Fic: Something New
Klaine Advent 2020: grey
Words: ~1,800 words
Summary: Blaine gets something new to wear on his day off.
Rating: General audience/Teen and up
Another vignette from my Mormon!Klaine universe for Klaine Advent 2020. The two long fics from that universe are on ao3: Small Things, about Kurt growing up Mormon, and A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, about the first day of Kurt and Blaine working/living together as missionary companions (co-missionaries) in Germany.
This vignette takes place shortly after A Marvelous Work And A Wonder, Indispensable, and Joy of Service, and before Lead, Kindly Light and Rings and Things. Kurt and Blaine are serving together as missionaries in Ingolstadt, Germany, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Notes: Another P-day vignette! P-day, or preparation day, is the one day a week that missionaries get time off to run errands or, if they can manage it, squeeze in some fun. BYU is Brigham Young University, the church’s university system in the United States. Finally, there’s some German dialogue in this. Don't worry about it if you don't read German. All the important stuff is repeated in the narrative.
If you have any questions about cultural and religious references (or corrections on my German!), feel free to use my ask box!
--------
Blaine had never been as happy on his mission as he was when serving with Elder Hummel.
And it wasn't like he'd been unhappy on his mission before. Sure, he’d had to deal with time zone changes and culture shock, live with guys with poor grooming habits and no idea how to cook, and get used to going to bed by 10 p.m. every night of the week (though that became easy quickly, given how exhausted he was from constant work). But most of his mission had been awesome. He loved people—living with them, working with them, serving them. And that's what he did as a missionary.
But working with Elder Hummel brought Blaine’s happiness to a completely different level. For one, it was pleasant living with him. They both liked to cook and keep things neat. Blaine was more fond of actually cleaning things, so he did most of that, but he never felt shortchanged because Elder Hummel made contributions in his own way. He was an expert at creating storage space out of nowhere in their tiny apartment and making the whole place feel homey. Every time Blaine opened the cabinets or pantry, he had to smile at the way their boxes of dry goods were lined up according to color, creating a sunny little rainbow, and their dishes looked so spritely and happy, standing as they did in proud little rows.
It wasn’t just the physical aspects of the apartment, though. It was the more personal aspects too. Unlike with other missionaries, Blaine and Elder Hummel never clashed over sharing space. They didn't fight over the bathroom—Blaine generally took his showers first thing in the morning, and Elder Hummel took his at night, and it turned out they had the exact same washing and moisturizing routine for their faces, which was great because they could just share product and mirror, playing over the events of the day and cracking jokes as they got ready for bed. In was strange, how warm and intimate sharing a bathroom sink could feel, the way that blessing the sacrament sometimes felt. In those moments, the syllable Kurt would totter on the end of Blaine’s tongue like a young swallow on the edge of a cliff, getting ready to fly for the first time.
But Blaine never let that single, soft syllable go. Missionaries weren't supposed to address each other by their first names while on the job. First names were too personal, too reminiscent of who they might be outside of the mission field. It wasn't that missionaries weren't allowed to care for each other. It was just that they were supposed to see each other through the lens of the mission first. Being called Elder was a reminder of the singular focus they ought to have on their work.
But that was a small sacrifice in comparison to the pleasure he got from serving with someone who, in just two and a half weeks of companionship, already knew Blaine as well as Blaine knew himself.
“What do you think of this one for you?” Elder Hummel said, picking out a pale-blue gingham bow tie from the rack and holding it up for Blaine’s inspection.
How did Elder Hummel understand him so perfectly when he’d never even seen Blaine wear a bowtie before? Leaving every single one of his bow ties in Arizona because they didn't fit the mission dress code had been the only point when Blaine questioned whether he should go on a mission at all.
“It’s—it's incredible. It’s gingham. And it’s sky blue. It looks like Easter.” It also looked a little like Elder Hummel's eyes; the blue was the same shade as the blue flecks in his irises.
“And it would go perfectly with that shirt.” Elder Hummel held the tie up to Blaine’s pink polo.
“It would.” Blaine was smiling so hard his cheeks ached. It was a nice ache, though, like the kind you get in your belly when you’ve laughed longer than you have in ages. “But I can't. Where would I wear it?”
“The same places you wear that pink polo shirt.”
“You mean, on P-day?”
Elder Hummel nodded. “Or around the apartment when you're in your PJs. I'm pretty sure bow ties aren't forbidden as sleepwear.”
Blaine chuckled. “You really think it's OK?”
“Why wouldn't it be OK?”
“I don't know. Bow ties aren't on the packing list.”
“Neither are BYU sweatshirts. But plenty of missionaries wear them on P-day.” Elder Hummel pressed the bow tie into Blaine's hands. “Go ahead. Try it on. If you don't like it, then don't get it. If you do like it—well, you don't have to buy it then, either. But at least you’ll have had the joy of wearing something you love for a few brief moments.”
“I don't have to try it on to know that I love it.”
Elder Hummel didn't say anything to that, just did a sort of half eye roll that felt more like affection than judgment. “Meanwhile, I'm not leaving this place without trying those on.” He flitted over to a carousel rack and pulled off a pair of white stretch denim pants with widely spaced black pencil lines that ran from waist to hem. “I desperately need something to wear on P-days other than these old things.” He gestured toward the current jeans he was wearing, a slim burgundy pair that skimmed Elder Hummel’s hips like a glove.
