rafe being grumpy when he's sick
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

warnings: none
Tumblr media
rafe never got sick anymore like ever
ever since he hit puberty he wasn't catching cold anymore, no health problems (expect for being fucked in the head)
so to say you were surprised when you saw him lying in bed under a thick duvet in the middle of summer would be an understatement
"yo topper what happened to rafe? i leave for three days and my boyfriend's completely wiped out??"
"is he asleep?"
"yeah! that's what's weird!"
"weird? girl you're lucky he's asleep, he's been a complete diva last two days"
rafe woke up after an hour and told you that he must have got sick when they were out at the beach and suddenly it started pouring cold rain and he was soaked before he got in the car
"yeah they brought me some syrup so cough is gone, but who gives a shit, this fuckin fever is too much anyways"
turns out rafe barely ate the last two days since he couldn't get out of bed and he was sick of the food topper and kelce were ordering for him
"wendy's not a type of food you eat when you want to get better rafe"
"hell i know, but what, is it my fault i have to have idiots as friends?"
you rolled your eyes and told him to lay down with cold compress for the fever
in the meantime you drove to get grosseries and made him chicken soup
you could see he really liked it but when he ate he mumbled a quiet "thanks" and went upstairs
that's the last you saw him that day and you were kinda mad at him
next day it didn't got better since he noticed you didn't come to bed last night
"i went to guest bedroom, im not catching whatever you got"
you didn't see him much for another day, only when he was coming to the kitchen for next bottle of water
so at least he took your advice to stay hydrated
not like you could hear him saying: hydration this, hydration that, who tf would want to pee that much
topper was right, you lived with a diva under one roof
grumpy, 6'2, hoodie clad diva
but on the third day you were finally about to reach a truce
rafe came for breakfast and you could see he felt better, as he was almost smiling and wasn't shivering
you ate breakfast in silence but he followed you like a lost puppy to the couch where you sprawled out to watch tv
you were watching real housewives of atlanta and rafe sat down with you for 3 episodes fourth now staring
he was quiet but all of the sudden he started to complain how awful it is to be sick in the summer
he tried to grab your attention, he knew you were testing him, you never binged rhoa for that long
you also knew exactly what he was doing, he was trying to make up with you but you weren't having his ways, so you informed him that you're going to take a swim
rafe was upset that his plan didn't work out, apparently not only sitting through four episodes of rhoa wasn't enough sacrifice for you but it also made him hungry
so he decided to win you back with very simple and little bit goofy solution
you came back after hour and a half, also hungry
you found rafe sitting at the table
there was a faint delicious smell in the kitchen
"you made soup?" you asked rafe after taking a peek to his plate
rafe didn't respond and held out a spoon to you, letter pasta forming words: im sorry bby
you couldn't be mad at him anymore
you ladled yourself a bowl of soup and formed a response on your spoon as quickly as you could
rafe smilled at words ur cute and let out a chuckle
"i missed this smile" you said and kissed him lightly, happy when you felt him smiling into the kiss
"and i missed those lips"

a/n: my first work for rafe, hope it was okay and feedback is really appreciated ♡

Chapter I: when worlds collide
SERIES MASTERLIST | next
Tumblr media
Sitting in your car, you’ve been looking blinkingly at the windshield, hands trembling against the steering wheel. For ten whole minutes, you’ve been frozen like this as if moving would shatter the fragile sense of calm you’ve barely managed to hold together.
Your life is about to drastically change; you know it deep down.
“The deed is done,” you whisper to yourself.
You let out a shaky breath, and your reflection in the rearview mirror catches your eye. You look exhausted, your eyes wide and glistening.
For two years, this moment has been building. You have thoughtfully considered having a child on your own. At first, it was just a random thought that crossed your mind, a curiosity born on one of those quiet, lonely moments where life felt both too much and not enough. Then, you deeply thought about it. The idea rooted itself deep within you, anchoring into something raw and tender: a longing to create a family on your own terms.
After much research and consideration, you decided to go for it.
Many people couldn’t understand your choice, but honestly, you don’t give two shits about others’ opinions. What did matter to you was the support of close family and friends.
Felix, the man who raised you after your parents were stolen from you, proposed to accompany you to the fertility clinic, but you gently declined his offer. This was something you wanted to do by yourself. Well, you just came alone to be inseminated. Other than that, he has been by your side every step of the way.
He helped you to go through the countless donor profiles, and every document needed for this adventure of yours.
The process was a bit long and emotionally draining. The first steps were more like an evaluation, mostly for the clinic to understand your reasons and ensure you’ve deeply thought about all the aspects. Having a kid alone isn’t just about fulfilling your dreams but also about building a life for a child.
Once you’ve successfully completed those steps, you had to choose the donor. There were a lot of choices; it was like going grocery shopping. You were handed a catalog of potential donors with their medical histories and first names. It felt odd to be choosing the progenitor like this. After going through every profile, one of them stood out.
Following the donor selection, your cycles and hormone levels were tracked. When all was good, you’d get inseminated on your ovulation period, which technically is happening this week.
So, ten minutes ago, you walked out of the clinic after being artificially knocked up.
If your egg is fertilized, in nine months, you’ll welcome your very much desired baby. A tiny human who will call you mom. You already picked the names, one for a girl, one for a boy. You simply can’t wait to welcome a tiny human in your life. Hopefully, the life of your baby will be better than yours.
You lean your head against the steering wheel, closing your eyes as the ghosts of your past surface.
Twenty years ago, your life was turned upside down when a terrible murderer put an end to your parents’ lives. Nobody ever found him or her; it’s like the person completely vanished into the night. That person left behind a little girl with questions nobody could ever answer and scars nobody could understand.
Since you didn’t have any family left, you were raised by your father’s best friend, Felix. Over time, he became like a second father to you. Even though you were full of anger when he took you over, he stayed by your side and helped you navigate this sad reality; one where your parents weren’t part of anymore.
His daughter, Lexi is your age. You were already so close, and living under the same roof brought you even closer. She’s your super best friend, almost like a sister today. A smile grows on your face as you think of her. Your life would have been a nightmare without her.
Lexi was the first person to be aware of this desire to become a single mother. She even pushed you to do it as soon as you could, and she has encouraged you like nobody else. She also helped you select a donor; she even made fun of the names of some of them.
Your phone buzzes; the name and picture of Lexi appearing on the screen.
“Hi,” you say when you pick up.
“Soo,” she says. “How did it go?”
“Good, I guess?” you say with clear hesitation. “The doctor just inserted a thin catheter, looked at the screen, and said it was done,” you explain. “Now we just have to wait.”
Waiting is now the worst part, especially since you decided not to take any pregnancy test until the next appointment. Meaning, you have to wait two full weeks.
“Let’s hope the donor’s little swimmers are good ones,” she says.
While you always wanted to have a kid, Lexi never wanted one. You and her are total opposites but that’s what helped create such a strong bond between you. “Yeah, let’s hope for that,” you smile.

Two weeks later
A couple of days ago, you took a blood test, and now, you’re in the waiting room, patiently waiting for the doctor to call you up.
These past two weeks, you’ve been internally battling to take a pregnancy test. It’s been hard to fight the urge to discover beforehand if you’re expecting or not. On your way to the clinic, your heart was beating extremely fast with nervousness. Even the music playing in the car didn’t seem to calm you down.
Even though you’re extremely nervous, a part of you knows. You can’t explain it, but you feel it deep down. Two nights ago, you were lying in bed completely exhausted after an intense day at work. The rhythm of your heartbeat was rocking you to sleep. Amidst the thrum of your own heart, you swear you could hear a faint, smaller, and quicker rhythm.
You instantly opened your eyes, scanning the room. The sound wasn’t coming from outside. It felt like it was inside you. You stayed perfectly still, listening to that tiny sound. That night, you were rocked to sleep by that new rhythm.
The morning after, as you caught your reflection in the bathroom’s mirror, something felt off. Your brows furrowed as you noticed your own scent was different. It felt like it was mixed with somebody else’s scent, but it wasn’t as strong as yours or any other living human. It was extremely odd.
After a little while, the doctor says your name, and with shaky legs, you walk to her office. Your heart is beating at a very crazy pace, ready to burst at any moment. This is so stressful; it feels like time is moving so slowly.
“Hello yn,” the doctor smiles at you while you’re entering the room. “How have you been feeling?” you now take a seat.
“I’m good, thanks,” you smile back at her.
She sits down at her desk and takes a look at her computer.
“So, did you take any pregnancy test?” she asks.
“No, no,” you answer. “I wanted to keep the surprise for today.”
“I see,” she looks again at her screen before taping on her keyboard.
She seems to quickly read something before her smile widens. Your heart is going completely crazy. It really makes you nervous, and you try to mentally prepare yourself to receive the bad news as well. It’ll definitely break your heart but you’ll try again.
This entire process is quite expensive, but the payment can be spread out over time rather than made in one shot. With this first payment, you have the right to three attempts. If pregnancy isn’t achieved after those attempts, you’ll have to go through another round and pay for additional attempts.
The doctor mentioned that usually, it takes about three to six attempts to achieve a successful pregnancy. Hopefully, you’ll get pregnant within those first three tries. You’re not entirely sure you’ll be able to afford another round of insemination.
“Well, it looks like it only took you one try to conceive,” she informs you.
And right there, your heart bursts with joy. There’s indeed a little human being growing inside you. You’ll become a mother in nine months. You can’t believe it.
A little tear runs down your face as you hear the good news. It’s such a relief. You won't have to worry about coming back for another round.
“That’s good news,” you clean the tear on your cheek.
“It is indeed,” she says. “In four weeks more or less, we’ll plan an ultrasound to confirm the embryo’s implantation and check for a heartbeat,” she adds.
Well, you’ll still get worried about that because maybe until there, your baby will not survive. But you need to remain positive. No need to start stressing about it; you promised yourself that you’ll try to remain calm the entirety of the process and pregnancy so you’ll offer a great beginning of life to your baby.
“I’m very hopeful everything will go well because both you and the donor are in good health,” she says.
“Let’s hope for that,” you answer.
You then proceed to schedule the next appointment in four weeks. You can’t hide the immense smile on your face. This is the best news you got today. Nothing else will ever be possible to ruin this day.
When you leave the clinic, you instantly call Lexi.
“I AM PREGNANT!” you scream with excitement.
“Yeeeah,” she screams as well. “I’m going to be an aunty!” she adds.
“I’m so relieved that this first attempt was successful,” you admit.
Once you get inside your car, you touch your belly to caress it.
“That baby is so lucky to have you as a mother,” she says after. “And even more lucky to join our family.”
For sure, your family will extremely love this baby. It’s such a desired baby, and everybody has been so excited.
“They’ll be so loved,” you reply.
“There’s absolutely no doubt,” she says. “Dad will be so happy about this news; he’s been so excited to become a grandpa.”
Felix has expressed lately that he couldn’t wait to welcome a baby and become a granddad. This man has raised you for twenty years, and you consider him as a second father. There’s no doubt that your baby will see him as their grandfather even if, biologically speaking, he isn’t.
When you hang up, you stare into the void for a couple of minutes. In this moment, you wish your parents would be here. They would have been so happy to become grandparents, but they won’t be by your side for this new chapter of your life.
They are also the reason why you’re doing all of this. Since they passed, there’s been a tremendous emptiness inside you that even the love of Felix couldn’t fill in. This void stems mostly from the fact that you were left alone when they were killed. You’ve been feeling so lonely since then.
Throughout your life, you tried to fill it with relationships but they all failed. As far as you can remember, you wanted to follow the traditional path to build a family. However, it never worked out. Then, one day, you saw a brochure about single mothers, and you’ve been thinking about it since then.
You’ve seen motherhood as a role that will fill this emotional void you’ve been carrying for years. Plus, you’ve also seen it as a way to finally control your life. Twenty years ago, someone decided for you what your life would become. This wasn’t fair.
And you also want to give your baby the life you never got. You want to give them a loving family that won’t disappear the second the parents die. Outside of your parents, you didn’t have a family. Based on what Felix told you, your grandparents were against your parents' relationship so they moved into another city to live freely and build a family.
Life hasn’t been fair for you, but you want to make it fair for your baby.

