Missing Pack
Stiles Summer Stories 2024
London was lonely, when he first arrived. He didn't know anyone, just his parents, who he hated during that time. They'd taken him away from the love of his life, from his chance of pack, from the town where his biological parents' graves were located. They thought a chance in scenery would help him. They were wrong. All he was was miserable and lonely.
Even when the London Pack reached out to him, after apparently having gotten a call from Peter Hale (Derek's dead uncle who had been resurrected but then Jackson was apparently the last one who got to judge that considering he'd been legally dead too for a bit and Jesus fucking Christ there had been so much trauma to unpack actually).
The London Pack helped, somewhat. Alpha Hayes was a good and fair man and he took Jackson under his wing and even recommended him an actual therapist (not a school counselor), who was a supernatural being herself and with whom he could work through everything. There were even a bunch of bearable people to hang out with in the pack.
But it still wasn't the same. He missed his girlfriend and his best friend above all else.
Jackson and Lydia broke up, agreed that the long distance wasn't working for them, they were both too physical for that. But they'd always love each other and deep down, Jackson knew one day they'd be together again and then they'd stay together.
Danny was tricky, at first. When Jackson thought his best friend had no idea about the supernatural. But he actually did. Danny knew. From thereon out, it became so much easier for them to talk and they talked for hours, multiple times a week. Danny kept him updated on Beacon Hills, together with Lydia. Often times, they'd talk together, all three of them. Those times, it felt like home.
And then something fucked up happened in Beacon Hills and the most unexpected person suddenly became one of Jackson's most important people. Fucking Stiles Stilinski, of all people.
Stiles got possessed by a chaos demon. It killed Allison. Lydia had been a wreck, unable to get a whole sentence out. Danny had taken the phone from her and, with a tight throat himself, explained to Jackson what had happened. The demon, having taken over Stiles for months, using him to kill people, killing Allison just before they were able to exorcise it.
It also killed Lydia's boyfriend, who was the twin-brother of Danny's boyfriend and that was a kind of rom com sub-plot that Jackson would have loved to witness. Danny's boyfriend left and found his way to London, because Danny sent him there because Danny knew a wolf and thus a pack in London, and somehow, for a while, Jackson was dating Danny's ex, which Danny found way too funny, thank you very much.
Stiles had been possessed by a demon and he had killed two pack-mates, on top of countless others. And it had severely fucked him up. Lydia spoke so often to Jackson about how worried she was about him, how he wasn't attending pack meetings and wasn't talking and not going to school and that nobody from the McCall Pack could really get through to him.
So Jackson asked her for his number, startling them both equally. The first time he called, both of of them didn't speak at all, beyond Jackson's 'hello', but at least Stiles didn't hang up on him. They remained on the phone for an hour. The second time, Jackson found the guts to say what he'd wanted to say. But even with therapy, talking about the kanima still hurt.
It was exactly what Stiles needed to hear though. That he wasn't alone. Wasn't the only one who'd been used to kill, who had been robbed of his bodily autonomy by another to kill. They bonded, over this trauma that nobody else could relate to, this jarring, awful thing that had been done to them, through them. It took some, for Stiles to start talking too, but Jackson got that.
Somehow, Stiles Stilinski became Jackson's best friend, beside Danny. They talked near daily. Once Stiles was actually doing better about the possession, they started talking about other things too. For the first time, Jackson was open to get to know Stiles. And he liked Stiles.
Gradually, over the following months, the Hale Pack reassembled in London. Two Alphas were a bit too much for Beacon Hills and Derek had conceded, had packed up and left with Peter, Cora, Isaac, Boyd and Erica. Came to London, because he… still considered Jackson his beta.
The Hayes Pack was nice, but the Hale Pack were where he belonged. And he was happy. Happier. But something was still missing. His people were still missing. He was making connections with Cora, Isaac, Boyd and Erica (honestly, him and Erica really clicked in a way that terrified Boyd and Derek), but his pack felt incomplete without his people.
Finally, graduation came. He couldn't bring himself to ask where everyone was going for college, too afraid that this time, it would tear them apart. Part of what made it so easy to keep contact with Danny, Stiles and Lydia was because they were all in the same town, they'd meet up in Stiles' bedroom and video call him together, they'd have movie nights in Danny's living room and have him on speaker phone while he watched the same movie at his place, they'd send him pictures of them at Lydia's pool during the hottest summer days. Once the three separated and went to different colleges, in different time-zones, it would become much harder to get them all together.
Knocking on the door disturbed his depressing thoughts and since nobody else in this damn house – lazy ass werewolves – could get the damn door, Jackson stalked over to it annoyed, cursing Boyd and Erica for being too busy making out. Until he opened the door.
Danny had an arm around Stiles' shoulders, Lydia standing on Stiles' other side, all three of them looking at him with matching grins. And at what point had Danny and Stiles become friends? Oh, right. When the painfully obvious truth of Stiles' bisexuality became public knowledge (a guy could only get away with so many tee-shirt and flannel/hoodie combinations and asking if he was attractive to gay guys before it became undeniable). Jackson stared at them, stunned.
"Did you forget all manners, Jackson?" Lydia looked at him sternly. "Ask us in, it is hot out here."
"That's just all the hot people out here," Stiles grinned, motioning at the three of them.
Danny snorted and rolled his eyes, but it was so clearly fond. It took another second before Jackson launched himself at them, wrapping his arms around all three of them so tightly, like he never wanted to let go again because he didn't. There was laughter, but there was also sobbing.
"Did you know London has a lot of great colleges?" Stiles asked.
"But…" Jackson blinked, staring at their large suitcases.
"We're here to stay," Danny smirked. "Though I am not taking a room anywhere close to you and/or Lydia because I do not need to listen to the epic reunion sex."
Lydia huffed and hit him on the arm. Jackson watched them enter the mansion like they owned the place. Jackson felt three pack-bonds snap into place as his pack was finally complete.

A Day in Hell (Amber Karev Angst)
Previous Part
Age Rating: 12+
Chapters: Two of Six
Fandom: Grey’s Anatomy
Fancast: Bruce Greenwood as Ian Talbert
Canon Episode: Season 17 Episode 1
AN: I wanted to do a story to showcase the hardships health care workers faced when covid hit. The doctors and nurses put our health first during a worldwide crisis and we should be forever grateful for that even without a pandemic to prove what should always be known.
Summary: Amber looks at Ian’s scans and the results are not what she hoped.
Words: 538
Chapter Links Here: 1,2,3,4,5,6
April 1st, 2020
Amber and Jackson sit in the chairs in the monitor room watching Ian as he lays inside the MRI waiting for the images to come up.
“How’s your mom holding up?” Jackson asks.
“She’s good. She’s doing a lot of reading and knitting, and Aaron comes over as much as he can. Lucky she’s a hoarder who had a bunch of vitamins in the back of her medicine cabinet.”
“Do you think she could ship those to us?” Amber grins, My mom is good too.”
Amber narrows her eyes at the mention of Catherine who she still resents for firing her brother twice. Once when he came forward as an accomplice to Meredith’s insurance fraud and the second time when she bought his hospital out of pure spite towards her husband not caring who is collateral damage in the process. Alex fortunately was able to become co chief of peds with Hayes here but his sister’s ire toward Catherine hasn’t diminished.
Jackson continues not seeing Amber’s disdain, “She’s getting lonely without Richard in the house, so she lets Harriet sleep over. It’s pretty much the only thing keeping her sane since surgeries are suspended.”
“Well as long as Catherine Fox is happy all is right with the world.” Amber responds in obvious sarcasm that causes Jackson to frown.
“I guess we’re still feeling petty towards my mother.”
“Your mother who stood by and let Bailey fire my brother.” Amber reminds her friend who looks at her with narrow eyes, “Your mother who made Tom Koracick the boss of us. Your mother who bought the hospital my brother was just starting to shape with his bare hands on his own just to spite her husband who was suffering from cobalt at the time.”
“She didn’t know about the cobalt.”
“Oh so it was okay for her to humiliate her husband in every way professionally as long as he was healthy?”
“No, I’m not saying that I just-”
Amber holds her hand up, “You know what if we keep going your probably gonna kick me out after I say something really raunchy towards the woman who gave birth to you so for the sake of our friendship, we are gonna stop talking and just wait for the scans.”
Jackson gets a text alert and checks, “Oh man. Burn trauma is coming in, I’m being paged.”
Amber widens her eyes at that, “Really? Please take me with you, I’ll do the dishes for three weeks, laundry too!”
Jackson gets up, “Nope somebody has to be here and tell Ian what his scans are showing and that is where you come in. I gotta go, page Pierce to take over.”
Amber scoffs at Jackson as he walks away, “I hate you!”
“I know you do!” Jackson closes the door behind him and runs off.
Suddenly the scans come up on the monitor and Amber turns to look at them before the sight stops her dead. The images show that there are ground glass opacities around Ian’s lungs, the spread of it indicates he is developing pneumonia. Coupled with the covid and decrease in oxygen intake Amber estimates that without rapid treatment Ian won’t be able to last the night.