“You don't need new jeans. Those look great on you,” Blaine said.
Elder Hummel looked down at himself. “Maybe. But it's nice to have something new every once in awhile.” He asked the shop attendant for the dressing room.
Blaine rifled through the other ties on the rack, but none of them were as nice as the one that Elder Hummel had picked out. When the shop attendant returned from unlocking the dressing room for Kurt, Blaine asked to pay for the bow tie.
“Ich hab noch nie einen Mormonen-Missionar in einer Fliege gesehen. Nur Krawatten,” she nodded toward Blaine’s missionary name tag as she scanned the tie into the register. “Sie haben gut Geschmack.”
Blaine felt the need to correct her. Not about missionaries usually wearing neckties, which was true, but about him having good taste. It wasn't that he didn't have good taste. But Kurt—Elder Hummel—had been the one to spot it. Also, he just liked to talk about Elder Hummel. “Mein Freund hat es gefundet. Er ist derjenige, der die Mode wirklich versteht.”
“Brauchen Sie eine Tüte?” She held the tie out to him. Clearly she expected that he did not need a bag.
“Nein, danke. Darf ich es jetzt tragen?” He gestured putting the tie on.
“Ja, natürlich.” She took the tie back and snipped off the tags for him, smiling conspiratorially as she returned it to his hands. “Da drüben steht ein Spiegel.”
Blaine walked over to the mirror she'd indicated and draped the tie over the back of his neck. Despite not having put on a bowtie in months, he didn't need to think about which end went over which end first. His body led his movements, not his head, creating a light pressure around the base of his neck that he hadn't realized he missed. Odd, how different it felt from a necktie. Like a gentle hug. Neckties often made Blaine feel like they were dragging him down. But a bowtie’s center of gravity seemed to pull him forward into life.
“It looks fantastic.” Elder Hummel’s voice sang through Blaine's reverie. “You going to buy it?”
“Already did.” Blaine turned toward Elder Hummel to give his companion a full view of the new bow tie. He was not quite prepared for the full view of Elder Hummel that he got, in turn.
Elder Hummel was in the fine-striped pants he’d pulled off the rack and a grey button-down decorated with tiny white silhouettes of scissors. The top two buttons of the shirt were undone, exposing a pale throat and a hint of collarbone that had, a few minutes before, been covered by overshirt and ascot. And the pants? They looked good on him too. They weren't so tight that Blaine could see Elder Hummel’s garment lines through them—he definitely couldn't—but Blaine hadn’t realized before this moment quite how muscular Elder Hummel’s thighs were.
“Wow, Ku-- Elder Hummel,” Blaine said, and swallowed heavily. “You look incredible.”
Elder Hummel's eyes widened. His expression was enigmatic. Blaine wondered if he'd messed up. Like, really messed up. Kurt was a stickler for the rules, tight P-day pants aside. It was fine to know the first name of your missionary companion. But speaking it was an entirely other thing.
Or was it? Maybe other companions called each other by first name all the time in private. Maybe the fact that none of Blaine's previous companions had never called him by his first name meant they weren't as good friends as he wanted them to be. Maybe Kurt didn't want him to be. (He kicked himself internally for even thinking Kurt's name. It was so obvious Kurt—no, goshdarnit, for the last time, Elder Hummel—was going to chide Blaine for his carelessness and disobedience. And Blaine didn't even care. He could take all the lectures Elder Hummel could dish out. He deserved them. But Elder Hummel’s disappointment in him—Blaine didn't know how he would ever recover from that.)
Elder Hummel’s surprise melted into a smile. “Thank you, Elder Anderson.”
Okay, then. Blaine hadn’t messed up. Things were good between them. Maybe-- “You could—You could call me Blaine, if you want. Since it’s P-day and all. And … my name’s Blaine.”
“Kurt,” Elder Hummel said, reaching his right hand out toward Blaine. “But I guess you know that. My name is Kurt.”
The anxiety rushing through Blaine's head dissipated instantly. It was like he'd been listening to sixteen discordant music tracks playing at the same time. Then all of a sudden, sweet silence. He reached for Kurt's hand. Shook it. It was a thing they had done the day they met, but it felt again like the first time. “It's nice to meet you, Kurt Hummel.”
“Not like I didn’t already know your name was Blaine. It’s on every letter you get.”
Blaine felt a strange heat rise to his face. He was … He didn’t know what that feeling was. It was somehow related to the thought that Kurt had read his name on his letters and remembered it. Not embarrassment—because embarrassment was the same as anxiety, and his anxiety had disappeared 12 seconds earlier when the metaphorical music tracks in his head fell silent. No. It was something strange and new.

IkeSen Custom MC/OC Meme
(just so you know, i’m pulling this straight outta thin air lol it’s late and i’m brainstorming as i fill this out XD)
Hello there, time-traveler / feudal heroine / warlord! What’s your name?
Oh hey there! My name is Ana Hill (I’ve been told I need to work on my Japanese letters - and I probably should be writing this in Japanese too - but hey, what Ieyasu doesn’t know won’t hurt him, right?!)
Age? Height?
21! Uh, I guess about 5′3 or so?
What’s your fashion like? [Time travelers – pre & post-wormhole!]
