Regards to crownys race, I really like how they don't feel white (to me) when interacting with the trio, especially bc everything in relation to whiteness is mentioned by Lorcan about him and by him, which gives the vibe of the other 3 being people of color, which is rare, it does kinda change in relation to the family, they feel heavily white to me and by reading your asks about it, I headcanon my Crowny as a mixed Asian+white male and the one whose features do not pass as white, which plays a role in Prudence disliking him even more and Crowny being seeing as a sexless undesirable romantic prospect (as Asian men often were seeing thnx to the media), I just love imagining the kid Prudence hates the most is the one is more like her (in the hands of man who doesn't seen them as their own people and addicted to pills) and is also the one that tickles her not internalized racism, but also her being woc and marrying the asshole would've been seen as a big accomplishment, and it's no wonder she stayed.

In terms of race, it is a bit of a controversial subject on assigning specific traits to a specific skin color because it can easily fall into stereotypes. I’ve seen minorities say that they are referred to as “white” in a disparaging way they act certain ways (i.e don’t speak slang) which can enforce the old notion of:

Nonwhite = backwards, archaic, uneducated

White = educated, literate, sophisticated

I’m born in latam but I’ve gotten called “Canadian” which is short hand for white because of certain ways I act that aren’t the norm. Which isn’t meant to be a compliment but I’m also too non-Canadian to be seen as Canadian by others due to my love for my ethnicity

I guess the crowns could be seen as more white because they are a) a founding family and in the western world that is rare for North America b) have no specific culture ties but those can be explained away.

The crowns could be brown and be a founding family even during times of slavery and discrimination in the 19th century as the town isn’t truly connected to the outside world. As for the cultural ties, it’s basically a metaphor for a complete breakdown of the family unit. Cultural ties many times are used to reinforce community but the crowns have none of that. That’s not to say white people have no culture it’s more that many times when they don’t in fiction people default to white. As someone who grew up second generation immigrant I can say that it’s easy to lose cultural ties overall in a foreign country that promotes assimilation (even if they say they don’t) you have to really try

Bangchan - IV of Swords: He’s taking time to rest from all his responsibilities but he’s also mindful about his duties. It's like he still has his burdens in the back of his neck before going to sleep. There’s a saying in Spanish “un ojo al gato y otro al garabato”, which means you’re doing multiple tasks at the same time. Yes, he’s enjoying his time out but he’s working as well and has a anxiety because of his deadlines. Probably he's very anxious about how the shows are going to be, the response, the interactions. His mind is rushing.

Lee Know - Knight of Pentacles: He’s focusing on giving his all in the concerts and really get the good energy of the audience. This is something he’s been waiting for a long time and he feels happy that he can do it now. This is a precious moment for him. He also feels like he has a huge responsibility for taking too long to come. In a general sense I think he's working extra hard and focusing on how he can make the most of this experience for him, skz and stay.

Changbin - II of Wands: He’s super excited. This tour is making him widen his horizons and see beyond his imagination. He’s living the whole experience, he wants to go out, meet people, enjoy the food and deliver a top performance. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s catching on Latin rhythms and we get a dembow with soca in future comebacks. He’s totally in for some exploration.

Hyunjin - VIII of Swords: For some reason I’m getting he’s not going out as much as the others? Maybe he’s a little hesitant. Maybe he’s a little too tired from all the traveling to go outdoors, but I wonder if he will be more confident to go outside in the next days. I also wonder if it's a decision he's making on his own, maybe even he doesn't know. I'm also getting a "how could they gatekeep this from us??", like he will feel like he was trapped or someone was hiding a whole new world from them before going to latam.

Han - The Tower: His beliefs are being shaken up. I talked about some of them having cultural shocks, I think he might be one of them. The shocks aren't in a bad way, it’s like “the energy is different, what is this?�� Pretty much like Jack Skellington when he goes into Christmas town lol. I think if he had expectations about the concerts, the shows they had so far made him throw that away, his expectations were outshined by the reality. He loves it.

Felix - The Strength: He feels confident and ready to share a fiery side of him. Maybe he's going outside a lot, trying to see as much as he can. I'm also getting a protective energy, it's like he wants to take care of his fans in some way. He will come back stronger after this tour and he will feel very proud. He's already proud and grateful for the energy and more connected with the boys and stay than before. From the card image, he feels accompanied. "I'm not walking this road alone".

