I feel like, when sci-fi stories get too high-concept, they start sounding like little children in the playground going, "THEN I USE MY DEATH RAY!" "THEN I USE MY SUPER SHIELD THAT STOPS DEATH RAYS!" "THEN I USE MY SWORD THAT CUTS SUPER SHIELDS THAT STOP DEATH RAYS!"
#You need. limitations.#you ALWAYS need limitations.#without limitations there's no stakes!!!#and there is also no way to FOLLOW YOUR STORY#when you get to a point when you can just pull godlike technology out of your ass#then I can't predict how anything's gonna go#and I can't judge what's happening against the rules of the universe#BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE#and then it's not a story anymore. it's more like a thought experiment.

D: Hey, hey, how much you wanna bet I can jump from the ladder to that chest without getting hurt? D: I'll land on all fours. M: I'm not sure I really want to bet anything on that, D... S: If there's anyone who could do that, it'd be you Debbie. D: Okay both of those answers are useless to me. D: Vilmr can you at least pretend you don't believe I'll make it so I can rub it in your face when I do? V: ... 🔆 D: Vilmr? S: You look deep in thought Vilmr, what's on your mind? V: I am just starting to wonder... V: If maybe we should ask Maja, if we should be streaming this. D: Are you serious. M: Do you mean from a legal standpoint, or...? V: I am thinking more about our karma. V: What if we are attracting bad company, observing this as skeptics? D: Well then you shouldn't have to worry because you're not the one seeing it. V: I can worry for your safety too, you know. S: It's nice of you to worry for us Vilmr, but I think it's alright. D: Yeah a million jillion people have seen eclipses before and ended up okay. D: Probably. D: I mean how else would we be here right now. V: Mmh... V: Maybe...
S: Oh hey, I know we can't tonight, but... S: You know what'd be fun tomorrow night? D: What? S: We should play night tag again! 🔆 S: Since the moon's so new it'll still be extra dark out. S: I know how much you like night tag Vilmr! V: Only if it's not in the woods this time! V: I hate it when Debbie hides in the trees. V: We can never find her! D: Hey okay, nobody ever said it was against the rules. V: Well I want it to be against the rules now. D: Pssh. D: Not my fault I'm super smart and think like, five steps ahead. S: Well, we could fly down somewhere more wide open if Yuan is around tomorrow night? D: Fuuuuuuuck yes, I'd be so down. M: Oh, I don't think I can tomorrow. S: *gasp* S: Oh my gosh right, tomorrow is your first night at the comic shop isn't it? M: Yeah, but I don't mind if you guys go ahead without me! D: Excuses, excuses... D: If you're scared of getting owned just say so. M: You got me, D. M: My job is just an elaborate ploy to avoid losing at tag. S: Well maybe we could save it for another day and go comic shopping instead? :> D: What the heck, are we gonna be shopping for like, hours? D: We could still play night tag, like, we can do both-- OH! D: Ohhhhh, if we do go though, Michael you BETTER remember to bring that hat. M: Haha, of course D.
S: *yawwwwwn* S: Vilmr, you still seem pretty agitated, are you that worried? V: What do you think? D: I'm not even gonna get innnnnnto this anymore! D: Honestly I think it's just so stupid silly. D: If you don't even believe in this stuff for real, what is even your reasoning this time? V: Debbie, just because I do not worship a moon god does not mean I do not believe in bad karma. V: With or without gods, things are always at play in this universe. V: It is not stupid, not to me. V: What happens if it really is a bad omen? V: What if we're doing something really dumb right now? V: Just to say you got to see it? D: Jeez Vilmr, you gave me your cell so you could avoid talking like this! D: I might as well be replaying Maja's voicemail, you two sound so similar. V: You are impossible! M: Vilmr, we're not the only ones watching this livestream.🔆 M: I'm seeing there's at least another fifty on the same page. M: Do you think they're in trouble too? V: Yes, I do. V: I'm really starting to think this stream shouldn't be up in the first place. V: There is a reason why this eclipse is in such a remote part of the planet. V: Think about it. V: The only places this can even be observed at all are either in the middle of the emptiest ocean in the whole world, or on the furthest edge of all of Halvma. V: Nobody even lives there. V: It's almost like nobody's meant to be seeing this one. S: What do you think is going to happen, Vilmr?
V: I! V: I do not know. V: But it feels like something bad. V: The air is biting all around me, I can feel it. S: Vilmr, I don't mean this in any sort of judgemental way or anything, but... S: You tend to say these kinds of things about a lot of things. S: And things usually end up alright. V: Ah, but see you fail to realise, you use the keyword: "usually." V: As in, not always. V: Sometimes, things still go bad. M: ...you do seem to have some pretty impressive foresight from time to time, I have to give it to you. V: Thank you. D: Okay well nothing's gonna stop me from watching this, sorry not sorry. D: If it means I'll die, at least I did it watching something cool, right Samantha? S: ... D: .........Smumantha...... S: Well now I'm nervous! V: And there is good reason for this! D: Well duh, you scared her into feeling that way! D: -_-!!! M: Okay, I know I complimented your foresight just now Vilmr but I really do think it's... a bit of a stretch? M: This time, I mean. M: Like, uh, aside from the fact that this might be legally dubious, D: enough with that already we gettttt it we get it. M: I think we'll be okay. M: It's not like we're actually seeing it in real life, you know? M: It's just a projection of it, after all. S: Oh, I guess that's a good point. D: Literally such a good point, probably the best point you've ever made actually Michael. V: Blughghhhhhh...
D: It's already about to start anyways, huhuhuhUAHAH!!! S: Ahhh no okay I'm still scared! M: It's just a video Samantha, nothing divine about that! V: Maja förlåt miggggggg... D: No turning back now, scaredyturds!

still processing... Euclydia...
More spoilery talk based on website and tBOB
//I think we absolutely deserve to hear Euclydia's stories and we deserve to hear them outside the context of Bill's distortions. At the same time though, I'm frustrated that we haven't been given enough information to actually judge Bill's case in full. There's plenty of support either way for: he did it purposefully and also: he did it on accident. He wanted to show them all in the punitive sense, and he wanted to show them all in the 'please understand me' sense. We have learned A LOT about Euclydia in the space of like, a week. We know the names of BILL's parents before we ever learned the name of Dipper and Mabel's parents. We know that Euclydians MAY or MAY NOT have been innocent of being destroyed, although there is that line about "EUCLYDIAN DEPT OF VISION SUPERVISION" and some vague noises here and there in the canon about 'irregulars' though it definitely is clearly NOT quite AS bad as Flatland's treatment of the same. Apparently Euclydia had things like velcro tabs and shoelaces and silly straws and eye doctors, so this was not an unadvanced species in general. But their voices are robot voices, and Bill has said 'flat world and flat dreams' about them, which was always somewhat metaphorical anyway, and more than a little dismissive. We also know it apparently operated on the physical logic of a Pac-Man game board (you go off screen to one side and come out on the other). If we take WM at face value, it had a flat ring around the world as well. They beg us to remember them. They ask why did you do it, Bill. The implication being that MOSTLY they do not understand, and that they were probably MOSTLY innocent.
Bill describes his family as stifling and getting in the way of his talents, and tells us that children at school used to make fun of him for 'setting fires with his mind' (and no one should take at ALL seriously those bits in tBOB where he says his birthday was a national holiday and that crap) - but the code we've gotten this week tells us that he was loved by his family, that they sang songs to him, that the hat he wears is either his father's hat or a copy. That he couldn't tie shoelaces until he turned 16. That now that he's being forced to confront all this he spends all his time in art therapy drawing red and blue triangles we are strongly encouraged to interpret as representations of his parents. (Another Stan parallel and let's not even try and make this and Theraprism AND the statue all existing all make sense with CANON CONFIRMATION Bill is still in Stan's head post-series, at least in part, right now AND whatever happened to Gus Burnside as well and which universe was THAT supposed to be happening in?!) What I can't seem to find in all this is the ground of truth. Bill's lies are lies. He's in Stanley's head. He's in the statue. He's in the Theraprism. He set poor ol' Gus on fire. He hated his world and wanted it burned. He loved his world and it was all a ghastly mistake.
This is just REALLY hard to wrap a head around. If Bill is all of these things simultaneously, then, well, EVERY CONSPIRACY IS TRUE and all that. And we're stuck in the worst kind of multiverse: one where there is NO GROUND RULE at all, and it's basically anything goes any time.
Let me just say, as a roleplayer? MAN AM I AGAINST THIS. There has to be some bright line drawn SOMEWHERE.