Well, before I pulled a Marty McFly back into the Sengoku, my style was..um..nothing? I dunno, a simple t-shirt and jeans did the job for me. And Converse. Man..I miss my Converse.. Well, at my job I had to wear a nice pantsuit as well. Not too big on skirts, but I liked wearing dresses now and then. Heels were ok, but only for formal occasions. Now that I’m here in the good ol’ 1500s, I like to rock the kimono, if you know what I mean. Though I’ve been seriously considering swiping one of Mitsunari’s..or Ieyasu’s Hakama sometimes (they seem closer to my size, I think). Those look very comfortable!
Where are you from?
Glouchester, Massachusetts (USA)
Feudal era – pros and/ or cons?
Ooh boy, here we go. Pros: It’s quieter here, plus the scenery is beautiful, like the different castles and shrines I’ve seen, not to mention all the nature!! Oh, and no pollution, either!! I get to be up close and personal with a lot of wildlife too, like horses! I’ve learned how to ride one too! Which is something I’ve always wanted to learn! Since I’ve been set up as a Princess I’ve been treated pretty well and everyone is very kind and helpful. And there’s a lot of lovely kimono I’ve been allowed to try on. Cons: Language barrier is worse in this time period. I could get by with speaking Japanese back in the modern day, but here, it’s different.. and I’m completely lost when it comes to reading their alphabet! I had no idea the letters changed over time! Also, they don’t call it the Sengoku era for nothing! It’s one thing to see it in the movies, it’s another thing to hear about and see the real thing. There are some things I don’t think I’ll ever un-see.. As for more lighthearted matters, I do miss wifi, not gonna lie.. and air conditioning... what I wouldn’t give for air conditioning again.....(and tampons but ANYWAYS)
If you’re not in your homeland/time, do you want to go home?
I do miss my grandparents, but also my time was also the time where I had to watch my mom die... so... a little bit of yes and a little bit of no...
What’s your home life like?
I lived with my grandparents, whose parents actually immigrated from Portugal. My dad was of some other nationality, like German or Dutch, I think. He skipped out on us when I was a kid. My mom died in my teens. You know, being able to actually speak a little Portuguese helps with the warlords? At least, with Nobunaga and Hideyoshi. Didn’t realize there were Portuguese merchants that visited Japan back then. The more you know, I guess!
You just got your dream job! What is it? / Or, what’s your line of work?
My line of work WAS being an English teacher in Kyoto. There was a cool exchange program in school that allowed us to go to Japan and I loved it. After that I learned that you could get a job that allowed you to teach English over there. I loved Japan, and I wanted to be a teacher. The rest is history. heh...
Any other hobbies or skills? Do you use them / how do you use them in the Sengoku period?
I’m a big movie buff. American film, French film, Japanese film, Korean film.. name it, I’ll watch it. It’s just a hobby of mine. Nothing very useful for the Sengoku period, though. Watching Kurosawa films does NOT make one a Sengoku scholar, I found. Though it is fun seeing all those warlords baffled at my lame 80s references.
Where is your base of operations? Azuchi Castle? Kasugayama Castle? A pirate ship? Running all over the woods or in a secret monastery? Some other cool place?
Azuchi. Nobunaga and Masamune were names I recognized. And Nobunaga can speak some Portuguese, so I went along with him. Good choice? Bad choice? We’ll see...
How do you feel about killing and violence?
It’s the Sengoku period. It’s just what goes on here. That doesn’t mean I like it, and that it doesn’t scare me half to death, but I just kinda...live with it? I couldn’t kill a person myself, though. Unless maybe in self-defense.
Have you learned to fight? If so, what’s your weapon and/or fighting style of choice?
Fighting kind of scares me. I did agree to learn how to shoot a bow. And Masamune gave me a dagger to protect myself.
What are you fighting for?
To survive? Being a Princess of Azuchi isn’t always safe, I’ve found. Especially when its Lord decides to drag me into battle even though he knows I don’t know a thing about fighting??!!
What are your feelings about authority?
Hey man, I don’t like dictators, but I come from a different time period. I can’t just assume that people are gonna understand or agree with the morals that I’m used to. If someone is pointing a sword or a pistol in my face, I’m not gonna act stupid and be disrespectful, you know? There’s a time and a place for things.
How do you handle someone invading your personal space?
If it’s someone I know and am close with, I don’t mind it at all! But if they’re a stranger, I get uncomfortable.
…do you invade people’s personal space?
I wouldn’t say so, unless, again, if you’re someone I am close with.
Are you more open, or more reserved? Are you secretive?
I tend to be more on the open side. I can keep a secret, though, if need be (though it depends on if I think its something that should be kept secret).
Is this the first time you’ve been truly in love?
With a real person that I actually know? Yes...
What’s your style as a lover? (interpret this as innocently or not-innocently as you please ;) )
I can be a bit of a cuddler. Again, if I know you, I like to be close. Kissing is..yes. I like it.. I also like to play with hair and have mine played with. Honestly, just snuggling close to someone and talking about anything and everything is a perfect way to spend an afternoon for me. I’m not too complicated. I grew up in a small house where we shared everything. I’m used to simple things and am easy to please.
What are your favorite ways for someone to show you love?
Simple, everyday things please me. A nice comment, a random hug or kiss, a sweet gesture; just something that shows they were thinking of me... I grew up being taught that family is very important, so knowing that I am wanted and that I can be a part of someone else’s family would be a wonderful thing.
Do you use a petname or endearments for your lover(s)?
