito's birthday, but I thought it might not make sense without my headcanon explanation, so I put it together here.

*I set this post to reblog prohibit because this is basically an explanation of my manga.

*This post is already a bit long, but I actually have a lot more headcanons, so maybe I'll add some of them from time to time.

⚠️Contains Spoilers!

■ The situation of Hinata and Class 77-B after the DR3 Hope Arc:

Hinata and Class 77-B (from now on, I will be writing Hinata's team) are set up as a separate organization from the Future Foundation, traveling around the world by ship to eliminate the remnants of despair and restore the world. (This means everyone did not return to Jabberwock Island, but continued their journey directly on the ship they used to leave Jabberwock Island).

The reason they did not return to Jabberwock Island is because it is land owned by the Future Foundation. Since the killing spree at the Future Foundation was allegedly masterminded by Hinata's team, they cannot return there.

However, the world is not an environment in which they can live without the support of the Future Foundation, so they are actually connected to members like Naegi and others who know the truth.

Naegi and his team have the critical project of rebuilding Hope's Peak Academy, so they basically stay in Japan most of the time and cannot immediately address problems that occur outside of Japan. Therefore, Hinata's team mainly deal with problems outside of Japan. (Basically, they communicate with each other through telecommunications using a specially prepared line.)

Basically, Hajime Hinata's presence is kept secret (not strictly, but the people around him realize that it would be better if he did not appear in public as much as possible), so once Hinata's team have temporarily dealt with the problem, they will leave the area and the Future Foundation will take care of the follow-up. (The Future Foundation employees who do not know the truth simply perceive that another unit of their organization took care of the problem before them. They do not know that it was Hinata's team who took care of it.)

■ Additional information about post-3 Hajime Hinata:

He made two promises to everyone on his team.

Not using Izuru Kamukura's talents against teammates. Because he could control the will of his teammates if he wanted to, so he promises not to use Kamukura's talents against his teammates except in emergency situations, whether good or bad.

Never be alone. (Always be with someone.) He can use Kamukura's talents, but between after SDR2 and the 3rd Hope Arc, he used his talents so much that he once became "void" as a result of overusing his talents. The state called “void" is also one of my head canons. This occurs as a reaction to overworking his brain. Once this happens, all of his senses will be shut down for a while, and he won't be able to move at all. Recovery time varies from case to case, but usually ranges from 3 to 7 days. The heart and other minimal organs will still work, but he will not be able to eat or do anything else, so he will die if he has no way to eat and excrete. To prevent him from getting into this very dangerous situation, he cannot use his talents excessively, and people around him do not allow it, and this rule was put in place to deal with him in case he becomes void. To enforce this rule, Komaeda accompanies Hinata as a watcher; when Hinata is in his room, the Observer AI (Chiaki Nanami) watches Hinata.

■ Post-3 Nagito Komaeda:

He is supposed to be Hajime's watcher, so his role is basically to be at Hajime's side. The reason he was put in the role of watching over Hinata was because Hinata's teammates thought he would have a high chance of survival even in a critical situation thanks to his talent. Another reason is the problem of not being able to deal with anyone but Hinata.

The only thing he has to do is to make sure that Hinata is not left alone, so he may not be with Hinata if someone else accompanies him.

■ Observer AI (Chiaki Nanami) :

After Hajime awoke from the NWP, he used one of Kamukura's talents, the Ultimate Programmer talent, to restore the NWP's Observer AI, because as a result of using Kamukura's talents to predict the future, he found that he alone would not be able to do enough to take care of his returning friends. The restored Observer AI provided mental care for those who returned. After everyone's mental health was restored to some degree, she remained aboard the ship as one of the companions. (One of her roles is to monitor Hinata during bedtime.)

■ Izuru Kamukura:

In my headcanon, his ego exists as a separate entity from Hajime Hinata even in post-3, but it basically does not appear on the surface. He may appear on the surface when needed, but almost never, as it would cause Hinata's brain to become overloaded.

Hinata can talk to him. Technically speaking, it can only predict what Kamukura is likely to say using Kamukura's talents. However, the accuracy of the predictions is so high that the results are equivalent to having a conversation with Kamukura. Due to this fact, Hinata will get tired if he talks to Kamukura a lot.

Hey, thanks again for telling me about Sabine. I wanted to ask you something that confused the hell out of me, and it's the episode in Ahsoka where she ends up in the World Between Worlds and Anakin was there.

Cause, last I remembered, the WBW is a dimension that has multiple paths to different points in time and space, right? Btw, there's time travel in Star Wars now....great. I know that in Rebels, Ezra had to get a key to open the door to the WBW, which was in a jedi temple, and pulled a past Ahsoka in there before she died. So, how the hell did Ahsoka get there?

And what was Anakin? It wouldn't make sense if it was him from the past, and the whole scene felt like it was some limbo world. But that also doesn't make sense cause the WBW isn't limbo. And Anakin isn't a force ghost, but he shifts from him to Vader, and with the eyes, it's just really REALLY confusing.

So I think this is going to be a slightly unsatisfying answer in that I think it's intentionally ambiguous.