A coalition of parents attempting to block a state law that would require that the Ten Commandments be displayed in public school classrooms by next year have won a legal battle in federal court.
U.S. District Judge John deGravelles issued an order Tuesday granting the plaintiffs' request for a preliminary injunction, which means the state can't begin its plan to promote and create rules surrounding the law as soon as Friday while the litigation plays out.
The judge wrote that the law is "facially unconstitutional" and "in all applications," barring Louisiana from enforcing it and adopting rules around it that require all public K-12 schools and colleges to exhibit posters of the Ten Commandments.
DeGravelles, who heard arguments over the legislation on Oct. 21, also ordered the state attorney general's office to "provide notice to all schools that the Act has been found unconstitutional."
The law had dictated that schools have by Jan. 1 to comply. Attorney General Liz Murrill did not immediately respond to the judge's ruling but is expected to appeal.
Gov. Jeff Landry signed the GOP-backed legislation in June, part of his conservative agenda that has reshaped Louisiana's cultural landscape, from abortion rights to criminal justice to education.
The move prompted a coalition of parents — Jewish, Christian, Unitarian Universalist and nonreligious — to sue the state in federal court. They argued that the law "substantially interferes with and burdens" their First Amendment right to raise their children with whatever religious doctrine they want.
The American Civil Liberties Union, the American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the Freedom from Religion Foundation have supported the suit.
In their complaint, the parents said the law "sends the harmful and religiously divisive message that students who do not subscribe to the Ten Commandments ... do not belong in their own school community and should refrain from expressing any faith practices or beliefs that are not aligned with the state's religious preferences."
Steven Green, a professor of law, history and religious studies at Willamette University in Oregon, testified against the law during the federal court hearing, arguing that the Ten Commandments are not at the core of the U.S. government and its founding, and if anything, the Founding Fathers believed in a separation of church and state.
At a news conference after the hearing, Murrill dismissed Green's testimony as not being relevant as to whether the posters themselves violate the First Amendment.
"This law, I believe, is constitutional, and we've illustrated it in numerous ways that the law is constitutional. We've shown that in our briefs by creating a number of posters," Murrill told reporters. "Again, you don't have to like the posters. The point is you can make posters that comply with the Constitution."
In August, Murrill and Landry presented examples of how posters of the Ten Commandments could be designed and hung up in classrooms for educational purposes. The displays included historical context for the commandments that the state believes makes its law constitutional.
One poster compared Moses and Martin Luther King Jr., while another riffed off the song "Ten Duel Commandments" from the musical "Hamilton."
Murrill said no public funds will be required to be spent on printing the posters and they can be supplied through private donations, but questions remain about what happens to educators that refuse to comply with the law.
The state has anticipated that the case could go to the U.S. Supreme Court, which last weighed in on the issue in 1980, when the justices ruled 5-4 that Kentucky's posting of the Ten Commandments in public schools was unconstitutional.
Another state, Oklahoma, is facing similar lawsuits over a requirement that the Bible be part of lesson plans in public school grades five through 12, and that the Bible be stocked in every classroom.
When asked what he would tell parents concerned about having the Ten Commandments in public schools, Landry said in August: "Tell your child not to look at them."

Am I the [my organization won't let me say this word] for getting both my partner and my boss fired?
I (11F) work at a kid-run organization that stops oddities (like spaghetti tornados or flying books, a common occurrence in my universe) and puts villains who cause them to justice. Obviously, if you work for us, you can't be a villain: it's against our "do no odd" rule, and my precinct already lost an agent to the odd side a few years back...
But anyway! My partner (12M) has always kept to himself, but we're best friends and do EVERYTHING together, even outside of work. However, a few days ago, I found a notebook that listed all the villains' and their strengths, weaknesses, the like. I thought it would be super useful in defeating the villains, but my partner was in the list! When word got out, the agents who enforce the rules (12M and 12F) wanted to fire him, but my boss (??F, appears 8) said no, so we held a trial.
Turns out my partner was raised by an evil duck family, if you can believe it. He was their henchman who eventually switched sides, and my boss trained him in acting human and working at her organization. The rule-enforcers/plantiffs still weren't convinced, so they put me, as the defendant's partner, on the witness stand. They had me wear a truth helmet (like a polygraph but better), then asked if I'd ever said that villains could never reform.
I did say that, way before any of this happened, so I said yes; the helmet turned green to confirm. Then they asked me if I thought there was a possibility that my partner was still evil. I really, really don't know what was going through my head at the time, but I said no, and the helmet turned red.
The judge declared my partner guilty, and my boss was also guilty by association. Both of them were fired, and now I feel terrible... if I really believed my partner was innocent, none of this would have happened! Is all of this my fault?

god the way you feel about judges is how i feel about the school board so i almost skipped the section - glad i didn't, because there's a Majorly transphobic candidate (i'm in one of the most liberal parts of the country!! wth!!!!)
Oh my god I feel you. School board elections matter so much. That's the big race around here this year too -- we're electing a school board for the public school district for the first time ever, in my city's whole history, (previously it's been mayoral appointment) and I've gotten more school board election spam than presidential, and it took me an hour of reading websites and interviews to sort through platforms and figure out who I even wanted in there because there's so much.
Because like, everybody around here knows who our state electoral votes are going to (we are still voting anyway! we will not be complacent! but yeah we all know.) But we don't know what's going to happen in our schools, and like --
Look, if it all goes to hell. If god-for-fucking-bid, Trump wins. We still have to live here! Kids still have to go to school, kids still have to grow up, and if we're about to be living in a fascist dystopia the question is suddenly, who is responsible for damage control? If we're flooded with ICE agents, who's deciding how teachers will be allowed to support kids from immigrant families? If social services disappear, who's budgeting for hot lunches (and breakfasts, and dinners)? If the Department of Education gets dissolved, who are the locals making the decisions on curriculum and standards? Who's the official body ruling on what state and federal policies about institutionalized transphobia get applied and how?
In the face of a potentially deadly overthrow of federal power, our local governments can be either an enforcer for fascism, or our bulwark against it. They matter.
Hell, the fucking Metropolitan Water Reclamation District matters (where I live)! Probably like 5% of voters here know what that office is even about. They're the people in charge of how our wastewater gets treated and released back into public waterways. Half the people running for the board this year are ecologists and residents of the most heavily-polluted areas of the region, and the other half have worked for some of the biggest corporations doing the polluting.
Just. Also. There are 94 judicial elections on my ballot this year. Ninety-four. 77 of those are retentions. I do not have it in me to research 77 separate retentions. I just don't.
So BallotReady, and InjusticeWatch, and begging the universe for the strength to endure. And maybe just voting to fire everybody because judicial turnover is good for the system, and voting at all is better than not. If I can't do the judges at least I can do the school board. If you can't do the school board at least you can do the President. God help us, we do what we can.

Let's Analyze and Rank Every Song in Hazbin Hotel (From a Narrative Perspective) From Worst to Best
Hazbin Hotel has a pretty good soundtrack. The songs are definitely one of the better parts of the show, they are well-sung, well-composed, and just incredibly catchy. As songs completely divorced from the context and narrative of the main show...they are really good...
...however, Hazbin Hotel is also a musical, meaning that the songs also have to play into the narrative of the show. I want to try something different in this post; here, I'm going to rank each song in Hazbin Hotel not as songs, but rather, analyzing them from a purely narrative point of view, what they do for the show's characters, plot, as well as what happens in them, factoring in the outside context and narrative of the show as well as looking directly at the lyrics.
Because, when you judge Hazbin's songs from a purely narrative standpoint & factor in the outside context of a lot of the show's writing...many of the songs begin to completely fall apart. without further ado...let's get into this ranking.
16. Hell is Forever (2/10)

A major issue with Hazbin that I've talked about a lot on this blog is how heavily black and white the show's themes are in spite of the show preaching about being against black-and-white moralities.
Charlie is always portrayed as completely in the right and anyone who remotely opposes her is portrayed as automatically in the wrong despite the fact that, her "everyone can be redeemed" mentality is just as simplistic and black-and-white as Adam's "no one can be redeemed" mentality. But the show never calls that out and only tears down Adam's ideology while portraying Charlie's mentality as completely right despite it also being just as extreme as Adam's, but the show never chooses to call that out.
Adam is also nothing but a pure straw character who only exists to be torn down by the narrative and thus can't have much real depth or nuance as a character beyond "asshole who swears a lot" (which I talked about before).
The reason why Hell is Forever is at the very bottom of the list is because the song puts those issues on full display. It exposes how black-and-white the show's theming is and how much of a strawman Adam is.
Lines like "the rules are black and white there's no use in trying to fight it" or "are they winners? are they sinners? cuz it's cut and dry" not only sound awkward from a song perspective but also sound very forced from a narrative perspective; it's shoving down the "Heaven bad" message down your through and simply shows how one-dimensional Adam is as a character, very explicitly saying "HEY LOOK HOW BAD HEAVEN IS AND HOW MUCH OF AN ASSHOLE ADAM IS!!!"
Those lyrics show Adam being a pure straw character at his worst since they no-so subtly communicate the idea of "Heaven bad" in a way that's forced and awkward. Those aren't the only lyrics that show this, as there is the verse where Adam says "There's the question of fun (fun) and for those of us with divine ordainment...extermination is entertainment!".
It insinuates that the exterminations are purely a game to Adam and the exorcists and they do it because it's fun, which does no favors in further cementing Adam as a one-dimensional pure straw character.
Ultimately, while Hell is Forever exposes how black-and-white Heaven's way of thinking is, the song also exposes how black-and-white and simplistic the show's own themes and messages are, making it the worst the song in the entire show from a narrative point of view.
15. Out for Love (3/10)