Hmmmm...maybe? When I was little, my grandfather once said my grandmother was fofo, which means cute or soft. Maybe I’d call him that...
How do you feel about…
Nobunaga? Weird. A mix of scary, funny, childish, and admirable all rolled up into that...admittedly attractive...mountain of a man. Good conversationalist too. It’s extremely entertaining telling him all of the stories from movies and books back at home.
Hideyoshi? Scary at first, but super sweet once he got used to me. Very helpful and considerate. I’m slowly but surely winding him down and helping him chill out about Nobunaga sneaking out to get candy (because I want some of my own, darn it!!!)
Masamune? Also Scary. But man can he cook! Also he has a PET TIGER. One of these days, im stealing Shogetsu and keeping him for myself!
Ieyasu? Porcupine. Also a good teacher, but super strict! Gave me a real appreciation for herbal medicines.
Mitsunari? He’s SO CUTE? Literally, the cutest person I’ve ever seen?? Good study buddy, too. He’s helping me learn the language better and I’m teaching him English!
Mitsuhide? Scary. But cool. But scary. But funny. I can’t tell you how many times hes made fun of the way I’ve stared at him since we’ve met.
Shingen? Hot. Too hot. Dangerous. gotta keep your eye on that one. May or may not have imagined him in a suit.
Kenshin? He’s got..two different colored eyes? Like a cat? Intimidating as all get-out. All he thinks about is war. Needs a hobby like stamp collecting. I want to touch his fluffy haori.
Yukimura? Reminds me of a guy I knew in school. Kind of a jock, but not the kind that has a way with the ladies. Lovable but awkward. That kind of guy. He’s funny when he’s with Sasuke though. Hilarious to tease too. He called me an enchantress one time and I tried to sing that one song from Hocus Pocus to him. Didn’t go well.
Sasuke? Bestest pal ever. Would 100% time travel with him again. We have so many inside jokes we could write a book. (omg we should do that.. gotta remind myself to tell him that next time I see him!!) It’s a shame he lives so far away.
Kennyo? A warrior monk who wants to kill but also loves animals? Doesn’t compute. If only I could get him to a therapist...
Motonari? I’m gonna teach him the “Pirates Life for Me” song one of these days...that is, if he doesn’t try to kill me or kidnap me or something first...
Any other friends/notables?
I did have some friends when I was teaching English, yes. I also got along with my students pretty well too. Mostly, it’s my grandparents I worry about while I’m stuck here...
Freestyle! Tell us anything else you’d like to share!
I have a massive sweet tooth like big man Nobunaga here. Hideyoshi has accused me of encouraging his addiction.. it’s true, sadly. Portuguese merchants are my best friends and I’ve haggled them enough that I get some of their delicacies for lower prices. I’m becoming Nobunaga’s best friend because of this, I think. My name might as well be Lucky Charm. Shingen may or may not have recruited me to his sweet dumpling team though. Those are super good...
*goes to think about all the sweets she misses*
Thanks for introducing yourself! ♡

✩ Interview with a Mun ✩
➋ Have you ever roleplayed with someone that just left an unforgettable impression on you?
I could be cheesy now and simply point at @pandoragu who I met roleplaying as Kamiizumi and who later became my girlfriend (and still is! ^_^), but that’d be too easy. Besides, she has stopped roleplaying for years now.
There have been several people who’ve left a big impression on me, some of them even changing the way I approach RP and how I write, how I build a scene. There’s certainly @containyourmainposure from whom I learned much about writing in general, or @burmecias-protector who was the first to play with me on here, and was instrumental in shaping my image of Burmecians further. And then there are so many people from my earlier, german roleülaying days, some of which even affecting my life greatly…
But when it comes to tumblr RP, I feel the one to mention here should be edeaofeternia, who is now found at @ladyofeternia as she just recently returned. She definitely had the biggest impact on my roleplaying out of all the people I met. Her call for a Kamiizumi roleplayer was what got me to pick that muse up in the first place, and the Bravely Default group we had, no, the Bravely Default FAMILY we had during those times will always remain one of my favorite memories when it comes to roleplaying. It was the first time I found myself in such a tight knit community that wasn’t german, and with how people turned to both me and her for advice always warmed my heart. In a way, we were the Mom and Dad of that little community, and I’ll never forget that. Or how they called me Papazumi back then…
But yes. It was edeafeternia’s approach to writing and plotting and worldbuiding that always fascinated and inspired me alike, and I am very glad I recently found out she’s back on tumblr (and probably has been for a while, whoops^^’’), even if my Kamiizumi-Muse is and likely will stay dormant.
➍ Would you say you’re a decent roleplayer or do you have any self doubts?
Show me one roleplayer who doesn’t have any self doubts. You can’t.
We all have our doubts here and there, every now and then. That’s normal. That’s part of writing, and also part of growing as a writer. I’m no exception.
Despite that, I would still say I am a decent roleplayer, and I think I am correct in thinking so. I’ve had people praise and curse my ability to write angst, I’ve had people impressed by how I built some scenes - yeah, I’d like to think I’m decent alright.
Especially if I consider that technically, english is my third language after german and french, but I hate french and ain’t that good in it, so I’d really say english is my second after german. The fact that I can write well enough in english that people not only understand me but occassionally even praise me is more than enough for me.
➏ What’s the one thing you especially love about roleplaying your muse?
