Jeez Az...it was just a joke...I'm sorry. Also. I did not dare you to pick any flowers. That was someone else. *this chara looks a bit hurt but you can tell from the look on their face that they know they deserve it. They sigh and leave*
Tumblr media
Frisk sighs sadly and Flowey resists the guilty feeling that's attempting to bother him, Chara leaves before he can get a chance to speak and explain himself anyway.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before Flowey gets a chance to get mad, he gets very distracted by Frisk's reaction, finally noticing the golden flower on Frisk's head.
Frisk grins and laughs nervously: "Oh?! Was I?! I guess I was just a bit flustered and embarrassed by the teasing! Not to mention Flowey was yelling very aggressively! I'd say blushing is a completely normal reaction!"
Tumblr media
Flowey finally remembers himself and gets mad again.
Flowey: "Frisk is right! And I have you know that I was going deny it, I just had to lecture you nosy fools first! Nothing is going on and no one has any romantic feelings!"
Frisk: "Yeah! Nothing! We're majorly and exclusively PLATONIC BEST FRIENDS!"

AKANE AKANE AKANE
Soooo uhhhh (thank you for your attention over my fanarts) but uhhhhhhh FRISK DOESN'T LOOK VERY POSSESED. THEY LOOK SORRY AND SAD I WANNA GIVE THEM THIS TO FEEL OKAY, JUDT LOOK AT THEM.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now Frisk, my dearie, have this.
Tumblr media
I've turned Caraw W. W. into a merchandiseble plushie.
(Frisk, if Kris wants that plushie too, share pls, or tell me so I make another :3 )
Oh no. The Player(s) left as soon as Frisk entered the world of Deltarune. Both Frisk and Kris have been acting on their own since the start of the story. They just didn't notice it until page 26.
Okay, Kris noticed it. Frisk didn't know anything about a Player or any possession. They assumed EVERYTHING they did in the underground was them. So in a way they and the Player were on the same page for ALL of it (but more on that later)
So yeah, possession wouldn't be very satisfying of a plot point here.
Tumblr media
Anyways, here's this. Sorry if I messed up your character's colors. I only had one reference to go off of

Meet Ink Frisk and Chara, an UTMV redraw
(Ink Sans belongs to Comyet)
My friends helped me figure out a whole bunch of character mashups for me to draw! I’ll be doing the rest of UTs main cast as different UTMV characters.
(Bonus image and more ramble under the cut:)
Tumblr media
@humankk and @bee-the-aroace-dragon said that Ink Sans would take Ink Frisk and Chara under his wing (and would keep them away from the more 18+ AUs) so have a sketch of that. Because I love the thought of Ink Sans mentoring little Color Drop.
Now for ramble! This was supposed to just be a reimagining of Ink Sans’s role in the Multiverse, though I’ll admit that I’ve named them and have a few head canons… so for anyone curious, here we go!
Color Drop:
- They prefer going by Frisk and Chara, but if there’s multiple Frisk or Chara around, they go by Color Drop.
- If you have need to refer to only one of them, (Why would you, though? We’re pretty much the same.) Chara answers to “Color,” and Frisk answers to “Drop.”
- Similarly to Ink Sans, they come from an abandoned AU, where Frisk was the main character, and Chara was attached to them as a ghostly narrator. Frisk was the only completed being with a soul in that world, though Chara was also fully aware.
-Frisk, however, was not originally aware of Chara’s presence as an aware being, as Chara was stuck only narrating things.
- By nature of Chara’s death, they do not have a soul of their own.
- When Frisk almost destroyed their soul in hurt and confusion and despair, Chara latched on and took it for safe keeping. It’s now stored in a recreation of their locket. This was when they both fell into the nothingness.
- Being stuck in the nothingness is where Frisk learns more about Chara and that they are aware.
- Neither of them know how to return Frisk’s soul.
- Frisk can still feel because of the proximity of their soul, but it’s more numb than they were used to. They need the paint to feel as strongly as they once did.
- Due to Chara’s lack of soul, they use the paints to help them feel things. Being closer to Frisk also helps them feel because of their mental link.
- Chara is tangible in the doodlesphere, void, and antivoid (when they want to be)
- When visiting AUs, Chara is intangible. They can also go back to just being in Frisk’s mind where no one else can see them if they want.
- Frisk is the one who makes most of the choices and actions, but they don’t talk a lot. Chara prefers to leave things to them, and mostly narrates and provides commentary.
- Chara and Frisk share a mental link where they can talk telepathically.
- Despite having different and distinct personalities, sometimes they struggle to figure out where “Frisk” ends and “Chara” begins.
- Frisk is selectively mute and uses ASL or a tablet to write out what they want to say. They speak aloud on occasion, but it’s rare.
- Frisk’s colored hair isn’t consistent. It’s constantly changing which strands are highlighted.
- Frisk’s favorite character in the AUs is Papyrus. It’s why they chose the red scarf.
- Chara’s favorite is all of the Frisks. (They also love Sans and his jokes and pranks, though they won’t admit to it, especially considering how many Sanses out there hate them)
- If you manage to separate them somehow… Things will not go well. For anyone.