It MIGHT be the real World Between Worlds, but given that they keep emphasizing that she has to "choose to live" and they reveal at the end that she's effectively been drowning this whole time with the water coming up over her head IN THE VISION, that seems kind-of unlikely to me. When Ezra went into the World Between Worlds (and when Ahsoka got pulled into it), they weren't in like... two places at once. The World Between Worlds was, as kind-of implied in the name, a whole separate world unto itself. Ezra and Ahsoka LEAVE the places they are in and enter into the WBW completely. So if Ahsoka had truly been in the WBW in that episode, theoretically the drowning thing wouldn't have been an issue. And there is also the fact that Ezra has to walk through a door of sorts to get into the WBW and he pulls Ahsoka out from INSIDE the WBW, whereas there's no indication of anybody who is already inside the WBW pulling Ahsoka out again this time or Ahsoka sort-of accidentally going through a door of any kind.

So you can decide it's the real WBW if you really want to, I guess, but I do not PERSONALLY think that that's what's actually happening just based on what we see of it in Rebels and in this show. But it's ambiguous enough that, sure, whatever, it can be the WBW if people want it to be.

The other two options are that Ahsoka's just having a Force vision of sorts. Option A is that Anakin is just a figment of her own imagination or like... the Force itself manifesting her fears and doubts into the shape of Anakin. Option B is that it's Anakin's ghost reaching out THROUGH the Force to give her this vision.

The one I personally prefer is Option A where it's Ahsoka's own subconscious sort-of manifesting itself as a conversation with Anakin in the WBW, or the Force itself giving her this vision and manifesting this way as a tangible thing she can speak to and understand better. I just think it's more interesting if we're getting a look AT AHSOKA'S MIND rather than seeing Anakin himself just... popping in kind-of randomly to give her this really wacky "lesson" that doesn't mean anything. It makes more sense to me to view at Ahsoka's subconscious or the Force realizing that she's dying, that some part of her maybe even WANTS to die, and fighting back. It's that little piece of her that knows she doesn't ACTUALLY want to die, and so in the scenes where Ahsoka is speaking to Anakin, it's more accurately just Ahsoka speaking to herself. Anakin acts the way he does because it's how SHE remembers him, it's all of her doubts and fears and guilt surrounding that relationship made "physical" so to speak.

This show isn't really delving all that deeply into Ahsoka's psyche and so headcanoning that it isn't REALLY Anakin at all, but just Ahsoka's mind and the Force coming together to address the root cause of her problems is the closest I'm going to get to a deeper exploration of her character.

So he "shifts" between young TCW Anakin, older ROTS Anakin, a "Vader" Anakin with the yellow eyes and red saber, and full-on Vader with the suit and everything, because this is Ahsoka trying to figure out which Anakin is the "real" Anakin. Is it the kind, heroic young Master she first met? Is it the guy she spoke to briefly right before the Siege of Mandalore who was so excited to see her? Is it the person who she knows struggled with his own anger and fears? Or was it Vader all along? Was that who he REALLY was, and is it who SHE'LL become as a result of having learned from him? Ahsoka doesn't know how to contextualize the VERY different versions of him that she's known and that struggle is shown in how he manifests in this vision of hers.

So, effectively, the visual of the WBW is just being used because they think it looks cool. Also, it's what saved her from Anakin the last time she actually saw him. She escaped him via the WBW and when she went back, he was gone, and she never saw him again. Maybe the WBW is a way to showcase the guilt she feels over THAT happening, despite the fact that it's not really her fault. Her whole arc in Rebels was about feeling gulity that she'd "left" Anakin and the impact that this may have had on him becoming Vader and so at the end of the season, she refuses to leave him again even though she knows he's going to kill her as a result because she'd rather stay and die than leave and live with that AGAIN. And then Ezra grabs her and now she has to live with having abandoned him a second time, even though this time wasn't by choice. So it's POSSIBLE (although I don't think anybody writing this show was thinking this hard or this deeply about it) that the reason they chose the WBW is because Ahsoka is dealing with her guilt over abandoning Anakin still and so this is how she's "manifesting" this particular issue. However that guilt really doesn't come up in the episode at all, they're focusing more on Ahsoka thinking her "legacy" is death and destruction, so I'm not convinced that the choice was anything more than thinking that it looked cool as a setting.

All in all, I do think they left it very intentionally ambiguous so that fans could sort-of decide what they wanted about what was happening. If it helps you to see it the way I do, as not the REAL WBW, but just a Force vision or a fever dream of sorts where Ahsoka's psyche is manifesting itself as Anakin in the WBW, feel free to see it that way instead. It doesn't fix the show or its myriad issues, but it might make this particular episode less confusing for you.

I'd like to illustrate a problem here for a second about documentation and having ID expire every 5 years or whenever you move, while disabled in Canada, or at least Ontario.

To renew ID you need 3 pieces of documentation, one for proof of citizenship/status/immigration etc, like your birth certificate or registration etc, one for proof of residence like personally addressed mail, a bank statement or bill...

And the third, which must be separate, which is "proof of identity" for which the following is accepted:

credit card

valid Ontario driver’s licence or temporary driver’s licence

valid Ontario Photo Card

Canadian Immigration Identification Card

Certificate of Canadian Citizenship (plastic card)

Certificate of Indian Status (paper or plastic card)

Confirmation of Permanent Residence (Imm 5292)

only if signature is shown

current employee ID card

current professional association licence

Old Age Security Card

Ontario motor vehicle permit (plate portion only)

passport (Canadian or foreign)

Permanent Resident Card

only if signature is shown

Record of Landing (Imm 1000)

student ID card

union card

I have crossed out the ones I can't get as a disabled single adult with no dependents who was born here, is not elderly, cannot drive etc... Your average single young disabled adult born and raised here.

