Ngl, a lot of Apple ships would probably work best after the kids graduate from high school instead of having an immediate relationship with them as a teen because...*vaguely gestures at Apple as a whole*...there's a lot of issues here that romance just can not fix for her.

This is also besides the whole thing about her being a victim to comphet (which it appears she obviously is) due to her legit thoughts on rebels as a whole!

Raven? She's so adamant about her being evil, even though she's heard Raven talk nonstop about how miserable she is being meant to be so. Apple cares about her poofing away, but only to the degree that makes her appear selfish for not listening to Raven's problems.

Darling? She doesn't even acknowledge her as her hero, even after being saved by her during the Dragon Games. Also, Darling is a rebel, especially one who has been in a position similar to Apple's as a damsel.

EDIT: Adding onto this part, with people labeling Darling as Apple's hero, my question isn't necessarily why she'd choose Apple as a damsel to save, but moreso why she'd choose her as a romantic partner? With how persistent Apple is with everyone following their destinies while being a victim of society's toxic masculinity (I.E., having Daring be her true love because he was technically betrothed to be her hero originally), having a destiny-oriented girlfriend would be a toxic relationship in this case. Would Apple have a girlfriend? Sure, and that would be great from her end. However, Darling is a Charming who's supposed to be more versatile in what story she wants to be a part of. She could be Apple's savior, but she could also be Holly's hero or Alistair's guardian. She's not a one-trick pony; she's a multi-trick mare with a heroic drive to decide her own fate.

Briar? She was her literal ride-or-die best friend! Briar would do anything to show her love and care to Apple, but Apple never reciprocated these feelings. She and Briar had even developed to grow apart due to Briar's plans of rebelling.
