Aryballos, Greece, between 520 and 510 BC
Aryballos, Grecia 520 - 510 a. C.
(English / Español)
This ancient Aryballos, a small globular flask used to store perfumes or oils in ancient Greece, offers a fascinating insight into the cultural and artistic representations of the time. Dating to between 520 and 510 BC, the artefact is now kept in the Louvre Museum and shows the faces of two women, one Greek and one Ethiopian, adorned with the Greek word 'ΚΑΑΛΟΣ', meaning 'beauty'.
The inclusion of the Ethiopian woman in the Aryballos is particularly noteworthy, as it reflects the ancient Greek literary tradition of the 'Ethiopian Tales', which described these distant lands on the edge of the known world. These tales, dating from the 8th century BC and reflected in the epic poems of Homer, recount the adventures of Greek deities and heroes, such as Menelaus, on their adventures to these mythical realms.
The juxtaposition of Greek and Ethiopian women in the Aríbalo suggests a cultural exchange and an appreciation of the diverse representations of beauty during this period in ancient Greece. It speaks to the interconnectedness of the Mediterranean world and the curiosity and engagement of the Greek people with distant cultures and civilisations.
In addition, the use of the Aríbalo in bathing ceremonies among athletes further highlights the importance of this artefact. These small flasks were commonly depicted in vase paintings, showing their integral role in the rituals and practices of ancient Greek society.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luna Con Morado Opalo: Una Relación Mística Entre Moon and Amethyst
The Luna: A Imagen de Misticismo y Transformación
For millennios, the moon has tenido un profundo significado a nivel cultural. In Astrology, the moon simboliza nuestro interior, nuestro subconsciente, y nuestras reacciones emocionales.
In Hindu religion, the moon has a conexión con Chandra, a divinidad que representa serenidad, emotividad e intuición.
Luna Con Morado Opalo: The Interconnection Cosmic