After Yellow
What's it's story anyway?
Tumblr media
After Yellow will not have a comic for some reasons;
I'm too lazy to do this
I have trouble thinking that nothing is good enough
To be quite honest, the comic is bad and poorly written.
There's no point in having a story made without knowing how put it into practice
But I don't want to leave my au without having it's story shared! I have a lot of affection for this, it took me a long time to write anyway.
Anyway, let's get started
What is the story of the AU?
Chara and Asriel's plan went very wrong, and while the prince returned underground, an adult with the soul of justice followed him wanting to "avenge the child" that Asriel carried in his arms.
The monsters were devastated, they lost both heirs to the throne on the same day! So his protections were down when the human attacked. Half of the population was killed, Asgore and Undyne were two of the thousands of victims. Toriel, seeing everything around her, laid down a new law; The next human to fall would be killed and their soul would be used to break the barrier. She no longer had compassion for humanity, her entire family was killed by a human! Anyway, when Frisk fell underground, he was the third human to get there.
Looking around, they had no idea where they was.
Frisk was playing in the forest when this happened and they didn't even see what they had done.
Anyway, on their way underground, they found Flowey. The flower desperately tried to feel something, but nothing worked. When he saw the human, he was initially with one foot behind, but realized it was just a... child.
Flowey decided to follow Frisk on their journey and help them get out of here. Heading to Snowding, the human met MK, also a child whose parents were victims of the massacre. They didn't remember what a human looked like, when it all happened, MK was just a baby, so they didn't realize that Frisk was one of them.
All the monsters would hide wherever the trio passed, all afraid of what the human was capable of. That's why Frisk at no point had the obligation to defend themselves against anyone. Anyway, MK guided Frisk to snowding, where Sans was. Sans was the first guinea pig with the determination experiments, and also the only one so far. He thought that what was the point of living in this place when some human could fall and kill his brother? But unfortunately, his body couldn't handle the determination within him. His bones are slowly melting and rotting from the inside out. Sans at this point can no longer walk without crutches. That's why, when he saw Frisk together with MK, he couldn't stop their journey.
The children continued walking until Watterfall, where Mad mew mew showed up! the leader of the royal guard and the second scariest woman in the entire underground (second only to the queen). She wasted no time and tried to kill the human, hunting the child with anger in her eyes. When MK tried to stop her, she told him that Frisk was a human and why she wanted to kill them. Even knowing this, MK didn't let her do anything to Frisk and helped them escape to Hotland. Unfortunately, having to stay behind.
Frisk continued their journey with only Flowey hidden in their backpack, their only company. They continued until they found a restaurant, where they met Muffet and Grillbys. Both best friends.
Grillbys helped Muffet get the spiders out of the ruins, their fire keeping them all warm until they reached Hotland, their home. They both started a restaurant together! It was a success! The food there was genuinely delicious.
Anyway, Frisk stopped for lunch there (they hadn't eaten anything since they fell underground, they was hungry). However, they was unable to eat their meal in peace, as the chief cook, Papyrus, attacked. She took that job because Mad Mew mew "didn't want weaklings in the royal guard" (her words) and kicked him out. Not letting him even want to be trained. Seeing Frisk there, a flame of hope lit up inside him! He could finally follow his dream! But of course, he couldn't kill Frisk and they both ended up becoming friends.
They both talked about various things. Papyrus mentioned a friend of his who hadn't left the house in months and even showed a photo of her to Frisk. He also gave the idea for the human to convince Toriel to repeal the law of kill humans. After a long conversation, Papyrus gave Frisk his number (even though they said that they didn't have a phone) and went to work.
Frisk and Flowey even tried to continue their journey, but some lasers blocked the way. The talking flower said there was a control panel in the lab that could make them deactivate, so they went there.
Frisk tried to open the door, but it was locked, they also tried to ring the doorbell, but no one answered. Flowey, already bored, picked up a rock and threw it at the window. The human reprimanded him, but still entered the laboratory.
when the lights came on, GOD WHAT A MESS! The laboratory stank worse than a dump, everything was overturned and spread across the floor.
Looking around, Frisk noticed that a woman was lying on the floor, it was the same woman that Papyrus had shown her. She was sleeping amidst stacks of paper and packets of snacks, her white coat was dirty yellow.
The human couldn't see everything so, against Flowey's pleas, they approached the woman and woke her up. Standing up startled, Alphys stared at Frisk for a moment before realizing what they were. The child assured her that everything was fine and that they would not hurt her. Frisk asked if she was friends with Papyrus, to which Alphys nodded and buried her face in her hands. After Undyne's death, she had entered a phase of mourning and depression. Even though Frisk was a child, they could see what was happening.
They both ended up talking, Alphys couldn't hold back her tears and even though that human didn't even know her, they helped her. At the end of the conversation, Alphys gave Frisk a cell phone and let them continue their journey.
A lot of things happened in the meantime, puzzles were solved, soldiers tried to kill Frisk, but managed to reach the palace. The queen was waiting in the garden, irritated by the human's insolence in appearing like this.
Frisk tried to talk to Toriel, but was almost hit by her scythe. The queen seemed in no mood to talk. The fight began, Frisk tried to act, talk and convince Toriel in every way, but she just ignored it. Eventually, she hit Frisk squarely, leaving them with just 1 HP. Flowey was about to intervene, but Frisk decided to just spare Toriel. And when she tried to make the last blow, she couldn't. She couldn't hurt a poor child, even a human one, they was still a child.
She fell to her knees, dropping the scythe. Toriel couldn't do that.
At the end of it all
I would like to say that I had the courage to make a sad ending, but I really couldn't
In the end, Frisk was adopted by Toriel. They and MK were officially siblings!
The law was changed, every human who fell would be a friend, not an enemy.
Mad mew mew was obviously angry with all of this, she didn't like the new terms, but she had to accept it
Alphys finally sought professional help and talked to Papyrus and MTT again
MTT got a robotic body too :D
Papyrus continues to work at the restaurant
Unfortunately, the barrier will never be broken. It takes 7 human souls to do this, something that will never happen.
Bonus; Sans and Toriel are a Canon couple here
My notes
It's really not the best thing in the world and it could be much better, but I'm satisfied and that's what matters!
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me.