Two weeks later
The clinic called you this morning to urgently come in the afternoon, only making you grow concerned during the day. You kept wondering what the reason for such urgency would be. Did they notice something when they did the blood test? Did they get the wrong blood test? Are you even really pregnant?
However, you’re a hundred percent sure you’re carrying a life inside you. You haven’t had the ‘normal’ early symptoms yet, but you can feel your baby inside you. The faint heartbeat can still be heard, and there’s still that subtle scent interwoven with yours.
For the past two weeks, you’ve repeatedly inhaled this new scent, almost to make sure you weren’t hallucinating. Most of the time, you wondered if it wasn’t something like blood, sweat, or the smell of your new shampoo. It was definitely an earthly one. One that only a human can possess.
Once inside the clinic, you’re instantly installed in the doctor’s room. Your heart is crazily beating inside your chest; you’re so nervous right now. Seconds later, a man joins you in the room.
At first glance, you’d think he is the CEO of a huge company. He’s fully dressed in a black suit with a white shirt underneath, his hands casually placed in his pants pockets. This man is extremely charismatic; something about him draws you in.
The man looks at you while frowning, his eyes moving from your eyes to your belly. By reflex, you cover your stomach with your hands. He’s making you uncomfortable with his intense stare.
He has a very strong bestial scent, it predominates his cologne. Everything about him is imposing, even the way his heart beats; it’s so calm while yours is completely erratic. The man’s eyes are clued on you.
The doctor arrives right after and closes the door behind her. Her face is quite serious; she even seems concerned.
“Miss y/l/n,” she takes a seat at her desk. “Mister Jeon,” she looks at the man behind you. “Please take a seat.”
The two of you sit down next to each other with apprehension. You can hear his heart beating a little faster, but he remains extremely calm on the outside.
“There’s been a mistake,” she starts saying.
The words hang in the air, heavy with unspoken implications. The doctor pauses, giving you time to absorb the gravity of the statement. Her tone is gentle, but at the same time professional.
The sterile, cold walls of the room seem to close in around you as the doctor’s words pierce through your thoughts.
“There was a mix-up with the sample…” your breath is caught in your throat, your hands trembling. “We were supposed to inseminate you with the donor sample you selected. We still don’t know how but you got inseminated with Mister Jeon’s sample.”
Your eyes look at the man sitting next to you. All you can see in his eyes is the same disbelief that reflects your own. So, this is your child’s father.
Many questions cross your mind, but they remain unspoken, lodged in your throat.
“We truly apologize for our mistake,” she says. “We were totally aware you both wanted to have a child alone.”
You desired nothing more than being alone in this adventure; you didn’t want a present father. That was the whole point of a donor. Now, you know the father of your child, and he’d probably like to be present.
For the past months, you went through a series of questions regarding the fact that you’ll raise your child alone. They asked you many times how you’d explain to your child that they don’t have a father. This now feels like a complete waste of time.
“We understand the nature of this situation. We will refund the totality of the treatment’s costs. We can also terminate the pregnancy if you both wish.”
Those words seem so heavy and yet, they represent the reality of the choice you now have to face. A knot tightens in your stomach at the thought of undoing something you wished for so long. The baby is now growing inside of you, you’ve got used to falling asleep with their tiny heartbeat. The only thought of not having it anymore breaks your heart beyond comprehension.
Right now, everything—your carefully constructed plans, your hopes, the small life growing inside you—seems to be slipping through your fingers.
Mister Jeon is silent beside you, his hands clenched into fists on his knees. He seems as stunned as you, but you can’t help but think that there’s something else there too. Something deeper and darker.
You ignore if he’s thinking the same thing as you, but you can feel it: the strange twist of fate pulling you both into an unknown world, one you both hadn’t planned for.
“You still have some time to decide, of course,” the doctor’s voice is still very soft.
Time seems irrelevant now. There’s a choice you need to make; a choice you didn’t expect to face. You swallow hard, your heart racing inside your chest. Your hands caress your belly through your shirt while you only hear the baby’s fragile heartbeat.
This isn’t supposed to happen. This can’t be real.
Tumblr media
Jungkook’s face went pale as the doctor’s words sank in.
“There’s been a mistake,” she starts saying.
Just like you, the room’s white walls feel suffocating, the air thick with a tension he can’t shake. A mistake. His mistake. He tried to avoid this situation. He was supposed to go through surrogacy to guarantee a child that would uphold his lineage. His werewolf lineage, pure and untouched by human blood.
“There was a mix-up with the sample…” the doctor’s words hang up in the air like a death sentence. “We were supposed to inseminate you with the donor sample you selected. We still don’t know how but you got inseminated with Mister Jeon’s sample.”
His eyes quickly look at you, and he notices how much you’re shaking. It seems like you’re in a more devasted state than he is.
“We truly apologize for our mistake,” she says. “We were totally aware you both wanted to have a child alone.”
Jungkook blinks, trying to absorb what is happening. A human child. Nonetheless, his child. Having children with humans isn’t just a personal choice; it’s a fundamental rule of the werewolf society. The very foundation of his power as the king depends on the purity of his bloodline. To break the rule is to risk everything.
He knows better than anyone what happens to the werewolf-human hybrid kids together with the parents. They are killed by the pack. Being a king doesn’t make him the exception to the rule. If this pregnancy goes to full term, not only will he be killed, but the baby and the lady sitting next to him will too.
You didn’t ask for any of this. You don’t deserve to die because of a mistake.
His gaze filled with frustration and panic moves toward you once more as his pulse quickens. He wanted control over the situation. He never intended to father a hybrid child. And now, not only is he involved in this pregnancy, but the child is going to carry his blood mixed with human genetics. God only knows what can happen to this kid, genetically speaking.
“We understand the nature of this situation. We will refund the totality of the treatment costs. We can also terminate the pregnancy if you both wish.”
‘This can’t be happening’, he thinks.
His eyes move back to the doctors, his hands clenched into fists. The thought of the entire werewolf community learning of this is unbearable. And what is his mother going to think of this?
She was the first person to support him in this surrogacy journey. She knew how important it was for him to have a child as soon as possible because he’d been struggling to find someone with whom he’d mate. Having an heir is the first thing a king should do to ensure the legacy.
Now, he’s about to have a child with a human. That’s not possible. This child won’t have a pure bloodline, this child can’t ever be an heir.
“You still have some time to decide, of course,” the doctor’s voice is still very soft.
The idea of termination seems dreadful, but the possibility of a hybrid child heir seems even worse. His responsibility as king, and the traditions that have been in place for centuries don’t allow for such breach. To raise a kid with human blood would mean instant disgrace, not only for him but for his entire family. How could he even be respected after this?
His entire world is slipping through his fingers. His position as king is now in jeopardy. This baby will destabilize the entire werewolf community. Nobody will respect him and will only see him as weak. Weak for having a human child.
There’s no going back. His mind tries to find a solution to fix this, or how to undo this. The idea of raising a child with a human—no matter how much it is his responsibility—is unthinkable. He never desired this and hasn’t even considered it. He has been so focused on maintaining his bloodline that the idea of a mistake happening never crossed his mind.
Your presence beside him destabilizes him beyond comprehension. He can see the confusion in your eyes mixed with disbelief. You can’t comprehend the extension of this entire problem. You can’t even comprehend the danger of mixing bloodlines, because you aren’t a werewolf.
Jungkook stands in silence for a moment, his mind racing with thoughts. Terminating this pregnancy isn’t something he desires, but having a child with a human is simply impossible. His heart beats too crazily, and he can hear yours beating just as fast. His heart and duty are pulling him in two different directions.
Finally, his eyes meet yours. His voice is soft but it carries a heavy weight. “We need to decide. This affects both of us.”
After what felt like an eternity, you both leave the room completely shaken up by the news you just got. How could this be happening?
As you’re both walking in the clinic in the parking lot’s direction, none of you dares to speak. You’re a complete stranger to Jungkook. All he knows is that you’re a human carrying his child.
“I can’t have that child,” he finally breaks the silence.
His words cause you to stop.
“It’s too early for me to consider terminating this pregnancy,” you admit. “I need time.”
Jungkook understands your perspective. It’s not a decision you lightly take, especially if you’ve come to this clinic to have a child. It’d be completely absurd to abort after going through this entire process.
“Of course,” he says. “But I want you to know my point of view.”
You nod, understanding his perspective as well. This is such a horrible situation. Jungkook wanted to have an heir while you simply wanted to have a child on your own. On top of that, he doesn’t look like the donor you selected.
“So if I decide to keep it, would you be out?” you ask.
Jungkook considers your words. There’s a possibility that the baby could still exist, but he wouldn’t be part of their life. He’d still be losing because he wants a child, but at least this way, his position wouldn’t be jeopardized, and no one would get hurt or killed.
“It’s possible,” he honestly answers.
You nod once more. Even though he decides not to be part of his child’s life, he’d still know that he has a kid somewhere. He wouldn’t have any trouble finding you; he already knows your smell, and he has the means to find you.
“Okay,” you say.
Jungkook watches you take a pen and paper from your purse before writing something.
“This is my phone number,” you hand him the piece of paper. “In case you change your mind or take a decision.”
The man takes the piece of paper while you give him a small smile. You start walking away, his eyes following you until you disappear inside a car.
In this situation, he definitely would like to ask his mother for advice, but he can’t. He already knows the answer she’ll give him. ‘This baby can’t exist.’ And she’s right, but he can’t force you to terminate the pregnancy. It’s your body after all.
In the eventuality that you decide to proceed with the pregnancy, he guesses he’ll let you be a mother alone and pretend like this kid doesn’t exist.
Tumblr media
You’ve spent the last two days crying in bed. The conversation with the doctor and this mysterious Mister Jeon has been playing over and over in your head. You can still picture everything so clearly; the white walls of the doctor’s room, the apologies from the doctor, and Mister Jeon’s piercing gaze.
‘There’s been a mistake,’ ‘There was a mix-up with the sample,’ the words still echo in your mind.
You’ve been trying to make sense of how such a monumental mistake has happened. But nothing seems to make sense. The clinic did this; the clinic took control over your decision. This chapter of your life was about you gaining control, but once more, someone decided for you. It’s been making you angry.
You’re furious at the clinic and their negligence. You trusted them with your project of building your own family. However, they decided otherwise.
But underneath that anger, there’s another fury; one directed to yourself. You were so focused on having a child on your own terms that you didn’t stop to consider the what-ifs. You didn’t stop to consider that something might go wrong. And now, you are here.
You’ve been staring at the ceiling for hours now, your mind trying to find a solution. Do you keep this baby? Do you terminate the pregnancy?
This choice feels impossible. It feels like no matter what your life will completely change.
But deep down, you somehow feel some kind of relief. Because when Mister Jeon—this intense and charismatic man—said there was a possibility he’d walk away, that he’d leave you to raise this child alone, you felt lighter.
His potential absence is appealing. It aligns with your original choice, to be a single mother. A choice where your child is yours, and yours alone. But then, there’s also a possibility where he stays, or that he comes back later. What would happen then?
You press your hands against your face while a guttural growl leaves your lips. This is so damn frustrating. This should be simple. Because now, you’re left wondering what you want. Do you want to walk away from this and stick to the original plan? Or do you want to embrace this chaos, and see where this might lead?
Your hands slide down to your stomach, caressing it while you hear again the tiny heartbeat. This sound comforts you which makes you close your eyes.
For now, you don’t have any answers to all your questions. You’re not even sure you’ll have them tomorrow. For now, you’ll let yourself breathe. You’ll let yourself feel. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll find the answers.
The sound of your phone ringing pushes you out of your own thoughts, informing you that you received a message. You sit on your bed before grabbing the phone on the nightstand. You received a message from an unknown number. By curiosity, you unlock your phone to read it. To your surprise, it’s the famous and mysterious Mister Jeon.
From unknown: hi miss y/l/n, this is jeon jungkook, the father of your child. i’d like to meet you to discuss the matter. would you be free tonight?
Your heart hammers inside your chest, ready to burst at any second. He contacted you sooner than expected. You were thinking that you wouldn’t hear anything from him for at least a week. You thought you’d have more time to make a decision before meeting him. Now, it seems you don’t, and that you’ll have a very interesting conversation with him tonight.
With shaky hands, you start typing your answer.
To unknown: hello mister jeon, we could meet tonight
When you press ‘send’, you stare at the conversation, waiting for an answer. Mister Jeon responds instantly to your message, proposing to meet in a town square. You accept the suggestion and quickly go to your clothes cupboard to pick up an outfit.
The man seems very impressive, and you want to be presentable. He’s after all the progenitor of the life growing inside you.
A couple of hours later, you take the road to the meeting point. Surprisingly, you’ve remained calm for the entire drive. Driving is actually the only thing able to calm your tormented soul. Whenever you go through something very intense, you just drive to clear your mind.
However, since this pregnancy thing, even driving hasn’t been able to help you out. You tried to drive yesterday, but it only made things worse. So it definitely surprises you that you’ve been able to clear your mind before meeting Mister Jeon.
When you arrive, he’s already there waiting for you. He’s not wearing a suit, quite the contrary. His outfit is only made of a grey sweater with a blue pair of jeans. His hair isn’t perfectly pushed back as it was two days ago. It feels like you’re meeting a completely different person.
When he sees you, he stands up. As he does so, you notice he holds a box in his right hand. It’s a small one, but it still intrigues you.
“Good evening, miss y/l/n,” he says.
“Good evening, mister Jeon,” you say back.
His presence is still very imposing, but the fact that he isn’t wearing a suit anymore changes it a bit. He seems more approachable than he was in the clinic.
“Please call me Jungkook,” he offers you a small smile.
It’s the first time you see him smiling, and it feels like a very warm one. Beneath it all and in the midst of the city noise, you can perceive his heartbeat. It’s quite rapid which makes you tilt your head. Is he nervous?
“You can call me yn as well,” you smile back at him.
“I’ve brought you a box with some pastries,” he hands you the box. “I wasn’t sure what you’d like.”
Your smile grows wider at his simple but heartwarming gesture. This wasn’t expected, but it lightens the mood. Jungkook seems to be a nice person which contrasts with the cold and unreadable person he seemed two days ago.
“Thanks,” you say while grabbing the little box. “You didn’t need to,” your eyes look up at him.
After that, you both sit down on the bench he was on before you arrived. By the way he rubs his hands on his tights, you can tell that he’s a bit nervous. You try not to overanalyze him, because you know your mind will go crazy, full of questions.
“What is happening is really crazy,” he admits with obvious nervousness. “I never imagined things would go this way,” you nod.
Jungkook looks everywhere, except at you. It seems like he isn’t brave enough to face you, almost like a teenager confessing his love.
“As I told you two days ago, I can’t have this child,” he finally speaks. “I really would love to, but I’d put the three of us in danger.”
Your heart starts beating rapidly. What does he mean by ‘putting you in danger’? Does he come from a crazy family? Is he part of the mafia? This is scaring the hell out of you.
“We didn’t know each other up until two days ago, and you don’t deserve to be put in danger because of a stupid mistake the clinic did,” he seems angry when he mentions the mistake. “But I can’t force you to terminate the pregnancy, it’s your body, and it was also your wish to have a child. I can’t take that away from you.”
It kind of surprises you how respectful he is. Any other man in his position could have forced or paid you to put an end to this pregnancy. It’s really admirable.
“In case you want to keep going with it, I just want you to know that I’ll step away, and I will never come back to reclaim a role I refused from the beginning.”
You wonder what the reasons behind his decision could be. This man desired to have a child but is now refusing to have one with you because of a mistake.
“To be honest with you, I don’t know what to do,” you admit.
His piercing eyes finally look at you. For a split second, you can swear that they were red. Red like blood. This destabilizes you, and you furrow your eyebrows. You’re not sure if you’re being delirious or if this is real.
“I wanted to become a mother, but not like this,” you continue, still destabilized by what you just saw. “So it leaves me wondering what I should do. But if you walk away, I’ll be more tempted to keep the baby because, in the end, it’ll go as I planned.”
In an unexplainable way, this man puts you at ease. It feels like you can confess how you truly feel about this situation without being judged by him. This man exudes serenity which draws you even more to him.
“I get that,” he says.
For a brief moment, you only look at him while your heart peacefully beats in your chest. His dark eyes stare right into your soul, and it feels like the world completely stopped. There’s just the two of you. But Jungkook breaks the contact, looking in another direction.
“If you decide to keep the child and need any financial help, I can give it to you,” he speaks.
This man definitely seems like a good guy, and you wonder even more why he’s walking away from this.
“I won’t,” you answer. “I wouldn’t have done this if I didn’t have any means to take care of the baby.”
For sure you need financial stability to be a single mother, and you would have never embarked on this adventure without having it.
Jungkook runs his fingers through his fluffy hair, avoiding still your gaze. “Can I ask why you want to become a single mom?”
The question catches you off guard. You weren’t expecting this man—this stranger—to be interested in you.
“I didn’t have an easy life and I grew up without my parents,” you confess. “Motherhood was something I aspired to have in my life since I’m very young, and I’ve desired to give to my child everything I didn’t have. No matter if it was with someone or alone.”
Your eyes shift from Jungkook to the square full of people. It’s never easy to express out loud and to a complete stranger why you embarked on this adventure. Mentioning your parents is actually never easy; even after all this time.
Suddenly, you feel Jungkook’s gaze on you, but he doesn’t say anything. He just stares at you in complete silence. For once in your life, people’s heartbeats and scents don’t suffocate you. You can hear and smell them, but it’s like it doesn’t matter.
For as long as you can remember, you’ve had those developed skills. You can hear stuff from afar, and you can strongly smell people’s natural body’s scent. Since it’s kind of ‘normal’ to you, you got used to it; but sometimes, and especially when you’re in the middle of heavy crowds, it suffocates you. It becomes simply too much.
This is something you never told anyone, too scared to be judged. Undoubtedly, people would say you’ve gone crazy due to the trauma of losing your parents. Not even Felix or Lexi knows about it. They just think you’re agoraphobic.
However, lately, you’ve been trying to go to some crowded place to overcome this suffocating feeling. You ignore why you’ve been doing it, but you’ve been doing it. It’s still too much, but today, next to this complete stranger, it doesn’t feel like it.
“I’m sorry you lost your parents,” he whispers.
You turn to look at him to offer him a little smile.
“Thanks,” you mumble. “Can I also ask you why you’re doing this?” you dare to ask.
Jungkook nods before looking away once more. It definitely looks like it’s hard for him to hold your gaze.
“In my world,” he starts saying. “I have heavy responsibilities, and having a child is one of them. But I can’t have one with anybody. I’m very limited in who is the biological mother so that’s why I can’t have one with you.”
You almost feel offended by his words. In which kind of world can’t you be the mother of his child? It’s completely crazy!
“Oh,” you simply say.
“You could have been the surrogate…” you can hear some kind of chuckle. “But never the progenitor.”
“It’s seems like a tough world.”
His eyes look again at you; you can see that he seems to hesitate with the answer.
“It isn’t,” he finally says. “But it is with me.”
Obviously, he carefully chose his words.
“Well, I hope you’ll find the right mother for your child,” you offer him once more a little smile.
“Thanks,” he smiles back at you.
The two of you look back again at the people walking in the town square. They are walking around you, ignoring totally what you’re going through, what tough decision you have to make. They ignore everything about you, just as you ignore everything about them…
“I’m sorry about all of this,” he adds.
“It’s not your fault,” you answer. “It’s the clinic’s.”
Jungkook shifts uncomfortably, his gaze fixed on the people walking in front of you. His heart is racing and piercing through your ears. He’s even more nervous than he was before, and it concerns you a bit. But you don’t say anything, too afraid to scare him off if you reveal you can hear his heartbeat.
“Yn…” he starts. “There’s something you need to know,” his voice is deep and low at the same time. It’s so low that it almost drowns out by the distant chatter of people passing by.
You turn to look at him, your brow furrowing. “Okay,” you whisper.
Jungkook takes a deep breath, his jaw tightening before he exhales. His eyes don’t meet yours immediately, but when he does, there’s an intensity that makes your stomach twist.
“When I said my world is different,” he swallows with difficulty. “I don’t mean it in a metaphorical sense. My world, my reality is not the same as yours.”
You frown even more, confusion plastered all over your face. You’re definitely incredibly confused. How could his world be different than yours? You live on the same planet, and breathe the same air. How could it be not the same?
“What do you mean?”
Jungkook gets closer, his voice dropping even lower, barely audible. However, you still hear it perfectly.
“I am not entirely human, yn.”
Your breath catches in your throat, your heart skipping a beat. You stare at him while waiting for him to elaborate. However, Jungkook just stares at you, waiting for your reaction.
“What do you mean by ‘not entirely human’?” you tilt your head.
For a couple of seconds, he doesn’t speak, almost as if he’s scared to reveal his true nature to you.
“I’m a werewolf.”
The words hang in the air, heavy and impossible to ignore. It leaves you wondering if this man is of sound mind. Right now, you’re slightly concerned about his mental health, and the future of your child, if you keep them.
Your first reaction is to laugh, dismissing his words as if it is some kind of twisted joke. But the look on his face tells you that he’s deadly serious. This isn’t a joke.
“A werewolf?” you repeat to make sure you hear it well.
Jungkook nods. He looks tense and he maintains his deep glance on you.
“It’s why I can’t have this child,” he starts to explain. “In my world, bloodlines matter. Werewolf bloodlines are sacred, and the continuation of my lineage isn’t just about having a child. It’s about having the right child with the right kind of mother.”
The weight of his words crashes over you like a tidal wave. You stand up, your hands running through your hair. Your mind is spinning, and your pulse thunders in your ears. This is something you definitely weren’t expecting to hear today.
Werewolves? You’re carrying the child of a werewolf?
This sounds like it comes straight from a fantasy movie.
“This doesn’t feel real,” you whisper to yourself but Jungkook hears it.
“I didn’t want you to be dragged into this world, but you deserve the truth.”
You keep your back turned to him while you cross your arms against your chest.
“This is something you need to consider if you decide to keep the baby.”
At his words, you freeze. Instinctively, your hands down move to your stomach. Jungkook’s eyes follow your hands.
“Is this…” your voice trembles. “Is this a viable child?”
If you want to keep going with this pregnancy, you need to know if this baby can survive.
“There wouldn’t be any reason why this child wouldn’t survive because of mixed blood,” he stands up and gets close to you. “But as they grow up, they’ll develop werewolf abilities. And, one day, they’ll probably turn into one. It’s pretty unpredictable, though. There’s never been a human-werewolf hybrid before.”
Damn, this is leaving you speechless. How can this be real? Werewolves are supposed to exist in movies, not in real life.
“This is insane,” you rub your hands on your face. “This can’t be real.”
Jungkook steps closer. His presence is grounding but nonetheless overwhelming.
“How do I know you’re telling the truth?” you demand, your voice filled with panic.
Before you can blink, he gets even closer to you. He’s in front of you in an instant, his hand gently grabbing yours. Your eyes look down at his hand as you notice it changing. His fingers elongate, his nails sharpen into claws, and the texture of his skin turns into something more beastly. Slowly, your eyes look up, and what you see completely freezes your body.  His eyes glow a deep, predatory red, and there’s something undeniably wolfish about them.
You take a step back while setting your hand free. As you do so, Jungkook shifts back, his hand returns to its normal form, and his eyes fade back to a human form. The transformation is so quick that it almost feels like you imagined it.
“So what happens now?” you ask.
Jungkook’s gaze softens at your words.
“That depends on you, yn.”

I’d be insane not to love you

—————————————————————-
Happy tears streamed down your face as you watched your brother cross the finish line in Mexico. He needed this. Your whole family had flown out to the race, and you celebrated together in the garage before heading out to watch him on the podium.
This was the first race you had attended this year due to your hectic work schedule. Honestly, ever since you graduated high school you had only been able to make it to one or two races a season due to school or work. Right after graduating college, you took a job in investment banking in London. Your friends claimed you were a workaholic, but you loved being busy. You were living the big city career girl dream that you had always had.
Because of all this, watching Carlos take the win while you were there was even more special. He spun you around after the podium, and you laughed in his arms.
“My good luck charm,” he said, kissing the top of your head. “I’m glad you could come for this weekend.”
“Me too,” you said, smiling widely. You were the baby of the family, being 6 years younger than Carlos and the two of you had always had a special relationship despite the age gap. He really was your best friend.
Everyone headed back to the hotel to change and then head out for dinner. You changed out of your Ferrari jacket into a cuter outfit for dinner and then for what you assumed would happen afterward. Once you had freshened up, you headed down to the lobby, not seeing any of your family.
You looked around but only saw your brother’s friend and fellow driver, Lando, walking towards you. It had been a long time since you had been around him, and he definitely grew into himself over the years. You remembered when Carlos was at McLaren, you found him funny but very immature, so you never really gave him the time of day even though he followed you around like a lost puppy. He was a boy back then, but this was a man.
“Carlos had to head over there early to make the reservation time, so he tasked me with taking you,” he said once he reached you, with an easy-going smile.
“Wow, my Uber driver is professional? Lucky me,” you teased, and he chuckled. He hovered nervously near you, and you could tell he was deciding whether or not to give you a hug, so you made the decision for him, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “It’s good to see you Lan.”
“You too, y/n,” he replied, stepping back with a tint of pink on his cheeks. “Shall we?”
You took his arm and followed him out the door and into his car that had been pulled up. You caught up over the car ride to dinner, and he peppered you with questions about your job and living in London.
“You should hit up Max and Pietra to hang out sometime,” he said and you shrugged, looking out the window.
“There your friends Lan,” you said. “Do you think I don’t have any friends?”
“I just know that you’d like them,” he defended. “I’m sure you are friends with everyone you meet.”
You smiled at the compliment and agreed to text Pietra when you were back to grab a coffee or something. You and Lando were the last to arrive, and he beat you to the seat next to Carlos, throwing you a cheeky smile over his shoulder. You rolled your eyes but sat beside him, across from Rebecca. Dinner was full of conversation and laughter, and your heart felt full.
After everyone finished up, the group headed to a nearby club to actually start celebrating. There were tons of paparazzi at the entrance, and you fiddled anxiously with your hands. This is something you did not miss about being around your brother. Lando was sitting next to you in the car and grabbed your hand to make you stop fidgeting.
“Just stick to my side yeah?” He said, and you nodded. Pulling to the front, he got out and handed his keys off before coming to your door. You let him take your hand and move into his side, his arm holding you close as he shielded you from the flashes. You smiled appreciatively at him once you made it to the group.
“Thanks Lan,” you said and he smiled back. Your brother was watching this interaction like a hawk but you missed seeing Rebecca elbow him in the ribs to get him to stop. Grabbing her arm, you dragged her to the bar to get a drink.
“So Lando huh,” she teased and you rolled your eyes.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you hummed, refusing to look at her.
“Carlos said that he still looks at you like he did back when you were 19.”
“No he doesn’t,” you argued. “He is my brother’s best friend and that’s all.”
She gave you a small smirk, clearly not believing you, and you groaned before handing her a shot. “No more talking about him.”
An hour later you were very tipsy and jumping around dancing with your family. You were too drunk to notice that Lando had been watching you while sipping on his drink, half listening to Carlos. Carlos however, did notice.
“Are you serious mate?” He asked, and Lando’s attention snapped back to your brother, who was glaring at him. “Eye-fucking my sister in front of me?”
Lando’s face blushed a deep red. “I am not.”
Carlos raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Right. And I'm not a Formula 1 driver."
Lando sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Look, I'm sorry. I know she's your sister. I just... I can't help it. She's amazing, Carlos. She always has been"
Carlos's expression softened slightly. "I know she is. But Lando, be careful. She's not just some girl you can mess around with. She's family."
"I would never hurt her," Lando said earnestly. "You know me better than that."
Just then, you stumbled over to them, giggling. "What are you boys talking about so seriously? It's a party!"
You threw your arms around both of their shoulders, oblivious to the tension. Carlos shot Lando a warning look over your head.
"Nothing important, hermanita," Carlos said, and you turned your attention to Lando.
"Dance with me?" you asked, holding out your hand. Lando hesitated for a moment, his eyes darting to Carlos, who just rolled his eyes and stalked away towards Rebecca.
"I don't know if that's a good idea," he said, but you could see the longing in his eyes.
"Come on, Lan. It's just a dance," you insisted, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the crowd.
As you moved together to the beat, you felt the heat between your bodies intensify. His hands reached your waist, and you turned around, leaning your back into his chest. Feeling his breath hot on your neck, you turned your head up to look at him. His pupils were blown wide with desire,e but you knew he was holding back.
“You are asking for your brother to literally rip my head off,” he complained and you laughed loudly.
“Tell me you don’t want me,” you said, turning your whole body back to face him.
“You know I do,” he said huskily. Moving on your tiptoes, you pressed your lips gently against his, and you smirked against his lips as you heard your name being angrily called out.
“I’d start running now,” you told Lando as his eyes widened seeing Carlos marching towards the two of you. He gave you one last kiss before peeling off.
“Dios mio y/n,” your brother said, putting both his arms on your shoulders to shake you. “Remember what I told you when you were 18? No F1 drivers!"
“I’m not 18 anymore Carlos,” you said in a singsong voice to him. “But don’t worry, we don’t even see each other outside of you.”
“Keep it that way,” he said sternly.
The next morning you woke up hungover and embarrassed. You dug Lando’s number out of your contacts list and shot him a quick text apologizing to which he replied you can kiss me anytime ;)
—————————————————————
Life went back to normal when you got back to London with the exception of talking to Lando more. You had been casually texting, and you started to look forward to the end of your workdays to hear about his day.
After the Brazil race he had been radio silent. You had sent him a text right after, telling him to keep his head up and that he still was amazing but he had only liked the message. Honestly, you didn’t think much about his silence; you had only just reconnected, so you were very used to life without Lando Norris in it.
The following week, you had finally texted Pietra and met up with her for happy hour. It had been a long time since you had seen her, having met her through Lando all those years ago. The two of you spent hours catching up before he came up.
“Have you heard from Lando?” She asked while you were getting out your purse to pay your tab.
“Not since before the Brazil race, why?” You asked, meeting her worried eyes.
“He had mentioned that you guys had been talking more after Mexico, so I hoped he would reach out to you after Brazil.”
“Is something wrong?”
“I’m not sure,” Pietra said, biting her lip. “He hasn’t really been responding to Max and hasn’t been on any of the games. Max is worried. Could you call him or something?”
“Why me?” You asked, surprised. Pietra didn’t say anything for a minute, clearly battling with something internally.
“He’s different around you,” she finally said. “I think he might actually answer if you call.”
Her words sat with you the rest of the night, and as you were getting ready for bed, you decided to give in. You leaned against your headboard and hit the Facetime button, prepared to be declined. Right at the last ring, Lando’s face filled your screen, and your heart sank. He looked terrible. Dark circles around his eyes and messy hair. He was also lying in bed, but you could tell you hadn’t woken him up.
“Hi Lan,” you said softly.
“What’s up?” He asked, tiredness evident in his voice.
“Just calling to check in with you,” you said.
“I’m fine.” He replied shortly.
“Try again," you countered. He didn’t say anything for a couple of minutes and you waited out the silence.
“Okay, I’m not fine,” he said sighing. “I haven’t been able to sleep or eat much really.”
“Did you have dinner?” You questioned and he shook his head.
“I don’t have an appetite. I don’t want to talk about Brazil. Can you just talk to me about your week?”
You nodded and started to fill him in on everything that happened the past week and getting to catch up with Pietra. While you were talking, you put in an UberEats order to his place after getting his address from Max. He listened intently to you, making more comments as time went on, and you were happy to be a distraction.
“Are you coming to Vegas?” He asked and you shook your head.
“No, I’ll be at Qatar though.”
“Okay,” he said pouting. You could hear his doorbell ring in the background and he excused himself for a minute. When he came back, there was an unrecognizable look on his face as he picked the phone back up. “Did you order me food?”
“Mm-hmm,” you hummed, scrolling through social media on your phone. “You need to eat.”
“What’s next, going to stick Carlos on me to drag me out of my place?” He asked and you looked over at him.
“That’s not a bad idea,” you said and he groaned.
“I wish you were here,” he said quietly and you gave him a sad smile.
“Me too.”
——————————————————-
Qatar was very exciting for Ferrari, but your own celebrating was dulled because of what happened during Lando’s race. You followed Rebecca to your brother’s driver's room when he got back, and he was in mostly good spirits, but Carlos was usually positive about everything.
When the three of you were finally heading out, you ran into Oscar who was looking for Carlos. The two men talked quietly, and you were only able to pick up bits and pieces.
“…he won’t talk to anyone…could you try?”
“yeah…what hotel room is he in?”
Oscar said goodbye and you looked quizzically at Carlos.
“What’s wrong?”
“Lando is just being hard on himself as usual,” he replied casually but you could tell that it was worse than normal. The car ride to the hotel was silent, as your brother was worried about his friend. Once you go there, you started to head to your own room, but Carlos stopped you.
“Why don’t you just come with me?” He asked and you nodded, following him to the elevator.
Carlos knocked on Lando’s door, and you stood out of the way while trying to assess the situation.
“Hey man, I just wanted to check on you,” Carlos said.
“You didn’t need to, I’m fine,” Lando replied but the tremble in his voice told you otherwise. Carlos stepped to the side, and the second Lando saw you, his face crumpled.
“Oh Lan,” you murmured, closing the gap between you and wrapping your arms around him. He buried his head into your neck, letting out small sobs and you felt your heart breaking.
“It’s all my fault,” he cried and you rubbed his back soothingly.
“It’s not your fault Lan,” you whispered. “It was just unlucky. The season isn’t over.”
“It feels like it is,” he said, holding on to you tightly. Carlos mouthed that he was going to go and you nodded a goodbye before gently guiding Lando back into his hotel room, closing the door behind you. He reluctantly let go of you, wiping at his eyes with the back of his hand. You took in his disheveled appearance - he was still in his race suit, hair messy, and eyes red-rimmed from crying.
"Let's get you cleaned up, okay?" you said softly. Lando nodded, letting you lead him to the bathroom. You turned on the shower and helped him out of his race suit. Under normal circumstances, this level of intimacy might have felt awkward, but right now your only concern was taking care of him.
"I'll be right outside if you need anything," you told him. He gave you a small, grateful smile before stepping into the shower.
While Lando showered, you busied yourself tidying up the room and ordering room service. You knew he probably hadn't eaten anything, he clearly has gone straight from the debrief to here.
His phone rang, and you peeked to see that Max was calling. You answered, feeling like Lando wouldn’t mind.
“Hey Max, it’s y/n,” you greeted.
“Hey, how is he?” Max asked, concern lacing his voice.
“Not great but getting better,” you told him. “I just ordered room service and he’s getting cleaned up.”
“Good, try and get him to join me on Tarkov when he’s done, I think it might help,” he said.
“I can do that,” you replied.
“Thanks for being there y/n, you mean a lot to him,” Max said softly.
“Of course, I’ll talk to you later.”
It didn’t take much convincing to get Lando to join the stream, though he kept his camera off, which you appreciated. You sat on his bed behind him, reading a book you had gone to get from your own room. Every once in a while,e he would turn to look at you, a small smile gracing his face.
When it hit midnight you were dead tired and started to gather your things to leave.
“Can you stay?” Lando asked quietly.
You hesitated for a moment, your heart racing at his request. "Are you sure?" you asked softly.
Lando nodded, his eyes pleading. "Please. I just... I don't want to be alone right now."
You set your bag back down and gave him a small smile. "Okay, I'll stay."
Relief washed over his face as he turned back to his game. You settled back onto the bed, trying to get comfortable. After a while, Lando finally logged off and joined you on the bed, lying down next to you but keeping a respectful distance.
"Thank you," he murmured into the darkness. "For everything today."
You rolled onto your side to face him. "That's what friends are for, Lan."
He was quiet for a moment before speaking again. "Is that what we are? Just friends?"
Your breath caught in your throat at the question and his eyes bored into yours.
“I don’t know,” you answered honestly. “Are we?”
“I’d be insane to not want more with you,” he admitted.
Your heart raced at Lando's admission. You reached out tentatively, gently cupping his cheek with your hand. "Lando, I..."
He leaned into your touch, his eyes fluttering closed for a moment. When he opened them again, they were filled with hope and vulnerability, making your chest tighten.
"I want more too," you whispered. "But I'm scared. This could complicate so many things - your friendship with Carlos, my relationship with my brother, your career..."
Lando nodded, understanding in his eyes. "I know. Trust me, I've thought about all of that. But y/n, being with you... it would be worth it. You're worth it."
He inched closer to you on the bed, your faces now just inches apart. "We could take it slow," he suggested. "Figure things out together. I need you by my side.”
Instead of answering with words, you leaned in and pressed your lips to his. The kiss was soft and tender at first, but soon grew more passionate as the two of you gave in to your feelings for each other.
“You have to tell Carlos though,” you said as you pulled back and Lando rested his forehead against yours groaning.
“You’re lucky I’ve been waiting for this,” he said pouting, pulling you into his chest. You enjoyed the peacefulness of the rest of the night before the inevitable chaos would occur the next day.