So… since I just finished the game, I could finally go search art about it, theories, rooms of requirements, news on it, easter eggs, you know nice stuff that can be found along with spoilers (hence the waiting until I finished it) and so whenever I want something that involves creativity and gets lots of points of view I can’t usually get to by myself I come to tumblr, because it rarely dissapoints to provide what I like.
That said, and knowing that many of the offended won’t care either way, I loved HP universe growing up, it’s a cool world and I also love videogames and I’ve been waiting for a game where I could do many of the things I wanted to do for many years. Then the author showed her colours, and I’m told that I’m supposed to hate that awesome world because she’s an idiot.
Well, I knew about those twitter comments, I didn’t look further into them but my plain reaction was that JKRowling was Salazar Slytherin basically, right? Founded it, was an absolute dick about acceptance later on, so go f**k yourself and off he went never to be seen again near the school.
So now, and I mean literally right now,I find out about the antisemitism. While searching the hogwarts legacy tag, I came across a lot of hate towards the game for the transphobia, to be expected I guess, being tumblr the place for allies of the lgtbq community it’s always been, even though, and I know it’s not enough, I kinda expected someone to be a tiny bit happy about transgender character representation in the game, as a character you can make and as an npc. Again, I know, not enough if the author is a dick.
That’s what I knew like an hour ago,and then I also came across the antisemitism, which I knew nothing of.
Again, not excusing myself but I would like to point out, I never made any association between the goblins and jewish people. I never cared to look at the nazi propaganda, because well, they’re nazis, so whatever representation of anything they made was stupid and clearly no representation at all, just hate. I knew about the images of hooked noses and greedy behaviour, but never even saw a person with a nose like that and assumed they were jewish or anything the nazis intended me to see.
I have been called innocent many times, because hateful intentions in things really fly over my head, and maybe, like me there are a lot of other people oblivious to this hate and just saw and awesome world as a child and wanted to go back to it, and after going to the internet to share the experience with others just got insulted, questioned and shut down for a game about a magical world that was created by what’s clearly and idiot and didn’t even exist.
The reason I’m spouting all this here, is because the post I’m reblogging is the one I agree with the most, and posts like this are very rare in this hogwarts legacy tag. Too much hate here in tumblr, this ain’t twiter, jeez
That said, I liked the game, I had fun with it, some things could be improved, no doubt about it, kinda expected some sort of peaceful solution with the goblins, ‘cause I felt they kinda had a point, but I guess they can’t undo the canon or something. (I mean, let them have wands, and basic decent treatment, they’re not asking for that much I think) same goes for domestic elfs, if they want something deliverately being taken away from them, don’t take it away?
Btw, I’m not trans, so I know I understand next to nothing about what they go through, I try to understand what it feels like, as much as I can, but I usually try to understand people by observing behaviours in real life, tv and such, (I’m really bad at human interaction) and since they don’t get much representation, and I don’t know anyone in person it’s taking me a bit (I got a little bit closer interacting with Sirona I hope)
As a side note, I’m student of ancients civilizacions and it basically feels like the offended ones would make me cancel literally everything I’ve studied. Every author in history had issues with at least one community, I’m sure that if we brought back form the dead Hesiod, Homer, or Cicero they would be even worse, not excusing for JKRowling’s dumbass s**t, but have some perspective on this.
Tbh I don’t understand the point of paying more attention to her, or insulting people that like hogwarts’ world, even if they don’t like her, what’s the achievement here? I get the ones not wanting to go back to hogwarts for those reasons, maybe feeling better with themselves and their choices, I get that, I respect that, is the insulting I don’t get. They’re the ones chasing people off now, I mean… This rage people have will eventually fade, so calm down now, before you hurt someone you care about, because of a differing opinion on the ownership of a FU**ING VIDEOGAME
Sorry for the long and emotional post here’s a cute snidget
My Thoughts on Hogwarts Legacy
This is something that has been on my mind recently as more discourse about the topic is coming to the forefrunt of the internet. Hogwarts Legacy and, honestly, the Harry Potter franchise as a whole.
As I see things, there are 5 groups of people when it comes to "THAT wizard game."
"Hey, I don't want to play it because of my own personal reasons. But if you want to play it, I hope you have fun."
"Hey, I do want to play this game because of my own, personal reasons, but I understand that you're not interested. That's cool."
"This game gives money to a transphobe?! Awesome! I just bought two copies."
"You want to play this game for your own reasons? You're a transphobe piece of shit. I won't stop until you know you're a piece of shit."
"Harry Potter? Hogwarts Legacy? I haven't played video games since I lost 2 weeks of my life to Banjo Kazooie in 1998."
If you fall into either category 1, 2, or 5, then right on. You're doing the right thing. Keep it up.
However, if you fall into either category 3 or 4, you are a fucking problem and you need to cut the shit and grow up.
Personally, I fall into category 1. I feel I have made my views on the game and franchise fairly clear. But also, I have a good friend who learned to read because of Harry Potter. I grew up with the franchise and it was a huge part of my childhood, and recognizing that I no longer want to engage in the franchise felt like a huge loss to me, and took some time to reconcile with myself. But, again, I have made that decision based on the larger franchise and not simply this one game. And, also again, these are my OWN PERSONAL REASONS. If you're interested, I will gladly share my thoughts in a civil manner, and only ask that you understand my thinking, not that you agree with me, or try to convince me to change my mind.
Now, to address category 3. Deep breath, here.
If you are doing anything at all because you know it will make the lives of people worse, then fuck you right to hell. Yes, this group of people also generally goes hand in hand with a specific red hat and an orange demagogue. If you find yourself in this category, get help. Go to therapy and ask about this concept called "empathy."
Category 4.
I will repeat: if you are doing anything at all because you know it will make the lives of people worse, then fuck you right to hell. Setting up websites to track Twitch streamers to see who is playing Hogwarts Legacy? Going to channels and harrassing the streamers for wanting to play the game? I would argue that people in this category or worse than those in category 3 because while those in 3 as assholes, they are blowing money on something they don't actually care about to try triggering someone while people in this group are going out and actively attacking people for engaging something that they want to experience for, and repeat after me, THEIR OWN PERSONAL REASONS. I saw in one chat that someone mentioned they wished executions were legal because people were doing something they didn't like. Sounds an awful lot like some people who built some gallows outside of a notable large building in the US back in the beginning of January 2021, doesn't it?
Here's where things really boil down on Hogwarts Legacy. The game is made. It's done. Rowling has been paid or will be getting paid. You attacking people for enjoying the game isn't going to stop that. But there's a lot more people than just her in the mix, here. Think about all the hundreds of people who have spent YEARS working on making this game, and trying to make it the best game possible. They have also been paid and are continuing to get paid. Controversy has surrounded Hogwarts Legacy pretty much since it was announced. And it wasn't cancelled.
Here's where I see things going with the game: it is the outrage of the day. Somewhat surprisingly, the outrage of Hogwarts Legacy's release is overshadowing the much more recent information about Justin Roiland. People will continue to be upset by this game for a while, and eventually that will fade, as all outrage does.
But you know what won't pass? The hurt caused by people to other people over this game. Your friend, who you disagree with about the game, sitting in their home, playing the game, is not going to hurt you. Streamer playing the game and you don't want to watch it? THEN FUCKING DON'T. Full stop. For fuck's sake, people were buying subs to a twitch stream just so they could continue harrassing the streamers after they made the chat sub-only. Fuck you. Grow up. And like I told the people in group 3, get therapy.
Actually, everyone should go to therapy, but that isn't the point of this.
Here's what my point of view boils down to: let people enjoy what they enjoy and stop shitting on things just because people enjoy them. Yes, the situation here is more complex and nuanced than that, but every situation is. And if any part of this rambling has made you angry or upset for any reason, I'd like you to think about why that is. I am not advocating for people to play the game or not play the game. Honestly, I just couldn't give a fuck what you want to play in the privacy of your own home. I just want people to be better. Treat people better. Be better people. Recognize that everyone on this planet is, at the very least, deserving of being treated like a person and deserving of love. And if you can't understand that fact, did you really understand Harry Potter at all?
#hogwarts legacy#transphobia#transphobes#antisemitism#Dick of an author#harry potter#video games#Don’t be a Salazar#My opinion even though nobody asked for it :)#Just trying to bring some confort to those feeling as bad as me for seeing all this anger that was building up while saving mooncalfs#There’s never only two sides to a story#The goblins kinda had a point#It’s a game ffs