12/APR/20XX
i think that was my goal.
remember? the one i was mentionin' about twenty nine pages ago? i'd said something like...
"and when i achieve it?"
"...guess i'll finally close this book for good."
so, i'll count that to be my goal.
therapist agrees, so you can't get on me about that.
sharing inner thoughts was never something i'm great at. so much so that you might've forgotten that's what this was for.
can you believe that? s'posed to be a thought journal. daily mental-state evaluation.
ended up talking about my friends instead.
wasn't for me, i suppose.
...after some amount of pages, huh? geez.
[This calls attention to the fact that the book is much thicker than it was when it started. Seems instead of switching to another one, his journal just... gained pages.]
point is.
seems to me like a good place to stop things at.
i'll give you a final update, and we'll call it. alright?
——
breaking the news went as smoothly as if we'd entered the room and broke a vase on the floor instead. (undyne about did just that.)
the second calamity was when mettaton and my bro show up kinda late
holding hands.
turns out my bro is much more decisive than i am.
apparently it was mettaton first, then paps who decided after a few serious dates.
congrats to 'em.
been deflecting questions best i can all day from the announcements, so i was thankful my bro showing up like that took enough of the heat off me n' tori.
i...
can't stop smiling.
well- alright, that's a given.
but i mean this doofy grin i haven't kept up this long in ages.
i'm not even trying for this one.
all this talk about relationships, i think undyne's gotten excited. talking about marriage and all that. alphys has gone beet red.
grillby and the bar gave me a hell of a lot of pats on the back. i'd be bruised if i weren't bones.
if it wasn't that which would've bruised me, it definitely would have been the punch flowey gave me. the comment that earned me it?
"so..."
"this makes me your dad, right?"
he didn't take it well.
despite the petal-haver's apparent hatred... i think he's secretly glad that toriel's happy.
my bro sure took the news well.
granted, since he already thought me and her were dating, he just was happy for the public announcement.
"WAIT."
"DOES THIS MAKE ME AN UNCLE?!?"
"Are we gonna get another sibling??"
"WAIT, are we gonna get a SKELE-sibling?!?"
"whoa, slow down-"
"Frisk, NO??"
"Do not encourage this BONEHEAD to-"
"I think that is quite enough."
tori puts her foot down on that conversation.
living situations shouldn't change much for now, but maybe we'll figure out something else in the future. (staying with my bro. don't panic.)
concerns about my health have slowed down, as i've gotten more used to daily magic usage. noticed way less bad days recently, right? papyrus still insists on teaching me to use attacks better, so i've got that to look forward to. there might still be ups n' downs health-wise, but i'm confident in getting through 'em now.
paps is noticeably still somewhat anxious about it, fidgeting whenever everything is brought up. which is fair, but. still.
i'll get him a therapist like i've been seeing. an in-person one'll work better for him, i think.
not sure what else'll change, really. everything feels mostly the same.
other than (gasp) public handholding. (scandalous.) every time we're beside one another, tori's finding some form of physical contact.
that's different.
...in a good way.
right now, it looks like the aftermath of a wild party. friends knocked out in random spots; dangling half-off the couch or sprawled across the floor. i think frisk and i are the only ones still awake, since they wanted to put blankets on everyone.
"(Psst. Is one blanket enough?)"
they raise a large blanket in gesture with a questioning look.
i speak extra softly so i don't disturb toriel laying at my side, with her head on my shoulder and an arm across my torso; hand met with mine.
"(yep.)"
"(Kk.)"
frisk lays a blanket over me and tori. they stare contemplatively before speaking.
"....."
"Goodnight, Dad."
"...'night, kid."
welp.
guess that's it, huh?
....
i'm happy.
caring is nice.