Okay now I have to ask, from that list I made or absolutely any other ideas, so you have any thoughts on crossovers between our ocs? 🥺
Omg! Hold onto your hat! This is gonna get weird!
Roni Tanner
Mia Queen- I feel like they could develop like kind of a sister-y relationship when the Gambit goes down since Oliver is kind of the brother Roni never had and she feels a duty to look out for his kid sisters.
Rose Smythe
Annika Webster- I see potential for superhero girl shenanigans! And also meddling and matchmaking attempts!
Kelsey Doyle- they seem to have similar vibes and I feel like they would be wonderfully chaotic together!
Kris Smythe
Sadie Maddox- I think these two could get along and maybe cause a little trouble together
Carli Tanner
Ophelia Wayne- she seems like exactly the kind of boss bitch Carli would love to have in her corner
Ruby Fitzherbert
Finley Rider- I feel like we could play up the angst with this. Sisters separated by circumstance and whatnot
Piper Pan
Finley Rider- I also see a lot of potential for mischief and shenanigans here
Winnie Pan- another possible awesome sister duo! I see a lot of adventure potential with these two
Regina Grimhilde
Violet Kingsleigh- I feel like these two could have similar paths of being sent to Auradon with ulterior motives then (presumably) realizing things aren't what they've always thought
Bobbi LaCosta
Jane Forester- I see a whole"best friend's brother" situation developing with them and Dean
Charlotte Howard-Danes- I'm seeing bonding over dancing and flighty absent moms!
Sam Gleason- with the way Miss Patty kind of mothers Kirk, I assume she does something similar with Sam. I see that leading to a sister/bestie bond
Lila Lupin
Gemini Black- I think these two could have a very interesting friendship. Their personalities seem like they would compliment each other will
Athena Prewett
Bobbie Fortescue- This could be an interesting pair. Both war orphans (well half orphan on Athena's side), both cousins of people directly In The Drama, both separated from their families by their sorting. I see kindred spirits here
Phoenix Dumbledore- I just wanna see what these two would get up to since the Beauxbatons stayed with the ravenclaws.
Venus Malfoy- Athena would be the friend supporting her to rebel against her parents.
Stella Knight
Atalanta Jackson- As the two girls closest to Jason I feel they're constantly tag teaming to keep him alive 🤣
Cassandra Aelius- People think Stella's kind of crazy for trying to tell the future using the stars so I feel like she would at least listen to her prophecies even if she doesn't always believe them
Alexa Cantwood
Crystal Solace- I feel like we've discussed these two before and I still want them to be besties
Elyana Chase- we're always here for half sister adventures!
Stella Beauregard- I think that these two would be friends. I also think Stella would see Alexa and Lucian and be like "Ugh you guys are disgusting" because that's how cute they are
Victoria Blofis- She seems so chill and I think that could have that kind of friendship you can only have with people you've known through all your awkward phases.
Gwen Macintosh
Brandy Hayes- I'm seeing these two being like parallel "one girl field agent" type of friends who can bond by laughing at/bitching about their teams together
Xenia Hart- I'm guessing she's Harry's daughter so I see them being best friends since babyhood and the ultimate agent team when their grown up. We'd either have to give one of them a new codename or we could play with the hilarity of two Guinevere's on top of the two galahads
Rikki Lane
Chloe Grace Routledge- I see these two acting as literally ALL of John B's impulse control.
Cody Maybank- These two and Kie would be terrifying together. I can already tell. I don't know why though.
Jo Clark- Rikki would totally be sympathetic to Jo running to the Cut to get away from her problems. They would bond over being kook defectors and Rikki would offer to let Jo stay with her or borrow clothes or anything
Sharon Henderson
Beth Munson (Thompson?)- I feel like Sharon would be like the Dustin to Nancy, Beth, and Barb's Mike Lucas and Will. The one who joined the squad late (sixth grade) but blended in flawlessly
Cara Henderson- can you say ultimate big sister duo? From what I can tell, Cara would be the athletic sister to Sharon's need sister and I love that!
Samantha Mayfield- They would totally team up to kick monster ass.
Sidney Hopper- These two and Jonathan would have totally been like the three musketeers growing up so I could see a besties turned worst enemies and back progression with them.
Stacy Byers- Similar to Sidney, I'm seeing a "sisters in all but blood" situation
Roxy Winchester
Ainsley Winchester- Roxy always wanted a sister so I think she would love Ainsley. I can see them trying to be the peacekeepers of the family and rolling their eyes at the boys constantly.
Deborah Winchester- these two would have either been best friends or constantly at each other's throats after John found Roxy. Either way, I think they would have loved each other. I could see them being a formidable hunting team to rival their brothers.
Elle Winchester- the adopted sisters with the secret pasts? I love it!!! Potential for lots of drama and shocking reveals!
Esther Cott- I'm not sure exactly what these two would do together but I feel like they would make interesting friends
Drea Jones
Ana Andrews- Total parallels for their brothers. They have the brain cells. Do not get paid enough for this shit.
Charlotte Jones- The female role model Drea needs in her life. Sister Bonding (TM). Will fuck you up.
Delaney Carlyle- Chaos. All the chaos. I like it!
Fallon Parris Jones- You know that part in The Parent Trap between Annie and Hallie realizing they're twins and the end of camp? I feel like that's these two when Fallon comes back to Riverdale
Harper Harrison- These two would be great friends. Drea is totally the kind of friend to learn sign language along with Harper so they can talk shit about people without anybody knowing. Also was Riverdale High Drama Department's designated choreographer, she would talk about musicals all day with her
Kris Keller- As Kevin's best friend, I could see Drea becoming a regular fixture in the Keller household to the point where Tom will walk into one of the twins' rooms to find Drea sprawled on the floor with her sketchbook and just be like "yeah sure why not?"
Lyra Lovell- Creative dancer girls!!! Will spill blood for Jughead Jones. Exhausted by Gladys Jones.
Tanya Conway- As someone who loves a good mystery and, thanks to Archie, never really believed Svenson was the Black Hood, dress would totally help Tanya prove her dad's innocence.
Roni Stark
Alessia Stark- We could do some interesting things here with both of them having the serum used on them. Plus I've never considered Roni having a big sister. Could be fun!
Adelaide Stark- Roni would absolutely ADORE Adi! She'd be the cool aunt who took her on trips aunt bought her whatever she wanted. She'd also be the one to bake cookies and make pillow courts for movie marathons.
Aris Stark-- Much like with Adi, Roni would be Aris's ultimate supporter growing up. When the boys go to space and the girls are left behind, Roni tries to guide Aris through developing unexpected superpowers. She's been there herself so she should be able to handle it, right?
Athena Stark- Ultimate Aunt Roni would help her ambitious niece get anything her little heart desired
Ava Potts- Ava describing Roni "my aunt who's not really my aunt bursts into flames. Sure why not?"
Cora (& Orion) Royce- Roni would totally love this little girl and her determination to help protect her family. She'd do everything she could to help her
Zora Wright- I could see these two being great friends
Cora Hargreeves
Alice Hargreeves- Cora likes to think she was the empathetic sibling growing up. She tried to include Viktor as much as possible and would have treated Alice no different. When they grow up and find themselves the most stable of their family, they're have to be the brain cells to help keep everyone focused to stop the apocalypse
Andromeda Hargreeves- Cora would try to help Andromeda develop her powers by levitating small objects around her for her to try to catch. She doesn't blame her for leaving and welcomes her home
Audrey- They would totally bond over music and being the "artsy" siblings
Cassie Hargreeves- Oh this could be fun! Cora's psychic but she has a lot of trouble with that part of her powers do when cause around he uses Cora more for her telekinesis. Then when caddies gone he would push her more to have visions.
Cleo Sullivan- Anyone who can work with Diego on a regular basis and not kill him is immediately a friend of Cora's. She'd be glad to have another girl around who knows how to fight
Kamaria Hargreeves- We love a long lost sister in this house! I see a lot of room for shenanigans here
Max Carmichael- Cora would either love Max or she would annoy the hell out of her. I'm not sure which. Maybe both
Mira Hargreeves- "My thirteen year old brother and his eighteen year old daughter just fell through a time portal to stop the apocalypse. Sounds about right." -Cora Hargreeves
Mireille Labonair- Cora would probably be wary of anyone who agreed to work with her father but once she got past that, she'd love that Luther had someone who made him happy
Odessa Hargreeves- Cora would hate having her sister resent their family but she wouldn't her.
Poppy- Cora would love Poppy! She adores Grace so having a sister like her would be awesome. When they grow up she would love getting to finally show her the world!
Sierra Nearing- Cora actually works at Griddy's after leaving the Academy. Sierra would probably be her first real friends and I love that! Cora would show her all the sculptures she works on when she's not at the diner. Curiously, her shifts never line up with her siblings' visits so she still doesn't know Sierra knows them beyond what's she's told her. Even Diego and Klaus who she actually sees regularly.
Vienna Montgomery- As Diego's designated favorite sibling, Cora would have met Vienna and immediately love her. They would be great friends and cora would only be mildly surprised but not unhappy when Vienna shows up to the funeral.
Virginia West- Cora would absolutely love Ginny! Books are some of her favorite things and watching Ginny literally bring stories to life would be like magic to her.
Wilhelmina Hargreeves- Cora might resent Willa a little bit for leaving, but she still loves her and understands why she did it. When she comes back for the funeral, Cora is glad to see Willa just like all the others.
Mickey Daniels (& Melissa van Aren, Emily Kirkpatrick, and Amy Turner)
Alyssa Solomon- If there's one thing Mickey Daniels loves, it's a challenge. Befriending Alyssa Solomon has proven to be one of the bigger challenges Mickey's encountered. The girl has secrets on top of secrets. Lucky for Mickey, secrets are her chosen trade.
Annalise Goode- Mickey's part of the welcome committee for new students so she'd be totally excited to meet Annalise! I could see them being like workout partners and training together
Leia Gallagher- Mickey would think it's so coul that Latoya is a direct descendant of Gilly! They'd probably spend a lot of time talking about places they've travelled and having parental figures who are always away.
Sami Upton
Abbie Hudson- These two would totally have been best friends growing up! They would have spent all their time practicing gymnastics moves and driving Finn and Noah crazy. They probably would have decided to join Glee together just to try it and both fell in love with it.
Christina Hummel- Sami doesn't agree with the way the football team treats the Hummel twins. She also doesn't do much to interfere for fear of losing her own social standing. As an original Glee member, she's been friends with Kurt and at least frenemies with Christina since freshman year.
Joy Schuester- Sami would totally be the friend Joy would look at when Will does something crazy/stupid/embarrassing like "Do you see what I have to deal with???" Only for Sami to sheriff and start laughing like "I'm sorry I can't help you, but this is hilarious."
Kendall Pierce- Sami would love Kendall because she too would see no reason to choose between cheer and Glee. I could see them being kind of a mirror for Quinn and Britt
Ok finally done!!! Wow that was a lot.

