"L..? What happened to your eye?" Dimentio's voice is softer than usual, filled with concern. Mr. L growls, "well,"

Mr. L tackled Mario to the ground as brainwashed helpers took the other people away. L swinged his fist and punched, again and again. Mario was bleeding when he finally got loose from L. "What is wrong with you?!" Mario called, wiping away the blood from his nose. Mr. L stayed silent, standing not far from Mario.

"seriously! I'm trying to save the whole world and you just come in and destroy things! This is the third time! What is your deal, Mr. L?!" Mario's voice was filled with frustration. L started breathing heavily, his brother hasn't changed at all, has he? Well, he was about to finally put an end to it.

Mr. L reached to his pocket, and quickly ran towards Mario, taking out a small dagger. Mario jumps to the side to avoid the attack, making L fall on his face.

"I'm the hero here, you're not!" Mario's voice echoed through room, and through Luigi's mind. He really thinks he's the hero...? After everything he's done..? To me... To others... No, he's no hero.

Mr. L jumped at Mario, managing to stab the dagger into his arm. "I will show you what you truly are!" L yelled, his voice like a thunderstorm after a calm day. He took the dagger out of Mario's arm. Mario groaned in pain, the blood barely visible on his red shirt.

Luigi lifted the dagger again, now aiming for his brother's heart, "the torture ends now." He lowers his hand towards Mario's chest, but Mario quickly reacts and slaps the dagger away from L's hand.

The two dart across the room to reach the dagger, but Mario slides on the floor, making him just fast enough to grab the dagger before L.

Mario was now standing in front of a bloodstained man that looked like a corrupt version of his brother, weapon in hand. L tried to use his super jump to get behind Mario, but the adrenaline in his brother's veins is quicker, and he's punched to the ground.

"ugh!" L calls as he hits the floor, his breathing getting heavier with every passing second. Mario tightened his grip on the dagger. L's eyes widened as he realized this isn't a fight he can win. Luigi backs up, still on the floor. His back hits the wall, he's cornered.

Mario steps closer, and closer, and closer. He's now standing right in front of his corrupt brother. "I am the hero." He raises the dagger and stabs Luigi.

L is fast enough to try and dodge. But not fast enough to escape. The dagger meets his eyeball. He passes out from the pain.

As he wakes up, he notices he's alone, but in the same room he was when he lost consciousness. Why? It didn't matter. The dagger and Mario were gone. He looked around, only to find his own left eyeball staring back at him from the floor.

"..." Dimentio placed his hand on Mr. L's shoulder, "you'll get him next time, L."

"I highly doubt that, Dimentio." He turns around, facing away from the jester.

Dimentio sighs.

Mr. L leaves the room, going back to fix his failed robot, hoping to finally create something to beat his brother.

listen. listen to me so carefully right now. (if you're in the eclipse path/planning on viewing). please don't stare directly at the sun tomorrow. i am begging you - do not stare at it. if you got eclipse glasses off of amazon/other, please put them on in your house and make sure you can't see anything; if you can still see like regular sun glasses, they are not safe for eclipse viewing, you will burn your retinas, and we cannot fix that. eclipse glasses should be iso/ce certified, and aas (american astronomical society) approved. please make smart choices and protect your eyes. please.

I've been seeing a lot of crusty little dog positivity lately and I respect it. More people should get them, they're really the only genre of dog genuinely bred for companionship. But let's be real; they are hideous. I'm so sorry but shih-tzus look like a rug someone left bunched up soaking wet in a corner to grow mildew, but with bulging goopy eyeballs and a brachycephalic wheeze. I don't mean when they're elderly, they look wretched as soon as they leave puppyhood. Great personality, they're good little dogs and all, but it can't be denied that they're ugly as sin.

edit: "Only companion breeds" is hyperbole. You don't need to list every companion-bred dog to me. Peace and love.
