This is the face of Max Moscowitz . Inspired by the documentary 'wij moscowitz' by the Dutch Kro-NCRV that tells the story of a Jewish family that survived the death camps to become the leading family of lawyers in Holland I made this portrait and the portrait of his son.

The ancient city of Myra, located in and around the town of Demre in Antalya in Turkey, was connected to the sea by a canal to the west of the Myros River (Demre Stream). On the other side of the canal, the ancient port of Andriake was used for sea transportation and trade.

Myra is especially famous for its Lycian rock tombs, Roman theater, and Byzantine Saint Nicholas Church (Santa Claus). Rock tombs, Lycian inscriptions, and coins show that Myra has been in existence at least since the 5th century BC.

According to Strabo, Myra, one of the six largest cities of the Lycian Union, was called Myrrh in the Lycian inscriptions. The 2nd century AD was the time of Myra's great development.

Temple Philae, Egypt by Henry Stanier (ca. 1831 - 1894) Philae Temple: Philae 𓃂𓏭𓈗𓏏𓊖 “wˁby.t” (Coptic: ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲕ, ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲕϩ) is an island 𓈀𓈇𓏤 “ı͗w” downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser, Egypt - Beloved Land 𓇾𓌸𓂋𓆵𓇋𓊖𓊖 “t3-mrı͗”. Philae was originally located near the expansive First Cataract 𓊪𓈖𓂝𓇌𓏏𓈘 “pnˁy.t” of the River Nile (Hapy) 𓎛𓂝𓊪𓏭𓈘𓈗 “ḥˁpy” in Upper Egypt/Southern 𓇾𓇙 “t3-šmˁ” and was the site of an Egyptian 𓂋𓐝𓎀𓀂𓀭𓏪 “rmṯ” temple 𓉞𓉐 “ḥw.t” complex. The temple complex was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam Artist: Painter of flowers, genre scenes, and architectural subjects in oil and watercolour; born Birmingham. Lived in Birmingham, where he studied at the Birmingham Society of Arts and School of Design. He later relocated to Granada, Spain, where he served as Vice-Consul.