An Unlikely Support System - Hayes and Amelia
Yesterday’s episode may or may not have completely inspired me to write a bunch of fics. So prepare for about 4 new fics from me today, and then none for awhile afterwards unless something really sparks my interest because I have GOT to start on my last final for school that’s due in 4 days, and then I have to work. A lot. Christmas season is about to get hectic. I plan on uploading 1 Merhayes Christmas fic on Christmas day. And it’s super cute and fluffy. Anyways, enjoy this fic of Hayes and Amelia talking following the events of 17x06. This one follows canon. The next one will be an AU. Then I’ll post the second canon following fic, before the last one (the longest one) which will be back to AU. Enjoy!
“Shepherd, you okay?” Hayes called out as he noticed Amelia walking slowly through the hospital, almost in a daze. “Huh?” She responded, snapping out of her worries to look up at the person who’d called her name. “Are you alright? Did something happen with the kidnapper?” Hayes asked as he approached Amelia. “Oh, uh, no. He’s still alive.” Amelia tried to stop the tears welling up in her eyes as Hayes looked at her, concerned. “You look upset. Do you want to talk about it?” Amelia instantly understood why Meredith liked hanging out with Hayes. He was gentle, he didn’t push, but he offered to be a listening ear for the people he cared about when they needed it.
“It’s Meredith.” She finally said as she wrestled with her emotions in her head. Hayes’ heart sunk at the sound of distress in Amelia’s voice as she said Meredith’s name. “She… had woken up. And she was doing great.” Amelia took a deep breath. “Wait, she woke up?” Hayes said, confused. He hadn’t heard from anyone that she’d woken up. He would’ve gone to see her for a moment, to hear her voice and make her laugh when he was able to. “Yeah. She did. But…” Amelia’s voice trailed off as she felt herself start to cry. “The patient in the room across from her started to code. And so, she took off her oxygen, disconnected her IV and went to help because she didn’t think the code team was getting there quick enough.” She continued, with a slight laugh, trying her best to compose herself. Hayes cracked a half-smile. Of course Meredith would do that – she had once again proven herself to be exactly what he’d said she was – fierce, and someone with crazy amounts of teeth and grit. This news wasn’t surprising to him.
“But-” Amelia said sorrowfully, shaking her head before making eye contact with him and tearing up. “She collapsed. After she finished in the patient’s room.” This was the news that surprised him. “What? Is she okay?” He said, turning around, wondering if he should go check on her. “Hayes…” Amelia said again, placing her hand on his arm. “She was placed on a ventilator. She’s not doing good, Hayes. And I don’t know what to do, or how to tell the kids, Link, Maggie, Cristina, or Alex.” She said, tears falling freely from her eyes. This was the news that broke him. “I know you guys wer- are close. And I feel awful that nobody told you that she was awake. You deserved the chance to see her and talk to her.” She said as she placed her hand on his arm again.
“The last time I talked to her… she told me that she was afraid to fall asleep, because she was scared that she wouldn’t wake up. I told her that everyone was scared of her because she was so fierce, and she fought to no ends over the smallest things. That this virus had nothing on her.” Hayes closed his eyes as he told this to Amelia. He hadn’t shared their conversation with anyone. “You’ve tested negative right?” Amelia said after they’d stood in silence, sharing their grief for Meredith. “Yeah, why?” He looked at her, and sniffled. She pulled him into a hug. She knew they both needed it. She knew Hayes wouldn’t announce it publicly, but she could tell that he cared for her sister a lot, and that he had no one around to comfort him through this because they kept their developing friendship so under the radar. So, she decided that she’d be there for him. Because he was going to need it, and so was she.
After they pulled back from their hug, Amelia pulled a smile from deep within her emotions. “Shepherd?” Hayes said as she was about to walk away. “Yeah?” She turned back around. “The night she first collapsed; I was the one that found her in the parking lot. And I’ve been worried sick about her ever since. After she fell asleep, I hadn’t heard much about her condition from anyone, which was terrifying. So, thank you for updating me. I appreciate it.” He smiled weakly at her. “Thank you for finding her and being there for her. I’m glad she has a friend like you.” Hayes nodded, appreciating Amelia’s kind words. “Night, Shepherd.” Hayes said, directing a small smile her way.
As awful as the world around him seemed, he was glad to have Amelia’s support. He knew that they both would need as much support as they could get while Meredith was on the vent. “Night, Hayes. Stay safe.” She said, walking away. The feeling was bittersweet as she headed home. Hayes decided that he’d go to his hotel for a few hours, talk to his boys, get some rest, and then go back as early as possible to sit with Meredith and talk to her for a little while. She needed him again, and even if she couldn’t hear him, he’d be there for her. He promised her that when he first found her in the parking lot, and he wasn’t about to break it now.

3. I don't know. Nobody? Maybe because it's a sitcom...
4. Omar Shana - he cheated on Ander with his sister's boyfriend and in season 5 he was such a dick most of the time. In the first seasons I loved him so much, it was so sad seeing this development.
5. George Tucker again. Even if I didn't like him from the beginning there would have been some potential.
6. Katniss Everdeen herself, I hated how she treated Peeta when he came back from the Capitol and all of her self pity.
The most attractive male and female character:

A cute low-key ship:
1. Mandy Milkovich x Lip Gallagher
2. Jackson Avery x April Kepner
3. Cameron Tucker x Mitchel Pritchett
4. Nano Garcia x Rebeca (I know there never happened something and they talked only one time but my fantasy brain loved the thought about it soooo much I can’t get over it)
5. Lemon Breeland x Levon Hayes
6. Finnick Odair x Annie Cresta
My favorite storyline / moment:
1. In season 1 when Ian visits Mickey in jail. “Say that again and I rip your tongue out of your head” There were so many perfect Gallavich moments but that was the first one which catched me!
2. When Mark told Lexie about their future and that they were meant to bes while Lexie was dying. It was so fucking sad and unfair but so emotional.
3. Every quote from the Phil's- Osophy
4. Carla and Samuels Macarrones Scene
5. When Wade and Zoe finally got together in the night George wanted to marry Lemon. The sexual tension was fucking incredible and Wade was so fucking hot.
6. When Clove died and screams Cato’s name and Cato came too late and only found her body and cried. (this scene ist only from the book). But I liked the story of Haymitch’s games, too. His alliance with Maysilee. The idea of him being a hot and smart young guy that couldn’t handle the memory of the games and the loss of his loved ones is so emotional and sad.
A storyline that never should have been written:
1. The break up of Ian and Mickey in season 5 only because of Ians mental health. Mickey tried so much to help Ian and Ian blamed Mickey without any reason. I was so furious.
2. Alex leaving Jo for Izzie and Izzie having kids from Alex sperm ???? This was a fucking joke. Yeah, hated the last Alex and Izzie break up and I would have loved seeing them stay together and grow as persons and lovers. I rooted so much for them. There was so much potential and I have to admit I prayed for her coming back and saving the relationship. Even years after her exit because of all the open questions but I never thought they would do something so bad like this. Him leaving Jo and all his life / friends [MEREDITH] only with a letter ? That has nothing to do with the Alex Karev he had become. It destroys his whole character development. I wanted Izzie back not Alex leave.
3. All scenes Jay disrespects Mitchell and Mitchells sexuality. Yeah you can mention this but sometimes it’s presented as funny and there are many stupid cliches. It’s sad even if it’s only a sitcom.
4. Carlas Dad causing Christians injuries so that he can’t talk about Polos fault. That was too sick.
5. Zoe's relationship with Joel. Not surprising. I kind of liked Joel but what the fuck? There was a love triangle with George why another one?
6. The way Katniss acted in Mockingjay. First of all she was a kid, why the fuck did she think she could make her own thing and kill snow without any plan? And it's written as if she is a war hero and not an abused kid. On the other side I hated how she treated Peeta and she is so self-pity, it's cruel.
Stole the questions from @gelalovesbuddie! Loved it!