Seungmin - King of Pentacles: Very happy. He wants to provide to stay, he wants to give them many memories and a good time to remember until the next time they meet. He feels in debt and he's repaying all the years of waiting. He's focused, confident and he feels lucky. It's like he finally realized how abundant he is, in love (stay love), in his career and how important this career is, not only for him, but for all the people around them.

Jeongin - The Hermit: This trip is making him go inwards and reflect. I think he feels accomplished, but at the same time, as he moves forward and spend more time he feels the need to reflect. He might feel inspired. I also get the feeling that he can feel lonely sometimes, and I suppose it's because how far he is from his loved ones and other friends, the time difference and the amount of time they're traveling overseas for the tour.

Loowynn (and Owynn in general) is where I throw canon out the window and do whatever the hell I want. For Loowynn, that means they don’t meet and gradually get together over the course of the series. No, they start as an already established couple—because I love dysfunctional relationships, and I find it fun to explore why Owynn would even agree to this (spoiler: he’s stupid, and I hate him). Owynn, on the other hand, just has a god-awful life because I decided he should.

Loon and Owynn started dating over the phone—Loon in Japan, Owynn… wherever the hell the series takes place. Mostly because Owynn was already friends with Malva, they played games together, and one day Loon confessed. The idiot said, “lmao sure why not,” not even taking it seriously.

And then, to his utter dismay, he did start taking it seriously. Because, unfortunately, it fit too well with his insanity. He hates being seen as weak, hates his own femininity, hates losing control in interactions. He’s scared of romance. He’s scared of men. But over the phone, none of that matters. No one can touch him through a screen. He can let himself be “comforted” on bad days without looking pathetic—just bothering Loon and pretending he’s fine. No physical affection to deal with. It’s safe. And before he even realizes it, he’s completely attached.

Then Loon moves to LATAM. The long-awaited idol duo reunion. Everyone cheers. And suddenly, it’s a disaster. They have no clue how to navigate being in the same space. Loon is having the worst time of his life—new country, shitty Spanish, agoraphobia. Owynn, somehow, is also miserable. Without the phone as a barrier, everything feels too raw, too vulnerable. They’re together, but they aren’t close.

Loon tries to understand him without being invasive—he’s too scared to ask outright. Owynn refuses to share anything about himself unless he’s in a terrible mental state. They stay distant.

The yellow background at the start (when they’re only talking over the phone) represents Loon’s blood color. Harmless. Passable. Maybe a little scary. (Owynn was kind of intimidated by Loon in canon, so I get to have this. I love making owynn full of fear.)

Then, there are the three arthropods. Who the hell invited Red to the function lol. Scorpions are much bigger, and yet Owynn is still so full of fear. God, I hate him.

Then the colors shift—blue. Owynn’s blood color. "Flatline." His glasses are gone. His hair isn’t braided. His worst eye is covered. The message is clear: Oh right, this guy is mentally ill. His father makes him wear his hair that way to cover his eyes, like any other arthropod would. The braid symbolizes connection to life in his faith—so when he’s at his lowest, he stops wearing it. He ditches his glasses when he feels bad because, what’s the point? He’s going blind anyway.

Loon just looks scared. Confused. Taken aback. Because Owynn puts on this image of being untouchable, unstoppable. Always the best at everything. And yet, here he is, unstable. It’s strange to realize he has those fears.

A dead scorpion, it's pink, outlined in purple. Pink is tied to girlhood. Owynn’s hair was pink when he was younger. And he hates his past self. He hates the idea of being a weak little girl. He wants her dead.

The background is the same color as the scorpion. Ladybugs eat pests. Scorpions are a nuisance. Ladybugs were deemed holy—the bug of the lady. Loon is objectively a better person than Owynn. If someone were to see the most shameful part of him, it would be like killing "Owynn". And if anyone should get to do that, it should be Loon. See the worst version of him and hurt it until it doesn’t exist anymore.

Blue again, Owynn having that huge shadow. Enacting his plan which no one even understands. She in pink, if he's similar to "her" (if he's weak) he should die, so before he gets any softer he's gonna do what he has wanted to this whole time. Get trapped in the shadow world. One last act of destruction before disappearing completely. He doesn’t have the strength to kill himself, but he’s desperate enough to lay down in nothingness forever. Just stop moving forward.