Out for Love, like Hell is Forever, puts one of the show's major writing issues on full display and ends up even validating it in-universe. Out for Love’s entire premise as a song is that Vaggie needs to fight for her loved ones (specifically Charlie) rather than just for vengeance. This works fine enough until you start factoring in outside context within in the narrative.
First of all, Carmilla says that Vaggie is "driven by her detestation" and is fighting for pure vengeance….but she isn’t. Vaggie was never thirsting for vengeance at all, she always thought for Charlie, one of the lines in Whatever It Takes literally says that Vaggie will be Charlie’s armour, as in, she’ll try and protect her no matter what.
So Vaggie was never driven by vengeance in the first place so this song’s message doesn’t make much sense. Oh, but I haven’t even gotten to what this song means for Vaggie as a character.
The main issue with Vaggie as a character throughout the show is how she is heavily defined by Charlie, not just that "she doesn't get developed beyond being Charlie's girlfriend", no, I mean EVERY SINGLE major character moment Vaggie has is tied to Charlie in some way.
Out for Love accentuates that issue, being Vaggie's second big character moment where she has to fuel herself with the desire to protect Charlie, to fight for Charlie and ONLY Charlie. The song even confirms that Vaggie is defined by Charlie in-universe with the line "Fuel yourself with the fear of losing that somebody who's you reason to live".
Vaggie can't exist without Charlie. She can only be Charlie's partner and girlfriend. She is only defined by Charlie. She is just "Charlie's girlfriend". All of her character moments revolve being a good girlfriend to Charlie and defending her.
Out for Love while having a good message on paper ends up putting of the show's major issues on full display like Hell is Forever and the message flat out validates an issue with the show.
14. Whatever it Takes (3/10)

Whatever it Takes has a similar problem to Out for Love in terms of what it does for Vaggie as a character. It, like the former song, it keeps on pushing the idea of Vaggie being solely defined by Charlie, as Vaggie's verse in this song is purely about her singing about how much she wants to protect Charlie and the best girlfriend to her.
Again, it has a solid enough message on paper (singing about how you'll do anything to protect your loved ones) but in the context of the rest of the series this only further damages Vaggie as a character and further cements Vaggie as just "Charlie's girlfriend".
This song is intended to be a major character moment for Vaggie, but the problem is that character is tied directly to Charlie. Again, Vaggie's big character moments revolve around Charlie in some way, making her whole character tied to Charlie.
The song also has other problems with Vaggie directly tied to the lyrics. The lyric "It felt so good to be understood" is pretty weird to me, because how did Charlie make Vaggie feel understood? How did Charlie understand Vaggie in anyway? Since when was Vaggie being misunderstood apart of her character? Because it never was.
The song is also supposed to be a big emotional ballad for Carmilla, where she sings about her motivations for why she killed the angel, that being she wanted to protect her family and do whatever it took....
....which would've been impactful if Carmilla wasn't a character introduced in this same episode that the show barely does much of anything to get you to care about. We haven't gotten to know Carmilla much as a character so this whole moment feels unearned and unimpactful.
Whatever It Takes, like Out for Love has a sweet enough message on paper, but factoring the outside context of the show's writing damages the song significantly.
13. Finale (3/10)

Finale has a similar problem to You Didn't Know (which I'll cover later) in how despite being this grand, big musical number, it feels empty and hollow.
The first verse has Charlie mourning over Pentious' death which would've been fine if his death wasn't played as a joke in the same episode right before the episode then instantly treated it like a big moment. Then the verse further shows how hollow this song feels when Lucifer says that Charlie was the "first one to change this town" and how she helped everyone grow into better people and "touched their hearts"
....except she didn't. Lucifer, please tell me, how did Charlie remotely change Hell in the slightest? Sure, she proved that sinners can become better people, but this line implies that Charlie made a difference in Hell and changed it to be a better place in some way...when she didn't. She never "changed" Hell as a whole. And the part where Lucifer sings about how Charlie "helped the sinners become better people & grow" doesn't feel impactful because we never saw that growth happen.
Characters singing about how much they've grown doesn't work when we never saw that growth actually happen. The song wants to be this grand number about how Charlie helped souls improve as people but it falls flat within the context of the story because we never saw this process of Charlie helping Pentious and Angel to become better people, rather the show just completely skips over that.
Then the characters start singing about how they'll rebuild the hotel and make it even better than before to cheer Charlie up...
...why are they still trying the hotel after Heaven REJECTED it? Seriously, Charlie's plan to convince Heaven FAILED, there isn't much of a point to still continuing the hotel at this point since they KNOW that Heaven isn't going to accept it. They know they can't get sinners in Heaven because Heaven's rules are bullshit.
Oh, and this is not the only part of the song that doesn't make any sense in the context of the story, as then there's the V's singing about a power gap in Hell...that didn't happen, yet they act as if the extermination happened all across Hell when it was only toward the hotel and everything else was completely unaffected. How are overlords "hanging by a thread" exactly???
The final verse is then this grand final chorus about how they'll "be better" and redeem themselves and all I can feel is just...nothing. Because the show never earned this grand big final moment to make it feel impactful.
Finale is intended to be this grand final song about how much the characters have grown but it all feels empty and hollow because the show didn't do anything to actually earn this moment at all. I feel nothing when I listen to this song. Absolutely, nothing.
12. You Didn't Know (4/10)

I already made a full analysis of You Didn't Know so this section won't be nearly as long as the others, but like the other songs, from a story perspective You Didn't Know feels unearned and hollow. The main issue with the song is that although it clearly TRIES and gets you to feel something...it doesn't, which is entirely because of the show's outside writing.
Though again, I've already talked about this song before in a previous post where I analyzed each verse so go read that if you want my full opinion on why the song fails from a story perspective.
You Didn't Know just feels hollow, it's this grand, big musical number that's meant to be the climax of episode 6, a song that's BEGGING you to feel something...but it doesn't.
11. Happy Day In Hell (4/10)
Happy Day in Hell serves as the very first song in the show and Charlie’s I Want song.
For older fans, it doesn't really tell you anything new about Charlie as a character and is kind of redundant as a song, it just says that Charlie is optimistic and believes anyone can be redeemed, which is something Inside of Every Demon is A Rainbow already did.
However, to newer fans who haven't seen the pilot or any supplementary material, Happy Day in Hell could serve as a good introduction to Charlie as a character can tell you a lot about her...except that the rest of Hazbin doesn't seem to be made with newer fans in mind. Overture is written as a direct continuation of the pilot, and that would be fine if the episode reintroduced the characters for newer audiences...but it doesn't. It seemingly expects you to have already watched the pilot or any other supplementary material before seeing the show, meaning that it's catering to Viv's past audience.
With that in mind, Happy Day in Hell becomes a lot more confusing. If this is supposed to be an introduction to Charlie for newer fans...why wasn't the rest of the episode written like this? And if the show is expecting you to have seen the pilot, then Happy Day in Hell becomes completely redundant since again, Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow tells you everything this song does about Charlie as a character, and that song did it with infinitely better visuals. Sure, there's Charlie singing about how she wants to change Heaven's mind and prove them wrong etc but anyone who watched the pilot would already know that, so a song isn't really necessary.
Happy Day in Hell would have been better if the rest of the episode it was in wasn't written the way it was. With the context of how the rest of Overture is written, Happy Day in Hell just comes across as Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow except...worse.
10. Hell's Greatest Dad (4/10)

Hell's Greatest Dad doesn't make much sense. Alastor seemingly dislikes Lucifer for some reason and starts playing up a fatherly role to Charlie purely to piss her dad off...for some reason??? I've seen Cartoonshi try to make an explanation with this:
"This is an instance of Alastor just being petty because, underneath his smile and the persona he's crafted for himself, he cares a lot about his own reputation and doesn't take it well when people don't seem to respect it or have any interest in him"
However, as Cartoonshi later points out, Alastor's first reaction to Lucifer is twitching his eyes in rage, which is BEFORE Lucifer "disrespects" Alastor's reputation, so it still seems like Alastor has some unknown beef with Lucifer for...some reason? We don't know. The song also suddenly builds a father-daughter bond with Charlie and Alastor out of nowhere...? Again, this could be Alastor just purposefully trying to piss Lucifer off but like. Why???
Hell's Greatest Dad just suffers from Lucifer and Alastor's rivalry just kinda not making much sense and rushing in a found family dynamic at the last minute.
9. More Than Anything (Reprise) (4.5/10)

