Ballora and Eclipse's Relationship - A Ramble

I love the growing friendship between Ballora and Eclipse V4 on EAPS.

Which to me is a funny observation if you go deep lore on it, like an obsessive fan (is me, I'm an obsessive fan)

Wall of text under the cut

If you look deep cut into FNAF, I always liked to consider the Daycare Attendant kind of related to creations like The Puppet and Ballora. Ballora is a marionet, a performer, a doll for the stage. The Puppet a security measure, a caretaker, meant to look after special kids, but failed (Charlie).

The DCA are built like dolls. Marionets with intricate parts, originally meant to be performers for the stage but then repurposed to be caretakers, protectors of children. Like Puppet and Ballora they stand out against the animal themed animatronics that always took center stage.

On EAPS Ballora was introduced as a vapid person, only eyes for herself, calling others 'peasants' and refusing to get Puppet's name right. In EAPS they played up how Lefty was Puppet's replacement in the TSBS universe, as a model, while in FNAF lore Lefty was created as a means to capture and contain the possessed Puppet. A failure, compared to the fates and purposes of creations like Ballora.

Ballora only showing interest in friendship with the DCA, something she feels related to. Even to a point where she sticks around even when Sun and Moon each proves to perplex her, because they are programmed so differently from her. Yet she still insists in feeling a relation towards them, over anyone one.

While still acting high and mighty over others, to Sun and Moon she is more open and calm. Wanting to spend time and expand on them as people, as individuals.

This need becoming useful to Eclipse, because the EAPS DCA are very quickly attached to him, because again, an unspoken relation binds them together. Eclipse has the experience that could benefit the two baby AI that learns and grows very different from how Ballora does, as she was clearly more 'finished' in her programming to be ready to perform while not much older than Sunpea and Moonpea. Eclipse have been both of them, he is a copy of Sun and Moon both, no matter how much he hates this fact.

When Eclipse needed help the most to get through to Sunpea about his obsession with seeing real magic, Ballora came through, recognizing Sunpea needs to be spoken to in a specific way. She respected Eclipse's need to hold some distance to things that pulls back to where he came from. To a point he THANKED HER. Granted, he spoke the gratitude AFTER she left the room (much like when New Moon apologized for Old Moon's abandonment of Eclipse, when Eclipse V3 had already left the room).

Eclipse V4 is already a friend to Earth, the one he has dared to attach to because she actually cares to know his side of things. While not taking offence but actually gaining from his refusal to sugar coat things the way her family and partner does. She isn't perfect, she needs to be told that now and again.

In this other dimension.. Ballora is gaining his trust in other ways. She accepts the things he says but dares to speak up that other perspectives exist. But not in the same way others around him does. Puppet is NOT on same wave length, Puppet is just using Eclipse and he knows it, even if Puppet denies so to themself half of the time. Ballora is full of herself, but so down to earth around Eclipse and the EAPS DCA.. she isn't Earth, but connecting to Eclipse in different ways.

She hasn't shamed him, yet tells him off when going too far. She hasn't lied to him, she hasn't forced him to do things. When she says "We are friends" it is with even more honesty than Earth because she holds no baggage that Earth has. Ballora is still young and new. She has nothing to gain from lying to Eclipse, she holds no power over him like Puppet does with the EAPS contract. Heck, I'm sure her hazing Puppet is a great source of amusement to Eclipse.

When Eclipse dropped out from that Gang Beast video after Puppet ONCE AGAIN forced Eclipse to interact with Lunar, despite his protests time and time again, all acted like they did not understand his reaction at all.

Because Ballora is the one to actually care. Eclipse has said out clearly what he wants and what he dislikes, and others, especially Puppet, has an attitude of "get over it" or "you deserve it."