He agreed to dating. Agreed to caring about Loon and Red. Because it was temporary. Because it didn’t matter how much softness rotted him from the inside if there was a deadline.

In his faith, black and white both mean death. He wears a full white suit, hair unbraided. Mocking everyone one last time. His tongue? Missing a chunk.

I mentioned he’s scared of romance and men. That’s because, when he was younger, he "dated" a guy. And that guy took the chunk out of his tongue. Kids can be insanely cruel. When his dad found out another kid just beat him up and bit off his toungue, all he had to say was that "men are like that" and that it was his fault for doing "adult things" when he was just a fragile little girl.

Later, he has fangs. His green eye is gone. That’s how he unconsciously wants to be seen. His power lets him create illusions, and sometimes, he does it without meaning to. He erases his nearly blind green eye, sharpens his flat teeth. He used to think his green eye was pretty. Then it got worse and worse, and now he resents it. Resents that he’s going to lose it.

"I insist somebody will die, and I hate hoping." He wanted to kill his father. The fight with Freddy started because Owynn stole pills to try to murder his dad. But it didn’t work. His friend slashed him in the stomach. His father kept being awful. And through it all, Owynn is dressed in black and white—death.

Surprise! He did get sent to limbo! It lasted like five minutes before he was pulled out! Nothing will ever get better. Everything is ruined. They took away the ONE thing he wanted, to be nothing for a bit, to stop worrying for his life. He takes off his coat, goes back to making everyone’s life worse. His cracked arms exposed. A shirt that doesn’t even go with a suit, but it’s all he had.

He hates himself. Hates his life. Hates his past self, the version of him he deems the absolute worst. Wants her dead. Wants himself dead. Wants everyone dead—wants them to leave him alone with his miserable life that won’t get fixed no matter what. Making others suffer is fun. Usually.

But he’s attached.

And he hates it.

He feels bad. Feels awful. Feels sad. And he hates that, through all of this, he genuinely loves his partners. Stupid, unorganized memories flood in. He doesn’t need to think about this. It doesn’t matter. He should leave before he gets hurt like he always does.

Then, he looks at his hand. Two rings.

He stops.

Weak again. Vulnerable. Gross. His purple mixing with that shameful pink. And that green eye he despises. He stops. AND THATS IT I DONT KNOW IM SORRY. I PROMISE HES AWFUL. I PROMISE. I was wondering what Tim's racial traits are? Because I know that Bruce is Jewish, Dick is Romani, Jason is possibly Latino (I don't know if it's canon but his own traits wouldn't change because Latinos are very diverse, some may be white… The Latina who lives in Latam speaks uwu) , Cass is Asian, I think Chinese?, Babs is possibly white, Duke is Afro-American, Alfred is obviously British, Steph is white and Damian is mixed Arab-Jewish.

This is because I have seen him portrayed as white, Jewish or Asian, specifically Chinese, Japanese or Cambodian. I also love the possibility that the Batfam is a target of the Pro American (Damian would be a frequent victim) and Neo Nazis (Here they put everyone in the bag , even Tim if he were a white man the Nazis also persecuted homosexuals) and I feel that it would be something that would unite them as a family because it would be them against the world sjfshsaj and DC is a coward, possibly they put those things. and i lov your work uwu

Hello! I've seen a ton of cool AUs that portray him (and more specifically his mom) from different backgrounds, but I believe he is canonically white.

For Tim, I've seen some posts mentioning that some comic book creator was going to make him Jewish. They never quite added that into canon (his dad is atheist and his mom is implied to be Catholic), but that might be another reason why he's been portrayed as Jewish or other cultural backgrounds in AUs. Personally, it's rad to see how his storyline, characterization, or choices may or may not change or be affected by changing his upbringing, cultural background, or race. I've seen some cool AUs with Red Room or Russian decent Tim Drake.

I'm honestly not positive on Jason. I don't think DC quite confirmed a specific ethnicity for him, but he's implied to be white. I was trying to find anything that mentioned it, and someone talked about how, when he was researching who his bio mom is, he seriously considered Lady Shiva. This could indicate that he's racially ambiguous.