The certificate of citizenship I could [have, previously] technically get, but as a natural born citizen other sources will insist my birth certificate should be enough and I should never need this... And they STOPPED ISSUING THE PLASTIC CARDS LISTED HERE AS VALID ID!

I can't get a credit card approved because of my income.

The passport I only ever got because when I was younger I could travel, and it wouldn't get money taken off my pension etc... But most people in my position won't have or maintain this, and indeed mine is still with someone I took a trip with in my 20's and is lost to me, and I have had no real reason to renew it or report it lost. I can't renew it without getting the info off the old one and I can't apply for a new one without already having valid id AND BEING ABLE TO FIND 2 PEOPLE TO VOUCH FOR ME... Which I don't have, frankly, and I am going to go out on a limb and say that when you are more or less house bound and an inconvenient disabled who people are prone to abusing it is quite common enough to not be able to find 2 people to vouch for you. You also need a guarantor and someone to take photos! And sign them! And why would you? Why would you maintain a passport when you can't even travel??? It isn't accessible to me anyway.

So most people in my position, which is a lot, will ONLY have the photo ID card as "proof of id" which you NEED to 1. renew your health card, 2. renew the photo card itself.

My problem with this is that technically you need a photo ID card that's still valid, to make your photo id card valid again. They technically are not allowed to use your health card as this kind of ID.

I am disabled and therefor often things are LONG expired by the time I have the ability to get them renewed, so in addition to all this, my health card and photo id expire at the same time every time now.

They wanted to have a photo id alternative to the driver's license to help with issues like this to begin with, but they haven't made it much better.

The next issue is it's the only government Id that's of any use to me and that I am encouraged to get but it costs 35$ because it's treated as optional, instead of it being free like your health card is... So actually your health card does cost 35$ to maintain... Because you need your photo id card to stay valid... So actually our "free" healthcare has an out of pocket cost of 7$ per year minimum. That's not a lot, but that's not free if that 35 every 5 years stops you from being able to have health coverage.

I want a form of government ID, that counts as proof of identity, for the purpose of renewing my very important health insurance card, that doesn't bloody expire all the fucking time.

Because you're actually supposed to renew your health card every time your address changes... And when you are poor and disabled you tend to either be stuck with your parents, or stuck moving constantly to escape abuse.

And just... Do you know, how many times, for how many months I have been effectively between health coverage, in a country with free healthcare, and thus unable to seek medical attention, because my id has expired and I did not have the physical energy to go get it renewed? And that shouldn't happen!

Technically, by their own laws/policy they should have turned me away to renew my id, which would have left me 100% fucked with no existing valid ID to use to get other ID. That shouldn't be able to happen to you every 5 years or every time you move, especially when you are disabled.

And they shouldn't charge 35$ for it, considering you need it to get your health card renewed at all, technically speaking. It should be FREE! Especially if you are disabled!

If I still physically had my last passport I might be able to keep renewing it without this bullshit headache, but I can't without my old one.

They should have never switched to health cards that expire, I don't care if they wanted photo id, it was fine before, this is bullshit. This makes healthcare potentially inaccessible to the disabled because they have put it behind these stupid hoops you have to jump every 5 years and when you move.

And do you know how many disabled people have memory and mobility issues???

This is stupid.

And the kick in the teeth is that once they have my photo taken they will randomly chose to use older photos they have on file, because clearly my appearance hasn't changed enough through my adult life for them to even care how old the photo is! Why does the photo id have to expire if the photo can be over 10 years old according to their own records!? Their whole excuse for them expiring is that your appearance and address need to be up to date!

For those of you who don't know because it might have been before your time... health cards used to be white with a red stripe and no photo or address and they never expired. You only needed a new one if it was lost or stolen and that was fine. You could memorize the number on it and not even carry your card like you do with your SIN.

And then they switched us to the new photo ones to make sure everyone would have photo ID

And then they decided health cards couldn't be photo id because they didn't want to manage who got health care and who could buy alcohol with the same system for whatever reasons, so they came out with the "photo id" that you are expected to have as an alternative to a drivers license if you don't drive...

But they wanted money, so they charge 35$ every five years and make you pray to their monument of bureaucracy to get it.

Anyway fuck this my ability to make medical appointments shouldn't expire in a country with free healthcare. If they had a problem with people using each other's health cards before and messing up records, they should have made it easier to get your own health card, and not harder. And yes they should have made it so anyone even an illegal immigrant or someone who lost all their ID in a fire could walk into a clinic and still get basic care.

Not this bullshit song and dance.

So gee, if I fail to renew online just before these card expire you will hear me rant about this bullshit again in 5 years.

They could at LEAST give you a disability id card that never expires that you can use for shit like accessing the food bank or for proof of identity etc... Maybe even then it would be easy to have discount programs for anyone on a disability pension, maybe any groceries that are deemed basic necessities enough could be partially or fully subsidized without extra applications and headaches?

But no it's like they want to make healthcare inaccessible for the people who need it the most.