Top 10 favorite Grey's Anatomy characters
These aren't ranked but just off the top of my head.
Cristina Yang, as a young girl she was a reminder that women could and should be ambitious and she also made me question the need to have the cookie cutter married with kids life style.
Callie Torres, the moment she hit my screen I couldn't get over how sexy she was. When I finally reeled my crush in I really enjoyed her, she was done wrong by many of characters but I always liked her.
Maggie Pierce. I have no idea why so many people hate her character and maybe after a rewatch I may understand it but I still enjoy Maggie and I've always wanted to see what they do with her.
Lexie Grey, she was a sweetheart and wanted to be a good surgeon and she wanted to be happy and helpful and I'm still sad at the way she went out.
Arizona Robbins, Arizona before the crash was one of my favorite characters on the show. She was bubbly and sweet and her introduction was the reason we finally got some gayness on the show and we watched her go into an awesome new vocation and she was so sweet and those damn Heelys won me over.
Jackson Avery, he was the only I really liked when the hospital merged/takeover and I was happy he lived through the shooting that eradicated all of his other fellow residents. I loved his friendship/mentorship with Mark which carved out a new portion of the hospital. He made a lot of mistakes especially in his love life that I'm not a fan of but I still think overall he's one of the better characters on the show.
Andrew Deluca, he was bilingual, gorgeous, and most of all kind. RIP
Addison Montgomery. I am putting on my blinders and pretending Private Practice isn't a thing and just going to remember her as Grey's character who was complicated but real and I just enjoy her.
Lauren Riley, I know there is almost nothing on her but the little we got was great and my biggest annoyance is that we have gotten NIL since. BRING HER BACK!
Cormac Hayes. I know he was brought in as a potential love interest/eye candy even though he was basically none of those things but I still really liked him. He took over the spot that Karev had been for Meredith and I hate that the other characters BS is the reason he's not there anymore. I would trade him for Owen. I also really appreciated his relationship with Megan and I feel like he and Deluca had so much more to offer.

God tier
On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden - graphic novel/webcomic. Hugely tender story about second chances for the crew of a historical restoration spaceship, and lesbians finding each other across the stars. The negative space in this is so fucking good and every full-page spread punched me in the gut.
Colza - animated short. Farming lizards, aeoroplanes, and gorgeous orchestral score.
When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead - Tiny heartfelt time travel mystery that unfolds among the neighborhood kids in 1970s New York. Well-deserved Newberry Medal winner.
Infinity Train - cartoon. Specifically seasons 2 and 3, worth getting through season 1 for. it's all about the raw emotion baby!!

99% Invisible - podcast. Design and architecture. "No stories about people. Just stories about stuff." — Roman Mars, host.

Burn It Down: Women Writing About Anger ed. Lily Dancyger - the essay by Minda Honey was great, the rest of them were nothing new.
Getting Physical: The Rise of Fitness Culture in America by Shelly Mckenzie - concise and very readable history of how Americans have conflated physical health with moral virtue, starting in the 1950s.
Uncanny Valley by Anna Wiener - critical memoir of author's career in tech startups. Her crippling insecurity and substitution of personal attacks for critical analysis were… not good.
The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel Kolk - neurology of trauma. Pretty technical, more targeted towards practicing clinicians than patients.
NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity by Steve Silberman - history of autism research and perception of autism in America, starting with Kanner.
Vesper Flights by Helen MacDonald - essays on human-animal interactions with GOOD science metaphors.
H is for Hawk by Helen McDonald - full of cool falconry facts in addition to being a memoir about falconry as a quietly feral expression of love and grief.
Loving Mr. Spock by Barbara Jacobs - memoir of author's marriage to an autistic man. Very dated and now reads badly. Quit 2 chapters in.
The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida
Spectrum Women ed. Barb Cook and Michelle Garnett

No Time to Spare by Ursula K Le Guin - essays.
Eating the Ocean by Elspeth Probyn - metaphysical-literary analysis of the relationship between humans and fish. Quit 3 chapters in bc I was expecting more environmental science.
First, Break All the Rules by Gallup - How to be a good manager, boiled down to: don't spend too much time trying to fix people's weaknesses; instead, figure out how to utilize their strengths.
Race after Technology by Ruha Benjamin - how digital automation deepens racial discrimination while appearing benevolent.
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain - good insights into workplace advantages, but is suspiciously lacking in any mention of autism.
Change: How to Make Big Things Happen by Damon Centola - how the structure of relationship networks affects adoption of social change. Good stuff, would recommend.
Aliens in America by Sandra Tsing Loh - essays about growing up in a chinese-german family in LA.
The Madwoman and the Roomba by Sandra Tsing Loh - got maybe half a chapter in and DNF.
The Origin of Others by Toni Morrison - meh. At least it was short.
Where Land and Water Meet: A Western Landscape Transformed by Nancy Langston. Historical analysis of how human perception of water and land has directed wetlands management strategy, using the Malheur Basin as a case study.
The Polyamorists Next Door: Inside Multiple-Partner Relationships and Families by Elisabeth Sheff. Ethnographic study of American polyamorous families with children. Pretty good outline of typical relationship models among the sample population.
They Say/I Say: The Moves That Matter in Academic Writing by Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein. Meh. I think it's targeted more towards beginning writers.
The Lesbian Polyamory Reader by Marcia Munson and Judith Stelboum. Was published in the 90s and contains more 2nd-wave feminist philosophy than practical knowledge. TBH it feels pretty stale now.