I personally hc him to be a third or fourth generation immigrant on his dad's side. This, in the hc, could be examined for how his dad may face social and structural barriers to obtaining work. Combined with his dad becoming a father at a young age (anywhere from 18 to 23), Willis was forced to find illegal work just to pay his bills for his family. At least, that's my hc if we're going with a good parent Willis.

You are correct that the Waynes, due to their mixed backgrounds, may face hate or be targeted by hate groups. Barbara may also be included with this due to her visible disability (I hc that some of the Waynes have, at the very least, some invisible disabilities). If we're going strictly off of canonically proven backgrounds/traits, Tim would face hate for being openly bisexual.

I am not aware of any hate groups residing within Gotham. I could 100% be wrong about that. There is the possibility of eugenicists, anti-meta groups, and supremacists (especially in positions of power) existing in Gotham. On the other hand, some of the Rogues would probably decimate those groups if they tried to root themselves in Gotham. That city is chaotic, but I love the hc that the Bats and some rogues (like Harley, Riddler, and Ivy) protect Pride events and other such gatherings. I find it more healing to think about the Rogues, despite being mass murders, drawing the line at being a bigot.

I've seen some fics that chat about the Waynes coming to Damian's defense when he's being racially targeted at school or galas. I haven't seen any for the Waynes as a whole being targeted by hate groups, but that is a possibility to explore. At the very least, there may be some awful shit online that Barbara stumbles across (even if the users aren't based in Gotham due to the Waynes being famous).

Gina, I hope you are well. I confess that recently I've been putting questions about fandom in a little box in my mind because of the busyness of life, but recently this issue of bbg, Louis's blocks and how this new generation of fans react to all of this , made me reflect a little on things. Honestly, it might just be my impression, but don't you think that the fandom seems to have regressed when it comes to social issues such as feminism, racism and the lgbtqia+ community? Today I went on Twitter/X and was shocked when I saw someone saying that homophobia almost doesn't exist in UK anymore and that's why it doesn't make sense that Larry hasn't come out yet. I live in Latam and not in UK, but you don't need to be a genius to know that unfortunately society is still very backwards when it comes to sexuality and gender identity, it really was regrettable to see that this type of thinking is becoming popular around the internet

That… is depressing. I feel as though there is a growing number of people who’ve become incredibly stupid, and it really frightens me.

The idea that homophobia “doesn’t exist” anymore is asinine. Just because some celebrities are out, or because you happen to live somewhere people can be open about their sexuality, doesn’t mean a thing when you look outside of your little bubble.

Appreciation post of Louis in LATAM.

A while back did a post about Louis going to see fans after the shows. I want to do a similar thing but about Louis in LATAM.

For me what Louis did in LATAM was a huge deal. Going to 3 different countries and plan so many interviews, to see as many fans as possible is not something common that international artists do in LATAM (for what I had seen).

Even this journalist & Louis talks about it how this kind of promo is inusual (transcript here):

What Louis did is not that usual as it used to be in the music industry. Maybe because times had change and the promo of music is different now, the budget is different etc.

Louis had said over a few interviews how he thought for a while to come to LATAM to thank the support and see the fans. Yes he is also promoting the tour but he could easily choose to just do the shows and that is it, but he pick the difficult option.

I mean difficult option because there is a lot that Louis has to do in order to make the interviews happened and see the fans. I will first talk about the interview aspect and then the fan aspect.

For the interviews he is doing between 6 to 10 interviews aprox. for each country, between 10 to 30 min each, is a full day of press. Even if he could feel tired of traveling, etc., he still managed to bring his best energy, he was so sweet and attentive with the journalists, doesn't matter if the questions were repetitive he always tried to answer the best he can and be present, show that he cares and he acknowledge the love he has for the fans in that specific country. The journalists have said only positive things about their experiences interviewing Louis.

Is a lot of work he had put on those interviews and is not easy, not to mention the few interviews that are live stream where he had to be so ready to answer because everyone was watching him.

During the interviews he asked for recommendations so he can learn more about the culture of each country, he also tried to learn a few words in Portuguese so he can say different things to fans in the shows in Brasil, he also spoke in Spanish and Guaraní.

We got so many interviews and even a few answer we already knew we also got new content of Louis' thought process in music & other topics. I find it fascinating learning more things about his perspective as an artist an as a person in general.