Sitting in the passenger seat of Max's Aston Martin, y/n let out a thoughtful hum, directing her gaze to Max. He glanced at her, noticing the weight of her gaze on him.
"Penny for your thoughts, mijn liefde?" He spoke up, his voice softer than usual. He seemed to have noticed her thoughtfulness as her mind seemed to be racing. He knew the expression on her face all too well.
"What if they're mad..?" She then spoke, her body visibly tensing at the thought. Her shoulders slumped, making his eyes meet hers again, now filled with concern.
"Lorenzo, Arthur and Charles?" He asked, despite already knowing the answer. Of course she was talking about her brothers, she had been quite anxious to tell them about her relationship with Max, and Max knew that.
She tilted her head, her eyes full of nervousness. "Yeah," she simply said, nodding her head and biting her lips, looking out the window of the car to try to distract herself from her thoughts.
"Why would they be? You make me happy. I love you and you love me. They should be happy for us," Max calmly spoke, attempting to make her relax a bit. And he seemingly succeeded, as she slightly relaxed.
"Yeah, you're probably right," She couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomach as he said that he loved her. He had said it before, since they had been dating for multiple months at this point, but it still felt like the first time.

Summary: When you appeared and wept at his mother's funeral, Hongjoong found himself wanting to find out more about you. A regular girl, who owns a flower shop in his territory and has a relationship with the mother that he hasn't spoken to in years, why hasn't he ever noticed you before?

Word count: 3.3K
Chapter warning(s): Mentions of the boys' one night stands outside of the house, Mingi is flirty
Usually, Hongjoong would have been cooped up in his office the entire morning. The others were used to seeing him skip breakfast. So it was weird when they saw him sitting in the second floor lounge, going over papers.
"What's wrong with your office?" Seonghwa asked. Even he was curious as to why the captain was out here.
"There's nothing wrong with my office. I'm just sitting out here for a change of environment." Hongjoong wasn't the best at lying, especially to his best friend.
"Whatever you say..." Seonghwa wasn't convinced but he was hungry and wanted breakfast.
"Can you ask them to send me another coffee when you're down there?" Hongjoong asked. Seonghwa nodded and headed downstairs.
"Morning, hyung." Those that were having their breakfast in the dining room greeted the oldest.
"Morning. Send Hongjoong another coffee. Second floor lounge." He acknowledged the others then gave Hongjoong's order to the maid. She bowed and ran to the kitchen to make Hongjoong's coffee.
"How was Mingi's race last night? I didn't hear anything from him." Seonghwa asked Yunho. Yunho merely shrugged.
"I have no idea, I haven't heard from him either. But considering how he isn't in his room, I'm guessing he stayed out the whole night, probably to celebrate a win. You know those girls like to glue themselves to him." Yunho chuckled, taking a sip of his coffee. Seonghwa hummed and ate his breakfast.
"Mr Park, the physician is here. Shall I let him in?" The butler came in, informing Seonghwa with a bow.
"Yes, wake San and let him know then bring to doctor to his room directly." Seonghwa replied. The butler nodded and bowed before leaving the dining room.
"Was it that bad?" Jongho asked.
"The opponent last night clocked him bad. We just want to make sure there's nothing internal that's too serious." Yeosang informed.
"I've got to go, got a meeting with my contractor for the new casino. Have a nice day everyone." Wooyoung jumped up, grabbing his suit jacket off the chair and running out of the room.
"Wooyoung hyung's been so busy with the casino nearing completion." Jongho noted.
"From what I saw last time, it's coming together nicely though. San's still going through the investors that you put together for him. Everyone seems to want a stake, the two did a good job in securing the lot since it's in prime real estate." Seonghwa said.
"That's a good breakfast. Now it's time to go to work." Yunho stretched and stood up to take his leave.
"There's a car coming in. Open the gates." They all heard Hongjoong come down the stairs, announcing to the mansion staff. Turning their heads, they saw the captain jog past.
"What visitor does hyung have?" Yeosang asked. Seonghwa shrugged but did look at the door way curiously.
"(y/n)! You're here." Hongjoong greeted you at the door.
"Hongjoong, good morning." You bowed. Honestly, you were still trying to keep your shock and awe to a minimum upon seeing this place, it was huge.
"Your drive way is very long. Luckily I took a cab or else I would have had to walk." You chuckled.
"Ah, sorry about that. I should have told you. But anyway, I would have gone to pick you or send a car over." Hongjoong said.
"I'm just kidding. It's no worries at all." You removed your shoes. Hongjoong walked before you, leading you further into the house. The maids and butlers that crossed your paths bowed to you and Hongjoong. It was awkward for you so you just bowed back, compared to Hongjoong who just continued ahead.
"(y/n) sshi, you're our new gardener?" Yunho's eyebrows raised in surprise as he greeted you, as if this was the first time he knew that you were going to be the gardener.
"Temporarily. I overheard Hongjoong needing one so I offered my help." You explained.
"Ah, I see. I guess it's good to know our garden is in the safe hands of an expert." Yunho complimented.
"I'm not an expert but thank you for thinking so highly of me." You smiled kindly. Hongjoong cast a slightly suspicious look at you then at Yunho, then back to you.
"So, the garden is this way." Hongjoong intercepted. You hummed and followed him out the glass doors to the back garden.
"Wow... It looks even better in person." You gasped.
"All the work of the landscaper when we got here and all the other gardeners that have worked here. I'll be honest, none of us here are really good with plants. It's just nice to look at so we decided to keep it and maintain it." Hongjoong rubbed the back of his neck.
"Ah, I see. I'll take note of that." You chuckled.
"Also, if you need anything, any extra tools or equipment, go ahead and get them. We'll reimburse you, you shouldn't pay out of your own pocket." Hongjoong smiled a little.
"Thank you. I'll just survey the garden now." You bowed your head awkwardly and stepped up.
"Isn't that..." Jongho tilted his head.
"Mhmm." Yunho nodded as they all gathered there, keeping their distance but still observing you and Hongjoong in the back garden. Seonghwa remained indifferent.
"You did this... Didn't you?" Seonghwa looked up at the tallest. Yunho merely shrugged in response but his smile was enough of a reply.
"Is it okay for her to be here?" Yeosang asked. No one replied to that, Seonghwa was too busy analysing.
When you looked up from where you were observing the plants, you looked behind Hongjoong to see his 4 friends or brothers standing there, staring at the two of you. Suddenly, you became so self aware and self conscious. Hongjoong followed your line of sight and turned around to see the 4 there.
"I'm good on my own, Hongjoong. If you're needed somewhere else..." You cleared your throat. Hongjoong nodded stiffly, realising he was just standing there with nothing much to add anyway.
"If you need anything, just let me know. Or let any of the staff know." He said. You hummed and watched as he headed back in.
"What are you guys doing?" Hongjoong asked.
"I should be asking you that. Since when were you close enough to her to ask her to be our gardener?" Seonghwa raised a questioning eyebrow. Hongjoong shrugged.
"We're not close. She overheard that we needed a new gardener and volunteered to help temporarily." Hongjoong explained.
"Oh, she overheard coincidentally?" Seonghwa shot Yunho a look, who looked away innocently.
"What?" Hongjoong blinked in confusion.
"Nothing. Just... be smart about this. Inform the others about her being here. I don't want to imagine what will happen to her if she sees us drag a corpse out there or something." Seonghwa said. Everyone nodded and Seonghwa went up to his office.
"Is this why you were working outside today, hyung? Waiting for her arrival?" Jongho nudged the captain. Hongjoong shot Jongho a dirty look and pushed his arm away.
"Of course not. I just needed more breathing space. My office was getting too stuffy." Hongjoong said.
"Sure..."
"Don't you all have work to do?" Hongjoong barked.
"Alright, alright. Geez, hyung. No need to shout." Yunho winced and covered his ears. They didn't realise that you were looking at them the entire time.
"They're an odd bunch." You noted to yourself as you inspected the plants in the plots.
"So are you going to be working outside the whole day, hyung?" Yeosang asked. Hongjoong glared at them and they all scurried away.
"Listen, if she needs anything, get it for her. Drinks, snacks, whatever, you understand?" Hongjoong turned to the butler. The butler nodded and bowed respectfully as Hongjoong went back upstairs. He gathered the files and papers that he had left in the lounge and returned back to his office.
With his coffee in his hand, he pulled back the curtains behind his chair, letting in all the light from the big window. And Hongjoong's eyes immediately found you.
"She's something else." He says to himself as he sees you used your fingers to dig through the soil.
All the other girls he has come across never liked getting their hands dirty but you so enthusiastically touched the dirt with bare hands.
"These two should not be planted next to each other." You noted, looking at the herb garden that was there. You assumed that it was for those that cooked on the estate.
"No wonder you're dying." You pouted a little, talking to the plant as you touched the wilting leaf.
"Miss, please help yourself to some refreshments and snacks. If you need anything else, please do not hesitate to let us know." A butler came out with a tray of items and a small, foldable table tucked under his arm.
"Thank you! Let me help you." You rushed over to help him unfold the lawn table he had with him. He seemed surprised that you had dropped what you were doing and came over to help him.
"Oh, miss. Don't worry, I can handle it." He bowed repeatedly but you took the tray from him politely.
"It's okay." You giggled and put the tray down on the table.
"Thank you so much, miss." He bowed deeply and poured the drink from the job into the glass for you. You smiled and received the glass, taking a sip.
"Ah, wait. There is something. Do you know if anyone uses the herb garden out here?" You asked him before he left.
"I'm not sure. Let me check with the kitchen." He said and went back into the house.
"So there is a kitchen crew here." You mumbled to yourself. You sipped the cold, fruit tea that was prepared. It was very delicious and refreshing while standing out in the sun.
"Miss, I have asked and the chef said that he used to take from the herb garden but lately, the herbs have not been in very good condition and they are not as fragrant as before so he has not been havesting." The butler came out, informing you. You nodded with a hum and thanked him.
"Looks like we have to repot and add some new plants while I try to revive these other ones." You said to yourself, making a mental note.
"So, how bad is it?" A voice came behind you. You straightened up and turned around to see one of men there. You didn't recognise him or knew his name.
"Hello. Nice to meet you. It's not that bad, just need to move the plants around." You bowed respectfully.
"That's good to hear. My name is Seonghwa. (y/n), right?" He tilted his head.
"Yes. Nice to meet you, Seonghwa sshi." You awkwardly bowed again. He exuded so much confidence and power, plus he was so elegantly beautiful, you couldn't take your eyes off him.
"Thank you for helping us. Hongjoong said you volunteered to be our gardener." Seonghwa said.
"Oh, no need to thank. Any chance to work with plants in such a big garden." You shook your head. Maybe you didn't know him but there was an intimidating aura around him. Seonghwa was purposely trying to psych you out.
Just in case you had any ulterior motive in being here and getting close to Hongjoong. He didn't know that Hongjoong was the one constantly seeking you out.
"Do you need anything so far?" Seonghwa asked.
"Not at the moment. I didn't bring my tools with me but I will the next time. Hopefully to revive the herb garden." You said.
"What is Hwa doing?" Hongjoong's eyes widened when he turned to the window and saw Seonghwa standing there, talking to you. You were shifting on your feet, looking a little frightened.
"What's a pretty girl doing out here?" A deep voice appeared. Mingi stood there, a smirk on his face.
"No, Mingi ah. No." Seonghwa shook his head. Mingi obviously didn't recognise you from Hongjoong's mother's funeral.
"Selfish." Mingi scoffed but obeyed and headed into the house. Seonghwa sighed and shook his head. Having seen Mingi come, Hongjoong had raced down. Mingi was one of the ones that liked to get flirty with girls. For some reason, he didn't like the idea of Mingi trying to flirt with you.
"Was that Mingi?" Hongjoong lied and acted nonchalant, trying to hide the fact that he was panting from how fast he ran down the stairs. You blinked in confusion at his behaviour.
"Yes, why? He just got home." Seonghwa raised a questioning eyebrow.
"I... Uh, needed to ask him something... So, (y/n), how's the garden?" Hongjoong changed the subject.
"It's alright. My plan is to revive the herb garden and some stuff need to be moved around, they shouldn't be grown together. And some of them are planted in the wrong soil." You explained.
"I guess the gardener before you wasn't as good as we thought." Hongjoong joked.
"They're common mistakes, I guess." You chuckled.
"Didn't you have to find Mingi?" Seonghwa cleared his throat as he reminded Hongjoong. Hongjoong nodded stiffly, giving Seonghwa a suspicious glance.
"See you later, (y/n)." Hongjoong said. You waved as he went back into the house. Seonghwa didn't stay too long too since you just went back to what you were doing. Honestly, it was awkward to have any conversation with him so you focussed on the plants.
"Mingi ah. You don't recognise her?" Hongjoong asked. Mingi shook his head, a look of confusion on his face.
"She's the girl that was at my mother's funeral... The one that knew her..." Hongjoong reminded.
"Oh! Oh... I didn't recognise her. I've only seen her like once, hyung. I barely remember all the girls that hang with us." Mingi shrugged. Hongjoong facepalmed.
"Whatever but no flirting, okay? She's here to be our temporary gardener, that's all." Hongjoong lectured.
"Yeah, yeah, captain. I get it, she's off limits." Mingi waved him off.
"I was going to tell everyone about her being here and working in the house tonight but I guess I should tell everyone now." Hongjoong sighed and took his phone out to send a text to the group.
"And Mingi, no weapons, no blood, nothing of that sort on the days she's here." Hongjoong said.
"Yes, captain." Mingi saluted and went to the kitchen to find some food since he was a little hungover from partying all night.
"The doctor's done with San." Seonghwa came and informed Hongjoong. The captain nodded and headed upstairs with his second in command to check on their brother. Seonghwa knocked on San's door lightly before the two of them entered. San was against the headboard, with an annoyed look on his face.
"Oh, hyungs. It's the two of you. I thought it was that annoying doctor again." San rolled his eyes, reading documents on his iPad. Seonghwa shook his head.
"He was just telling you to get bed rest, San ah. Yeosang said you went down bad last night." Seonghwa said.
"I'm fine. It's just some minor injuries, it's normal. I don't need bed rest." San shrugged.
"Just listen to the doctor, San. No fighting for a bit. In the mean time, help Wooyoung out with the casino stuff." Hongjoong instructed. San was going to protest but decided against it.
"Fine." He slumped.
"At least until you've recovered. Oversee things as the owner, just don't participate." Seonghwa told him.
"Easy for you to say, hyung. You get into a motorcycle crash and still continue racing." San glared. Seonghwa's eyes widened but San knew what he was doing.
"You what?" Hongjoong asked. Seonghwa muttered a curse and shot San the stink eye before slowly turning to see Hongjoong there, with his hands on his hips and a disappointed frown on his face. San smiled victoriously, he wasn't going down on his own.
"It wasn't a major crash." Seonghwa sighed.
"Still a crash, nonetheless Hwa! How could you continued racing?" Hongjoong scolded. Seonghwa rolled his eyes and held Hongjoong's shoulder, pushing him out of the room.
"Hongjoong, don't overreact. It was a minor thing. No serious injuries." Seonghwa said.
"Still, you should tell me if you get hurt." Hongjoong said.
"I will, I will. Now please get back to work. I don't want to find you loitering in the garden." Seonghwa teased. Hongjoong squinted his eyes at Seonghwa.
"Don't even go there." He warned and walked back to his office to do work.
If Hongjoong was worried about you, he could just periodically check in on you from his office window. No, not creepy at all.
"Luckily I have my spade at least." You sighed in relief as you dug through the soil to uproot one of the plants. You felt bad for creating such a mess and getting the soil onto the pavement. But you needed to move the plants, you would have to help them clean up the pavements later when you're done.
"There you go. Welcome to your new home." You smiled as you placed the plant into the new hole you dug, shovelling the soil over the roots and lightly packing it down.
"Excuse me, where's the bathroom?" You entered the house.
"Let me take you, miss." The maid bowed and led you down one of the hallways. She opened the bathroom door for you.
"Thanks." You smiled and entered. The first thing you did was wash your hands thoroghly, not wanting to drop any dirt or soil on the ground of the house.
When you were done with the bathroom, you stepped out and almost bumped into someone.
"I'm so sorry!" You exclaimed and bowed repeatedly. The man shot you an odd look. He was covered in injuries.
"It's fine." He mumbled and walked past you, continuing on his way. Even if you didn't know him, it was concerning to see someone so badly hurt. Was he in a fight? Or did he get beaten up?
"Miss, do you need help getting back to the garden?" A maid came up to you when she saw you standing there in the hallway. You lied and nodded your head. With a small smile, she led you back to where the backyard was.
"Thanks." You smiled gratefully and went back to the area you were initially working on.
"Yunho sshi?" You blinked, seeing him stand there, looking at the hole in the soil that you had dug up previously.
"Why are you digging holes?" He asked.
"Some of the plants are in the wrong soil or shouldn't be grown next to each other so I'm trying to move them. I can't do it all today but I'll start plot by plot." You explained.
"Isn't all soil the same? It's dirt." He stated. There was such a confused look on his face as he tilted his head at you.
"A lot of people think all soil is the same, just dirt. But there are different nutrition levels, the way they retain water, all that differs from soil to soil. Even how they pack around the roots." You giggled.
"Oh... If all the soil here is the same, our gardeners before you must really suck." Yunho clicked his tongue.
"Hongjoong said the same thing earlier too but all I can say is, being a gardener isn't as easy as it seems." You shrugged.
"You're too humble, (y/n)." Yunho smiled charmingly. The two of you burst out laughing. You were unaware that Yunho sent a small wave to someone who was watching your entire interaction from his office window.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The knock at your door comes at approximately eleven o’clock at night. Runa is gone, probably somewhere with Terushima. They’ve been hanging out a lot more. When you’d asked about it the other day, she had turned red and giggled like a little girl. For a brief moment, it was cute. After that moment was over, it just made you think about how you no longer had that with Rin.
You’re sitting at the shared desk, one leg pulled up to your chest as you try to focus on your homework. Usually, you would have headphones in, but tonight you’re punishing yourself by sitting in the silence. You’re not sure why.
When the knock comes, it startles you. The pencil you’re holding nearly flies out of your hand— you’d been in The Zone. You spin around on the office chair and stare at the oak for a long time.
Another pair of knocks. “Y/n, I know you’re in there.”
You’re not sure of how you’re supposed to react to his voice. There’s a part of you that wants to get up, open the door, and kiss him again. The other part of you knows that the aforementioned part is insane.
“Can we just talk? I know you were there last night. I saw you.”
You almost scoff at him. He saw you? Did he also see the way he was flirting with that girl right in front of you? You still don’t make a move to get up. You’re not going to open the door— even if it kills you. You spin your chair back around and try to focus on your homework again.
“Y/n, I’m sorry.” Your hand stops writing. “Runa said she talked to you. She said that you understood. I’m sorry, okay? I’m sorry for fucking ignoring you, I’m sorry for kissing you back, I’m sorry for ever letting you get in that fucking car with me.” There’s a pause and then a thudding sound on the door. “Open the door, Y/n.”
You swallow hard. This is proving to be a lot harder than you thought it would be. Once again, you pick up your pencil and continue writing notes. For a long, long time, it’s quiet again. You think he’s gone until there’s a sound outside. You almost turn around, but resist.
“I’ll… I’ll call you, okay? I’m gonna call until you answer me. I’ll probably show up here again, too. I’m sorry.”
And, once again, you’re left in the silence. A punishment to yourself. You’re still not sure why. There’s that feeling again, though, festering in your stomach, spreading to each of your limbs. It makes you sick.