Tyrants | Chapter One - Disclosure
A/N: This was supposed to be a Jax x Fem!OC fanfic, but it took a little turn as I started to write more of it. So, it’ll be Tig x Fem!OC, but Jax does play a very important role in this.
SUMMARY: A sick turn of events sees Isla Telford thrown in at the deep end, battling to govern the sudden pressures of all that her father's club decidedly bestow upon her.
WORD COUNT: 2.7k
WARNINGS: Brief mentions of murder, the guy that got his ass shit is in this one. Jax and Tig get their own warnings, too, for obvious reasons.
The older I get, the more I realize that age doesn't bring wisdom. It only brings weary.
John Teller was always so astute.
His judicious character befell his son, too. Jax had that same perceptive nature as his old man--everyone would comment on that.
To Isla, it was admirable. For Jackson Teller to be a man of such stature--to hold such a reputation--and to remain somewhat level-headed through it all, was only something she could commend.
She'd seen many of her father's friends crumble under the pressure of Samcro, unable to balance the weight of living with the responsibility and commitment to the club, and meet their unfortunate demise--in some not-so extreme cases.
But Jax was different. He'd always been different.
Maybe that wasn't so great, however.
"You're fucking insane, Isla."
"Not insane." She mumbled, sifting through the box of shitty medical supplies that Gemma had left atop the pool table last night.
"Just trying to patch this shit up so Hayes doesn't kick the fucking bucket before Jax gets back here."
Tig snarled. "But it might be infected, and the bullet is still in this dude's ass--"
Isla whipped her head to glare at the man, her eyes wide, forehead slick with sweat--and a little blood, too.
"Shut the fuck up."
"Isla--"
"Tig, with all due respect, unless you're gonna help, please get the fuck outta here."
"That's not gonna suffice," he pointed out, referring to the medical tape, ignoring her scolding.
She wanted to throttle him. Truly, Isla was willing to wrap her crimson-coated fingertips around Tig's neck and squeeze the absolute life out of that man.
"I know." Her lips kneaded together in frustration, watching her father dab an alcohol-infused pad on the wound. "But unless you've got any better ideas, then we're just gonna have to keep reapplying this shit."
"But the infection, Isla."
"But the lack of medical equipment, Tig."
He slapped his palm against the table and glared at her, pointedly. "Why've you gotta be such a bitch all the time, huh?"
"Watch it, Trager." Piqued, Chibs growled.
"I'm not a bitch all the time," she dismissed her father, wiping at her palm with a wet rag. "I'm actually able to control the way I act around other people."
"Oh, fuck you--"
"Christ!"
The Scot's yell was muffled by the cap of his whiskey bottle, his hand pressing against Cameron's skin as the man screamed into the cloth Isla had placed underneath his head.
"God, for fucks sake, both of you just pack it in."
"Chibs--"
"Shut the fuck up. You're a fucking geriatric and you're spending your morning bickering with an almost thirty-year-old. Grow up, Tig."
Despite laughing at his comment, and enjoying the irritation wash over the other man's face, she felt bad.
For riling her father up--who was simply trying to help the innocent Irishman caught in the literal crossfire--she felt fucking awful. Especially because he never seemed to get mad at her all too often.
Tig, though...That was a different story entirely.
"I'm gonna go see if Clay has any more shit lying 'round here." She declared, throwing a damp towel onto the table, backing out of the room.
Her heart was in her throat, stomach in damn knots. Isla wasn't confident that Cameron was going to make it--not with such a deep wound.
And in his ass, too? Jesus. She wasn't confident at all.
Of course, she'd seen men get shot. Her own father, for one. But she hadn't seen somebody have to go so long without actual medical attention.
Chibs was ex-army med, but there was only so much a man could've done with a bottle of liquor, gauze, and a towel.
She was relieved that the bullet hit Cameron and not Clay, though. As sick as it sounded, she was so fucking glad that he'd managed to dodge the line of fire--initially intended for his own skull--and come out completely unscathed.
But for every ounce of relief she'd felt, an even more fervid sense of anger prevailed at the thought of Jax taking so damn long with those medical supplies he'd sought to get last night.
Gemma mentioned something about heading to the hospital--or a friend's house, or something--but Isla wasn't paying any mind to the woman as she, and Chibs, were trying all ways to stop the bleeding coming from Cameron's ass cheek.
It was the most bizarre turn of events she'd ever experienced.
One minute, Isla was sipping on a glass of wine while she eagerly awaited the spirited ping of her tiny microwave oven, ready to spend a rare--though well fucking deserved--night alone.
However, things took a drastic turn when she received a call from Tig--on behalf of a very busy Chibs--casually requesting her assistance because the Mayans had tried to assassinate Clay.
But Tig failed to mention that the man was completely fine.
She'd spent fifteen minutes on the way over mentally preparing herself, wondering what hell she'd walk into when she set foot into the clubhouse. But it was normal--strangely so.
Isla wasn't a professional, she didn't exactly know how to handle such a trauma, but she trusted her father and she just wanted to make sure he had a helping hand.
God knows that Tig wouldn't have been very much use, and Juice was a little nervous--though, he was doing incredibly well throughout the ordeal regardless of his internal apprehension.
"How's it looking?" Gemma threw at Isla, getting to her feet.
"Bloody."
She quickly scanned the room, taking in the uncomfortably sparse bar. It wasn't usually so empty, so quiet.
Clay, Gemma, and Juice. That was it. Not even Piney--not even Epps.
"Is he doing okay?"
It was still early in the day, though. She guessed that they'd pop in once they properly came around.
"He's better than he was last night." The brunette nodded. "Dad is certain the laceration is gonna get infected if we leave it any longer without trying to get the bullet out--"
"You've gotta wait 'til Jax gets back here, Isla, we can't risk Hayes dying on us."
"I know, Clay. He's just fucking tired--he's been up all night. We need a real medic on the scene before something bad happens. It's only a matter of time."
He mumbled something to himself that only Gemma seemed to catch, but Isla didn't particularly give a damn at that point. Like Chibs, she was exhausted.
The tattered and torn plaid shirt she had thrown over a random tank top--now smeared with another man's blood--was wrenched between her fingers as she pulled it off, folding it not-so-neatly.
She hadn't dealt with such a bloody wound in a while. Not since her mother's palm, decorated with shards of glass, was in dire need of stitches and her father was across the country, unable to offer his medical assistance.
"I'll grab one of Jax's shirts for you--"
"No, Gemma, it's okay," she smiled, taking a seat on one of the couches opposite her.
The older woman pinched her eyebrows together skeptically, watching Isla shift. "I insist."
"It's fine." Isla was adamant. "I'm gonna head home as soon as Jax gets back here--if he gets back here--so, really, it's fine."
A minimal amount of already dried blood was spread over her wrists and fingers, and the excess had been rubbed off on her crimson flannel, so she didn't particularly feel bad about making any mess.
Though, she shouldn't have felt bad. Not after she'd been coerced into helping and eventually receiving that shitty reception from Tig.
"Aren't you cold?" She questioned, waiting for Isla to capitulate, but she never did.
The thought of wearing one of Jax's shirts--after it being given to her by his fucking mother--didn't sit right with her for some reason. Plus, she didn't particularly feel like walking out of that building wearing the damn reaper on her back.
She didn't want to flaunt their patch. Not any more than she already had been for the last ten years.
"Where the fuck is he?"
Clay glared at the clock on the wall, realizing they'd been without the Vice President for hours. In an attempt to put him at ease, Gemma ran a hand along his shoulder.
Isla could only watch them--admire, perhaps.
"He told us he was gonna swing by Tara's place for the equipment. But that was last night, man." Juice shrugged, circling the lip of his beer bottle with his thumb.
She felt her throat thicken with a sick sense of trepidation. She hadn't heard that name in years.
"Tara?" She stuttered, feeling Gemma's piercing glare.
The woman hated Jax's first love, though she never said it aloud. Isla knew her perception of her, however, and she'd started to feel the exact same as the years went on.
Bitch.
"Yeah, y'know, Tara Knowles--"
Her heart sank--fuck that, it dove straight to the deep caverns of her chest, throbbing away into nothing. Until she felt completely void of all emotion. Completely fucking numb.
"I know her, Juice." Her response came hastily, snappy. "I'm sorry. I just didn't expect you to say that."
He shrugged it off. "It's alright. I wasn't expecting her to be back in town, either. I thought you already knew."
Suddenly uncomfortable, Isla's head shook.
The crow situated at the bottom of her spine began to smolder, blistering away at her skin until she physically flinched.
It was a brilliant idea at the time, getting a matching tattoo with Jax's old lady--the one woman she truly adored and trusted, never once feeling an ounce of malice toward.
Because that was a rare thing for Isla, and she wanted their friendship--and relation to Samcro--to prevail for eternity, she supposed.
But as time went on and Tara decided to distance, and eventually alienate, herself from the club, an ample sense of regret persisted for fucking months.
Isla loathed her ink. She hated the negative connotation of the crow she once lauded, and the mere idea of that thing being slapped above her ass forever churned her stomach.
It wasn't one of her finest moments, she had to admit. But she was young and extremely fucking dumb. She'd bet top dollar that Tara felt the same--if she hadn't gotten the crow covered up already.
"Jesus, Jax, where were you?!"
Her eyes flicked upward, attention on the blonde as he sauntered across the wooden floor of the bar.
She hadn't even noticed his presence until Clay spoke, but she soon started to heed how Jax was trembling a bit with every step that he took.
It wasn't obvious. To most people, the slight shake of his wrist would've gone completely unnoticed. But to Isla--to the most observant woman in Charming--his discomfort was striking.
Jax ignored him, stomping his way toward the back room. His line of sight never satisfied Isla's. It didn't even come close to it, either.
Something had happened. It was obvious that, in the time he had been with Tara, he'd encountered something grizzly enough to chill him to the bone.
Which was saying something, what with the horrific shit that he'd already seen in his time.
"Jax!" Clay yelled, following closely behind him. "Hey, asshole, where the fuck did you put the bag--"
"I've got it."
If she had the option, Isla would've allowed the floor to swallow her fucking whole.
"Tara." Pissed, Gemma acknowledged. "You're here because?"
"I asked her to help, mom."
"But Chibs had it covered. He just needed some actual instruments--"
"Gemma, quit it."
She simply nodded at her son, not wanting to cause another problem that she'd have to fix later--which, honestly, Isla was shocked to see.
"He's in there--"
"I know." Jax cut her short, ushering Tara to the back of the clubhouse--striving to get her into the room before she heeded Isla.
But she did.
The first person she clocked--aside from Clay--was Isla Telford, the woman she had purposely alienated herself from ten fucking years ago.
It wasn't anything that she'd particularly done to Tara, more like the crowd she ran with--and the way her loyalties never seemed to lay very closely to her friends, or anything outside of the club.
Isla wasn't a part of Samcro--she didn't want to be a part of Samcro--but her coalition was strong enough to convince anybody that she was more than merely a daughter of a Sgt. at Arms.
She had been brought up around the Sons--her father's choice, of course--and when her mother passed, she had no choice but to dive a little bit deeper into that world. But, as expected, it was constantly under the watchful eye of her old man.
She was dedicated to them. They were, essentially, family, and she was an honorary member.
"Isla." Jax mumbled, nodding his head toward the entrance of the clubhouse as he closed the back-door. "Outside."
He pulled a carton of cigarettes out of his leather vest, shaking the box as he strived to seem a little less suspicious to Clay and his mother.
The blonde wobbled to her feet--knees weak after hours of standing--while simultaneously pulling her bloodied flannel back onto svelte, freckled arms, recognizing that the chill was to hit her the second she stepped onto the gravel.
Jax was casual while he strutted ahead, taking long strides that Isla found fucking impossible to keep up with.
He pushed the door to close behind her, offering a cigarette that she hastily declined.
"What's she doing here?" Was how she decided to break the silence, her eyes searching for a hint of something written on his face.
But there was nothing. Not an ounce of emotion--scarily so.
"She's fixing Cameron up--"
"Not at the clubhouse, Jax. I meant back in Charming."
He ran a thumb across his lower lip, trying to soften his gaze on Isla, but it was futile. He looked discomposed--unsettled.
"She's uh--she's workin' at the hospital now." She started to nod, waiting for his elaboration. It never came, however.
"Oh, that's nice. I wonder what happened in Chicago...Do you know why she's back here? Or how long she's gonna be staying in town--"
"You sound like my fucking mother--give it a break with the thirty-seven questions about Tara, damnit."
He snarled, heeding the distaste of his words the second she glowered at him.
"Excuse you?"
"I didn't call you out here for a sweet little conversation, Isla, I called you 'cause I need your help--"
"With what?"
Jax's hand hooked onto the back of his neck while he tilted his head to look upward, thinking of a way--any fucking way--to explain just what damn mess he'd found himself entwined with over the course of the last twenty-four hours.
He didn't know what to say or how to say it--if he should've fucking said it. He trusted Isla with his life--always had--but sometimes he appreciated that she mightn't have appreciated finding herself tangled within Jax's boisterous, at times frightening, life.
But it was too late for that. She'd been dragged through the deepest shit and wasn't crumbling that easily.
"Jax--"
"Kohn." He stated simply, waiting for the cogs of her brain to begin turning.
"What about him? You got in trouble with the ATF or something? Because we can handle that--"
"I already did." Jax laughed humorlessly, finally meeting Isla's line of sight.
The skin underneath his eyes was red raw, blotchy and irritated after he had used the sleeve of his hoodie to scrub away the tears he'd shed.
The tears he hadn't wanted to shed, but had fallen freely--uncontrollably--from those cerulean hues Isla never tired of looking at.
"What do you mean by that?" Nervously, she quizzed.
He didn't even have to say anything. She fucking knew. She knew exactly what he meant by that, but there was a tiny morsel of something within her that hoped and prayed that he'd declare that her gut feeling was wrong.
But he couldn't. Because it was right. Like always, Isla's intuition didn't fail her.
"Jax, honey, what did you do--"
"I killed Kohn."