Now for the fans aspect, besides the press day on the same day he took time out of his day to do meet & greets with fans and also took pictures with fans outside of the radio stations and hotels. Even if Louis loves the fans, it also takes a lot of effort mentally and emotionally to to show love and smile to fans, to be kind, attentive even if is for just a second, because this moments will live in the memory of fans forever.

There is a lot of: travel, social interactions, people wanting his attention, fans yelling his name, asking for an autograph, wanted to touch him or be close to him, show him phones so he takes a picture, everyone filming every move he takes. It's a lot of love but also a lot of chaos and it can be overwhelming specially after a break when he was living his normal life. But even it's a lot to take in, Louis did the extra effort so fans felt seen and special.

I try to remind myself this, because I often see the fans interactions and feel happy that he is seeing so much support but I put in the back of my mind the effort that Louis needs to do personally to be in that mental space to give the best of him.

I'm thankful for Louis and his kind heart that wanted to show love for LATAM, makes me cry everytime I think about it. He comes from another place around the world where is totally different how the fans are and he still loves and appreciates the passion and excitement from fans of LATAM countries.

I also very thankful that the fans welcome Louis with so much love and excitement, making Louis feel special and make him notice how much support he has around the world. It makes me so happy that he is appreciating this moment without a show, realising that people want to see him, that he is noticing again of how meaningful his music is and the impact he has in so many lives.

I'm so glad Louis came to Brasil, Chile and Argentina. I hope he does similar things in other countries in the future.

What Louis did is not something we see often, there are not a lot of artists that go above and beyond to make fans feel special, he made a huge effort and he always try to see as many fans as possible in different countries. He is an amazing artist but also a very kind human that understand how meaningful this actions are to fans, we are very lucky to have an artist like Louis.

I’m a fan, but also a hater with what I like to think is critical thinking. I vibe with the whole deconstructing gender stereotypes thing, but I feel like when we do that, we just fall into others. And it always makes me wonder: Why does almost every Jegulus and Wolfstar fanart look like this?

Okay, I get that everything about the Marauders is headcanon at this point, but like, there’s no crime in keeping some things from the books as long as we’re not supporting JKR’s problematic stuff, right? No need to change the characters so much they’re not even recognizable anymore.

For starters, it really bothers me how Sirius and Regulus are always made shorter, like it’s a must or something. Sirius is literally canonically the tallest of the boys, and Regulus is just described as shorter than Sirius. Plus, another Black family member (Bellatrix) is described as tall, so it’s not a stretch to say the Blacks are generally tall people. But nooo, they’re always drawn as these small, delicate dudes. Why though? Do we really need one of them to fit the twink stereotype in a BL ship? In the end, I think the way they’re drawn just pushes more harmful stereotypes, when the whole point was to, like, fight against gender norms. And it’s worse when they’re almost always made the passive ones in their relationships.

Then there’s Remus Lupin. Honestly, it feels like people don’t even like his character for what he is, so they just make him something totally different. Like, yeah, he’s tall, but he’s supposed to be kind of scruffy, not this ripped sex symbol the fandom’s turned him into. He’s a guy with a literal chronic illness (his lycanthropy) that makes him physically weaker, and there’s so much potential in playing with that. Why not lean into those traits? I’ve always hated the whole ‘Casanova of Gryffindor Tower’ vibe because it just feels unnecessary and waters down what makes Lupin interesting. Why turn him into this prime example of hegemonic masculinity when we’re supposed to be avoiding that?

With James, I don’t have as much to say, because most of his traits are personality-based. But even he gets hypermasculinized, and it’s just not necessary. They’ve basically turned him into another beefy, square-jawed dude with zero flavor, aside from occasionally making him a token ethnic guy, usually Latino. And as a Latina (born and raised in LATAM), I feel like the way they describe him crosses the line from representation into fetishization. Like, he’s just ‘exotic’ enough to make him ‘interesting,’ but come on—do some actual research when you do stuff like that.

Anyway, I have so much more I could say, but... whatever. I’m open to debate as long as it’s respectful. That’s why I personally prefer mixing headcanon with canon instead of just throwing canon out the window.

Okay. So. BBG is the biggest load of bullshit I’ve ever heard (reference fully intended). This shit was so poorly done, with so many mistakes, and so many things that didn’t add up. All on top of a young dude who’s meant to be marketable to the masses as attainable, to provide more sales etc., and not a bad boy that fucks multiple women and gets one of them pregnant. That’s just… not good PR, first of all, and also negatively affects not only him, but the band as well, regardless of them going on break. Why not just have Louis single and attainable? Market him as a bit more charming and sexy and maybe doing the Harry thing, to ensure more promo?

