it always pisses me off when fantasy stories have a cast of conventionally attractive humanoid characters with like,, different colored hair or something. like what do you mean your story is set in this amazing fantastical world with monsters and centaurs and aliens and sentient blobs, but your main cast is just a bunch of average joes?

Lighting really makes a difference when you're photographing herps! These are all the same gray tree frog in various stages of me rescuing it from the pool, giving it some fresh water, and then putting it back on a tree.

"This is Tiny 😂 the frog I raised a few years ago I’m assuming it’s a she because the frog got huge and female Cuban free frogs tend to be bigger. I had Tiny in a fishbowl for a while after I saved her from a drying puddle on my fish pond cover as a tadpole and I had released her when she grew legs. I think it’s the same frog- (it’s hard to tell as they can change color and pattern at will) -because she never really left my yard instead choosing to live underneath the pond cover or around my greenhouse. Plus she is the only frog who will climb on my hand if I set it down in front of her and she will just chill instead of hopping away like the other frogs."