don't you think it's weird that Mer doesn't text Alex? she lives exchanging messages with Cristina. and another she hasn't talked to Jo since season 16 is weird,
I don't think it's weird that Meredith doesn't text Alex. That’s my opinion though. I mean the way that Alex left vs. the way Cristina left were very different. When Cristina left she and Meredith parted on good terms. They said goodbye in person and dance it out before she left. They vowed to keep in touch and continue being friends despite the fact that Cristina was leaving.
Alex on the other hand pretty much left without a word and stop taking everyone's calls and texts including Meredith’s. He only told her where he was at and what was going on via a letter. He dropped everybody in Seattle like a hot potato. He left and never looked back. I'm sure that Meredith is just as hurt as Jo is and she has every right to be.
Her best friend in the whole world, her person, left her without a word and didn't give her the decency to even call her or even tell her in person. Although Meredith understood the reason why he left, she also left without a word after Derek died. However, her husband died and she came back. Alex became a dad and he was experiencing the joys of parenthood, not the devastating loss of his soulmate. He didn't feel the need to share that joy with his best friend. I can understand why Meredith is hurt and isn't in contact with Alex.
As for Jo and Meredith, I'm not sure why they haven’t had any scenes together. Meredith was still in a coma for almost the entirety of season 17. Also during that season and this season, everybody has their own covid pods and certain actors wouldn't interact. So Jo pretty much only interacted with Levi, Helm, Link, and Jackson in season 17 and it looks like they’re going to keep that. Meredith is in Montana this season and we’ve only had two episodes. She hasn't interacted with anyone other than Bailey and Hayes over the phone, and Amelia in person because she was there, so I’m sure she’ll interact with others once she gets back to Grey-Slone.
I love their friendship and mentorship so I’m really hoping that Meredith and Jo get a lot more screen time, even though Jo has was switched specialties. Especially with Addison coming back and Meredith knowing Addison. I'm hoping that Jo will try and convince Meredith to let her in the case or something.

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 17X8
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
I freakin’ loved this episode! It was so so good! Which surprised me considering what they focused on. Based on the promo I knew that this would be DeLuca’s goodbye episode and so I expected to like the other parts of the episode we were shown in the promo such as Hayes talking to Meredith at her bedside, Richard’s storyline, and Derek’s return. However, I was not expecting to enjoy any part of DeLuca’s farewell storyline and I was pleasantly surprised. I think that’s because they focused on the effects of grief and guilt and how everyone processes those emotions differently.
It was a really interesting character study on how each person feels a loss in their own way. Despite not liking the character I actually found DeLuca’s memorial service quite moving. I think it was because they found a creative way to do it and because funerals in the real world like we normally do aren't possible right now. My grandfather died last summer and while he didn’t want a funeral my family and I weren’t able to get together to mourn his loss as we usually would and that’s been hard.
I wasn’t particularly close with my grandfather, but the loss of traditional grieving rituals in this time of COVID-19 has been frustrating. I liked that they found a creative way to have the characters mourn the loss of a fellow staff member. I expected to see Carina more, but as I understand it her storyline played out more on Station 19 which makes sense. I felt like they did a good job of showing the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance) and how everyone experiences them differently.
Teddy and Owen displayed survivors' guilt and frustration that they did everything right and he still died. At the end we see Teddy in a catatonic state and it made me think that she might be sick with COVID herself or that there was something else wrong. While I've never been a Teddy and Owen shipper I did like the moment at the end where Owen noticed something was wrong and came over to her and told her that he would take her home and when she didn't respond he picked her up and carried her.
It reminded me of the Season 2 episode where Denny dies and Izzie refuses to leave his side so Alex picks her up and carries her over to a chair in her prom dress. Very different relationships, but a nice parallel in my opinion. This episode had a lot of those. Teddy seeing DeLuca in other people’s faces was freaky! I have to say that guy is way more interesting as a ghost then he ever was alive.
I totally got Helm's reaction. I understand why she said and thought those horrible things about DeLuca. He was an ass for a really long time. I probably would have done the same thing myself, but that doesn't mean she wanted him dead. I thought what Maggie did for her was wonderful. My heart broke for Schmitt when he described his emotions. Richard was angry and Bailey went overboard trying to figure out what happened. Everyone's experience of a loss is different and I like that they showed that.
I’m glad that Richard told Bailey what she needed to hear. It was painful, but in trying to find an answer or a reason for what happened she was unintentionally hurting the people around her who were suffering too. The strength of Richard and Bailey's relationship is that they can tell each other the truth when no one else can or will. I loved his monologue to Catherine about trying to find a meaning in the puzzle of life and questioning his faith which is such a big part of his sobriety. James Pickens Jr. did a beautiful job in that scene.
Say what you want about Catherine, but I loved her response. Richard was trying to find meaning in the meaningless and in response she shared with him that her latest scans showed that the cancer hadn’t grown. Logically it should have, but it didn’t. Sometimes there are miracles and sometimes there are senseless deaths. Life is a puzzle. We don’t always understand it. That was exactly what Richard needed to hear in that moment.
On a more upbeat note, I loved the beach scenes this week! They were perfect! They were everything I dreamed of for my favourite characters and more! We got to see Derek and Meredith get closer and talk about the kids. When Meredith is heartbroken that Derek never got to meet Ellis or to know her he tells her all of these wonderful things about her. How she’s just like Meredith and makes it clear that he’s watching over them always.
He talks about Zola and how she writes to him in her journal and how Meredith taught her to ride a bike. I teared up! I've been waiting for them to discuss the kids and here it is! Hearing Derek talk about Ellis and knowing that he watches over Meredith and the kids was so emotional for me. I loved hearing him describe who she is and getting to learn more about her. I'm glad he encouraged her to go back. As much as Derek and Meredith miss each other she's needed back in the land of the living.
Her kids need her and so does everyone else. I loved Derek's gentle teasing. His facial expressions. And then there are her scenes with Hayes! God they were perfect! I've been waiting for this! I loved how Meredith kept joyfully asking him what he did to make Ellis smile so wide and laugh so loudly. She knows he can't hear her yet there she is dying to know what he said or did. The sound of her voice when she said that was everything for me. They already feel like a couple. So much in sync.
I love that Derek, who was shown to be extremely jealous in life, encouraged her to hear Hayes out. I really felt like he was giving her his blessing and the fact that they established that Hayes has met the kids virtually and they know who he is sealed the deal for me. Hayes has now received Cristina’s approval, Derek’s blessing, and is shown to have positive relationships with Meredith’s friends and family in Seattle. I loved that Hayes told Meredith to fight and talked about how her kids were doing and how everyone needs her.
I loved that he came and sat at her bedside and begged her to fight and not give up and that he talked to her even though he wasn’t sure if she could hear him. I love that he sat with her through the virtual memorial even though he wasn’t close to DeLuca and didn’t like him. The cheerful greeting and familiarity with which he greets Amelia and Zola and the stories he tells Meredith indicates that he’s been having regular video chats with Amelia, Maggie, Link, and the kids and that he’s chosen to stay by Meredith’s side when he just as easily could have left while she was on a call with her kids.
It will also make the transition easier when do start dating because the kids will already know him. The music in this episode was really beautiful. Especially the songs that played during the beach scenes. I really enjoyed the drunken Link, Jo, and Jackson scene. I felt it brought much needed levity and humour to the episode the same way the beer scene with Jackson, Link, and Winston did in the previous episode. Their scenes were funny and raw and provided a good balance for the episode.
I also loved seeing more of Jo and Jackson's friends with benefits relationship and more of Jo and Link and Jackson and Link's friendship. I'd actually forgotten that Jackson and Link were friends so it was cool to see that dynamic again and that Link is supportive of their situation. The drinking game to me felt like a throwback to the Season 2 episode where Meredith and Cristina are at Joe’s Bar playing a game of whose life sucks the most and she tells them that Derek is married and Cristina tells her she’s pregnant. These revelations eventual lead to Cristina scheduling an abortion and declaring Meredith her person.
It was cool to see Maggie and Winston working together at Grey Sloan Memorial. Winston living in Boston was only going to go on for so long because as we've all found out this past year there's only so much you can do virtually. I knew he'd be moving to Seattle at some point and I'm glad to see him working at the hospital and hanging with Maggie's family. The scene where he danced it out with the kids was too cute! I'll be interested to see more of their dynamic moving forward as Maggie used to be his teacher and is now his boss. I'm also glad that both Winston and Hayes are finally getting the proper screen time they deserve.
Their storyline with the naked guy cracked me up! My two favourite lines of the episode were when the guy freaked out because he realized he wasn’t wearing his mask and Maggie said, “You’re not wearing much of anything.” And when Maggie and Winston went looking for him and Zander Perez, the resident from Pac North, told them, “If you’re looking for a naked guy he went that way.” I laughed so hard!
The scenes with Zola got me. She is a real trouper. She definitely is Meredith Grey's daughter through and through. I'm a big believer in found family and one of the things Grey's does really is show that there are many different ways to be a family and that family is what you make of it. True family is made up of the people who love and support you unconditionally not genetics. I really love that they've shown the strength of that bond between Zola and her family.
My favourite hidden moment of the episode was Tom! He appears in the background at DeLuca's memorial which means he's getting better. If he's well enough to be outside at the memorial then his condition has greatly improved since last we saw and that's great! Tom's a wonderfully complex character and I'm glad he's doing better. He appears in a bunch of deleted scenes that were released through the Grey’s Anatomy Twitter account which I highly recommend. The writing in this episode was excellent!
This episode was written by Adrian Wenner whose previous credits include the Season 16 episode ‘A Hard Pill to Swallow’ in which Meredith and Hayes work that vaping case together and get to know each for the first time. Honestly, my only complaint about this episode is that I wish they’d done it sooner! I wish they had bumped this and the previous episode up. The Mid-Season Finale felt very anti-climatic to me and was poorly received by a lot of fans. I wish they had just scrapped that episode or combined it with what we saw in the Mid-Season Premiere and then jumped into this episode after the break. But we’re here now and that’s the important thing.
Onto next week’s promo. Damn does it look interesting! We see that Owen has brought Teddy home and she’s not eating or speaking and hes worried if her condition does not improve he’ll have to admit her. I’m sure he’s having flashbacks to when Cristina did the same thing after the plane crash. She appears to be experiencing some kind of nightmare sequence where she sees DeLuca as a ghost and Meredith speaks to her. Looks intense!
Until next time!