Again, Ballora has no baggage to judge Eclipse with or add any 'but' to things she claims or says to him. She genuinely wants to be his friend as much as with Sunpea and Moonpea. While recognizing the DCA still has some growing to do, realizing she was programmed to start off more mature, while Eclipse IS already the most mature around. Sunpea and Moonpea are made to learn differently because they have to interact with children, with humans, directly. They have so much more to learn and expand on, than a performer meant for the stage.

I like the duality it gives Ballora. She is a primadonna full of herself. She talks to her bandmates and mocks Puppet by refusing to acknowledge knowing her name. Yet so patient and kind to the DCA and so eager to give Eclipse the understanding and care he so needs.

She truly grown on me over time, showing this much duality to herself. Her priorities and her own growth as a character, the more she learns of things she can do as (and despite of being) an animatronic.

I love her interactions with Eclipse for this. And I truly feel, with Ballora, Eclipse V4 can count two whole genuine friends, who actually cares and listens.

The girl, the myth, the LEGEND!! I love Earth so much she's SO SWEET. She's the glue of the family, so selfless and ALWAYS there for the people she cares about. Her design means everything to me, its so creative!

Dazzle

Baby! Lil baby deer! Shes so cute and so sweet! Her relationship with Sun means everything to me and in Moon's words, She's such a cute kid! I love her design, such a cute little fawn with changeable outfits! I love how shes besties with Jack, they are so silly together!

Puppet

Cmon

CMOONN Puppet is the most SILLY GOOSE around. She makes me laugh SO MUCH I swear. Her lore and story is SO INTERESTING to me I want to eat it. Ive picked up so many vocal stims from her, I swear I always walk around sarcastically going "Yea I'm having a great day. Smile." I love her hair changing color depending on certain events and her design makes me want to squish her /pos!

Pollux

Ah! 1/2 of Gemini! I love how Pollux and Castor combine into Gemini It's so cool! As for Pollux herself though, shes so bubbly and curious! She reminds me of someone in my personal life tbh /pos I get her with like.. not knowing social cues, you are so me girl. Her singular design is so small and cute, it makes me very happy. Like I could pat her and she would go *squeak!* And her Gemini for looks so graceful! Also its CRIMINAL Tumblr doesn't allow you to make text yellow 😒

Ballora (Glamrock)

She is so funny I swear. I love her character development and how she started as arrogant and oh, so rude but has progressed to be more kind! Her 'forced friendship' (We all know he secretly likes her (platonically)) with Eclipse is so amusing. Bro is so done all the time. Her design is so pretty as well! She has a very spacey design that really matches ger aesthetic! (POOFY SKIRT!)

Monty Gator

Do they count?? Imma say they count. I don't have much to say about them tbh. Local chaos causer and war criminal /j They have had SO MUCH character development throughout the show and I love it. Their friendship with Og Moon is so sweet and they get up to so much chaos together. Their female body is so neat looking, my jaw dropped when I first saw it! And, oh wow, look at that. I DID have a good bit to say XD

Ruin is such a well written villain to victim of tragedy. He is serious one of my favorite characters of all time. This episode was such a amazing look into the tragedy he's had to face and his crippling guilt.

Also ballora is this episode was so good man. She knew right away what to do to help ruin and she didn't ask why he was panicking. Man I love their friendship.

Sorry it's been a bit since I last did one of these, but I'm back and here to take a look at today's new episodes

I love this group so much!!!

I'm glad Molten,Jack, and Dazzle have finally found friends like them. It's so cute and wholesome!

I love how they just yeet a toy to its death in the beginning of the episode. I love how they just stinkin' trying to solve a murder (A FAKE ONE)

I love how Sun even gets involved and goes full Riddler. (Sun face it, you're a father now. And a great one at that!)

This episode was so fun and cute! I love it!

I wonder if Sun and Moon's will be as wholesome?

Oh....oh no.

Nexus.... did it.

He broke Moon.

I didn't think it was possible to break Moon unless it was like the death of Sun or something, but here we are!