Joan Ramsey Falling in Love with a Witch Looks Like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joan Ramsey x Fem!Witch Reader
A/n: What can I say, I'm a sucker for "hyper-religious woman views witch as divine instead of deviant". Slight canon divergence, but hey, so is the homosexuality 😁 Reader is a teacher at Miss Robichaux's. Headcanon style. Hope y'all enjoy!
This is the slowest of all burns. Joan, of course, objects to everything about your person in the beginning, refusing to get to know you past a casual "hello." After the stunt Madison had pulled with the knife and setting their curtains on fire, you couldn't entirely blame her.
It was the little things about you specifically that caught and kept her attention. How you'd still continued to smile at her after she'd banished "your lot" from her house and Luke from the school. A small wave here and there when she was out on the front porch and you'd pass by. A handful of times she'd been struggling to get her groceries inside, and though each and every time she denied your help to either call for Luke or simply continue to struggle, you'd still offer whenever you'd catch her. Your voice was warm and kind, and you always seemed genuine, even if she believed something else entirely.
As it would happen, your bedroom window was almost directly across from hers, and, unbeknownst to you, she'd started watching you from the safety of her curtains. She adored how you would bite your lip when you concentrated on something or did a little dance and listened to music as you picked your clothing out for the day. Of course, she'd never look in your more private moments; she was simply curious about you is all, not a peeping tom...
Joan often took late-night drives, as she had never been a good sleeper. The lull of the car engine and low volume of gospel music were sometimes the only things to bring her peace enough to be able to drift off. As she arrived home one evening, she spotted you coming down the street, a rather troubled look on your face. Against her "better" judgment, she called out to you and asked if you were alright. One thing led to another, and before she realized what was happening, you were sitting at her island while she made you tea.
This was the moment Joan would later pinpoint as the "beginning" of her feelings for you. She began to smile back, and wave to you first from her seat on the porch. The next time she struggled with groceries, she'd simply handed you a few bags without a word, then made you some fresh lemonade as a thank you. Your conversations were never as deep or thoughtful as that first night (Joan thought perhaps the illusion of safety darkness brought had been the cause of it) but they were still pleasant, and something Joan could look forward to now and again.
Her watching sessions had also intensified, to nearly every evening when she could manage it.
While you did appreciate the change in her demeanor, you did notice it was only when no one else was around. If one of the girls trailed beside you, or Luke was in the front yard, she wouldn't so much as look at you, one time even purposefully getting up and going in the house when she saw it was Nan with you. It stung a bit, but you were still pleased with the progress you'd made in the months since she'd moved in.
The real turning point had been Halloween Night, when the zombies attacked the school. Luke had stopped by earlier to bring Nan some cookies, then foolishly run out thinking the dead were merely school kids playing a prank. Upon hearing his cries for help, Joan had come running, unaware of the danger she was now in.
Between Zoe's chainsaw and your pyrokenesis, you'd managed to kill off the dead undead and get Joan and Luke safely back into their home. You quietly tended to Luke's wound as Joan and Nan watched on, the former clutching her abdomen while nausea swirled in her throat. While Nan helped Luke up to his room to rest, Joan stayed behind to help you tidy up. When you'd finished, she grasped your hand in hers and looked at you with teary eyes.
"You saved my son. You... you saved me."
She threw herself into your arms and clutched you tightly, muttering into your chest about how she'd prayed her entire life for protection from dark forces, and God had answered her prayers with you.
"My angel, Heaven sent."
Joan would have you over all the time now, convinced you had been sent to her for a reason. She sat beside you on the porch and invited both you and Nan over for dinners (always keeping a watchful eye on Luke and Nan's interactions). Her favorite thing to do was pick you up for her late-night drives, she finding your presence more soothing than anything. Once again, under the cloak of darkness, you'd share your innermost thoughts with each other, growing closer and closer as the days turned cold.
Joan held steady in her faith, which could be tricky to navigate some days. She'd definitely become less rigid the more she learned about your practice and abilities, but whenever there was a chance to toss out a verse or two, she'd take it. Her smile of satisfaction was so endearing however, you couldn't bring yourself to care too much.
Church was a hard no for you. This originally was a frequent point of contention, until you sat Joan down one evening and explained, start to finish, the Witch Trials that had plagued your sisters for centuries by the Church. The pain in your voice softened her resolve greatly, and she merely kissed your forehead and promised not to ask it of you again. She valued your friendship too much to risk it, even with her faith.
"Friendship"
She wasn't so sure that properly described your relationship anymore. She'd never been so close to anyone in her life, including her late husband. She found herself wanting to be near you always, and the weight of missing you grew heavier and heavier. Somehow living next door wasn't close enough for her, and she became jealous of the school you called home.
"You can stay. If you'd like. It's... late."
It was a flimsy excuse, and she knew it. Especially since you were a two minute walk from your front door. But she was tired of missing you, tired of waiting for you to be available. She wanted you with her. Always.
Much to her delight, under the coveted cover of night where you'd both grown to feel most comfortable, you confessed you felt the same. Her sweet witch-angel, so pretty in the moonlight... she simply couldn't resist any longer. On her tip toes she stood, sealing her lips against yours in a slow and tentative kiss.
.... yes you moved in with her the following day NO we are not elaborating <3

★ ︵ @ nanami / reader , fluff , pre - relationship
you sigh, packing up all your things into the brown cardboard box that sits on the floor of your cubicle. you use packing tape to close it, only thing remaining on the table is a calendar and a desktop.
you knew you weren't going to continue working at that place after your internship, a little too intense and draining for your tastes. the corporate atmosphere wasn't really your cup of coffee, except for nanami who coincidentally was.
you were surprised though, and a little hurt. he hadn't come to give you coffee like usual but he also wasn't there to bid you farewell. you tried convincing yourself that he was probably just too busy for an intern like you.
that's when you hear a distant voice, a manager who you had the opportunity to work under, unfortunately. she was mean and obnoxious, using you like a personal slave instead of an intern. she would make you work for her personal endeavours and any refusal would have your internship threatened.
"nanami! a little late today, that's surprising for you!!" she giggles, you look over the cubicle and see her manicured nails travelling up his arm. he looked as handsome as always.
"you know, it is valentine's day today and i wanted you to have these chocolates." you look at the calendar and it was in fact, february 14th.
"oh," you hear nanami say. "im sorry, i actually have a date waiting for me." and your heart breaks a little. he holds a pretty bouquet of roses, wrapped with brown paper.
it was stupid you to think that him giving you coffee or his jacket actually meant something. he was grown, he probably liked women who knew what to do with their life.
you let a few tears slip and you wipe it away with the sleeve of your shirt. sniffling, you exit the office to head to your car.
it's evening and the soft sun basks you in warmth that feels like a mother's hug. you close the trunk and look back once to bid goodbye to your six months of hard work.
right before you get into your car, you hear someone yell your name. you turn back confused only to find yourself face to face with nanami.
"i thought you left," he pants, "thought i was too late." his usual hair-do has fallen apart, blond strands cover his forehead. his eyebrows creased, as he looks at you worry etched in his eyes.
you smile warmly at him when you see the bouquet in his hand. lucky girl, you think to yourself. the woman he has waiting at home is the luckiest person ever to exist.
"everything good, nanami?" you ask, a little worried to see him still slightly hunched trying to catch his breath.
"the elevator broke down after you left, had to use the stairs."
your eyes widen in shock, he was in the seventh floor. he had run down seven floors trying to reach you?
you quickly make him sit in your driver's seat and hand him a bottle of water. you try to calm your thoughts down as he recollects his composure.
"you shouldn't hav-" "would you like to go out with me this weekend?"
your brain stops working.
"h-huh?"
"i always thought you were pretty, and i really wanted to ask you out almost five months ago. your personality, your diligence and just the way you present yourself has me utterly entranced."
he stands up and hands you the bouquet.
"i just thought it would be quite inappropriate if i asked you while you were an intern, i did not want to abuse my position and impose on you. so, no pressure but if you would like to, i'll do my best to take you on an enjoyable date."
you are speechless, your jaw going slack.
"y-you like me?"
he smiles at you, eyes turning into crescents. a soft chuckle escapes his lips.
"quite a lot, i'm afraid."

This year, I want to be a wetter, I mean better person - Mark Webber x reader
Tumblr media
cws: age gaps (reader is in her 20s, Mark is in his 40s), perv! Mark, semi-public, squirting, dirty talk, author loves dilfs and hopes that one day dilfs will love her too
Whichever spirit possessed your parents to decide to move to the middle of nowhere, England was a hidden blessing. It may not have seemed that way when you had to endure their company for the 4 hour drive from the airport or when you knew that there was no one fuckable for miles. Not that you could get down and dirty under a family roof, whether it was somebody else's or your own. Nothing more haunting than staring down at the lone poster of Fernando Alonso from his Renaut era on your hideously painted walls while cumming. Or, more accurately faking an orgasm. So you spent a nice, festive Christmas Eve and Christmas in your new family home. Catalogued everything that went wrong in your life to land you in this position from the 26th onwards. Actually explored the town and found that at least 1 bar (as if it would have more than that not on the main street) was open on New Years.
Your parents were not party people. By 8, they had tucked in on the couch and were yawning through a holiday concert of some Dutch guy. You shimmied into the one presentable dress they had seemed to pack from your childhood home. "Conveniently," your cute clothes were in storage, and the owner was somewhere in Dubai at the moment. So you have to make do with this black piece. It's not your first choice. But at least the fact that you had grown some tits since being 18 a few years ago was comforting. You pass your parents by with a promise to not be long now. Being met with a sleepy "Don't worry, sweetheart." you know that they're going to sleep through the fireworks anyway.
To nobody's surprise, the bar isn't crowded. The raging bull is in a pathetic state. Some top 40 hits radio station is playing. The floor is sticky. The bartender looks like he's your parents' age, and it doesn't seem like he knows just what goes into your favorite Long Island iced tea. You sit down and ask him to keep pouring you rum and cokes until either he runs out or your wallet is empty. You sip his very boozy concoction slowly, as you're texting your friends. Complimenting their party fits. Asking details about potential hookups. Looking at pictures of their pets in ugly sweaters. As midnight draws near, someone else actually gets inside the bar. You look up and see a pair of green eyes and holy shit, it's a holiday miracle. It's Mark Webber. 9 time GP winner. Manager of your current favorite driver on the grid. Ultimate celebrity crush, Mark Webber. With the grace of a newborn giraffe, you slide out of your chair. You don't want him to see you, but at the same time, you need it to survive. There goes your cover of not knowing who he is. Now, the bar name makes sense. It all aligns like a jigsaw puzzle. The car themed coasters. The signed cocktail napkin framed on the wall. The only “fancy” drink on the menu being named the Aussie grit.
After you not so subtly go to the bathroom to reapply your lipstick and try to work wonders with a mascara wand, you go back to your place at the bar. Only Mark is next to you, bendy black straw into his namesake cocktail.
"Look, I don't know how much they paid you to tail me here, but I can double it." he says, and you're confused.
"You're some kind of journalist or something.” You shake your head, still too stunned that he's here, talking to you.
“Don't tell me you're just some big city girl whose boyfriend brought her to meet the parents, and now you're single because you found him groping his cousin. Because, believe me, that romcom's more of a staple than you think." He continues.
"Wow, how bad is this town that a young woman in a bar on NYE is news. My parents moved here in April. I'm visiting them for the first time. And so far, I haven't encountered any guys, much less the ones that think the best part of waking up is Folgers in their cup." You explain.
"Are your folks the couple who hate each other but are always bragging about their daughter's graduation in March?" Mark guesses, and you are once again stunned by just much this small town gets to people. Not only does a man that's starred into many of your wet dreams know your parents. No, that's not enough, he also knows they're not the perfect relationship role models. You can't help but wonder if it's hereditary and also the reason you haven't brought home a partner. Pushing that to the side, you reply to him with
"Just the ones.”
"You know your dad thinks we're best friends, and your mom keeps asking if I can hire you at Porsche or McLaren." He says and suddenly all the facetimes with your parents come back to you. The man with a very nice house who they invite over for tea sometimes. The one that's been a little under the weather lately. The one who drives a sports car to the center.
"You're motorsport Mark? Of course you are. Be grateful that you don't have any kids my age because I'd practically be your daughter in law too." You speak before you think, momentarily forgetting about the man's wife and kid. Then you wonder why he's out here with you and not back at home. You're inching to ask, but there is no way to say “are you divorced, and if yes, can I ride you into next year, please?"”. Especially after he hits you with a reminder of why that's a bad idea.
"You should be happy that your parents are proud of you, sweetheart. And that they want you to stick around with them here." He says.
"If I was, wouldn't I be about to watch the fireworks with them?" You ask.
"Still some time until that, isn't it? Wanna make it count?" He replies to your question with a question.
You agree, and there's two more Aussie Grits on the bar. The bar tender also places two laminated sheets of paper and two markers in front of you. The comic sans text on top says "New Years Resolutions" and the neat little lines give you 5 rows to write in.
"Sick of hearing us talk, aren't you?" Mark asks the other man, and the latter just grunts.
"Bet I can write mine before you finish your drink." The former driver says, clearly still a speed fiend. You shake on it, and you start chugging the strong drink. Meanwhile, he's adding chicken scratch sentences to the A4.
He beats you, and to his credit, all his resolutions are thought out and personal. You're happy to see that he's put "do more for Oscar" in there and giggle at the "post more on Instagram?". While you're still reading, he's busy gloating, making fun of you for not learning the most important thing in college - how to hold your liquor.
"What, like you could do any better. Mark, I'm surprised you're standing after the drinks you already had. I bet that I'll have to see you get locked in here till the morning for your own sake." You say, both posing a challenge and remembering the "beauty" of some more traditional British pubs. You hope that the one booth you see is at least comfortable. He doesn't back down, and you're on the clock, writing down what you want to accomplish in 2025. But your brain is buzzing from the drinks, from the way liquid is dripping down Mark's chin and onto his pants, by the fact that you're a horny drunk and the unavailable dilf next to you is too delicious to pass on. You lose, unsurprisingly. Handing over the list, you absent mindedly say
"You know I wouldn't mind your help with the last one, I'm sure you can make it happen, wink wink, nudge nudge.". You're referring to the item "attend my first grand prix," a dream of yours since getting into the sport. But apparently, in the rush, you had added a more nsfw goal under it. Because the item on your list that ended it prematurely was, in fact, "squirt for the first time.".
"You wanna double-check your work before saying things, sweetheart. " he asks, and you're mortified when you do. You start apologizing and gathering your things to leave. Mark places a strong hand on your bare thigh to stop you.
"I never said I wasn't going to do it. I'd be glad to. I'm just making sure that here and now is the place you want to bring this up." He says. Your jaw drops, and you're like a fish out of water.
"Aren't you married?" You ask. It's not the first that you thought would come out of your mouth. Yet, you have to hear him say it.
"Divorced. Technically, in the process of, but no ring. Empty house, and a cold bed. Only my left hand for relief." He says and you're picturing Mark pumping his cock in his fist. You cross your legs and clench your thighs slightly, which doesn't go unnoticed by the older man. He moves his hand and spreads them.
"And you, sweetheart? Do you have some secret boy toy to make your switch into adulthood more fun? Or a nice pretty girl like yourself that you've been shaking up with since your dorm days?" He asks.
"No. Same as you, but I use my right hand. My clit's too sensitive if I switch up my technique." You say, hellbent on making that man go crazy for you.
Mark looks around and tips a crisp 50-pound note from his wallet. You can't help but notice the little blue wrapper peeking out of the Italian leather. He calls over the bartender and asks for "2 coffees when we come back." You think the Aussie's going to take you to his car. Have you ruin his custom leather seats and make you lick up your mess as punishment? You guess he might even take you to his house, not that you have any idea where it is exactly. Ask you to hold on tight as the headboard to his once marital bed slams against the wall. Makes sure your sensitive little clit humps against the pillow as he's fucking you from behind.
But Mark drags you to the men's room instead. Spreads your legs and makes you grab the sink.
"You know I'm a man of few words. And as much as I'd love to start you off with a hands-on approach, I think you haven't earned it yet. So let's show you some videos first, huh?". He pulls out his phone and opens his Google drive. He's got a folder titled xxx and in it is maliciously organized subfolders by years.
"I can click any of them? And I'll see you making a woman squirt?" You say, impressed.
"Never met a girl whose pussy I couldn't make gush. Although I'd stick to the pre-retirement years." He says and you settle on a 2012 video. You know the later ones probably feature his ex. But this one stars a faceless blonde, all curves and moans. You squirm when Mark smacks her ass, watching it jiggle. You keep your eyes on how his tongue slides between her folds. You try to ignore how he's rolled up your dress and is just staring at your underwear. Watching it get wetter and wetter. You're too preoccupied with younger him to ask for his touch now.
The next video is a brunette, with pierced nipples and a possible disdain for Mark. That's gone when he slides into her, fingers pinching her clit. He makes her come too, and the next one and the one after that. You've seen enough. You turn and find him eye level with your cunt, long legs bent into a squat. He may be more than a decade older than in the video, but an old dog doesn't stop learning new tricks.
"Mark, I need you, please." You beg, beyond ready to be treated like one of his "little starlets" from the spank bank. You wonder if he'd film you too. Have your pussy soaking his cock in your juices as a memento of your time together.
"How do you want me, sweetheart?" He asks.
"Need you to fuck me, want to feel your cock inside of me, please." You moan out. And he's a perfect gentleman, because he promises he'll give it to you.
But first he slides his fingers to the front of your underwear and two of them are on your clit, rubbing. Maybe it's because of his height, that the length has spread even to his limbs. Maybe it's the dexterity, the sheer speed of his movements. Usually you'd prefer it starting slow, and building up. But with Mark, it was all climbing, starting at a 100 and moving towards 200 and above. Your hips are bucking against him, searching more. He slows just for a second in order to thrust two fingers inside of you.
"Look at you, already a mess. Did I get you so rilled up, sweetheart. Does this old man do it so much for you?" He asks and smiles as you can only groan and beg for more. He's not someone who draws out things, so he tells you to keep it up for him as he opens the condom package. He watches you whine that your fingers don't feel as good, that they aren't enough.
"Oh sweetheart, just you wait. You're going to be ruined." Mark says as he feeds you just the tip. He makes you take your hands off, replacing them with his. He thrusts up, matching his movements on your clit.
"It's too big, please." You say. Were you asking him for more or to stop? Your body seemed to favour the latter , because you were practically dripping on the bathroom floor. Mark uses his other hand to bring you closer to himself, his shallow thrusts pumping deeper and deeper. He's hitting that spot in your body, the one which you didn't even know existed.
"Be good and cum for me, will you, sweetheart? I don't have all night. So unless you want me to drag you out like this and fuck you on the town square under the fireworks, you better let go." Mark says. He does miss how tight you get around him when he talks like this. He continues, telling you how good you make him feel and how he can't wait to see your pretty orgasm face. That's what tips you over the edge. They're tears coming out of your eyes, you're pretty sure you're drooling and Mark's cock is indeed soaked with your juices. You can hear the obnoxious squelching of his last few thrusts, before he also comes.
He's still inside you when your alarm rings, the sound coming from your purse, long forgotten on the floor. You scramble to turn it off.
"One minute to midnight. Well, it's more like 20 seconds now." You announce. Mark takes your face in his hands (still slick with you) and kisses you gently. He doesn't have the heart to tell you that this is the first kiss he's had all year. You don't have the heart to tell him the same. All you know is that your return flight might be rebooked to a later date. You finally found something interesting to do in your parent's new town.