Another interesting article from the Irish DM.
THE WOMAN WHO FINALLY TAMED POLDARK
By Maeve Quigley
Heartthrob Aidan Turner has a track record of dating co-stars and it seems like he’s finally found his leading lady as it’s revealed he and Caitlin Fitzgerald have tied the knot
THEY were the pictures that broke the hearts of thousands of fans — the dark-haired actor affectionately smooching his new wife on the romantic streets of Rome, as their wedding rings flashed in the warm Italian dusk. After three years of dating, Aidan Turner tied the knot with fellow thespian Caitlin Fitzgerald in a secret ceremony in the Italian capital last summer, although news of the nuptials has just broken.
The pair met on the set of adventure film The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot and it seems — despite Turner’s previous protestations that he would never date another actress — they couldn’t help falling for each other.
Pictures taken on August 8 show the newlyweds days after tying the knot as they flashed their gold bands while enjoying a romantic al fresco dinner date at Pierluigi’s restaurant in Rome.
In the newly-released images, the loved-up pair seem unable to keep their hands off each other as they sip their drinks, holding on to one another as they gaze into each other’s eyes.
It is believed Fitzgerald also came to Ireland before the pandemic to meet Turner’s extended family — possibly ahead of their big day. Of course, she’s not the first woman with beauty and talent to be seen on the arm of the dashing Dubliner.
But at 37, the man whose shirtless scything in BBC drama Poldark had women everywhere a-quiver is now officially off the market.
Turner was born in Clondalkin, the son of Eileen, an accountant, and Pat, an electrician. He is the youngest of two boys; his brother works for the Revenue.
The family later moved to Walkinstown where growing up he was quite shy so his mum sent him to ballroom dancing classes as she felt it would help him no matter what career he chose. He became quite the champion and could possibly have been headed for an international career before he got bitten by the acting bug when he attended the Gaiety School of Acting, where he dated classmate India Whisker for a short time.
Even then, Turner’s dashing good looks were getting him noticed off stage.
To supplement his acting career, he got a job as a barman in famous Dublin nightclub Lillie’s Bordello, where he proved to be a big hit with the VIP guests
‘Women would come in just to stare at him,’ said former hostess now wellness guru and television presenter Andrea Hayes, who gave the acting student his position behind the bar. ‘I’m not joking.’
His first big acting break came when he landed the part of receptionist Ruairi MacGowan in RTE’s long-running medical drama The Clinic, taking the seat left vacant by another major success story, Chris O’Dowd, who also played a medical administrator on the show.
Around this time he was dating Charlene McKenna. The thenaspiring acting stars were together from 2007 to 2009 and shared a flat together in London before their relationship ended just weeks after McKenna had said in an interview how happy she was.
McKenna has recently got married in secret herself, to actor Adam Rothenburg, with whom she starred in Ripper Street, although she has said she still has a friendship with Turner.
‘He’s flying and I’m so proud of him,’ she said of Turner in a 2016 interview. ‘We still keep in touch and I knew he would do this well for himself. I always told him he would be a movie star.’
While they lived together, Turner landed his breakthrough role as tortured vampire Mitchell in the BBC Three hit Being Human.
Mitchell was torn between his blood lust and doing the right thing and was keen on leather trousers and coats, allowing Turner to smoulder on screen for the first but certainly not the last time.
He managed to gain a cult following from the role — as well as a new girlfriend in the form of his co-star Lenora Critchlow who played a ghost to Turner’s vampire.
When their relationship ended, Turner also chose to quit his role on the show.
But it was Being Human that got him his role in The Hobbit after director Peter Jackson saw him in the show and was struck by his elfin features. He never made it to the elves though, instead playing a dwarf.
And as his star ascended, he began dating another actress, this time Cork-born Sarah Greene. They had been friends for a few years after meeting on the set of Titus Andronicus, directed by Selina Cartmell at Dublin’s Project Arts Centre; but love didn’t blossom until much later.
‘I played Demetrius, her character wasn’t a named character but we met on that,’ Turner said in a magazine interview. ‘It was all very platonic and we never hooked up or anything, but that’s how we got to know each other. Then years later we just met again and it just sort of took off.’
Turner and Greene became the golden couple of the Irish drama scene, both with careers on the rise. They were together when he landed the role of Ross Poldark in the BBC revival of the Cornish drama that became a huge international success.
The fame that came with the role was difficult for both to handle as Turner is not a fan of being seen as a celebrity while Greene hated people taking photographs of her boyfriend while they went about their daily business.
Though then happy in his relationship with Greene, Turner admitted that he had been heartbroken in the past and it was something he was able to channel into his role as the brooding Ross Poldark, a man torn between two women.
‘I don’t know anyone on this planet who hasn’t had their heart broken,’ he told the Radio Times. ‘It’s happened to me. Love is love it’s the purest and rawest thing we have in life.’
As their careers progressed, the couple spent more time apart as Turner was in New Zealand with The Hobbit while Greene was working on projects like Vikings closer to home. But he insisted the distance wasn’t a problem.
‘You meet someone, you fall in love, then you can only see them over Skype or phone calls or texts and emails. And you have this whole other side to your relationship and it’s... it was fun,’ he said in a 2015 interview. He added: ‘We knew we really wanted to be together. And knew if we could do that, we could tackle a lot more. It was never: God, this is hard, bloody hell, we need to review this. This sucks. We never questioned it; it was great. So we had that from the beginning...’
But as the Poldark mania went into overdrive, so did the rumour mill and there were false reports of an engagement and even a secret wedding between himself and Greene. In actual fact the opposite was the case, with the relationship ending in 2015, five years after it started.
Turner then seemed to swear off dating those in the same business, despite his track record. In a press conference for the fourth series of Poldark, he said dating in acting circles meant you could never get away from work, admitting: ‘If you’re in my business and you find somebody who does exactly what you do and you’re living with them, then you’re in the business all the time.
‘You go home, talk about casting directors, you talk about the press, you talk about the next job you’re doing — it can become quite dull and taxing,’ he added.
So instead he was linked to a mystery law graduate, an advertising executive and then the artist Nettie Wakefield, who he dated for around a year before their hectic schedules drove them apart in what was described as an amicable split.
But obviously when he met the stunning blonde Irish-American, Caitlin Fitzgerald, 38, on a film set three years ago, Turner’s new rules went out the window, so bowled over was he by the beauty and talent of his co-star. By the time the film was premiered, the pair already looked smitten, posing on the red carpet together.
Fitzgerald appeared at a concert with Michael Sheen, with whom she starred in Masters of Sex but was seeing Turner at that time and like him, is an intensely private person.
Despite his fame and the stir his bare-chested scything caused, Turner has never been one to chase the celebrity lifestyle — perhaps because of those nights he spent observing celebrities while working behind the bar in Lillie’s.
‘If I allowed myself to let it change my life, it could,’ he has said in the past of his fame. ‘Where there’s celebrity, it’s easy to slip into that — being followed in nightclubs, or dating famous people or getting adverts. I’m just not interested in that stuff.
‘I want to do good work with good actors and filmmakers, read interesting scripts. I didn’t get into this business for celebrity. I did it for my love of film and stories and theatre.’
So although it has now been widely reported that he and Fitzgerald tied the knot in front of his parents Eileen and Pat, neither of them are likely to confirm their nuptials at any stage in the near future.
In fact, the only kissing Turner is likely to talk about is for his role in the film Leonardo, which explores the life and sexuality of Leonardo Da Vinci. In the film we will see Turner as the renaissance artist in a passionate clinch with another man as it explores Da Vinci’s sexuality and his rumoured affair with his apprentice Gian Giacomo Caprotti, better known by his nickname Salai. It is for his art that Turner intends to keep us all guessing as he’d rather we were interested in his roles than his romances.
‘It’s important to me that people don’t know too much about me because I’m trying to play characters,’ he has said in the past
‘Sometimes you see actors who are really good, but you have trouble separating that actor from the celebrity profile.
‘I don’t want to be one of those guys. It helps that people don’t know a lot about me, I guess.’