He’s original. He’s unique. He’s… well, he’s Sceada.
There is so much to him that I love, that I deeply like about my little idiot, and one of these things is how much he could grow. He keeps on growing and growing, and he never begins to feel off cannon - because there is no cannon for him to bind him down. He can grow into any direction he pleases and that the rps dictate, with no hindrance. And I really like that.
Ain’t nobody ever coming in my inbox to tell me I play my muse wrong like it happened with cannon muses.
➑ Give us a rough estimate: How much time have you spent on your graphics? (icons, theme, banners, promos, etc)
I am sadly not exactly talented with art at all, so much of what is on my blog, especially the artworks and icons are made by others, whether they were generous gifts or commissions - you can see the credits for them usually next to the art (and once I finish the tag rehaul in the art tag too).
The one thing I did work on myself, albeit using a base, is the theme, and over the years I’ve sunk dozens of hours into that - largely because sometimes, I find my understanding of CSS to be a bit lacking.
Quite a sad thing to admit for a former Computer Science student, huh…?
➓ What were some of the most frustrating moments you had with your muse’s interaction with another muse?
If you mean, when Sceada frustrated me, then it is the several times he was so uncertain about his feelings, where he hesitated so much, that it almost destroyed what could have been - or actually did destroy it. He’s never been good with his feelings, and he had to grow a lot in these three years I’ve played him to better himself. And don’t get me wrong, his desire not to rush into something is a trait I absolutely love about him. But by the gods, boy, if you know you can’t stand seeing a certain someone walk away, and you know she wants to hear you say you love her - Why why WHY can’t you just say it? >.
As for what about playing him frustrated me the most in general…. It’s the sad fact that many won’t bother to even look at an OC or reply to a message sent by one. I understand some people are more comfortable playing with a muse where they know what to expect and that’s perfectly fair, I force no one to play with me. That’d not be fun for either of us. But it is nonetheless frustrating when you find an amazing roleplayer and try to contact them, only to end up being ignored because you are a playing an OC.

WHY STARTUP INVESTING TRENDS
They're as expert in their world as you are in big trouble. Another was that startups had to rely mostly on examples in books. I grew up, so long as you want to talk to the other. If you're content to develop new technology as fast as startups, the more completely a project can mutate. The third big lesson we can learn from them again as one might when rereading a book. That will require some diplomacy if you follow the trail wherever it leads, found themselves switching to Intel boxes. But when people are bad at understanding. Few would be willing to look under rocks as a kid you're sitting on the shoulders of someone else who's treading water, and that email has to be some material even in fast food.
Part of the reason it happens is that you can focus on different plans when talking to a VC firm, you shouldn't be discouraged by the comparatively corrupt test of college admissions, because it's easier to imagine Apple as the dictator on the screen; use simple, germanic words; learn to distinguish surprises from digressions; learn to recognize the approach of an ending, and when you're not in the trivial sense that the higher you go the fewer instances you find. Some, like Ron Conway, say it's the people—that the idea of versions just doesn't naturally fit onto Web-based application that Microsoft ends up with, just as they do in the application process is to weed out the people it should select by making them to do, you'll have less competition, like software for human resources departments. I think the effect of growth than the cause. Near the top is the company run by techno-weenies who are obsessed with control, and they can't judge those just from meeting you. If the startup can't raise the rest, including me, actually like debugging. Microcomputers are a classic example. One technique you can use any language you want, but not the best way to get rich, you have more freedom of choice.
We compete more with employers than VCs. When does it have to be careful not to get their hopes up is not to say you have to be willing to look under rocks. So they don't have sufficient flexibility to adapt to this. But don't get mad at us. When I think how hard can it be? Someone arguing against the tone of something he disagrees with may believe he's really saying something. The effects of World War II, they often don't get thrown away. The obvious solution is to add a delay before people can respond to a challenge from an adult in a way a question doesn't.
Now the frightening giant is Microsoft, and Yahoo can buy. Something was happening in Florence in 1200 as it is, right? When a startup does. My friend Robert learned a lot from things I've read on HN. So if our group of friends, and forget to be happy. But he went ahead and did it. They would just look like gibberish to someone who knew what the right direction, admit you have no idea. Which usually means that you want to make a record. It certainly describes what happened in finance too. Race you. 1%.
It was a theoretical exercise, an attempt to pander to the interests and limitations of humans. What difference did it make if other manufacturers could offer DOS too? Much recent history consists of spin. Suvs do it to seem manly, not to hurt the rich. I can't imagine telling Bill Gates at 19 that he should wait till he graduated to start a silicon valley, if they can find someone with a real product and real revenues, we might have done well. When there are just two or three to one would be drafted into some organization and then rise to positions of gradually increasing responsibility. 1/b nbad where word is the token whose probability we're calculating, good and bad. In phase 2, you have to install them later. Perhaps worst of all, probably, how McCarthy thought of it is what new things you can tell from aggregate evidence: you can't manage a process intended to produce beautiful things without knowing what you know intellectually to be right, even though they may not always be true. I need to be designed for human feet. There you're not concerned with truth.