In Love with Your Soul The Collection

This is going to be a pretty long synopsis, but I think this would end up being a pretty good sized story. After 25 years of marriage, Katara and Zuko find themselves adrift after their youngest leaves home for good. Two decades of parenting and building careers, they feel as if they are living with a stranger. Katara, only 49, still feels like there's more of life to experience. Zuko, on the other hand, is looking forward to his settled 50s. As they navigate their new normal, their drifting begins pulling them away from each other. Zuko is intimidated by the new friends his wife is making, while Katara is terrified that her once quietly passionate husband is becoming an old man before his time.

It all comes to a head when Katara is offered the chance of a lifetime to work in another country for a year. She's afraid to even bring it up to Zuko, but despite that, she starts making plans. It's mostly daydreaming at first. She looks up apartments, looks up the social life, and the local hotspots. She even contacts an old college friend who lives in the area, and makes plans to visit. The only problem is, this old friend is someone she used to date. Zuko sees Jet's name pop up in Katara's phone, and that coupled with how secretive she's been with her phone and computer leads him to the worst conclusion.

Without a word, he takes off, visiting places he and Katara used to love going to before work and family life consumed their couple life. He bounces between heartbroken rage and complete understanding as to why his vivacious wife might not find the prospect of being alone with him for another few decades tolerable. After a few days of being off the grid, he goes to a divorce lawyer, and at long last comes home with a separation agreement in hand. Katara, scared out of her mind and furious after not being able to reach her husband for days is shocked by the papers. That was not what she wanted, but then Zuko confronts her with his suspicions that she's having an affair, and declares he'd rather not have her than share her. That's when Katara comes clean about the job offer. She wasn't planning to take it, but she thought maybe she could at least convince Zuko to go travel with her to that country and explore a bit. She shows him the text messages, and her emails with her boss. She had asked for time to think, and time was winding down, but she assures Zuko that she knew how little he liked change, and moving to another country- even for a limited time- would be a massive change.

They have a long talk about their marriage and how disconnected from each other they feel, but in the end, they decided they're still in love enough to figure things out together. Then Zuko encourages her to take the position. As long as he's with her, he tells his wife, he'll feel at home.

And we will call this fic Our Rope is Braided

This song gave me very bittersweet, we've been together a long time, and our relationship has survived a lot (which is why I was a little confused when I saw someone say they wanted this song played at their wedding, but different interpretations for different folks). I wanted to come up with a concept that spoke to that. The thing is, I don't see Katara and Zuko having a ton of internal conflict in their relationship. I definitely don't think infidelity would be an issue. But what might be an issue is learning how to communicate after a massive change to their status quo. Katara's self-sacrificial nature would lead her to not talk about her goals and aspirations to her set-in-his-ways husband. Zuko might not know how to address his feelings of being left behind as Katara finds new social outlets, now that she's not a full time mother anymore, and this is what I came up with.

Part 6:

It took three days before he got the chance to talk to Jonathan alone. In the meantime, he had done a tutoring session with Nancy while Barb sat one table over. He tried to include her, but she scoffed and said she had her own studying to do. This prevented him from trying to get Nancy to take his weird dream any more seriously than she had before.

Tommy and Carol were a little bit more of a problem. They rarely left him alone at school, and always had somewhere they wanted to go after school and drag him along with them. He managed to shake them off by saying that he had something he needed to do for Nancy, but they looked like they didn’t really believe him.

He moved his car at lunchtime so he was parked closer to Jonathan and had the excuse to talk to him after school. Then he made sure to rush out at the last bell in order to catch him there before he drove away. He just barely made it.

“Hey Byers, hold up a second,” he said as he ran up the hill towards their cars.

Jonathan looked startled at being addressed. He’d been about to climb into his car and leave. “What?” He peered at Steve with suspicion.

“Just... Where are you headed in such a hurry?” Steve brushed his hair back, trying to look nonchalant. This talk was already not going according to plan.

“I’ve got to get to work,” Jonathan said. “What’s it to you?”

It had never occurred to Steve that Jonathan had a job after school. Jonathan had never talked about it, but it made sense in hindsight. Robin always used to talk about having to work in order to afford stuff for school and save up for college, and he knew she and Jonathan were probably in the same boat. Steve felt a bit like a jackass for never having realized that the first time he was this age.

Jonathan was still staring at him. Steve was thrown and tried to recover. “Nothing, nothing, I just... You’re friends with Nancy, right?”

“Wheeler?” Jonathan asked, sounding surprised. “Uh, not really?” He propped his arm up on the roof of his car and shrugged. “I mean, our little brothers are friends, but I don’t know her that well.”

“Oh, okay. I just thought...” Steve scratched his head. He really needed to have planned this conversation better. “Uh, scratch that. Different question, I guess? Your little brother is in middle school, right?”

“Yeah?” Jonathan said. He squinted at Steve, then turned around to look back up the road, towards the middle school. The two schools were only separated by a short road, and the middle school teams used the high school playing fields sometimes. “What about it?”

