hey. ok. so i had a thought.

earlier i remembered something very interesting about martyns life series. specifically the fact that he was teamed with renDOG in DOGwarts in third life, and now he’s the big DOGS with jimmy in secret life.

now this is very interesting to me for a handful of reasons. first being the fact that jimmy was the second red name on the server in third life, and now again in secret life. scar was the first red in third life, and if i remember correctly ren was the third.

second is that, this time, in secret life, martyn is the FIRST ONE to red, after he won limited life, and with a dog motif. when in third life, he was one of the last people to red, if not the last to red, while paired with one of the first reds on the server with a dog motif.

i’m not sure i’m articulating this correctly, but with how absolutely horrific martyns luck has been this week while teamed with jimmy, coupled with him being the first red on the server with a dog motif, i’m inclined to hazard a guess that martyns not only caught the canary’s curse, but he’s also finally gotten the dog’s crown.

and it seems the weight of it was far too heavy, and it took him straight down to the End. the Hand was never meant to be that bloody. but the Hand has no leash.

this is just a long winded way of saying feral dog analogy please martyn go feral just go absolutely hog wild do it for ren and more importantly do it for The Bit

i finally started reading S. by doug dorst and jj. abrams after having owned it for years and GOD! this book is so much fun! i was pretty apprehensive about it but so far it’s just been a very good time + i love the characters and the ideas being explored. hopefully jj doesn’t find a way to mess it all up on the finishing line tho