Moon did still hold remorse for what happened to Johnathan and probably the July 16th kids as well it's just unlike Sun, Moon didn't express his emotions. He kept them inside, hidden deep. And now Nexus has brought all those emotions to the surface!

I like how Moon says that Sun and Solar will be fine without him. It's a problem ya but the fact he thinks Sun and Solar are so capable without him it's kinda wholesome.

Monty is actually a pretty good friend. Monty admits he is not perfect, far from it! But he's changing. He's better now. Thanks to the whole Celestial family! Monty tries to help Moon, but it's clear Moon is gonna need a bit before he can be back to his usual self.... if he ever does.

Now, with Moon out of action, this means it will be easier for Nexus and Dark Sun to kidnap Sun. This may have all been a part of Nexus' plan break Moon, take Sun. Nexus will probably try to torture Sun and break him to get the shards but considering the fact even after Creator badly mentally tortured Sun and didn't get what he wants I don't think it will as easy as Nexus think it will be. Sun is stronger than any of them know.

And lastly....

Eclipse ACTUALLY OPENING UP TO SUNRISE AND MOONLIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! SHDHDVEUDGJWWEHEIEHWD!

💙 if your outwardly upset he understands that this may be scary but you'll get used to it eventually! It gonna be even worse if F.freddy is yandere to. You really aren't leaving...

🩷 bonnet is a harmless yandere: she knows she and the others can be overbearing that's why she's there! She'll be your emotional support :D

🩷 as long as your happy, she's happy. She does get anxiety when you leave though...

I headcanon Ennard as his own being in this one but can also write him as a mixture of everyone.

Ennard

They just watch and don't know how to interact with anyone, sometimes he talks to Lolbit but that's rare

He is pretty shy actually

Steals a lot of random stuff from guests, doesn't even matter what they have they will try to get it

Drinks a lot of energy drinks and is everytime disappointed it doesn't give him more energy

Circus Baby

She's very sozial but sometimes she doesn't even leave her stage, she can be moody

Can be sassy but also knows when to stop it

Of course she loves cake and ice cream, old habits die hard

Tends to steal the bracelets of gueast and wears them when alone

She hangs a lot around Foxy and gossip with them

Ballora & Minireena

A true mother, always calm but once mad everyone runs

She cares for the Minireenas like they are her children

Scolds them when they steal stuff from the guests or cause chaos once again

She loves to drink strawberry and vanilla tea, especially in winter

Funtime Foxy

He is a very outgoing animatronic

Doesn't matter who it is they can be friends with them

They get quickly mad when someone messes with their stage though

Loves to drink juice but he needs it to look fancy

Collects all kinds of bows and other accessories but never really wears them

Funtime Freddy & Bon-Bon

Extroverted as fuck dude

Bon-Bon is the only thing holding him back from talking 24/7

He acts with Bon-Bon like a older sibling

Loves candies of all kinds, but mostly the both of them like fruity ones

Loves pranks no matter who is getting pranked

Lolbit

Is really playful but has no idea how a normal conversation works

Loves to prank the other animatronics by fucking with their tech or by playing meme sounds

They are Foxy's sibling but have a wierd relationship, they like Foxy and love to annoy them but Foxy seemingly hates them, but they don't care about that

Bonnet

She tends to daydream a lot and is very sozial

She's got deep insecurities tho but makes up for that through talking with others

Bon-Bon and her act like siblings but won't always talk with each other

She's got at least a dozen hairbands from the guests/night guards and sometimes she binds them around her ears

To all of us hoping that Gregory will be the protag of HW2, I have found a bit of info that might help fasten that theory.

I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed these things out before. So keep that in mind when reading.

Theory rambling incoming from here on out.

So a few weeks ago I got myself this lovely book here.

And while it is just a general cookbook with some fancy recipes in it, we all know that in true FNaF fashion there is more going on here than it seems.

And boy there sure is, even if some of these are rather obvious. Because throughout the entire book there are added pieces of paper with small notes that contain info on them.