Well, because Louis was the punching bag for SC and friends and they didn’t want him to take the limelight off Harry for a solo career, and needed to be as far away as possible from each other to ensure Harry’s coming out. ANYWAY you’ve heard me talk about this shit before yada yada yada. So, im gonna chat about what’s happening now instead.

For the last little while, Larries have been given small sips of water while being stranded in the desert, is kinda the best way I can describe it. We’re only getting content from Louis, also, which is something to remember. We’re not getting double the content from Harry so it’s been fairly quiet. Anyway. We’ve gotten green and blue lights, coded clothing, 7, gazing and pointing at the ceiling/boxes, all that stuff, but really, it’s no proof. It’s little tidbits in the grand scheme of things, and unfortunately in this grand scheme of things, exists bbg.

Louis has been single for a long while now, and his dating life doesn’t get traction in the press. Neither will these jerseys or really much else he does. Unless he were to be tied to a major artist/actress who’s super famous, he’s not gonna get any further press outside of the realm he is currently in, unfortunately. And I think perhaps that is something he tends to reference when he’s on stage. The whole “we did this together, we need each other, we didn’t need anyone else’s help, im so lucky that you accept me as I am” etc, because he’s not been stunting to up his market value. He’s just… doing well with the fans. It’s lucky he has such a dedicated fanbase. Artists don’t have this all the time.

Now, idk why tf LATAM has brought on so much F content with these jerseys, and I don’t know who in their right mind is actually spending money on this shit to gift to Louis (particularly in an economic cost of living crisis), but it’s truly bizarre. If I believed in bbg, I wouldn’t be giving him gifts for his kid, and I could’ve done it quite easily backstage by getting someone to leave it in his dressing room or whatever. But it’s weirddddd and a waste of moneyyyyy and doesn’t make him love you any more than other fans. Is it like a weird anti power play or something? Idk. But what I do know, is that these jerseys have had a very clear narrative.

Idk if something is coming or Harry is gonna come out or whatever, but Louis is doing his pretty little barely smile and wave and glancing at these jerseys before popping them on the stage. He doesn’t seem to look particularly over the moon with them, does he? He’s just like “oh okay thanks” and slaps the hell out of his chest and goes back to doing whatever he was doing. If he loved getting gifts from fans for F all over the world (and didn’t think it was weird nor was it a setup), I imagine maaaaaybe he’d show it off to the crowd a bit more? Maybe a “this is great, thank you! Everyone look at this sick jersey for my little lad! He’s gonna love that” because Louis is SO proud of that kid and loves that kid SO much and I just feel like he’d be more excited about it.

If bbg was real and he found it weird, he’d still probably smile a little more and be a little more into it than what he seems to be. This second time round was a bit more of a grimace and I just don’t see him being stoked about it. But let’s talk about that… why has there been two fucking jerseys for “his” kid given to him in very close succession? wtf is going on?

well, one of those times, apparently the Louis jersey was gifted to him backstage, but they saved the F jersey to give it to him on stage. Personally, idk, if I was a fan and brought these jerseys and got to go backstage (?????) to gift him them, I would probably give them at the same time. Because that makes sense. Because otherwise you need to carry it around and also try and get his attention from the crowd and it just seems surely like more of a fuck around. It’s weird, weird, and weird, and feels like way more of a set up than usual.

Because, it’s just a little reminder for everyone about bbg, and that it exists. It’s a good little thing to just upkeep that narrative without having to DO anything. It’s easy. But also interesting timing, and why now?

Harry’s coming back on the radar slowly, after a BUA, and so perhaps there could be a coming out in the near future that would encourage Louis to continue to look hettie af. Perhaps it’s to distract from any larry stuff that may happen or has happened around this time. Maybe it’s a good little way to upkeep the narrative if Louis and Harry start forming a friendship or liking each other’s photo online or SOMETHING. it can be for so many reasons. But, the main one isn’t to get rid of us. I promise you that.