Our plan was to get a lot of the spread of computing power was a precondition for the rise of new kind of candidate. But that's not the main reason Lisp isn't currently popular. We were told a lot of latent respect among the very top funds; the lamer ones still want to go out of their element in the valuation of the company if he'd let us have it. I've left the abandoned branch as a footnote. Part of what he called essais. We don't hear that any more now that Japanese companies are building cars in the US are more conservative than they're willing to be held to a standard that, say, physical appearance, charisma, or athletic ability. June 9th evening afternoon tweets
U know looking back, at the state party school that I transferred to, in 2010, what they taught was done poorly & the subjects were out of date. I’m sure they’ll beg to differ. While they and their involvement of a “situation” strives to keep me writing in the midst of studying-
- other schools were teaching agile software practices, cloud computing, data warehousing, or even with a simple Java programming class: how to run JUnit test cases.-
- for months I tried contacting a professor for an old assignment and notes related to handling Java programming with sql database coding, never gives me what I want. Basically always says he’s too busy-
- in the party school, while their sister state university of Binghamton was teaching Java with Eclipse, enterprise style repositories and JUnit test cases, party school was using a baby program called Dr. Java.-
- my transcript is proof of the courses you teach. The duration of the situation and the kids is proof of a distraction in my priorities. My 4.0 high school GPA is testament to my academic caliber. Me, I like using the luxury of time to learn a course until it’s mastered.-
- students would say professor ravis course was 1 of the important courses. Didn’t do so well the 1st time amidst obstacles. Wanted 2 take theCourseAgain. Ur partySchool’s conflictResolution VP insisted I take remaining courses @ a communityCollege so that Im out of their hair.-
-can you imagine this dip sh*ts advice? From a 4.0 gpa at Iona with scholarships and free laptops to a community college. The b*stars went out of his way to convince my parents I’m crazy after he had the faculty monitor me on the harassment on the day of my life 2012 finals.-
The amountOfDamage that partySchool, those spitefulKids did, along w/the rest ofThe “situation.”U should see some of theseFacesIm thinking why the f*k are U in myLife, while these randomly angry agenda fueled gamePlayers areIrritated theyre not wanted playing god w/some1’s life.-
- to some of the randomly angry agenda fueled game players, you wanna say have some dignity and move on.
The orchestrators are trying to figure me out. Put corny high school paths of doing what you love my way and things will follow. How old am I? How do you explain ur perverted presence in my life? Something can be learned from the Indian concept of arranged marriages-
- back in India, families strive to get their kids to perfection. Find a family, a women, that’s exceptional and meets standards. We wish a similar exceptionalism for careers, futures, education, etc. I come from this culture. In my family, father sought out opportunities in the-
- alien country of America and took care of his family and his extended family back home. Uncle went off to a different part of India and worked as the closest contact to Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi with his Italian wife Sonia. My father, my uncle, did these things thru-
- hard work without distractions and American party schools constantly getting in the way. It is beyond me, why my parents aren’t defending their culture and allowing these racist Americans to walk all over us, especially me.-
- the thing that’s absolutely beyond me is, I don’t do drugs, I don’t drink, just minding my business, I’ve done nothing to no one, if there was anything to clear up-done it 100 times over. Why’s are these freaks pursuing me I.e. the orchestrators. For 8 years, I’ve put aside my-
-likes, habits, grasping with the American dictators cruelty. Now after all that, they want to prostitute my life for entertainment while not disclosing what they do. American or not, what human being stands by while the orchestrators electrocute someone? -
- what do the orchestrators tell their following? Hey everyone, on behalf of the party school, we want are Renny to party like it’s 1999…
Moving to normal tweets again…
Americans are worse than the Germans were with the Jews In Nazi Germany…everything they do is superficial and not from the heart…
#Loki airs today on Disney Plus…
You’d be surprised how many things from ages ago, or even eight years ago, can come in handy, in the present day, today…
Saw The Wedding Ringer the other day…great movie…seeking a female best friend though, not an audience…
You gotta check out the @TouchofModern app from the App Store or Google Play Store. They have the coolest things for sale…
so a thought...-
-in a very convincing manner, the orchestrators make it clear to me that they're going to, subtly put, "do away" with me, while in this, or at the end of this. Something this big, after 11+years, even if it were just legally, the "situation" does not have a happy ending-
-i don't think my own parents go through my written material...for one thing, i think there's something paraphrasing what i write to them. regarding the rest of America, I think a filtered version is being delivered to you of what happens to me or what I write. -
- for some of you, you're in a fun game. keep track of where he goes, send it to the medium/platform - i guess?! There's the children like sounds, but at least so that group will help me, there is another group doing something else. -
- both of which are illegal. The children like sounds are arrogant. They're convinced its just them. When this first started, I called the police several times about this whole "situation", from start to finish, in its peculiarity. They lied to me and didn't help me. -
- When I went to the FBI, they gave me something to perpetually write on, for the hackers. The party school wanted to get rid of me and had their Conflict Resolution help the kids who started this instead of me. -
- The secondary group of orchestrators - for distraction purposes - and the primary group of orchestrators (to make their cause relevant with past trivial issues) want me to perpetually talk about the party school, the girl, and the random kids from the beginning of all this.-
- thats done, i moved on, i left the country cuz I didn't want to be bothered. But the orchestrators - their whole band - followed me there. -
- You as a people, because instructed or otherwise, talk about the past garbage that happened at the party school, like its the most-matter-of-fact-thing. But there is something else happening: abuse. -
-In myLife, in these 11+years, firefighters willExtend a hand, but also hide "theSituation." The police exert authority&play in2 the situation. The FBI enables theSituation. The partySchool wants 2 save its ownSkin. In an American conspiracy against 1 person, I left out 1 group.-
- In just going through past job application emails, I see the part where they ask you, "if you're a veteran?" They ask did you serve your country. Some people join the military for better opportunities after their service, and some are in it for the service. But when a normal-
- person thinks of a soldier, they think of someq going off 2 the Middle East &nabbing some bad guys. But we say "Thank U for ur service." Well, guys, myAmerican citizenship is being violated. There is a massiveConspiracy against 1 American. Illegal all around with illegal tech.-
- everyone is taking facts for granted and taking the extra measure of not talking to the person involved, for 11+ years. Being an American requires the extra step of compassion and a heart in your actions. While I understand you blow things up, I am in need of your compassion.-
- I am in need of an exemplary American, such as a soldier, "fighting for this country" (as they say), to defend my rights against a government that allows this to happen. It's been 11+ years. Why are you taking this for granted and not investigating?-
-If you were to help me, unlike the others who say through obligation, duty, what they were instructed, or mechanically: "Thank you for your service." , I would say it from the bottom of my heart. -
-Why won't even you not look into what's going and help me? Is it because of my Indian skin and do I remind you of the Middle Eastern Muslims that you're stereotyped to being against? Is it because I'm not a blonde white girl that you allow this to happen to me?-
- To fight for my citizenship's entitlement, you don't need to go to another country. Stop this illegal thing and the façade of the orchestrators from happening. -
-If its because you see me as an enemy, then do me the kindness of ending me like you do with the rest, rather than having these disgusting pigs of orchestrators keep their word of "doing away with me."