More than Anything Reprise has a similar problem to Finale and You Didn’t Know where the characters sing about how much they've grown and how much Charlie helped them grow when we never see that actually happen, all of that growth happened off-screen.
A big reason why this gets annoying is because it ends up feeling a form of telling rather than showing; we're TOLD that Charlie helped the characters grow and become better, we're TOLD that Charlie changed Hell as a place, we're TOLD that she "changed the lives" and "did so much" but we NEVER SAW that. We never saw Charlie slowly help Angel and Pentious become better people, again, a majority of their arcs happen off-screen and they end up feeling rushed.
Aside from that I just care very little about this relationship. Chaggie is a pretty boring relationship with little chemistry between them so I can't really feel much from this song. It's a cute enough moment I guess but again, I don't feel very invested in this relationship.
More Than Anything Reprise while a cute moment suffers from the same issue as the past songs and I can't really feel much for it since I don't care much about this romance.
8. Ready for This (6/10)

This is where we start getting to the pretty decent songs story-wise. There isn't exactly that much wrong with Ready For This aside from how some of lyrics are...weird for Charlie as a character.
A lot of the lyrics are about Charlie "coming to her own" and "ascending to her throne" when that was never something that was apart of her character...? Aside from that most of the song is fine. It's Charlie singing about how she’s accomplishing her destiny, which is consistent with Charlie since she was also singing about her destiny in Happy Day in Hell, so there isn’t too much "characters having grand musical numbers that don’t feel earned" here, aside from the previous problem I just mentioned.
So overall, ready for this is a fine song in terms of what it does for the narrative. It has problems, but its better than the previous few songs.
7. More Than Anything (6.5/10)

More Than Anything suffers from one big issue that harms the song, mainly the final verse. Basically, Charlie just says "I need 2 save mah people" and Lucifer is just like "ok". The reconciliation is kinda rushed here, and, since this song is meant to be Charlie and Lucifer reconciling, this tanks the song quite a bit. That being said, there is stuff I like about the song.
For one, it provides decent development for Lucifer and Charlie as characters, with Lucifer singing about how he didn't want Charlie to be faced with the same crushing feeling that he faced when Heaven rejected him, showing that in spite of his flaws, he does deeply care about Charlie as her daughter. For Charlie, the song gives the information that Lucifer inspired Charlie as a child, inspiring Charlie to fight for her dreams to become a reality.
Also, while it's still rushed, the song is still a cute moment between the two, with them reconciling and Charlie being able to bring back a spark within Lucifer, with him promising that he'll support Charlie's dreams, and how he's grateful for being her father, and that Charlie is grateful for being his daughter.
While More Than Anything does still feel a bit rushed, it's still a cute moment between two characters.
6. Welcome to Heaven (7/10)

Welcome to Heaven also doesn't have much wrong with it narrative wise. It basically just serves as world-building Heaven, which is fine, and the world-building it does provide does really have any major holes in it.
Don't really have much to say here.
5. It Starts With Sorry (7/10)

It Starts With Sorry is pretty good. The song is basically about Charlie deciding that Pentious deserves a second chance, singing about how she'll take his redemption one simple step at a time, beginning with him simply saying "Sorry". She believes that any soul can be redeemed though it may take some time.
She recognizes that, Pentious isn't all bad, seeing a decent person deep down. The message of the song is sweet and there aren't any real narrative issues with it. It's actually pretty good narratively and sets up Pentious arc decently well (though that arc is rushed but hey).
4. Stayed Gone (7/10)

Stayed Gone is a pretty fun rivalry song. It's a duet between Alastor and Vox, two visceral rivals, one TV and the other radio. The song does do a good job of showing Vox's pettiness in their rivalry, with his whole cool and levelheaded facade completely shattering at the mere mention of Alastor. His whole verse is spent on how Alastor's medium is "outdated", insulting him, calling Al a "coward" and among other things. Alastor meanwhile, spends his whole verse poking fun at Vox, right before he pisses of Vox so much that he starts buffering and he ends the song on a menacing note.
Again, not much to say here, Stayed Gone is just a pretty fun song that does a good job at showing the rivalry between Vox and Alastor.
3. Poison (8/10)

Poison is a song that does its job pretty well. The song is meant to show Angel Dust's struggles at the hands of Valentino, who now owns his soul. The lyrics emphasize the direness of Angel's situation; how he's trapped at the hands of Val, slowly dying from poison he's being forced to drink, being trapped in the claws of a cruel rapist sexually abusing him for his own pleasure, constantly being tortured every single night.
He believes it's his fault for his situation, that he can only blame himself for falling to Val's lies and his deal, that he should have seen what would have happened when he made the deal with Val. And now, he's just...accepted it, believing that this is just his life now and he'll be all for Val in any way he wants him to be.
And the song ends somberly as Angel falls to the ground after the night. It defiantly does capture the struggles of someone being SA'd, and does a good job of showing the horrendous mental state Angel is in.
I know a lot of people REALLY hate the Poison sequence for apparently fetishizing SA, but I'm analyzing the song, not the stuff shown in it, and to me, I think Poison does a great job of showing Angel's horrendous mental state and struggles, and does add a lot to Angel as a character.
2. Respectless (9/10)

I used to criticize Respectless for feeling more like a conversation that the characters are singing rather than a song, and it does still kinda feel that way. However, I don't think the song is unnecessary anymore because it establishes a lot about Vellvette as a character.
The song shows Velvette being overly smug, arrogant, confident and bratty, not having any respect for the authorities higher than her, doing whatever the fuck she wants and not giving a damn about the higher authorities think, having no respect for them. But the song also demonstrates Velvette being cunning and smart, being able to tell that Carmilla is hiding something based simply on the expression of her face when she first brought the angel's head.
She instantly knows that, Carmilla might know what happened to the angel. The song displays a more developed personality for Velvette as a character in just one-minute than characters like Adam or Crimson or whoever the fuck did in multiple episodes, making Velvette one of the best antagonists in all of Hellaverse (which I talked about here). Respectless also continues this theme with Carmilla demanding that Velvette check her attitude, calling her and the Vee's "Smug wannabees who don't head when they've been warned", giving off an impression of an authority being made at the disrespect being thrown at her, which Velvette just responds by smugly saying "oops".
The song also does do a good job of furthering the plot along while doing a great job of showing off Velvette's personality. Respectless overall is a great song that furthers the plot along while telling us a lot about Velvette as a character.
1. Loser Babey (10/10)

I'm assuming y'all did not expect this song to be number one, huh? Loser Baby seems to be fairly divisive amongst viewers, a lot of people love it, others despise it. Personally, I think the song is pretty great.
A common critique that Loser Babey gets is supposedly making fun of Angel for being SA'd, and, I can see why some people may see the song that way considering the first chorus. However, it's best to factor in the verse that comes before that chorus (holy shit I'm defending HH. I am just as surprised as you are).
The first verse is Husk singing to Angel about how he's at rock bottom, the lowest point anyone can be, his life being wrecked from his deal by Val, it all looks dire and hopeless as Angel is trapped in a dark situation with no way out, believing his life to be a trash fire at this point...and Husk says that he's right! His life IS a trash fire, he IS in a dark situation, he IS at absolute rock bottom, he's a "loser", if you will. Admittedly saying he's a loser might be a bit iffy but you can still see the point; Husk is saying that Angel is completely correct, that his life is a dumpster fire where he can't try and fight back, but he says that he isn't alone in this.
Husk had a similar experience with Alastor, where, like Angel, made a deal with an overlord and lost everything, regretting that decision for the rest of his afterlife as he's trapped at the hands of Alastor, with every day of his life being torture for him now, like with Angel. Granted, Husk's situation isn't 1 to 1 the same as Angel's, but there is still a parallel with how they made bad deals with overlords that they lived to regret, how they became trapped in these deals that seemed appealing at first but worn down when the overlords showed their true colors.
And so, Husk tells Angel that, it's better to set down the walls he's built for himself, letting hope back into his life and finally having someone he can bond and relate to due to having similar experiences. He's no longer alone. His situation is still bad, but at least now, he has someone who he can bond with and help push him through his situation, and that person ended up being Husk, the last person who he thought would have gotten him to open up.
I know I'm going to get a lot of people who'll disagree with me and that's fine, but personally...Loser Baby is the best song in the whole show in terms of its narrative. It provides great character growth for Angel & Husk, does a good job of furthering their relationship, and (in my opinion), has a really sweet and beautiful message of how you aren't alone in a dire situation, and that's best to let others help you rather than sulking by yourself in the dark. You aren't alone. There are people who may have had similar experiences to you, and it's best to let them in rather than shun them away.
And the thing is; Loser Baby is not only the best song narratively, but musically, making it overall the best song in the whole show. It's one of the only songs in the show that manages it be great in both categories, like a musical show should, which is what makes this song truly stand out compared to the rest of Hazbin's soundtrack.
It's the best song in the whole show, hands down.
Conclusion
Well, that was long. In all honesty, the songs lower on the list might have been better if the writing around them was better, since that's a problem a majority of them suffer from. If Vaggie wasn't defined by Charlie, Whatever it Takes and Out for Love wouldn't be so low, and if we got to know Carmilla and Emily better, Whatever it Takes and You Didn't Know would've been more impactful.
Really a lot of the songs just suffer from being in a very mediocre and flawed show, and the reason why songs like Loser Baby and Poison were high was because the writing around them was actually good, but hey, the good ones were still able to pull through in the end. So ya, that's my ranking...bye.