Steve’s brain was spinning around, trying to come up with a convincing lie that would explain why he was talking to Jonathan about Will. Why would he be asking about a nerdy little middle schooler? There were on complete opposite poles of any conceivable conversation point. He couldn’t even lie and say Nancy had asked him to check in, because that would quickly get back to her through Mike. So he went with a different lie, and relied on the only vaguely respectable thing Jonathan would know about him at this point. “Does he play any sports? ‘Cause Coach wants to see some leadership skills out of me if I’m gonna make captain and I figured if some middle schoolers needed help—”

Jonathan snorted and laughed, a short bark like a fox. “No, man,” he said. “Will is the total opposite of athletic.”

“Oh,” Steve said. He let his face fall into a frown, pretending that he didn’t already know that. “Well, do any of his friends play anything?”

“Pretty sure they don’t,” Jonathan said with a shake of his head. “They’re good kids, but they’re a bunch of geeks. They’re not gonna be interested in any jock stuff.”

Steve frowned for real this time. Lucas being on the basketball team was still two years off, so there really wasn’t any good excuse for him to talk to any of the kids if he didn’t want to look like a creep. “Yeah, I guess you’re right,” he said.

“Look, was that all? Only, I’m gonna be late.”

“No, sorry, that’s it.” Steve backed up and moved towards his own car. “Uh, nice talking to you?”

Jonathan shrugged and waved a little bit before getting in his car and driving off. Steve sat for a while in his own car with the door open and his feet on the gravel, watching people filter out of the high school and head home. He was zero for two in his attempts to recruit allies against the upcoming danger and running out of ideas of who to ask.

He saw Robin in the halls between classes sometimes, but he didn’t have any classes with her this year. That wouldn’t start until Mrs. Click’s class senior year, which was far too late. He didn’t know how to approach her. The idea of her looking at him like he was a total stranger depressed the hell out of him, and he didn’t know how he would even start a conversation. Tell her that they’re destined to be best friends, and that he already knew all her idiosyncrasies and loved her for them? That definitely wouldn’t fly with his current reputation. She would think he was hitting on her, would instantly reject him, and then his ‘friends’ would turn their attention on her and make her life hell. He couldn’t let that happen.

So instead he went back to the drawing board. Or, at least, the notebook. He focused this time on how the people who got involved interacted right now, and how much they would believe him if he tried to tell them the truth. He couldn’t tell the kids, because he would just be some high school douchebag to them at this point. He could try Joyce, but she might think he was threatening Will or Jonathan and get defensive of them. And Hopper would only see him as the rich asshole from the wild parties in Loch Nora and speeding tickets on back country roads.

He knew of one adult who might help him—the crazy-looking Murray Bauman. But he had absolutely no idea how to contact him. He didn’t live in Hawkins and his number wasn’t in the phone book.

Meanwhile, another weekend had gone by. He’d tried to blow off Tommy and Carol again, but they dragged him out to cruise around and find people to hang with. He listened in on the conversations, but it all seemed kind of petty. Also, it was weird how much of the relationship drama he remembered. He knew which couples were going to start dating and who was going to cheat on their girlfriend or boyfriend and who was going to get dumped.

Carol noticed that he was acting weird and brought it up one time too many, and he snapped at her to leave him be. She backed off, but she and Tommy looked upset afterwards. They left him alone for a bit after that, though he could tell that they wanted to confront him about it.

The days kept slipping away from him. His parents could tell that something was wrong, too, but he was able to keep them off his case by saying that things were going weird with his friends at school. The opposite tactic might have worked if he’d thought of it before he’d snapped at Carol. He didn’t think they’d buy it now.

Unpopular opinion time:

I keep seeing people on TikTok crying for Simon to be recast, because Rege doesn't want to be in Bridgerton anymore but Simon and Daphne "need" to be in it

No. No, they do not

First of all - recasting is bad 90% of the time and works only when the original wasn't that good or wasn't a developed character. None of this applies to Rege's portrayal of Simon. Hell, Bridgerton took of as it did BECAUSE Rege was so fantastic as this character and had fantastic chemistry with Phoebe. You can't just recast any other tall black actor and think that'll do it

Second - Simon and Daphne both have NOTHING to offer to the story further. They had their love story, they're happily married and are currently raising their own family. Their estate is canonically far from London, so they can't just come whenever, with their kids and all. More than that - they have not a single reason to come to London during the social season. They don't have a daughter that needs to find a husband, and Daphne's sisters are not their responsibility in that regard. Like it or not, but Simon and Daphne have their own, SEPARATE family. Simon canonically stated to dislike London during the social season, why would he even want to subject himself to it, unless he absolutely had to? "But Daphne likes balls!" Yes, and she can throw her own at their estate outside of social season, as she stated to wish to do in season 1

I believe the vehemence of some fans over this has come from the fact that Kate and Anthony are present for season 3. So of these two can be there, why not the Bassets?! Kate and Anthony are Bridgertons. They're literally the heads of that family. Anthony now has two sisters out in society, both of whom need to be chaperoned to the balls, introduced to suitors etc. Of course Violet and Kate would share the responsibilities in this. And Anthony is literally the Vicount, with many family business to attend to, so that's where he's at - with his family. But Simon and Daphne are not and were never supposed to be a part of Bridgerton family in the same capacity as Kate had become. They're beloved relatives, no doubt, but they have THEIR OWN FAMILY

The only moment where I think Simon was really missing, was at Anthony's failed wedding. But then again, Simon is a Duke. He's a Duke of an estate that has canonically been left in a disarray and had problems with crops that probably wouldn't be solved in one year turn. They just needed to address it more directly in season 2, that he had an urgent estate business to attend to. After all, that wedding WAS on a too short notice

I can't understand why so many fans decided that if Bassets aren't present with Bridgertons during the summer, it means they don't see them at all. In season 2 we weee all shown that all of Bridgertons have met Auggie before we first met him, even Colin who's constantly at travels. The detective work isn't that hard here. The series notoriously only takes place during the summer because of the social season. We're not shown what's going on the rest of the year but it's SO EASILY DEDUCED I can't!