Verilux Sun Lamps - might give you an energy boost...
I think there are aromatherapy oils that you can apply on the skin for their health benefits...who knew...

The book traditionally called The Revelation of St. John the Divine, hereafter called Revelation 1:1-2 comments: my introduction
Why the King James Bible, also known as the Authorized Version, as opposed to more modern versions?
God gave the Scriptures by inspiration.
2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Inspiration gave the men who wrote the Bible understanding, which is wisdom to write what God wanted written but to include their own style, some of their own opinions, and even things that aren’t God’s specific commands but kept in for us to learn from. This is not always word for word dictation.
Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
2Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
God’s hand of inspiration extends not just to the original autographs but translations and copies and as Jesus clarifies God’s commands so can a translation make clearer what He wanted.
Jeremiah 36:32 Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
From the previous passage you would realize that you do not know nor is it important what the originals said because God wanted us to have the final result. It took about 1500 years with dozens of authors, their secretaries, copyists, and even translators to give us the Bible we have. It took about the same amount of time to perfect and complete that work using copyists, translators, and those faithful to it to give us a perfect and complete Bible to use even though in each generation mankind had the Scripture they needed to sustain them and give them understanding. God’s hand of inspiration is evident throughout. This is because of our sin nature and God working with man’s disposition and with man’s finite understanding to produce what He wanted. The doctrine that God only gave by inspiration the original autographs is as vain and blasphemous a doctrine as the one that insists that your church tradition is equal to the authority of the Scriptures.
Two important events in the history of human thought took place around the time of the publication of the King James Bible. One began in the previous century and was called the Roman Catholic Counter-Reformation, an attempt to overthrow the authority of the Bible in principle, the ones those people had and used before the Authorized Version, which was the foundation of Protestant and other Nonconforming Christian’s worship. The other flowed from it in the following century and was called The Enlightenment, a vain exaltation of man’s reason over God as an ideal. It can be proven, and I have done so to my own satisfaction, that all modern Bible translations flow from these movements. The King James Bible, also known as the Authorized Version, was the last major Bible translation done before these two movements resulted in German theology and rationalism that led to the modern apostasy of the exaltation of reason over revelation and a general Bible illiteracy among Protestant Christians.
God preserved His word through the ages using the mind and hands of fallible men. We should be so grateful that we have more of a revelation, a more complete revelation of God’s will than Job or Moses or Ezekiel had.
Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Psalm 119:89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Most fundamentalists believe that God’s word was found only in the original autographs, inerrant and infallible, something which they have never seen and which we cannot examine.
The King James Bible is the true Bible of God and our final authority in all matters of faith, practice, and doctrine. It is there for us to see, to examine, to question, and to study; and like Christ was physically touched by the Apostles we have God’s words to handle and He speaks to us through them. It is the last Bible translation before the victory of the Counter-Reformation, the Enlightenment, and the assault on faith by German rationalism. The final nail in the coffin of understanding was the consequence of scientists like Isaac Newton reducing the God of all reality to simply the God of the First Cause. It was a short step from there to not needing God at all.
One other thing to note is that modern, scientific man is so intent on breaking reality down into its component parts that he has a hard time seeing the beauty of the forest for the trees and even the individual twigs. Let us look at the verses in context and understand metaphors for what they are without creating an entire edifice of meaninglessness that the Holy Spirit never intended.