When I went on Taglit as a visibly trans woman, nobody bat a eye. I mean that literally. I didn’t get so much as a confused stare. I wasn’t misgendered once, even accidentally. Every single person I met, including orthodox Israelis, asked for my pronouns up-front and used them flawlessly. None of the women I roomed with showed an ounce of discomfort with sharing a room with me or changing in front of me. I expected to at least get a furrowed brow from Haredim in the Jewish Quarter, but no. I was frisked by security before my departure flight to Israel, and in customs after my return, but the security at the gender-segregated Western Wall let me pass with zero issues.
Obviously, every country still has work to do with trans rights. I know visibly Trans people living in Israel face a lot of the same issues that the trans population in my country of origin do. But I feel it shouldn’t go untold that Israel is the only place in the world that I’ve felt truly safe since I started transitioning. It’s not just that— I felt normal. I got treated like I was a normal woman, because that’s what I am. The difference was obvious. I don’t get that treatment anywhere else.

Given that the winter clock dialogue shows Flowey on the surface living with Frisk and their found family (unsure of actual living arrangements but assuming he lives with Frisk and Toriel), how do you think a REAL "yes, I used to be Asriel" conversation would come about?
The winter dialogue does have Toriel acknowledge him as "Asriel", but she was black-out drunk at the time so her thought process/memory in this case is debatable.
She has at least noticed key similarities between Asriel and Flowey, but even if she knows the truth there's nothing to suggest she's brought it up while sober.
I'm more interested in the prospect of a thoughtful conversation between the two after the fact. It seems kind of inevitable if Flowey is spending the rest of his life on the surface, but how would it go?
Would an uncomfortable Flowey have to deal with an emotional reunion? Would Toriel have a better understanding of his boundaries due to more recent shared experiences? How shocked would she be that a part of her first ever child was with her once again?
I'm absolutely positive that she would share custody with Asgore after it's out in the open, even if she isn't completely comfortable with it. Not sure how Sans would feel about things since it's pretty clear he's killed before, but a judge can't really do their job without the whole truth. Maybe he'd be willing to hear him out?
not sure where you're getting the "they're co-living and it's canon" from, flowey isn't shown to be living with toriel, neither is frisk mentioned in any of the dialogues. I'm assuming the implication here is that frisk IS the reader, and that ambiguity allows for both the "i want to stay with you" and "i have places to go" endings. we know flowey's not secluded to the RUINs anymore as was his original plan, and we know he's kept in contact with papyrus, who's trying to introduce him to the others (although unsuccessfully so far), but nothing more than that.
as for toriel, I don't think her calling him asriel was either intentional or rational. I think it was a subconscious expression of the ""true"" reason she's holed herself up in the RUINs trying to save the fallen humans. if a froggit happened to hop by at that moment, she would've done the same to it.
flowey/asriel reveal, huh? hm... let's see. to be honest, i don't think flowey would ever come clean about either his identity or his crimes to anyone else, especially not his old family. not of his own volition, that is. i could see some kind of indiscretion happening that causes him to reveal it on accident, but he would bolt it out of there as soon as he realized his cover was blown. he doesn't like confronting his issues! subsequent conversation attempts with him would be extremely emotionally immature and hard to get through, as the situation would temporarily undo some of his progress after leaving the underground as a trauma response. toriel... wouldn't be doing well either. super messy situation. no one is happy with this
the custody thing is really funny to me. mostly because i find the idea of trying to explain to a lawyer that you need to amend your divorce settlement bc you didn't know you had an undead son absolutely hilarious. but also because flowey would go out of his way to contradict it and do whatever he wants out of spite

Helloo i just wanna confess that im so in love with your frans dynamic 😭😭💙💙💙💙💙 their interaction, their platonic relationship.. aahh somehow whenever i see them i can feel their vibes as a someone who loves platonic partner so bad, the calm vibes and their own shenaningans- which i couldnt stop laughing
Like, romance but most dominated with platonic?? Homies but at the same time love each other but still friend agdhd like that idk how to describe their relation but damn i just love them
How you draw sans and frisk are my most favorite especially your frans dynamic, hope you have a nice day and keep making what you love about them!! 💙
AAAA THANK YOUUU 😭 I'M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW 🥺💙
I've been reading what you wrote over and over and I'm just so glad to hear these from you! Indeed, those are the vibes I'm aiming for these two. Like other people around them, they couldn't really make out of what their relationship status is based on the binary "platonic" and "romantic" relationship. But you just know that they love and appreciate each other and always stick together and that's for sure 😌
I say they're "queerplatonic" because that's the most accurate "label" we can match to their relationship but if you actually asked them what they are, hehe you know what they'll say XD (omg I just love things that exist outside of the established standards made by Society TM)
I should tell y'all the story of how I slowly developed these two's relationship cuz it is also something that's connected to me personally haha ;D
Tumblr media
EEEE again, I'm so so happy that you like my interpretation of Frisk and Sans!^^ What being obsessed with these characters for years does to a mf:
Tumblr media
Please I'm more than happy to share my own take on these two as an individual and how they got to the being the people I've been drawing now as you can tell that these versions of Frisk and Sans are canon compliant and takes place years after the events of the game úဗù my ask box is always open 👀
Thank you so so much! Your words made my day and night and I'll still come to re-read this again and again! Please accept these humble lil doodles and I also wish you a wonderful day/night 💙💙