In conclusion: no, Simon should not ever be recast. His and Daphne's character arcs have been perfectly finished and they're happy together, raising their family in the country as they wanted. They visit Bridgertons a lot off screen, when everyone is free to do so. Would I like some appearances? Sure, they'd be lovely, Simon and Daphne are my favorite Bridgerton couple and season 1 will always be superior for me. But those appearances would just be lovely nod to the fans, because they don't have any further storyline to offer. And such appearances wouldn't mean anything with a recasted Duke. Rege is the only Duke of Hastings that can ever be

A Very Specific Need

Work has been crazy. I started this new job a few months ago, and it’s been hectic at the office. I really do like my job and all my coworkers, but there was so much turnover in my department prior to my coming on board that no one really knew how bad it was. I’m constantly finding new issues that are actually old problems that were never addressed, or things that the previous administration either swept under the rug or genuinely never got around to; and here I am, the new guy, trying to navigate everything all at once. Everything’s genuinely a priority, but they’re all competing with each other and it feels like I’m just constantly putting out fires vs preventing them from happening in the first place.

I’m approaching 6 months here, and now that I’ve acclimated, I’ve lowkey

fallen into a pattern of waking up, going to work, coming home, working from home and going to sleep, just to get right back up do it all again. The days are starting to bleed into each other & it’s turning into a situation where I feel myself starting to go on autopilot.

Separately, I’ve been frustrated.

I haven’t had a whole lot going on in my personal life. Work has monopolized so much of my time; I couldn’t even tell you the last time I had a chance to truly decompress. The weekends have been relegated to being a short respite from work, but it’s not any real opportunity to recharge. It’s basically just long enough to get the edge off. And that’s not even addressing the sexual frustration.

On the one hand I feel almost completely drained, but on the other hand I have all of this pent-up sexual energy that’s had nowhere to go. I’ll be sitting at my desk and my mind will wonder off to some of the many places I’d rather be; but before I can even consider the thought, my phone will ring or there’ll be a knock at my door or some random outlook calendar reminder will go off. I don’t even have the luxury of being distracted during the day, and you already know what happens when I get home. I have no outlet. The only option I have at this point is to try and figure out some way to make the little bit of free time I have count, and lately I’ve been at a loss.

But that’s where you come in.

That’s where you shine through to break up the monotony of this never-ending cycle. That’s where you put on your cape and save me from the monotony of my day-to-day life. That’s where I get the chance to disconnect from everything that has tied me down these last few months and finally release. That’s where I need you. I need you to let me put in work. To give me a chance to see exactly what I’ve been missing, what I’ve been needing and what I’ve been craving. To let me finally play out the things I have in my mind that I haven’t even been able to think about; and believe me when I say there’s a lot.

I’ve been thinking about the things I want to do to you. With you. Things that turn you on & make you crave more. Things that give you the type of attention I’ve been needing. Things that’ll have you weak in the knees and leaving wet spots in your panties. Things that will cause you to make all the sounds that feed my soul, which is exactly what I’ve been needing; and the reality is, I need to hear you.

I need to hear you when you feel my lips against your skin. To tell me how it feels when I find that spot on your neck that makes you melt. How you like when I use my teeth as I work my way down to your collarbone. The anticipation you feel in the instant before I play with your nipples. Pinching and pulling on one while I use my tongue to draw circles on the other. Tell me how my kisses feel as travel down your body, or the things on your mind when I get comfortable and position myself between your legs. I want to know how soft my lips feel when they’re pressed against yours. I want you to tell me that I’ve been teasing you and you’re ready for more. I need to hear the desperation in your voice before my tongue makes a reappearance. I need to hear it wasn’t fair to keep you waiting when I bring you to the edge of the bed right before I dive in. I need to hear your moans to stoke the fire that were basically down to an ember. Tell me when your close so I can hold you in place. Beg me not to stop so you can get across the finish line. Since it’s spooky month I’ve decided to post that revamped horrorfell lore note I made and then took down because I wasn’t sure I was entirely sold on the changes. I’m still not, but we could always say this is just an alternate version bc I’m noncommittal lol

After several unsuccessful runs, Frisk finally makes it to Asgore. However, he isn’t hesitant - he kills them and uses all seven souls to break the barrier.

Similar to undertale, they revolt soon after, before Asgore can hurt anyone else, killing him in the process.

Frisk’s body was too damaged for their soul to return to it, as well as having lost the ability to reset when merged with the other souls.

The monsters are leaderless and scared, having only just been given their first sliver of hope in years and then having it dashed by Asgore’s actions. Undyne steps up with Papyrus as her right hand, determined to follow Frisk’s example and attempt seeking peace with the humans.

This goes terribly.