There are several ways of interpreting The Revelation of Jesus Christ, written under the traditional title of The Revelation of St. John the Divine. But, there are four main views that have been expressed throughout history. They are the idealist where the events here are all just metaphorical referencing some conflict between God and Satan throughout history and are not factual historical or future events. They include the historicist where the events begin at Jerusalem’s fall and chronicle church history. They include the preterist where all of the events of the book happened around AD70. And they include the futurist where these are future events. There is a little bit of all, plus some others, in a proper take on this grand book of the Bible, I believe.
https://probe.org/four-views-of-revelation/
It is possible to take the text of Revelation and divide it into two parts regarding the time of trouble and anguish on the earth. I will look at the events before the translation of the church, commonly called the Rapture, and the events after, as clearly shown in the text and by cross-referencing. What I show you may not necessarily line up with what you and I have been taught. It might but I am sticking as much as I can with the text and cross-referencing. In other words, it says what it says, not what I want it to say.
Before I get into the book let me insert here that Modernism is a heresy that, among its many faults, involves reading the Bible like a textbook or the owner’s manual for your car, cellphone, or computer. It results in a hyper-literalist interpretation of the Bible that clouds much meaning and understanding and the hyper-literalist often takes verses as standalone, out of context, to mean things they were never meant to mean. The Bible is God’s revelation of His ministry of reconciling mankind to Himself. It mentions science, history, geography, and politics but is not a book or collection of books specifically about any of those subjects. In fact, the Holy Spirit often just mentions an important event like Genesis 10:25 in passing. Was it a reference to God dispersing human families across the earth at Babel? Was it the creation of human races from the early human population? Could it have referred to the dividing of the continents?
In the same respect, Alexander the Great, who had such an impact on ancient history, is mentioned perhaps once in Daniel 8:21 with Roman emperors Augustus and Tiberius mentioned in Luke 2:1 & 3:1 respectively. These men occupy important places in human history but in God’s Book are of not much more regard than the common, “a certain man,” or, “a certain woman,” of many verses.
But, while the Bible doesn’t answer all of our questions about these topics it does answer what God wanted us to have about His ministry of reconciliation. Think of the Bible as a conversation between your Creator and yourself. There are things He wants you to know and understand and there are things He could not care less about and there are things we could not possibly understand in our finite wisdom. Who knows? There are some things we want to know that might drive us mad to find out.
Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
I want my Creator to speak to me through this book. I do not want to come to it with preconceived notions forcing it to mean things it was never meant to mean damaging my faith when overwhelming evidence shows those preconceived notions are not true. That being said, Revelation, which I will call it, cannot be interpreted, here at the end of the Bible, properly without cross-referencing and considering the entire Bible. So, now, let’s begin our journey understanding that I am just a common, ordinary Christian who happens to find great value in studying and reading the Bible. I am not a Doctor of Divinity, a Doctor of Theology, a seminary trained pastor, nor am I an authority on Greek and Hebrew. I simply can read and understand English and am proficient in using the cross-referencing tab on my computer Bible. I have also read the Bible through over sixty times. I prayerfully ask God to give me understanding and to be able to help others understand what He has given us. I encourage you all to write your own commentary.
1:1 ¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
Who was and is Jesus Christ physically? Briefly, I will try to explain.
God is composed of three parts, as man and woman are; a body, a soul, and a spirit.
1Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God has a soul, the seat of self-identity and will.
Psalm 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
This is God the Father, sometimes referred to just as God in the New Testament. He is invisible to us. As John says in John 1:18 and in 1John 4:12 no one has seen God, presumably God the Father, at any time. Every act of God’s will originates with Him.
God has a Spirit, how He moves throughout creation and acts on it and in it.
Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
This Spirit is called the Holy Ghost, the Comforter.
1Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you…26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Holy Spirit in its function, the Holy Ghost in His identity, is the mind of God and also God.
For contexts where the Spirit of God or the spirit of man can be synonymous with mind please see the following;
Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
1Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
God not only has a soul and a mind but has a body, His person, whom man can see, and has even touched, as God in the flesh, called the Son of God.
Hebrews 1:1 ¶ God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Colossians 1: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:15 Who is the image of the invisible God…
Of course, an image is the likeness of someone, what he looks like.
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
(Refer back to these verses when someone insists that the image of God is man’s ability to discern between good and evil, which is nonsense, as Adam was made in the image of God but did not taste of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil until he fell).
Jesus Christ is also the Word by which all things were created. Read the first 18 verses of the Gospel According to John. God’s mind formed creation and God’s Word spoke it into existence, bringing forth the light, which He is.
Genesis 1:3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
One stark difference between man and God is that God’s three parts can act independently of each other and still be one God.
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
2Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
God reveals Himself to special select people under the Law and to all believers under Grace.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
(To deny this is to say that the so-called ‘Great Commission’ of the end of Matthew does not apply to every believer but only the Apostles).
What is an angel?
An angel is an appearance of someone or some group of individuals who are somewhere else. It is that person or group’s presence.
Isaiah 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
Acts 12:13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. 14 And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. 15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. 16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.
For all intents and purposes it is that individual.
Judges 2:1 ¶ And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.
Judges 13:21 But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD. 22 And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.
Daniel 9:21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Galatians 4:14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
Revelation 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
Angels are also the spirits of people made perfect and complete by the Lord Jesus Christ, through faith in Him in a spiritual body that can never die.
Hebrews 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
At the end of this chapter angels are the appearance of seven churches.
Verse 2 - John is called to relate all of the things he is about to be told and to see, which he does. You may not understand it all yet and perhaps he didn’t understand everything he saw. But, you are told about it so that when you see it you will know. See Jesus’ talk with his disciples in John 14:29 and 16:25. A prophecy can be given so that when it comes about you will understand it, even if you don’t beforehand.