ok so anon sent me a rant that i asked for and I want to answer it but under a cut so we don’t have to spam the dash.
Click under the read more if you want to read me and anon’s rant on grey’s anatomy s17 finale
anon said: “Magston... what the hell lmao. They literally had a whole plot in 1716 about postponing their wedding so they could do it right (with family) and then winston was getting all mad about it and thought maggie was backing out (even though its a pandemic and theyve only been engaged for like what? 3 months tops). Then they flew their older parent/grandparent out (in the middle of a pandemic and severely affects old people), only to have them object to the wedding at the ceremony and then they postpone anyways???? What???? They couldnt have done that over the phone lmao like I liked the idea of magston a lot in s16 but their arc this season made me hate them so much lol. Sometimes I think theyre less developed than schmico (like which writer decided to marry them this season ????? Fireable offence imo considering they have no previous relationship history Im pretty sure and Im pretty sure they were only dating/engaged for like a year???? Even if the show was ending a moving in together/dating/engagment endgame would have worked for them? Anyways).”
First of all: what the fuck is grey’s obsession with marriage?????
It might just be me, but take it from someone who worked in the wedding industry for 3 years, and lemme tell you: weddings are fun, beautiful, amazing, but they’re also hella for the privileged. YOU KNOW IT CAN COST UP TO $700 CAD TO HIRE AN OFFICIANT??? So the job Richard had? He could’ve made an easy few hundies.
I really hate how fucking fake and badly acted that scene was when Maggie’s dad and Winston’s grandma objected to the marriage. Why did they wait until then and EMBARRASS both of them???? Like you said, what the hell was the point of last episode’s whole debacle???? They could’ve just not done that plot in ep 16 and had them get married anyway in ep 17 and had someone object to their marriage.
Can’t believe Maggie flew two old people around the country during a goddamn pandemic. How irresponsible is it???? Again, I don’t know if it’s because they’re just way more relaxed in the states than where I’m from but wth....
anon said: Okay and then amelink. I LOVED how amelia was written this episode, but in the context of the time jump it was kind of weird? Like amelia was feeling this way about marriage/more kids for 8-9 months and never even hinted to link that she wasnt interested? And I like to think link respects amelia a lot, so why didnt he bring up marriage again before proposing? Or ask mer/maggie what they thought about him proposing? I can understand her not talking to link about her concerns but I find it hard to believe she didnt bring it up with mer/maggie once in that time frame? Idk it was just rushed and weird. And amelia clearly wasnt okay with the fostering thing and he still went with it anyways lol.
I can’t remember and I don’t care enough to go watch the ep, but did Amelia and Link move out of Mer’s house?
The only good thing about this episode was Amelia, especially her conversation with Richard (in that not very Seattle courtyard rofl HONESTLY GREY’S PUT SOME EFFORT IN YOUR SETS. YOU KNOW YOUR ENTIRE SHOW IS SET IN SEATTLE RIGHT/???? LIKE MAKE IT RAIN IN THAT COURTYARD TO REFLECT HOW AMELIA FEELS IDK GAWD)
I also can’t believe Amelia would just be like, welp! I guess I’m a double mom now of my own child and this random crotch child that my baby daddy promised to his best friend. And oh ya, I don’t want anymore children but shhh its a secert.
I mean, I know Amelia technically fostered before but ............. (i’ll continue this in the next segment)
anon said: And the fostering thing... Jo’s plot was weird this ep too lmao. Like maybe Im just dumb but they never explained why she failed her background check? Idk this plot would have been a much better season long arc than a one episode arc lol. Although I think the single parent thing might be fun next season (the weird jo/levi friendship will be worth it if we get schmico babysitting)
They didn’t really explain why she failed her bg check. I also don’t know how money can fix her failed background check.
Also how fucking shady is it that Link and Amelia fostered a child? Wouldn’t the foster people want to give a child to a stable family who, let’s think, ARE MARRIED and HAVE A HOME OF THEIR OWN?
Who’s the dumbass in the writer’s room that thought of this ludicrous convenient solution for Jo? Only people with that much money and power can steal children.
I really thought Jo’s fight for Luna should’ve started earlier and when it didn’t start, I thought it would bleed into next season. It’s not easy to adopt a child.
anon said: Also is our last jackson appearance on this show really a random facetime with jo? Would have much rather had a face maggie to congratulate her on her marriage (why wasnt he there???)
Maggie’s kind of his step sister or whatever the f they are. Jackson could’ve taken a break from solving racism to attend his family member’s wedding, right?
anon said: Okay and then the interns... we never actually saw mer teaching them? Im hoping that theres a bigger intern/resident focus next season because of mers new job but now Im not optimistic haha. And why are the residents and interns grouped together? And why was levi so involved with mer’s patient that he wasnt pulled from the wedding to help???????? Its a double lung transplant get the upper year resident in there PLEASE!!! Or at least let him take over the surgery when mer passed out. Cristina would have been doing this shit in her intern year. I assure you he would much rather be at the surgery than the wedding of someone he has never interacted with. And Surely that surgery would have been better if more than 2 surgeons were working on it?????? my ONLY hope is that the time jump means we’re getting helm and levi aged up to 5th years and we get some chief resident/specialization/boards plots for them next year.
i hate grey’s and their ridiculous time jumps and blatant disregard to HOW THIS WILL AFFECT THE CAREERS OF THEIR RESIDENTS.
I bet, like Teddy’s child, Levi and Helm are gonna be residents for 10 years and never choose a speciality. I want to revoke grey’s rights to call themselves a medical drama. There’s nothing medical about this show.
JUST WATCH MER TOUCH A DIRTY ASS BASIN AND THEN TOUCH A WHOLE HUMAN LUNG WITH THE SAME HANDS
YOU KNOW HOW DIRTY THAT BASIN IS SITTING ON WHATEVER THE FUCK IT WAS SITTING ON??? GET A NURSE TO HOLD THE BASIN. YOUR HANDS ARE STERILE
(Okay, I’m also sure the basin would be sterile but I can’t. I can’t believe in real life, they’d have the same hands hold a basin and a human organ. Someone who’s a doctor or works in the OR, tell me if I’m right. I need to know. )
Also, Bailey taking off her mask when she’s hugging Mer after the surgery. Right TO JAIL!
anon said: And finally... not half of maggies wedding guests ditching the wedding to go stand in a hallway and clap for mer LMAO like they couldnt have done that the next day??? Like I said before, most of this episode was comedy lol.
it’s COVID. Why are people going into the hospital unnecessarily??????
Yes, but you’re right. I gotta watch these eps like it’s a comedy or I’ll LOSE MY FACKING MIND
anon said: Redeeming parts of this episode: merhayes still has potential, need them to stop having the same scene over and over again though. Nico ily and alex get that cheque for sitting there, dancing, and clapping for ellen. Jo selling her shares to koracick... lmao. Bokhee and the other nurse getting their vaccines :’)
LOL @ merhayes having the same interaction. I was telling some people that I’d love for Hayes and Owen to have some scenes and for Hayes to kick Owen’s ass. Because like @schmico-ing said, Owen is a child collector and Hayes would absolutely fucking hate him.
YES ALEX LANDI GETTIN’ THAT DOUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH. What an amazing job. I hope he gets paid in the 6 figures for his time at grey’s.
I don’t know how I feel about Koracick. I love caring Koracick. I hate asshole Koracick. I feel like they’re two different people.
BOHKEE <3
Anyways, love your rants. I look forward to them when s18 starts or even whenever you have the odd urge to rant!
#i would go more in depth but it's been almost a week and the process of purging my mind of grey's has already begun#grey's anatomy#gk asks