And these little straps of notes are written by none other than Gregory himself. With the notes themselves indicating that these are post Security Breach as evident by these specific notes right here:

These are very clearly written by Gregory and all tie into the events of Security Breach.

(There are a few more notes mentioning how you should always keep your eyes on the Endos, grab an Ultimate Pass from Bonnie Bowl, Chica eating from the garbage, that you should grab a Party Pass for Fazerblast and use the blaster to stun animatronics, how Moon is and I quote "a nightmare animatronic" and to keep away from the Staffbot flashlights)

But there are even more notes in the book that do not follow the events of the game but rather talk about older versions of all the characters we all know and love. And not just that but Gregory is flat out describing mechanisms from previous games. Like this note:

Not to mention the note itself is attached to an image with the FNaF 1 office.

There is also notes on how you should watch Bonnie's every move, to never take your eyes off from Foxy's hook and how Foxy's eyepatch doesn't seem to stop him from hunting intruders.

But the most fascinating, and most random note to me, has to be this one:

A note from Gregory describing Ballora. I could kinda understand that Gregory might have gotten info on the classic four animatronics via searching stuff up, but the fact that Ballora is mentioned here, and only her from SL, makes me think that this is way more important than a random little easter egg.

Because let's take a look at the HW2 trailers again? We know for a fact that the three main games featured in this new one will be Security Breach, Pizza Sim and Sister Location.

And that is the important part, because Ballora was only and only in SL and nowhere else. Heck she was even the first animatronic teased in the first HW2 trailer.

Some people theorize that Cassie could be the one we play as in HW2 because of the Foxy ride shown in the second trailer, and with Cassie mentioning that she had been on this ride before, but here we have a game that includes Ballora and could be a potential GGY prequel where we play as Gregory.

Now we have a book with notes written by Gregory, mentioning Ballora. And not just that but HW2 could be where Gregory got all the info for the older animatronics from.

We do see that the new Foxy ride attraction includes the FNaF 1 office, which could be how Gregory knows Chica's specific attack pattern and also knows more about Bonnie and especially Foxy. Because outside of cutouts and references and images in SB and RUIN there is no way that any of these kids should really know much about Foxy.

Sure Cassie might know stuff from her dad but Gregory? There is no way he could have known most of this stuff. Unless he played a game prior to SB where he did get to know about the old animatronics.

And all of this isn't even me mentioning how Gregory, somehow, managed to dig up the old news paper articles from FNaF 1, 2 and 3 and put them into the cookbook.

Heck the first note you see from him is of the first location threatened to be shutdown because of the weird odor and mucus from the OG animatronics after the first MCI! Followed by the MCI report itself:

Other articles that were included are of the original help wanted ad in the paper where they are looking for a night guard. The article about the OG pizzaria closing down. The second help wanted poster from FNaF 2 which talks about the grand reopening in 1987. And the two news articles about Fazbear's Fright opening and then eventually burning to the ground.

Not sure how or why Gregory managed to get a hold on all of these and why he decided to include them in the cookbook. But they are there.

And that's kinda all the info I found myself. I'm not the best at doing these theory things but I'm trying.

Am I maybe digging for hints where there might not be any? Possibly.

Do I however feel that this could be important clues to figuring out more about Gregory? Oh absolutely.

circus baby redesign! i redesigned every canon sister location animatronic except ennard and the little freaks (biddybabs n minirinas) so go check out my previous redesigns! feel free to use this with credit :)

Ok. So of all the redesigns. circus baby's deffo took the longest. the others each took around ~5 hours and circus baby's took. ten. mostly because of the excessive amount of detail i gave her. she's the main character! she needed way more detail!

so. anyways! i made her much more clowny! her name is circus baby, and her original design was barely a clown besides the face and the shoes!! so i upped it by a thousand, and now she's much more circus-y! she also needed a fun hat because i think the clown hat is very important and essential. for everything.