Monsters are only barely spared, and after months of discussion, are given a very, very short leash. They are not permitted to leave the premises of Mt Ebott and it’s surrounding forestry. A large “fence” is installed to indicate the border and keep an eye on them for any potential escapees.

But, at least, they can taste fresh air. See the sun, the stars. It’s not ideal but perhaps with time they can work something out with the humans…

Undyne is a decent queen. Papyrus a reliable Captain. Things are marginally improving, for a little while. Until the core stops working.

Alphys and Sans did everything they could when it started malfunctioning, but it had been destabilized by the barrier being broken. Ultimately, it shuts down altogether, and the monsters are at a loss.

They begin working on ways to harness solar energy instead, but in that time, with all of the monsters’ condensed magic no longer accumulating and circulating in the underground because of the barrier, and with its last leg of the core giving out, conditions everywhere start destabilizing.

The snow in Snowdin is melting, Waterfall is flooding, Hotland is cooling, and due to the dramatic change in atmosphere, buildings and structures are starting to crumble and fail. Maybe this could’ve all been addressed in time, but monsters had a bigger problem.

Perhaps they’d come to a settlement with the humans’ governing bodies, but this didn’t prevent word of their existence from traveling to the general populace. Researchers, hunters, even those morbidly curious, make a lot of effort to come and see the monsters for themselves, like some kind of zoo.

Fights break out, monsters go missing, and perhaps the Guard had been large enough to sustain the underground before, but not the entire surrounding area above ground now. Especially not against violent, fully adult humans. And with waning energy, Sans and Alphys are struggling to make things to keep them safe, and their attention is spread too thin trying to cover so many bases.

Monsters are running out of crucial resources, under constant threat, and there is nothing that can protect them. Undyne instates law after law, separates the Guard into new statuses for who is and isn’t allowed to leave the mountain, and living conditions are plummeting rapidly.

There is nothing they can do.

Over years, monsters begin hunting and scavenging on the surface for what they can, but with the area sectioned off even wild life becomes more scarce. They can’t sustain the population on that alone.

In an act of desperation, driven by starvation, one of the Guard’s hunters kills and begins eating a human. One of the others stops him, but Papyrus has to report this to Undyne.

By this point, of those who haven’t Fallen Down, few monsters are of a sane mind, including the queen herself. They’d since begun using humans’ own weapons against them to level the field, perhaps this should be the next step. After all, plenty of humans come to harass them all year round. A more reliable resource.

Papyrus goes to his brother, worried and unwilling to condone Undyne’s new laws, Sans goes to Alphys, but she, of course, sides with Undyne. So Sans goes to speak with the Queen herself.

A tremendous argument breaks out, Undyne blaming Sans’ own lack of alternate solutions as what’s made this necessary, but before Sans nearly kills her in an unexpected fight, Papyrus had heard about his brother going to see Undyne and arrives to stop them. He gets severely injured in the process, but Sans retreats to save his life, sparing Undyne for the time being.

While Papyrus is out of commission, Undyne enacts her new laws, and by the time he can return months later, they’re fully instated. The injury had been to his head, causing serious memory and focus problems. Undyne takes advantage of this to coerce him back into his old position, and by this point, Sans has already come to accept this as the way things are.

Conditions underground only become more and more abysmal. Monsters gradually mutating into what it is humans feared in the first place. But still, they go to the mountain despite warning upon warning. How long do the monsters have left before the disappearances become too many? How long before the humans decide to break their agreements and do as they’d threatened to in the first place?

Longer than would have been merciful to the monsters, that’s for sure.

happy first birthday to Cariad, my postwar Remus x Tonks survive AU! 🥳

I wanted to finish this thing in a matter of months and then life got in the way. It's a year later and I'm still not done (but I'm so close to finishing!). So, in honor of Cariad's first birthday, let me tell you about it and gush about my blorbos.

I didn't plan on writing Cariad. I was almost done with Collide, my first fanfic, when a reader asked if there would be a sequel. I thought on it and decided to do it.

I had a LOT of fears going into writing Cariad. Unlike my time-traveling Tonks series, or the time traveling Teddy one, which had a pretty set structure with canon events for me to rely on, Cariad was a brand new endeavor. The central question that guided my plot:

If Remus and Tonks had lived, would they have stayed together?

and, what is the story about, when you strip everything else away?

What makes a life worth living and fighting for?

My quickest answer to the first question was always yes, but not without significant growth and challenges. They got married in wartime and didn't have much time together to be a 'normal' couple. When the big thing is taken away - the war - and the world is being reconstructed around them, what happens next?

The second question has a simple answer: love. Love is worth living and fighting for, including love of self, love of other, and love of community. Cariad addresses all of these things, told in three story "arcs," as I call them.

The first 25 chapters follow the immediate reconstruction of the wizarding world. Remus and Tonks are finding their place in this new society that isn't yet healed. There's grief, there's rebuilding, there's struggle. But most of this is centered on the world around them - how do we rebuild after the war? How do we create a society that's friendly to a family with a lycanthrope? There's love of community here - Remus and Tonks spent all these years fighting for their beliefs in improving the world around them, and now it's here. But it's not easy. Post-war reconstruction is messy and hard. Remus experiences so many disappointments, job setbacks, and Tonks is naive enough to think it'll get better more quickly. She learns that's not how it works, and she's inundated with work and her own ideals. By the time we get to the early 2000s, three years after the war is over, things are better, and their family expands.