The reason new MST3K, and Star Trek, and Star Wars, are not "as good" or "the same" as the original versions is because:
That first rendition of a thing was a result of a team of specific people working together under specific circumstances, at a specific time, to make a thing. Unless you recreate those conditions exactly, you're not getting that art again. Because this was a product of unique interactions under unique conditions. That's how that happened. That's what a "product" is.
And we take that product, don't care where it came from, and declare it a new standard by which all else shall be judged, henceforth. Which is a thing the product wasn't intended to do, that we randomly decided to do with it. On the basis of nothing besides "I like thst thing." Which means nothing, because it has no connection to the product itself. It's our random feelings about a product. That's us doing something emotional with a product. It's not a tangible, quantifiable thing that can be measured and dissected. So how can we judge other products against that? It's doomed. We're being unreasonable. Especially since any new product can literally never be the original product, because see 1.
This seems intuitive and simple, but I literally just realized it. Art is made by artists doing art, when and how they do it. It's the result of a complex of random variables. You are never getting that situation back, so you are never getting that art again. Wanting it is fundamentally stupid.
Any new art builds on the old. So immediately, that changes the variables. That changes the standards. That means, new art. New product. Another, different thing.
This is why things made by fans emulating art are different than that art. They're doing an entirely different thing, for entirely different reasons. They're going to make a different thing.
"YEAH BUT THERE ARE STANDARDS!"
Set by who, based on what? That's entirely subjective. You can't articulate qualities of art that are universal. Critics claim they can, because they want to be important and get paid to do it. But they're lying. Art is consumed emotionally. You can't define the terms of that for everyone who consumes it. It is literally, intrinsically, impossible.
People making new stuff in the spirit of old stuff, or directly inspired by it, are making new stuff. That doesn't change, no matter what legacy brand name you slap on it.
"Yeah but it should be funny!" "Yeah but it needs to have good characters!" "Yeah but the politics need to be a specific thing!"
Those are rules you made up, as a consumer, based on how you consumed it. Based on your tastes. Maybe you can find 8 million people who agree with you. But that doesn't mean you're right, or that it matters. That just means your opinions aren't unique, that you aren't special, and that a lot of other people are also making unreasonable demands of a thing they had nothing to do with making, and have no right to judge.
Like a new thing, or don't. That's the extent of your control over this situation. Claims to anything else are nonsense, and will only be indulged by other fools who don't understand the process of making art. And in the end, no matter what anyone claims or attempts, all they'll ever get is new art made by new people. Because that's the fucking process.
Unless you just want AI to clone what already exists, over and over again, forever. But that isn't art. It's product, sure. But just a copy of a thing. And how many times can you look at slightly different iterations of the same thing? What's the point of that? You already have the original thing you can look at again. What are you doing, and why are you doing it? Aren't you bored?
And if not, that means you aren't consuming art as a product, you're using it as a safe place to hide away from the world. Which is not the purpose of art or consumption. That's a traumatized person refusing to confront the reality of their emotional problems. And that has nothing whatsoever to do with the art or the product.

The candle burns away in my hand. I lit it up five minutes ago, but the wax is already running on the shaft, destroying the pretty shape. People always ask me why i'm buying candles so pretty, if it is to see them destroyed in a puff of flame ; but pretty things always burn away, whether I like it or not.
And, at least, I know you can see them, from up there, or wherever you are. You deserve the prettiest things this life has to offer. You saw so little of them.
Wax is running on my hand. I smile. I've felt far worse burns, but I guess it is the signal to put it down.
"Hello, my dear."
The picture on the desk hidden in my room can't answer. Surrounded by a pendant, a circlet, books, so many of them ; our wedding rings are on a plate in front of the black frame where a brown-haired man smiles at the camera with all his teeth.
"It's been ten years as of today, hasn't it ? Time sure flies, when you don't look at it pass. It feels like it was yesterday you were sitting next to me on the porch, idly enjoying life."
The candle dims, as does my smile. They said it was a suicide, they ruled it as a suicide, didn't even let me go to court to dispute that claim. This is what you get when you are called a pimp.
Him and I, we were standing against so many human trafficking networks. Offering a place for the prostitutes, putting my family fortune and reputation to work while he was defending the girls against everyone coming to their arms.
Such lives often end up in blood. And, all alone, I had to surrender my business to hide in France. Try to lay low and not attract too much attention on the Reyes aver again.
I didn't fight much anyway. Because I couldn't have done this alone.
"... A lot happened, in those two years. I went back in France, opened a library. My cousin Mesange helped me settle before disappearing from my life. I guess she doesn't want to be associated with the former brother manager, once the pride and joy of the Reyes."
I stopped caring long ago.
"Don't worry, I haven't stopped what we've done best. Recently, i've started heberging a young girl, or person, if I'm not mistaken. They were homeless for such a long time they were looking like a hunted beast. You would have taken them without even thinking."
I turn towards the library, where Ivani is sleeping. They didn't want to sleep in my flat, that I understand ; I just asked her not to let any of their belongings in the public area. It was easy. They don't have a lot. Some crystals, some incense, a tarot card deck, and bags I don't need to know what is inside. Some clothes, not a lot, but still better than most homeless people. Gift of a friend, they told me. A friend that had luck before them.
It's so late in the evening, I should go to sleep, too. But it is a special day, today.
"Also, I... met someone."
My smile is back. Much sadder, much more guilty, but there.
"It's a strange girl. Tall, so tall, even compared to you. An incredible intelligence sgining in her eyes, yet, she looked so lost, in my library, searching for a book she already put on the shelf five times."
I remember the first time I approached her, wondering if everything was okay. She looked at me with the startled eyes of a stray dog, and I understod she wasn't here only for the books, more to think. I didn't impose after that, but I couldn't stop watching her.
"I believe she's a student at the university a few blocks away. Psychology, judging by her recent borrows. The scars on her face tell me she saw much more than the university."
The same were on his back, when I undressed him for the first time. People who saw death and blood and ran away from such a turmoil. brave enough to know when to stop.
"Her name is Lubell, I believe. Lubell Yang. I haven't had ti time to talk with her properly, but I'd like to. The way her eyes were lighting when she was reading reminded me of you."
The candle runs out of wax, extinguising the flame.
The entire room is deep in darkness now. I can still see clear as day.
"I should get going. See you soon, Kaï."