Louis’ fandom, while it slowly continues to develop and grow, is majority larries. It’s just a matter of fact that more Larries flocked to Louis when Harry started getting a fucking crazy fanbase and started doing a million stunts. Louis felt safer, and continues to feel safer. Don’t get me wrong, still a huge amount of harries are larries, but as it stands, Louis has a very strong amount of us on his side. And he’s not an idiot, he knows that. He knows his demographic, he would be updated about that by PR, and they would analyse it too and see what needs to be damage control, what the age ranges are, what the social media content is between the fans, and how they view louis. All very basic stuff, and so he’d know. Hence the “so be it” comment. He knows that without us, there was a larger potential he could’ve flipped and would be playing theatres as opposed to arenas. He could’ve pushed us waaaaay further away than what he has with his weird little denials and F comments, he could have that kid at more shows and be flaunting him on Instagram, and could be actively trying to really squash it. But he doesn’t (some people say it’s because being linked to Harry gives him promo but that’s another conversation for another time so don’t bring that up please haha).

He states, very loudly and clearly, that he appreciates and loves every single one of us. He doesn’t make snide comments, he doesn’t say this kind of dismissively, he makes a point to say he loves all of us no matter what. He pointedly said that he thanks us for accepting him. And quite frankly, if I was in his position, I’d probably find a better way of saying that if I wanted to dispel the rumours.

These little jersey setups (which I believe one person has started and others have followed giving a great little way to remind us of bbg from louis’ team and UAs), are awfully staged and just cause fights within the fandom. It’s not ideal, but hell, it beats seeing him with that kid everywhere. And these days are very interesting with how fans get their information. Years ago, while we had groupies and insiders, update accounts weren’t manipulated the way they are now. We had blind items, sure, but anyone could write into that. We had receipts, and while many were real, many also weren’t. But now… with how big fanbases are online, the best way to communicate narratives are fan to fan, as opposed to media to fan. It seems more genuine. It seems less fake like media items are. It looks real.

So with these jersey incidences and UAs blabbering on and posting pictures of jerseys before the show and saying how much Louis loved them and all that, it’s manipulated as more real than what it is. You can’t write an article about everything, but you can tip off UAs or Deuxmoi with a fake name to get them to post shit for the fandom exclusively to see. It’s simple, but very effective. And it’s just… pure marketing, and encourages artist to fan interaction (which should be supported online but the boys can lack that these days which is shit on their behalf), and helps dispel the rumours within the fandom.

Wow okay. This turned into an essay and im not actually gonna reread it because I don’t have time but if you’ve gotten this far in my rambling, kudos to you. My main points are:

- no matter how many jerseys louis gets for F, he’s still not a dad

- those jerseys will not magically make him a dad

- these stunt narratives are sooooo see through and boring these days I just roll my eyes at it but thank god it’s a lot more lowkey to what it could be

- Louis loves us and wants us here bc we pay his bills and also accept him and support him and we’re on whatever journey he wants to take together

- these little ongoing narrative pushes can be the preface to a coming out on Harry’s side/reconciliation between the boys

- keep an eye on body language throughout these interactions

- giving gifts to ur fave relating to their kid no matter what you believe is creepy and weird and a lot of us seem to be in agreement on that

- this shit isn’t louis’ fault

- don’t believe everything you read on Twitter

- they missed the boat on ending this stunt years ago and ending it now is gonna be very fucking hard

- it’s easily arguable that even if Larry wasn’t real, Louis’ still not a dad

I will say this with absolutely no ill will towards you: you should learn to chill out. Nobody is trying to lynch you, this is the internet and you're not some kind of world famous star. Whatever you say here, you're saying it anonymous. You are not in danger.

I do think your concerns about the male violence and how male people are viewed by the gen Z are valid. I do agree that white people like to protect themselves with labels. I do believe that this younger generation was raised by the internet, so they tend to be very aggressive (especially the english speakers and ESPECIALLY americans).

But you need to understand that these people are the minority. Like, a percent of a percent. They don't represent the community they're "fighting" for, let alone the whole internet. They are not capable of harming you in any way.

It's kind of hard to find any in depth info on Seiðr and where to begin. Do you have any recommendations on how to start researching it? I've already got a good base line for Norse Paganism in general, but I've been feeling a draw to look into Seiðr and can't find any good resources

I answer something similar here, but there is a couple of alternatives.

I know there are a bunch of groups that practice seidr in the US, UK and some in Europe - but I understand it's not available for everyone (I myself am in LATAM).

