what is epistolary? epistolary refers to works of fiction that are written in the form of letters or other documents. this includes:

texting

letters

podcast / radio transcripts

tv show / film scrips

diary / journal

emails

social media posts

postcards

receipts / invoices / lists

**for this you don't HAVE to write the entire thing in this form if you don't want to, but it must include one of the epistolary written styles within the piece.

to enter:

for this prompt challenge, we have three options so its accessible to all writers, no matter where you are in your journey and there's an example at the bottom of this list:

hard: inbox me what epistolary you'd like from the list above and three characters you don't mind writing. I'll respond with a randomised prompt from the list and one of your selected characters from your list via spin the wheel.

medium: inbox me three characters you don't mind writing for me to spin the wheel and a letter from A to Z be given a "trope", you can then choose to match to an epistolary type above.

low: inbox me that you're joining so I can send love, and happily choose your own character, and epistolary type from the list and have fun!

here's an example of what it could look like: your prompt could be, the letter that wasn't meant to be found + joel. you could write the fic in normal prose, but include the letter mid-way through when joel discovers it. this would be epistolary. OR, two characters conversing through text message would also count. OR social media IG photos with the captions hinting at a relationship.