Armada headcannons and AU info
This post will be updated as I think of more information to add, but it will have all the current information listed about this megatron! The headcannons will be broken down by past, present, future and miscellaneous information that didn't quite fit into the previous 3 sections.
Past:
Long before he lost his memory, armada was once a part of a fairly stable family. He was originally born in a universe where the war never happened and optimus and Megatron were bonded. Both led cybertron and had armada as their sparkling.
Because of his origins, armada inherited the powers both of his parents had. However armada doesn't know how to use them all yet. He still has a lot to learn.
Most of what he knows now was either learned by accident during his battles or unlocked by minicon power
After he woke up in another universe armada spent most of his 'childhood' on the streets of a place called cyber city, where he was often beaten and starved. He survived on any energon scraps he could find and out of desperation, he has eaten and cannibalized other bots and would do so again if given the chance.
Because he spent most of his life fighting for energon scraps on the streets, he adapted to survive on the bare minimum. Even after his success and acquiring adequate energon supplies he unfortunately retained it as a habit and often forgets to eat until his reserves hit critical levels.
Armada has taken over and still resides in cyber city, with the tallest tower being his headquarters. He rules the city with an iron fist and he plays the role of the judge, jury and executioner, dishing out 90% of criminal punishments himself.
Armada is the one responsible for performing surgery and many cruel experiments on the minicons. He is the very reason why all the minicons have the ability to power link.
Present:
The minicon hunt goes on for a longer span of time in this au, spanning a few decades instead of a few months or years.
When armada went to earth to hunt down the escaped minicons, he did not station the decepticons at the moon base because he was completely unaware of its existence. Instead, the decepticons made their base inside an old mine somewhere in silver ridge Nebraska.
A group of people were exploring the mine when the decepticons came and they were imprisoned shortly after the decepticons arrival. Armada interrogated the people and began experimenting on them to see if they could be used for anything, but during one of the experiments a person exploded and their remains splattered on the tyrants face and went into his mouth. After that accident, he has been hooked on the taste and regularly goes on hunts.
While the autobots and decepticons had the earth, the minicons were the ones who took residence inside the moon base. They worked tirelessly to turn the old ship into a fortress to prepare for the decepticons assault when they attacked
The optimus of this universe is the one who is responsible for cutting off armadas horn. He stole the star saber from Armada and used it against him, permanently marking his body. Optimus kept armadas horn as a trophy and armada still holds a grudge against him to this day.
The scar optimus left on him still causes him pain and occasionally produces migraines of varying intensity. He usually tries to sleep them off, but if he can't he becomes more annoyed and aggressive due to the pain response
Armada eventually found out about the moon base and attacked it, immediately failing and retreating. He regrouped and conducted a second attack which succeeded, giving him control over the moon base. From there he'd perform attacks from space using satellites he'd repurposed into weapons.
Armada has been known to modify his body in the past to become stronger, but once he came to earth he began doing more durastic modifications in order to become a better minicon hunter. His body is loaded with traps and equipment to capture the tiny bots
Future:
There is a time in the future when the minicons get fed up with armada and forcefully attach to all 13 of his minicon ports. They unleash all their power and begin to melt parts of his body. However, to their dismay, armada is able to resist them and absorb their power instead, becoming stronger, changing his colors and evolving into galvatron
Miscellaneous:
Armada smells strongly of battle, different types of oils, metals and iron because of his organic meals. (Think of a walking mechanic shop but with a strong bloody scent)
Because he came from another universe, armada is the only bot who has that specific frame type, basically meaning that his body is entirely unique to himself and nobody else.
Armadas minicon, Leader-1, has Stockholm syndrome.
Armada values his horns above all else and takes great pride in having them. He regularly sharpens and polishes them and does occasionally use them in battle. However, he does not like having them touched because they are sensitive.
He is a masochist and enjoys getting scars in battle.
He keeps an old data pad that has a catalog of every scar he's ever gotten and how he got it. It has over 500 pages and over 80% of his life story on it
Armada has done almost all of his body modifications himself. His body is loaded with traps and ports specifically designed to capture minicons.
Armadas shoulders are a massive blindspot to him, he cannot see directly to either of his sides unless he raises his arm out of the way. When facing forward, both shoulder treads are in his peripheral vision.
Armada would never consider the possibility of being the carrier of a sparkling.
He rolls his treads when he's bored and has nothing to shout about.
Armada has natural lipstick in his cybertronian form but looses it when he gets his earth disguise. Back in the day when he still had his lipstick he was a kisser, he would kiss bots and leave them with lipstick stains because he knew nobody would believe them

Bad Takes
So a number of you on here probably know who Asmongold is. And for the most part even when he is off the mark I can understand where he is coming from. Except for on 2 points that I will not concede.
The first is a bit from this video early on that happens in the first 3 min of the vid. Feel free to watch it but I'm going to go on a tangent. Here's the video however for reference.
youtube
Asmon here says that "If you threaten someone you should get a ban 100%" And my stance is that NO you should not. And I can articulate why easily.
If you receive a threat, you report it to the police. In the recent case of the guy saying, "Would you like to be r***d", yeah he was being an obnoxious shit. But she muted him earlier on in the game and was talking MAD shit prior to her video. Several people also confirmed that she unmuted him for content and to try to go viral. Which she did. And she baited the entire thing. And I might hear you say, "That's not an excuse" and you are correct. It's not. But if you have a threat levied against you, and you are REALLY that bothered by it, no matter how BS it is, then go through the legal applications of the law.
Now why do I say no to a ban? Simple reason? Theft isn't ok. Now I'm not going to get to specifics because people will argues the semantics but if a game bans you, or you get console banned, a company has effectively deprived you of a product that YOU purchased in a legal manner. IE: If they take away your ability to play the game at all that IS THEFT! I will not be convinced otherwise. And if we open up that avenue as that "Allowed option" more companies can exploit that. What's the extreme version?
Imagine that you buy this fridge.
When you purchase it, you unknowingly (by purchasing it) "sign" a TOS that says that this fridge can be taken back at any time if the company feels you do not "Stand for their values". For a person like Asmon, that might not mean much, because he's loaded. But for the rest of you, You can't just go out and buy a new fridge on the fly. But that's the logical result of this line of thinking. You OWNING NOTHING. Fun fact. People will argue that "Well it's in the TOS" yeah I'm aware. But I also know that the legal system is FUCKED and that when software cases have been ruled on often it's in favor of the consumers. Even against Apple. Who are known to have tried to put people in jail for jailbreaking their own phones.
Fact is if a person well funded actually went to court over this most TOS's for games would be overruled by a judge as illegal and not legally binding. What's more, terms like "Purchase" and "Buy" imply ownership after the transfer of the funds takes place. These companies in fact SELL games for PURCHASE. Not for lease. The only issue we have faced with this not having precedent put to it is because these companies have A LOT of money and will often pay a person off just to settle the case. Because they can't afford to have it ruled on the merits. I will stand by the fact that if you get banned from a game, no matter what the reason why, it is theft.
Having said that, I will say that I can ultimatum. I'm pro, "Mute the people you don't like or block them". And contrary to what the lady said in the video it's not victim blaming. Reality is a harsh and cruel place. You will NEVER sanitize it enough for the Puritan cult on either side of the isle. EVER. Should the world be an unsafe place? Not a question I can answer because I live in reality. And short of living in the injustice universe at the moral whims of a tyrant dictator in the form of Superman and Wonderwoman, the world will NEVER be "Safe". Whatever that means to whoever you ask.
The next clip is this one. Around the 7:30 mark.
youtube
More or less it's a short statement of, " the outcome of this election won't affect you".
Eggs are insanely up in costs
Gas is only down a LITTLE bit because Biden is selling off ALL of our reserves to try to win over voters
Biden has imported over 400,000 illegals from countries that do not care about us and have lost track of a LARGE number of terrorists that the found had crossed the border
Rent has skyrocketed since Biden took office
Biden has only managed to RAISE inflation because he can't actually get it down do to insane ECO policies that are based on BUNK "science".
People are living paycheck to paycheck more now than the years under trump
We are facing actual fears of WWIII
Biden, the day this "verdict" was announced approved Ukrainians to use US firearms in their fight against Russia. A fight they have been losing, all the while we burn money sending it to them.
So this bullshit of, "This election won't affect you" is a crock of shit. Normally Asmon is good about keeping his takes grounded because he started out from relatively humble beginnings. But this trial was a fucking sham. Every single trial has been a sham. And every single step of the way everything has been unprecedented. Up to and including the instructions to the jury that stated, "It doesn't matter what crime you think he is guilty of so long as you think he is. With a veiled threat from the prosecution, and a trial by a judge whose daughter is funding democrats off the trails meaning it was a conflict of interest, and the instructions to say, "It does not have to be unanimous so long as you think he's guilty of something".
If this was happening to literally anyone else, ESPECIALLY a non-white democrat, the media would be demanding action by the national guard and antifa to burn down the courthouse because of this GRIEVOUS abuse of the law.
Fact is we are poorer as a country than we have been in decades. Our money is losing it's worth by the day, and Asmon is to blinded by his wealth to understand what the stakes are. Which makes me honestly pretty sad.
His other points in the videos are off and on but those are the two I wanted to cover the most.

Urgent Message From The Universe🌻🧹👂
Pick A Pile Reading
Breathe...and Choose!🌻
(Left to Right--- 1,2,3)

Hey, Senstea Souls! This is a general reading. Take what resonates and leave what doesn't.
Pile 1
Tarot Cards- 7 of Cups, Justice, The Emperor
Hey, pile 1. I see that you wish for so many things. You daydream a lot. At times you ask for things or make up certain scenarios that in real life you wouldn't want to happen. The message is simple yet urgent. Something you've been wishing for is going to come true. And you will be given options. Your job is to be cautious while you make a wish and don't let your emotions rule your decisions. There's a surprise that is going to make you flabbergasted. You are going to love it. But it's still cooking. So you may make a wish but think twice before doing so. Something hides behind the curtain of justice. Please appeal for the thing you deserve. Things may not look like as they are. A scary crow may look like an angel and an angel may look like a devil. Please do not judge a book by its cover. The universe is trying to reward you for your karma but there are energies around you that wouldn't like you to receive this gift. Think straight, and follow your intuition. Control your mind and rest will be taken care of.
Pile 2
Tarot Cards- Knight of Wands, 3 of Wands, Wheel Of Fortune
Hello, my dear pile 2. I see a new opportunity coming your way that may want to redirect you. You'll be learning a lot if you change your decision. There is a vision and then there's a strong desire that you can't shake. You're cautious but still moving in the opposite direction of your calling. The decision is in your hand. The wheel is waiting to be rolled as soon as you decide to choose a path. Now the turning of the wheel is in your favour or not depends on what decision you take. On one road you would be asked to take the leap of faith and be ready to learn and on the other road, you'll be going to and fro from assessing the risk of one situation to another. You've almost mastered something on one hand and on the other, you are a beginner who has a long way to go. There's a one-time risk on one hand and then there's a lifetime of risk on the other. Make a choice. My advice is that there's no harm in learning new things. It's your destiny calling you. It may look a bit risky but eventually, the choice is yours. You can come back to what you were doing before but once you miss this opportunity who knows when is it going to come back again?
Pile 3
Tarot Cards- 7 of Wands, 4 of Swords, Page of Swords
Ah! My dear pile 3. You are going through a battle. The world seems against you. Mentally and physically you seem exhausted. It's high time that you take a step back. No need to prove yourself to others. If they think you're not good enough laugh at their naivety and walk away. Because you know you are. You wouldn't cry if someone said that your blue hair doesn't suit you while your hair is not even colored. You have great wars to win why are you wasting your time on such petty battles? You deserve to be fighting somewhere else, showing your light somewhere else. You can't make those believe in the sun who sleep when the sun rises. They don't know that the moon gets its light from the sun and you making this point would not change their belief. Hold onto what you know. Forgive those who don't know any better. It's better your surrender to the divine. You need rest. Eat, sleep, and exercise. That's all. Stay at home if you want to but make sure you do not deprive yourself of fresh air and the natural beauty of the world around you.