what prompted you to start making the mutual crush subtext in Chara and Frisk's relationship less "one possible interpretation" and more "explicitly the intended interpretation"? don't get me wrong it's a very cute part of the story that's pretty fun to watch unfold and an interesting way to characterize their dynamic, but i'm genuinely curious as to what specifically made you decide to make them be mutually crushing on eachother over the more common interpretation of them as siblings
To be honest, I just never saw them as siblings in IF and found it frustrating how people treated the siblings interpretation as hard canon when it's just one possible reading. Some people treat that interpretation's popularity as a reason to bully others for having other readings of the characters, but I just think it's important to be kind, 'cause I feel like interpreting Frisk's relationship w/ the goatfam as something else is VERY different from, say, misgendering them, since how Frisk views Toriel and the others is up to player choice. I didn't actually go into IF with any particular ships in mind, but it just kinda developed in that direction, I really liked the dynamic they shared, and it just... materialized the same way IF Papyton did despite me not having strong feelings on the ship one way or the other usually. That's not to say I have anything against the siblings interpretation, and I know that some people aren't comfortable with Charisk because they prefer them as siblings. I absolutely get that, and tbh it probably doesn't help that early IF had the dubious dad stuff with Asgore. While in later chapters, Frisk realizes they barely got to know Asgore and were too impulsive and Asgore shares a similar realization, it probably doesn't help in terms of setting expectations, and that's why for the updated playable version of the Asgore fight, we made some dialogue updates/additions to help better lead into things. I need to poke Phi about getting that uploaded and recorded, 'cause while we don't have any new Rift videos ready, I think a video of the canon route for the Asgore fight with the added Flowey and Frisk conversations would at least be something nice to share. The conversation basically involves Flowey and Frisk talking about what Asgore put Frisk through at the end of part 4C, Flowey pointing out how he warned Frisk not to get too attached/get Asgore's hopes up, and just gives a little more of Frisk having conflicted feelings after they spare Asgore as well (since even if they got a happier outcome, he still tricked them into killing him, which is... a lot to put a traumatized child through who already had a close call with Lilac).

Flowey and Friendship
prior to true pacifist, flowey does not know what friendship is. and how would he?
this is going to be a lot, so actual post under the cut. (figured out how to do that)
let’s start at the beginning. asriel was not known for having a lot of friends. to be blunt, he had one and only one. and that friend is not known for being an exceptional influence. this is not to say that they were horrendous, or cruel, or didn’t care for asriel. but they certainly had an odd way of showing that care.
their end goal was the freedom of monsterkind. and this is an admirable goal. and i’m certain asriel was more than a minor inspiration for this goal. this monster had shown them more love than they’d ever experienced! they felt the need to return the favor.
but enough about chara, they’re a topic for another time. the point is, they tried to help asriel. that was their motive. and what a nice motive! their methods, however… were less than nice.
sound familiar yet?
maybe not. just in case, let me dive deeper into their “methods.” these mostly included stringing asriel along and telling him whatever they thought he needed to hear to follow them in their plan. whether that was to toughen up, an assurance that he’d be with his friend the whole time, or a way to disconnect the souls from the lives he had to take. not to mention omitting information, lying in some form or another…
it was manipulation for a greater good.
exactly what flowey was up to in his early resets. flowey became “friends” with everyone. not even he believes that it was actual friendship. and he is correct.
during the early resets and reloads, however, flowey likely had no idea what he was doing. as far as he knew, friendship was a one-sided effort. a give and take relationship where one gives and another takes. he hadn’t learned it any differently. yes, he cared for chara, of course he cared for chara! and he had taken them in, he did try to help them out… but when it came down to it, they were the one in charge. and the rest was lost to flowey. besides, what was the problem with helping everyone out?
“flowey” wasn’t a product of boredom. he wasn’t a product of curiosity. flowey became who he was because he wanted to reach the best possible ending.
flowey became who he was because he wanted to help people, not because he wanted to hurt them.
and that’s the thing i don’t think he realizes. he never understands that the reason he doesn’t truly have a friend is because he’s working too hard at it. instead he blames it on his lack of a soul. how can he be expected to make friends if he can’t feel love for them?
in fact, this mentality is probably another part of what drove him to his behavior in the first place. before he even started “helping” others, he was confident that he’d never have a true friendship, if he couldn’t even love the people he tried to “befriend.” it was skewing his view from the start. a self-fulfilling prophecy. flowey considered himself part of the outside from the very beginning. he focused all his energy on helping everyone else and none on actually… building a friendship. it’s hard to focus on that when you’re not willing to share anything about yourself. there was a task, flowey needed it completed, simple as that.
flowey also has a lot of distrust and paranoia built up. most players should know by now of the dialogue you get from multiple neutral routes in a row. for just a second, he believes frisk might genuinely want to be friends with him.
and then he immediately shuts the possibility down. now, i think there’s two factors to this.
first of all, they remind him of himself. he’s convinced himself that he’s emotionless, that he can’t feel, so frisk is probably the same. he’s shut himself off from caring. he’s scared that if he believes that they care, he might care too. one of his greatest fears is losing control. if he cares and they lie, he’ll be left powerless. so it’s safer for him to close himself off entirely. he has lost one friend. he refuses to lose another.
second, there’s the certainty in flowey’s mind that he simply cannot reciprocate that caring. why should frisk care about someone who can’t care back? why should anyone? and he hates that feeling of not feeling. he’ll do anything to avoid that. of course he starts killing, of course he starts thinking of people as toys, if he thinks of them as people he has to come to terms with the fact that they are people, that he should care about but can’t. but you don’t have to care about a toy.
in summary, flowey imposes isolation upon himself and refuses to feel.
what about true pacifist, then?
true pacifist is what really give flowey’s arc some closure. because in true pacifist, he opens up a bit. he cares about chara, they’re the one person he’d allow himself to feel for. so it’s fitting that the person he thinks is chara is the one he reveals his identity to. he wouldn’t show anyone else he’s asriel, but chara deserves to know.
and then he shows off for them. not entirely sure why. maybe he feels the need to prove himself to them. prove that he’s not “weak” anymore. that he could kill any number of humans without blinking, if chara wanted him to.
asriel was loyal to a fault, and that loyalty just became greater the more chara faded from a person to an idol. eventually flowey just molded the idea into whatever he thought of it (see post-ruins genocide monologue). they were placed on a pedestal. he didn’t even have to do the placing, monsterkind had that covered already.
chara became a mentality. “kill or be killed.” it’s not some evil mantra. it just means “be strong enough, stop caring enough that you can never be hurt again.” LOVE is a measurement of your ability to inflict pain on others. it’s a measurement of how much you steel your heart against empathy. hp, defense… they both increase when you gain LOVE. you can hurt more. you can get hurt less. and the way to gain it… “kill or be killed.”
the final battle isn’t about defeating some cosmic soul-stealing threat. it’s about helping a lost kid understand that it’s okay to feel.
the souls?
they had nothing to do with it.