୨୧ ; you and riki, on a date solving murder cases gone cold? that’s going to end in another murder!
pairing! criminaljusticemajor!riki x criminologymajor!reader | wc. 0.9k | warnings: atempted humour, incorrect law and forensic terms, homicide mentions EN-
🖇️ : riki version finally!! sorry it took so long ㅜㅜ
riki has been majoring in criminal justice for some time now
you two never really talked properly, most of your conversations were trivial things like “can i borrow your pencil” or “when does this lecture end”
you never expected your first proper conversation with him to be an argument about who can solve a cold case faster
"of course i can solve it the fastest, what are you talking about, y/n?"
that just pisses you off bc who does he think he is
let's be so fr why is he so full of himself?
you had just been listening in on his conversation about a case study and you couldn't help but jump in
and riki had the audacity to mock you
"you're really going to stick with that theory? it's clearly wrong- come on, even i know that."
you were ready to bash his pretty little face in
bc your theory about the jane doe case is definitely right dafuq.
the time window, the evidence, the interview transcripts... it all fits your narrative
and the more you and riki discuss the case, the more convinced riki is that your theory MIGHT be right
of course he won't admit that though
but when you start talking about livor mortis he can't help but stare at you with hearts in his eyes
like DAMN he loves girls who recite shit like that as if it's the alphabet
one day you're just packing up your bag to leave after a lecture when riki comes over
"hey, you wanna study with me this evening? get some work done on the cold case project?"
riki's tryna be all nonchalant but he's screaming inside PLEASE SAY YES PLEASE SAY YES
you say yes.
you two meet at riki’s dorm room and tbh it’s kinda messy in there
i imagine criminology major riki to have lots of books regarding criminal law and stuff lying about everywhere and js have a lot of stuff in general
like the only place that’s not covered by some book or paper of some sort is the bed because he needs sleep (but he stays up till 5am anyways)
he probably listens to true crime podcasts all night
riki and you start get into your work right away but both of you keep getting carried away bickering
don’t worry it’s just playful banter ☺️
“i said stfu his rigor mortis had only started on the head and neck of the body but livor mortis had fully set- that's just says that someone manipulated the factors”
you’re just sitting on his bed pointing at the case file and trying to prove your point
riki’s smart but dense at the same time
you both have some genuinely concerning conversation starters
“oh yeah so this girl apparently got burned alive on a wooden pole outside a school campus!”
"do you think the car air conditioner will be cold enough to use during the winter when trying to onset rigor mortis of the body?"
"if someone dug up a already dead body murdered by someone else and re-buried it to hide it from the officials, what charges would they get?"
you guys say it so casually too like you're discussing what to have for dinner
you always thought riki was cool and had a little liking for him but working on a project together and really made the feelings more intense
sure he’s an annoying little menace who’s way too stubborn
but he’s smart. and he’s pretty.
you really are going to bash his pretty face in one day.
even when you two are not working on the project you two meet up in each other’s dorm rooms to play games, talk, etc
like you two make plans to meet up at your room to play fortnite (you carry his ass through the game)
oh but he won't admit that
i feel like riki would prefer staying in for these types of activities
you know those little packages of fake crime cases you can buy to investigate and stuff?
that's what you and riki do on friday nights except it's not a fake crime
it's all real
you guys research serial murder cases, disappearances that went cold YEARS ago, heists... the list just goes on and on
yeah but these little dates are probably going to become a homicide case itself
no bc why is riki not shutting up his narrative is so wrong
he ends up confessing to you at the end of the month after both of you submitted the most beautiful thesis on a double homicide case
you got lots of help from riki on the criminal law aspects of it and you helped him with the profiling and forensics part
"no y/n, he would be charged for perverting the course of justice, what are you on?"
“riki, stop being such a dumbass. the offender and the victim had no connection whatsoever.”
riki was so scared to confess to you, he was overthinking for days straight instead of sleeping at night
so for your first date you just have him come over to your dorm and make a murder board with you
not exactly a common first date activity but both of you have fun with red string and evidence so it’s fine
you and riki later on create your own true crime podcast except you're not just talking about the crime
you're both solving them (agggtm anyone?)
i'd like to think that you and riki's podcasts went viral and everyone gushing over you two
you and riki just make a really cute couple

Continuing the previous ficlet...
Warning for A/B/O & mpreg
"I gotta pay you back somehow," Charles chuckled into the phone instead of starting with a normal 'Hi' or 'Good morning'; Max preferred things straight to the point, Charles knew by now.
"Read the news. It worked that well, huh?" Max snorted, audibly sipping on something; he must be struggling with the no caffeine for the baby rule.
"He was," Charles bit his lip to suppress his giggle, rolling around on his king sized bed like a smitten teenager, his bruised body aching all over in the most delicious way possible, "just wonderful last night. God, he hasn't fucked me this rough since Vegas."
"Hm, you're a freak as per usual," he could hear Max's eyeroll through the phone almost. "Hope you're not planning on waltzing around today showing off a blackeye and a busted lip."
"He knows better than to leave such obvious marks. Well, for now at least." Charles traced the prints left on his pale thighs; galaxies of pink and purple from the belt and Carlos' strong hands. His lips curled into a too wide Cheshire cat grin. "No guarantee what he will do when he finds out the little surprise I have in store for him."
Max was quiet for a minute, but Charles could hear him shift and sigh, the weight of his babybump making it harder to get up from a sitting position. "Please tell me you didn't do something petty like key his car or take videos of last night with him beating the shit out of you for blackmail purposes. I can see a lot of speculations already about the belt; you better stay indoors if you don't want your soon to be husband to get publicly stoned by your fans."
Charles' hand caressed up from his thigh to his belly, rubbing gentle circles into his skin while he listened to Max. Instead of answering directly he hummed a coy question of his own.
"I really liked that little onesie you got from Checo. The baby blue one with the white stripes and cats. What brand was it?"
A pause and then Max spoke carefully, "I'm not sure I got a ton of baby clothes and stuff gifted to me in the last few weeks, I gotta check. Why?"
"Do you already know what you got? If the baby is a girl or a boy I mean."
"Charles, what are you on?" Max sounded irritated now, and Charles could hear him open up the fridge, no doubt looking for a sweet treat to make his overly hormonal mind calm down. Charles gifted him a whole freezerful of ice cream when Max first broke the news to the press; Max at first rolled his eyes at it but now he was munching on Charles' gift every day, his hips and tits growing even more plush as he entered the seventh month. "You know my stupid fucking gender reveal thing is not due until a month, you got fucking invited to it."
"I know, I know, just wondering. You can really tell the gender of the baby early these days. I admire that patience of yours." Charles traced his teeth with his tongue, unable to keep the grin from showing in his voice. "I couldn't wait to learn mine was a boy."
A clatter, a bang, and utter silence followed on the line. Charles hasn't told anyone yet, only received the news two days ago himself by his doctor doing the ultrasound. A strong healthy boy has been growing in Charles for the last twelve weeks.
"I just wanted to know, you know, that onesie was so cute I really envy the-,"
"Charles." Max cut his giggly rambling off with a strained voice, clearly trying to compose himself from the shock. "Don't tell me you-, you have to be kidding, mate."
"I told you, didn't I? One way or another, Carlos would have no other choice but me." Charles rolled out of bed and watched himself twirl in the wall length mirror. His belly was still completely flat, he was barely in the third month after all but he pushed his hips out and imagined how it will look stretching with his baby. He knew he could pull off a stylish pregnancy look, not get so soft and careless about it like Max. "He was always going to be the father of my children, and his transfer to Williams was just an unforseen bump in the road but nothing that could take his role away from me as my future husband."
"Does he-, oh my fucking God, Charles, how did you... Charles. What did you do?" Max wanted to sound stern but his voice was shaking a bit.
It was sweet of him to be concerned for his friend's career, he knew he'd be due in the middle of racing season, making him unable to compete. Max has already confirmed he'd compete in the second half of the season, basically robbing himself of another championship, but he told Charles how he didn't plan for his pregnancy at all either. He still didn't say who the father was, and Charles doubted he knew really.
Between Daniel, Checo, Fernando, Horner, and whoever else has found their way between Max's thick thighs, the babydaddy would remain a mystery, Charles mused.
Not that he was overly judgemental or Max giving up his cunt to any alpha that was into his bossy bratty omega ways, he admired it a bit actually for enjoying sex in such a carefree manner after he got enough championships under his belt that his daddy could no longer monitor his every waking move.
Besides, it meant he was in no danger of losing Carlos to him, since Max indulged in so many options. At first he was madly jealous, knowing Carlos had a very intimate history with Max, had proposed to him before too before Max's father shot the entire thing down. But Max reassured him they were just young and dumb, and Carlos left Redbull on his own volition not because Jos forbid him from ever seeing his son again.
They remained good although more distant friends, that's all. Just how Charles preferred it. So of course he'd be concerned and know that Carlos had zero clue about the baby.
"I stopped taking birth control about seven months ago, you remember? I got a doctor to sign off on it for performance's sake. So Carlos had to switch to condoms, and well-,"
"Don't tell me you fucking fished the condoms out of the bin, I swear-," Max groaned on the other line and Charles gave an offended squeak.
"Excuse you, I'd never do something so low, come on," Charles scoffed and waltzed over to his own kitchen for a sweet treat for himself, enjoying the soreness of his body with every step. "I just took a needle and pierced through the whole batch."
Max choked on the other side. He was coughing violently on his ice cream as Charles rattled on.
"I know, I know, it seems a bit much, but you know we were gonna have babies anyway, he knew I wanted some from the beginning, this is just a pleasant early surprise for him, you know? Just because he's in Williams now I can't let him think of other omegas as potential endgame, maybe even kick up our engagement." Charles scoffed opening a caramel fudge flavored tub. "Besides, you don't know how annoying it was, waiting for the birth control's effect to clear out of my system. He was giving it to me raw without knowing and I didn't get pregnant for weeks, it was fucking awful, not seeing the two lines. You never took birth control, did you? I know your dad was very strict on eliminating any performance reducing stuff."
Max was still wheezing softly, not saying a word. Charles felt a pang of irritation, thinking Max was judging him for what he has done. As if he had some moral highground, jumping from knot to knot for his satisfaction, not knowing who his babydaddy might be.
"Listen, I know you don't exactly approve, but still, we're friends aren't we? You're like my best friend, Maxy, you know I didn't do it maliciously. Carlos loves me. He will be delighted, I know. A bit mad at first, if he realizes the truth though, so please. Don't tell him, okay? This has to stay between us."
Max was quiet for a minute, then two before letting out a shaky sigh. "When will you tell him?"
"Not sure. Maybe after the wedding? But if he keeps pushing out the date I gotta tell him sooner. But I want it to be a public reveal. Make sure the fans see how happy and surprised he is; so they can see the wedding isn't happening because he knocked me up. I don't want them to think I forced his hand."
Max was silent on the other end of the line and Charles itched to know what he was thinking about. Sure, him and Carlos have been friends since childhood but their teen romance ended long ago, surely Max couldn't be jealous. He spent more time with Charles after all, barely ever interacting publicly with Carlos.
"Max, stop fucking judging me. You should be happy for me." Charles seethed on top of his kitchen counter, eyeing the clock. Carlos has been gone since before he woke up, but he should be back for dinner. He swallowed and took a gentler tone, "You know how much I wanted this. And now we'll be pushing our strollers side by side, and have little play dates with our kids together, go shopping, select kindergartens and everything. You won't be alone in raising your kid."
He hoped he didn't come across as too pitying, but still, Charles was the one between the two of them with a definite babydaddy.
"I know you've been having a tough time fitting in in Monaco since you moved here but I can help you with everything now while we're taking a break for our babies. It will be fun, I promise! It will be almost like they're siblings!"
Max was somehow even more silent on the other end of the line and Charles bit the inside of his cheek. He knew Max would come around, he just needed to settle his thoughts about the matter.
Charles felt a little insensitive; he didn't think about it until now but their wedding with Carlos would happen soon after Max's gender reveal party. And if he told the media about his own pregnancy right around the time Max gave birth, he'd overshadow him again. But maybe that was a good thing, Charles reassured himself. Max hated the headlines speculating about the father of his child.
"It will all work out, I promise. This will just strengthen our friendship and you won't even notice not having the father around, me and Carlos will be with you always! It will be so fun to raise them together and share their cute little clothes and-"
"I gotta go." Max hastily said, and Chsrles could hear the door of Max's bathroom open in the distance before he hung up.
Oh.
Charles mused to himself that maybe Max isn't as lonely as he thought. Of course all the alphas he was with would've been happy to step up as the father of his kid, but Charles didn't think Max was pulling towards anyone in particular in that regard.
Anyway, he was happy to know Max wasn't alone now. Maybe they could go out together baby clothes shopping once Max is calmer, just Charles, Carlos, Max, and his chosen alpha.
"Who was that?"
Max swallowed thickly and dropped his phone onto the counter, scoffing without answering the question, taking his ice cream as he walked back to the bedroom.
"Are you angry at me now?"
Max again didn't answer, just stood in front of the balcony and let the gentle late afternoon breeze wash over him.
A sigh behind him and then the tap-tap of wet footsteps approaching before a strong, tan, hairy pair of arms wrapped around him. Max grimaced at the feeling of cold moisture against his still warm body as he got enveloped in a gentle hug from behind.
"Not at you." Max finally sighed as he adoring kisses were pressed into the side of his neck, the stubble tickling his tender skin when his face was turned manually so he could receive some more kisses on his plump pouting mouth.
"Was that Daniel again? Or Horner? God, that pestering idiot won't let you breathe for a second." Max's robe was easily pulled down his shoulders as kisses rained down on him. They fucked three rounds already but that didn't seem enough to satisfy the alpha. "If the baby really is his, he'll make your life even more miserable."
"No." Max simply said, swallowing before putting hid treat on the bedside table.
"Yeah, I won't let him annoy you any longer-,"
"No, I mean the baby is not his." Max sighed, pushing the strong alpha body off of himself and moving back onto the bed. The alpha scoffed but followed, his mouth glued to Max's soft skin he loved so much; he's been more eager since the pregnancy started to show, instinctively attracted to the fertile omega beneath him. Max had a hard time peeling the man off of him now that he could fuck him raw as much as he wanted. Little did he know.
"You weren't so sure until now. If he does end up being-,"
"Horner is not the one walking around with busted condoms." Max snapped, eyes welling up with tears as he watched the alpha's brows furrow above him. "It's you, Carlos."

“You think if I headbutt her, she’ll wake up?” The older mumbles as she squats down, staring at Yena, who is still knocked out from a failed night of partying. Wonyoung looks at her unnie with a face that just said, ‘tf did you just say?’ “Yes, I’d like to think she’s alive and breathing enough to feel that pain, unnie,” Yujin voices as she prepares two cups of coffee and some tea for Wony.
“She just can’t be calm for one second,” Chaewon grumbles.
Yujin gave them both the run down of what happened last night, leaving out the significant details of your final words to her. “I just didn’t expect Y/n unnie to be the one to help her, even bring her here,” Wonyoung says as she takes the fresh cup of tea from Yujin’s hands, sipping on the steaming hot liquid.
“True,” Chaewon answers as she sits down softly beside Yena, who begins to stir out of sleep. Her vision felt blurry, rubbing her eyes to gain her senses as she realized she was in Yujin’s apartment. “How the hell did I get here?” Her voice was hoarse, so Yujin jogged to her fridge, handing her a cold bottle of water. “You partied too hard, and Y/n unnie brought you back to our place,” Yena looked puzzled at Wonyoung’s words. “Y/n brought me here?”
“You were so out of it, unnie. Didn’t we already talk about drinking and drugs as something that shouldn’t be combined?” At Yujin’s worried tone, Yena swiped a finger under her nose, feeling the remains of the lingering powder. They knew this wasn’t exactly the time to be lecturing her, but Chaewon’s motherly instincts kicked in, “Look, you know how we feel about you using those, but we also know you're mature enough to know when and where they can be used. You could've been in danger if Y/n didn’t step in.”
Yena groans, sitting up from her position as she chugs the rest of her water. “I know, I know. It was a mistake. I didn’t expect Hayoung to bring some, but when he did, I just went for it…” The three shake their head simultaneously. “That isn’t the best excuse right now. What if Y/n unnie didn’t find you, and you just kept drinking? Who knows what would have happened, unnie,” Wony says, careful in the way she says it.
Yena just keeps her head down, her head still pounding, and she is just overall disappointed in her choices last night. “How about you give Y/n a ‘thanks for helping me out’ gift,” Chaewon suggests, and Wonyoung nods excitedly. “She works at Evermore cafe on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, I think. You’ll probably have the best chance of catching her there.” The three now look at Wonyoung, worried about how she knew that information. “What? I like getting my tea and coffee there every day,” She pouts, sipping on her tea again as everyone giggles. “I’ll go with you if you want, unnie?” Yujin says, picking up her car keys to drop Yena off at home and get her bearings together. “We can do that,” She nods, trying to collect herself and put on her sweater that wreaked of alcohol. “God, I need a shower and a change of clothes.”
“You don’t have to tell me twice, girl,” Yujin says with a chuckle, leading her unnie out the door with her wallet, car, and house keys in hand. “What do I even get her as a ‘thank-you’ gift?” Yena asks as she sits on the passenger side, hands clasping her hair as if stressed. “How about some nice set of flowers? That would be a good start.” Yujin says, turning her car on and letting it heat up. Yena nods, agreeing to the idea.
“Why would she help me?” Yujin side eyes the older, as she was trying to focus on the road. “Maybe she just saw a girl in need of help and did it out of the kindness of her heart,” Yujin suggested, and it made Yena think. “Then I should get her some pink roses. That’s a good thank-you gift, right?” She asks, a bit stressed again, but Yujin pats her shoulder to calm her down.
“I’m sure she’ll appreciate it, unnie.” “How are you so sure?!” Yena flails her arms, quickly regretting it as she feels the pulsing headache return. “One thing I won't forget is how appreciative Y/n is. We were friends at one point, you know?” Yena’s eyes glimmer, reminded that you guys knew each other at one point.
“True!” Yena gets excited, shimmying in the passenger seat, followed by an ‘ouch’ that had Yujin giggling.