2022
9 polaroids b&w10.7 x 8.8 cm9 dibujos sobre papel 23 x 30.5 cm
Gabinete de madera 100 x 120 x 112Mapa a carboncillo sobre papel113 x 143 cm
It is a photographic project that reflects on the archaeology and local history of the community of Itzamatitlan, Mexico. The series is based on the false historical account that assures the discovery of nine pyramids in the area. From this, I constructed, as a fiction, photographs of foundations and vestiges that refer to past civilizations.
Speculations about the existence of pre-Hispanic evidence in the locality have been addressed in some books of pre-Columbian history of the State of Morelos. Several authors converge in the finding of ceramic remains found in different parts of this region, something that has always been heard, as in my case, my family always told me that if I dug a little I would find fragments of ancient pottery. Researching about the past of the town, I realized the popular version that dictates the supposed existence of nine pyramids, a story found on websites like Wikipedia but that retake public pages of the government, tourism publications of the State of Morelos, among other means of information, from this I gave myself the task of confirming the story and visited the town asking about the existence of the buildings which yielded negative answers, also in the history books, which I consulted in my research, there is no evidence of the 9 pyramidal bases within the community.
In this way the project appropriates the story and generates a visual output, with archaeological but also humorous overtones - creating fictitious foundations that illustrate the false story.
Part of the work is also composed of a series of drawings that I made at the beginning of the year when I started the project. These sketches, beyond having functioned as steps to follow to build the vestiges, have become speculative images, a projection of how that construction could have been.

The 5 Pre-Flood Civilizations: A Look at Their Mysterious Names
Introduction: The history of humanity is full of enigmas and mysteries, and among them are the ancient civilizations that existed long before the biblical accounts of the Universal Flood. These pre-Flood societies, whose names have been lost in the mists of time, leave us with a sense of wonder and curiosity. In this article, we'll explore six of these civilizations and the mysterious names they've been associated with over the years.
1. Atlantis: Possibly the most famous of all pre-Flood civilizations, Atlantis has captured the imagination of entire generations. According to the writings of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, Atlantis was an advanced and prosperous island located beyond the Pillars of Hercules. Unfortunately, the exact name of this legendary civilization has been lost over the centuries.
2. Lemuria: Lemuria is another pre-Flood civilization whose name has endured in theories and myths. Lemuria is believed to have been either a continent or a series of islands that existed in the Indian or Pacific oceans. The name of this ancient civilization is derived from "Lemur," a reference to lemurs, primates native to Madagascar. Although the existence of Lemuria has been widely dismissed by the scientific community, its mysterious name continues to fascinate researchers and enthusiasts of the unknown.
3.Mo: Mu is a legendary civilization that, according to some theories, existed in the Pacific Ocean. The name "Mu" is attributed to James Churchward, a 20th-century British explorer and writer who claimed to have discovered ancient tablets revealing the existence of this lost civilization. However, the credibility of Churchward's claims has been widely questioned. Despite this, the name "Mu" has endured in the field of pseudoscience and historical speculation.
4. Hyperborea: Hyperborea is a mythological civilization that is said to have existed in the far north of the Earth. According to legend, Hyperborea was a place of eternal summer, home to a race of superior beings known as the Hyperboreans. The name of this ancient civilization is derived from the Greek "hyper" (beyond) and "boreas" (the north wind). Although details about Hyperborea are scant, its enigmatic name evokes images of an unknown and mystical land.
5.Shambhala: Shambhala is a legendary holy city found in Buddhist and Tibetan texts. Shambhala is said to be a hidden kingdom located somewhere in the Himalayan mountains.