See I don't think I'll ever get over Jason Todd's story.
It's been said a million times, folks are probably getting bored, but I can't emphasize enough on what actually happened and how it was dealt with.
Jason came back from the dead. It doesn't matter that that's common in his universe, that almost everyone in his family was dead at some point. Ignore that. Let's not water anything down.
He came back from the dead.
He was a dead son, a dead brother, a dead friend, a dead kid. And after mourning him, somehow, against all known rules and laws and logic, Bruce got him back. Bruce got his son back and instead of being unfathomably, overwhelmingly, insanely, uncontrollably overjoyed - he quite frankly beat the shit out of him. He judged him, threatened him, almost killed him and so on.
It doesn't matter what Jason did. I'm sorry but it doesn't. The initial reaction of his family should've been happiness at his return. Whatever shit Jason did and caused could've been handled after that, and in a much smarter way.
Imagine your last thought being the person who represents safety for you. The person you pray will save you. Imagine coming back to life and looking for that person only to see you've been replaced and your murderer free and allowed to do to others what he did to you.
Jason's not a black sheep, a mistake, an outcast or anything like that and I'm serious when I say I'll die thinking that. He's a kid who went through the most traumatizing thing ever and he was left to handle it alone.

News of the Day 3/31/25: Fighting Back
youtube
--- We'd be lost in another universe, frozen in a single moment. We'd have nothing. --- You would have hope! And right now, that is exactly what you don't have.
(This got a bit long-winded. Bear with me.)
For all the frankly objectively horrible things coming out of the Signal scandal, it couldn't have come at a better time for Chuck Schumer. And for the Democrats generally. Not only are people talking about something else after the Great Continuing Resolution Embarrassment, it's something that's almost a holy cause. Certainly a straightforward one, and one that's near and dear to any conservatives of substance left to be found.
To be clear, I'm obviously not glad about the security screw-up. Of course not.
I do agree with the Guardian here. The frustration over Chuck Schumer's actions on the budget fight aren't just down to bad policy (debatable) or bad messaging (.... yeah, definitely on that point) but also a fundamental misreading of the current political moment (again: emphatic yes). Which doesn't actually mean he doesn't have a role to play. He's actually pretty good at legislative strategy in normal times, and I'm hopeful finagling cloture votes and knowing the Senate by-laws might actually be useful.
But it does mean we need leaders and brawlers and just overall voices from all corners. And maybe his mastery of arcane Senate rules isn't the most important arrow in our quiver just now. Even if he's a good Senate minority leader, that doesn't mean he needs to be at the forefront of the Trump opposition. It really does take all comers just now.
I am seeing more of a response. Granted, I read the news and watch MSNBC *coughs* more than most, and maybe it's not getting foregrounded enough for the less obsessive to see it. But it's happening. You're seeing it in the massive protest demonstrations around Tesla stores, the town halls, the fired people going on the news about what they did and what it matters that their work's not getting done, the veterans and teachers' union leaders. The lawyers and law firms and judges who aren't letting themselves get cowed.
Which isn't to say the institutional Democrats don't have huge problems right now. Hoo boy, do they, both in their responses and how people view the brand. I'm not trying to be Pollyannaish and I've got lots of links below the cut digging into that as well.
So. I can't promise even the best responses will make a difference. My point is people are finding their voice and doing what they can, and i really will take all hands if we're to have any hope at all. Or as the wise old Gallifreyans said:
--- I didn't know when I was well off. All twelve of them! --- No, sir: all thirteen.