You were working an afternoon shift as usual at the cafe and were currently making a few drinks. It was a Sunday afternoon, a little before sundown, so the place wasn’t flooded with customers like every weekday. As you took your time making two drinks, you heard the door ringing, usually correlating to people entering.
“Hello, welcome to Ever—” once you looked up, you couldn’t even finish your sentence. You were stunned to see Yujin and Yena standing in the cafe. The shorter one held pink roses wrapped in pastel yellow paper and a large bouquet of white flowers in the younger’s arm. Meanwhile, Yujin held a large, nice-looking blue paper bag in her hands. “Did you guys want a drink today?” you asked nicely, knowing Yena hadn’t exactly had the best night.
“Well, some kind of herbal tea would be nice, but I wanted to give you these,” Yena said, forwarding the pink flowers across the counter. Just as a thank you for helping me last night.” You waved your hands frantically, “You didn’t have to do that, you know?” You say, but softly take it from her hands; you don’t want to seem rude. “You deserve it. None of us could’ve known what would've happened if you left me there.”
“And uhm,” Yujin spoke, looking down at the bag and flowers, feeling a tad bit nervous. “I wanted to give this to you as a sorry for Yena unnie last night, and… you know… what we talked about last night?” Her wavering voice was noticeable as her eyes met yours. She handed you the larger bouquet and put the bag down on the counter. Yena watched as you took it into your own arms, eyes trailing back to Yujin, who just gave you this look she couldn’t quite point out.
What the hell did the two of you talk about last night?
Yena just stands there, lost, as you give them both a smile, “How about I put these gifts in my locker, and I’ll make you guys your drinks? It’ll be on me for the gifts,” Yena was about to object, but you cut her off, “It’s literally the least I could do.”
You walked to the back room, unlocked your locker, and put the gift in. Knowing that you would probably forget, you decided to remind yourself to put them in water since you wouldn’t be able to for the rest of your shift. As you set the reminder, you began to think, what did the white flowers mean? You weren’t exactly a flower connoisseur to know about these things. All you knew was pink was a sign of thanks.
So you open up the internet really quickly, typing what white flowers mean in Korea. As you read what popped up, hydrangea flowers in white mean an apology. The flowers Yujin gave you specifically, white lilies, roses, and carnations, had you furrowing your brows. Most of them meant sorry and as a sign of respect, but when you read briefly about the carnations, it is said to be a symbol of true love.
Hearing the front door ring again, you couldn’t take the time to look inside the pretty paper bag, just shutting the locker and rushing to the front. “Sorry for the wait. How about I get you some roasted barley tea, Yena? Just to calm you down after everything,” Yena nods appreciatively as you look at Yujin, a brow raised at her. “Want some iced malcha?” You ask, and Yujin’s eyes grow large.
After all these years of not being friends, do you still remember that she liked green tea? Yujin only nods, and you get to work after giving the receipt while Yena looks at her member. “How the fuck did she remember that?” Yujin just shrugs, her eyes never prying off of your figure.
She watched you in your light purple apron, hair tucked into a messy bun, the claw clip struggling to keep your long black hair tamed. You kept your focus on both the drinks, not realizing her strong gaze on your figure. You couldn’t help but smile to yourself; the thought of her giving you such a symbolic gift gave you butterflies in your stomach.
Despite not being friends for so long, you were, ironically, the friend who never forgot the little things people liked, even if they were your former friends. This may not have been the exact gesture to reconcile your relationship with her, but it was for everyone's peace after all this time.
“Your malcha and tea!” You say a large smile graced your face as they picked up the cups. You see a sense of hesitance in Yujin’s stance, and you look at her, a bit confused, as she stands there awkwardly. “Anything else, Ahn?” Your question snaps her out of her trance, and she shakes her head a bit. “Nope, definitely not! Have a good day!” You stare at them, leaving, your face clearly weirded out. Yena is currently being dragged out the door, and Yujin slaps her forehead with the palm of her hand.
“Stupid, stupid, stupid,” Yujin kept mumbling as Yena’s tiny body was still behind her, trying to keep up with Yujin’s longer legs as she was being dragged to her car. “Way to give yourself a ‘watch me embarrass myself’ moment,” Yena smiles as the younger side eyes her annoyingly.
They enter the car, still holding their drinks, “Seriously though. what the fuck was that?!” “I don’t know!” Yujin practically yells. She couldn’t answer the question herself. Yujin has never been one to embarrass herself in front of someone, and you being the first person it happened to makes her want to sink into a black hole.
All she wanted to do was ask for your number, which was clearly an epic fail.
By the time they left, several people had come in, and the time passed quickly due to the lack of customers. It was now nearly nine, and you had taken all your belongings and began locking up the store. The night sky was already shining with the moon, and you felt a yawn as you placed the store key in your bag. The walk home was quick, the ten minutes being a breeze, walking into your small apartment that was around five blocks away.
You slip off your shoes and lay your items on the couch as you walk to the kitchen, immediately trying to heat up some food for yourself. Trying to get the food on the stove faster was the goal as you felt disgustingly drenched in sweat. You jog into your room, get a change of clothes, and decide to take a quick shower. Once you finished, you kept drying your hair with a towel but smelt the food. You take it all in but have a glimpse of the flowers and shopping bag that Yujin and Yena got you.
Looking around your apartment, you take the only vase you own, add some water, and unravel both bouquets to put them in, arranging them to look a bit more appealing. You then remembered you didn’t have the time to check inside the bag yet. After throwing out the papers wrapping paper, you take a seat on the couch, opening it up. You found a dark purple hoodie, an envelope, and a box.
As you took it out, you realized she had forgotten to take the tag off, and you’re taken aback. “A 150 PRICED HOODIE!” You shriek, looking at it. It seems to be from a smaller brand, and the logo on the front looks unfamiliar to you, but it is still cute. The look of a bunch of vintage-looking flowers, then a statue seemingly stitched heavily into it. You then take a look at the smaller box inside, and it was dark blue with some silver detailing on it.
You open it and gasp, finding a silver bracelet with some aquamarine gemstones around it. ‘My birthstone?’
If only you knew Yujin’s struggle to pick the right one out. Her memory definitely wasn’t as good as yours, but she was in that store, staring at every blue gemstone for an hour straight until she felt sure about your birth month. She finally remembered it was in spring and a month with several exams coming in the months after, so she finally remembered your birthday was in March.
You stared at the bracelet, its colors and shine twinkling in your eyes. Your eyes looked around, but she seemed to remember, at least, to take out the tag for this one. Your hands then rummage in the bag, trying to take out the last item, the envelope. Fingers fumbling to open it, you find a small note inside. The paper had flowers printed on its border, causing you to giggle. ‘What’s up with her and flowers today?’
You begin reading, ‘I don’t want this to be so awkward. I will admit, after all these years, you’re still a good friend. We may not be close at the moment, but I truly appreciate what you’ve done for Yena-unnie and what you told me last night.’
Not close at the moment, huh? That had a tint of blush forming on your face. Was she expecting to get close to you again? You thought it was sweet, and you were both headed in a good direction. You wanted to reminisce more, but the scent of the food seemed to be filling the air. You had to be able to eat so you could work on some music before heading to bed for another shift early in the morning.
You head to your office space, turning on the iridescent lights that glow purple and blue around the room. Your light tap on the mouse automatically turns the monitor of your computer on, showing some notes and photos that have been giving some kind of inspiration. Grabbing the notebook on your desk, you open it to a specific page that lacks writing.
Your eyes travel all over your space, finding where you last placed your guitar, and you are strumming to try and find the melody that feels right.
There was slight hope, the interaction with Yujin might’ve given you some inspiration but you were just stuck. The previous songs you created and released were quickly rising in popularity. Your subconscious was not able to keep up with the charts, and it was beginning to weigh on your mind. The pressure to release something better was gut-wrenching and made you want to throw up at the thought of it.
In two days, you were guesting on a radio station about the group's rising fame, and you couldn’t shake the anxious feeling in the pit of your stomach. The girls seemed to be okay with you going alone; they were busy with other major things in their lives at the moment.
You were generally good with public speaking and performing, but interviews felt insanely different. It was going to be a constant loop of being aware of your language and the questions being thrown at you, but you didn't want to think about it until the day of.
But thinking that was a big mistake as you sat inside the station, the two hosts sitting in front of you.
While you were just a ball of anxiety waiting to burst, Yujin listened in, hearing from Yena about the news of you being on the show.
“Good evening, people of Korea! Welcome back to the Rising Loud Show! We’re your hosts, Lee Jihyun and Kim Hyunju. We actually have a special guest today. From the group rising to fame, Abyss, we have their main vocal, bassist, composer, AND producer of the group, Cha Y/n!”
The two hosts cheer and applaud as you smile from across the table, “Thank you, it’s an honor to be here.
“Oh, ever so humble. You’ve been making waves in the band world, Y/n. I think it’s okay to boast from time to time,” the male host, Hyunju, spoke, causing the ladies to giggle. He continues, “So your group recently hit nine hundred thousand listeners on Spotify last week, and your song Love Me or Leave Me has been used on some large music shows here in Korea! How does it feel?”
“Truth be told, it is a wild roller coaster in the beginning. We got so much support from the get-go that I almost felt a bit frazzled. Now I’m just happy and a little pressured.”
“Pressured? Why is that?”
“When writing both Drowning and lmolm, the writing process came quite easy to me since they were about experiences I’ve had in life. Truthfully, those experiences aren’t many, so now, you could say I’ve hit writer's block.” Jihyun, the female host, perks up, “Well, that's some interesting information there, folks. Would you like to share some of those experiences with the world?” You laugh at the question, knowing that once you aired this out, it would be on the internet forever.
“Well, our latest release was actually about a one-sided relationship I had with a toxic ex. I felt like I was on a leash in the relationship because I was so in love, and then they talked about me behind my back, and it gave me a reality check,” you nod. Yujin, on the opposite end, listened intently, not knowing the back story behind you and Soyeon. “It sucked, but in the end, it got me to where I am today.”
“Drowning, on the other hand, is somewhat misinterpreted as a love song. It’s written in that way, but it's about an old broken friendship I had.” Yujin’s eyes softened at your words, sitting comfortably on her couch as she stared at the ceiling. “I felt bad? I say that as a question because I’m not sure. She may be listening right now.” You giggle.
“As kids, we were best friends. We did everything together, and it was such a fun relationship, but that seemed to also be the downfall of our friendship. Since we were around each other so much, people seemed to pit us against each other, and it worked until we became practically enemies. One was trying to be a thorn in the other side, and sometimes, we just wanted to piss each other off. This year, the bad blood became tiring to bear, so we made up.”
“Do you mind telling us who it is? There are a few speculations, so,” Yujin hears the host have a suspicious voice, but you state no with a chuckle, avoiding the topic quickly.
“So, new music, right? Let’s talk about it!”
“Well… there isn’t really much to say. It's still very much in the early stages of the process, and I’ll need some help with it. I may ask my members,” you say with a smile. Yujin kept listening in; she never heard you talk for such a long time in years, and the radio show made her feel like you were speaking to her while she just listened.
She loved it. Listening to you speak about your love for music, working at your job and enjoying it, speaking about other hobbies and wishes made her feel like you were her best friend all over again. It only made her think deeper. How was she gonna go about this?
Showing up to your job every day would be plain weird. She didn’t want to just make it seem like everything was back to normal because she didn’t want to come off as nonchalant. She also didn’t want to be overbearing and reach out herself.
“Why don’t you just let the world take its course?” Yujin jumps in her spot, hearing Wonyoung, who she finds sitting on the island stool and sipping some tea. “Now, why the hell would you do that to me… AND WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS DRINKING TEA?”
The younger girl shrugs, but her brow is raised, “Stop worrying about how to be close again and just let it take its course.”
“I know your right, but like I can’t help but-”
“You can’t help but overthink. I know, unnie, I know.” Wonyoung takes a seat, hearing the muffled voices from the radio show.
“Do you like her?” Yujin looks at her in surprise, “W-what? I don’t…”
Wony raises her brow, clearly not believing her, and Yujin sighs, “I’m not sure.” “Wel,l that isn't an acceptable answer,” Yujin’s brows furrowed. “What does that mean?”
“Either you like someone, or you don’t, no in between.” Wonyoung sips on her tea again as Yujin scoffs. “It’s true, though. Even an inkling of liking someone is liking someone.” Yujin lowers her head, knowing she’s right.
“I guess I do.”
“What about your love life right now?” The two of them hear the phone say out loud, one of the hosts asks, and they hear you giggle. “No one is currently in the picture, but who knows? I wouldn’t turn away love.”
“I’m not sure anyone expected you to be a romantic, Miss Cha,” the two hosts laugh as the younger girls listen more intently. “I believe love can equate to a different kind of happiness. One that completes you.” The hosts grow quiet at your words, and Wonyoung smiles, “I didn’t expect unnie to be such a heartthrob.”
“She’s always been that way,” the older smiles a bit, and the maknae stares at her. “It’s why she was loved by everyone. She always returned that same love,” she smiles and looks at the girl next to her, the younger, giving her a mischievous grin. “You're so in love with her.” “I’M NOT IN LOVE!”
“Don’t lie to yourself~”
Tumblr media
It had been a few days after your radio guest, and life had been… a bit harder than usual. You had been given many more hours to work the first few days, and you were barely able to hang out with your band. Even now, you are still struggling to write a song.
A few hours after your guest appearance, Ning Ning reached out to you, wanting to help in the process. The two of you began to write it the day after, but since then, it seems like Ning Ning has been ignoring it for some unknown reason.
Your frustrations were beginning to build up. You never wanted to be angered by Ning Ning. Everyone in your group had they’re own lives and jobs to work on. Yet you knew Ning better out of everyone.
Ning Ning came from a richer family. She didn’t need to work and had lots of spare time on her hands. It was pretty evident in the way she used to nag you about hanging out more since ‘she never had anything to do.’ You also always believed that you were an understanding friend. No matter what it was, you would’ve understood.
Your issue was that she just shouldn’t have offered if it was going to turn out this way. Your expectations were just not met.
So here you were, standing outside Ning Ning's penthouse, sighing as you rang the doorbell and heard muffled, chaotic music bleeding through the walls. The sound was loud enough to make you grit your teeth as you waited.
When the door swung open, her smile faded almost instantly, like she was caught doing something she shouldn't. "Hey, Y/n~," she started, but her voice sounded shaky, barely cutting through the pounding bass behind her.
You peered over her shoulder and immediately spotted a few faces you recognized from her Instagram posts—Ning Ning’s rich friends. You didn’t even bother hiding your irritation as your eyes settled back on her.
“Weren’t we supposed to meet up today at the studio?” Her gaze darted to the floor before she glanced nervously behind her. “I just got caught up in something at the last minute,” she said, trying to sound casual, but the lie was obvious.
“Caught up in something?!” Your voice rose before you could stop it, making her wince. “This is the sixth time you’ve flaked on me this week, Yizhuo!” You didn’t miss the way she flinched at the use of her full name.
“I didn’t mean to,” she muttered, almost too quietly to hear over the music.
“Is it because of some guy?” you snapped, cutting her off when she opened her mouth to reply.
“Oh, please,” she scoffed, rolling her eyes. “You know it’s not—”
“So it’s because of some girl.” Your eyebrows shot up as you interrupted her again. The brief flash of guilt on her face was all the confirmation you needed.
“You have got to be kidding me,” you hissed, and Ning Ning’s expression hardened as frustration crept into her features.
“Is that a crime?!” she fired back, her voice rising to match yours now.
“No, but you had the decency to say you’d help me write another song, yet here we are!” You gestured broadly toward the apartment, your voice cutting through the music like a knife. Ning Ning looked over her shoulder again, as though hoping her friends weren’t listening, but she still didn’t seem to grasp why you were upset.
“You guys aren’t my only friends,” she said defensively, her tone sharp now.
“News flash, Yizhuo!” you snapped, taking a step closer. “We aren’t just your friends. We’re supposed to be like sisters! Coworkers, even! Most of our income comes from our music. The sad reality is we’re not all fed with a silver spoon like you. Some of us actually need this to work. So maybe next time, don’t get my hopes up if you’re just going to let me down.”
Her face twisted, caught somewhere between anger and guilt. “Well, maybe you’re stuck because Yujin has your damn brain fucked into oblivion. Have you thought about that?”
Her words hit you like a slap, sharp and personal in a way you didn’t expect. Your stomach twisted at the accusation, but you refused to let her see it. “We help each other in times of need, Ning,” you said, your voice low but biting. “I’ve always been there for you. Always. And you couldn’t do this one simple thing for me.”
Ning Ning’s mouth opened like she wanted to argue, but you didn’t give her the chance. You stepped back, shaking your head. “Just fuck off, Ning.”
The look on her face stung, but not enough to make you stop. Without another word, you turned and walked away, letting the sound of the door closing behind you seal the argument.
Your chest felt heavy as you made your way down the hall, but you didn’t look back. You couldn’t.
The two of you had fought several times before but made up instantly. This moment wasn’t like the rest, and it gave you a headache.
Deciding to want to clear your mind, you make your way over to the park near her building. As you got closer and closer, you felt your phone buzzing in your pocket as if there was some crazy news. But you knew all to well that it was just Ning Ning blowing up your messages.
You make it to the park, sitting down on a nearby bench as you hear the cars pass by late at night. Pulling out your phone, you see the twenty notifications left by your best friend, but you don’t care to read them, not yet, at least. You let out a heavy sigh, stuffing the phone back into your pockets as you keep your eyes on the dark sky.
“I didn’t expect to see you here,” your body jolts up from your seat in surprise at the nearing voice, and you look to your left to find Yujin. She looked more proper than usual in a long-sleeved button with a white collar, some straight jeans, and a pair of simple white sneakers. Her hair was held up with a claw clip, and she wore her glasses. “Oh, uhm, I mean likewise,” you answer.
She tilted her head, sighing as she clutched onto the long strap of her leather satchel. “My car broke down while coming home from work, so I had to walk… this seemed to be the safer option for me to cut through.”
“Seems like we both have bad luck today,” you inquire, and Yujin stands there, a bit struck by what to do. Then she remembers Wonyoung’s words, ‘Stop worrying about how to be close again and just let it take its course.’
“Wonyoung, you smart ass,” she mumbles and sits down beside you. “Long day?” You could only scoff at her words. “Not long day, it’s been a long hour.”
“Hour? Well, that doesn’t sound too good.” Your phone buzzes again loudly, interrupting the conversation a bit. You take out your phone, showing it to Yujin as you wave it with the grasp of your two fingers. “Ning and I were supposed to start writing a song this past week, but she bailed on me six times. All because of a girl. I mean, she could’ve just told me that was the case, but instead, she kept making empty promises and giving me bullshit excuses in the end. My mom needed me home for dinner today. My cousin needed a ride out of town. I have to help my grandma tonight. The excuses just wouldn’t end.”
You pause, catching yourself rambling, and find Yujin staring at you with a sympathetic look. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to rant.”
She shakes her head, a small smile tugging at her lips. “No need to say sorry. If it makes you feel better, work was absolute shit for me today. The kids in my class had so much more energy than usual. Some ripped papers, some scribbled all over worksheets I needed to grade by the end of today, two of them kicked me in the shin on purpose, I had a meeting with snobby higher-ups, and my car broke down.”
The image she painted made you chuckle faintly despite yourself. Her smile widened at the sound, and she added, “Teaching assistant life, right?”
“Wait, you’re a teacher now?”
“Correction, teaching assistant,” she clarified, pointing a finger up as the other hand adjusted her glasses. The gesture sent you into a fit of laughter that she quickly joined in on.
“I still love my job, though,” she continued once the laughter faded, her voice soft. “Those kids will always be the highlight of my week. Other than performing, of course.”
“That does sound nice. At least you don’t have to deal with rude customers on a daily basis,” you said, the headache from earlier easing as you spoke.
“Yeah, I can’t even imagine how that is for you,” she said with an exaggerated grimace. “Remember when Bomyuk sat in your chair and told you to buzz off in the third grade? You literally grabbed the chair and yanked it so hard he fell flat on his back. I’m still amazed your temper can handle customer service.”
You couldn’t stop laughing at the memory, shaking your head. “You know he deserved that. Besides, I’ve grown from that.”
“Uh-huh,” she teased, raising an eyebrow.
The light moment was interrupted when a familiar voice cut through the conversation. “I wanna know the joke.”
Both of you turned to see Lee Seoyeon standing nearby, her smirk as irritating as you remembered.
“My day just keeps getting better and better, huh?” you muttered sarcastically. Yujin’s expression immediately darkened at the sight of her.
“Couldn’t have just kept walking, Seoyeon?” Yujin asked, her voice laced with frustration.
“Can’t I greet my dear ex-girlfriend and her ex-best friend? Just a couple of exes chatting, no?” Seoyeon’s smirk grew, her tone dripping with mockery.
“Did you just come over to piss us off?” Yujin stood, her towering figure casting a shadow over the smaller girl.
“It isn’t worth it, Yujin,” you said softly, reaching for her arm to tug her back gently.
Seoyeon ignored you, her gaze fixed on Yujin. “You should listen to my dear Y/n. She always knows better than you, always has.”
Yujin’s jaw tightened, and you could see the fury rising in her. She stepped closer, but you quickly got between them, pushing her back.
“Oh? Did I hit a nerve? The two of you look so friendly now. Guess it’s not an issue anymore,” Seoyeon said smugly, taking a step forward.
“Just leave us alone,” you snapped, your tone sharper than before.
Seoyeon feigned hurt. “Y/n, I’m offended you don’t want me around. Done following me like a sick puppy? Tired of our amazing relationship? I mean, I could still show you a good time, you know?” She stepped closer, but before you could respond, Yujin’s fist collided with her face.
“You disrespectful piece of shit!” Yujin threw another punch before you could stop her, and Seoyeon stumbled back, blood dripping from her nose.
“Enough! Enough!” you yelled, pulling Yujin away as she struggled against your grip.
“We’re in public, Yujin. I don’t need you going to prison,” you said firmly, glancing at the small crowd that had started to gather.
Yujin exhaled sharply, her anger still palpable, but she let you guide her away.
“Rot in hell, Seoyeon,” you spat over your shoulder before pulling Yujin toward your apartment.
Within minutes, you were home. You led Yujin into the living room, gesturing toward the couch. “Take off your bag and get comfy. I’ll grab some water.”
She nodded silently, sinking into the plush cushions. The cozy, rustic vibe of your apartment seemed to ease some of the tension in her shoulders. She glanced around, her gaze lingering on the lavender-scented candle burning on the coffee table.
When you returned, you knelt in front of her, setting down a bowl of cold, soapy water and soaking a rag in it. Taking her hand gently, you began cleaning the blood from her knuckles.
“You didn’t have to do that,” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper.
Yujin stiffened slightly, her jaw clenching. “You think I regret it?”
You looked up, meeting her intense gaze. “That’s not what I meant. I just… I don’t want you getting hurt because of someone like her.”
Her expression softened, and she let out a quiet sigh. “I can take care of myself, but… thanks. For looking out for me.”
You smiled faintly, brushing a thumb over her hand as you finished cleaning her wounds. “Someone has to.”
Yujin leaned back, her lips curving into a small smile. “You’re pretty good at it.”
“Well, don’t make it a habit,” you teased, standing up and placing the bowl aside.
She grabbed your wrist before you could move away, pulling you down onto the couch beside her. The warmth of her hand lingered as she spoke softly, “I’ll try not to, but only if you promise to keep being my favorite nurse.”
You rolled your eyes, but your smile betrayed you. “Deal.”
The tension from earlier seemed to dissipate entirely as you sat there, your laughter filling the room once again.