I have just come to the unfortunate realization that someone made the “what’s updog” joke before me, so instead I’ll ask what your favorite interpretations are when it comes to Frisk and Chara and how they interact.
I think my favorite interpretation of Frisk and Chara is just the "Narrator Chara" theory in general! Chara narrates for Frisk and eventually they become besties. It is canon in my heart.
But I guess specifically, my favorite interpretation is that they share a body and Chara narrates as a voice inside Frisk's head kinda instead of being a ghost that Frisk can actually see. They share a soul or their souls are linked by their determination or something so they can feel what the other is feeling to some extent, etc. But I also like ghost Chara. It allows for more opportunities for Shenanigans. I usually draw them as a ghost because it's easier to visually show, too.
Also in terms of how they interact, they definitely didn't become friends immediately. Chara probably didn't want to have anything to do with a human at first, but after getting to know Frisk and seeing how kind they are to everyone, they're more willing to open up and joke around with them. And eventually along the way, they realize they're similar in a lot of ways and the fact that they're able to understand each other so well makes their bond stronger.
ALSO I think Chara's the kind of person who likes to talk and make unnecessary comments on absolutely everything (hence the narrating thing. A combination of them just wanting to comment on stuff, wanting to entertain themself/fill the silence, but also doing it to help Frisk). They like to Know A Lot and have opinions on Everything and make sure that everyone (or at least Frisk) knows it. And Frisk is the kind of person who likes to listen. They're also more willing to be emotionally vulnerable and encourage Chara to do the same. But they're also very silly and have their own jokes to tell, too.

ad alium mundum, obsecro, ad alium mundum Command Processing... Command Accepted
Notes seem to appear over the observation. Inputs from the previous User. Some seem basic and some seem to be complete gibberish. "Diversion holding stable." "☞︎⚐︎☼︎☝︎✋︎✞︎☜︎ 💣︎☜︎" "Sentio animo prodidit" The darkness returns.

Command Accepted
The device seems to take the input of both times to automatically load the next world.
The Fallen World
Repeating the same process as the camera once again shows the same room. It seemed different. A bit worn down with an increased red and black color scheme but still having the same matching items and the same matching people... The Device still seems to be in Observation mode as the occupants in the room don't seem to notice you. A Human with slightly different style of clothes. And a Flower in a golden potbot. They seem to be just sitting together. Happy together.

Frisk: "Alright Sneaky the sneaker, I should have known you would slip in a secret message, but I don't blame you,"
Tumblr media
Flowey: "And I should have known we would only get sent to another similar timeline to ours, looks like a goth universe, interesting,"
Frisk: "How stylish,"
Flowey: "Hmph, too stylish, why didn't I get a gold potbot?"
Tumblr media
*Flowey then suddenly grins a big devious grin*
Frisk: "Uh oh! I know that face! What are you planning?"
Flowey: "If it works, you'll see,"
Tumblr media
Flowey: "Survey Program, Contact, voice message! 'Flowey! Osculetur Frisk!' End voice message!"
Frisk: " ...What did you say?"
Tumblr media
Flowey: "I said- *the Cam cannot make out his whispering*"
Frisk: *gasps!*

Why didn’t Kris just drop frisk off in undertale instead of taking them with them to the dark world
Because Kris prefers being in control over their own body. Only if Kris and Frisk share the same world is this the case. Though they did not put the consequences into consideration...
Also it's a case of shared misery. Frisk is the only person who experienced the same thing they did. They are the only one they feel they can confide in.

