Don’t get me wrong, huge shitbag and everything. Awful person. But I get intense vibes of so much of what he takes out on the women in his life (ESPECIALLY Maki and Mai) is also projection. And he HAS to be super masculine and shit because that’s the system that protects him.

Idk. It just. Makes sense to me.

Jayvik AU with no Hextech, no problems (except good old fashioned social disparity UGH), EVERYONE IS ALIVE, where Viktor never left the Undercity, and he's sort of Silco's ward/adopted son along with Jinx and occasionally Vi (in this universe the Zaun dads are FINE and together don't ask me how it just is), and he works and experiments with Silco growing up hearing talks about independence and progress, and he really wants to do good for the people of Zaun (and Piltover too when he doesn't scoff at how condescending and untitled they are).

Life goes on as always, trying to get by with the scraps that Piltover leaves them, until Zaun is finally declared independent and a few zaunite representatives are invited to monthly represents the newly recognized state at Piltover's council meetings, among them there is Silco who one day brings along Viktor, and THAT'S where sparks fly between him and a scruffy all too goody shoes named Jayce Talis, pupil of Piltover's academy and counselor Kiramman's protegée.

Literally, because they cannot stand each other at the beginning and keep snarking at each other during meetings about science, about rights, about ANYTHING really (mostly it's Viktor initiating because he's a menace and deep down he enjoys riling up Piltover's golden boy), and they keep doing it in every fucking meeting and everyone is SICK of them, until one day Heimerdinger suggests that they should work together since they are both so good at science, and they really would love to argue but EVERYONE in the council agrees, even Silco, and it would be good for image and giving the idea of a united front, so they suck it up and agree.

And then that's that forced proximity that helps them recognize each other's qualities, how Viktor is sarcastic as much as brilliant and fundementally gentle and that is snarkiness is just a defense mechanism for much more complex emotions and issues (Jayce), how behind Jayce's golden boy attitude who longs to be praised facade there is a genuine desire to learn and do good (Viktor) and they realize they do work well together, they like doing it, and... oh. Oh.

is "Laughs Laughed Last" a foreshadowing of the season and how things develop and end between the Janitor and Coco?

[spoilers to the ending of season 2 of Orbiting Human Circus]

i mean the lyrics: "Hear the laughs laughed last | Hear the words spoke last | Forgiven", it is in a way how both their relationship and the hospital scene go:

-> after singing it in the episode, Janitor says he thinks it means that "only the moments that we laugh together last". As far as i recall, almost every time they talk, Coco laughs or is amused by the story (in the real or imaginary conversations). By the end, the stories and poem Janitor tells him at the hospital are attempts to make Coco laugh (Bobo and Laetania's story, as well as the poem, are funny; and bringing up the end of the Platypus' story just to be interrupted by Mr. Chouinard was their inside joke)

-> the "last words" are pretty significant (both what Janitor said to Coco and to his great-grandfather before running away and later in the hospital scene what Janitor says and what Coco asks for) and lead to forgiveness (they don't say it is clearly there).

-> the dream, in which the song appears, is about mistakes and regretting them (which is the kind of theme of the season). by the end Janitor regrets the way he acted, Coco regrets failing Janitor's trust

-> when singing it Janitor "realizes this isn’t a song at all, it’s a wish!  It’s a prayer!" (in my brain this line is part of the song). And only after this Narrator's comment "Forgiven" replaces "This old year stands again" line in the song. Similarly, in the hospital scene, forgiveness comes after Platypus appears and Coco says his wish

I'll stop here cos i could write an entire paper on this (and how it corresponds to how Janitor changes in the season, and that it happens after the New Year's clock in the Janitor's story and how the crew appears because the last lines: "This old year stands again | Forgiven" and...)

Been pondering on my upcoming Durge character, and I think she might have been a cleric of [REDACTED] before the tadpole incident.

She's still a cleric by the time she wakes up in Squidland™, but it's a different god bestowing her powers this time (not that she can remember), and she can't for the life of her figure out WHO it is. That's until she's standing in the ruins of the Rosymorn Monastery, and something just goes "pling!" in her brain like WAIT A MINUTE.

Lathander is the god of birth and beginnings, of renewal and hope, and I just thought it would be so fitting that he would be the one to guide her hand out of the dark. He's also described as optimistic to a fault, so it seems fitting he would maybe take on a dark urge character who's trying her best. He basically saw her and went "I can fix her".

I also think it would be very funny if Lethander just snapped her up from under the nose of [REDACTED], like [REDACTED] does still keep an eye on her but she's not doing anything in his name anymore and is instead getting chummy with goody two-shoes over here.