TW! Dom!spence if you squint, Smut, fluff, drinking, fingering, p in v sex, unprotected sex, anything else I missed.
Pairing: Spencer x fem!reader
A/N: here’s the second part!! I hope you guys enjoy! Give me feedback on what you guys think. Also I AM STILL TAKING requests!!!
Once the current case had been solved you all got into the black SUV’s and drove back to get onto the jet and go back to Quantico. Once everyone was on the jet you walked over to your seat and Spencer sat in front of you. You both conversed on the ride back getting deeper into each others past.
He opened up to you about his mom and how difficult it was dealing with all of that. You felt so badly for him, you wanted to give him a hug and protect him. “I’m so sorry Spencer, I can’t even imagine” you said looking over at him softly. “It’s fine, don’t feel sorry for me.”
You just looked over at him and shot him a half smile.
When the plane had landed it was 4:30. So you all went into the building, finished up some last minute paperwork, and all filed out one by one. You walked out and got into your car and drove back to your apartment.
Once you got there you went straight to your room, throwing your stuff on your bed and grabbing a change of clothes. You stepped into your bathroom stripping off your clothes and got into the shower.
Once you were out and dressed you plopped down on your couch, you grabbed your phone and checked it. It was a message in the group chat from Penelope. “Hey who wants to go out for celebratory drinks for y/n’s first solved case?” The text read, you smiled to yourself. Just then Derek texts back “hey baby girl I’m always down for that” you read it and laugh to yourself.
You text back “I’ll be there! What time and where?” Just then Spencer texted saying he would be there. You smiled knowing he’d be there.
You stand up from the couch and go look in your closet. You find a champagne colored dress that would be perfect. You quickly blow dry your hair, throw on some makeup, and get into the dress. You make sure you have your wallet and phone while stepping into a pair of black heels.
You step outside and walk 3 blocks to the bar you were to meet at. Once there you step in and see Penelope, Spencer, Derek, and Jj. You walk over to them smiling, you notice Spencer staring a little hard at you. Then Derek bumps his shoulder and says something you couldn’t hear.
Once you make it to them you greet them. Penelope pulls you into a hug and squeaks “ugh you look so hot!” You smile at her, “thanks Penelope” you say looking over at Spencer. “Doesn’t she look hot guys?” Penelope asks them. “Yeah” you hear coming from them all.
“First drink is on me!” Penelope says putting her arm around your shoulders. “What do you like?” She asks. “Uhm. I’ll have a Shirley temple” you tell her. She orders a Shirley temple for you and once it comes out you join back up with the rest.
You and Spencer sit at the table while the others are off somewhere doing their own thing. “You, uh, you look really pretty tonight y/n” he says giving you a shy half smile. “Aw thank you Spence.” You say back to him smiling. You both get into your own little conversation.
After quite a while you checked your phone and it was 11:30. “Hey I think I’m about to walk back to my apartment” you tell everyone. “Hey I’ll walk with you, I was just about to leave” Spencer says to you. “Okay” you say to him. You both walk out of the door and start heading to your apartment.
Once you reach your apartment building you look at him, “well this is me” you say pointing. He nods and leans in to give you a hug. You hug him back and pull away turning to go inside, you stop, “hey why don’t you come in and hang out?” You ask him turning back around. “Okay, sure” he says smiling and follows you inside.
Once you reach your apartment you take your keys and unlock it. You both step in, “sorry it’s not furnished totally yet” you apologize. “I don’t mind” he says smiling at you. “Do you want a glass of water” you ask him slipping out of your heels. “I’m fine but thank you” he replies.
You sit on your two seater couch and pat the seat beside you, “you can sit down spencer” you say laughing. “Okay thanks” he says awkwardly moving closer to the couch, taking a seat.
“Hey so uh there’s something I haven’t told you.” He says. “Okay” you look at him expecting it to be horrible news. “I’m only telling you this because I feel super close to you, and I don’t tell many people. A few years ago I started using Dilaudid after I got abducted on a case” he finishes. “Well I appreciate you being transparent, spencer.” You say putting your hand on his shoulder.
You both sit in silence for a few minutes, not uncomfortable silence, though. “Hey do you want to watch a movie or something?” You ask him. “Yeah sure” he says smiling at you. “Okay give me a second.” You say standing up. “Popcorn?” You ask him. “Sure” he follows you to the kitchen and helps you make the popcorn.
You both return to the couch and you grab the tv remote and let him choose a movie. He turns the movie on and takes a big handful of popcorn and shoves it in his mouth. You look over at him “ohh that was real cute” you say sarcastically laughing. He laughs with you.
About halfway through the movie there’s a spicy scene, a couple was undressing one another and their hands were roaming each others bodies. you can tell Spencer got a little uncomfortable or something because he kept moving around like he was trying to adjust.
After a few minutes of him awkwardly moving around you look over at him, “are you okay?” You ask him. “Oh uh yeah, just trying to get comfortable.” In his mind he was wondering how he got himself in a situation where he’s beside you and hard. You knew he more than likely had a hard on. Your panties had gotten a bit wet from the scene, you couldn’t lie. He finally chills out a bit so you both continue the movie.
Once it was over you turned the tv off and put the popcorn bowl on the floor, since you didn’t yet have a table. “Hey Spence. I’m going to be honest with you” you say looking over at him. He nodded his head. “I’m probably going to regret this, and I know we’ve only known each other for a few days, but I just feel a connection to you and I can’t even explain it.” You finish looking at him. He gives you a soft smile and places his hand on your shoulder.
“Y/n, I feel like I’ve known you for years. And I feel the same way about you.” He says. You both start looking over each others features, you lean in and kiss his lips. He kisses you back. You move yourself so your straddling his lap without breaking the kiss. His hands fall down to your hips and go to your back rubbing it softly.
You pull away and smile at him gently rocking yourself on him. “Y/n, you’re going to start trouble” he says giving you a daring look. You continue. “Maybe I want trouble” you say as you lean in to kiss his neck.
He shuffles his shoes off and gently picks you up, you wrapped your legs around his waist. He walks with you into your room and gently lays you on the bed. He climbs on top of you and starts kissing your neck. “Spencer i need this dress off” you say to him. He helps you up and you turn around so he can unzip it for you. You let it fall off of you exposing you in just your underwear.
You turn around and his eyes go straight to your chest. “God you’re so beautiful.” He says kissing your neck. You pull away and lay down on the bed, you raise your hips up to slip out of your lace thong. He keeps his eyes on you the entire time. He takes a slight step back and undoes his belt and takes of his pants and slips out of his shirt.
Once he’s standing in front of you in just his underwear he creeps back up to the bed and you spread your legs so he’s sitting between them. He puts his hands above your shoulders and caresses your left cheek, “you’re gorgeous y/n. I don’t want this to be just a one night stand” he speaks to you giving you puppy dog eyes.
You lean up slightly to kiss his lips, “I don’t want that either” you say laying back smiling up at him. He leans down and attacks your lips you buck your hips up to try and get some sort of contact with him. He gently guides his right hand down to your stomach and pulls away looking where his hand is going. He looks up at you for permission and you nod your head.
He brings his fingers down to your folds and finds your clit gently circling it with the pad of his thumb. “Oh spence” you moan out. “Please I need them inside of me” you finish. He gently slips his fingers into your folds and slips them inside of your aching hole. You let out an incoherent moan. It had been so long since you had been touched like this and you were starved.
He begins to pump his fingers in and out of you bending them inside of you to find that spongy part. Once he finds it you let out a whimper and a plead. He keeps assaulting it over and over and over again. “Spence I’m about to cum” you say looking down at him. Just the sight alone could’ve made you snap.
“Cum for me” he says and you cum around his fingers, your legs shaking, and your breathing uneven. “That felt so good” you say leaning up to kiss his lips. You pull away and sit up and put your hands in the waistband of his boxers. “What are you doing y/n?” He asks giving you a weird look.
“Want to make you feel good Spence.” You say looking up at him. “No, I get to do that tonight. You lay back and enjoy.” He says kissing you and gently pushing you to lay on you back. He stands up to slip his boxers off and gets down on the bed once again. He looks up at you for permission again, when you nod he takes his cock in his hand and slides it up and down your folds.
He takes your left leg and places it over his shoulder as he slides into you, bottoming out. He stays still in you for a moment before you start trying to move your hips. He begins to thrust in and out of you at a faster pace “god y/n you’re so tight” he pants out.
After a few moments you moan out “faster Spence” and he obeys speeding up. He gently leans down to kiss your lips then looks deep into your eyes as he continues to thrust in and out of you at an inhumane pace. “So close” you say. “Me too baby” he pants out.
After a few moments he puts his hand between the both of you and finds your clit to circle it. “Fuck Spencer” you moan out clenching around his cock. Once you cum he thrusts in a few more times before pulling out to cum on your stomach, ropes of his white, warm, and thick substance landing on your stomach.
“Damn that was so good y/n” he says leaning down to kiss you. He stands up and walks to the bathroom to grab a wet rag and comes back to clean you up. He throws the rag in the dirty clothes and comes back to see you laying in your spot on the bed. “Stay the night?” You look at him questioning. “Yeah uh sure” he says climbing in bed with you.
He covers up and lays on his back so you can rest your head on his chest. You both had a few conversations over the next little bit.
“Hey, so I guess now I need to take you on a date. We kind of did the whole date thing a little backwards” he says gently giggling. “That sounds nice” you say looking at him and giving him a peck on his lips. “Goodnight Spence.” You say. “Goodnight y/n” he returns.
After a while your breathing evened out which meant he could rest knowing your asleep. He gently leans up to kiss your head. And lays his head back down smiling with happiness.

