I just watched fury road after seeing furiosa last night and the difference in the quality of storytelling is just night and day imho. I see what they were trying to do with furiosa and it was very close to good, but it just didn’t hit the mark for me.

#this is my opinion pls don’t yell at me #the entire third rail was missing #I feel like the 5 act structure did not do as it was intended the lines were too blurry #everyone’s character arc was just a dotted line #stakes were waaaaay too low #I had very high hopes for this one so I’m bummed #fury road also hits a ton of tropes and storytelling techniques that I absolutely adore so the gap feels wider to me personally #visually stunning tho!#and I did like the symbolism #loved chris hemsworths slutty little crop top too

You know, I feel like we're not talking enough about the fact that Alastor has in his room a full reproduction (?) of a swamp-forest that's highly likely very similar to the one where he was killed. Talk about being morbid.

Edit: someone pointed out in the comments that the swamp-forest is called bayou. It's a kind of ecosystem in Louisiana.