The second 25 chapters, the second 'arc' of the story, centers on love of the other. When Remus and Tonks's daughter, Hope, is born, she's born with lycanthropic traits. Not a werewolf, but not 'healthy.' Remus's insecurities, coupled with Tonks's frustrations, lead to a painful separation. Their relationship has been focused on each other, yes, but so much of their energy has been put into the world around them and not necessarily the other. Hope's birth reveals these deep-seated problems that needed to be resolved, and so Remus and Tonks have to fight for their relationship. They had to fight to hold onto each other because committed relationships like this are both hard work and serious play. It was really hard to write some of these chapters, but ultimately, it was very gratifying to put them back together stronger than before.

The last 25 chapters, the third 'arc' of the story, centers on the family, especially the oldest children, Teddy and Hope. Here we're getting into the lesson of loving yourself. Teddy's the eldest and has experienced more prejudice, as a result of being around when the world was not as kind to Remus. His sense of self-worth is tied up in his ability to be a good brother, a good student, and a perfect son. He'll need to learn that he's good because he's Teddy, not because he perfects a role. Hope, having what I'm framing as a chronic illness, has a chip on her shoulder. She wants to prove she's just as good as Teddy and her famous parents, and she'll need to learn she doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. In this third part, we'll see Remus and Tonks settling into parenthood, making mistakes, but the spotlight will go to Teddy and Hope, as they come of age and come to terms with who they are.

At the end of the day, these are the three major plot points of Cariad. Fight for the world around you, so you can make it a better place. Fight for those you love, so you can play and work to build a life together. Fight for yourself, so you can be happy with who you are, as you are, because you're worth it.

It's been hard work to produce this fic, as creating plot points has been a lot of original work. Nevertheless, I've enjoyed writing it, and for those who have read it, I hope you've enjoyed being along with me for the journey.

Omg I wanna talk about the inconsistencies in rise of red cause ik it’s had to have been a few years since Audrey happened but omg what happened to Jane? Like ik mal, evie, and jay went on a trip but like we’ve never ever heard of anything else outside of the isle and the usa so where in the name of god did wonderland come from?????

Like I’d understand if it was on the isle but it isn’t, and if it was then mal and all them would’ve been aware of said place and they for sure would’ve taken over the isle cause no hate to jay, carlos, and evies parents but they aren’t taking down the queen of hearts

ESP SINCE EVEN IF THEY ALL WENT TO THE SAME SCHOOL THE ORIGINAL VKS ARE OLDER THAN THE NEW VKS

Which implies that either all of them are now old and decrepit, they all had their children a little too early, orrrrr maleficent, hades and hook aren’t actually them.

AND OMG WHERE ARE BENS PARENTS?????

Because the movie or maybe the whole trilogy (cause there’s no way just one movie coming out) is what I speculate to be the reason why villains were moved to the isle in the first place. And if that’s true then everyone or at least the people there at the time (fairy godmother, maleficient, ulyana, hook, hades, etc) would remember the incident although cause of time travel it didn’t happen.

Let’s address the time travel, If there are other incidents after what happens to the queen of hearts then it clearly didn’t affect her personality but it must’ve still affected how belle and the beast saw villains because nothing was said but because nothing was said is why we have to question whether or not villains were still banished to the isle.

If they weren’t then all the original vks stories will be very different especially Mals because in the first movie her mothers goal was to take over Auradon and steal the wand after they were invited to join the school. But if they weren’t exiled then mal is already going to that school and I don’t think her mother would care as much and try as hard as she did to get mal to steal/give her the wand.

If they were then there’s still a separate incident involving ulyanna and her friends. (if Bridgette/the qoh was someone so kind and stuff is that incident the reason she’s considered a vk or will the hearts always be villains?) Which might not affect the queen of hearts as much or as badly as the first one but still affecting auradon either as a whole or just the school and its students bad enough to warrant them being exiled.

The time travel plot potentially erases all of the lore from the previous movies, because if they keep going back and fixing problems, if said problems were the cause for the villains ending up on the isle, then the vks and maybe even the villains won’t be who they are today.

ALSO HOW LONG IS THE TIME GAP CAUSE RENOVATIONS WERE DONE IN BETWEEN THE THIRD AND FOURTH MOVIES AND THE WHOLE LAYOUT IS DIFFERENT SPEAKING OF WHICH WHY WOULD THEY CHANGE THE SCHOOL TO LOOK LIKE IT DID IN THE PAST IT JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE IK LIKE FILM WISE ITS JUST EASIER FOR THE TEAM TO DO THAT THEN GO BACK TO THE CASTLE AND MAKE A WHOLE SEPARATE SET FOR THE TIME TRAVEL STUFF BUT FROM THE FGM AND THE QUEEN AND KINGS PERSPECTIVE THERES NO REASON TO DO THAT

AND WERENT MALEFICIENT, THE EVIL QUEEN, JAFAR, AND CRUELLA DE VIL LIKE BESTIES DURING SCHOOL WHY IS MALEFICIENT HANGING WITH ULYANNA???

That would imply they are of similar age which just doesn’t make sense because Ursula would then be older than those four but I’m pretty sure all the kids are of the same or similar age, did they have kids at the same time or something cause time wise it’s not clicking for me