Tumblr media
A frantic round of knocks at your door is not what you expect to wake you up at 3am on a random Thursday. You live in a fairly quiet area, your own apartment building safe and full of peaceful families. Most shops close around 10pm, meaning the streets are just about cleared out by 11pm. So why would anyone be at the door unless…?
Your sleep-clouded mind doesn’t even perk up enough to peek through the peephole, safety be damned. You simply swing your door open, jaw dropping when you see the bloodied figure in front of you.
“Sungchan?”
The man bites back a wince as his mouth curls into a pained smirk. “Good morning, doll.”
For a moment, you wonder if you’re still dreaming. It feels like if you pinch yourself hard enough, you’ll wake up back in your bed where you belong. But no, you’re definitely awake. The metal door handle is cold underneath your fingertips, socked feet planted firmly on the ground. This is real. You’re really at your door at 3am. Sungchan is really at your door at 3am…again.
“What are you doing here?” You question, voice still thick and sluggish from sleep.
Sungchan’s smirk deepens, a clear attempt to hide his pain. “I just wanted to see my favorite girl.”
At your unimpressed glare, Sungchan smiles sheepishly. “Okay, maybe I need some help. I didn’t really know where else to go.”
His voice trails off towards the end of his sentence, small and vulnerable in a way that you’ve never heard before. You hate the way your stomach twists in knots at the sound, wanting nothing more to reach out and comfort the man in front of you. But you can’t. You told yourself you wouldn’t. It’s just so hard to not reach out and caress his swollen face when it sits right in front of you.
After a moment of silence, you sigh, opening up your door a bit wider. “Fine. Come in.”
You watch as the man enters your apartment, shrugging off his shoes and leather jacket in the entryway. He moves like he’s familiar with the place, and you hate the fact that he actually is. He makes himself comfortable on the couch, wincing as he sits down. His posture is overly relaxed, despite the way he’s definitely in pain.
“I’ll go get the first aid kit,” you mumble, slipper clad feet shuffling down the hallway.
At this point, it has become somewhat of a routine. Sungchan would show up bloodied and bruised, either from a deal gone wrong or his temper getting the best of him. He was no stranger to fights, as most people would be in his line of work. Every time he found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, he would make his way back to you to patch up his wounds.
You don’t quite know why he always asks you to put him back together when he falls apart.
It’s not like you’re his girlfriend or anything, far from it actually. Sungchan made it very clear that he doesn’t date, but you would be lying if you said you had no interest in dating him. Since the moment you two met, you couldn’t fight your mutual attraction. One thing led to another, and then you two were hooking up under the haze of a hotboxed car.
You said it would only happen once. And you meant it, you really did. But all it took was Sungchan offering to smoke you out for free for you to end up in his car again…and again…and again. Hooking up in the car then became hooking up in your apartment, which then became patching him up in the early hours of the morning. He was a drug that you couldn’t quit, not that you wanted to.
However, you can’t deny how burdensome it is to constantly patch him up after his bad choices. He had always told you how dangerous his work was, about how being the campus plug had its drawbacks. You never believed him until he showed up for the first time with a black eye and split eyebrow from getting pistol whipped in the face. Ever since, you’ve been his favorite doctor, despite the way that it tears you up inside.
A few weeks ago, you had told him you were done. It was too much to care about his whereabouts in the dead of night and wonder if he would come to you injured and in pain. You said it was the last time you would patch him up, and that if he wanted to keep getting himself into trouble, he would have to make it someone else’s problem. Sungchan, as spiteful as he is, told you that you’d never see him again. Clearly, that resolution didn’t last long.
Sungchan is holding his side when you return with the first aid kit. You force yourself to look away from the bulge of his biceps and the form of his chest in his black tank top. Now is not the time to be admiring the man in front of you, not when he’s bloodied and clearly in pain.
You sit on the coffee table in front of him, wordlessly beginning to attend to his wounds. Sungchan takes it well for the most part, only wincing at the sting of antiseptic on his cuts or groaning when you place a little too much pressure on his bruises. It isn’t until you’re patching up his split knuckles that you notice his stare.
“What?” You ask, a little breathless when you meet his eyes.
Sungchan has always had this way of looking at people that makes them melt. Maybe it’s the big brown eyes, or the subtle intensity behind them, but it always makes people a little weak in the knees. You would’ve hoped that after almost a year of sleeping with each other that you’d be immune to it.
Clearly, you’re not.
“I can’t just look at you?” Sungchan responds, smugness coloring his words. “You’re just so beautiful.”
A flower of warmth begins to blossom in your core. “Shut up.”
“What? I’m serious.”
You roll your eyes. “No you’re not. I think you got punched a little too hard in the head this time, buddy. Save your slick talk for someone who isn’t nursing you back to health.”
“Doll, there’s no one else I’d want to use it on.”
There it is, the glaring problem with Jung Sungchan. He always runs his mouth around you, showering you with sweet talk and an illusion of loyalty. But none of it is real. He has a way of making you feel like you’re the only girl in his life, like you’re the only girl in the world. You know he doesn’t mean it, though. You’re just another girl in his rotation. As painful as that may be to admit, it’s better than believing his lies.
You simply roll your eyes at the man’s comment, placing a final bandaid over his knuckles. “There, all done.”
“Cute,” Sungchan coos. “I’m happy to see you got Snoopy ones this time.”
It had been a deal that the two of you made a while ago, back when Sungchan first started showing up all bloodied and bruised. Part of his payment for your first aid would be sporting whatever cute band aids you decided on. You always said that if he wanted to flaunt his toughness with his scars and bruises, you’d be sure to undercut it with a bit of cuteness. Since then, you’d been rotating which characters you use, from Disney princesses to Hello Kitty, always with the objective of softening Sungchan’s look as much as possible.
You’re not quite sure it’s working, since the entirety of campus still seems to quiver in fear when Sungchan strolls by. As much as Sungchan loves it, you can’t help but laugh, knowing how much of a softie the man is at heart.
“How can I pay you back this time, doll?”
The answer rolls off your tongue easily, like it always does. “You can stop getting into fights.”
Sungchan sighs, leaning forward in his seat so that you two are only mere inches apart. Like this, you can admire the pretty length of his lashes and the angelic shape of his lips. Even all banged up, Jung Sungchan is the most attractive man you’ve ever seen.
“You know I can’t do that. It’s part of the job.”
“But you could try to control your temper a bit more,” you argue. “I know that it isn’t always your fault, but it’s not like you ever shy away from a fight.”
“Because, if I let people bitch me, I’m putting myself in danger.”
“You’re putting yourself in danger right now!”
Sungchan sighs, flopping backwards onto the couch. He’s quick to let out a groan while he clutches his side, the movement clearly too much for his injured body.
“Don’t move. I’m getting you some ice.”
He’s still in the same position when you return, clutching his side while his face is twisted in pain. The sight alone makes your own body throb, as if sharing his injuries. You’ve never considered yourself to be an empath, but the way that Sungchan’s pain always feels like your own makes you want to adopt the label.
“‘Chan,” you whisper, placing the ice pack on his ribs. “You can’t keep doing this. One of these days, you’re going to end up really hurt, or worse. I want better for you.”
“You think this is what I want for myself? You think I can just up and stop this whenever I want?”
You wince at the tone of Sungchan’s voice, growing way too loud for so early in the morning.
“No, I—,”
“It’s not that fucking simple and you know that! And still, here you are bitching at me. I don’t need that, you know.”
“Sungchan, please, just—,”
“And why do you care, anyway? If I wanted a girl to be telling me what to do, I’d get a girlfriend or call my fucking mother. You’re not either, so please don’t act like you have a say in this. I don’t need that. I don’t need you to be that. Hell, I don’t need anyone to be that.”
You don’t even get to respond before Sungchan is springing to his feet, adrenaline clearly eclipsing any of his residual pain. He gathers his stuff and leaves in a hurry, not even bothering to tell you goodbye. He slams the door on his way out, leaving you with nothing but an ice pack melting in your hands.
.         .         .
Your blood freezes in your veins the next time you see Sungchan. It’s a simple Friday night party off campus, one with too much alcohol and too much weed and too many drunk college students grinding on each other. So really, you shouldn’t be surprised to see Sungchan there, especially knowing he likely supplied the weed that everyone’s smoking. But after a couple weeks of not laying eyes on him, the sight of his mouth lazily wrapped around the rim of a beer bottle is enough to stop your heart.
“What are you looking at?” Your friend Eunseok calls before following your line of sight. “Oh come on, Y/N. I thought you were done with Sungchan.”
“I am!” You hate how defensive your voice sounds, inevitably giving away your lie. “I’m just surprised to see him, is all. It’s been a while.”
Eunseok rolls his eyes. “It’s been a while for a reason. Leave him alone. Let’s get a drink or something.”
You willingly follow behind Eunseok as he tugs you through the crowded apartment. He only lets go when you reach the kitchen, shoving a solo cup full of questionable liquid into your hands. You don’t even blink before draining the contents of your cup, wincing as the liquor burns its way down your throat.
The warmth that it leaves in your stomach is barely enough to eclipse the pang of hurt that has settled in your core since the moment you set eyes on Sungchan. You know that you’ll need at least a couple more to even begin to enjoy yourself, knowing that the source of your pain is only a few feet away.
It’s how you end up four drinks deep only about an hour or so into the function, teetering on the line between tipsy and drunk. There’s a pleasant warmth flooding your face; you’re thankful it goes unnoticed due to the blush you’d applied before you came. You feel fluid, almost, body moving languidly to the music blasting throughout the apartment. It makes it easier to enjoy the party, melting into the sea of dancing bodies as you accept another drink from Eunseok.
You don’t decide that it was a bad decision until your vision begins to swim. All of a sudden, the pleasant warmth becomes an oppressive heat, forcing you to look for an escape. It’s hard enough to get yourself to focus, but eventually you find your way over to the balcony door, stumbling a few times and righting yourself with the help of the wall.
Once you actually make it onto the balcony, you can’t help but sigh in bliss. The crisp air feels delightfully soothing against your skin. A brief breeze carries a smell of the city, which isn’t the most pleasant, but it beats the combined smell of liquor, sweat, and weed that clouds the apartment.
“Thought you were too good for parties.”
The sudden voice makes you jump out of your skin. You whip around to face its owner, only to instantly regret the way your vision is slow to catch up. However, despite the drunkenness, you would know that pair of large doe eyes anywhere.
“What are you doing out here Sungchan? Go away.”
You’re sure that your voice sounds less than convincing. Sungchan seems to agree, if the way he smiles slowly and continues to approach you is anything to go by. You hate that you want him to be even closer, to close the distance between you two. But it’s not what he wants. Even your drunk brain knows that.
“I saw you stumble out here and wanted to make sure you’re okay,” Sungchan responds with a nonchalant shrug. “How many drinks did you have?”
You roll your eyes, arms crossing firmly in front of your chest. Sungchan’s eyes dart down to watch the way the position squeezes your chest together just so. He’s always been a fan of that part of you.
“Why do you care?”
Sungchan shrugs again. “Because I just care. I don’t want you to get hurt. There are some bad people out there.”
“Yeah, like you?”
“Ouch,” Sungchan feigns offense. “You wound me, babygirl.”
“You fucking deserve it.”
“Maybe I do. That doesn’t change the fact that I want to make sure you get home safe tonight.”
“I don’t need your help. I’m fine.”
You try your best to step around the tall man, only to stumble sideways into the balcony railing. At least the alcohol shields you from the pain, but it does little to quell the embarrassment. You can hear Sungchan chuckle, before an arm comes to pull you up.
“Yeah, you sure look fine to me. Come on, I’m taking you home.”
You let out a weird mix between a groan and a whine. “I’m fine. Leave me out here.”
“Nope,” Sungchan chuckles. “We’re going home now.”
Sungchan’s grip is gentle, yet insistent as he begins to drag you through the crowd. On the way out you manage to catch Eunseok’s eye, giving him a brief thumbs up while he motions for you to call him later. It’s enough for you to breathe out a sigh of relief, stumbling behind Sungchan as you struggle to keep up with his quick pace. Fuck him for having such long legs.
Eventually, you reach Sungchan’s car, a place that you’re unfortunately too familiar with. You slide into the passenger's seat as little more than a mess of limbs, causing Sungchan to chuckle. He leans over you to secure your seatbelt, close enough that the warmth of his body can be felt through the fabric of your thin crop top. Even in your drunken state, you can feel the way your heart twists at the close proximity.
The warmth is gone as quickly as it comes, though. Sungchan simply makes sure the seatbelt is secure before shutting your door, leaving you in a brief bout of cold and silence. You hate the way that you already miss him in the few seconds that it takes for him to round the car and slide into his own seat. What’s even worse is the way that you can’t suppress your dopey smile when he begins to drive. You’ve always loved being his passenger princess.
The ride back to your apartment is virtually silent, especially as you focus on not throwing up in Sungchan’s front seat. It feels like ages before you arrive, and when you do, Sungchan is instantly rounding the car to open your door and help you out. You open your mouth to refuse the hand he offers you, but the complaint instantly dies when you stumble a bit coming out of the car, falling face first into Sungchan’s chest. Wow, you must be drunker than you thought.
“Woah there,” Sungchan groans, catching you by the waist. “You have to stand up properly, babygirl.”
You simply hum, nuzzling further into the thick fabric of his hoodie, intoxicated by the mixed smell of cannabis and Dior Sauvage that always clings to him. “But you’re so warm.”
“I know, but we gotta get inside. Come on.”
It takes a moment, but Sungchan’s able to pry you away from him just enough to support underneath your arm. He all but drags you along as he enters your building and makes the ascent to your apartment. He only relaxes once he makes it into your space and deposits you soundly on your bed.
It’s hard to tell what happens next, as your eyes begin to feel heavy from the comfort of your bed. You can barely feel some pressure being relieved from your feet, accompanied by twin thumps against your carpeted floor. The world seems to go still for another moment, before you feel something cool and wet dragging across your face.
Instinctually, you flinch away, only to be shushed by a calm voice. When your eyes begin to flutter open, a pair of large brown ones are staring back at you.
“Shhh, relax, doll,” Sungchan coos. “I’m just taking off your makeup.”
You can’t tell if it’s the soft timbre of his voice, the fondness in his gaze, or the alcohol that makes your stomach swim. It’s impossible to ignore, though. A firm tingling feeling floods your body in the way it always does around Sungchan. You hate how he always has such an effect on you.
“Sungchan?” Your voice comes out as little more than a thick whisper.
“Hm?”
“Why are you doing this?”
Sungchan just shrugs, a small smile blooming on his flawless face. “You always take such good care of me. I thought it was about time that I returned the favor.”
You don’t get a chance to respond before the coolness of the makeup wipes are leaving your face, Sungchan taking a step back. He tosses them in a small trash bin before turning back to you. You feel the heaviness of sleep pulling at your eyelids once more, fighting you in a battle that you know you are bound to lose.
“Get some sleep, Y/N,” he whispers. “I’ll see you around.”
The next time you open your eyes, sunlight is streaming in through your curtains. Sungchan has left you with nothing but a splitting headache and the tacky residue of makeup remover staining your face.
.         .         .
You’re left to wonder if that stood as Sungchan’s resignation from your life. You don’t hear from him or see him for weeks, despite the fact that you know he’s still plenty active on campus. No matter where you look, though, you can’t seem to catch sight of him.
All things considered, you shouldn’t even want to. But nothing can stop the butterflies in your stomach every time you think about him, about the feeling of the makeup wipe on your face, about the soft timbre of his voice as he sent you off to sleep. It’s addictive, as everything about Jung Sungchan is. But he said it himself.
You’re not his girlfriend. He wasn’t even looking for one. You should never get your hopes up.
Your mind is running through those three sentences like a mantra late into the evening one night when a knock sounds at your door. Instantly, your stomach plummets, knowing there could only be one person on the other side.
Your suspicions are confirmed the minute you open the door to a pair of brown eyes staring down at you. In the place of what you thought would be relief lies a white hot anger. It creeps up through your core, settling thick in your esophagus. You can’t even take in Sungchan’s bruised state, too busy being absolutely furious at his audacity.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” You spit.
Sungchan tries to smirk, only to instantly bite back a wince. “I need you.”
You can’t help but scoff. “I thought you didn’t need anyone.”
“I don’t need anyone. I need you.” Sungchan’s face melts into desperation, eyes widening impossibly so. “Please, babygirl. Please help me.”
You wish you were a stronger person. You wish you were a person who could curse Sungchan out and then slam the door in his face. You wish you were a person who could say that he’d never see you again and mean it. But you’re simply you, so you do the worst thing imaginable.
You go get your first aid kit.
Sungchan is clearly in pain when you return, sprawled out across your couch with an arm covering his eyes. The beginnings of a nasty bruise peeks out where it lies high on his cheekbone, bright reds beginning to fade into deeper purples and blues. His knuckles are swollen and split like they usually are, but nothing else seems quite out of the ordinary. The injuries are far less than the usual ones that he comes to you to treat, a cloud of doubt beginning to fog up your mind.
“I can only treat the knuckles,” you state as you sit in front of him, snatching his arm from over his eyes before he can register your presence. “The bruise just needs ice and time to heal. You know that.”
Sungchan sighs. “I know.”
“Then why are you here? You could’ve bandaged your knuckles by yourself.”
“I told you,” Sungchan sighs, finally looking down to where you’re fussing over his hands. “I need you.”
“You’re so full of shit.”
The man doesn’t bother refuting your claims this time. He simply watches as you take the time to disinfect each individual knuckle. You handle his injuries with such care, the type of attention that makes Sungchan sick if he thinks about it too hard. He chokes down the thought of what could be as you pull away, finally turning behind you to grab bandages.
“Y/N, I—,” Sungchan cuts himself off, an immovable lump forming in his throat.
“What?”
Your unimpressed glare does nothing but make Sungchan chuckle, always amused by your tough exterior. It’s one of his favorite traits of yours, not that he would ever tell you that. No one is able to put Sungchan in his place like you are, especially not with a single look. Sungchan has tried endlessly to fight the way it makes his stomach swarm with butterflies.
“Never mind,” Sungchan responds after a moment. “Thank you as always.”
You only give him a simple hum of acknowledgement as you work on bandaging his final few knuckles. It’s easy to get absorbed in the intricacies of his injuries. It feels like every time you patch him up, you’re diving headfirst into an anatomy textbook, forced to confront the complexities of the human body. “The Anatomy of a Drug Dealer” has a nice ring to it.
“Sungchan,” you say softly, “why did you take care of me that night? After the party.”
The man in question just shrugs languidly. “Like I said, you always take care of me, so I wanted to take care of you.”
“But why? The last time we saw each other, you were very adamant about not wanting or needing me or my help. So why now?”
Sungchan sighs. He could say it. He could come clean right now and finally tell you everything that he’s been dying to since the day he met you. It could be simple. All he needs to do is tell the truth, and it could all be over. Instead, all he manages to produce is a rush of words.
“You scare me.”
You look at the man as if he’d grown another head, nothing but sheer confusion crossing your features. Here is the most feared man on campus, telling you that he is scared of you. Sungchan can sense how perplexed you are, immediately beginning to backtrack when he notices your expression.
“That’s not what I meant. It’s just that,” Sungchan groans, slapping a hand over his forehead, “you care for me in a way that no one ever has. You look at me and genuinely care about my wellbeing and making sure I’m safe. No one gives a shit about who or where their drugs come from, as long as it’s not overpriced. But you’ve always given more of a shit about me than the weed and that scares me. It scares me because I give a shit about you, too.”
You stare at the man in disbelief, struggling for a moment to find your words. “Sungchan, are you saying that you care about me?”
“Fuck, of course I care about you. But the way that I care about you is…”
“Scary,” you finish.
Sungchan simply nods, finally letting out a relieved sigh. He had no idea how much this fear had been weighing on him until the pressure had been lifted. But that weight is instantly replaced with something physical as you place yourself right onto his lap, looping your arms around the back of his neck. His eyes widen in minor surprise at your close proximity.
“‘Chan,” you whisper, not wanting to be too loud in the newfound closeness. “How about I cut you a deal?”
“What is it?”
You can’t help but chuckle at the man’s breathlessness, reaching down to wrap his arms around your waist. “I’ll keep caring for you, patching you up, being there for you, and a whole lot more if you start openly caring about me just as much.”
“Like a relationship?”
“Maybe we’ll get there. But for now, I just want you to be honest with me. I want you to tell me how you feel. I want you to tell me what you really want.”
Sungchan swallows thickly, allowing you to shamelessly track the bob of his throat as he does so. “I really want to kiss you right now.”
“Then kiss me.”
That seems to be all of the permission that Sungchan needs before he’s surging forward to claim your lips. He starts off surprisingly gentle, a sharp contrast from the deep, passionate kisses that usually accompany your hookups. This time, he’s kissing you like you’re something fragile and delicate, something he cares about enough to not break.
When the two of you part, it’s with a wet smack of your lips, despite the kiss not being particularly deep. But both of you are panting like you have just run a marathon, a combination of the adrenaline and the closeness making you both breathless. Sungchan’s long lashes flutter open after a moment, meeting your gaze with an intensity that you haven’t seen in weeks. For once, you don’t hate the heat that begins to bloom deep in your core.
You’re not quite sure who leans in first, but before you know it, the two of you are kissing again. This time it’s much more reminiscent of the kisses you two usually share, a deep meeting of lips and tongue as if you were to devour each other. Sungchan wastes no time in pulling you closer in his lap, taking advantage of your surprised gasp to nibble on your bottom lip.
The fabric of his jeans is rough against the thin cotton of your pajama shorts, and you’re sure Sungchan can feel your heat through the minimal layers. It doesn’t stop him from using his grip on your waist to begin to guide the movement of your hips against his. The friction is obscene, pleasured sparks shooting up your spine at the continued contact.
You throw your head back in a quiet moan as the two of you connect at the perfect spot, Sungchan’s own groan coming out as little more than a deep rumble in his chest. Sungchan begins to trail kisses up your neck and jaw, which quickly turn into harsh nips and sucks. It’s only when you glance downwards and are met with the sight of a deepening bruise on the man’s collarbone that you realize just how detrimental this could be to the man below you.
“S-Sungchan,” you stutter around a gasp. “We should stop. You’re still hurt.”
Sungchan pulls away from your neck with a wet sound that has your cheeks heating, hands keeping you firmly in his lap. “I don’t give a fuck. I want you.”
“I know, I want you too. But—,”
“But nothing,” Sungchan interrupts. “You took such good care of me, doll. Now let me take care of you.”
You think about it for a second, taking in the swollen tingle of your lips and the incessant throb in your panties. You take in Sungchan’s pleading eyes, noting the way his dark irises have been overtaken by blown pupils. You take in the bruise on his cheekbone and the split of his knuckles and think about the anatomy of his injuries. That’s what allows you to realize that you’re both just human.
“Okay,” you whisper after a moment. “Take care of me, Sungchan.”
.          .         .
No one ever talks about just how good the bittersweet pressure of being stuck between a rock and a hard place can feel. The rock can be Jung Sungchan, pressing you into a hard place, which just so happens to be the passenger’s side door of his old car.
One hand presses firmly into your waist, keeping you pinned to the car door, while the other cups your cheek. His lips are fervent against yours, ravishing yours in that heated but lazy way they always do. The taste of cigarettes is heavy in his mouth as he presses it into yours, making every bitter hint of tobacco explode on your tongue. His overwhelming height and strength make it so that you can’t move, the car door handle pressing uncomfortably into your lower back. But with the way Sungchan is kissing you, you can’t find it in yourself to care.
“Fuck,” Sungchan curses as he pulls away from your kiss. “The things you do to me, babygirl.”
You can’t help but continue to ogle his lips, swollen and spit slicked from the intensity of your kiss. The deep rasp in his voice never fails to light a fire in your veins, sending electricity shooting through your entire body. He seems to notice the effect that he has on you, smirking slightly as he takes in your disheveled state. No matter how many times he has seen you fall apart at his every touch and kiss, it never fails to boost his ego.
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay?” You ask, suddenly aware of how your voice comes out in a whine.
Sungchan chuckles, squeezing your hip. “I can’t, doll. I have to do a few more deliveries tonight.”
“And I can’t come with you?”
“I have some dangerous clients tonight,” Sungchan states with a sigh. “I don’t want you to be there if anything goes down.”
“Promise me you’ll at least be careful.”
Sungchan smiles. “Of course I will. I gotta make it back home to my girl at the end of the day.”
Warm lips leave a lingering kiss on your forehead before he finally lets you go. He climbs into his car with a wink, loud bass of his favorite song filling the air as the engine roars to life. And then he’s gone, speeding off into the early evening.
But this time, you know he’ll come back to you, and only you. He may have knuckles that will need to be iced, a split lip that needs to be disinfected, or even some bruises that need to be catered to. This time, you’ll be happy to patch them all up, knowing that the one who will be taken care of at the end of the night is you.

Teacher and student. (Story). Part 1
Tumblr media
Melisa Mendiny - teacher
This is a story about a lovely school teacher Melisa, 27 years old. And the student boy Vlad is 16 years old.
It all started with the fact that Melisa, having finished her classes, went out into the corridor. I saw that her student boy Vlad was sitting in the corridor. Sitting and sad alone near her office.
Melisa approached him and asked.
Melisa : - What's the matter, why are you sitting and feeling sad here alone.
Vlad : - I have no friends. Not at all.
Melisa felt sorry for him. And she began to spend time with him every day after class.
They talked, walked around the school, stayed together until late at school. Vlad helped Melisa with her work. She was pleased that she was no longer as sad as before.
In her heart, Melisa wanted to help this boy, and something else attracted her to him. What it was, she could not explain.
Tumblr media
After some time, they met in the city. Melisa saw Vlad alone in the park and went up to him.
Melisa : - Hello. How are you? I see you are alone again.
Vlad : - Yes. I decided to take a walk in the park.
Melisa : - Any plans for today?
Vlad : - There are no plans teacher, I'm completely free.
Melisa : - Then I invite you to my place for tea. What do you say?
Vlad: - Truth?
Melisa : - Truth.) Well, what are we going?
Vlad : - Oh sure. I am pleased to Miss Mendiny.
Tumblr media
Coming home. They talked a lot, watched movies. And at the end when the love scene of the film ended. Vlad, in a fit of emotion, confessed his love to Melisa.
And kissed her.
Soft and warm lips.
Tumblr media
Melisa smiled and said.
Melisa : - Honey, it's time for you to go home, it's getting late.
Hearing nothing in response, Vlad decided that he had done something wrong. Silently he got up and went to the door.
Tumblr media
But already on the threshold, Melissa ran up to him. And a whisper in your ear.
Melisa : - I really like you.
 And kissed him.
Vlad, inspired, ran home. Not noticing anything around you. He was in love.
Unbeknownst to themselves, this relationship grew into something more. Meliss understood that this should not be allowed. But she couldn't help it.
Later..
Vlad had a hobby, he liked to take pictures. And Melisa, earlier in her youth, posed for magazines. She worked as a model.
Tumblr media
Melisa asked him
Melisa :- What do you like to photograph?
Vlad : - Well, a little bit of everything. Nature, sunsets, sea, cars. But to be honest. My most cherished dream was to photograph girls. The girls are so beautiful, their facial features and body shapes are mesmerizing. This is my dream.
Vlad : - But they are not friends with me, so I did not have such an opportunity.
Melisa : - Would you like take a picture of me? I would love to pose for you.
Vlad : - You? Are you seriously? I would gladly be, teacher. It's so cool.
Melisa : - I have a basement at home, it is spacious and bright. It's perfect for this. We could try there. What do you say?
Tumblr media
Vlad : - I'm happy to miss Mendiny. Have you posed before?
Melisa : - When I was 19 I worked as a model for a magazine. So I can help you with that.
Vlad : - Cool. Thank you. And when will we start.
Melisa : - Let's go tomorrow night after school. Come see me at seven.
Vlad : - Good. I will definitely be.
Next Day
Vlad arrived at the appointed time. Melisa rang the doorbell and opened it for him. She was wearing a beautiful beige dress with a sheer top. Her breasts were slightly covered with an interesting pattern.
Melisa : - Hi baby. Come on, I've been waiting for you. How did you get there?
Vlad : - Ok, thank you. You look wonderful.
Melisa : - Thanks, darling. You know, let's do our photoset here today. I'm so eager to start.
Tumblr media
Vlad : - Me too. Let's start. Stand next to the sofa.
Melisa : - Like this ?
Vlad : - Yes. Excellent.
Vlad : - It's such a thrill. Thank you teacher. You have fulfilled my dream.💗
Melisa : - Do not thank me. It gives me pleasure too.
Tumblr media
Vlad : - Wow. You so beautiful.. Um. And your... Your shoulder strap has fallen off.
Melisa : - Oh sorry, I didn't notice.
Melisa : - Tell me Vlad, how do you like it better when it is lowered or when it is in place?💗
Vlad : - Wow. To me? Em. When she's down.👀
Melisa : - Then I'll leave it as it is.💗
Vlad : - I'm sorry teacher, but I can't help but tell you this. You are so sexy now.
Melisa : - Oh dear thank you dear. Maybe you want see something more?
Vlad : - More?
Melisa : - Yeah... Like... Nude?
Vlad : - OMG... 👀😍

missing ur fics... what are the chances of a paul's new year fic w popstar reader? 😭🙏
aaaaa so sorry for not writing a lot recently :( ive just had zero inspiration and major writers block..... but at least i could squeeze out some lame headcanons on this topic?? sorry again 😭
Tumblr media
– paul is so giddy for this new year's... because sure he's had a few girlfriends here and there before but he never actually got to properly spend nye with one
– until this year!
– he was so excited when he heard that she was free from work on new year's and even more excited when she agreed to come to estonia to celebrate it with him
– he had the whole day planned out; brunch at some cute place in town, dinner with his friends in the evening, and then taking her alone to a specific place he picked out to see the fireworks
– it's a bit out of town, somewhere the city lights wouldn't bother them as much and they could be higher up to see it all clearly, and since it's kinda remote there wouldn't be anyone around! just the two of them alone
– paul would be very touchy this day? to kinda remind himself that this is indeed happening, he is spending new years with his beautiful girlfriend and everything is perfect and he just wants to make sure she's there all the time (even if she's like sitting in his car or next to him in a restaurant lol)
– when they were standing there, arms around each other and looking up at the sky, waiting for the fireworks... i feel like paul wouldn't just be all quiet and wait for the midnight kiss and then go home? he had this feeling that he needed to do something more... so he started talking and expressing his feelings
– cue a whole ass speech from him about how much she means to him and how happy he is to have her in his life... how glad he is that they got together in 2024 and how much better his life is and how excited he is to go into 2025 with her!! and your girl is just standing there in shock like? where did this come from?? with tears beginning to form in her eyes
– and then the fireworks go off in the background signaling that it's midnight and so his hands on her hips pull her in, her arms drape over his shoulders, and their lips meet in a kiss to ensure a 2025 filled with only love <3
– (i also feel like she definitely set up her camera somewhere near the car without paul noticing? to get a video of the two of them with the fireworks in the background... and the outcome was perfect, with them just being silhouettes against the night sky so it's really hard to tell who they are; so perfect that she couldn't help but post a snippet or screenshot to her instagram story and properly launch their relationship for the first time ever even though you couldn't see their faces. and paul would see it when scrolling through his instagram later the same night, but he's very tired and maybe a bit tipsy so he doesn't realize that she is the one who posted it? so he goes "were there paparazzi there?!" 😭 and when he realizes that she hard launched their relationship in front of all of his followers, he gets so soft and so fuzzy and just so so in love)