Howdy! I'm a bit new to tumblr having been following your Killer blog for a while and ended up with a lot of ideas and imagery that I wanted to share with you if you don't mind after all,,, I apologize in advance, this is not my native language, and some sentences may sound strange, I hope you understand
Okay, I won't delay any longer.
I love the concept of Killer, I love what the original author did with him, and I love how many interesting headcanons people have come up with for him And I won’t hide it, but it was your blog and reasoning that prompted me to do something new
So I thought about the concept and decided to… Rethink the Killer character a little, I guess Not that it became anything else, but definitely "Something new", or in this case, "Something strange" (as I decided to call the AU of this version of Killer, which could probably be considered an AU on an AU)
The main thing that was changed in this AU was the Stages, namely what they represent themselves to be.
The emphasis in Something strange is on Player andd Character interaction, and how game elements and mechanics can be used by Characters
Something strange begins the same way as Something new, perhaps with more influence from the Player (or Demon, as the Player will sometimes be called here), but everything is basically the same until the Killer kills Chara/Frisk/Avatar of the Player, after that he himself will become the carrier of the Demon and his Soul will change, which is what this AU is based on
player!Killer has 5 Stages, although ST0 and ST5 do not count for reasons of being two opposite extremes of Character and Player
The higher the Stage, the more player!Killer is a Player than a Character, and the less he cares about others as equals - Players can care about Characters, of course, but this will not be real love, but LOVE, what makes hurting those you love because you love them or because you don't care about them
And Killer has a lot of LOVE
ST0 - The Character, Killer before killing Chara, is not able to return to this stage without removing the Demon and changing the code
ST1 - identifies most strongly with other Characters, considers others to be living individuals, has all the emotional burden on his shoulders and is capable of emotions and feelings of pain. If memories of other Stages are not blocked, then he remembers what they did, but from his own point of view - and is not happy about it. At this stage has a solid LV 20
LV 99
ST3 - a borderline stage between ST2 and ST4, where the Killer cannot be described by any word other than a Monster in the most direct human sense of the word. There is no restraint or control like Stage 2 or 4, just boundless Fun and pleasure in causing pain and suffering to others. LV 999999…
ST4 - Killer, but if only he had the full Player mentality. Or Demon. All connections and “friends” are just paths to passages, new dialogues, and games that can be arranged. At this Stage, Killer fully understands why Players and Creators do what they do. LV :)
ST5 - Demon Vessel. Player. All pretense of the Character is stopped. Not considered a real Stage
What is the difference between a Character and a Player?
Just as described above, the Demon follows the Killer after Chara's death again, replacing the hallucinations with his presence
Therefore, player!Killer is also unsure of the reality of what he sees, not because of the hallucinations of those he loved, but because he can never be sure that his memories correspond to the current iteration of reality (as How would you feel when you know that at any moment your memories and behavior can become invalid for the world around you, but at the same time people believe that everything has always been like this because their memories have been changed in accordance with the new state of the world?) . Because of this, some people may believe that Killer has memory problems. Or hallucinations. This is all about what player!Killer remembers when the Creators changed the world
And since I mentioned this earlier, it's worth mentioning that player!Killer has a lot of gameplay mechanics at its disposal. Starting from the menu and inventory and ending with something more interesting
Perhaps a mini-map where you can set points of interest or track the movement of Characters or other Players, things like that
I also thought about Save Points, and came to the conclusion that it is impossible to use them in the Multiverse in the usual way Let's imagine that individual AUs are single-player worlds, where you can safely Reset the time and try again and again But the Multiverse is a multiplayer game where you cannot touch someone else’s world at will and rewind time, which means, as is customary in multiplayer games, when you die, the Player Character is reborn And we all know that no one will let Killer go so easily, so he will respawn again and again, or perhaps rewind the Fight (if you consider this a game mechanic that creates a small pocket world for fight) until he wins Losing is not an option for the Player, and the Killer will pay for it when his body and Soul are torn apart in a million different ways
Or maybe not, either way I think everyone will have their own version of Killer, with their own headcanons and their own Demon
I have my own collection of headcanons and ideas for both Something new!Killer and player!Killer
So I hope to hear your perspective on this interpretation! I may have explained this AU a little vaguely, but that just allows others to fill in the blanks themselves and add their own ideas, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!
(I also made a small card with what I think the Soul Stages of player!Killer look like)
Tumblr media
Ooh this an interesting idea! Thank you for sharing with me, it seems very fun and an interesting way to explore this character and the concepts. The Stages are so creative and I especially enjoy that ST5 looks like an eye.
I would love to hear more about player!killer, whenever you (or others maybe) have any ideas to add on to it. The idea that, when out in the Multiverse, the Determination created a little pocket world when Killer is just ‘reset’/‘respawn’ after every death until he wins seems fantastic. I can’t imagine the absolute hell this would wreck on someone’s soul, body, and overall mental health and stability, though.
killers poor body is just absolutely going through hell. No wonder my guy doesn’t even consider it his. (And I would also love to hear about your headcanons and interpretations for Something New!Killer as well if you want to share. I love talking about Killer and his alternate timeline and everyone’s interpretations and ideas.)