Someone asked me about the au where Danny gets "trapped" in a human body after no longer considering himself one
It's still a work in progress based on the last unicorn AND Princess Kaguya.
Danny helps the earth(not neccesarily his og one)from time to time, every few decades or years he just pops up where he Is needed*COUGHTclockworkCOUGHT* so he appears here and there in history,Fairy tales and myths.
Somehow he meets the Titans 1st gen and gets close to them, he Is considered a young ancient so his age is kinda weird, the other ancients allow him to spend Time with the Titans because they consider Danny a child, what's a few decades to a being that's older than most human civilizaciones?
His favorite humans are the Robins... Stuff happens and one of them accidentally does something that makes him human again
He HATES it
I haven't decided If it's Jason's or Tim's fault
Decide for me :3c
Danny Fenton Is Miku. In this essay I will-[gets shot]
Nah,but fr. Danny Is basically everyone's Barbie doll
So far I have an au where he is Damian's twin, one where Damian's basically looks at him and goes "this Is mine now", an au where Damian hates his guts so bad It makes him looks stupid/ref, one where Dick has a massive crush on him,one where Danny loves Tim like a brother while also being Tim's walking nightmare, one where he eats radiation like a plant and Is basically a show cat, one where he Is bitty itty child AND one loses his humanity slowly and gets "trapped" in a human body after years of no longer thinking of himself as one
Those are the ones on the top of my head and he Is Barbie-like because I modify not only his looks but also some(a LOT) of his character traits :D

(Transl.)
Q: Have the Crystal Gems inspired myths and legends in the ancient civilizations of the Earth?
A: A few, I'm sure, but I'd rather avoid the "ancient aliens are the reason our ancestors achieved certain technological advancements or are behind some other unsolved mysteries" idea. The human race deserves some credit, haha.

Reptiliano 2:
....................
Reptilian 2:
Another one of my attempts to use color, I have no idea why it got stained, but oh well.
The Bamarin (I used to call them Barin, and the name may change again) are the oldest sapient species in the world of Yura, they were not the first, but the one that has lasted the longest, they are basically humanoid reptiles. Their history stretches back hundreds of millions of years, and this world has seen the rise and fall of countless Bamarin civilizations in that time. The last time was a hundred thousand years ago. Since then the Bamarin have recovered, and while they have not reached the level of their ancestors, between their own advances, and what they have gleaned from the ruins, they are the most advanced species on the planet in both technology and magic. They dream of the day when they will surpass their ancestors. Although this was not the case for some of the ancient Bamarin civilizations, today's Bamarin are mostly pacifists, a knowledge-loving people who are friendly and willing to share their discoveries with other sapient species.

Mada’in Saleh, Arabia Saudita.
_______________________________
This ancient city was carved out of sandstone. In the past it was a meeting point of several civilizations, since this was the trade route between the Arabian peninsula and the Mediterranean.
Some of the inscriptions found in the area date back to the second millennium BC. However, all the remaining architectural elements are dated to the period of the Thamudi and Lihyan civilizations, between the 8th and 6th centuries B.C.

Lost Ancient Civilizations...In the Middle of Nowhere - The Sumerians & Mesopotamia
It is truly remarkable at just how many ancient sites exist on earth, that you’ve never seen or heard of before. For most anyone, when we think of lost ancient civilizations, they think of sites such as, the Pyramids of Egypt or the perhaps the Great Sphinx. We think of the circular arrangement of stones that make up Stonehenge in England. We may think of ancient South American sites including Machu Picchu or perhaps the enormous, as well as mysterious puzzle of stones that make up the Sacsayhuaman wall in Peru. Or, maybe we think of the ancient Aztec or Mayan civilizations, and the pyramids that are found in Mesoamerica. But of course, for people that are more familiar with the topic of Lost Ancient Civilizations, essentially people who research it for fun in their spare time… For them, other, lesser known ancient sites may come to mind… Such as, the 12,000 year old site of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, the world’s oldest known Megalithic site, which is a total mystery. Or perhaps they think of the of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. A very large, and impressive site that wasn’t even rediscovered til the mid-1800’s. And I’m sure some people may think of the Lost City of Petra, located in Jordan. Too few people are aware of this incredible site, which is mostly known for its brief appearance in the final scene of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. So, although some of the sites I just mentioned are not known by say, a majority of people, there are other ancient sites that are virtually unknown to almost anyone, which I’ll be sharing in this video. In fact, these details that I’m about to share, will really get your mind thinking about how much we don’t know about our ancient past, and more importantly, just how much is waiting to be discovered - and within our own lifetimes… Let me start off with an example that you may have seen in the news just this past week. Which was the fascinating discovery of lost ancient ruins, in Mosul, Iraq, which was hidden and unknown for at least 3 thousand, 4 hundred years.