along with that she's covered in glitter! how r u gonna have a voice line of hers be "i was covered in glitter" and NOT cover her in glitter! so now? all her clothes sparkle!

out of all the funtimes i think her and funtime freddy are the largest because they both have to be proportional to their large internal systems, funtime freddy having the storage tank and circus baby having her "ice cream" machine. so for funzies and be she's so large her eyes r up really high!! cause.. nobody's gonna be viewing her from head on. so if she looks down at some kid or smthn, she looks more normal!!

like the other funtimes she still has all her original features!! i didn't know how to show an emergency stop thing though so she still has that, but it's probably. like. a button or something somewhere. also the tips of her fingers are the balloon makers !!

she also has a lot details that are really hard to see but like.. i thought they'd be fun to add!! one of those is sliver of blue in her eyes as a reference to her original eye color :)

her hair, like ballora's, is synthetic cause it adds more movement! and her most of her clothes are real. her hands, legs, and feet are rubber though.. so the gloves and socks are not real :( the ruffles on every part of her outfit were also very important and very necessary to the fnaf lore and not just be i like drawing ruffles!!

so inside her internal compartment are a supply of balloons, cake perfume (“i smelled like birthday cake”), ice cream, ice cream cones, an ice cream holder, and the scooper. to stay inside the scoopers all folded up in there like a really painful jack-in-the-box, so the internal compartment is really cramped and does not leave much room for anything else. it's kinda more a "murk on sight" thing rather than a "kill and contain" like funtime freddy because there simply isn't enough room for storing anything else.

also while i was making this i was thinking of a scrap baby design to maybe create in the future, but im probably not going to 😭😭 but. Scrap babies hair would be yarn and her face would be paper plates or something cause she raided a craft store. Idk where she got the roller skates but in this au scrap baby robbed a craft store.

Hang on, guys! I think I might have something!

So...

Despite continuously saying it was his fault...Francis ALSO said that the only thing he did was implant the idea of Eclipse being in love...or, at least, ECLIPSE'S idea of what love is.

Let's look at who he sought after:

Puppet

Ballora

Monty

And...some female version of himself, of which Francis admitted he had NO idea how she got there.

I can't be the only one who's noticed the trend in people Eclipse finds himself becoming more open with and friendly toward. It started with Earth. Then, he got closer with Puppet through the process of helping her. Then, Ballora pushed her way into a friendship with him. As for the Monty in this dimension, she's the only version of Monty that Eclipse has ever really gotten along with. Now, how many guys does Eclipse spend time with? Foxy and Moon(light) are the only ones he really hangs out with.

Eclipse seems to have more friends who are girls. I'm not far enough down this odd rabbit hole to consider exact reasons for this, but he definitely seems to have less trouble being more open with girls.

So, back to the point about Francis using Eclipse's idea of love for this dream. I think that wording is important. Francis didn't say that it was Eclipse's idea of ROMANTIC love. Sure, that was how it ended up coming across in the dream, but if Francis's 'prompt' for that dream was "Eclipse expresses love", then it could explain the jumbling of intentions.

Love doesn't have to be romantic. Love is just caring deeply about someone in your life. We KNOW Eclipse cares a lot more about a lot of people then he's willing to admit, even to himself. This would explain (most of) the list of people he ended up expressing romantic feelings toward in that dream. They're all people he feels close with, and who he's ALLOWED to be close to him. People he cares deeply about. People he loves. It just seems like, somewhere along the way, Francis's prompt for the dream got mingled with extra meanings that weren't intended, and we were left with...THAT.

Am I saying that, if the dream had gone further, he may have possibly gone after Moon(light)? Well...I'm not NOT saying that.

Anyway, I guess the female Eclipse could have ALSO come from the muddling of Francis's prompt? Like, self-love being reinterpreted to fit with the rest of the mixed-up romantic love?

I don't know. I'm just a guy who REALLY likes going on unnecessary deep dives, particularly when it come to Eclipse.