A good way to start is look for the books and materials about it. There's a link on the ask, but Seidr - The Gate is Open and Odin's Gateaway by Katie Gerrard are good introductory books with step by step practices to train, also The Deeper Arts of the Völva by Ivy Mulligan). I myself was self taught a lot of the practices, so it's a lot of trial and error (although I had a previous baseline in a similar practice on Umbanda temples and was trained by a völva around 5 years ago).

Seiðr is the practice of shamanism by nordic peoples, it's not a different type of magic. I call myself a völva because these are the practices I follow, the spiritual culture I am inserted and the pantheon I am dedicated to (also because I was a seiðr practicioner in more than one previous lives, but oh well...), but really it's not something so different.

Oh, some of the books are on Kindle Unlimited (and im sure you can find them online aswell). I hope you like them and can start your path! I'm always open to talk!

I think he expected that he was going to enjoy it a lot more than he actually did. Knowing about his health condition and from the picture of the Queen of Pentacles in this deck, I'm seeing he was expecting to eat a lot of food (it's a cat queen licking a coin) and just enjoy a lot of things, maybe spend money in different activities and buy a lot of things for himself, but he couldn't. He had to overcome some hardships during the trip that made him be a little absent minded or conflicted. I don't think it was just about the food, I see emotional hurt as well. I see mostly a conflict between his thoughts and feelings that he did forget eventually as the days passed. He overcame this frustration with his friends, his team mates and with stay when he was performing. I'm seeing that, at least in those moments when he was on stage, he was genuinely happy. I think the whole crew played a huge roll in helping Hyunjin feel better, not only physical but emotionally as well (though some may contributed with him feeling bitter about not enjoying that much, maybe because indications and rules). In a general sense, The Star reversed tells me that his hopes shattered and he was bored because he had to spend a lot of time indoors and couldn't see as much as he wanted in the end. He focused mostly on that and he feels bitter about it.♠︎

hi! first of all, i'm so sorry you're feeling the way that you are. you've helped open my eyes to things i admittedly didn't know (dan's comment at wad, for example) or didn't notice. i'm glad you're receiving at least some support from other phans! i don't know if this helps at all (and it's not me trying to excuse dan), but i wanted to add some context to his "third-world country" reference. as an american, i can tell you that we grew up learning "this"third world" as the proper term. most of my colleagues, friends, family members, etc. STILL use it casually to refer to developing nations/the global south - we were literally taught to use it in school. of course it has since become obsolete, as the wording is incredibly offensive. i know about this because of my time in academia, but this awareness hasn't at all spread to the general population (especially in dan's/my generation of millennials and older). as smart as i do think dan is, i wonder if that's also the case in england. he has the responsibility to educate and inform himself and he needs to acknowledge that he's hurt and alienated a large proportion of his fanbase, so i still hope he'll do that soon.

as for the tour, one of my my best friends is mexican (and lives in mexico) and she was really disappointed during ii when they had to cancel the announced mexico dates. they had assumed the dates would work out, but - if i remember correctly - were presented with a lot of visa/permissions issues. they tried to make it work but it didn't, and they waited much too long to tell anyone. my guess is that they wanted to avoid a similar disappointment this time and not give anyone false hope, nor accidentally say anything negative about those countries as they explain their reasoning (which, of course, just comes off worse - ignoring is never the issue).

other artists have had similar issues with asian and middle eastern countries as well, as there is increased censorship and visa requirements. i've spent four years of my life in asian countries (and a few months in south america) and know that there are phans there who'd love to see them, but it might not be feasible.

ultimately, however, dan and phil owe everyone transparency and need to acknowledge if they're having difficulties with bookings in other countries and why. they usually go back and add dates later, so fingers crossed that they're trying to work out some dates in latam and may yet still add them.

It’s the lack of transparency that is the issue here. How am I supposed to trust them when they won’t tell me anything in the first place? And if they expect me to assume for the best, I don’t think I can do that. Not with all the time they tried to bury their mistakes when people have been hurt as if it’s nothing. I’m sorry but if they’re choosing to look good in the public eye before choosing us, then I don’t think I can trust them anymore. And it’s not that they’ll look bad when they’re talking about this stuff, but the fact they have never once talked about it ever really makes it feel like they want to keep this shut. And that hurts a lot.