Before I begin, I...uhhh...have not seen or played chapter 2 of Deltarune, and I don't know when I will be doing that. (I have my reasons.)
However, I still really want to share my thoughts about something that I've been thinking about.. . and I wonder if I'm not the only one.
Okay, so I know all about the theory that Kris (and Frisk) are being possessed and controlled by the red soul, or a ghost (Chara) or the player, I know these theories are very widely accepted.
However, have you thought about Flowey? He has the same power of Determination and ability to manipulate time, and perhaps Sans even has the ability too.
However, Flowey and Sans aren't being controlled by anyone, hell, Flowey doesn't even have a soul to control him, he controls himself.
Have you also thought about the six souls in Undertale that were captured? What makes those souls different from the red one? Were they being controlled too? Or were they just regular human souls? Is the red soul a regular human soul?
It made me think about Kris, are they truly being controlled by 'the player'? Or perhaps even another ghost? I'm fully aware that all the signs point to 'YES'.
But just stop, forget the theories for a second, and think for a moment, Kris is clearly a troubled and depressed kid, their best friend and brother have left them alone with their divorced parents, plus they have to go to school on top of that!
They're clearly dealing with heavy emotions, it probably makes it very hard to sleep and that stupid soul isn't helping! It's what makes them feel their emotions!
....and if Kris has the power of Determination, they're likely Determined enough to pull their soul from their body, detaching themselves from their feelings and forcibly making themselves empty (like Flowey) and locking it in a cage, freeing themselves from their emotions just so they can get restful sleep.
Another thing to think about, that birdcage was there before the game began, it could be a sign that Kris had been doing this for a while before we (the player or ghost) even got there, they could have done this at any point, but no, they waited right before bed.
It makes me wonder if Chara ever attempted to physically free themselves from their emotions too, or is this a trick only Kris can do?
I'm only bringing this theory up because the whole player possession thing has never fully sat well with me, especially after Undertale when Flowey talks to 'us'? as Chara, and then in Genocide, Chara talks to...who? The player? Frisk???? who's truly in control??? It's so vague.
There's so many mysteries within these games, and just as many theories, I'm not trying to disprove any or say the widely accepted one is wrong, I'm just offering my thoughts and widening our options.
In the end, I'm guessing the answers will all come when the chapters are all released.

seem to be falling back into my UT/DR phase lately. Probably quite obvious, but I don't think Flowey's lack of compassion is exactly literal. He definitely thinks so himself,
Tumblr media
but I think it's less a vanishing of compassion and more a byproduct of a complete switch of perspective that occured from the moment he first woke up in the garden. He doesn't quite "feel" anything for anyone anymore because he doesn't view this world from the perspective of an ingame character - as the one who held the power to Save at the time, I believe it came with the side effect of his perspective completely switching over to that of someone playing the game, even if he doesn't quite understand it. There's always an inherent disconnect between a Player and a Fictional Character. A game could tell you "This character is your mother", but you could never feel the same compassion towards that character as you do towards your real parents. I suppose this argument tackles it from the perspective of Flowey being a seperate entity from Asriel - and I do believe this to be the case to a certain extent. It's similar to when the Player takes control of a protagonist with a defined backstory that goes waaaaay back before you even took control. Flowey knows of Asriel, knows of Asriel's history, knows he was Asriel, but as much as he wants to or tries to he simply can't feel the same love Asriel would toward what should be his parents. He can't help but view them as what they really are, even subconsciously - characters in a story. A story where he, at least for now, assumes the lead role. That is of course until Frisk/The Player comes along. He can no longer Save, which means he's ultimately at their mercy now, and as soon as he meets them - what do you know - he feels something! Almost immediately he begins to antagonize Frisk relentlessly, starting with him outright trying to kill them, until instead he resorts to using them as a tool to gather as many souls as possible in one place. He needs his control over the game's Save File back, and for what? To wipe the slate, setting them back to the beginning so they can play together forever. There's a twisted sentimentality to it. A sentimentality he seemingly doesn't ever show towards anyone else except the one entity in the Underground that shares his perspective. Someone he is convinced is an old childhood friend. He knows he can torment them as much as he wants, kill them over and over, because he's been through it himself - therefore he knows they'll come right back. Either that, or they'll simply grow bored and leave him behind. He wants to prevent this in any way he can, and he knows that relentless adversity is the key to keep them from leaving. We usually don't stop playing the game until the main antagonising force is defeated. We don't stop until we reach a satisfying ending. Therefore the answer is simple - dangle that satisfaction in front of their face until repeatedly tearing it away. That way, finally, Flowey can forever play together with a true equal. In his eyes, he and "Chara" are the only two people that truly matter in this world.