"I dunno Hunter, you being a clone of a witch hunter, while bad, is not comparable to Luz giving Belos THE load-bearing component for his entire rise to power, dictatorship, and genocidal plan." Can we not compare trauma between children? Please and thank you. No one expects Hunter to handle his trauma perfectly; he certainly is handling it better than most people in his situation would, but trauma is never anything pretty to witness. Sure, it's nice of Luz to be nice to him, but that's not what their dynamic used to be like, so you can't really expect Hunter to do a perfect 180 when most of season 2 is them not getting along and being antagonistic. Hunter did feel bad about the way it came as seen with him turning away and frowning, but it ultimately comes down to Hunter not being ready to confess the truth and Luz agreeing to it along with newfound understanding on why Hunter doesn't want to tell the truth just yet. It's fine if you're supportive, but you shouldn't force them out of the closet despite this support.
Also I'm sorry, but Hunter was literally the right-hand man of said guy and was enforcing his rule that would lead to genocide, meanwhile, Luz gave Philip a light glyph he would find eventually. Luz admittedly did less than anyone on Boiling Isles to contribute to the genocide, was tricked like everyone else, and her input in helping Belos could've been replaced by anyone, as Hunter himself points out at the end of TtT (which is also him making up for the shitty thing he did at the end of S2 and S3 as realistically that what he should've said right from the start in a perfect world where nobody is flawed; and I doubt the placement matters as I do think he would say the same thing regardless of what others have to say). Hunter isn't just sad about being a clone; it's about him doubting how much agency he has in his own life because of being a clone. He's literally a tool made to aid Belos, and he knows that.
Amity's mother gets lost in the escalation of the entire DoU. Sure it's nice nobody is judging her, but there are tons of other things to worry about.
Why do people ALWAYS have an issue with a child making trauma all about themselves? THEY'RE CHILDREN, THEY ALWAYS MAKE THE PAIN ALL ABOUT THEMSELVES, THAT'S PART OF GROWING UP. Children LEARN empathy, they learn they're not the centre of the universe. However, when you grow up in an unhealthy environment in which you have no other choice but to fend for yourself, you are going to, by default, be oblivious to the pain of other people, because you're used to looking out for yourself most of the time to survive. Hunter making this all about himself is consistent and natural for children who suffered abuse; that's the ugly truth. It's always the "no one understands MY pain". You can't have Katara be even a tad bit selfish in Southern Raiders when it comes to her trauma with her mom without making her a monster, you can't have Lapis Lazuli have every right to be sceptical of trusting Peridot or throwing herself into another fight against the Diamonds, you can't have Terra be so eaten up by guilt by aiding Slade to the point she fails to realise how terribly BB would take the news, I don't know anymore-
I wouldn't say Hunter dragged Luz down to his level to have company, at least not consciously or willingly, but do you really expect him to make good decisions after everything? Children sometimes don't realise how much hurt they can unleash. Amphibia is an entire show about toxic relationships.
It's the LEAST Lilith can do because indeed her damage is far bigger and she's an adult. By this point she has zero excuse to not step up.
I do love the fact that you actually point out how Hunter indeed wasn't Luz's big brother, and I agree their dynamic was toxic. Sometimes it happens too when friends at times feed into their worst trait, Garnet and Amethyst from SU come to mind, especially when forming Sugilite. I can't entirely disagree with Hunter and Luz's relationship being a bit parasitic (aside from maybe Hunter saving Luz's life too a couple times, but that's a bare minimum on the Boiling Isles) so I do hope that if TOH will ever get more content that involves the present generation (and not Eda's generation) than Hunter WOULD return the favor and help Luz out and pay up his debt.
What gets me about Luz and Hunter’s reunion in Clouds on the Horizon is that she’s being nice!!! She’s trying to be nice! When she brings up Hunter being a Grimwalker so casually, she’s showing him that there’s nothing to be ashamed of, Luz is being supportive that way!
So when Hunter spits back whether she told the others about helping Belos, it just comes across as cruel like. You can feel the way Luz flinches internally at that. She’s just trying to help and now you’re making Luz feel shitty about her own trauma? And obviously Luz isn’t to blame for it, but I dunno Hunter you being a clone of a witch hunter, while bad, is not comparable to Luz giving Belos THE load-bearing component for his entire rise to power, dictatorship, and genocidal plan. Especially when you’re about to see how nobody judges Amity for getting DNA from her genocidal mother who’s involved in that exact same plot.
I guess more charitably, Hunter was asking Luz to see if her friends were okay with her, to verify if they’re okay with him. But it also comes across as Hunter implying he does lowkey judge her for it, or think Luz is responsible. And I guess his logic is consistent with himself but then at the start of S3! Luz is so fucked up about her friends hating her, and after Luz took Hunter’s place to save his life and ended up traumatized for it, Hunter attempts to reassure her… Only to immediately pivot the subject to his trauma and his secret and how he’s afraid the others will hate him. Making it about himself.
Luz and Hunter’s dynamic in S3 just came across as… the worst of everyone’s, because it was this maladaptive echo chamber of poor decision making. Where they just fed into each other’s worst fears and encouraged isolating themselves from the others when discussing it, so they couldn’t get any help from that; Almost this vibe of, “Nobody else will love us for this, but at least we can love each other!” It’s not really solace, it’s the opposite. But it feels more like they’re just sticking together out of the obligation of the shared trauma they went through, this curse, more than actual happiness or choice.
It was actually deeply toxic and people don’t acknowledge it enough; Hunter wasn’t really being Luz’s big brother, he was lowkey dragging her down to his level to keep himself company, like a tar pit. Like I guess he was alike his uncle in that sense, as well as making Luz feel worse about this thing she didn’t have any real responsibility over. In the grand scheme of their screentime, there’s Separate Tides, where they were enemies… Hunting Palismen… A text… Hollow Mind, and then Clouds on the Horizon onwards where they make their trauma pact.
What gets me is that by Thanks to Them, we actually see Hunter get to feel better about being a clone, realizing it no longer has any bearing on him, getting to be happy and excited with Cosmic Frontier… Hunter’s getting better but Luz is getting worse, having suicidal ideation and reaching her lowest point when she makes the decision to exile herself. It makes their scene together in the basement sweet but just affirming of the problem; Luz is comforting Hunter, telling him he’s family.
But then he’s not really returning the favor by realizing, Oh hey if I feel better about this, so should Luz! It feels like an inverse of Hunter asking Luz about her own secret back in S2; Luz is trying to validate Hunter over his trauma but he feels terrible so he also makes Luz feel worse. Now, Hunter’s feeling better about his trauma but can’t offer the same to Luz. Eventually Hunter does the whole “You were tricked, it would’ve been done through anyone else, at least you’re here to fight!” but only after confirming Luz’s friends were chill about it, instead of deciding Screw it I support you no matter what!!!
I’m torn between liking the idea of a scene where Hunter acknowledges what he did to Luz, VS not really needing anymore Hunter screentime so like. Eugh. At least in the next special, Hunter’s arc involves gaining an awareness of how he’s making it about himself and needs to focus on his friend, via Willow; So I suppose the idea was conveyed in spirit without having to be in exact word. In the end, Luz and Hunter found happiness and acceptance over their traumas AWAY from one another, via other people in their lives. Otherwise they were bad for each other, with Hunter being worse.
Jeez. Lilith almost killed Luz but somehow her behavior feels more apologetic, and it helps that she spends a lot of time uplifting Luz when she can, and didn’t contribute to the girl having a suicidal depression; It took only two weeks for Lilith to begin supporting Luz, she even left for a while to fix her own health without making Eda’s kids deal with the fallout of the process! And of course Lilith and Luz having the time of their lives when time traveling, Lilith giving Luz genuine advice.
Meanwhile, Luz has done everything for Hunter; She helped kickstart his arc, she gave him Flapjack, her friends helped Hunter and they likely wouldn’t have been in the headspace to do so without the development Luz sparked for them! She swapped places with Hunter to save his life and then got deeply traumatized for it, and continues to be supportive of him. But what has Hunter done for Luz, in the grand scheme of what I just mentioned? He told Luz how it wasn’t her fault after two months, after waiting for others to say it, and in the end it was Camila who got through to her. I guess a parasitic connection involving the idea of Luz doing things for him but not the other way around really does give Hunter another parallel to his uncle!

Watch "Shinedown - Second Chance (Official Video)" on YouTube
youtube
The song sounds horrible but it's not the message that I sent to my mother and father that you believe here. It's about when I was young and I decided to expose what kind I was and I did it on purpose and I told him that sometimes me being away from us as a second chance for me and us and they knew what I was talking about and believed it would work and they helped me.
The second part of the song is very important I made a display on Jupiter to express what the problem is
*you here on Earth who are us will understand when I tell you that Jupiter was struck by part of a comet that smashed into another one and it was Haley's and a shoemaker love you and Haley was destroyed it on impact and shoemaker broken to pieces and impacted Jupiter of course I encourage mine to find comments and asteroids and hurl them to the suns to destroy them, and I've done my share of it as space to breathe it impacts a planet across the universe could destroy this solar system 3 days from then and all you would have left to comment with humans here would be a blink.
The corky and others are similar to these comets and asteroids and nobody really gives them stuff because that's childish and foolish and asinine to assume that people who are completely out there and gone should get stuff they just turn around and try and use it on people and that's what happens and it's by history and there's been tons of it recently and we're collecting devices day and night we have most of them in
I'm speaking to the idiots on the boats and about them because what they're doing is asinine and angering there's dumb as an asteroid
Zues
It's very well put and it is what it means it's what the song means and John remillard is dead yes and he's wrong and he's an idiot he thinks he can be in my husband so we're going to get rid of him and we're going to get rid of him shortly and putting it in now but he says is it's an urgent request from the both of us and a plea because nothing else has done it permanently yet
Hera
I did receive it just now and it says what you said and more and I'm going to tell you she's actually in tears and needs it done she's emotionally strong and she is tired and he is too this idiot is wearing him down and won't shut his face my son is getting the better of him and it's getting better and better and he's beating on him and humiliating him and tearing him to pieces and using him up I'm going to make sure it stays that way and make sure he's gone he will die his general grievous and he will not be remembered for being a good person in any way he is a huge a****** and a schmuck and comes out and says what he wants to do without you saying what you're going to do or if you do he doesn't care why nose leave damaged him very badly and he still does it and our son is going to consume him and have the landlord do it and it's kind of a joke too because the landlord said for you to move out and you're going to and he wanted you out and you didn't leave so now you're going to be a dead man and your fate is already decided and you'll see it starting to happen and you become fatalistic and nobody would like you at all and be surrounded by animals and watch your own get eaten every day and that's the payment you're going to get for your vulgar behavior yeah and he's dahmer too and he deserves it. It's coming up regardless of your inane arguments or your whining you've earned it and it's going to happen to you and you're going to court again and you got caught again and the judge has ruled against you one more time and there is going to be a trial for your wrongdoings another one and you can't handle what's going on already at all he also ordered to go to court tomorrow if you don't show off you'll be arrested here until you go then you're going to go to prison what you did today and yesterday you're a pig and you're a bum and you're a loser you don't want you coming out in your underwear you're a f**** too and our son does not want to see you at all you're a man and you're ugly and you're a slob and your stink like s*** and you eat s*** and you bathing in it you're human piece of garbage in your dead man and it's going to start up pretty soon. Your brain is already being moved around by several people it's not just Tommy everybody hates you and wants you dead.
Thor Freya
Get off me you piece of s*** there's dumb as a dog Trump. It starts when you do your count doku character it's the beginning of the end of you Trump. It is where you take over the lizard person's body and that is Yoda and you get placed in there I think by Biden. He hates you like I do. A lot of people hate you and you're a stupid f**** about it I want to kill you for dumping my apple juice out it's not the ACT it's just what you meant and everybody knows it and they started hitting you and taking your stuff and you're too stupid to stop now you have nothing you had 95% of the world's wealth and you're down to probably 20 now they're saying 10% it's still a ton of money and stuff so they're going to go after you now.
So don't do Willy Wonka Trump it'll be your undoing and your permanent on doing cuz the sad particular character that gets you killed. It does start elsewhere though and you do go to Lord of the rings before it and you get to see your people eating in front of you which is not massively new but you mess with The Rock and he gets you back a little bit but really you've been messing with Biden for a long time... They tried to assassinate Emily you try to in Star wars with some sort of bug and Anakin stops you and that's bja and you get hit as the lizard man. And you go up to the starkiller with them and you get fried because you didn't listen and then you become general grievous and we think somebody puts you into the robot not exactly who I think it might be Mike too
Zues Hera
We approved this message to go out
Olympus
We do too you should sit there and suck on it Trump we mean the story you f** it's such a f** he wants to kill you for dumping out his apple juice and we've killed people for that too but we killed your whole Army off almost and the rest of it's going to go and buy your hand and then you are and it is because of that too we didn't want to see that s***
Thor Freya
