I just wanted to share that I just read Aggressive Negotiations for what's probably the 10th time. And now, while going through your tumblr, would like to say that yes please, write a million more fics about Anakin being really cute and Obi-Wan having a meltdown about it -- the fandom will thank you for it, I will thank you for it, even George Lucas, Anakinnie that he is, will thank you for it.

I really do love that genre of obikin. You think I'd be tired of describing Anakin's face by now but somehow I'm not! I have disjointed notes on a fic that is basically 1. Obi-Wan discovers Anakin is beautiful when a senator makes a weird comment 2. Obi-Wan is a lunatic at the Jedi council about it 3. ??????? 4. Obi-Wan and Anakin are in love now. I could probably turn it into something. Not necessarily something coherent, but I would get the opportunity to talk about Anakin's cuteness some more and really, that's all I've ever wanted.

Actually realizing I kind of have beef with obi wan generally not even because of anything he does as a character but because of the way that people who are big fans of him act like literally everything and everyone revolves around him . Read that in maul enjoyer voice obviously. Lmfao. At least when the Anakinnies do yhat its like objectively factually true

I'm gonna upset some Anakinnies and Anakin stans but like... the whole point of his turn to the dark was because of his own selfish choices. People love to blame palpatine and obi wan for varying reasons, but at the end of the day it was Anakin who chose to side with a Sith Lord. Anakin who killed defenceless padawans and children he was meant to protect.

Once he became Vader, he took lives for the sole sake of doing so. Vader and Anakin aren't separate personalities. Vaderkin or w/e went around destroying innocents, their homes, their planets, and generally being downright cruel to everyone around him. All of that was his choice.

Don't get me wrong I love anakin but for effs sake I know a villain when I fuckin see one. Stop coping and trying to justify his lack of morals and inherent selfishness

How easy it is to do terrible things once you have died. When everything has changed and decayed, and its your own doing. Guilt would eat you alive, so it's very convenient you have died.

You had a choice, and you were so selfish. you thought it was selfless at the time, to stand up against what you were raised in to save the life of your love, to save the fate of the galaxy! This is your purpose, and finally, someone shows you what you must do. And you know what you must do, but it hurts so terribly. Does it hurt more than the loss you have experienced? The isolation and loneliness? Or is it familiar and seductive? You are so tired and fall in quickly and don't try to fight your way out as the dark envelops you.

You hadn't slept much for weeks, losing sleep and gaining stress every night. How easily you were manipulated then! The years of war and turmoil and secrets weighing on your soul, making you question everything. Nobody to turn to, nobody hears you and you dont know how to say what you want to say.

How often you were questioned, harassed, scrutinized, by your own "people". Whether you belonged, whether you did too much, whether you were too dangerous. How the secrets weigh heavy on your soul.

To walk into the temple with your light sword drawn was a terrible thing, but with each step you crush a thing called conscience a bit underfoot until it dies. The last things you feel are horror and disgust as you do the horrible deed you now know is your fate.

You die when you join the Jedi, you die with Shmi. You die over and over again with Padme. You die during the clone wars.

You died with Windu. You died with the first youngling. You died when your Master struck you down. You died when you kneeled to your new Master, in that penthouse where you discovered his terrible secret and his seductive truth. You died and all that was left was hollow.

When padme died, when your children died, the hollow was filled with void. You become the void filling the suit. The suit is empty. You inhabit it, but it envelops you. This is who you are. This was your fate. You are now dead. You are now alive.

Anakin Skywalker, human being, has died. Long live Darth Vader, Lord and faithful servant of the Galactic Empire. This is what remains.

Anakin and Padmé would NOT have been the great parents that all the Anakinnies imagine even if Anakin hadn't embraced the Dark Side, and you can add all the ifs you want to that but you wouldn't be talking about the same characters anymore.

Also no, Leia isn't like Anakin or Padmé because while we inherit some brain stuff from our biological family, we also learn to think and behave from what the people we grow up with model for us and those people were BAIL AND BREHA, and I'm sick of all the "Anakin and Padmé get to raise the twins" AUs! (Same applies to Luke, although it's a different case from Leia)
